My contribution to @mcytblraufest! I created an au based off 2000s toy based shounen, like Yu Gi Oh, Beyblade, and Digimon. Jimmy's our protagonist who's come to Tango's shop to learn all about Hermit TCG, a card game so popular the world practically runs on it!

I got to work with two amazing writers who each did their own take on the concept!

@drunkintergalacticemotions has written Season 1: The Strange Card

Both are multi-chapter and will continue to update until the 9th, so keep an eye on them and here for more to come!

“The thing is back,” Beef was quiet when he said it. No one was outside. There were no more seafloor walks– not when there was a sonar target the size of a city bus lurking in and out of their feed. Etho had insisted he was fine, that he could do his job. But even Beef and Doc had noticed something off, although Bdubs was pretty sure they weren’t paralyzed from it like he was. Bdubs couldn’t help but crowd forward now, unbuckling his belt. There was a different smell in the Nocturne than before– like hot ozone, like sweat. Like the inside of something's mouth. Bdubs thought it might be fear.

Dogwarts - A Horror-Themed Minecraft Map

Ever since the beheading, paranoia has taken hold of the Red King.

Dogwarts is a short Minecraft map full of secrets, made for AUFest 2024's Reverse Big Bang. You can find more information on it here, including the world download, content warnings, how-to-play guide, and a video showcase for anyone who can't or doesn't want to play through it themselves.

As part of the event I had the honor of working with two INCREDIBLE writers, Sparrow @erstwhilesparrow and Writer @capriciouswriter207!! Both of them did a masterful job bringing this story to life in a new medium, and I'm delighted that I got to have them on my team <3 Check out their fics:

The things Martyn carries with him have dwindled to almost nothing. One bucket that he doesn’t dare abandon to the capricious shadows, a handful of glass bottles. A scrap of banner that he keeps in his pocket, that he wipes his sweat on but never without feeling a little bad. If it’s the tunnels themselves that are responsible for all his misfortune, they never make a sound to suggest so. If this place is haunted, it’s not haunted by any ghosts but his own.

The enchanter must be protected at all costs. Away from prying eyes, deep below the ground, nobody but Ren will ever lay their eyes on it again. A labyrinth of dirt and stone must be dug to further protect it. The process weighs heavily on Martyn, and the tunnels themselves seem to suffocate him. It's all worth it, though. The enchanter must be safe.

It's my second year of participating in wonderful @mcytblraufest, this time in a reverse big-bang, so brilliant @crystalrainwing wrote a story based on my art and my Sentient Weapon Grian AU for 3rd life smp! :DDD

It's been in my head for a very long while and i probably wouldn't have done anything with it if not for this event, so thank u so much to the organisers of this wonderful event and to my writer, and go read their story, do it!!! :DDDDDDDDD

Honestly I don't have much of an explanation outside of I like the irony of a Blind Watcher. And. Well. Grian is right there for things to go awry like that. So,

and speaking of writers.. my art garnered the attention of not one, but two writers, who both created fanfics based off of my art!! It's been such a cool experience seeing how differently they've both taken things and they're both VERY WELL DONE!!!!!!!!

Parts make up a whole, but Mumbo hasn't been a part of anything for a very long time. He was okay with that though. The world was more than welcome to continue outside his window, as long as he had his oven and his cable tv all to himself. But every once in a while, the outside world comes inside, and he has to chase it back out with a broomstick. This time, his technique backfires in a way he never could have imagined. Or... Mumbo could count the number of his friends without even raising a hand. Who knew that a 30,000 year-old creature stealing his bed comforter could change that?

Six months ago, Mumbo’s closest friend vanished without a trace, leaving nothing but unanswered questions. 6 months later, a strange creature appears in his bedroom, with no inkling of how or why. With no clue how this creature got there or what it wants, Mumbo is thrown into a whirlwind of confusion as he tries to figure out what is going on. Now, Mumbo has to continue trying to figure out where Grian went, all while learning what this creature even is, and how to help him without harming him in the process. To make matters worse, the only person who can help him unravel this mystery is the one person Mumbo swore he would never work with: Scar.

Jimmy Solidarity works for the esteemed god of Death, reaping lost souls and taking care of unsavory characters. He's recently finished his training, and is determined to do well on his first solo mission. Perhaps this "Tango" would be a good start. Only, the god of Death disappeared years ago, and Necromancer Tango Tek's long since discovered a way around dying. He can't say he enjoys Jimmy swinging through and killing him where he stands, though.

Thank you to my team for being as feral about this AU as I am, and kicking everything about it up to 110. I had so much developing this world with them!

Thanks to @onawhimsicot for helping me with the comic's dialogue, fixing my composition woes with "just add more smoke," and encouraging me to complete it in full color! Check out Cadence's aufest fic, I take it back (ill follow till I fly or till im dead), a Cult of the Lamb AU about follower!Tango and Lamb!Zedaph, the meaning of devotion, silly experiments, eldritch transformations, and...the most platonic slowburn ever?

Lastly, thank you to the aufest team for another wonderful event! I had a blast again, and was giggling kicking my feet at everyone's reactions during claims, I loved every single one of them. Graveyard Shift is definitely an AU I'm coming back to. As always, my askbox is open if you'd like to chat, and I'd love to be tagged if anyone makes anything <3

While Graveyard Shift is the amalgamation of many of my interests, the main premise for this AU is loosely inspired by the webcomic, I'm the Grim Reaper, in both its apocalypse themes and its aesthetics! Not a required read, but highly recommend if you enjoy this au, as well as the anime and manga, Soul Eater!

I came up with a lot of AUs for this event but necromancer!Tango and reaper!Jimmy have been rattling around in my brain in separate AUs since before I started brainstorming for aufest. So I smashed them together, naturally.

Originally, Tango's outfit was going to be more like his Dungeon Master outfit but I wanted the setting to be more modern and Jimmy stole the fantasy cloak vibe from him already lol

Jimmy's entrance of lightning is my nod to the Life Series final death sound

The scarf Jimmy's wearing is designed to be a boneyard shawl

+ The name "Graveyard Shift" was thrown at me by Cadence in like 3 seconds flat after i spent 2 days agonizing over a name for this au LOL

PET Mail, made up of Pearl, Etho, and Tango, are asymptomatic carriers of the zombie virus that has wrecked their world ever since the bombs fell. While this bars them from interacting with the uninfected outside of special circumstances, it allows them to use their powers to deliver mail across distances and locations that would be too dangerous for the uninfected to travel. Traveling, meanwhile, allows them to never stay in one place long enough for the feelings to catch up. Unless, of course, the mail is personal.

this is my piece for @mcytblraufest this year, as inspired by this wonderful art by @chirrups! it is betaed by @aistandardcherry. it's a zombie apocalypse fic that is heavily inspired by double life featuring a very tired and sarcastic found family, a couple of gruesome deaths both past and present, my attempt at dumb apocalypse names, technically real locations that have been fictionalized, and of course: THE MAIL. i had a whole lot of fun writing it, and i hope you all enjoy it!

warning that this fic is rated m for violence; it is probably just about a notch above stuffed bird, if you read that, though only one or two notches above. reader be warned!

updates will be, as is normal for me, once daily until the whole fic is posted. enjoy!

Bonus art for the Hermit TCG au! Don't forget to check out the two fics written for this au!

Their character designs were the funnest part of this. Tango gave me the hardest time but I figured something out that felt right. Jimmy, by contrast, was super easy. The biggest influence was Beyblade, especially for their faces and hair and general fashion, but I took inspiration from yu-gi-oh and pokemon for other aspects, particularly the long lanky legs and short torsos. I tried to make something that was clearly inspired but still its own unique look that fits in with the aesthetics of the time, since these shows have such diverse art from each other.

Hiiiiii!!!

I participated in MCYT AUFest's Reverse Big Bang event this year!!!! Whereas usually big bangs have art inspired by fics, this year's has fics inspired by art!!!!

I used a lot of inspiration, mostly Pinterest, for these and rewatched Ghost in the Shell. I love how they've both turned out!
