PULGASARI (1985)
The North Korean kaiju film produced by Kim Jong Il (before he became dictator of North Korea, and father of current dictator Kim Jong Un), directed by a kidnapped South Korean filmmaker, and featuring Godzilla suit actor Kenpachiro Satsuma as the monstrous Pulgasari.
Additionally, some Toho special effects technicians, most notably Teruyoshi Nakano, were duped into making the film. They were led to believe they were going to China for a project.
Pulgasari is a remake of sorts of Bulgasari (1962), South Korea's first kaiju film which is now considered lost. Both films were based on the same Korean myth about a giant iron-eating monster.

Last night, I went to the Power Ranger Kamen Rider Music Live Concert in Seoul. It was made up of the Korean voice actors who did the Korean dub for the various series. They did an amazing job, and it was a lot of fun.

Do you think Hideaki Anno is right-wing or is it too difficult to tell from his works?
Haha that's a question.
I'll focus on nationalism rather than trying to get into, say, gender politics here, since that's the accusation that most seems to follow Anno around.
Anno's politics are... hard to pin down from his work alone, I think. He's like... a prototypical case of that generation of 'apolitical' otaku that followed after the Anpo generation, with Eva pretty much the definitive statement of the 90s psychological turn. But that said... I can definitely see the argument that there are nationalist themes in some of his works like Gunbuster, though I definitely don't buy every reading in this series (lots of dubious kanji reading). He definitely has that otaku fascination with war machinery and war media (apparently he's a big fan of The Battle for Okinawa and watched it over 100 times), which can easily blend into imperialist ideology.
But there's complications here. For example, the Animekritik series cites the setting of Gunbuster in Okinawa as something formative to the nationalist ideology they are trying to illustrate - in part in relation to the ongoing controversy over American military bases in Okinawa. Anno has at least been on record as saying he's disinterested in Western culture, and I can see the reading of Jung-Freud as an external Other who is shown up by the Japanese girls, somehow simultaneously representing the USSR, Europe and the States. But anti-Americanism in Japan can come in both left and right wing flavours (c.f. Anpo). Communists want the Americans out too! Portraying Okinawa as a military training camp in a Japan-led military coalition certainly comes across as a more nationalist take on that whole matter, but I feel like it's got about the same level of serious nationalist commitment as Doctor Who putting random British people all over space.
When Gainax has played around with nationalist imagery it's usually been in a kind of ironic sendup way - see Ash's writeup about the Aikoku Sentai Dai Nippon controversy, in which Daicon Film staff were disdainful at the accusation that their goofy toku film reflected a genuine nationalist sentiment. While Imaishi takes it further, a lot of Anno's work is also about playfully reappropriating past works. In Anno's case a lot of that is classic tokusatsu, Ultraman in particular, and also Leiji Matsumoto's scifi, notably Space Battleship Yamato, which, well... you know the deal there lol. But it's not so simple to go from that to 'Anno is a nationalist'.
Eva doesn't tend to attract these accusations, but I recall the controversy came back around with Shin Godzilla, though to my mind it's hard to find a straightforwardly nationalist reading of that movie. (It's a film about the experience of the earthquake and Fukushima nuclear plant meltdown, and it's critical of Japan's bureaucracy, but equally one where the JSDF repeatedly get their shit handed to them and civilian infrastructure is what actually stops Godzilla - not to mention Godzilla is painted as quite a tragic figure here!) It all feels pretty tenuous.
I haven't seen as many of Anno's live action films as I'd like, so I can't comment as much on the more recent Shin films, Love & Pop, Shiki-Jitsu etc. And it's always possible for subtler allusions to slip by the anglophone viewer. Still, I don't personally think Anno's post-Gunbuster work is particularly nationalist in outlook. I certainly haven't seen any evidence of him favouring, say, war crime denial, anti-Korean sentiment, remilitarisation, etc etc. - he's definitely not as dubious a figure as someone like Hajime Isayama. But it's not like, anti-nationalist either! It's just kind of hard to read in those terms.
So I lean towards your second option, I'm not convinced he's a nationalist or particularly right wing. He happily associates with Hayao Miyazaki, who's definitely not a right wing guy. But Anno'll also let hilariously cooked stuff like whatever On A Gloomy Night was supposed to be into the Animator Expo. So I don't think he's particularly left wing either, he's no Ikuni! But Anno's fiction is very individual focused, full of psychoanalytic themes and internal conflict. He can vividly portray trauma and complex power dynamics. There's a lot to appreciate in works like Eva from a left-wing angle. I don't really know why this association of nationalism follows him around.
Idk, maybe there's a bunch of interviews I'm missing! Presumably you have a reason for asking this question...

And the omori charecters are cannon to the malefactor malfunction au cuz why the fuck not
The springlock animatronics (fredbear, spring Bonnie, and Alastair)
Villains for malefactor malfunction can be found here
How the AU’s work
Each au has four version (book style in which it falls into silver eye’s continuity, game style in which it falls into game continuity, movie style in which it falls into movie continuity, and amalgam style in which it combines all three continuity’s into one)
In xanthophobia Cassidy is the villain (William afton die’s extremely soon in the AU and for once in his life never comes back)
So in my most of my AU’s the souls are able to grow old despit not being alive which explains any shipping you might see. Most of it isn’t my doing though
Elizabeth x Nick is only cannon in golden children
Unless its Evan x Cassidy or Mike x Charlie
TF2 is cannon in the golden children au (i mostly just wanted to make fnaf 2 Jeremy TF2 Jeremy)
The golden children au takes place in the late 80s to early 90s with flash forwards towards the pizzaplex era while the shattered souls au takes place in 1991 and the malefactor malfunction shifts the entire time line to start in 2000 GMTC takes place around 1999 to 2018 xanthophobia takes place in in the 2000s and 2010s
In shattered souls Springtrap is much nicer due to him losing his murdeous tendencies after getting spring locked
malefactor malfunction is a Ben 10 fnaf crossover with Cassidy having a version of the omnitrix called kaizotrix
The blog itself is cannon in all AU’s
This is a link to the malefactor malfunction aliens list for all of Cassidy’s kaizotrix transformations
As well as facts about the malefactors
Also a timeline for my main AU

Honestly the rhetoric of “Japan isn’t a perfect place” is so hollow at this point because of how obvious Japan’s societal problems are. Yes, Japan does have low birth rates, yes Japan has a harsh and unforgiving work culture, yes Japan does not have a society that reaches out to or discusses mental health of its population, creating a drive towards the growing hikikomori culture where you just stay inside your house all day and ROT. And finally, yeah many Japanese people do not like immigrants, immigration, or foreigners. This is a mix of European tourists being inconsiderate of their culture (it’s getting so bad tourists are getting banned from some districts of Japan for repeatedly taking pictures of geishas even though there are signs with visual clues of stick figures taking pictures of a geisha with a BIG CIRCLE WITH A SLASH THROUGH IT and this also applies to even simple stuff like ignoring the painted rows for getting on trains in a filed line, and a lot of little cultural divisions that you gotta learn before stepping into Asia’s biggest cultural exporter.
Of course, it’s not just the tourists, Japan also hates immigrants mostly because of the continuous cloud of Japanese nationalism that remains in the nation even after the war, which at best preserves landmarks and iconography of old imperial Japan (the naval flag hasn’t changed since 1868, even though the rising sun flag is now associated by Americans, many Chinese mainlanders, and Southeast Asians as a flag of oppression and war crimes since WWII, unless your Thailand, because Japan let Thailand keep their king and even join the Axis powers as an independent state) and at worst racism against Koreans and Chinese people that denies the terror at unit 731 and the massacre of Nanking.
Finally a lot of societal pros and cons of Japan come from 2 things:
1. America is Japan’e sugar daddy, it raised the country from rubble after WWII and created an economic miracle that modernized it so fast that by the 1980s it was developmentally ahead of countries like Italy and France.
2. Japan is dominated by one party since WWII and it only lost that majority for about 4 years after the economic crisis in 2008. It was Shinzo Abe that got the party’s grip on Japan, and economic state, back in the groove.
So Japan is a complex society with many people, a long history, complex politics (did you know Japan is one of the only countries in the global north to have a communist party represented in its parliament?) and it has problems, very human, and some of it does stem from the free-market Conservative politics of the country, and some of it was practices and cultural norms translated to the modern day.
The issue is the phrase “Japan ain’t a paradise ya know” does not address any of this, it more or less just attacks a superficial belief that people who like anime and complain about “wokeness” in western media like anime because anime generally does not explore or address social movements or political philosophy that deals with LGBTQ rights, racism, economic inequality, social justice, or political theory compared to modern american media which has integrated many more openly queer main characters and usually fights a villain who is a megalomaniac aristocrat who wants to get rid of some “other” to return society to “the good old days” and take power as this “great man” which must do what the unwashed masses could not stand up to. The assumption is since anime, and generally in genres like slice of life and shonen (and even beyond the scope of anime, tokusatsu) does not cover topic of modern political and social climate, it’s because Japan doesn’t have to deal with these issues, and is to the anime viewer, a harmonious, enriched, and bountiful society where there’s no crime, no poverty, and everyone is proud to be Japanese and accepts their place in society no matter how trivial their job or position in their community is.
The thing is: NO
Many popular anime and cartoons in Japan can cover modern social issues or political philosophy, it’s just that not all of it is going to get so popular that it gets dubbed or shipped to translation publishers like Crunchyroll or Viz media. The other thing is some Japanese media can cover older or more personal struggles in their works, it can get popular, and that’s alright! Not every piece of media that avoids talking about modern issues is anti-woke! Sometimes a fine story is a fun break from reality, a way to ease your stress from a day at work.
I think when people say “Japan isn’t a paradise you think it is” I think they’re saying that Japan has active movements that fight for more modern political causes like LGBTQ rights and economic reform, and that inevitably, they will win. Some courts in Japan are already considering same-sex marriage to be a right. That’s great.
The thing is, what the nu-fan is also saying is that the pressure of the American audience, and the growing progressive movement in Japan will reform the production and distribution of Japanese media that will introduce a new wave of authors, writers, and even animators who will be more woke than any previous generation of Japanese artists that preceded them.
And when Japan’s media landscape goes woke, where will you turn to to “escape the nu-fans” South Korea?
As if there’ll be 2 Koreas within the next decade.
🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵
Then there's Western companies that are trying to ask JP creators to change, edit, and censor their works in order to fit the standards for Western audiences. If they don't try to persuade them, they do it in more subtle ways through localization without their knowledge. And they will take that advantage that the creator will be fine with it because most don't understand English or Western culture. Sites like Pixiv that is limiting US and UK NSFW content because they don't wish to change the rules for other countries for a site that was exclusively made for Japan. It's why people are starting to accept AI translations as a new way to translate anime/manga/video games over localizers like Crunchyroll. I also think there is a difference in addressing Japanese's political and society issues over policing their media and having to alter it in order to make a quick buck. It's just as bad as Disney removing one gay reference since it isn't part of the big plot to get dem Chinese bux. At least stuff like Apex Legends is having some balls to not LGBT+ shit for Saudi Arabia release without fear of losing money or being killed.

Unsolicited opinion of the day:
I really believe we are about to witness the rise of a BL Power Couple in Japan and/or Korea: two actors who have worked in a BL drama before and are not only willing to work together again but want to nurture a prolific partnership.
Sometimes it's easy to forget how cut-throat the entertainment business really is, for one successful actor you have a hundred more fighting for their chance under the spotlight. If you find your audience, and can tell stories that resonate with you while also making a living, why wouldn't you?
It's how it works in Thailand, and the other countries are aware that, the way the Thai-ships manage to become bigger than the stories they are telling, how two actors working in tandem hook the audience, make them go from 'I might check his next show' to 'I gotta watch their next show!" ー ask the JimmySea fans.
Even first time pairs manage to build significant fanbases. Pit Babe' Sailub and Pon come to mind, leading a new show fresh-out the success of their pairing-debut.
Actors from Korea and Japan operate in very distinct manners, while Koreans rarely cross paths in different projects, Japan seems to have a more tight-knit acting circle, with actors sharing screen time with previous scene partners but usually in different dynamics (like Machida Keita and Akaso Eiji that went from soulmates in Cherry Magic to bitter rivals in Super Rich).
But more recently we've seen a new crop of actors, people who seem eager to repeat the duo, who are unabashed in their desire to keep working together, the leading men of Love Tractor Yon Do Jin and Do Won not only have expressed their desire to work together again but have voiced it multiple times, which is probably why they scored their very own reality series With My Dear Bro, where they yet again talked about the desire to keep acting alongside each other.
Meanwhile in Japan, younger actors (curiously enough many railing from the Tokusatsu realm) started to pop into the BL scene, and make a mark. Several on-screen couples have publicly stated their wish to repeat the pairing, I Can't Reach You' Kentaro Maeda and Haru Kashiwagi have even come up with their own idea for an on-screen reunion, a new show where one is a teacher and the other student getting into a forbidden love story (I not making this up, look for their recent interviews where they simply start talking about that without no one asking for it lol).
Also, I'm not oblivious to the Taiwan scene (personal taste: they are only behind Japan when it comes to ticking my boxes). But for all the delicious and sometimes a little too real fanservice, the taiwanese pairings manage to keep things restrict to one work and go to have prolific careers delving into various other works. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the boys from Plus & Minus starred in another BL series (or announced that they got married...)

Princess Maker 2 Regeneration coming to PS5, Switch on December 21 in Japan
Gematsu Source
Bliss Brain has announced Princess Maker 2 Regeneration for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC (Steam). It will launch on December 21 with English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language support.
In Japan, physical standard and limited editions will also be released for PlayStation 5 and Switch. The standard physical edition will be priced at 4,400 yen. The 8,580 yen “Special Pack” will include exclusive packaging featuring an illustration drawn by Takami Akai, an art book, and a five-disc soundtrack featuring music from the PC-98, DOS/V, TOWNS, and Refine versions of the game, as well as an arranged version for Regeneration. Pre-orders are available now at retailers such as 7net Online Shopping and Biccamera.
Here is an overview of the game, via its official website:
About
Princess Maker 2 is a childrearing simulation game in which the player experiences being the father to a daughter granted to them by the stars. They raise the girl for eight years, from ages ten to eighteen. Your daughter grows up to be an adult through various experiences in the game. The girl’s dream is to become a princess, but a wide variety of opportunities await depending on how you raise her. What kind of dream will you make come true for this girl?
Princess Maker 2 Celebrates Its 30th Anniversary This Year
This year marks 30 years since the original release of Princess Maker 2 (PC-9801 version) in 1993. We invite you to experience the new and improved Princess Maker 2 on its 30th anniversary.
—Message from Takami Akai
I am deeply grateful to see that “Princess Maker 2”, which came out 30 years ago, is still so beloved by so many fans that we can release a new version. This time I was finally able to redo the graphics, which I had always wanted to do. Please enjoy the newly redrawn vacations and endings. About Takami Akai: Born 1961. While still enrolled at Osaka University of Arts, he made his debut with the DAICON III Opening Animation. As one of the founding members of GAINAX, he has worked on anime and tokusatsu shows, as well as games and events. His most noteworthy works include the Princess Maker series, Gurren Lagann, and Dai Tokusatsu Negiman.
Redrawing the Graphics
This title is based on Princess Maker 2 Refine, which was released in 2004. Especially important graphics were redrawn by Takami Akai in a style similar to the PC-98 version. The graphics are drawn in high resolution befitting modern game systems, with a commitment to quality in the details.
—Left: Regeneration, Right: Refine
Opening Movie Added
An opening movie produced by Yonago GAINAX has been added. The animation, which was made by a team led by Takami Akai, allows new “father” players to get a sense of what a future raising their “daughter” is going to be like.
Knowing How Your Daughter is Doing is the First Step in Raising Her
This title is a social simulation, so it is very important to always be aware of your daughter’s status and use this to raise her. In Regeneration, parameters for assessing your daughter’s status are always available, so you can check on her at a glance. Check what you should do for your daughter’s future, and raise her carefully.

A Review of Vinny's S↫ↂ¢Ϡy MS-DOS Games 3
youtube
Yeah I did these out of order - this was released earlier than the Quality DOSes.
[KOR] Ant Man | Not to be confused with Hank Pym, this seems to be a scifi tokusatsu-style universe - bad guys brought their robots on a meteor, three college kids become bug-armored heroes to save the day and stuff. Our repertoire - Ant Man, Mosquito Girl, and Beetle Boy.
Vinny picks Beetle Boy first, and boy is he slow! The game is well-above-and-beyond passable, with great music and great visuals, but it's marred by one fatal flaw - seemingly-random game overs that you're not prepared for.
Next he picks Mosquito Girl, whom he mistakenly believes to be Ant Man. Beetle Boy was the only slow one so far, but had big-ol' lazers, while Mosquito Girl has gatling-gun hands! Okay, the second big complaint is the jump - it just doesn't feel right. You know what Soft Land needed? For Commander Keen to be imported to Korea. At least Mosquito Girl can hover short distances to make jumping a bit more manageable.
Finally is Ant Man. Let's see what he brings to the table! A double-jump, another machine gun... Eventually he figures out that not only was he wrong about who Ant Man was, but also that the button he thought was for menus was actually the game-over button! Those sly dogs! Those thieving little words we're not supposed to say on a family website!
[TWN] Basketball Challenge | Folks consider this to be the precursor of the infamous China Pro Baseball faces. Let's laugh at the faces and admire the twitchy gameplay the demo offers. NEXT!
[CHN] Blood-Boiled High School | Vinny can't run this one, but there is a picture - it looks just like the River City games.
[CHN] King Kong 10 | Oops, the VOD accidentally played the part where he can't run Box Ranger twice! And then after a bit of fail with Lobotomy BBS, here's this game. Can you guess what it's about? If you said "basketball gorilla platformer", you're right!
Even more shockingly, it contains ragtime music! The story - once upon a time there was a little gorilla who loved to play basketball. One day he was kidnapped by a helicopter and taken into the big bad city. He only escaped because the helicopter was struck by lightning!
What a shock - the game is like Donkey Kong Country in terms of playstyle. Digitized sprites, 2D playfield, jump on enemies to kill them or alternatively use a different attack... In fact, 2 - throwing basketballs, and spinning! Unfortunately, Mr. 10, you're no Starfy - at least he can spin multiple times and still not get dizzy.
And even more surprisingly, saying "like" or something that vaguely sounds like it will make the like counter flash! ...What, that's just the fault of the YouTube website and not the VOD itself? On that note, whether or not the map theme sounds similar to anything David Wise composed is none of my business, as long as it sounds good.
You get 15 points for every thingamajiggy broken via basketball action and 1 for every dog (2 for every mining robot thingy) killed. But what's stupid about this is that your keys and points aren't then un-gotten when you die, meaning you could theoretically beat the game with 65,536 keys, 256 golden whatsits, and 983,040 points (but still showing as 9999) before you get a game over. Talk about busted!
Honestly, I can't tell if those things are baby bottles or muffins. Random story - FunnyStarRunner spent years trying to find this, erroneously thinking it was called Hoop Kong 98. I'll shut up now until he moves on to...
[KOR] Korean Dungeon Boy | Misspelled "Dunegon Boy" on the files, this one is another IBM adventure like RT2:BM&T... and Guldkorn Express! It plays like the maze sections in Phantasy Star and in fact Magician's Story (the game that would eventually give rise to Puyo Puyo).
This tubby little greaseball has been chosen to explore the dark scary dungeons, and he's going in with 3 batteries for his radar, 4 magical spell-scrolls, 8 bullets for his Colt 45, and 16 tiny rocks for his slingshot. 3 minutes, starting now! What must he do? Find all the treasures? Escape? Kill all the bats? Whatever it is, Vinny hasn't the gumption nor the patience to find out what the endgoal is here, and so he gives up after flailing around and failing to select the gun.
[KOR] Ultra Superb SM Ultimate S◐⇹ʘ Fighter | OH ! Sↈ‡※ !! If ever there was a game with just as much copyright infringement as Super Cop and Cyber Marine combined, it'd be this - the music is tacky Yamaha arrangements of Two Kids Run in the City (title screen) and Rouge's Dengon (gameplay theme). Not sure what the boss theme is infringing, though.
You're a Weeping Angel, apparently, shooting grub-dropping rats, farting cockroaches, spitting teeth, the titular s⁛₯ʔs, and the bosses appear to be bug exterminators. Knock Sybal's Monkey Adventure all you want - at least its music wasn't stolen from prior sources. ...Believe it or not, this specific arrangement of Rouge's Dengon made me realize that I really like those specific DOS instruments.
Despite the health bar and the damage-flash when you're "hurt", you're immortal. The game's just as busted as King Kong 10!
[KOR] student.exe | I think this game might be the polar opposite of S◘ᾎϟ Fighter - it's too hard with everything coming at you. Theoretically a game like this could work, a student who falls asleep in class and dreams of being in a side-shooter adventure with all these school supplies attacking him, but this really needed more QA and playtesting than just this one guy.
[KOR] The Time Machine | Are you ready to learn about Korean history!? No!? Too bad, get in the time machine! We begin in the year 2010 (tells what era this game was made if they made 2010 sound even more futurey than it actually ended up being), where we join Captain Haddock in our little temporal adventure.
First stop - 4000 BC, where we find Cro-Magnons? Did they know how much evolution humanity had made by then? Humans then were pretty much identical to us of today! Civilization had been invented then! India had just been founded! Why are we looking at cavepeople in their hay-houses!?
On the bright side, Vinny says the rightmost Magnon reminds him of his post-convention self. Or, the Kong. Thus would begin an annoying trend of him calling things Kong.
When to next? Why, 600 BC, of course! This fine gentleman is rallying his people in what would soon become Korea! Or, in Vinny's eyes, the adventurer Kong has found the Sacred Knife of the Umzari to destroy the evil Dragon Emperor Scrocog, and at the same time, St. Kong drove all the snakes out of Ireland.
Next time period, AD 600, where a beautiful sight is seen - the deity of the sun, Goguryeo, is carrying it up into the sky! Irritatingly, Vinny says that this is John Kong, half-snake, half-man, who found the Dragon Ball that would become Mozilla Firefox.
For once going back instead of forward - AD 158, where we see this fine gentleman pungmul-ing with his pals until the cows come home!
AD 42 sees us right in the imperial horsemen's way. They mean business - we better scram! But Vinny has to be a total clown about it and try to complete the little jingle we heard.
Scrambling out of the Gaya empire after reminiscing about the TooManyGames convention and Keith Apecary's tree booth and into the year AD 592-- WHOA HOLY HECK WHY ARE WE IN A WARZONE!? Stop joking about Star Wars, this is serious!
[CHN] Violent Fighter | Skipping the initial attempt to boot up Twins, thinking it's based on the Danny deVito/Arnold Schwarzenegger buddy comedy, here's this one. Dear God, rest my soul. Vinny's saying what I'm thinking - why have this promising story about the aliens breaking out of the AMX lab and occupying Wall Street when you're just gonna do a fighting game roster with Kater (Carter), Lice (Lisa), Ali, Chomu, Oluda, Cyber-02, Sea Killer, and Klaid (Clyde)?
At least the AMX backstory is still there, with Clyde coming from the same lab as the aliens. But the only options are player v.s CPU, player v.s player, and options! No story mode? No tournament?? Whatever. Vinny picks Chomu v.s Clyde, loses, Sea Killer v.s Clyde, loses again, Carter v.s Lisa, loses yet again, whatever.
[KOR] Box Ranger | Remember Fox Ranger 1 and 2 from the first of these videos? The box-man is here to steal the show and make this IBM-based installment all about himself! And... Gandalf the White.
Much like any cubic egomaniac's self-serving spinoff, the box-man goes into a cave and kills insects, including a dragonfly boss.
[KOR] Twins | Much to Vinny's disappointment, this is not an adaptation of a buddy comedy featuring a small man and a big Austrian beefcake. It's a Korean point-and-click adventure starring these two people, who are twins. And he had to find this out via a video of the game in action. A disappointing end to this stream.

Geared towards people who don’t have much knowledge on P4.
Anything verse specific will be noted, but otherwise everything here is for her canon/main/whatever you want to call it verse. Will be edited as necessary.
PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE (anyone can figure out/know/whatever word you want to use)
Fifth and currently last in line of the Shirogane lineage of private detectives. While not at household celebrity status, within Japan, she and her family are rather well-known. They’re pretty obscure outside of that, save for specific law enforcement individuals who request their aid.
Cracked 24 cases before she turned 16.
Her parents are dead, their deaths were on the news for a short while. No one cares now, but enough digging will bring a few articles up.
Before the events of the game, knowing that Naoto is a girl was basically a secret. Afterwards, she no longer hides it, but still prefers to wear masculine clothing and keep her hair short. She doesn’t bother to correct people if they refer to her as a boy. (Considering I usually default to post-game, this is more or less pointless.)
Knows conversational Mandarin and Korean, fluent in English (with no hint of an accent), rusty and outdated French, and JSL.
Has a New Nambu M60. Passed a rigorous examination to acquire one and is held up to high standards. Her marksmanship is excellent.
Avid reader of mysteries, crime fiction, and other genres related to the detective sphere. It’s one of the few personal facts about herself she’s willing to divulge.
Her disdain for the police is not overt, but she’s upfront on the fact that she finds a good number of them incompetent if asked about.
Her client’s safety comes first, if it means putting herself in harm’s way, that’s how it is.
SEMI-PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE (people who are close can figure out/know/whatever word you want to use)
Has a bit of a sweet tooth, but overly sweet like American frosting earns her ire.
Beyond being a detective fiction enjoyer, she is a fan of tokusatsu. There’s just something cool about people transforming into masked heroes, regardless of the stupid (even she can’t defend that) spandex suits. Similarly, she’s a fan of mecha shows. Holds a secret fondness for cheesy hot blooded super robot shows in particular.
She’s definitely not as all right as she wants you to believe, but getting her to open up about it is obscenely difficult.
Amazingly, she knows about video games. Unfortunately, they’re typically from the 80s and 90s. Being busy with work doesn’t leave much time for video games. It’s the same with movies, she knows a lot of old detective and crime related movies, but when it comes to anything modern, she’s not the most knowledgeable. You can say living with an old man has its influences.
She loves to tinker with mechanical and electronic things, but don’t tell anyone. It’s not very professional.
PRIVATE KNOWLEDGE (good luck figuring this out)
Has a magical spirit guardian in the form of a weird bird prince man residing in her soul. With it comes the power to go through television screens.
That car crash her parents died in, she happened to be there too. She’ll always consider it a mistake that she was insistent that they spend time with her. After the dust settled, she was passed around to three different relatives before her grandfather became her official guardian.
It turns out that trying to deny you have depression and PTSD and other things isn’t good for you, but Naoto is intent on insisting she’s fine anyway, regardless of what anyone thinks.

I have no idea how to even try to figure out and pick muses for roleplay. 🫠 I have so much desire to just get started and not a single clue on how to begin.
A few months back
On the same axis of that I still die over getting called a “Weeb” because I speak Japanese and when someone told me to just speak English I spoke in slang Japanese to tell them to fuck off they insisted it proved how chronic online I am and was told I had a problem--
I’m an Osakan dialect Japanese First Language and I’ve touched less than 10 “animanga”-- [and most of them are Chinese or Korean not Japanese ironically] like maybe get your own chronic online ass the fuck out of my personal space.
Still can’t get over their mutual going ‘don’t talk to my mutual that way’ 🤣 how about kiddos go away and shut up instead of bothering someone over speaking a language like??
Anyway I need to start touch animanga to
1 spite people. if they wanna call me a weeb for speaking my first language sometimes I want them to actually have a reason to call me one. 😎
2 so I can maybe find a muse or get some inspiration to start writing because dammit I want to write
3 pretty much all my current friends touch animanga and it’s really weird being the only one who doesn’t realize references, comments, characters, images. holy please 😵 don’t leave me behind.
3b I want to know shit they don’t know so they can finally do that with my posts 8 3 suffer like I have for the last few years
Me in actual practice today
doesn’t touch animanga and instead watches tokusatsu
