wanna talk abt like keefes anger and the way he handles it
bc like there are very few instances in the series that keefe is like outwardly angry outside of his own pov. being raised in an emotionally abusive family can fuck you up real bad in the way you handle your emotions, thats without even putting into account the fact that hes an empath. like, that environment where you're constantly forced to push down any negative emotion because you know itll just make things worse for you, it can cause you to let it out in unhealthy ways, often times towards yourself.
i feel like he has so much anger and rage inside of him that he is forced to keep inside and he would rather ruin himself a hundred times over than let it out on someone he loves, and i have no doubt hes terrified of it. hes terrified of himself, of the thoughts and feelings that he has. and im trying really hard to like keep it in cannon and remember whats actually real but i know he has said that he, and i quote "has a major dark side" and that violence and blood doesnt really affect him the way that it does other elvesthe way its supposed to. some people just, are like that, they have dark, bad, violent thoughts, especially mentally ill ppl or victims of abuse. and on keefes side, his dad is a shitty abuser and his mom has killed enough people to be considered a serial killer, i dont think it would be a surprise if he himself had violent thoughts like those, thoughts and feelings that he doesnt act on but theyre still there.
idk what the point of the post is i just have thoughts that i worry are too obvious but then when i say them here ppl like them so ✨anggggsstt✨

Adam and Eve Sent Out from the Garden
1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which Yahweh God had made. And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has God said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?” 2 And the woman said to the serpent, “From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; 3 but from the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God said, ‘You shall not eat from it, and you shall not touch it, lest you die.’” 4 And the serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die! 5 For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 Then the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, so she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. 7 And the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin coverings.
8 Then they heard the sound of Yahweh God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Yahweh God in the midst of the trees of the garden. 9 Yahweh God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 And he said, “I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.” 11 And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” 12 And the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave to me from the tree, and I ate.” 13 Then Yahweh God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” 14 And Yahweh God said to the serpent,
“Because you have done this,
Cursed are you more than any of the cattle,
And more than every beast of the field;
On your belly you will go,
And dust you will eat
All the days of your life;
15 And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her seed;
He shall bruise you on the head,
And you shall bruise him on the heel.”
16 To the woman He said,
“I will greatly multiply
Your pain and conception,
In pain you will bear children;
Your desire will be for your husband,
And he will rule over you.”
17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’;
Cursed is the ground because of you;
In pain you will eat of it
All the days of your life.
18 Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you;
And you will eat the plants of the field;
19 By the sweat of your face
You will eat bread,
Till you return to the ground,
Because from it you were taken;
For you are dust,
And to dust you shall return.”
20 Now the man called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all the living. 21 Then Yahweh God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and He clothed them.
22 Then Yahweh God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us to know good and evil; and now, lest he send forth his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat and live forever”— 23 therefore Yahweh God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken. 24 So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard the way to the tree of life.

Random musings
Uuuuhh, tw for suicidal ideation whoops
After Marineford and the payback war, marco keeps a small box in the back of the bottom drawer of his dresser on Sphinx.
There's a set of seastone jewelry inside. A bangle bracelet, a few rings, an armband. It jangles around loosely inside the box, but the sound is muffled by the clothing that sits on top of it.
For a year and a half after Marineford and the payback war, the box sat there. A distant and forgettable friend, out of sight and out of mind.
After Wano, while enjoying Shanks' company on the Red Force, he had totally forgotten it was there.
After returning home and finding Sphinx defended and safe, and paying back the idiot who claims Whitebeard as a biological father, the siren call starts up. The world is changing and if things go the way Luffy seems to intend them...
Well, Sphinx probably won't need him after that. Doctors aren't rare, after all, and Devil Fruit have their ways of getting back into the world after their previous user is gone. Some days he never spares a thought for the box. Some days it's all he can do to not lock himself into his house with the box in his lap. He never opens it, but he jostles it purposefully to hear the metal rings and bracelets ding off each other-music to his tired soul.
He thinks about the box, and the ocean. He knows what being stabbed feels like, knows what it is to die to guns and cannonballs and burns and dismemberment. He knows what a heart pumping nothing but air feels like, knows what poison does to the guts and lungs, knows what sleep unending sounds like when it chases away what he can see.
He's never known drowning-the one thing that would be permanently fatal to him. He's heard stories, seen it's affects on others, but never has he actually gone into the water in a dangerous manner. He thinks about the waterfall, and the ocean around Sphinx. Thinks about the cliff that Ace and Pop's grave overlook that paint such a beautiful picture of the sea.
Some days he sits, box in his lap, and wonders.
Some especially bad days, he wonders and then supposes to himself he'll just have to see how the final battle goes and how hard Luffy will need him to fight.

The way that tron legacy clarifies that Sam hasn’t seen Alan in a few years, but that they used to be close hurts a lot actually. Because that means Sam was so scared of Alan abandoning him like everyone else that he decided to leave first. He stopped answering Alan’s calls, he moved to the outskirts of the city into a home that was isolated from everyone, he only had his dog and himself and it’s because he chose that. Sam cut himself off from the world, from the people that loved him, as a form of self preservation because so many people in his life left him and he couldn’t handle it anymore.
