The Israeli military said Friday it carried out an airstrike on the central headquarters of Hezbollah in Beirut, where a massive explosion leveled buildings in a southern district, sending clouds of orange and black smoke billowing in the skies.

The strike in the Beirut suburb of Dahiyeh came shortly after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the U.N., vowing that Israel's campaign against Hezbollah would continue. Not long before the explosion, thousands were massed in the suburb for the funeral of three Hezbollah members, including a senior commander, killed in earlier strikes.

There was no immediate word on casualties in the strike. The Israeli army spokesman, Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, said it targeted the main Hezbollah headquarters, located beneath residential [sic] buildings. Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV said four buildings were reduced to rubble in the blast, so powerful it rattled windows and shook houses some 30 kilometers north of Beirut. Ambulances were seen headed to the scene of the explosions, sirens wailing.

An Israeli cyber and national security expert has claimed that the exploding pagers carried by Hezbollah members in Lebanon, which left thousands wounded and killed at least nine people on Tuesday, were part of a sophisticated attack that was planned at least half a year before the war in Gaza erupted.

Dr. Eyal Pinko, a former navy commander and senior research fellow at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, dismissed theories that the blasts were caused by lithium batteries that were hacked to become overheated, and said that the nature of the wounds seen in footage emerging from Lebanon was consistent with those caused by explosives such as TNT and HTB.

“To get this kind of wound you need to have between one to two grams of type of explosives, which is not a big technological issue — you just need to open the beeper,” Pinko said during a briefing with reporters on Tuesday evening. He added that a stable explosive that wouldn’t detonate accidentally would have been inserted into the device, along with a small control mechanism capable of receiving remote commands via a call or page.

Such an operation would have required significant infiltration of Hezbollah’s communication systems, according to Pinko, and planting explosives in pagers would necessitate a serious breach of the supply chain. “This is an intelligence operation that was very well planned, prepared for more than one and a half years,” Pinko said.

Pinko alluded to the possibility of a coordinated effort, suggesting that Israel may not have acted alone if it was behind the attack in Lebanon, where Hezbollah wields significant political and military clout. He noted efforts by Germany, France, the US, and the UK to prevent escalation in the region.

Israel has so far been quiet about the explosions, but senior Lebanese officials have blame the Jewish state. So too has Hezbollah, which said Israel would receive “its fair punishment.”

Healthcare denied

This happened a few years ago, to my father, who had managed Medicare. (Aetna, I'm naming names)

We got hit with a hurricane. All power is out for miles around. Note: no evacuation warning. Was not expected to do that kind of damage. We had no power for 10 days.

This man in OXYGEN DEPENDENT. He uses an electrically powered oxygen concentrator and has some back up bottled oxygen. But oxygen place would never give us more than a 24 hour supply. Because insurance.

He's also got COPD and needs nebulizer treatments several times a day. That also requires power.

Hurricane had finally cleared out enough we can get out of the house. All the hotels in safe travel distance: either NO POWER or fully booked. We managed to find ONE with power. "we have one out of service room with no working shower, if that fine"

We'll take it.

Throw elderly man in the car, his oxygen, his oxygen concentrator, the nebulizer, everything, in car and get him checked in at hotel. It is STILL not enough. His oxygen is crashing, he can't breathe.

The ambulance arrives to take him to the hospital. The fire department and ambulance corp are all running off generator power because there is nothing with power.

The only things WITH power are the things on this one circuit: a nursing facility, this hotel (where every lineman is staying, its filling with utility trucks as we stand there), and the Lebanese restaurant. This is suburb connected to NYC city by train. It is PITCH BLACK.

I and my mother go home, to the pitch black house while Dad goes to the hospital. (fortunately it was summer, so okay weather) Someone else with similar health problems immediately snagged the room with broken shower. I pray they had better outcome.

The power is STILL OUT days later. it is declared a federal disaster area.

Hospital: we're discharging him!

Us: the hell you are. there is no power here. there is no water. He will be back a few hours later. also every time he's had a crisis like this, he's gone to a step down rehab for a few days to make sure he doesn't immediately crash again.

Hospital: insurance says no . Come pick him up. they won't pay for more hospital care or rehab facility

We had enough money banked we could GET him to the rehab facility for a week that meant we finally had power again. We just had to pay for a full week. Up front. We talked to our congresswoman (Jahanna Hayes) who went to bat vs the healthcare company because it was managed Medicare. They eventually reimbursed us for that nursing care, which he really needed!

If we hadn't had that savings available...

TLDR: Aetna denied care to a medically fragile oxygen-dependent patient and tried to have him sent back to a federal disaster zone where his house had no power or water. Or bottled oxygen.

It’s a little friendly competition for Gazala Halabi. What impresses me is collaboration between Lebanese and Israeli Druze, populations that have been set against one another because of the politics of the countries wherein they reside. Perhaps someday they can be part of bringing peace between those countries.

This is also an important reminder that Hamas respects no lives: not Jews, not Arabs, not Druze, not the young nor the elderly, not Gazans nor Israelis. They will kill anyone. They are hostis humani generis and must be rooted out for anyone in the region to thrive.

9 NEW MASSACRES OF PALESTINIAN FAMILIES ON DAY 169 OF "ISRAEL'S" ONGOING WAR OF GENOCIDE IN GAZA

On the 169th day of "Israel's" ongoing war of genocide against the Palestinian population of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) committed a total of 9 new massacres of Palestinian families, resulting in the deaths of at least 82 Palestinians, and wounding another 110 others, over the previous 24-hours.

Local ambulance and civil defense personnel remain unable to reach many of the victims, who remain trapped under the rubble of local buildings and residential homes, while the IOF continues heavily bombing and shelling in the vicinity of the sites of "Israeli" massacres.

Even as the attacks on Palestinian civilians by the occupation army increased, IOF warplanes continued to fire missiles into southern Lebanon, bombing several sites over the last day.

According to reports, Zionist warplanes bombed the villages of Ayta ash-Shaab, Al-Khiyam, and Al-Taybeh, while occupation artillery forces shelled the towns of Mari, Aitaroun and Houla in southern Lebanon.

At the same time, occupation reconnaissance aircraft flew over the coastal Lebanese city of Tyre, as well as Bint Jbeil and over the Litani River, while also dropping flares over nearby border villages.

Meanwhile, the genocide in the Gaza Strip continues unabated, with IOF aircraft resuming and even intensifying airstrikes targeting nearly every sector of the Palestinian enclave.

In just one example of the occupation's war crimes, Zionist artillery forces shelled a residential home belonging to the Al-Qouqa family, northwest of Gaza City, resulting in the deaths of at least 10 civilians.

Similarly, an "Israeli" drone fired a missile towards a group of civilians in the Al-Zana neighborhood, east of Khan Yunis, located in south-central Gaza, killing at least three civilians who's bodies were taken to the European Gaza Hospital.

In the south of Gaza, occupation warplanes bombed the Abu Thabet family residence in the Nasr neighborhood of Rafah, martyring no less than 8 civilians and wounding several others.

In the meantime, the "Israeli" occupation army resumed its bombardment of the Al-Rimal neighborhood, north of Gaza City, in the vicinity of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, firing several missiles alongside intense artillery shelling, which witnesses said led to thick, black smoke rising from the complex and nearby buildings.

Local medical sources with Al-Shifa Hospital told Palestinian news agency WAFA that three civilian patients had died as a result of the occupation army's fifth consecutive day of blockading and besieging of the hospital, preventing crucial medical supplies, medicines, food and fuel from reaching the complex. Families of the hospital's patients appealed to the media and occupation authorities to allow the transfer of sick or wounded relatives, in desperate need of proper medical care and treatments, to other hospitals not under attack.

Elsewhere, Zionist air forces bombed the residential home of the Abu Eisha family in Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, while at the same time, occupation airstrikes also targeted homes and buildings in the Nuseirat Refugee Camp, as well as several sites in Jabalia and Beit Lahia in Gaza's north.

In Deir al-Balah, occupation aircraft bombed a residential home east of the city, in the central Gaza Strip, wounding a woman, while "Israel's" intense bombardment also targeted the Al-Baraka neighborhood, killing several civilians and wounding a number of others.

Simultaneously, Zionist soldiers fired live bullets towards displaced Palestinian civilians in the Al-Mawasi neighborhood near Al-Qarara, northwest of the city of Khan Yunis, wounding dozens of people.

Another "Israeli" occupation fighter jet bombed a two-story residential building in the Al-Mirage area, north of Rafah city, martyring at least five Palestinians and wounding several others.

Air forces with the occupation army also bombarded several sites in Al-Qarara, dealing significant damage to the city, according to local witnesses.

While in yet another crime, Zionist occupation forces bombed a site near the Mediterranean beach, north of Rafah, killing at least one Palestinian man who was transported to the Al-Kuwaiti Hospital.

At the same time, occupation aircraft and artillery shelling targeted the Ayad family home in the Al-Shati Refugee Camp, west of Gaza City, killing two civilians and wounding a number of others.

Occupation artillery forces also resumed the bombardment of the eastern neighborhoods of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, while bombing and shelling also intensified in the Nuseirat Camp in central Gaza.

At least one civilian shot by an occupation sniper in the village of Mughragha, north of Al-Nuseirat.

In the southern Gazan city of Rafah, local paramedic crews recovered the bodies of four martyred children as a result of "Israel's" intensifying bombing of the city, while just north of Rafah, occupation aircraft bombarded a residential home inhabited by a local family, resulting in 5 deaths and 7 injuries.

In another drone strike, an occupation quadcopter fired a missile towards agricultural lands adjacent to the municipal stadium in the Al-Mawasi neighborhood, west of Rafah city, murdering displaced 22 year-old Abdul Karim Saeed Daoud Talib, who was a resident of Jabalia, and wounding another six others.

As a result of "Israel's" ongoing war of genocide against the Palestinian population of the Gaza Strip, the endlessly rising death toll has now exceeded 32'070 martyrs, more than 25'000 of which being women and children according to the United States Pentagon, while another 74'298 civilians have been wounded in "Israeli" attacks on Gaza, with the current round of Zionist aggression beginning on October 7th, 2023.

ICC issues arrest warrants for Israel’s Netanyahu, Gaza death toll surpasses 44,000

Gaza health officials said on Thursday that the death toll from the 13-month war between Israel and Hamas has surpassed 44,000, as the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant and Hamas leader Mohammed Deif for alleged war crimes related to the Gaza war.

According to the warrants, Netanyahu and Gallant could be arrested if they travel abroad. According to unconfirmed reports, Mohammed Diab Ibrahim Al-Masri, also known as Mohammed Deif. may have been killed by Israel.

The court’s chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, requested the arrest warrants in May, saying there were reasonable grounds to believe that Netanyahu and Gallant were “criminally responsible” for the mass starvation in Gaza, which constitutes war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Gaza officials say death toll surpasses 44,000

Gaza health officials said Thursday that the death toll from the 13-month war between Israel and Hamas has surpassed 44,000.

Gaza’s health ministry did not distinguish between civilians and combatants, but it said more than half of the dead were women and children. The Israeli military claims to have killed more than 17,000 militants, without citing any evidence.

Meanwhile, a rocket fired from Lebanon killed a man and wounded two others in northern Israel on Thursday, according to Israel’s main ambulance service.

The Magen David Adom rescue service said paramedics found the body of a man in his 30s near a playground in the town of Nahariya, near the Lebanese border, after a rocket fired on Thursday.

Israel launched a war against Hamas after Hamas-led militants stormed southern Israel on October 7, 2023, killing about 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and kidnapping another 251. About 100 hostages are still in Gaza, at least a third of them believed to be dead.

Most of the rest were released during a ceasefire last year. The Israeli offensive has caused severe destruction in the vast coastal territory and displaced 90 per cent of Gaza’s population of 2.3 million.

770 children arrested in the West Bank since last October

More than 770 children from the West Bank have been arrested since the start of Israel’s genocidal war against the Gaza Strip last October, human rights sources said.

On International Children’s Day, which is marked on November 20, the Commission for Detainees and Former Detainees and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said on Wednesday that in light of the ongoing crime of enforced disappearance of Gazans, there are no accurate figures on arrested children from Gaza.

They explained that at least 270 children remain detained in Israel’s Ofer and Megiddo prisons, as well as in other military detention camps, including new camps established following the escalation of Israeli arrest operations that have affected thousands of citizens.

Human rights groups indicated that arrested children have been subjected to severe beatings and threats, confirming that statistical studies and documented evidence indicate that arrested children have been subjected to some form of physical or psychological torture through a number of systematic means and methods that contravene human rights laws, international conventions and the rights of the child. According to them, some children were executed on the spot during detention operations.

Statistical studies have also documented a number of cases of children being used as hostages by the Israeli army to force their family members to surrender, noting that the most striking of these cases was the story of a three-year-old child from the town of Beit Liqya in Ramallah who was arrested for an hour and a half before being released when his father was forced to surrender.

45,317 dead in Gaza, including 14,500 children. 58 in 24 hours

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) reported that some 14,500 Palestinian children have lost their lives since the Israeli regime launched its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian women have also been deeply affected, along with children, bearing the brunt of the ongoing atrocities, the UN agency said, according to the Lebanese daily Al-Manar.

UNICEF highlighted that in just one month, 160 Palestinian children were killed in Gaza. The report states that Israel’s policy of forced evacuation has led to the displacement of two million Palestinians in Gaza, most of whom are women and children.

According to the ministry, many victims are still under the rubble and on the roads and ambulances and Civil Defense crews are unable to reach them.
