Happy tenth birthday, Léonie! Joyeux anniversaire!

Léonie was born on June 24th, which is also La fête Nationale du Québec. Her mother tells her she was welcomed by the sound of fireworks, and has never stopped sparkling since!

Yesterday the Bélanger-Leblanc family had a backyard celebratikon, and invited Léonie's friends and their families too. Her sophisticated pink necklace and hair flower were gifts from her grand-maman Bélanger.

For her guests, she is serving pink birthday cake, watermelon slices, and cherry tarts made with fresh cherries. Pink and red are Léonie's favorite colors, obviously!

Léonie is a Maplelea doll. She is wearing clothing mostly from her collection; the shirt and skirt are from her La Vie est Belle outfit, her jeans are from her Cirque du Monde outfit, and her shoes are the All Season Boots. I made her pink rose necklace.

Playing with survival mods & spell research is making me understand Skyrim bandits and assorted mages holed up in caves and shit so much more. Today I cleared a cave that had some animals in it (food!), already had a cookfire (heat!), and a nice little brook running through it (water source! Place to bathe!) and I was like aww yiss five stars accommodations. Gonna hole up here for a few weeks and shoot anyone who tries to interrupt

Joseph becomes obsessed with Michèle after she is the reason for him losing his eye. But, instead of hating her in the way he expected, he is beyond attracted to her. She won't leave his mind no matter what he does. And as he witnesses her begin her journey of figuring out sexual pleasure, he is happy to insert himself and help her out.

Michèle is drawn to Descamps, has been since the moment she saw him. He is tall and broad and once he has the eyepatch on, his attractiveness becomes exponentially more. With being around so many boys, something about her has changed and she doesn't know how to describe it other than feeling hot all of the time. And, one boy in particular makes her feel like she is burning: Descamps. When he offers to help her discover what true pleasure is despite their past, she can't deny him.

Léonie Belanger-Leblanc is a dear little friend and a girl after my own heart. She understands the spirit of adventure. She's always ready to explore the unknown; to see what's around the riverbend, what's behind the mountaintop, and what's over the horizon. Her curiosity about the natural world is never fully satisfied, because there's always more to discover.... just beyond.

Léonie observes the world around her and listens to the stories it tells her. She's ever willing and excited to learn more.

I don't live in Canada like Léonie, but I appreciate the love she has for Canadian culture and geography, just like all Maplelea girls do. And I'm glad Maplelea exists as a counterpart to American Girl. Often it seems that American culture dominates every aspect of life even outside of the United States, so it's good to know that Canadian kids have dolls and toys to reflect their own lives and cultural experiences.

I've explored this particular canyon many times before, but it changes so much through the seasons that there's always something new and unexpected to see. In winter it's often snowy and the creek is icy. In spring it's muddy and the trees are turning green. In early summer it's shady and lush, and in late summer the creek is full of monsoon rain. In autumn the oaks and willows show beautiful colors.

It was especially fun to see it through Léonie's eyes. For children, ordinary things are new and exciting.

When Léonie gets bundled up into her warmest clothes, nothing can stop her from an adventure. The snow is perfect for snowshoeing, and she has me check the ice to make sure it was safe to be on it. She usually prefers to play hockey when the creek freezes, but today she's just happy to skate.

Léonie's outfit, like Léonie herself, is Maplelea brand. Her ice skates are American Girl and her snowshoes are Our Generation.

I love jade, and I do really hope she got someone that truly like her too. but léonie seems super sweet and kind to maël, I hate seeing every show out there always try to throw someone new to make the original couple break up 😔
