Why you should break up with your boyfriend (and get back with Mattheo)

When you and Mattheo broke up, it was civil, an agreement between you both that you were better off as friends, at least for the time being...

This all began when you started dating a French transfer student who was sorted into Hufflepuff—a choice that, in Mattheo's opinion, just wasn't right for you, for obvious reasons, of course.

1. You didn’t even know if you liked him

"Are you sure you like him?" Mattheo inquired, tilting his head while glancing over at the boy walking toward you. "Matty." you warn in a blank tone. He turned towards you, raising an eyebrow. "Don’t look at me like that. You do this every time I’m interested in someone." "Do what?" "Give me reasons not to, and I refuse to let you do it this time." The conversation ended abruptly as your new little transfer student made his way over, shooting a quick “hello” to Mattheo to be polite and asking to walk you to your next class. Mattheo just scoffed inwardly as the two of you walked away. He knows you, and he knew if you really liked frenchy, you wouldn’t care what he had to say.

2. The both of you had nothing in common

Yes, sometimes opposites do attract, but in Mattheo's opinion, the two of you just weren't an ideal match. You enjoyed small amounts of PDA, like hand-holding and quick pecks—simple gestures that brought you joy. However, your boyfriend despised any public displays of affection, creating a noticeable contrast between your preferences. While you excelled as a diligent student, you also relished in the thrill of partying, letting loose, and embracing moments of pure fun, a lifestyle that clashed with your boyfriend's more reserved nature.

"I don’t understand why you're so upset," you said, frustration evident in your voice. "I don’t understand you at all," your boyfriend replied, packing up his things and leaving your dorm room. All you did was ask to reschedule your weekly study date because you’d promised Pansy you’d go with her to Draco���s party. The two of you could study any other time. Expecting your boyfriend to be a little upset due to losing time spent with you, instead, he went on a tangent about how unserious you are about your academics and even mentioned he wasn’t sure how the two of you were even dating because of how “different” you were.

and Mattheo had to agree.

3. He was too jealous, for example

It was a generally nice day at Hogwarts. The school year was winding down, the weather was pleasant, and you were studying with your boyfriend in the courtyard, surrounded by books and snacks on a blanket. You glance up from your books upon hearing the familiar voices of your favorite Slytherin boys. Draco, Mattheo, Theo, and Blaise emerge from Quidditch practice, looking a bit worse for wear but in good spirits, teasing each other. Pansy follows behind them. Spotting you, they hurry over, eager to talk to you. Amidst laughter and half-finished stories, you learn that Mattheo narrowly avoided a bludger to the head in practice and fell off his broom while dodging it. "Matty, perhaps I could offer you a basic broom skills lesson. I've been assisting the first years, and I'd be happy to help you," you playfully tease.

He flips you off, but instead of responding to your teasing, he asks, "Where's your little boyfriend gone off to?" You scan the courtyard, puzzled by his absence. Unbeknownst to you, Mattheo had been observing closely. He noticed the immediate stiffening of your boyfriend's face when the group approached and the sneer he gave when you affectionately called him “Matty” in your normal, all too sweet tone. Eventually, Mattheo observed your boyfriend getting up and walking away, seemingly conceding to your friends.

4. He couldn’t compete with Mattheo

Everyone in your close circle recognized that Mattheo was the perfect match for you, and eventually, your boyfriend came to the same realization.

He observed the softness in your eyes when you looked at Mattheo, how you would relax upon hearing his voice, and the laughter-filled conversations that defined your interactions, with Mattheo always striving to keep you smiling. How you’d scold Draco for mockingly calling your boyfriend “frenchy” but when Mattheo did it, it would conveniently go unheard.

The final straw was witnessing how quickly you rushed to Mattheo's side after the two fought. As the Slytherin boy stood victorious over the fallen figure of your boyfriend, it was Mattheo's well-being that concerned you the most. While your boyfriend lay beaten on the ground, Mattheo's bruised knuckles seemed of little consequence, yet it was his welfare that captured your utmost attention.

Kneeling beside Mattheo, you overlooked the Slytherin boy's smirk, attentively inspecting his bruised knuckles with worry as he reassured you of his well-being, telling everyone involved where your loyalty resided—always with Mattheo.

Though unspoken it was unmistakably clear who your heart had long belonged to from the very beginning.

Team 5Ds car driving skill (idk pretend they’re on a road trip or smth so I can talk about non duel runners)

Yusei: 4/10. Surprisingly bad considering how good a duel runner driver he is. The problem is he gets in a vehicle of any sort and immediately wants to go as fast as possible in it, which, in a car, is Terrifying for his passengers. A stickler for safety and seatbelts. He can go the speed limit, he just has to be very conscious of it as he drives. Also his fingers just itch to take it apart and put it back together and Jack and Crow have to physically take him away from his car when he’s alone in the garage.

Jack: 3/10. Awful road rage, the literal worst. Would get out of the car in standstill traffic to scream at others if not held back by Carly and the boys. Like Yusei, immediately gets in and wants to speed but is usually better about not doing it. Hates people eating or drinking in the car bc it’s his baby and he doesn’t want spills. Wants to drive but is the passenger princess if they won’t let him.

Crow: 6/10. Hear me out he’s probably used to driving kids around on his runner and knows how to drive at speeds people other than turbo duelists are comfortable with. Once he hits a back road or open space with few to no other drivers though it’s speeding time. Probably more lax about eating and drinking too. Has spare jackets and a case of waters in the trunk.

Akiza: 5/10. When she’s by herself, a wonderful driver, follows the rules and weaves through traffic beautifully and safety. Checks her mirrors before starting every time and has a special driving playlist, plus always has gum in the glovebox. When with others, gets so in her head about them judging her driving that she doesn’t pay attention to street signs, stoplights, or other cars. It’s agreed that she’ll drive places so she doesn’t need a ride but won’t give rides unless it’s an emergency.

Carly: 9/10. A seasoned driver we see her doing it a lot and she’s used to having other people in the car and driving one as her main form of transport. Is the one that teaches them about insurance and registration. Also had to teach them to drive and demands reparations.

Leo: cannot drive yet but that doesn’t stop him from sitting in the driver’s seat, full of hope, when they have to go somewhere. Has to be picked up by the scruff of his neck like a cat by Jack and tossed to the back with threats of putting him in the trunk.

Luna: cannot drive yet, doesn’t want to, but still relegated to the back seat so she’s mentally counting down the years until Leo to get his license so she can be his passenger princess.

Bonus! Bruno: 9/10. Can drive really well and picked it up really quickly but just never wants to do it. Goes up to a car and immediately gets in the back unless someone wants him to drive. The 5Ds equivalent of the kid who played Nintendo DS games in the backseat of their parents’ cars in the 2000s/early 2010s

Harry Potter Headcannons

1. I think Harry is short, (or shorter than most people think,) I know most people think he’s tall because James is tall but Harry grew up with the Dursleys, in the first book it’s said that he was always small and skinny for his age he has the build of a seeker, which is small. Although I do believe he gets stronger and more muscular in the later books I think that due to the neglect and abuse at the dursleys hands he would still be small.

2. He’s a fast runner and climber, I believe this because of the mention of ‘Harry hunting’ in the first book, I haven’t read it in a while but I believe it says that he often ended up in trees, while some of this can be attributed to magic like how he got on the roof of his school, I think he learned how to climb to get away. He can outrun everyone in his year and has freaked people out when they see how fast he can climb trees and walls.

3. He sleeps like he’s still in the cupboard, this one is a little more sad but I think he still sleeps curled in a ball, he spent 10 years in the cupboard and I think he never really grew out of that.

4. Another thing about the cupboard is I think he find comfort in small dark places, (reminiscent of a cat,) the cupboard was always a safe place that only petunia could reach properly therefore he couldn’t get hurt.

5. I also think that once he got Hogwarts he found cupboards, closets, and other small places to hide in that he could go to to calm down. While looking for these places he found more secret passages.

6. He takes walks around the castle at night under the invisibility cloak, he enjoys the freedom that he never got in the muggle world.

7. Relating back to number 4, I think his animagus form would a cat, no real reason other then I think it fits him, although I have read fics where he is a fox and I think that’s a good one too.

8. He’s touch starved and love getting platonic cuddle time with his friends, I think the golden trio is very affectionate towards each other so they are often found in a pile in the common room. I also think Harry and Luna are affectionate to each other, they know each other in a way that’s different than their other friends and I think that’s cute.

9. Harry and Luna feed the Thestrals together and I think sometimes Theo (Nott) joins them.

I have a dilema with two opposing headcannons that include Theia, Proto-Earth, Earth and Luna. I want to write some fanfic's but just can't decide which one to go with.

Headcannon 1: The first one is where Theia and Proto-Earth fatally collide resulting in Proto-Earth (Hadian) and Theia becoming Earth and Luna respectively. Proto-Earth would loose his memory of Theia and his short couple million years of existence before the Collision, and come to see Luna as his child. Luna would have no recognition as well of anything else before and just assume they were always a moon.

Headcannon 2: Opposing to that headcannon is the idea that both Proto-Earth and Theia were both completely destroyed by the Collision event together and current Earth and Luna are both of their children. This one would make a bit more sense as the cores of both proto-planets fused to create the current Earth's core, and in the aftermath of the Collision both proto-planet's matter would have combined to create the Moon.

This would give more cadence to Earth and Luna's brotherly bond as they are literally brothers created from the same circumstances (Earth would have woken up well before Luna did to be the elder brother).

I have seen many different takes from several different artists, writers, and animatics on the origin of current Earth and Luna. Every single one is so interesting to see as we all have different ideas on how these characters would interact and how their relationships would work but I just don't know if Luna should be a brother to Earth or a child to both Theia and amnesiac Earth (Hadian).

part one??

-can fall asleep anywhere. literally. people have found him sleeping in the weirdest places around the castle 24/7 and the first years are always confused but everyone else is like "yeah no just leave him be, he's got a lot of shit going on."

-when sirius told him that harry could live with him if he wanted to, harry was so exited and nervous and like overwhelmed that on the way back to the castle he puked in a bush (he makes ron and hermione swear to never mention it to anyone ever)

-his memory is actually so shit, and he has no clue as to why it is. you tell him anything and he will immediately ask you "wait say that again"

-when remus was his professor, he would wait after class and risk being late because he knew remus would give him one of those bite sized chocolates he always has in his pockets.

-somtime he explores the castle at night when he gets nervous about the O.W.L.S, and it calms him down

-he once had to send hedwig out to get him quills because he always looses them and he apologized so many times to her because of how she was going to have to,, "carry her family's plucked out feathers" back to him.

-he can walk in heels effortlessly and he has no clue how

-his favorite color is actually purple but he tells everyone it's red

-he hates socks. despises them. will actually refuse to wear them in his shoes no matter how hard hermione begs him to.

-he still has the sweater molly made for him in his first year because that was the first christmas present he had ever gotten

-is secretly is a cat person but can't find it in himself to tell sirius

-he hates holidays, and despises halloween the most. he doesn't tell remus and sirius though because he knows that was the last week of their lives that everything was ok for them and everyone was alive and happy, and he'd feel horrible ruining that for them.

-goes on "dates" with luna in muggle restaurants just to "propose" to her so they can get free cake. they have hit at least 23 places with this method and it hasn't once failed.

-didn't know how to read very well until hermione taught him in 2nd year

-ron and him are literally the most homoromantic best friends out there and half the school is convinced their dating

-has shaky hands and can't tie his shoes that well

-is quite literally the casanova of griffindor tower and remus finds this hilarious

-grows his hair out to his shoulders and eventually cuts it all off when he's 18.

-he asks hermione how to shave because he has to much pride to ask remus or sirus

-sirius ties his tie for him because no matter how hard he trys he just can't get it right. sirius thinks of his brother every time he does this for him, and when harry grew his hair out and it looked almost identical to regulus's, he cryed.

-harry has such a horrible sleeping schedule that somtimes he just passes out and literally had no control over it. like one moment he's awake and the next hes on the floor snoring.

-stayed up with ron for like 4 hours in his first year one night making a cool looking signature for himself because so many ppl were asking for it

-buys ron anything he wants off the trolly and refuses to let him feel bad for it because it's "only twice a year ron" and "let me spoil my best mate alright?"

-thought had a crush on hermione in first year because he had those "butterflies" that everyone always talks about, but it turned out that he was just going to be sick.

-has the immune system of the average toddler. bro breaths and hes like dead on the common room couch for 3 days under mrs. weasleys hand made quilt, being hand fed soup

-has said "fuck it, we ball" on one to many occasions.

-knows a surprising amount of french because of a french-english/english-french dictionary he found in the closet he use to sleep in.

-is the kind of person to say "whoopsies" when he does literally anything

-anytime he drops somthing he says "that wasn't me"

-has no concept of time. what's the day? he has no clue. time? month? what even are those. he just guesses when he writes the date on his papers.

-prefers the blue gatorade to the red one

-he hates carbonated drinks. literally cant stand them.

I definitely love harry and luna's relationship, I am more inclined to headcannon them as having a great bond w each other though I see a lot of potential in them being romantically involved as well!!

So here are a few headcannons I have of their friendship:

1. I think they're both so into conspiracy theories 😭 like it feels like they would love to come up with increasingly ridiculous and far fetched theories. it's kind of like a competition between them that nobody knows about. so it gets chaotic ash.

2. luna would make flower crowns for her friends, well atleast some kinda crown or bracelet, and harry would adore the hell out of anything she makes and gifts him. like that boy would cherish it

3. whenever they spend time w each other, harry feels so peaceful and relaxed, they both love eachother's company as they don't feel very judged by the other (that's the defining aspect of their relationship)

4. I hc that luna introduces harry to painting, and he's not perfect at it but he finds the activity so soothing

5. harry would send over her favourite puddings/desserts randomly, whenever he makes them or buys it from a place he knows she likes and she would be absolutely delighted

Soft gentle life between dark signers and Grand Prix headcannons of the garage apartment boys who absolutely do not know how to live a soft, normal life. (Inspired by that one filler episode of jack trying to a get a job)

- Yusei does most of the cooking because while the other two can scrape together a meal they either put together the bare minimum for nutrition (chicken and rice with a veggie smoothie style) or go absolutely ham with sweets and expensive products and he cannot live with that. Plus he enjoys cooking because once you figure out the basics you can get creative and trial and error and It’s kind of like working on his bike.

- They really lean into the bachelor pad lifestyle thing. The most expensive things in the apartment are their duel runners and their video game console for the tv. They have a shabby beat up couch but sit on the floor half the time anyways. Jack insists on having one spot he likes on the couch be “his” spot and Crow and sometimes Yusei will run, like literally haul ass, to the couch to sit in that spot and piss him off.

- They have had physical altercations over this spot.

- They don’t bother with bed frames and just toss mattresses on the floor of their one bedroom. They tend to have their fair share of nightmares, especially Yusei dreaming about his duels with Kalin, but when one of them wakes up in a cold sweat one of the other two will undoubtedly be up out of bed making them their favorite tea (akiza put them onto tea it’s doing wonders but only jack will admit to liking it). Sometimes yusei’s nightmares will get so bad that jack and crow wil say fuck it, move their mattresses to his, and use the warmth of their bodies and the weight of their arms around his to get him to feel secure enough that he’ll finally rest, physically knowing that his friends are ok and alive and literally on him. When they wake up no one mentions that they’ve been three way spooning the whole night basically.

- Jack is such a coffee snob and will treat the boys to the best beans and a nice espresso machine which crow thinks is the hugest waste of money ever but uses more than he does (because he is perpetually tired from work)

- It takes a second for Jack and Crow to get used to Leo, Luna, and Akiza just coming over to talk to Yusei or hang out. Leo immediately closes the gap by gushing to Jack, well, about himself, and Jack’s soon regaling him with tales of his best duels and Crow’s competing by telling him about his run ins with sector security (only the PG stuff) and teaching him to build things. Jack eventually forms a connection with Luna and Akiza because he gets what it’s like to be more reserved but still be dramatic and have a rich life and eventually they’re talking about dueling or books (for some reason I headcannon jack as the biggest reader of the three but also that Luna loves to read) or things to do in new domino.

- They also have chill table top duels with Leo, Luna, and Akiza and Jack and Crow are surprised when Luna and Akiza give them a run for their money. (Sorry Leo but Luna’s the dueling prodigy).

- The three boys will have their own three way duel game nights. These inevitably end in them physically tussling around the living room.

- Yusei and Crow have to make a chore chart bc Jack never wants to do household chores (living with Goodwin’s funding made him mad spoiled) Jack will do the chores when put up to it but by god will he complain and trash talk then the whole time.

- They don’t talk about Kalin a lot. Or about those years when he was locked up and the three were living separately. It’s still obviously in the air, noticeable when Crow and Yusei go visit different groups of people in the Satellite and Jack stays with Martha basically the whole time. The days they go to visit though, they finish off with a meal at Martha’s so filling their stomachs hurt and a ride back to new domino city that’s slower than they usually ride, like they’re savoring the existence of the bridge and prolonging their time on it for as long as possible.
