"#anti fakeclaiming" but then also fakeclaiming any and all endo systems? hmmmm okay
-a traumagenic system that supports my endo friends
bro aint no WAY u tryna get cool points from endos of all people STAND UHPPPP.
also ive never said i think all endos are faking and i’ve never told an endo that they’re faking and dont have DID/OSDD. i believe that while some may not have it, there are some thay do actually have DID/OSDD but just can’t remember their truma, resulting in them thinking they don’t have trauma. i just don’t like the endo label as an umbrella term/whole because it mocks DID/OSDD and makes people believe you genuinely do not need trauma to develop a dissociative disorder 😭. logout nga

kpop discourse is so funny, watching people fight for their lives to prove their faves are “real” successes as if pop music on the whole (not just kpop but like… most everywhere) isn’t manipulated in some form
like it’s okay to just like the music or members or whatever like… you don’t have to prove they’re the best of all time and earned it fair and square
maybe they did maybe they didn’t does that change the way the music sounds
#like if we’re talking about like prejudice in the system working against them#that’s a valid point to make#but arguing if tiktok vitality is real success or not#like… you’re in too deep#log out#*virality

“LOG OUT” by 4s4ki
DV:
With the so-called metaverse falling like a rain of dead fish, and Twitter gradually imploding as its worst elements are amplified and encouraged, I initially took “LOG OUT” to be a manifesto about abandoning technology - “touch grass” as a hyperpop anthem. And it’s true that the Luddite revolution needs one of those, but it’s gonna have to wait a little longer. “LOG OUT” is actually an example of the conflict I feel as - in the case of Twitter - a place where I’ve learned so much and made so many friends becomes increasingly hostile to my mental health and existence. 4s4ki bellows at us - at herself - to log out, then immediately proclaims that she only wants to be in the virtual world. There’s no easy escape for any of us, even if we wanted it. And for some of us it’s hard to know if we should log off: the connections and information that even these deeply compromised platforms enable may simply not exist anywhere else. The world - and our heads - were quieter twenty years ago. But could anyone argue that they were actually better? 4s4ki wants to throw away hard lives, throw away the world. The question is, what comes next?
MG:
It’s not quite as straightforward as on vs. offline, talking with Pitchfork, 4s4ki says, “Honestly, I’m still not sure which is exactly my ‘reality,’” and I think “reality” is a subtle but meaningful distinction here. Theoretically, your reality should encompass your lived experience, whether that lived experience is as a Neuromancer-style brain in a jar, jacked into the ethernet, or that lived experience is as Unabomber-style analog purist, unplugged and re-wilded, or, as is the case for the vast majority of us, some mix of the two. We do not switch reality off when we tap our phones on, reality is a state of healthy consciousness. However, “LOG OUT” and its central conflict of needing to disconnect but feeling unwilling to -- that’s not reality, that’s not a state of healthy consciousness. “LOG OUT” is a brutal blast of music and I feel like we get a good sense of 4s4ki’s tortured ambivalence. When reality becomes deeply fractured, openly hostile, and swarming with microplastics -- who wouldn’t want to log out? But I don’t think 4s4ki wants to throw away the hard world, I don’t think any of us do. The choice isn’t between going back in time or jacking in, we have better options, better ways of caring for ourselves. Let “LOG OUT” be an example of how dire it felt, but don’t let panic harden your veins.
