Feeling very much sad atm so I'm chatting about something pretty interesting to me.

Specifically, the way my gender (Gendervoid) and main kintype (Dark Starfolk/ Aven) links to each other. (Spoilers for my source)

Basically, I don't really feel any sort of gender, it feels less like neither male or female but more "I literally do not have any sort of connection to the concept of gender." This fits my source's version of starfolks, because we did not have any sort of "gender" whatsoever. Even if we do show similarities to certain human traits associations with a certain gender, it is superficial at most, as we don't have concepts pertaining to that.

Imstead, we differentiate based on polarity. First off, there are two "basic" polarities: Light and Dark. There's another type of starfolk known as Transcended or Dual-type, which are a blend of Light and Dark.

So I consider myself to be a Dark Starfolk! But then, the entire ordeal with Edda kind of made me a sort of Transcended starfolk too? Like I'm bordering the line between Dark starfolk and Dual-type. But I mostly consider myself a Dark starfolk.

Which is funny, because dark starfolks (ESPECIALLY dark hunters) tend to be (physically) similar to the human concept of being masculine. Of course, there could have been androgynous or even feminine-presenting dark starfolks, but most of the ones I've seen tend to be masculine.

So if I do decide to transition in any way, I would just to minor things like get a haircut and maybe wear a binder. Because I am find with how I look funnily enough. Gender is no real interest to me.

So yeah, I don't have a gender per say, but I do associate myself with Dark starfolks, and thus more masc-presenting things.

Basically: I am gendervoid in a dark starfolk way. Looks somewhat masculine but ultimately does not associate with the concept of gender in any form nor fashion.

alright so i just found your blog (legit five seconds ago) and i had a question i hope you can help with

so my gender is a little confusing at times. i've been going by demiboy for multiple months now, with only he/him pronouns since i wasn't a big fan of they/them for me (not specific feeling enough)

but recently, i've been thinking about it, and i got some feedback from a user on tumblr. and now im not sure if my label is specific enough

basically, my gender is smth like 85-90% masculine/boy (not man. for me there's a difference) and 10-15% gendervoid/completely no gender whatsoever. but on a few days (it usually depends on what outfit im wearing, but it can also just be off of how i feel) it's like that flips. randomly i start to feel 90-95% gendervoid/absolutely no gender, and only 5-10% boy. honestly it's a little confusing

but someone said that reminds them of demiboyflux. now im not too sure, but i wanted to get a second opinion, as it's my first time ever considering this, and yet it almost feels like it makes perfect sense.

First of all, there's no such thing as "specific enough" when it comes to your personal labels /nm. If you're comfortable using just demiboy, even if the way your gender works doesn't TECHNICALLY adhere to the definition of the label, then that's perfectly fine. Hell, I haven't identified as a woman in years and I still identify as a lesbian to an extent (I often say I'm like if a bear and a butch lesbian had a beautiful genderqueer mspec platonic-lovechild). Labels are just used to define common experiences and if you relate to those experiences enough to want to use the label, then go for it! Only your opinion matters when it comes to your identity :)

HOWEVER, with that being said, if you feel like a different or more specific label would be more comfortable for you, then by all means try it out! It's perfectly okay to play around with things and you don't have to get the perfect label on the first try (or ever, even!), I'm not here to gatekeep the use of boyflux/demiboyflux. Your experience of your gender does sound similar to what people would call demiboyflux, so try out the label and see if it makes you comfortable. I went through a lot of identities before I figured out that boyflux suits me best. Don't worry about what other people think, just focus on what makes you happy :)

GenderBlackHole

This is a gender identity derivative from GenderVoid and Agender. The place of the Gender you feel that it is a void, there's nothing in your gender place, you can't feel gender, but you can explain it as a Black Hole.

To make you understand this Genderlessness, let's use the anatomy of a Black Hole

The black hole is separated into 4 parts but can sometimes have 5 parts

The Accretion Disk - This is full of matter in the form of gas and dust. It's like a big gas cloud. As it moves, it releases ultraviolet rays, infrared rays and x-rays, which are other types of light that we cannot see.

And because of the x-rays that we detected the first black hole. When we look at a black hole with equipment that detects x-rays, we can see beyond the light, we see temperature.

The Ergosphere - Which is where the matter that is about to disappear into the hole keeps always spinning in the same direction, just like water around a drain.

The Event Horizon - There is the border where what we can observe and what we cannot. Any matter in the ergosphere that goes beyond the event horizon can no longer escape gravity, this will be swallowed into the black hole where it will never be seen again.

The Singularity - It's like a dark star. And that's what causes that massive gravitational field of a Black Hole. That has so much mass in such a small space that the density of this is mathematically infinite.

X-Ray Pulses/Relativistic Jet - Some black holes have x-ray pulses, which are emitted by gas that appears to be escaping from them, but it just seems like an impression. Scientists believe that these pulses comes from accretion disk material who managed to gather speed to escape gravity before getting too close to the black hole

And what does this have to do with this genderlessness?

Simply put: this genderlessness has a structure similar to that of a black hole.

Black Holes are the things that are most related to the Void itself, since there's nothing known inside them beside their singularity (which is the why its a Black point)

This genderlessness can feel connected with existing genders that could be them, but they cannot explain the void nor fill the void. It can be the gases being the genders/fragments of the genders that the genderlessness feel connected or just liked that where attracted them because liked them and use them as a label.

But while at the center (the singularity) is a void, a hole. This genderlessness is not demi, but the person wants to use the labels and feel connected to them, but their gender is a void.

While the Relativist Jet is their gender presentation. Be they presenting themself as a man or a woman or just in a non-binary way.

Hi, so I'm aroace and I saw a post describing a study someone did about how many people on the ace spectrum didn't have strong connections to their gender identity. I like having labels to things and I know you won't say definitively if someone is something but I'd like some input.

So my brother came out as trans like a year ago now (ftm) and I've realised that I've never seen him with gender. I don't even see him as my brother or sister, just my sibling. If he wants to go by brother, he will be brother. If he wants to go by he, he will. If he wanted to go by Mr Bubbles, I would laugh at him but call him that. But I've genuinely never actually seen him or literally anyone around me with gender. I joke around with my friends using gendered terms like lads or bois when they're both girls, it doesn't really mean anything to me.

Is this something like agender? I don't really understand all the feelings around gender identity and I'm just more confused than anything. Sorry if this was long, I was kinda using my brother as an example to the thoughts I have.

It's super common for aspec people to feel disconnected from gender altogether, although what you're describing isn't unique to aroaces or anything obviously, for example, some neurodivergent people feel similarly disconnected from the way society views gender. What you're describing certainly sounds being agender to me, but if you're interested you could look at labels such as 'genderless', 'gendervoid', and 'neutrois' too.
