But every once in a while, the outside world comes inside, and he has to chase it back out with a broomstick. This time, his technique backfires in a way he never could have imagined. Or... Mumbo could count the number of his friends without even raising a hand. Who knew that a 30,000 year-old creature stealing his bed comforter could change that?

I’ve read that Logan S. felt really lonely being the only American in F1. Like, he wasn’t completely accepted in the grid. Maybe he has an overprotective older sister who is a professional soccer player (like World Cup level good) who finally has time to attend his races. She dislikes most of the grid, except Alex and Oscar, for how they treated her brother. quick to defend Logan and even as far as annihilate them during the annual driver soccer match to prove a point. Im thinking G. Russel pairing due to Logan living in England. he wins her over by treating logan right, acknowledging he could have been welcoming, etc. Just a thought!

George Russell x reader, logan sargeant x sister!reader

Y/N loves her brother, she really does. Yeah, she’s tried to get to a few of his F2 rounds, but with her soccer taking her around the world, she has had very little time. She has the entire month off though, so what better to do than visit her brother at his home grand prix. Miami is always a party, so maybe she could let loose for a bit, try and relax, and find a guy.

This is quickly vetoed when she finds Logan cooped up in his drivers room. While most people would think that he was excited for the race, most people weren’t Logan’s sister. She could tell he was thinking too hard about something, and it wasn’t good.

“Hey Logie Bear! Whatcha thinking about?” She tried to appear happy, but she could see that Logan’s smile did not reach his eyes

“Nothing, just excited for the race, the car is quick, just aiming for some points, hoping for a safety car. The garage is over there, sorry I have to warm up.” Y/N looked up as Benny entered the room and Logan stood up. She could tell how closed up he was, how he didn’t want to talk at all

“Okay, we’ll talk after the race Logan! Good luck, you'll smash it!” Y/N walked out of the drivers room towards the garage seeing the chaos of it.

Y/N watched as Logan apologised over again and again to his engineer for not making up any more places. She stood there listening to his engineer reassure her younger brother. She eventually decided that she couldn’t listen to it anymore and decided to wait in his garage room.

When he walked in, Y/N could tell he wasn’t sure whether to throw stuff or cry. 

“Hey, hey, come here! It’s okay, it’s okay!” She opened her arms and sat down as Logan fell down into them and hugged her baby brother, as he started talking the words just rushed out

“I just wanted to prove that I deserve to be here, feel like I’m a part of the paddock.” Logan hugged his sister back tightly, hesitating slightly.

“What do you mean? Of course you’re a part of the paddock, you’ve got your seat, y’know?” Y/N was confused as to what her brother meant, from what she had seen, he was welcomed warmly by everyone.

“Yeah but, I’m never invited to the grid parties, no one really ever talks to me, except Alex and Oscar, and Oscar is getting into the rest of the grid through Lando, and Alex is only really talking to me because I mean, he’s my teammate we have to be friends, and I just want everyone to like me… so I thought maybe if I got some points and good overtakes, then people would like me..”

“Oh, Logie… It’ll be okay. If they don’t like you then I think they’re just idiots, but they won’t. They’ll warm up to you, I promise.”

George watched as Y/N sprinted up and down. Okay the F1 team was never going to win, particularly when multiple women who were playing in the world cup were playing on the opposition team, but ‘Sargeant’  (who also had the same name as the rookie driver this year, who was sitting in the stands) was dominating, she had more goals then all of the f1 team, so of course the celebrity team won 4-1. She’d almost immediately jumped into the stands once the referee blew the whistle and started talking to Logan, maybe the kid got married young and just didn’t want anyone to realise. 

Although she looked quite similar to Logan, so maybe his sister instead. Either way, she did not seem to like them, she called them all dickheads and shoved them over a few times. George’s knees were sore. But she was still pretty. So he approached Logan and the girl.

“Hello! I’m George and…’

“I’m pretty sure my brother knows your name, Georgie! Why don’t you say hello to him?”

“Y/N-”

“No. Say hi to Logan, George.” She smiled, but it didn’t reach her eyes, almost forced.

“Hey Logan! Looking forward to the grand prix this weekend?”

“Uhhhh… yeah. ” He turned back to Y/N “I’ve got some stuff to do, so you can make your way back. See ya!”

As soon as Logan was out of listening range, Y/N pulled George in and started whispering, “Listen, I don’t know what problem you have my brother, but you need to get over it ASAP, understood?”

“I.. don’t have a problem with your brother.”

“Well, then why is he telling me that there have been 2 people, Oscar and Alex, who have actually welcomed him to F1. Everyone else has snubbed him and he doesn’t understand why you don’t like him. He’s lonely. So fucking sort your shit out.”

George stood there, mouth gaping as she stormed off to grab her bag and then sprinted after Logan. He could almost hear the f1 team laughing at his failed attempt at flirting, but all he could think about ‘was what she said true?’’

Y/N was going to cry.

She could see Logan in the family and friends box, hands over his mouth, eyes glassy.

That corner kick should’ve gone in, she thought, we had so many chances and we still fucked it all. Couldn’t even give Megs a proper farewell.

She walks slowly over to her younger brother and let his arms wrap around her

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry. Dragged you halfway ‘round the world when you should’ve been training only to lose the first game.”

“Hey, hey, it’s okay, don’t worry about it. Go pack up, we can head home and spend some time in London relaxing. I’ve got next week off before I need to be back in the factory.”

Y/N was awoken by a knock on the front door. Hearing Logan snoring from his bedroom, she got up off the couch, rubbing her eyes and opened the door.

Of all the people she was expecting to see, George Russell would’ve been just about the last on her list “Uhh, hey?”

“Oh, morning! Is your brother up?”

Y/n paused for a moment to let George hear the snores coming from Logan’s bedroom. “Yeah, no, sorry. I can pass on a message?”

“Oh, No I was just going to offer if he was still up to go on a morning jog with him, but as he isn’t…”

“You been doing this often?”

“Almost every week we’ve been in town. I don’t think he understands what or why I’m doing this. But, he’s a good kid, opens up a bit when you talk to him. He likes you, respects you a lot for 2 siblings pursuing their sport across the globe.”

“I’ll make some breakfast and you can stay til Logan wakes up, okay? As a thanks for looking out for him. Hard for me to do from across the globe.” Y/N looked tense, with an almost forced smile. She looked awkward, before stepping back, holding the door open so George could come in.

“Hello, dear sister, what do you want?”

“I think you must have watched a different grand prix, I got P12.”

“Hamilton and Leclerc got disqualified, something about wood, but you got points!”

Y/N looks at the buzzing phone on her bedside table. Well clearly she had grabbed Logan’s phone before bed last night. She looked at the contact name

‘George - probably calling about something from the GDPA.’

She picked up.

“Before you start talking, I’m not Logan and I have not signed any NDAs related to his contract so, don’t talk to me.”

“Hi Y/N, do you know where Logan is?” George’s voice was way too cheery for however fucking early it is right now.

“Yeah he’s in his bedroom, he grabbed my phone and I grabbed his, why?” Y/N swung her legs out of the bed and stood up, still rubbing her eyes.

“Oh, can you come answer the door?”

“The door, why?” Y/N got up, and walked to her front door and opened the door to …nothing.

“George, are you pulling a prank on me? There’s nothing at the door.”

“You haven’t opened the door!”

“George… Logan and I are in Florida for Christmas. I’m guessing you’re in London.”

“Oh…yes. Bugger. I came to congratulate him on his contract renewal and so now I’ve got food and flowers and stuff and he’s not here!”

“If you go round the block to 20 XXX Close, there’s a single mom there, who will appreciate some Christmas cheer Georgie.”

“Oh, thank you. I’ll send it over.”

“Why were you congratulating Logan, George? I didn’t think you cared. Only Alex and Oscar have reached out so far.”

“I..I remember what you said at the soccer match, about Logan feeling ostracised by all of us. So I’ve been trying to make him feel welcomed… not just because you said that, and I like you, but also because I kinda realised we’d all be failing him as a grid, so i thought if I started it, maybe others would catch on. It didn’t work, but I think he feels more included.”

“That’s very nice of you Georgie. I’ll pass on your congrats. Now it’s like 7am here, and I didn’t need to be awake today, so i will be heading back to bed. Night Georgie boy.”

hello hello! can i just say, i love your takes so much. it feels like you’ve read my mind on how katara would actually react in certain situations. currently myself, im rewriting the structure of the show in a way that makes more sense (aka, getting rid of kataang altogether and focusing on actual growth for each character including aang!) and im struggling a bit on aang actually!

we know how brykke basically stunted aang’s growth because of their weirdness. but what if aang never had a crush on katara? what if he sees katara as the big sister he always wanted instead, making their relationship more wholesome than weird? i think he’s such a centralized character, but when i develop the others beyond the show, aang feels like he’s left behind.

maybe that’s part of it too! he is a boy out of time, and now more of a concept than a person as far as anyone else outside of his immediate group knows. in this au where i intend to age everyone up, i’m just curious to see what kind of man aang would grow up into if his motivations for katara was never there. i see him as trying to hold onto his lost childhood and then having to come to terms with the fact he can’t. but i’d love to hear your thoughts. who is aang outside of that? his journey has the opportunity to be so fascinating, but brykke kind of said hey! let’s not get into that! let’s make him a creepy god boy who gets whatever he wants!

(also to note, this version of aang is meant to be with azula and while i love the meta ive seen about taang i do personally hc her as a lesbian but i do like them but yeah!)

I definitely agree with you that he’d try to hold onto his childhood & have a hard time with his grief; coming to terms with the depth of his loss would be an exceptionally interesting arc. His people were victims of genocide: his culture and his loved ones were brutally murdered. Nobody can replace that community, not even his chosen family of the Gaang, and certainly not a romantic partner.

But Aang certainly is somebody outside of all that tragedy too. I think his cheerfulness and optimism, his playfulness, his resilience, his reluctance to assume responsibility, and his prodigiousness are all important facets of his personality.

Here's my piping hot take: Aang is James Potter with a more tragic backstory and less of a cruel streak. Think about it: mischievous, funny, adventurous, brave, enjoys attention, popular, devoted to friends, prodigious, entitled when it comes to love interests, morally inflexible, dedicated to Good, can be too arrogant to recognize his own faults. We hear that James became a pretty decent guy, so there's plenty of potential for growth for Aang, especially if he doesn't get his forever girl at age twelve.

Aang has a big heart and stringent morals, but is still a bit of a trickster. Not in a malicious way, but in a “I have a zest for life way” that gives him a little bit of an edge beyond just being a sunshine boy. You can see this even in ep 1, when he sacrifices himself so that the village would be left alone, only to haul ass out of the Fire Nation ship as soon as they’re safe. You can also see it in The Great Divide, where he straight up just fabricates history lmao. Lying is not an issue for him at all, which indicates it’s not really part of his moral code.

On the other hand, he obviously feels very strongly about taking life, which indicates a black and white approach towards morality that is not uncommon in kids. I could see an older, more mature Aang being led to question his own approach to morality, particularly by someone like Zuko, who probably finds violence a lot more palatable than lying. I think there are very interesting cultural differences that can be explored here, which doesn’t necessarily mean that Aang will change his opinions, only that he’ll have greater respect for how other cultures see right and wrong, and that he can keep Air Nomad culture alive without taking on the burden of being the manifestation of that culture. He has the innate impulse to try to see the best in people, which is at odds with his black and white morals sometimes. Related to that, he really struggles with morally grey characteristics in his friends. I think that if he had a fleshed out opportunity to properly disagree with his friends, he may not necessarily change his own mind, but he might grow to value his friends' freedom of choice over imposing his own values on them, since one of the cornerstones of Air Nomad philosophy is apparently about freedom. I think his pacifist voice is an important contribution to their ragtag group of overpowered pre-teens and teens and I love it when that aspect is explored in fics.

I've seen some really good depictions of Aang-not-obsessed-with-Katara in fanfiction (Southern Lights has my favourite one; in fact it's my fave characterization of basically everyone except for Mai). I see most of his flaws as things he can grow out of, but only if he encounters difficult situations and learns to grow. three fucking hours. For what? some infant approaching earth? it made no god damn sense to billy.

three hours ago, stu had came over to his house, said he had some movie randy gave him that he wanted to watch. Only problem is that it wasn’t their usual type. it wasnt some movie with an unnecessary amount of gore and sex like psycho, it wasnt a apocalypse type movie like evil dead..it was..well. some space movie.

billy was never one for nerdy topics like space. stu was though. Autistic bitch.

From his point of view, this space odyssey 2000 what fuckin’ ever movie sucked. it was boring. billy had high hopes for the movie, especially because of how excited stu seemed to be about it. Psh. yeah. hes never trusting his judgement in movies again. 

“half of the damn thing was full of dave breathing! how can you call that a good movie?! What did you get out of this?”

stu stood on the bed, his arms flailing about in the way they always did when he was excited about something. he gasped, loud and dramatic. he always acted so offended when billy was right about something.

“how can-” he turned to a make believe audience outside of the window before turning back to billy. “its a fantastic movie! Way better than that deathproof shit you put on!”

“At least deathproof has some god damn gore in it!”

“does not!!”

billy grabbed stu’s ankles, tugging them forward and forcing his balance off, causing the taller boy to fall back.

they always argued like this. stu would find a shitty movie billy hated and then would get all pissy that he didnt like it. he knew billys damn taste in movie! gorey, sexy, women getting killed, men getting fucked! anything rather than this gay guys x some fucking robot in the wall bullshit!

“for your information, you dick,” stu grumbled, sitting himself up, “i got..a really good david bowie song out of this!” he scoffs, crossing his arms. 

yeah yeah, david bowie. sure. fucking david bowie. billy couldve spent his time literally any other way and yet he sat here with stu watching some faggot movie because david bowie made a song based on it. of course. very fucking stu like. 

he was already in too deep. something about seeing that stupid smile on stu’s face made the night a little more tolerable. his eyes were almost as bright as the stars in that stupid fucking movie. every time he spoke about it they would light up, bright blue shimmering much like some white dwarf stars he used to talk about. billy’s been with stu throughout almost all of his shitty little obsessions; space being one of them.

it was entertaining watching him get excited over some robot. billy had listened patient throughout the movie as stu rambled about how he highly doubted they would be this far in the future of space technology in 2001. sure, they had made it to the moon only a year after this movie was created, but still, he had his doubts.

billy huffed out a laugh, shaking his head in disbelief. this guy was so stupid.

stu seemed to take offence, slapping his hands down on his knees. “david bowie makes damn good music, fuck you! he made starman, ill have you know! you like that song!”

that was true. billy did enjoy that song. but it wasnt just the song. it was the song when stu sang it. thats what he liked. he liked watching his stupid partner in crime let loose, acting like he was on some talent show where the talent was more performance based and not on how well you could sing.

“whatever man..” billy muttered, reaching forward and tucking his arms under stu’s. he tugged him toward his chest, draping the boy on his torso. stu instinctively wrapped his arms around billys neck, head resting on his shoulder. it was a little uncomfortable, considering the one under him was much shorter than he was. 

it was dark in billys room. the tv had the credits of the movie rolling, everything else was dark. billy sighed, lifting a arm and tossing it over to his bedside table, pressing play on his radio. some rock song started playing - he recognized it as the ramones. cool. that works. the volume was low. 

“if your dad catches us like this, we’re dead.” stu whispered absentmindedly. he wasn’t wrong. billy’s father wasn’t too fond of their..’friendship’. of course, it was more than that. but he didnt ever speak on it. and stu knew better than to question their relationship.

it didnt matter to either of them. they had their plans. billy’s dad would be dead soon enough, he was one of the reasons his mother left anyway. his life didn’t matter to billy and stu could care less about the loomis family. he was only interested in their youngest son. 

the shorter hummed dismissively, his hand lifting and burying itself in stu’s growing hair. christ, billy needed to cut it again. he’s been cutting stu’s hair since freshman year. they had plans to give him a bleached tip look once they had gone through with their plans. yknow, different identities and shit like that.

there was a small vibration coming from the spot on his shoulder where stu’s neck was resting. the taller was humming to that song they both enjoyed. starman. it was dumb. stu was dumb. it was also really fucking calming. too calming. billy hated being vulnerable like this. there was so much that could go wrong. he could be left again.

stu had been the constant in billy’s life. since middle school, when they met, stu has been in billys life. for most of it, it involved them obsessing over some gore video stu found on the dark web, maybe occasionally killing an animal or two. then they hit highschool. that was the time they ‘lost their minds,’ as stu’s older sister once said.

they were closer than ever in highschool. maybe it was the urges for violence getting strong, maybe it was billys mother leaving. whatever it was, it led them here. in billys bed, in the dark, listening to shitty rock.

stu turned his head to face up, giving billy his award winning smile. “billy?” he asked, voice all innocent. “if our plan were to backfire, and you died..would you wait for me in the sky? like in the song?”

billy chuckled, snorting at the thought. there were a few things wrong with that question. “stu..why would our plan backfire? it’s perfect as is. and if i died, wouldnt you die too?”

“no! i could say you pressured me, then i wont be arrested.”

“yes you would idiot!” billy slapped the back of his head, causing stu to groan. from pleasure or pain, he didnt care. stu was fucking weird.

“would not!!”

after a few shoves and a few giggles, they settled again. it took a long moment for billy to finally answer his damn question, just like it always did.

“if i died,” he started, “youd be the first person id haunt. watch over. whatever, same thing.”

and thats all stu needed. he never got an ‘i love you’ out of billy. he always jumped around saying it. status got it down. anything similar to it would count in his book. hearing that one sentence made his heart beat just slightly faster. yeah, yeah billy loved him. 

and thats enough for stuart. billy was his starman.

deaf au fiction!

Before you start reading I just want to say something really quick!!: this may be inaccurate to inky mystery due to the fact I'm not that far into it yet! This also may have poor grammar! (I'm trying lol) the story may not be interesting due to the fact I'm not very good at making fanfiction yet! And if there are spots where I miss spell something it's because I had to wake up in the middle of the night because of storms and I had to wake up early so I'm a bit sleepy XD if you write and have tips on how to improve it I'd love that! Bendy woke up to the glow of the sun on his face. His eyes fluttered open as he looked around the room, he looked at boris's empty bed. Bendy swung his legs over the edge of the bed and got up before walking to the door.

He walked to the kitchen, grabbing an apple and taking a bite into it. Boris walked over and tapped the granite counter top that bendy was leaning on, trying not to scare him.

Bendy looked back at boris and smiled before taking another bite.

"Morning, bro!" Boris said while wagging his tail with a bright smile on his face!

"Good morning, boris." Bendy said softly with a smile.

Boris went to go watch some cartoons, leaving bendy in the kitchen alone. Bendy ate the crisp red apple and threw the core into the trash! He felt a knock against the counter, and turned back to see Cuphead

Cuphead walked past bendy and opened the fridge to grab something to eat. Bendy watched for a few moments before turning to leave. He walked over to the coffee table and grabbed a book and sat down on the couch as he began to read. He jumped as he felt a sudden tap on his shoulder and turned to see mugman.

Mugman gave a sheepish smile "sorry, I didn't mean to spook ya" he said making sure to face bendy.

"It's ok" Bendy replied, a bit quietly, not sure how loud he was being. Mugman peeked over his shoulder to see what he was reading. The cover of the book read "the adventures of felix the cat!" Mugman swore up and down he's seen bendy read this at least 5 times. He tapped bendys shoulder again.

"Golly, how many times have you read this? I knew you liked Felix's books but I didn't know you liked them *this* much" he chuckled.

"Oh, yeah I really like Mr Felix's work. He said he's working on a new one and I'm super excited for it! I'm just re-reading his books to pass the time" Bendy replied, smiling. Stars, he loved talking about Felix's book. He always got giddy when the topic came up and when he starts talking he won't shut up. It drives boris bonkers but he always listens to his brothers rambling (sometimes bendy gets so loud he doesn't have a choice but to listen) because it makes him happy.

"Thats cool! I think you have a bit of a obsession with his books though" he chuckled. He wasn't wrong and he knew it. He knew how much bendy loved those books.

"I just like them" Bendy said before he continued to read. Boris scoffed playfully and mumbled something to himself that mugman didn't catch.

There was a knock at the door! It was likely felix coming around like he normally does. Sure enough Cuphead answered the door and felix stood there with a smile on his face, showing off the sharp teeth he had.

"Hey there Cuphead! How's it going?" Felix asked. Cuphead looked a tad irritated to see felix there. Cuphead isn't known for his kindness..that's for sure.

"It's..fine." he said before letting felix in. Felix walked over to bendy, making sure to sort of stomp whenever he could to get bendys attention. Bendy looked over at him and smiled "Mr Felix!" Bendy said.

"Hiya bendy! How are ya?" Felix asked with a smile. "Im doing good" Bendy replied happily.

"Thats great!" Felix said before ruffling bendys dark hair.

Anyways, I had written a whole ask waxing eloquent on all the wonderful things going on in ttsbc, but I accidentally shut off my computer partway through and frankly I can't be bothered to write it all out again lmao. The REAL thing I wanted to talk about was Traveling thieves (which is by far my favorite fanfic of ALL TIME), and all the amazingness in ttsbc made me forget it even existed for the past few weeks. But the other day I was just like "oh yeah. Traveling thieves." and then i reread the whole thing. whoopsies.

Ummm anywyas there's so many thoughts in my head about all the little guys, but recently I've been on an Imp and Skizz obsession (just scroll on my page for .2 seconds and you'll see) and YOU. You left them on a CLIFFHANGER. >:((( (not actually mad btw). I just. so excited for them. They're out alone in the woods right now and Skizz is going to have the perfect opportunity to kill Impulse and get away and I just am falling apart thinking about them. (I drew them to cope lol, posted on my blog but also later here so that I can talk about it more). I can see this playing out a few ways. Obviously Skizz isn't actually going to kill Impulse, so he's either going to 1) make up some excuse as to why he can't do it right then, but still plans to do it eventually, or 2) he does it. but he doesn't. Skizz attacks Impulse when he's not expecting it, there's a scuffle, and Skizz comes out on top---BUT THEN HE CAN"T FINISH IT!!! and it's a whole thing where even tho skizz tried to kill him, imp is still so understanding and skizz cries and impulse just freaking gives him a hug and

Whatever you do will be beautiful, I'm sure. I think you mentioned you're switching to tt after this fic, so crossing my fingers it's imp and skizz. (Though, would also be very happy with Martyn and Ren :P) (or anything really i just love tt)

Anyways, I had the art on my blog but I'm also putting it here so i can say things about it to you

Mostly I'm just very proud of their expressions, with Impulse being all concerned glancing over at Skizz, meanwhile Skizz is completely deadpan staring forwards, also looking very tired bc he needs a break from this universe. Also I switched up my Impulse design a lil bit from last time (if u even remember that lol it was months ago now). you would think, just looking at them, that Impulse took way longer to design, but nope, I was messing around with Skizz for at least double the time, trying to figure out how to have him facing forward whilst still showing some of the scars on his back. I gave up eventually xD (all that means is that im gonna have to draw him again later, from different angles)

actually that made me remember a question I had: are you planning to ship Imp and Skizz? Ik you said Zed and Tango are going to be a thing far in the future, but... skizzpulse? plzzzz plz pretty please haha im not obsessed

aaaaaand that reminds me of another question, is skizz going to be in ttsbc? (pretty please also same question as tt, if he was in ttsbc, are him and impulse together? Im addicted to them all i care about these days is some good imp and skizz shipfics, and you're such a fantastic writer, both with plot and the vibes of the words themselves. u could write such good imp and skizz. just imagine the possibilites! (am i selling it?))

Also like how their conversations seem healthy? Understanding and trust? Honesty? I'm so proud lol Can't believe we have come so far!! Their normal and playful conversations! And sweet moments! How whipped Vegas is?? I can see Pete is so comfortable with a gentle and causal touch too. Caressing, kissing and coming to Vegas just like they are glued together. Missing each other after like what, 30 minutes apart? And I saw those heart skipping a few bits! The feelings! They are coming like a wave!!

I love this chapter. So sweet, hot and domestic. It unsettles me how much can go wrong now especially now they seem relatively happy. The connection they already have is already sooo deep - they will be unstoppable in the future.

oh yay im so glad you thought so!!! yeah tbh its been building for a while like vegas has for sure been getting off on Pete telling him what to do for a long time so it was interesting to finally bring that element into their sex life too- vegas was very down bad lol and extremely excited for pete to tie him up lmao. must be such a strange experience for him considering pete's one of the very few people that he actually trusts not to hurt him. like that is a rare thing for him!!! so of course its easier in a lot of ways for him to give up control like that and allow himself to be vulnerable. hahah yes pete is matching vegas freak for freak hahah and they are definitely hitting their orgasm quota lol.

this is entirely possible i did get inspired by asks (my memory is terrible lmao) but a lot of the asks do get me thinking more deeply about certain aspects of the fic that help me down interesting paths in the story. tbh i needed pete to be caught dressed as tankhun by the russians for the future parts to unfold later and when i started thinking a bit more about korn and kan's upbringing and if there might have been things they were jealous of/ fighting with each other over the original ring just became a part of that. esp since theres themes of generational trauma in this fic so it was easy to imagine their father being kind of a dick as much as they now are to their own children, so of course he would have intentionally denied them the ring and made it into such a big deal that they decided to make their own copies instead out of spite- but still never measuring up to his expectations lol irony.

yeah nah i get that vibe it does seem almost silly to put such importance into the rings as status symbols because theyre not doing that much otherwise. omg vegas being so embarrassing and trying to flaunt pete around at the club in front of all of his exes and the people who know him and hate him and then also at the same time being super jealous when they hit on him lmao. hes like i got me a baddie dont even try to steal him from me. yes it is a little heartbreaking that scene tbh because we've seen them flirt of course but we haven't seen very much of them being truly playful with one another. so it especially sucks that the arrival of the russians ruined that for them- and omg yeah so embarrassing for pete to be caught doing that since he's a pretty reserved kind of person in comparison to vegas.

yesssssssss they are really figuring it out together now!!! they are starting to grow into a couple and are having the kind of normal conversations now where they try and learn more about each other. things have really gotten so much better after they've built a foundation of trust first. things were never going to get off the ground without that- even with pete still being in denial/ hesitant to fully give himself over to vegas. but this chap is so good with showing how comfortable and domestic they are with each other now its wild. and yes their connection is growing deeper and deeper- to the point that pete isnt going to be able to hide what this is from himself for much longer. we are seeing all the cracks starting to show from that already because pete is slowly falling in love!!!!

oh don't be nervous about that!!! tbh this fic is entirely driven by all of the interpersonal drama of their relationship-like the plot is there of course but the focus is in the day to day of their interactions and how theyre beginning to cross that divide from prisoner/ jailer to committed and generous lovers. theres going to be a bit of tension in their relationship before they figure it out but theyre not at risk of destroying everything- because that's not the point of the story. like i have no intention of unnecessary angst or killing one of them off or anything like that- they are going to get that happy ending even if it kills me lmao so dont be too worried about what could go wrong!! eyes youre so right they will defs be unstoppable in future!!

After Eddie leaves Chris, he finds Maddie and Sophia wearing twin expressions of distress. Truly, the disappointed, peeved expressions of two sisters - one of whom isn’t even his - might just be too much for him to stomach. He’s kind of terrified. 

“What’s wrong?” Eddie asks. “Apart from the obvious.”

“He took all the keys,” Sophia says. “Every single set of car keys. What the hell did he do that for?”

Eddie thinks of May collapsing. 

“He doesn’t want me behind the wheel.” He presumes. “In case he kills her. My heart will stop.” 

“Oh my god,” Maddie sighs. 

“Can we take your car?” Eddie asks. 

Maddie nods. “We’ll have to.” 

He follows her and Sophia out into the driveway, locking the door behind him. He climbs into the front passenger seat of Maddie’s sedan. Sophia slides into the back. 

“So,” Maddie says. “Where am I going?”

“Long Beach,” Eddie says. 

“We have to search all of Long Beach for him?” Sophia replies. “Nothing more specific.”

“She works at the Promenade, she lives in MacArthur Park.” Eddie replies.

It is a big deal, though. It’s a big deal to Eddie. 

He gets this stupid idea in his brain. Really, he knows it’s stupid. Born more out of desperation than real logic. But here Maddie is, this chance encounter he made and had the opportunity to save. He did it, didn’t he? He saved her. And she likes his kid. She’s good with him. She has somewhere potentially safe to go. 

Maybe Maddie would do it. Maybe she’d take care of Chris for him, while he looks for Shannon. Maybe she’d keep him safe, her and her brother. Not forever. Just for a little while. 

Eddie needs to leave his son with someone he can trust. And he thinks he can trust Maddie.

When they’re finally far enough away from the scene of their near devouring, Eddie pulls over off the side of the highway. He lifts Chris out of the backseat and holds him tight, wrapping him up as if Eddie is a weighted blanket, until his breathing and his heart rate are normal again. 

“I was so scared, Daddy,” Chris complains quietly. 

“I know, buddy. I’m sorry you were scared. You’re safe now.” 

But he’s not. Not really. Eddie can say it all he likes. He can be determined to make it true. But it isn’t. Not yet.

They take a long enough break to stretch their legs and collect themselves. They pee in a push. They drink and eat from what little Eddie has in the truck. Then it’s time to get going again. Based on the map, Eddie estimates they only have a little under two hours left. Nothing, really, in the quest for safety and reuniting Maddie with her brother. 

They check the radio again as they get closer. There’s still no signal. He sees the worry blossoming on Maddie’s face, though she tries to remain positive. There’s nothing more Eddie can say to comfort her. He feels badly about that. But they both know the only thing that will quell the anxiety is an answer.

Fix it for him? Whisk him away? He doesn’t really know.

Okay, so, so far I am glad that the scene/scenario was so short, like that arc of this episode is the comedic arc (so far) that keeps the ep light. Yes, it is more paget in Emily than we’re used to seeing, but also, Emily is full on losing her shit and it’s this loose, a little wild, unhinged Emily (that we saw briefly in the ep Saturday when, once again, she was intoxicated) we also at this point in the ep don’t know how/why/when she got high. And things like cbd/gummies/smaller doses are pretty regularly and readily available, correct? (I live in Canada, its all legal here so im not sure on specifications and im too lazy to google it rn lol) OBVI it would be very against fbi protocol, but again, she’s convinced she’s lost her job already… (and we all do some wild/stupid/rash things when we think we’ve lost our jobs/are on the brink of it… trust me..)

I think this is the first time we’ve gotten to see Tara use her doctorate (is that the right word lol) amongst the team and I hope we get to see a lot more of it. Like, let’s remember that she’s a dr!

ok about how quickly i'm writing these, i surprised even myself with that because even a couple years ago when i was at the peak of my fanfic writing days, i'd post like once a day (on my old blog which i deleted) and i've never been that productive again. im happy that people like roose though theres like a noticable lack of content for him.

AND YEAH SDLKFJDF happy to please only came up in my head because i saw a tiktok that said book roose said his first two wives would lay there silently and he found it somewhat endearing that walda would actually be vocal, which i thought was kind of sweet and out of character for him to say. my mind started wandering to what it would look like in action.

i can absolutely imagine like the second time they have sex, reader is very shy, covering her face as you said. and when roose tells her that he wants to see her, she forces herself to look at him. i think the dynamic i wrote in this fic, he's more loving with her so he'd probably prefer to take reader in missionary, particularly with his forearms resting on either side of her head, forehead pressed to hers. it'd make every noise she makes more audible, every microreaction more visible, and every time he wants to he can just lean down and brush her lips with his.

reader's probably braver and tries less to hide her pleasure going into the future.

roose probably never felt this kind of passion with anyone and he'd actually feel excited to bed her, sometimes catching his thoughts wandering during the day. then he snaps himself out of it and is like bruh im stupid theres so much work to do rn and im thinking about my wife. but seeing her is definitely always the highlight of his day.

on the overstimulation, i think reader probably helped him realize how much he likes eating pussy for sure. because shes so sensitive and reactive and she'll grab his hair and buck against his face shamelessly. he just thinks she's the most beautiful, most sexy thing he's ever seen and even after reader has cum so many times, it's addictive to him. he's always like "one more, i know you can give me one more, sweet wife."

its so much to the point of like when he finally fucks her, reader is squirming around so much and he has to calm her down with little kisses to her forehead and temple. and she can feel it every time his pelvis rubs against her clit.

firstly sorry for going silent for a while - im doing something thats really keeping me busy and i haven’t had the time to do much. speaking of which, i wanted to ask you for some advice - how do you go about writing your fics? like, in specific, how do you come up with your plot and follow through with it? i’ve been working on a new project but the actual “creating the storyline” bit is digging me an early grave lol.

also i wanted to ask - do you have any recommendations for other ninjago aus? (they dont have to be fics) im just looking for some interesting new stuff to hyperfixate over and thought you might know

Regarding the ask before this one, I'm super glad you have your AO3 account!! I hope you'll have lots of fun writing in the future ! :D You're definitely always going to be hard on yourself in the future, that's completely normal! But you'll be proud of yourself once you manage to get through it all and write that story down!

As for writing for my fics, I usually have an idea first that I write down then the scenes kinda happen in my head, and I always have something to write them down (phone or notebook) if I'm not on my computer right away. My plots come from those ideas that form in my head? Idk how to explain that but uh yeah and it's rarely followed through tbh, I often change things along the way

One thing I do is like okay, this will happen now, how might it affect in the future if it's something important? I really have no idea how to explain all that I'm so sorry I hope it still sorta helps

A storyline right away can be kinda complicated to handle, it's what I'm trying to do with "everybody loves somebody sometimes" which is why it's taking so long to be written. But if that's what you wanna do, go ahead! But don't overwork yourself

I have no idea for other ninjago aus omg I read too little yet the fandom does such wonderful job at creating stories and I unfortunately forget to read stuff. hah. (sorry everyone)

I just finished reading both chapters of rose (I was waiting till glass finished before starting it-) and omg bee I'm so excited for it!!! I'm already rotating rose!crimeboys in my head they're so interesting-

currently listening to the playlist for it and im about to combust at how interesting rose!sandduo is right now. their dynamic is so fun yet kinda odd at the same time?? (A good odd of course)

also i noticed you said crimeboys would be leaning towards their dsmp characters while Phil more towards his osmp character in the first chapter notes. what about the other characters who were in both servers? (like Niki, Jack, Ranboo etc.) Would they be dsmp or osmp? (Or does this even matter lol- im just interested because I've been wanting to do something like this in one of my fics but wasn't sure)

One more thing, do you have a more in-depth description for Wilbur's ferronnière and Quackity's coif? Or maybe reference pics? I have an idea of what the ferronnière may look like but i want to see how you might picture it

aaaa thank you I'm so glad you're enjoying it so far!! I'm so excited to dive more into both the rose!crimeboys and rose!sandduo dynamics I have so much fun stuff planned for them.

I'd say for the most part most of the characters that were on both osmp and dsmp are going to be 99% based off their dsmp characters. primarily the osmp characters I was most interested characterization-wise were phil and sneeg, and while i did have an interest in wilbur's osmp character as well it doesn't fit with what i'm going for with rose so wilbur is going to be pretty much dsmp!wilbur. so yeah pretty much just assume dsmp characterization unless it's really obvious it's not the dsmp character lol

I do have reference pics! neither are exact but they're as close as I can find. I'll put them under the cut

first off, Wilbur's ferronniere

while I've found plenty of examples of ferronniere's, I'd say this painting from the late georgian/early victorian era is the closest to what I imagine. in my head the pendant with the royal sigil on it is circular, not teardrop shaped like the gem on her forehead. but the general shape/drape of the chain and all that is the same as how I picture it on wilbur.

next, quackity's coif

this is kind of the closest example I could find for what I picture in terms of fit/shape, but it's still fairly different from what I have in my head. in the fic, quackity's coif doesn't have strings (or it might but if so they tie around the back of his head not under his chin), and the fabric is dark blue and embroidered with black thread. it's very hard to describe but I hope that gives you a fairly good idea?

I’m so normal about baby blue! (Baby blue is my Roman Empire, literally on my mind 24/7, the fic causes me to feel sadness, anger and depression on a regular basis. You will be hearing from my therapist..) I really like the writing, especially how you write emotions! ( I absolutely love your writing, it’s literally perfection and more, the way you write emotions brings me to tears. It’s that good) so yeah, I’m totally normal about the fic..!
