Galacta Knight headcanons

At this point every single new information we get about Star Crossed World leads back to him, so he'll probably show up (if he does'nt I will riot). If he does those headcanons will probably age like milk, but I don't care.

I subscribe to the theory that Galacta Knight is posessed/influenced by Void Termina/the jamba heart to some capacity. Iwas skeptical in the past, but seing this post convinced me.

This creature has been rotating in my brain, I need to let all those headcanons out.

His personality is unknown to us right now. If you believe the jamba heart corruption theory, there's even more room for interpretation. He could be violent, he could be a goofy goober, he could be very sweet. Personally I really like to think of him as actually kind and caring. The idea that this super powerful warrior who was sealed away for being too dangerous being very calm and good of heart makes me feel things. The fact that in super kirby clash he's the only boss who is not said to be furious goig down his second phase kinda supports it.

During his imprisonement, he is partially counscious. When he is awoken, he has to fight for control over his mind.

Despite being compassionate and thoughtful, fighting is one of his passions (sorta like Meta Knight, but he does'nt bother to hide it behind a mysterious attitude). Whenever he is summoned to battle someone, the sparring is the only thing that keeps him from completely falling to Void Termina's influence, since the positive emotions he feels helps counter it.

He's definitly some flavour of nonbinary to me. Probably agender or neutrois, maybe even gendervoid. There should be a gender identity for being completely clueless about gender ngl.

If he ever gets freed from his crystal, he would probably have trouble adapting to the current world. He comes from an ancient past, after all. Everything he once knew probably withered away ; the ancients, his family and friends, the world as he knows it. That would be rough for anyone, but it'd be worse for someone who was sealed away and strugling against a dark influence for so long. Either way, it would probably take a long time for him to be okay after all this.

Galacta Knight and the other heroes of yore were actually pretty close. I don't know what to headcanon on the topic of what they became, but they probably not here anymore. He probably misses them dearly, wishing they would be at his side.

He does'nt really speak the same language as what is currently spoken on Popstar, nor can he read it. Perhaps he knows some of it, in some way or another, enough for him to understand a bit what he hears.

He likes pretty artsy things, like poetry, painting, and even singing. Physical exercise is also one of his favorite passtimes.

Speaking of things he likes, he gives me the vibes of somebody who enjoys flower flavoured products.

He takes baths like irl birds do. If you don't know what I mean just search it up, it's pretty goofy.

Feeling very much sad atm so I'm chatting about something pretty interesting to me.

Specifically, the way my gender (Gendervoid) and main kintype (Dark Starfolk/ Aven) links to each other. (Spoilers for my source)

Basically, I don't really feel any sort of gender, it feels less like neither male or female but more "I literally do not have any sort of connection to the concept of gender." This fits my source's version of starfolks, because we did not have any sort of "gender" whatsoever. Even if we do show similarities to certain human traits associated with a certain gender, it is superficial at most, as we don't have concepts pertaining to that.

Imstead, we differentiate based on polarity. First off, there are two "basic" polarities: Light and Dark. There's another type of starfolk known as Transcended or Dual-type, which are a blend of Light and Dark.

So I consider myself to be a Dark Starfolk! But then, the entire ordeal with Edda kind of made me a sort of Transcended starfolk too? Like I'm bordering the line between Dark starfolk and Dual-type. But I mostly consider myself a Dark starfolk.

Which is funny, because dark starfolks (ESPECIALLY dark hunters) tend to be (physically) similar to the human concept of being masculine. Of course, there could have been androgynous or even feminine-presenting dark starfolks, but most of the ones I've seen tend to be masculine.

So if I do decide to transition in any way, I would just do minor things like get a haircut and maybe wear a binder. Because I am find with how I look funnily enough. Gender is no real interest to me.

So yeah, I don't have a gender per say, but I do associate myself with Dark starfolks, and thus more masc-presenting things.

Basically: I am gendervoid in a dark starfolk way. Looks somewhat masculine but ultimately does not associate with the concept of gender in any form nor fashion.

i may be sticking my foot in it but i have mixed opinions about further messing with the genders/pronouns/etc of already queer characters

like, from a personal standpoint, i’m very…gender is nothing to me. aroace, agender, gendervoid, whatever. my first impulse is towards a lack rather than a distinct presence; i’m more likely to headcanon a “cis” character as agender (and often aroace) rather than binary trans, and not have strong feelings about more, uh, genderful headcanons other than in a thumbs-up, “happy to see it but wouldn’t have reached that conclusion on my own” kinda way. it’s just kind of a personal general apathy at a base level, on account of not entirely comprehending what having a pull or desire towards a gendered sense of self is like.

on the other hand, i do find it really cool to see people play with gender in ways other than my “join me in the void” approach; i’m happy to see people enthusiastic about trans headcanons that don’t match the character’s “canon” gender/pronouns, connecting elements of their characterization to their own experiences with gender and sexuality, or generally treating the scope of canon as a stage in a character’s life and not the end-all, be-all of their personal introspection and development. you might Know you are one thing your entire life, you might make the discovery once and be done with it, but you might also change labels, pronouns, understandings of yourself as an ongoing process that may or may not ever have a concrete endpoint.

but like….with already canonically queer characters. where do you draw the line between “playing with gender in the spirit of the original and in conversation with the themes and core of the character” and “just straight up overwriting and denying an already marginalized/underrepresented identity”? is it having fun with the character, or is it treating what they are as “not good enough”?

i feel like it’s a “your mileage may vary” case-by-case kind of thing. a concept that could feel enlightened and freeing and relatable to one person’s unique gender experience might feel invasive, limiting, like getting slammed back into a box by another; maybe it’s the concept itself, maybe it’s all down to the approach and intent.

it’s hard for me to make definitive generalizations of “well, doing this is ALWAYS bad and incorrect” even while firmly believing there are many cases of Yeah, That’s Just Completely Bad and Incorrect, because i also firmly believe that gender and sexuality aren’t always stagnant immutable traits, and fiction (and fandom in particular) is a space for the exploration of possibilities rather than exclusively adhering to “fact.”

it’s just always a question of “is this “possibility” actually progressive, thoughtful, and interesting in its engagement with the source material, or is it circling back around to being less progressive, thoughtful, and interesting than what was already there?” and i don’t think there’s one blanket answer for every situation.

I've always known i'm not a girl, but also not a boy, i'd say ever since i was in preschool. I remember filling a form when i entered elementary and paused at the gender option "male" and "female".

At the time, i had the urge to check "male" but i knew everyone would expect me to check "female" so i did.

And it happens every time i need to fill some type of form and such (still do).

I grew up tomboyish, in a conservative community, so obviously i didn't know the terms nonbinary or aro ace. I just knew about gay and lesbian at the time.

As a child, I often get misgendered as a boy. More often get the compliment that i'm handsome like my dad, than getting the compliment "beautiful".

Got me questioning really. If i don't feel like a girl, then the logical answer would be that i'm a boy right? (At the time, child me still learning)

But it didn't seem right to me..

Yet, i dressed up more masc anyway, cut my hair shorts, hung with the boys and all— but.. saying i'm a biy, still didn't feel right..

I didn't feel like a girl, so that means i'm a boy. That was my only logic at the time.

But people are telling me i'm born as a girl, so i'm a girl— but then they'd say, it'd make more sense if i'm a boy.. from the way I act and dress.

And both don't feel right to me.

Since i was very young, i also never felt an attraction towards anyone.

Never even had a celebrity crush. Except very recently uh.. Gordon Ramsay ajdhshfdgjsjdh

At the time, i was confused on how my classmates always have crushes or date around— i just don't see the appeal? And since i'm afab, it was expected to me to be attracted to boys. But like— I don't.

I didn't know the term asexual/aromantic at the time. I thought to myself that "if I'm not attracted to boys.. then i'm attracted to girls, right? I could admit they are pretty, while boys are.. :/ meh"

I thought i was a transmasc lesbian or a transman.

But since i've always been in the closet, i never showed it.

I started getting to know about LGBTQIA+ community in middle school.

Because, you know, fandoms, and shipping.

Learned the term bisexual. Then thought to myself that, "yeah i do find girls attractive, but when it comes to dating and all.. i feel the same towards girls and boys, so perhaps i'm bi"

Years passed. Learned about the term, Pansexual, and felt like it suits me more. Because, for me, i feel the same about everyone when it comes to dating.

Then i learned about non-binary, and like— finally. Something that makes more sense to me instead of the two genders.

But at the same time, it didn't feel right enough.

After a while, i found out about Asexual.. from a rep in some fandom i was obsessed with at the time. And again, finally, something that makes more sense to me.

I Googled more about it, liking how many labels it has in the spectrum. And settled with greyromantic demisexual.

Now as for the gender.. i chose to not use any label coz nothing seems right enough.

Thought i'm genderfluid, before i found out about gendervoid from Tumblr. This happened very recently.

Read about it, and again, hell yeah finally, i found what i am truly. This is me fr—

But i did still think i'm genderfluid, or more specifically girlvoid. Until i thought to myself and conversed with some friends about it.. read more about gendervoid— then.. yeah, that label fits me more compared to girlvoid.

I think it was because i thought being a total void, or non-binary, mean i have to be.. totally androgynous you know? Coz i'm not.. imo, but then i learned it doesn't matter, i'm nb either way.

Though, labels or not, you're still valid. I just like learning about lots of things especially about myself— something I've only started doing recently, like.. you know.. what is my favorite music, I can't even answer that question yet.

So whether you're still figuring out yourself, choose to not use any labels, or also have figured out labels that suit you.
