Wrong Dimension

In his attempts to return to his preferred dimension, Magolor stumbles upon a world not so dissimilar from the one he was stuck in. Meeting a man who is cramping on his style.

I loved doing this piece for the colours. It is very purple and acidic green, and it fits Lorule. Since this land has been healing, the grass is not yellow anymore but is still very bright and dusk-like. The background came out really nice.

For anyone who does not know who Ravio is: he and Magolor are pretty similar down to their in-game roles and swarmy business manners. Though Ravio has far more good intentions, he is just sneaky about how he solves his problems. (And a bit of a coward, though he found his own brand of courage in ALBW)

I imagine if Magolor and Ravio met on neutral terms, they would get along like a house on fire. Although once Ravio catches a whiff of Magolor's more shady side, he will probably nope out of there as soon as possible. An interaction between these two before Magolor has been reformed (or as reformed as he is now current day) would certainly be interesting to see.

Choosing Shopkeeper Magolor for this piece was not smart of me with the abundant nature of this piece. But since Magolor has not had a chance to get his old duds back, it would not make sense if he were in his regular blue garb. I also like Shopkeeper Magolor, even if Kirby Clash has made me want to drop-kick him so many times. Idk, I just really like the green, cream and brown of his colour palette.

What's your thoughts on Hilda? I find Lorule fascinating, and I'm a little disappointed people don't speak much of it or it's inhabitants.

I've heard you speak of Yuga briefly, and I've heard he was likely a "reversed" version of you much like Hilda and Zelda's dynamic. It makes me wonder what the Gerudo of that world are like... Sucks that Yuga was so obnoxious though, but I guess its to be expected if hes the opposite of you. A proper team up between the two of you would've been interesting, if only he hadn't burned that bridge

People do not speak of it because few know of its existence. Fewer still care for its potential. I am one of them. There is little the land of Lorule has to offer, so I let them be, until they forced my hand.

Yuga was indeed my opposite. Their princess was a fool, their champion was a coward, and their opposition was weak.

There is nothing to be gained by seeking his abilities, for he could not even claim his own realm without using my power.

When will the Ravio hyper-fixation end??? I was musing about what Ravio might have worn prior to the events of ALBW, and ended up making this. It’s pretty different from my usual art styles but it was still really fun to try something new! (even if the file crashed while I was in the middle of drawing 🫠) As a little extra, I offer a silly bonus doodle under the cut featuring Lorule’s most artistic villain:

Even after the link between their worlds has been more or less severed, Hilda and Zelda can peer into each other's worlds using the Triforce from where it resides in their respective Sacred Realms. They are often reassured to see the state of the other's kingdom, healing slowly but surely (even if Lorule has a much longer way to go...) Oftentimes, they reflect on the other and wonder just where their similarities end - if at all. After all, Zelda saw her dedication to her kingdom within Hilda... and Hilda saw the leader she strived to be in Zelda.
