Gwendolyn Holloway for @smallsimmer's BC
Obviously she knows about her already but for those that don't here's a quick run down ..
Gwen is a 24 year old party girl who is now a single mother to her son, Lance.
Gwen considers herself a good person with bad qualities but in reality she's highly stubborn and can be a bit of a bully to those around her. She has a few narcissistic tendencies that she picked up from her favorite parent, her does-no-wrong dad, and hates being seen as imperfect or a failure.
She doesn't much care about others unless she feels like they're similar to her or interest her in some way and Camilla for the most part sounded right up her alley.
Now the question is will the two ladies be able to click romantically or will Gwen cause too much trouble and ruin her chance. 🙏

Business as Usual - LS18
You walked through the woods, heading towards the isolated little river that you sat by whenever you felt overwhelmed. As you approached the opening in the trees, you saw a figure, someone sat down on the rock next to the one that you normally say at. You shrugged to yourself, not really caring if someone else was there, he seemed quiet and you could still unwind. As if he could sense a presence, he turned, looking at you. You sent him a gentle smile, walking over and sitting on the rock that sat beside the one he was on.
“Do you mind? This is my spot,” he said, sounding rather frustrated at the new presence.
“Well it's my spot too, so I'm going to quietly enjoy it,” you responded, not really in the mood for another argument that day. He seemed to accept that, groaning rather dramatically before accepting it and going quiet.
You watched as the river flowed gently, the crystal-clear water meandering gracefully between rocks. You could see the pebbles below the water, laying contently on the river bed, some adorned with moss which had slowly covered more and more pebbles over time. The sound of running water and gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze subdued the loud sounds in your brain, allowing you to shut everything that you were feeling out. The fragrant scent of wildflowers and mud filled your senses as you breathed in, causing a sigh of content to leave your mouth. The natural canopy provided by the trees above allowed you to sit there calmly, shading the sun from your face and body as you watched the ripples of the water.
You heard a gasp and sudden movement from the man sat beside you. You looked in his direction, looking into his eyes and following his eyesight to the creature that had landed by him and startled him so much. You started laughing softly. “It's not funny, don't laugh.”
“You're scared of a tiny little frog?” You asked, leaning over to pick it up. “Hi little buddy.” You spoke gently to the frog as it sat contently in your hand, bringing it up to eye level with you and looking at it. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw the man sit back down. “Do you want to hold him?”
He was silent, so you looked up at him, seeing the anxious look in his eyes. “What if I hurt it? I don't want to do that.”
You smiled softly. “You trust me?”
He thought for a moment before gently nodding. “I guess, why?”
You signalled for him to hold out his hand, which he did, before gently moving your hand over so the frog could move onto him. You watched as his brown eyes softened, his mouth turning into a grin as he held the tiny creature in his hand. “It’s kind of cute…”
“I hope this doesn't sound weird but may I take a photo of it in your hand? Your face won't be in the picture, of course, but I like infodumping about animals, plants, buildings and history on my Instagram pages that I'm an admin on.”
“Pages, plural?”
“Yes, I have 2. One for nature and history and I have one where I post personal stuff.” He nodded, before allowing you to take some photos. You did, answering his questions about the type of frog as you took photos, him offering to take one of you holding it afterwards, which you gladly accepted. Placing your camera back in your bag after turning it off, you looked back at him as he spoke again. You placed the frog on your knee, luckily having chosen to wear shorts so your clothes weren't getting dirty from the little creature that rested contently on you.
“Why do you come here?”
“It's… an escape.” He looked at you, his expression unreadable so you continued talking. “When everything gets too loud, when family gets overwhelming, when work is stressful, it's nice to be able to escape here and just listen to the breeze and the water, the trees. It's all just so calming. What about you?”
He nodded, understanding exactly where you came from. “Same.”
“You wanna talk about it?”
He pondered your question for a moment before he decided to explain. “Where I work… people can be quite harsh sometimes. It's like I can never do anything without people hating me. They call me a nepo baby.” He paused, chuckling bitterly. “I know that it sounds stupid, getting frustrated over it, but people always say I don't deserve my job, that the only reason I'm here is because of nepotism. It's mental.” He sighed, looking in your direction, eyes scanning you. “What about you? What's going on with you?”
“My dad, well, step dad's trying to convince me to give him my business now that it's successful. Just like handing it over to him willingly. He invited me over to ask me to willingly give up the thing I built from the ground up.”
“Really? Why would he do that?”
You lifted your hands up, making quotation marks with your hands. “Women shouldn't run businesses, they should marry, have kids and stay at home doing housework.” He snorted, thinking you were joking. “I'm serious.”
“People still think like that?” He looked confused, watching as you nodded, sighing in response to that. Unfortunately, some people were still like that. And it pissed you off a lot.
“Unfortunately, I always wondered why mama willingly gave up working despite absolutely loving her job after they got married.” You shrugged. “He won’t be getting my company though. No way in hell. He only wants it for the money.” You paused, checking your phone. “Speaking of my business. I’ve got a business meeting party thing tonight so I will have to go.”
“It was lovely meeting you.” He smiled at you as you placed the frog on the rock, picking up your tote bag and heading out.
You went straight home, thinking that he looked familiar but you couldn’t quite put your finger on it. Sat in your hotel room, you decided to paint a bit before you headed for the business event. You wore quite a basic smart casual outfit - some white pants with a green shirt and matching blazer. Your hair was left down and you wore some basic makeup, not feeling like going over the top.
Stepping into the venue, you sighed. This was something you didn’t love about running a business. Sure, you enjoyed the small delicacies and the free wine you got all evening, but you couldn’t stand the large handful of males who decided that you, a woman, couldn’t understand basic terminology so would spend the entire time mansplaining to you. Usually, you’d bring a friend, but being in Canada, away from your main place of residence, you didn’t really have anyone to bring. So you wandered around the venue quietly, other than stopping to say hi to people as you passed them, champagne in hand. That was until you saw a white-haired man approach you.
He smiled, seeming rather friendly. He held out his hand. “Hi. Miss Martins, yes?” You nodded. “It's lovely to meet you, I'm Lawrence Stroll.” You shook his hand, smiling back. “Your step-father said that you're here on behalf of his business?”
You shook your head. “Martins Associates?”
“That's my business, not Anthony's,” you said, leading to a look of confusion on his face. “He's been trying to convince me to hand over my business to him willingly now it's doing well.”
“Oh, well I am very sorry if I insulted you there, dear. I genuinely had no idea.”
“No, it's perfectly fine. Has he been telling everyone this?”
Lawrence nodded. “Want me to go have words with the owner of this?”
“I’m meant to be talking later, so I’ll just bring it up then.”
You and Lawrence continued to talk, making friendly conversation. He talked a lot about his son, you realised. You didn’t mind, though. You didn’t usually know what to talk about. He explained about how his son is a Formula One driver and how he was super proud of him and how far he’s come over the years. He then looked around before waving somebody over. Your eyes turned from Lawrence to the person who was being waved over. When you glanced at the familiar man who you had spent time with earlier that day, you smiled. His face twisted from a look of boredom to one of relief, likely at someone he had noticed, someone who wasn’t an old man. “Y/N, this is my son, Lance Stroll. Lance, this is Miss Martins, she runs Martins Associates.”
“Miss Martins. It is very lovely to see you again.” Lance lifted your hand gently, placing a kiss to your knuckles.
“Please, call me Y/N, Mr Stroll.”
“Alright, and you can call me Lance, of course.” His dad excused himself so he turned back to you, a gentle smile on his face. “May I get you a drink?”
The rest of the night went by pretty quickly. You had done your little talk, making it very clear at the start that you owned your business, not your step-father. You then spent the rest of your evening with your new Canadian friend, who you found out also lived in Switzerland, relatively close to you as well. However, eventually, your conversation wrapped up and you had to head home to catch your plane back.

habitatsandhistory: Today, we stumbled across a pseudacris crucifer, known more commonly as a Spring Peeper! These small tree frogs from the Hylidae family are found in woodland areas of the Eastern states of the USA and Canada. They are usually grey, tan or olive brown with an x-shaped, often irregular, brown mark on it's back. They grow to a length of between 2.5 and 3 cm in size!
This little guy was found by the river on slide 5, when it jumped up onto a nearby rock and I couldn't resist getting a photo of it! Feel free to follow for more history and nature facts!

———————————————
—Background:
Jen grew up in a decent sized house with a Russian father and a Italian-American mother, along with her older sister Dottie. When it came to both children, their parents loved them both the exact same.
However, behind the smiles and glittering eyes on both daughters held an small rivalry that over time.
Dottie was always the one-upper of the pair, acting like she knew more and always one step ahead of everything. Hell, Dottie enjoyed having her nose in her young sister’s business, ignoring her most of the day, parenting her like she was a second-mother and treating her sister, Jen, like a pest that she couldn’t stand.
But Jen wasn’t far behind either, as she rather enjoyed sometimes sticking her nose in older sister’s business, taking her sweater without asking and bugging her with whatever new thing she was obsessed with at the moment. The difference was that Jen knew her limits, as she held a fear behind her smile when it came to Dottie, often intimated by her status and rude attuned attitude.
It didn’t help that both ladies couldn’t be more different when it came to their interests.
In result, it often led to plenty of bickering, fighting over every single thing possible and barking off more than they can chew.
However, it all came to a sudden pause when their father Alexander was overseas with Dottie to Russia saying they had business to attend to. Her mother only simply nodded and hugged them both watching them drive away, before entering the house to continue her daily task, asking Jen to follow behind.
The girl was confused on the matter and questioned the trip later that night. Her mother, Fran, simply told her that Dottie was one of the few girls signed off to train and becomes a skilled fighter.
Saying that one day, Jennifer might get her turn to do the same but the young blonde refused the idea. She rather stay home, be a kind young lady, fall in love, paint all the gardens in the fields and learn what she needs to in America. She visited Russia before, as she always found it to be colder and unassuming to her likely.
Whatever Dottie was doing, Jennifer wanted no part of it.
Thankfully, with a small sigh, her mother agreed to her dreams and kissed her cheek.
Years later, Jennifer would learn what her sister was doing and fought to not follow the same path. She had to desire to become a skilled fighter in Mother Russia and train to be become an assistant to The Red Room. But faith had other plans, as her parents promised her to do a trail run, live in Russia and educate herself into getting certificate of achievement.
Just for a few short months. 3 months.
With a deep sigh and small grunt, she did so as promised. In The Red Room, she was made to watch videos on culture, read books, take any notes and practice her knowledge on what she already knows. Not just that, Jennifer was brought in to take up a couple of activities such as dance, carefully handle weaponry, learning basic combat and drive a vehicle, if she ever needs to hot-wire and getaway.
Jennifer wouldn’t admit it but a small part of her enjoyed watching the women in those rooms all move in one single motion like trained dancers, ready to performance for a show on stage, and she was in the front row getting a glimpse of the sight.
She looked over her shoulder as a tall shadow took behind her, she gulped assuming it was one of the teachers ready to shout in her face for sneaking out of her bedroom this late in the afternoon, but instead it was her older sister.
“What?” She grunted out, spinning to face the taller blonde.
The tall blonde held a slinging smirk, “Nothing. Like what you see?”
“You’re new high ponytail or the performance?”
“Both, Fefe.”
“Don’t fall me that. What do you want?”
“Just want to know if my baby sister is enjoying it here?”
“You mean having my wrist cuffed to the bed, being held in a isolated room twice a week with no windows and a locked door? Oh yeah, I love it.” She repiled with a sarcastic tone.
Dottie grinned, “And having me here as a upper classmen.”
“Yeah…that. When are you gonna realize you’re just as insane to enjoy this, Dot? You love it here and actually find it trilling. I don’t.”
“Oh, Fefe, when are you gonna realize that with this opportunity you can be just like me? With grace and perfection.”
“That’s my point. I am not like you and I will never be like you. And when my time is up, I won’t be seeing you ever again.”
And Jennifer was right.
She was out of the building soon enough, in hopes to keep her head down and never have to be stuck in a place like that again. But Dottie did warn her as a hard heavy threat, one day, they will try and offer you a deal, snatched her up and order her to work for them.
Jennifer grunted and hoped with her luck, she wouldn’t. However, as lucky as she was with never being dragged there again, she did have Dottie reappear later on her life once or twice just for add measure…
—————————————
📰~The 1940s~ 💡
Plenty years past since those 3 sleepless months within that building and Jen couldn’t be more pleased with herself to be blessed to see a new path her way.
She was living in New York City, Queens as a waitress and painting on the side. She enjoyed painting the city skyline, the people in the park and her favorite flowers whenever possible. She was what many called her, a cartoonist. And her job wasn’t so bad either, yes the clients can be rude and annoying at times, but she made it work.
And her uniform was her biggest perk of her job. The simple teal-blue dress, her white headband, brown flats and her cute pins over her apron.
It was good, also with the fact she clocked out early to visit the fair, as everyone was there to see all the new attractions, men getting tested to see if they’re qualified for the war, people going dancing and much more. One evening, she found herself reading the newspaper wondering the fair, enjoying the sights, getting a drink and eventually standing in the crowd to see the main attraction.
Howard Stark. The Expo.
Little did she know that the man on that stage would change her life, by becoming apart of it.
She laughed, awed and smiled during the show. Even catching glimpses of his young sibling on stage, who eventually joined him.
She looked over her shoulder noticing a ‘help wanted’ signed stamped over a couple of posters, removing one of the tickets and followed to the small building to see what can could apply for. It seemed with the war going on, they need volunteers to help nurse the men on the field and inside buildings. Jennifer thought for a moment, onto her decision but then realized that it was worth it to help the good wanting to men serve their country.
Two weeks laters, she was working as a volunteered nurse. She got tested, signed off and given new uniform to wear. When a certain doctor asked for her name, it seemed like he missed heard it, as he wrote down a different name under her paperwork.
Instead of Jennie Underwood, he put down ‘Jeanie Wood’.
Jen didn’t know if it was on purpose it or not, but it taken her by a surprise at the name. The last person to give her a similar name like that was her 5th grade English teacher, yet she wasn’t complaining. She liked it, a lot.
And if she had to admit, she enjoyed it more than she expected, making friends with the other nurses, checking on the vitals of men and women, along with cleaning their wounds. It’s also when she met Miss Margaret “Peggy” Carter, who came in to recruit some nurses for an experimental program to help out the war, as she was handpicked to do so.
To say, Peggy Carter wowed Jen was an understatement. The women was kind, fierce, charming, witty, a little sassy, had a stronghold on her role here and cared for others. It surprised her how Peggy took a liking to her during those days spent on the job.
That same week, she met Howard Stark as he was preparing for the super solider experiment that she was apart of. The moment Howard met her, he was dazzled, in awe and flirting with the blonde. That was the first time Jennie ever actually blushed and smiled, turning her face to hide her blush from Howard’s darling compliments and witty comments.
Howard simply smiled at her blushing and went off to finish preparing his equipment for the day, before offering to buy her lunch. His tongue accidentally slipped nicknaming her ‘JJ’ for short. Jennie hesitated as she removed her gloves after preparing the equipment and serum with the other nurses needed for tomorrow. One of the nurses nudged her to say ‘yes’ as Jennie just smiled and nodded, following the brunette out the door.
The following day, she met Steve Rogers, as she was there helping to performance the processor and watching the man transform from a skinny kid to a tall solider. But the cheers and awes were cut short as Dr. Erskine died, causing Jennie to remove a gun off the table aiming at the person who fired the shot, but missed by a close second as the man ran out the door. Before she can get a second to blink, Steve and Peggy raced out the door to follow him. Jennie stayed behind to help, get Dr. Erskine to a more comfort position and calm down the crowd.
After that whole event, things were put back into swings as the war went on, Steve became Captain America serving his country, Peggy was brought to help, along with Howard and Jennie to do their part in serving for the better of their playing field.
Once again, she was given a slight change of clothing instead of white, it was light browns and a dark brown jacket to watch.
Jennie was put to work, not as a volunteered nurse, but a someone who helped with the design and coordinates for any trips. She put her skills to some use, which made her smile. Soon enough, the war ended per say in some victorious cheers and others in sorrows for the ones they lost.
When Steve Rogers went down in the plane, after speaking to Peggy on the radio as their side of the speakers cut to static, Jen was the first to enter the room and pull the English brunette into an tight embrace.
———————
💭 ~Meetings and revisiting the past~📑
Once the war ended, Peggy and Jen stayed friends, keeping Howard in touch of course. As both were brought to working in New York City at The SSR (which would later on become SHIELD), Peggy worked at an assigned sectary despite her endless response to her being able to do more. Daniel Sousa saw more in her, which made the women smile at the thought and respect she got from him.
Meanwhile Jen didn’t mind it being the coffee girl/assistant at the SSR, basically a sectary with a nicer name. It gave her a flexible schedule most days, other days she was spent working later hours at her desk.
Thankfully she had Agent Jack Thompson to keep her company, despite his personality, the man saw Jennie as a little sister whenever she entered the building. As if he wanted to shield her from harm and have her stand back from the tough stuff, even through she reminds him that she seen men come back from the war wounded or worse.
Jack would sometimes buy her burger if they knew everyone was gonna be working a late night. He would often bicker with her and Peggy as the English women rolled her eyes, but Jen would respond by saying that it seems like Thompson has a crush on Carter. Which results in Peggy chuckling at the blonde women.
Things were going fine until Howard Stark was wanted for crimes against the country, recruiting for Peggy to help find the truth and prove him innocent. She even entrusted his butler Edwin Jarvis to asset her with the investigation.
In which Jennie met while she was getting herself coffee one morning at the diner where she used to work as a waitress, ordering Mr. Jarvis a coffee.
Mr. Jarvis smiled and thanked for, offering to pay for her donut as an exchange. They soon became friends after that. Little did Jarvis know that Jennifer would become good friends with his lovely wife, Ana, too.
Jennifer didn’t want any to be thrown too far into the mix of things, as she eventually joined to the two Brits on their investigation.
Especially after the plot thicken, she started to be thrown in for a loop as The SSR all visited Russia and reunited with The Howling Commandos, finding themselves in a building that once held many men and women who were spies.
The beds with handcuffs, weird therapists, scientists and much more on that visit to Russia. At one point, Jen froze as she stayed rubbing her wrist at the sight, as it took A Howling Commando to drag her out of the rooms. Hell, some of their own agents froze at the sights, meanwhile others stayed strong during the fight.
On the plane ride home, Jen started to let Peggy in on why she froze, but not everything, as Peggy held the blonde close. Jen was given flashbacks to those 3 months in Mother Russia, the trips she went on and how during the war she remembered the men she had to nurse coming home lost to confused.
But the biggest punch to the grunt was when she saw her older sister on the streets of NYC, under some false name living at The Griffith Hotel for Women, pretending to be some new lady here and wanting to go sightseeing. It made her sick, especially since Dottie got closer to Peggy and watched her baby sister from afar, with sneaky eyes to see her next move.
That’s when everything made sense to Jen.
Dottie was here undercover working for someone who was framing Howard Stark and having everyone turn against the man. Peggy didn’t fully believe Jennie at first when she came in with her claims, Jack Thompson nor Daniel Sousa did either, but soon enough the truth came into full force.
As one could imagine things took a turn for people at The SRR, as they close in on Howard Stark, the true enemies are revealed and much more to everyone involved. As they planned to draw out the real threat, The Leviathan.
But it goes awry when Dottie Underwood distract the agents while Stark is kidnapped, as her boss uses hypnosis to make Howard drop as gasp he invented called “Midnight Oil” to onto Time Square.
Thankfully with Jarvis’s help, they all found them just in time. Jack Thompson and Daniel Sousa handled The Leviathan, who’s name was Johann Fennhoff. Meanwhile Jennie, Jarvis and Peggy handled Dottie, while also trying to convince Howard to not drop the gas over Time Square.
To say Dottie was excited to see her sister again in full swing and having a thrilling fight with Peggy was an understatement.
However this time, Jennie wasn’t too frightened to fight her sister again, as she found strategy and strength in herself to be more confident. It was a bigger perk, that this time around, she had Peggy who was more than intrigued to battle Dottie after their last encounter.
In the end, things were brought to light, they defeated Dottie (who escaped), the right people were imprisoned with scheming with Zola and everyone was given a chance to breath once again.
But like always, life for Jen didn’t stop there as she moved to Los Angeles for her next adventure…
————————
🦅~The 50s—60s~ 🕰️
In 1956, things were looking swell for Jennie as she was working for SHIELD in Los Angeles as an agent. She had her own office, meetings scheduled, kept designing models, going out to dinners and the occasional trip for sizable missions.
She discovered she had a little love for the unknown, collecting items, designing, doing presentations and going on trips to report new things back to SHIELD headquarters.
She was the one to design the SHIELD logo and style of the front over the years after all. Her and Howard liked with idea of an eagle with spread wings.
-> Eagles with its keen eyes symbolized courage, healing, hope, vision, resilience and most importantly strength.
However one late spring night, everything flipped on it’s head for Jennie. It was one of their agent’s bridal shower and she was invited to join in the celebration, free drinks and food, of course she was coming.
Yet, she was soon about to regret that trip.
She was driving home in one of SHIELD’s invented cars, that was had a working mentor that connected to the battery phone. She was on the phone was Jarvis’ wife, Ana, talking about how wonderful her weekend was, crossing a simple long bridge, when a light shower of rain started to fall from above. It wasn’t anything unusual, the weather did call for a light shower that weekend, but what took her by surprise is the springing dose of snowflakes.
“Uh, Ana, I’ll have to call you back…” She said, hanging up the phone and hanging it back where it belong.
It was simply magical to such a sight, however it went from beauty to a beast wanting the snowflakes became a slamming balls of hail hitting the car as she started to carefully hurry along the bridge. However the road soon became dangerous, causing her to swirl off the path and hitting the railing as her car went flying and smash into the water.
The faint sounds of the phone could be heard, ringing with a voice on the other end as the car drowned into the large body of water. In the car, Jennifer was silent with bruises and cuts all over her body, her forehead held a large cut that was covered by blood.
Her breathing stopped as her heartbeat slowed down in seconds, her core body temperature dropped greatly. At that very moment her heart stopped beating.
At 8:55pm, a blot of lighten struck the car. The volts of electricity impact was more than strong enough to reset the heart into a clear rhythm. Jeanie Woods—Jennie Underwoods body slowly lifted from the lower end of the car to regain its awareness. Her head rushed to the surface, jolting out of her anoxic state, causing her to draw her first breath in 4 minutes.
Cough and breathing heavy, Jennie regain memory of recent events, using all her skilled strength within her to carefully climb out of the car, knocking the side door open capturing the cool air that surrounding her.
She breathed heavily, spreading outside of the side door and swimming forwards to the surface, finding a pot of greenery in the cold depths of the night. Once she climbing onto the grass, rolling over as she let her back hit the grass such a reliving impact. She squeezed her eyes shut and opened it once again to watch the snowy sky fall onto her cool skin.
Well, she was screwed.
Thankfully she crawled onto her feet and found the nearest gas station, entering a phone booth to call Jarvis to pick her up. And being the good friend he was, the man arrived with a blanket as well, bringing to his house to stay the night. She explained to Jarvis the accident, planning on trying to recall everything she could remember to have it on record of that night and how the car was totaled in the process, but the man didn’t care as long as she was safe and sound.
As the years went, she credited her appearance to a healthy diet, often exercising, skin care, good genes and just plain luck. However actions was required only months laters when she was pulled over for a minor traffic infraction.
“Ma’am, it says here that you were born in 1923.” Said the officer.
“That’s right, officer.” She repiled with a kind smile.
“That would make you 40?”
“Yes. I look young for my age.”
“Ma’am I might have to hold onto this.”
The two talked by the man didn’t look so convinced, asking to come by the station tomorrow if possible and to bring her birth certificate.
That’s when she knew she needed to start packing, calling up family and making a few adjustments to her life. That’s when she moved back to New York City for a while, keeping her job within SHIELD, but taking up studies for medicine to research her condition, talks with other scientists.
But they all slowly came to the conclusion that it seems like there was no results for her condition, despite the records, recalling of events and etc.
It happened again where officers would stop the women and question her appearance, age and name. Even tried to take her into the station, as she would always do what she must to get out of it, even call up a friend for witness.
Packing up once again, making a couple of whole calls and planes to drive off somewhere off the grid of neither New York or LA, she found herself in San Diego instead. Making sure that Peggy, Howard, Jarvis and their friends know what to do, if anyone contract them, remove any records and to do something about the officers who taken her originally.
In result, Jennie Woods went on to change her name, keep her files close to her chest, residence and appearance the best she could every decade. And to never speak a true word of her fate to answer living soul (unless they were family of course).
To her relief, as the years went on things calmed down and she was less frequently questioned, however she would get wondering eyes at work.

🐤~Auntie JJ~ 🪿
-> May 29th, 1970 her nephew Anthony Edward Stark was born.
The day she held that tiny will soul in her arms, she knew she would love him til her dying days. She would take care of him, spoil the boy, and make sure he knew he was loved, even if she wasn’t there everyday to see him.
And that she did.
In the 70s, Maria and Howard knew they would need a pair of helping hands, aside from Jarvis, as they offered for the women to live with them. And of course, she said yes.
Jennie was there every step of the way and she loved it. Watching Tony grow up, taking his first step, first words, teaching him to read and write. Hell, when he was old enough, Tony would draw her so many drawings that she hang up in her office showcasing her godson’s work.
There were plenty of days and nights where neither of his parents were around as work and events took up their time, so in result if she was free, Jennie would do it.
“..’So after Lisa sewed on the missing button, she gave Corduory a big hug.’ The End. Now it’s time for my little bear to go to sleep.” She said closing the book with a smile.
Usually the 7 year old would give her a sleepy remark but after the long day he had, he decided against it. He rolled onto his side getting comfy.
“Auntie JJ?” He yawned in his small voice.
“Yes baby?” She asked standing up and putting the book back on his bookshelf.
“Would you always love me like Lisa love Corduroy?”
Jennie paused what she was doing as a small smile appeared on her lip at the question, she turned out and kneeled over the bed, placing a hand above Tony’s small cheek. Her warm touch smooth his worries.
“Of course I will, bubba” She replied and pressed a kiss to his forehead.
He smiled in returned, “Can we have pancakes tomorrow?”
“We will have to see. But first night night.”
“Night night.”
She gave him one more smile watching as his eyes closed, pulling his blanket closer. When she knew it was clear to leave, she gently closed the door behind her and escaped to the living room to watch a rerun of The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
Midway through the episode, she paused the taping and through back onto what Tony asked her earlier. She looked down at her lap, playing with the throw pillow in hand and sighed deeply. She knew why he asked that question, with his parents getting busier as the day goes by, especially at such a young age, it makes sense Tony would wonder if the adults in his life still love him.
And she meant what she said earlier, this unconditional love she has for her nephew is true. She adores that tiny little troublemaker, even if she sometimes drives him nuts, it’s one of the reasons she cares for him. He’ll keep on learning , as time slips through her fingers watching him grow up.
She knew she will be always try to be there for him, even if she’s in a different city, she’s only one call away.
And she was right.
Tony’s auntie JJ is there for him every time she can be. The smallest moments and his biggest. His graduations, his first true inventions, taking him out for ice cream, reading him bedtime stories, making him bacon on his birthday, the two of them sneaking off to watch movies late at time and the list goes on.
Hell, if she’s in the same room and near by, JJ is there to poke and pinch Tony when he says something he isn’t supposed to. Which results in him yelling a small, “Ow!” As she’ll give a smile in return or a certain look to tell him to quit it.
There are moments that his aunt JJ would have a date pick him and Tony would try to question his intentions with his aunt. Little did she know her godchild Rei would be the same way in the future. Every single one of her dates biggest haters.

25/30 Eschatology for Dummies
(Previous) | (Index) | (Next)
⛬
Once again, we dive into that font of madness, Prometheus. I lied last time, we’re not talking about language today, I want to bash my head against the problem of “what in blazes is the intent of this movie”.
As the expedition enters the alien structure, suddenly Shaw remembers that germs can float.
“Wait. We still don’t know how Holloway got infected. If it’s in the air–”
This is one of those maddening little moments where the script tells me that no, the earlier removal of helmets was not just the oversight of someone who didn’t know better. The script chose violence.
“Smells fine to me.”
So does VX nerve gas. Truly, this is the mental acumen required to become rich.
The movie attempts to raise tension through a ZOOM AND ENHANCE, and cluing in those in the audience who may have been thinking “Ha! Foolish Engineers! How would they ever destroy life on Earth if they don’t have any spaceships?”
Well, turns out, there are these great big buildings called “hangars”, and you can put spaceships in them, sometimes even under the ground. I almost feel like if they hadn’t buried the ship, Holloway would’ve tried to see if he could do a burnout in it.
David, meanwhile, is having a great time. He’s giving a guided tour of the ship (that he explored more thoroughly than anyone else), pointing out their technology (that he learned how to use), explaining what they were doing (which he figured out before anyone else did), and assuring Weyland that yes, he can talk to the Engineer (which no one else can do), blithely skating by the reasons why he knows Holloway didn’t die from an airborne illness and how the Engineers were going to press the reset buttons on Earth. Simultaneously excelling at what he was supposed to do and also anticipating Weyland’s inevitable doom, possibly even that of humanity as a whole. It feels appropriately childish for a character that’s extremely young, extremely smart, and has had the worst socialization this side of Immortan Joe’s war boys.
Weyland doesn’t care about any of that, because he’s a horrible homunculus of an old Englishman formed out of a forty-five year old Aussie. This continues to vex me, even now. I keep trying to figure out why they did this. Did they originally intend for him to be depicted as young and change their mind? Was the mobility aid exoskeleton thing they put him in heavy and cumbersome? It’s hard to see in these screenshots, but he is wearing one.
Honestly, just have Lance Henriksen play another Weyland again. Lance can definitely play scumbags, and it would honestly be funny to have every single Weyland in every single time period played by him. Have him play Vickers too, for good measure. It would’ve taken me out of the film less than this.
At this point, I personally did not care about any characters besides David and the Engineer. Which is a very strange position to find oneself in, caring most about two characters who seem just fine with humanity going pft!
And I’d like to examine that. Because fiction can put you in all sorts of strange headspaces that can be thoroughly contradictory to personal morals and self-interest. What was the movie trying to do here, and where has it ended up?
I want to start with some assumptions that mass media tends to make. Fiction, in general culture, is often presented as a moral lesson. Your protagonists are virtuous, and anything that stands in their way is villainous evil. The protagonists are also expected to be likable, and the audience is expected to root for them. A moral tale of who is worthy and who is not.
This is only a small piece of what fiction is. No one of these things is required. Villains are not required, sometimes problems aren’t caused maliciously. Protagonists do not have to be moral. Moral characters don’t have to be likable. You don’t have to root for the protagonists. And none of these divisions are binary.
I am uncertain whether we are supposed to root for the protagonists in this movie. Ridley Scott isn’t a stranger to this idea–look at Blade Runner (1982). Is it good that Deckard hunts down fugitive replicants? No. Absolutely not. Is it a compelling story? Yes! It’s beautifully told and tragic! If you make me watch Roy Batty’s monologue I will cry.
So. It is entirely possible that we are supposed to find the human characters unsympathetic. The Engineers created humanity, and then decided to destroy it. This could have been planned from the start–many religions describe cyclical, world-ending death and rebirth, after all. But this movie is heavily influenced by christianity. Those sects that believe in a destructive apocalypse call it the Last Judgment of humanity, something that occurs when the world has fallen into a state of corruption.
Which then brings us to the question: Does humanity deserve that most fatal judgment?
I mean, in real life, I’d say no, absolutely fucking not. The problem of a suffering world is not sanely responded to with “I’ve got a solution: murder everything”.
This is fiction, though. We are being presented with a vision of humanity. This has the potential to be a counterpoint to the Engineers’ thinking, or their evidence, or a mix of both.
What is it, then? Most of the cast are morons, selfish, or featureless ciphers. They are a very pessimistic view of humanity. And remember, this is fiction. People don’t need to act like real people. When you think about redeeming qualities in yourself, in your friends, in your favorite so-and-so, this fictional realm does not necessarily contain them. In its barest form, it only contains the characters we see.
We’ve got Janek, who’s been charming and indicated he’s willing to stop the Engineers here, but that’s all we know about him. He’s also behaved in negligent ways that contributed to the deaths of Millburn, Fifield, and the nameless guys mutant Fifield wailed on. Christian morality is big on redemption as a path to unconditional absolution, so is he redeeming himself through a last-minute sobering up? Maybe. I’d note he’s missing the “confession” and “recanting past sins” parts that are usually bundled up with that.
We’ve also got Shaw. Shaw has all the makings of a Final Girl, somebody who is destined to survive the plot. They usually have some redeeming quality that makes you want to root for them. What does Shaw have?
Well, she’s got a never super-defined strain of christian faith. And she’s had a really shit time lately, so it would be cruel to watch her get kicked around more.
So, that’s two. Two could be enough in Abrahamic religions–Lot flees from Sodom to Zoar, and it’s spared from destruction because of his presence. Sure, he does some Weird Shit, but he qualified as righteous by whatever standards were at play there. But Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for want of ten righteous people.
And all that gets more complicated in New Testament stuff, after God’s pinky promised not to destroy everyone again, except for the aforementioned Last Judgment thing. Is this movie, as christian allegory, advocating for a god of forgiveness, or depicting a just god who punishes the wicked?
No idea. It doesn’t have to be clear, obviously, fiction doesn’t have to be clear, any more than it has to be moral. I didn’t personally want the Engineer to sail off and destroy Earth, but frankly, I could see it from that perspective, given what this poor bugger’s met with upon waking up.
Next time: our Engineer wakes up from a two thousand year trauma nap to find some little monkeys yelling at them. Surely, this will go well.

The Dead Man
Wanna Read More or start from the beginning: Hallows Academy Masterlist @karaboutmyart @jj-pines @lerenee
“Attention: All students are invited to the first séance in the dormitory today, Friday, September 8th, at 16:00. It will be taking place in the storage room off the common area on the third floor (Hall Romanov). Again, all students are invited to join. There will be pizza afterward.”
-Euphrasie Head of Student Residency
Amora and Loki walked up the stairs of the dorms, the American girl’s heeled flats clicking against the steps as she walked up to the third floor.
“Do you think it will be a success?” Loki asked looking over her shoulder.
“Hard to say, it depends on what you believe in,” Amora answered, following behind her, “I like to believe that ghosts are real so something like the séance could work. Do you believe in ghosts, Loki?”
“I do,” Loki replied softly, “Do you?”
“I feel like I have to,” Amora began as they reached the 3rd floor, “I mean with all the fae and creatures that wonder about in our everyday life, I feel like it would only make sense for ghosts to exist.”
“Why do you say that?”
“I mean if something that is so inherently magical and whimsical exists, couldn’t be possible that something that is so inherently supernatural and paranormal exists as well? It would be odd to have one without the other if the two are synonymous of each other,” Amora explained.
“You can Luther would be fit to have conversations for hours with the way you are thinking,” Loki commented as they reached the setting area on the third floor.
“What about me?” Luther perked up, from one of the couches after Loki said his name.
He sat on one of the beige couches watching Lance and Odysseus play a round of Mario Cart on the TV in the living space. The larger brother looked over the couch to look at his sister over the bridge of his glasses, “What have I done now?”
“I wasn’t saying anything bad,” Loki scoffed, “We were just talking about whether ghosts existed or not and Amora was getting very philosophical.”
“Will I mean the existence of ghosts is based on personal opinion, but it wouldn’t be impossible for ghosts to exist given that they are very magical—”
“Brother Bear, as much as I love you, I don’t wanna have this conversation with you, it will make my brain hurt,” Loki remarked, leaning against the couch.
“Who’s winning,” Amora asked softly, as she rounded to be closer to Odysseus and Lance as they sat in the middle of the 3 large couches that were all in a U-shape, facing the flat-screen TV.
“Odis,” Lance muttered.
“Technically it’s someone named Maverick, from Marquis Island,” Odysseus replied, “but right here in this room, it’s me!”
“Odysseus, does everyone call you Odis?” Amora asked.
“No, Only the Holloway siblings call me Odis.” He answered, “I don’t even know why they do.”
“Odysseus Odis,” Luther commented, moving his hands as if to put the two names into columns. “Sound similar.”
“SWEET WE’RE PLAYING MARIO CART!” A boyish voice exclaimed before an olive-skinned blonde male vaulted over one of the couches and landed beside Odysseus giving him a little nudge, “You should have told me, dude, so I could take you down a peg!”
“Solomon you were studying,” Odysseus chuckled.
“Honestly, Mario Cart is more important than studying for my Forensic Science class,” Solomon scoffed before looking order at Amora, “Hi, I’m Solomon.”
“Amora,” she replied, sitting down on one of the couches while Loki sat on the arm next to her. She remembers Loki vaguely talking about Solomon. Her British roommate said he was friendly, but he can be a bit of a jerk when his best friend is around.
Euphrasie soon arrived with pizzas and all the items she would need for a séance, after Calliope joined the group around the TV, sitting quietly and keeping to herself. Euphrasie waited a few moments for a few more students to arrive like Iphigenie, before beginning.
“Thank you for coming, for the first-ever séance at Hallows Academy,” Euphrasie began, “we are going to take this box of séance items to the storage room then we are going to try and talk with ghost.”
“Euphrasie, I love you, but I only came to get some pizza before I went to work,” Iphigenie remarked, stealing a slice of pizza from one of the boxes.
“That’s fine don’t work too hard,” Euphrasie replied, before grabbing her box and heading to the storage room with her peers following her.
“Isn’t it a little late for that?” Luther asked as she walked by.
“One of the closers got sick during their shift and I was asked to help close,” Iphigenie answered.
“Want me to come so you don’t have to do all the walking alone?” Luther inquired, as Cassiopeia made it to the 3rd floor while a chocolatey red-haired dude had his arm around her shoulder.
“No, it’s alright,” she replied, “Thanks for the offer though.”
The British boy nodded, as she turned to walk away, “Text or call me if you need any rescuing,” he added.
“Thanks, Luther,” Iphigenie replied before letting out a little “Excuse me.” While passing Cassiopeia and the boy she was on the arm of.
“Get rejected, Luther?” The boy laughed.
“Roux,” Luther sighed, clenching his fist while having to urge to punch Roux in his pretty football player's face, “Screw off,” he muttered before being the bigger man and walking away.
“Hey, Roux!” Solomon interjected, “You going to join us in the séance?”
“That sounds stupid,” Roux scoffed.
“I thought it sounded like fun,” Solomon muttered a frown forming on his face.
“Dude, I don’t care what you do, but it sounds so stupid, especially since ghosts aren’t really,” Roux retorted.
“Stick around and maybe you will change your mind!” Euphrasie exclaimed, poking her head out of the storage room as Luther entered.
Roux looked to Cassiopeia who had only stood beside him in silence while her boyfriend had his little exchanges, “What do you wanna do?”
Cassiopeia shrugged, “What would it hurt, ghosts aren’t real, right.”
“You guys coming or not!” Euphrasie shouted.
“Yes, Euphrasie, Jesus!” Roux huffed, entering the storage room with Cassiopeia.
“Who is that again?” Amora asked Loki quietly, while Euphrasie began setting up the séance.
“Roux,” the British teen muttered in a disgusted tone, “If you do anything I advise, let it be staying away from him.”
“He can be nice,” Calliope whispered, from her place beside Amora, “sometimes.”
“Calliope, he’s only nice to you because you are Cassiopeia's sister,” Loki mumbled.
Amora looked over at Cassiopeia, ever since their first meeting anytime Amora as seen the girl always in red, the cheerleader has held a resting bitch face, but now, when she is cuddled up to Roux, she looks so small against his large frame and so miserable. Yet, every time Roux’s at her, he looks at her with a loving gaze, and she only smiles one of those smiles that is clearly fake, although Roux seems to not notice.
“She’s unhappy,” Amora commented to herself, out loud.
“What?” Loki asked as Euphrasie finished setting up the séance, with the Ouija board in the middle of the group of students, surrounded by candles.
“It’s nothing,” Amora replied.
Euphrasie cleared her throat before beginning to speak, “Oh spirits of Hallows Academy, we all come to speak to you today within this storage room. If you wish to speak with us, give us a sign.”
There is a large moment of silence, teenagers all looking at each other, as if nothing happened, “You could like… knock something down… maybe blow out one of the candles,” Euphrasie muttered.
After Euphrasie spoke something fell in the corner of the storage room making almost everyone jump, then look at all the séance items in the middle of the circle they formed.
“C-could you blow out the tallest candle?” The dorm resident asked.
The tallest candle’s flame is then extinguished, making the students gasp. The sounds of whispers filled the room, voices layered over each other talking all at once in shushed tones around the teenagers, yet it seemed like Amora was the only one who could hear all the noise.
The overlaying vibrations made her head hurt, “Amora?” Calliope asked, seeing the American girl's discomfort as everyone else was focused on the ghostly happenings in the center of the circle.
Loki looked over at her roommate seeing her with her head in her hands and her eyes shut tight, “Lovely?”
The overlapping voices continued to get louder as Amora’s head continued to throb in pain. She then looked up for whatever reason seeing the blurry silhouette of some individual standing in front of her.
The silhouette then approached Amora, standing right in front of her, along with the overlapping voice which continued to get louder and louder accompanied by a buzzing sound.
“Do you all not hear the buzzing?” Amora mumbled, unable to properly focus on anything.
“Amora? What’s wrong?” Loki asked concerned.
She can’t hear Loki, however, as the voice around her and the buzzing is so loud Amora felt as if her whole body was vibrating. With squinted eyes Amora watched the blurry silhouette reach out to her with one of their fingers, pressing the tip of their extremity into the center of her forehead.
The American teenager is then on the floor, unconscious.
“Amora!” Calliope gasped, while Loki immediately fell to her knees, to help her roommate.
Everyone’s attention is on Amora and by proxy Loki, “What happened?” Euphrasie gasped.
“I-I don’t know,” Loki stammered out, pulling Amora into her arms, “She just collapsed!”
“It’s the ghost!” a random student shrieked.
“Dude, shut the hell up,” Solomon scoffed, “Is she alright?”
Luther made his way over to his sister, taking Amora from Loki’s arms and picking her up and off the floor.
“Do you know if she ate anything today?” Odysseus asked.
“Maybe she’s dehydrated,” Lance added.
“I’ll call the Nurse’s office and tell them you’re coming,” Euphrasie remarked pulling out their phone.
Loki and Luther left the storage room, heading to the Nurse’s Office in the main building, where Amora stayed well into the night. While in between the land of being awake and in slumber, it feels like she is being watched. Once she was out of the land of sleep, she opened her eyes, face with a man.
With dark burgundy-brown hair, dusty pink skin, and heterochromatic eyes staring down at the blonde girl, left eye purple right eye pink. He had a tea-green glow to his whole body as he floated above her as she lay in bed.
Amora looked at him with wide eyes before he gasped, “You can see me!” The man remarked.
Her eyes got even wider, as the floating man above her put his hand up, “Please don’t start screaming!”
She obviously started screaming, which woke up Loki who was sleeping in a chair, “Amora! What’s the matter!” Loki exclaimed, coming to her side.
“DO YOU NOT SEE THE MAN FLOATING IN THE AIR!”
Loki paused and blinked, looking in the direction that Amora was pointing in as she screamed, “Lovely, it’s a dream, breathe.”
Amora stopped screaming, huffing out breaths and staring down the name as she snickered in the corner, “Go back to sleep, yeah, you’ll be better in the morning,” Loki remarked, affectionately rubbing up and down the blonde’s arms.
All she did was nod, sinking back into the bed she was in, as Loki took her place in the chair next to her, she could feel eyes on her. Not Loki’s, no she’s kind enough not to intentionally stare. No, it’s the eyes of that man, covered in a green mist, staring at her from the corner of the room.
And he continues to linger the next day, from the moment Amora woke, to being let out of the nurse’s office, to getting back to the dorm, he’s there with his 5’10 stature to the way he floats behind Amora at a good distance. He is just there, and the fact that it seems that she is the only one who can see him, Amora can only believe she is going insane, and she’s only been at Hallows Academy for a week.
“Gah,” Loki sighed, looking at her phone, “Lance wants me to come to his dorm.”
“Go, I’ll be fine,” Amora muttered while sitting in her bed.
Loki stood up from her bed, fidgeting a bit, “If you need anything text me okay.”
Amora nodded, before watching her leave their room hesitantly. Once alone, Amora pulled out her laptop and typed into the search bar: seeing people that other people can’t see.
Multiple articles, and definitions of hallucinations along with what could cause them waterfalled on her internet browser, “Chickadee, this isn’t a hallucination,” the man stated, “Put in Cobalt Thornton.”
“How do you spell all that?” She asked, before shaking her head.
“C-O-B-A-L-T T-H-O-R-N-T-O-N.”
When typing the name into the search bar, the top result was an obituary and an article from 15 years ago.
Tragedy Has Befallen Solostica: Hallows Teacher Found Dead
Solostica News Channel One Editor: Suzette Levi Writer: Nicolette Heri-Louis
Found deceased in his small home, on March 23rd, in the early morning, Cobalt Thornton, a Pre-Calculus teacher at Hallows Academy and a Solostian born and raised. Known as Mr. Thornton by all his students and Mister Blue by close friends and family. Respected for his passion for the field of mathematics, and tolerated for his stubbornness, it is shocking to find out that a well-respected man, who seemingly has no enemies, had been murdered.
Thornton’s death is undetermined as of this report. This case is a top priority according to law enforcement, Although Thornton’s wife, Primrose, stated at the funeral:
“The only thing that the sergeants have told me was that he couldn’t be cremated. Cobalt wanted to be cremated, that was his only wish! They won’t update me on his case, I don’t know how he died, but it must be made sure that he can’t be cremated, they're a joke!”
Cobalt Thornton is survived by his wife Primrose Mero-Thornton and his daughter, He was buried in Solostica Grand Church, yesterday, March 26th.
If you have any information about the death of Cobalt Thornton, contact Solostica Detective Matias Prescott at 020 9734 2648 or ask for him at the Solostica Supervise Office.
Below the article is a picture, of the same man that was now haunting her, yet less green, “So what? You’re a ghost?” Amora scoffed, looking over her shoulder at the ghostly man floating next to her.
“You honestly believe I am a figment?!”
“I am center I don’t believe you are actually a ghost, that you are actually haunting me!” Amora fought back.
Cobalt sighed, moving to the door, “There are plenty of old yearbooks around this campus, so why not go find one from before I died,” Cobalt suggested motioning to the door.
Amora sighed, staring at the article open on her laptop screen and then at the back at the ghostly man at her door, “Your little friend in orange might be able to help you,” Cobalt commented.
The American girl sighed, getting out her bed and heading out to find Euphrasie. Remembering that their room was on the 3rd floor, she made her way to Hall Romanov, knocking lightly on Euphrasie’s door where she could hear whispering before the door opened.
“Oh hey, Amora, how are you feeling?” Eurphrasie asked.
“I’m okay… I guess,” Amora replied, “I actually wanted to know if there were any old yearbooks I could look at.”
“How old we talking?”
“15 years or older,” Amora answered.
“Uh… Oh yeah! There are a few in the entertainment center from around that time… I think,” Euphrasie replied, “Come on I’ll help you look.”
“Thanks.”
The two seniors walked to the setting area in the 3rd hall, devoid of people now in time in the day.
“Why do you want to look at old yearbooks?” Euphrasie asked, opening the entertainment system shelving units.
“Something for my history class,” Amora answered, as the dorm resident pulled out a few yearbooks.
“Nice save, chickadee,” Cobalt noted, from his ethereal place around her.
“Thanks,” Amora muttered after Euphrasie handed her the small stack of yearbooks.
“If you need to borrow some just send me pics of the news you take so I know where they’re at,” Euphrasie stated.
“Got it.”
“Have fun,” Euphrasie chirped before heading back to her dorm room.
The chipper student had handed Amora some older yearbooks, that didn’t have Cobalt in them, as the pages were in black and white and from over 50 years ago. The last one she looked at was one from exactly 15 years ago, and thankfully in color flipping to the staff page and looking in the T’s their Cobalt sits, looking like the ghostly man that is sitting next to her, albeit less green. Even after finding him in the staff pages, Amora continues to flip through the yearbook, discovering a memorial page in the back of the yearbook dedicated to Cobalt.
“You’re actually dead,” Amora gasped.
Cobalt chuckled, with his legs crossed as he sat on the sofa across from her, his head tilted as his cheek rested against his fist, “I have no reason to lie about my mortality.”
Amora huffed, taking the yearbook she had in her lap with her back to her dorm room after putting the others away. She spent the next few hours at her desk, searching the web for answers about ghostly hauntings while making small talk with Cobalt.
“Okay! It says here that ghosts haunt those on the moral plain to so to curve boredom, and they are still on the moral plain because something is preventing them from ascending to the afterlife,” Amora explained.
“Ah, I have unfinished business,” Cobalt remarked, “…Yet I don’t remember what I would have left unfinished besides my entire life!”
“Mhm… do you remember how you died?” Amora inquired.
Cobalt thought for a moment standing in the middle of Amora’s dorm room, “I… don’t remember…”
“Someone says that if you help a ghost figure out how they died or tell them how they died this may help them ascend,” Amora read aloud.
“That sounds like a plan to get me out of your hair and free of this school, but how do we do that?” Cobalt pondered.
“Solomon,” Amora mumbled.
“Solomon?”
“He’s a classmate, he said yesterday he was studying Forensic Science.”
Amora got up from her desk and headed out of her dorm room if she could correctly remember Odysseus and Solomon were roommates, if she just went back upstairs hopefully, he would be there.
“Hi! Anore!”
Maybe she didn’t have to go back upstairs, as when she got to the stairwell, she heard Solomon’s voice yell something that sounded like her name behind her. When she turned around Solomon began to approach her, dressed in a nice dark suit.
“My name is Amora, but hi,” she said.”
“Ha… My bad, I know it was something like that, but I wanted to know if you were okay, ya’ know after yesterday.”
She looked at him confused which made him frown, from what Loki said and the fact that she didn’t know him why is so concerned? “Hey, don’t look at me like that!” He whined, “You went down yesterday like out of nowhere!”
“We barely know each other.”
“I can still be concerned! That’s a normal human emotion!” Solomon retorted.
“Well thank you, but I’m fine,” Amora articulated.
“Sweet!”
Solomon was about to ascend the stairs before Amora stopped, “I need to ask you something.”
“Okay, shoot!”
“How could I find out someone died?” She asked.
“Well, if it's someone recent the funeral home would have the records, my uncle owns the funeral on the island, I can look up whoever you need next time he needs my help,” Solomon answered.
“What if it’s someone older?”
“Mhm… the coroner's office might… can I ask why?” Solomon expressed.
Amora thought for a second, “It’s for one of my classes, I need to do a report on someone who died on the island, and the person I can’t find a cause of death online. I was wondering if I could find it from somewhere in town.”
“If it's someone from a long time ago, it should be recorded at the coroner’s office because that guy doesn’t get rid of anything, but he’s on vacation until next month… sorry, you may just have to say the death was undeterred in your paper.”
“Damn, okay thanks anyway Solomon,” Amora sighed.
“Glad I could help.”
Amora mopped back to her dorm, defeated, flopping onto her bed, unaware that Loki was in her own bed, “Overexert yourself?” she asked.
“No,” the American girl groaned.
“What’s wrong?”
“There is this thing I need, and the place I need to get it is going to be closed for the next month,” the blonde griped into her pillow.
Loki chuckled, “You could steal it… just break in and steal it,” she joked.
Amora lifted her head out of her pillow, looking over at Loki seeing her sit in her bed, her headphones around her neck as she read Shiley Jackson’s We Have Always Lived in the Castle.
Amora giggled at the thought. Her in her coquette fashions breaking into the coroner’s office just to get the records on the weird-ass ghost that keeps floating around her. She had only been at Hallows Academy for a week, and she’d not only been bullied and housed with Loki but been touched by a spirit and now talking to a ghost.
Although it’s not a bad idea… breaking into the coroner’s office.
“Chickadee don’t even think about it,” Cobalt muttered, watching Amora look up the address for the coroner’s office while Loki was in the bathroom.
“Do you want to ascend or not?”
“It’s a nice thought but we can wait a month and just ask for my records.”
“We? Ha! There is no we can wait!” Amora exclaimed, before turning to look and point at him, “You can wait because you've been dead for the past 15 years, I thought I was hallucinating this morning, I would much rather have you gone sooner rather than later.”
Cobalt hummed, “Will, I’m tied to this campus, so if you are going to get into serious trouble, I can’t help you.”
“That’s fine,” Amora mumbled.
The plan: wake up early on Sunday morning, go to the train station and get on the first train which would be mostly empty, enjoy not having Cobalt waking you, go to the coroner’s office, find the back window (which would thankfully be to the records room) thanks to images online, and take a brick and throw it through the window praying that the place doesn’t have a security system.
One had made it to the window and had a brick ready in hand the next morning, she discovered the window was open slightly. With the brick now in the grass, Amora pushed open the window more so she could squeeze her body in.
Once in the small records room, she stood still and waited before she exhaled. Thankful that no security alarms were going off. “His last name is Thornton,” she muttered to herself, attempting to find the filing cabinet marked for the T’s.
Once she found the cabinet, she searched for what felt like hours for the last name Thornton, her eyes beginning to hurt from the light coming from her phone and having to look at such a tiny print.
Thornton C.
“FINALLY!” Amora exclaimed, before covering her mouth, pulling the file out of the cabinet, and shutting the drawer quietly.
She only wanted to take pictures and then put the file back and attempted to as she sat the file down and opened it, but before she could even snap one picture it sounded like footsteps were approaching the records room.
Not wanting to take her chances Amora closed the file and made a B-line for the window she came in, leaving it the way she found it before dashing toward the train station and heading back to campus.
Returning to her dorm room, Cobalt was the only present, “Glad to see you aren’t arrested,” he commented.
“Thanks for the concern,” Amora replied, “I got your file!”
She sat next to him on her bed flipping open his file, seeing a simple report listing information she already knew along with this suspect time of death, yet the one thing she searching for was the cause.
Cause of Death: Undetermined
“WHAT!” The two of them shouted.
Amora’s eyes continued to scan the document seeing a note at the bottom.
It is very possible that Thornton died of a heart attack, yet to do not feel confident in stating that as fact given his age and health history. So, his death will continue to be labeled as undetermined and his death will be labeled as murder.
Cobalt sighed as Amora groaned, “I’m sorry,” she mumbled before lying on her bed and facing the wall.
She pretty much stayed like that until the following day, mostly because she had class, giving a basic “I’m fine,” response whenever anyone, mostly Loki, asked if she was right.
Cobalt was ever-present following her through her classes, he doesn’t bother her, in terms of speaking or standing/floating near her, yet her knowing he’s around is a huge distraction for her.
When she entered her Trigonometry class she took a seat in the back next to Iphigenie greeting her with a small “hi,” before laying her head down on the table.
“I see you are very smart, I’m impressed,” Cobalt praised as the bell rang.
Amora groaned softly in response as her teacher began by greeting the class before getting started.
“…Lily…”
Cobalt's voice sounded much softer than Amora had heard in the past 2 days, he sounded so broken, so sad. Amora raised, looking at Cobalt and seeing him staring at her Trigonometry, before realizing that the two of them looked similar, with the color of their hair and eyes being identical.
If Amora was closer, she could probably tell that they had similar features, yet she is more focused on the fact that Cobalt got closer to her standing in front of her as she taught.
“My sweet little girl… you’re all grown up…And you are a mathematician!” Cobalt laughed, “My baby, I had no idea… Oh, Primrose must be so proud of you!”
He placed himself behind her desk, seeing all the nicknacks that littered her desk including pictures of herself and her mother, a woman with a darker complexion with graying violet hair, and chocolate eyes.
“Rosey… I’m sorry I left. I didn’t mean to… God, my girls, my beautiful girls. I hope you know I love you both so much, God, why did things happen like this? I wish I was actually here, with you, Bethy,” Cobalt lamented.
“Amora,” Iphigenie whispered nudging her shoulder making the American girl look over at her, “Are you okay?”
“Uh?” Amora asked quietly.
“Amora, are you crying?” Iphigenie questioned.
Amora touched her cheek, damp and covered in her tears, no doubt caused by the dead man in front of her lamenting to his daughter as if no one could hear him.
“M-my,” she stuttered out with a frog in her throat, “My eyes are just watering bad.”
Iphigenie is smart enough to know that the girl next to her is lying, but if Amora wants to lie, why not let her?
It’s going to be a living hell if this continues… This is linked to Cobalt. It’s not only strange just having him around, but Amora can’t just leave, she was coming around, slowly coming to like being a Hallows Academy, and now she’s a physic! This is like a waking nightmare, and it is going to continue to extensive agony if Amora continues to force Cobalt to watch his daughter teach every time she’s got Trigonometry while he stands in his purgatory.
She’s got to help ascend… it is the right thing to do.
What could go wrong? She just has to figure out how he died, right?

There aren't a lot of reincarnating klance fic to choose from so i will make some ideals myself (•́⌄•́๑)૭✧
In this world there are four type of people with four abilities.
The first one is the ability to bend elements or cast spell ,they are called sorcerer each person can bend one element.(only the worthy one can bend more than one and one with the most ability is water bender : not only can they bend water they can also bend clouds, ice, blood, spirits and healing )
The second one is the ability to transfer mana to their weapons.the are called warrior
The third one is ones that dont have any abilities
The last one is the saint who can heal people can heal messages from god.
This is Lance Deangelo Mcclain second life, he is the duke's youngest son with the power to bend water, in his previous he was Keith's (Solomon Kogane) rival. Keith is the result of an affair between Krolia Holloway kogane and a villager name ken. Keith was a lone wolf, who was scared by nearly everyone because of his power : the ability to control fire and transfer his mana into his weapons. To be honest lance was the only student beside Lotor Damon Daizara to ever talked to keith.
He would alway try to compete with keith, never leaving him alone, they even ended up loving the same girl who is a commonar that was chosen to be the saint althought she hasn't have any power yet but with a kind heart . He later found out that ....(oc's name) have three other suitors as well. Heartbreak lance stand down and met another man name Ryan Fletcher kinkade (his new best friend) but both got killed by none other than keith, who was control by someone (but lance didn't know this). So in this life he decided that his and ryan's dead was all because of keith so he quits being his rival and avoid him. He meet ryan again and finds out he also remember his past life (and his feelings for lance).
Keith is quit sock that mcclain stopped talking to him, inviting him to some stupid competitions, and avoid him. It was peaceful at first but soon he got lonely because mcclain was one of the only peoples who doesn't treated him like shit when talking to him. True mcclain is..well was his rival but lance respected him, treated him like his equal, he never insult keith other than his hair and doesn't talk about keith's father infront of him. He invited lance to competitions himself but got rejected because lance was hanging out with his other friend Tsuyoshi Aurelie Garrett , Darrell Stoker Katie Holt and the new transfer student name ryan fletcher kinkade or just making excuses to avoid keith. There a rumor that lance and kinkade( like what kind of last name is kinkade ? ) is dating because of their interactions toward eachother (come on!!! ryance ? What kind of ship name is that ? Klance is so much better ). Another rumor that a commonar girl have been chosen to be the saint, who is studying at this school like keith (so ? Like he care about some stupid saint. His main priority now is how to make lance notice him again, like thing used to or maybe be his friend and how manly children would they have)
He thought that lance would never even look at him again and he will die in loneliness but one night he found LANCE IN HIS BED DRUNK AND HALF NAKED(IS GOD TRYING TO TELL HIM SOMTHING....? OR IS THIS WHAT SHIRO MEAN BY PATIENCE YIELDS FOCUS..?) and should he go for it ?

Here Lies my Legacy Save.
Computer died, lost years of play, and so the records I was keeping are now done being collected and are now simply kept.
I WAS renaming my sims by generation because I couldn't tell who was what generation in gameplay and it made it weird when they had the same childhood crush as their children. So the first generation was A-named, next was B, etc.
I did rename some of them funky, I didn't rename others, and some I tried to rename but failed because I couldn't get the names to stick.
All of Gen C were born to played Sims.
Last/family names were mixed from the parents, whose were mixed from their parents. Manning and Falcon became Falman, and when Falman and Blackburn got together, they became Falburn.
When two of the same names have babies (usually because sibling affairs with in-laws), I mixed it up. Once, it was a lady who seduced a mother and son, so Beckman plus Scales became Scaleman and Beckscales. I tend to keep it at 1-5 syllables at most, generally 2, so it's not too messy, but I definitely start losing great grandparent names.
The 'official' records are: Snapshots, where I recap a household at time of switching families and Eulogies, where I recap a Sim's lifetime after their deaths.
Families always went Teen Daughter, Child Son in the beginning. I tried to go by household, but it turns out that those constantly change in ways that don't record well. ^ ^;
Due to length and link issues, I will likely be making a second page for Table of Contents. The links on this page are Eulogies
In only some order, my Save started with...
The Pancakes Family - married pair Bob and Eliza
The Whitfield Family - Craig, Dana, and their children Katherin and Stetson
The Angel Family - Lance, Ellie, and their children Danika and Waylon
The Overton Family - Jennifer and Maddox
The Cullen Family - Anna and her son Valentino
The Pike Family - Gabrielle and Rory, and their children Shawn and Jordan
The York Family - Cleo, and her children Ahmad and Fatima
The Pace Family - Katrina, and her children Kristina and Jefferson
The Scales Family - Shieu, and her children Janice and Dawson
The Holloway Family - Susan, and her children Evageline and Barry
The Brice Family - Chad and Nadine, and their son Walton
The Spencer-Kim-Lewis-Davis Family - Grandparents Dennis and Lydia, Parents Alice and Eric, and child Olivia
The Helton Family - Teens Dillon and Fernanda, and their grandparents who died early
The Pfeiffer Family - Genevieve and her children Benjamin, and Heven
The Blackburn Family - Husband and Wife couple, Annabelle and Bill
The McFarland Family - An old man and his unofficially adopted son, Javier
The Landgrabb Family - married couple Nancy and Geoffrey and YA son Malcolm
The Banks Family - Ayden, Krysten, and their children Lillian and Alan
The Walters Family - Husband and Wife whose names were lost by the game
The Caruso Family - Single Mother whose name was eaten by the game and her son Judah
The Merrill Family - Annie and her child Belmont
Individuals who didn't start as family but ended up paired
Imani Falcon - a sim I made in CAS to pair with someone
Colleen Manning - a townie Imani fell for instead
Lisa Moore - A townie I put into the Overtons to help raise Maddox
Jessie Boston - A townie Alien who lived with Colleen and Imani
Kian Padgett - a townie alien who lived with Jessie, Colleen, and Imani
Tiffani Hobson - a townie who Kian impregnated
Tatum Nixon - a townie that married (b) India Pancakes
Elsa Harms - an Alien who had a baby with Freddie Knapp
Freddie Knapp - A business man who hated kids but liked making them.
NPCs (not playing to death; leaving in the game) - Jana Puckett - A-gen - Mother of several and a high ranking surgeon - Sera Cerda - A-gen - A journalist and socialite
-Fatima York and Janice Scales - B gen - Hate Children and ran away to run a bakery
-Bianca Pancakes - B-gen - A womanizing Police Chief
Special Mention goes to townie Ariella Petty for Gino Pettyburn
Special Mention to townie Ava Tinsley for Ashlynn Puckley
Special Mention also goes to the hiccup with MCCC settings, resulting in Elaina Vatore, as resulting from Lilith and [I changed the game stuff so I can't see the other parent] and Justice Straus, child of Eden Ho and Vladislaus.
~~
Since I'm only linking eulogies, I can't link to anyone not dead/decommissioned yet. Will update as I can.

Oh my, these are dire news indeed. Had it been in our power, we would come rushing to your aid with chassis and lance, but alas the vastness of space separates us. All we can do is send our best wishes to you and your Petrel, and hope that this crisis resolves without casualties. Please send Petrel Kuhei our warmest regards and prayers, and our firm belief that this too shall pass. Once peace is restored, we would likewise be delighted to make his acquaintance.
Also, some time following this message, you should receive a case of Ispahsalari wine courtesy of our Petrel Holloway, who decided to share part of her private reserve in an extremely uncharacteristic act of friendship and kindness. When the matter at hand passes, we hope you will have time to enjoy it.
May your charge be swift and your swords swifter, and may talk of happier things some day soon.
-Petrel Roland Levi
Greetings to our friends at Erdaf! It is great to see other Maktebas have already made a presence here. Seeing as there's usually very few chances for us to keep in touch, I thought it'd be nice to check in and say hello. How are you all doing, and how have things been running this blog?
Eagerly awaiting your reply, but please do take your time,
Young Petrel Roland Levi, callsign "Bright Star", of Makteba Karda (semi-loyal-wing)
Greetings to you of Makteba Karda in turn.
Alas that I cannot share more happy news, a ghost from one of my petrel's past has returned to haunt us, it seems. I took his measure when last we fought. He does not seem the type to issue idle threats, so another confrontation with him and his pirate lackeys seems likely. I am confident we can foil whatever he plans and defeat him once again, for there is perhaps nowhere safer than Makteba Erdaf for those in need of refuge. Still, this looming presence is a weight upon all of us, Petrel Kuhnei most especially, and he has asked that others maintain this blog for some time. I think he would like to speak with you, once this is all over.
Oh, and something seems to be brewing on the headquarters of the CORSAIR Mercenary Company.
Our thanks for reaching out, it is good to hear from our distant kinfolk.
-Loyal Wing Catrin Cavazos

It’s the same actor who plays Cuttie in both the movie and the series. If you notice, he asks Trish, “What that loan do?” His name is Lance Holloway, he’s a producer and a writer as well. Check him out.
