Real Skincare Guide

Level 1: breakouts, non-painful, a little scarring

Minimize your skincare routine, all you need is an oil cleanser (if you wear a lot of makeup) than a good foam cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Repeat the same routine before bed just without the sunscreen.

Wear sunscreen everyday!!!

Always apply more moisturizer than you think you need.

Drink a lot of water (2-3LT)

Get consistent sleep

Take a multi vitamins to balance your hormones. I recommend the One-A-Day Woman’s Vitamins (get a real pill cause the gummies don’t have enough iron)

Work on your stress (breathe work, meditate, journal, yoga, walks, going out with friends, therapy, etc)

Look at what body oils/shampoo/conditioner you are using. Could be your akin reacting poorly to something in there.

Level 2: consistant breakouts, acne, scarring

All the stuff for Level 1 apply.

Minimize your skincare routine and than slowly add back in stuff like hydrochloric acid and retinol. Having an elaborate skincare will just make your skin worse. First, focus on healing your skin barrier.

If you are a teenager, it just might be your hormones/growing pains. It will go away eventually.

Pimple Patches work and are especially good if you are trying to stop touching your face.

Wash your pillow cases every 1-2 weeks.

Try to sleep on your back.

If you pop a pimple than apply an antibiotic ointment.

No point in using anti-aging products if you are under the age of 25. It just won’t do anything for you.

Note that if you take in a lot of nicotine you will breakout. If you smoke and you have bad skin, it probably won’t improve unless you quit or lessen the dosage.

Level 3: painful consistent breakouts/acne/scars, redness, irritability, hurts,

Go see a dermatologist!

Acne is can be a real problem. If your acne is painful seek professional help.

If Accutane is recommended, than I would do it. Based only on the experiences of my friends, I have seen great results after a couple months. There are side effects and it is not for everyone but if a professional says you should than I might consider it.

No topical treatment is going to make those scars go away. You are going to need to laser resurfacing which is like this secret treatment rich people do to clear up their skin. It is expensive but really works. Beauty brands want you to think that the right cream can clear up your skin but if you have bad scarring you are only going to see real results with laser treatments

Your acne does not take away from your beauty or your worth as a human being. Remember that acne is normal and social media is fake.

There is no FLOWER OF THE DAY for this chapter. Instead, a riddle shall take its place to prepare you for the things you are about to face.

RIDDLE OF THE DAY: “I am fear, and I am pain, I am the sorrow on your face. I am the burden you carry and the future you brace. But I am the friend whose hand you shall take.”

Once upon a time in a small town, there lived two siblings. An older brother and his sister. They were raised in a loving family, but as they grew older, it became apparent that, the brother, had developed a disturbing and unpredictable behaviour.

His behaviour became increasingly erratic and unsettling as time went on. He would often exhibit signs of paranoia, believing that he was constantly being watched and that everyone around him was conspiring against him. He would lash out in fits of anger and aggression, causing harm to himself and others.

The younger sister was deeply concerned about her brother’s well-being and the impact his actions had on their family. She tirelessly sought help, consulting various doctors and psychiatrists, but finding a solution proved to be challenging.

The younger sister, torn between her love for her brother and the need to protect herself and their family, faced an immense emotional burden. She grappled with feelings of guilt, wondering if there was more, she could have done to prevent her brother’s descent into psychosis.

As the years passed, her brother’s condition worsened. He became increasingly disconnected from reality, living in a constant state of fear and anxiety. His once-promising future turned bleak as he struggled to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or pursue any semblance of a normal life.

After the brother’s diagnosis the family was torn to shreds. The father became a drunkard, the mother, crippled by her guilt sat and did nothing all day and the brother was well…psychotic.

That left the younger sister. Neglected and later…abused.

Despite the hardships, the younger sister never gave up on her family especially her brother. She tried to be their pillar of support, offering a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on. Even though her skin would always end up bruised and her bones broken. She advocated tirelessly for her family’s mental health subsequently forgetting her own.

However, the sister’s unwavering love and determination eventually led them to a breakthrough. Through a combination of therapy (Allowing her body to be used as a punching bag), medication (drugs and alcohol), and a supportive network of professionals (the police who were often called as the neighbors grew concerned about the bruises on her skin), The brother began to stabilize.

While his recovery was slow and not without its setbacks, The brother gradually regained some sense of normalcy. With time, he was able to rebuild trust with his family- mostly his sister- and reintegrate into society, albeit with ongoing support and understanding.

The sister’s devotion and resilience had played a pivotal role in her brother’s healing process. The bond between the two grew even stronger as they faced and overcame the immense challenges together. Or so she thought.

“Mom and Dad are dead”.

Two months after the brother’s recovery the siblings’ parents had died.

No cause of death

No weapon.

Not even the bodies were left.

Just the wedding rings covered in their blood.

The words ‘A love as peaceful as a dove’ were engraved in their parents’ rings.

The sister grew depressed and just as she was there for him, her brother was there for her.

He didn’t cry at the news or the loss.

She thought he was strong and brave.

She adored him.

Pity, the brother would think.

His little sister didn’t know that he had simply become better at hiding his crazy.

Even before his descent into madness the brother was always known to be cruel, dishonest, aggressive, selfish, and manipulative to everyone but his little sister.

He loved her dearly.

 ‘Dove’ he would call her as she was known for her kind heart, intelligence, and a creative spirit that set her apart from others.

He loved her like a brother should love his sister.

Or…he wanted to…

Unfortunately, fate had an unexpected twist in store for him, for it led him down a path of forbidden love that would test his sanity.

A test that he would fail.

Every night after their parents died the brother would lie in room and think about his 'dove'.

In the very next room, was his sister and the love of his life.

He knew that she didn’t love him the way he loved her.

And even though she would resent him for the things he planned to do, now that their parents weren’t here…he decided he had to have her.

By will or by force.

Every night after his decision he went into her room.

And every night His sister lost a piece of her innocence.

Unfortunately, by force.

She would fight him.

She would scream.

She would cry.

Yet in his eyes she was just being a brat.

Before the sister knew it, she had spent her days trapped in a home filled with fear and pain, enduring the relentless abuse inflicted upon her by her own family.

She became desperate for a chance at freedom, she made a brave decision to escape and forge her own path.

One moonlit night, as the stars twinkled overhead, she gathered her strength and resolve. With a small bag containing her most cherished belongings - a dog-eared book her mother loved and her savings of 200 dollars- she tiptoed out of her room, careful not to make a sound that might alert her tormentor. Every creak of the floorboards echoed like a symphony of trepidation, but she knew that the risk of staying was far greater than the fear of leaving.

Her heart pounding, she slipped out into the night, guided only by the light of the moon. And the scent of roses from the neighbouring houses

Oh, how she loved roses.

She ventured into the unknown, her footsteps carrying her away from the place she had once called home. Fear and uncertainty gripped her, but the glimmer of hope illuminated her path.

As she walked, she encountered a kind stranger who offered her a job and shelter.

 The stranger recognized the pain in her eyes and extended their compassion and support. With their help, she found temporary refuge and a respite from the horrors she had endured.

But she knew that her journey was far from over. She needed to find a place where she could heal and build a life free from the shackles of abuse.

With determination etched on her face, she pursued education and learned new skills, determined to create a better future for herself.

As time passed, she flourished. She pursued her passions, - working with flowers and learning all about them- embracing the power of her voice and using it to advocate for others and herself.

However, as new as she tried to make her life out to be…she knew that one day, her brother would find her.

With fear living in her heart, she decided that she would not give herself to any man. She feared that they would take advantage of her like her brother did.

However, she met someone.

He made her feel things.

He made her do things she never thought she would.

He was a dangerous man who ironically, made her feel safe from danger.

He was her safe heaven.

And he called her ‘Flower’.

Part 03

Lee Soo Hyuk and Hong Jong Hyun made some necessary arrangements in their lives (Jong Hyun needed to persuade his friend to babysit his dogs) and they decided to start their investigation in Geneva, Switzerland. It was the place the artist lived and died and it made sense to them to go there.

Hyuk contacted the gallerist who sold Basil’s painting to the gallery in Seoul and they agreed on a meeting. The gallerist, Herr Keller, welcomed them in his office in a small and cosy but clearly highly exclusive gallery. Mr. Keller could speak 5 languages fluently, unfortunately none of them being Korean, Japanese or Mandarin Chinese. With the help of a translator, Hyuk and Jong Hyun were able to discuss the case of Basil Van Paar.

“Mr. Keller, we are especially interested in the painting depicting a woman with scars. It’s the one without a name.” Hyuk brought the subject to the table once all the formalities were over.

The gallerist pushed glasses up on his nose and blinked but then he smiled, clearly recalling the painting. “Yes, I remember. It was one of Basil’s last works. To be honest with you, I was advising Kamilla, Basil’s sister, not to give the painting into auction as we have found a little note attached to it saying it’s not for sale. But Kamilla is the heiress and she could do what she found fit.”

“I see. So it was never meant to be available to the public, if I understand it correctly.” Jong Hyun said.

“You are right. Judging by the nature of the painting, it might have been something very personal for Basil. Unfortunately we haven’t found any further notes or records regarding the painting.”

“I was about to ask you whether you know the woman depicted but you have answered that. With no notes, you can’t know.” Hyuk said a little disappointed.

“Oh, gentlemen! But I do know the identity of the lady in the painting.” Herr Keller smiled and blinked several times.

Hyuk’s heartbeat accelerated immediately. “You do? Who is she?”

“I’m not so sure I can tell you but then again, it was in the news and on the internet so maybe there’s no harm in telling you…”

“Herr Keller, please, we have undergone a long journey to get here.” Jong Hyun tried to encourage the gallerist to speak.

Mr. Keller nodded and he started tapping on his desk with a pen. “About a year ago, it was in every newspaper all around Europe. A female doctor working for the Red Cross in Congo was kidnapped together with some of her colleagues by some militant group. They have tried to negotiate ransom money for her as she was from a noble and very wealthy family. In the process, they tortured her, broke her fingers, several ribs, burned her with cigarettes and more. Savages. Ransom never came but a rescue team of professional mercenaries did. Once the rebels heard about the rescue coming, they decided to kill their hostages. They slit their throats. Everyone died except for the female doctor who’s assassin was a small frightened boy with a blunt knife. He didn’t cut deep enough to kill her and she managed to survive till the rescue team arrived.”

“I saw the throat scar. It’s horrible.” Hyuk mentioned all stunned.

“Exactly. But even worse than the marks on her skin was the damage she suffered on her hands. Some of the nerves were irreversibly damaged and once the doctor woke up in the hospital, she was told she would never be able to perform surgeries again. She was an excellent surgeon and this was devastating for her. She attempted suicide in the hospital and cut her wrists but they saved her and sent to therapy. I remember the news describing her entire life being a series of suffering. She was born into a wealthy noble family and when she was 17 years old, she was considered the most beautiful girl in the county. She was engaged to an Irish descendant aristocrat, I think I remember his picture from the news. Adonis looks like his uglier brother. They were meant to be married once she would celebrate her 18th birthday. Unfortunately there was a fire in a local bakery. She was there first and went into the burning house to save a child. She managed to push the child outside but the building collapsed partially and she couldn’t get out in time. The gas stove in the kitchen exploded and threw her through the window with severe back burns and multiple injuries and internal bleeding. Once she recovered enough to continue with the plans, she was still intending to be married but when the wedding day came, the groom ran away. He couldn’t stand marrying a woman who wasn’t beautiful anymore. And so the girl devoted her life to medical career and helping others.”

“Dear lord!” Hyuk breathed out. “What a dick! I mean… couldn’t he tell her sooner?”

“That’s what everyone thought. I heard he ran away with her maid of honour and best friend and got married in Las Vegas.” Mr. Keller mentioned.

“I hate to interrupt you but you haven’t told us her name so far.” Jong Hyun said growing a little impatient.

“I haven’t? Oh! Right! The woman in the painting is Lady Freya Arran. She’s the sister of Lady Godiva Arran. You might have seen her in the news, she’s the British Prime Minister.”

“What?!” Hyuk and Jong Hyun said at the same moment. Hyuk cleared his throat and continued. “How came Basil got the chance to paint lady Arran?”

“I think they met when she was in Albania with the Red Cross years ago. They were friends.”

“Is it possible to contact her?” Jong Hyun asked.

Herr Keller seemed genuinely surprised. “Oh! But gentlemen! Haven’t you heard? Lady Freya Arran went missing a month ago. She was on her way to family property on a Crow Isle when her ship hit rocks and sank. I heard nothing about her being found so I assume she is still missing.”

Hyuk’s heart stopped beating and he felt as if someone ripped it out of his chest with ice cold claws. “She died a month ago?” He whispered.

“I think so, yes. I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news.” Herr Keller said.

Jong Hyun watched his friend grow pale and his forehead starting to glisten with sweat. “Thank you for all the information, Mr. Keller. We are truly grateful you agreed to meet us. I’m afraid this is the end of our enquiry here. If you excuse us, we won’t disturb you any longer.” He said and got up to shake hands with the gallerist.

“I’m sorry you went this whole way only to learn the woman is deceased. I hope you can enjoy the rest of your stay in Geneva.”

Jong Hyun handled all the polite formalities and took Hyuk back to the car they hired after arriving in Geneva. “Are you okay, mate?” Jong Hyun asked once they were both in the car and Jong Hyun was smoothly driving through the city back to their hotel.

“No, I don’t think so… I just… I don’t know. I mean, I could have known she’s not going to be alive. Even from the painting itself. She went through so much. But… for some reason I believed she was there somewhere and I could meet her and maybe give her the painting so it’s not exposed to the public. This is just… It feels like an open wound in my chest. I haven’t reached any type of closure.” Hyuk said all devastated.

Jong Hyun frowned and thought about it for a little. “Maybe you could reach some sort of peace of mind if you offer the painting to her family? We know she has a sister in Britain. We are already in Europe. It won’t kill us to continue our trip to London now.” Jong Hyun suggested.

“Maybe… I don’t know. How do you even meet a British Prime Minister? I’m pretty sure you can’t just call the office and ask Lady Godiva out for lunch.” Hyuk said pessimistically.

They arrived back in the hotel. Jong Hyun wanted to go out and paint the town red but Hyuk was in no mood for that. He took a shower and sat in bed with his laptop for the rest of the evening. He had his dinner delivered to the room as he couldn’t even imagine sitting in a restaurant among other people.

Jong Hyun was inhaling the hot coffee vapours in the hotel restaurant. He was mentally preparing for breakfast. He had a hangover like never before.

“Lady Freya had 11 sisters in total!” Hyuk crushed on a chair at Jong Hyun’s table.

“Aaaaaahhhh!” Jong Hyun moaned and held his head. “Volume down, man, please.” He whispered and sipped a little bit of the coffee.

“Sorry.” Hyuk said and spoke with a lower and quieter voice. “There were 12 Arran sisters. Freya disappeared in the sea, Godiva is the prime minister but there’s also Lady Victoria Arran. You might have heard that name.” Hyuk gave Jong Hyun a meaningful stare.

“At this moment, I can barely remember my mother’s name. You have to tell me.” Jong Hyun said with a raspy voice.

“Lady Victoria Arran married Cha Hak Yeon, leader of K-Pop group VIXX and an actor, 3 years ago. She lives in Seoul.”

“Ah! Right!” Jong Hyun remembered. “I think someone wanted me to be their plus one for dinner in their house but I was busy that night.” Jong Hyun rubbed his eyes. “So? Dissociation was a funny thing — it could make you braver or quieter, but most of all, completely numb. And right now, Moon Hoseok was in a state close to it; his brain struggling to process what was happening. What had happened. And while he had originally blankly stared at a wall for what felt like an eternity and had then uselessly broken down in Ji-won's arms for what also felt like an eternity, his mind had entered that state of blissful numbness.

He wished that he could have held onto that, wished that being in a hospital didn't bring back so many awful memories of feeling lost and trapped and broken. But instead of getting to be numb, his anxiety flared up and he could feel beads of sweat clinging to his overheated skin under his thick hoodie. His heart was beating wildly in his chest, eyes on full alert, yet firmly staying on the vinyl floor below his feet.

He was beyond scared to enter the room, nausea right there in his throat. But he had to do it — he had to make sure, had to see him.

Finally, after taking a deep couple of breaths, he pushed his body through the door, already hating the smell, the colors, the bright lights. His doe-like eyes reluctantly strayed from the flooring and slowly scanned upwards, afraid to really see. When they hesitantly moved past the bedframe and up towards his brother, he could feel his heart squeeze painfully inside of his chest.

"Duk-soo-yah..." His voice sounded quiet and strained, his eyes already burning with emotions, despite his earlier belief that he was all out of tears to shed. His mouth subconsciously played with his lip ring as he tried to find words to say, momentarily just uselessly standing near the door as if he would rather be anywhere else. Which was sort of true, but he wished they were both anywhere else.

Hoseok had never been good at this — at confrontation or dealing with trauma. Two decades of therapy hadn't been enough to prepare him for anything like this.

He forced himself to step closer, to get a better look even though he didn't want to. His hand twitched and nearly reached for Duckie's, but he managed to stop himself. "Your head... What did they do to you?" He then observed out loud, voice cracking while even his Korean threatened to become incoherent. There was so much he wanted to say, wanted to ask, wanted to yell. But he couldn't; already feeling unstable just looking at his little brother.

Duckie may be louder and braver, oftentimes making Hoseok feel like he was the younger one, but in the end, he was still the big brother.

Unable to hold himself back any longer, he reached out a shaking hand to at least touch the side of the bed, worried that any physical touch might hurt the other, despite his soft and gentle nature. "Shit, is your arm broken? That fucker broke your arm?"

sebastian was born and raised in united kingdom, more specifically manchester, england; he does in fact have a rather strong accent when he speaks english, and it carries through to his korean.

he learned korean rather late in his life, around his teenaged years when he was living with his grandparents, they taught him the language, he never really paid too close attention to his classes or notes, always rather focus on learning music and new instruments– now at the age of twenty, his korean isn't as perfect as it should be, considered on the low-intermediate level, he can converse pretty well, but when it comes to reading and fast paced conversations, he stumbles and has a hard time.

his main instrument of choice is his voice. he loves singing, and thinks that his timber and tone is quite unique, and would bring something different and new to the industry.

he never received any proper training, picking everything up by ear and sound first, his grandparents taught him how to read music, everything he knows and loves is mainly self-taught or showed under the guidance of his guardians

has many hobbies, but his favorite by far would be video games and reading novels. he enjoys a lot of rpg like games such as pokemon, final fantasy, ni no kuni, octopath traveler, but also lowkey and chill games like stardew valley and harvest moon. for books, anything fantasy or sci-fi is his usual go to. he also really likes poetry and finds inspiration for his songwriting there.

his music taste wildly varies, he wouldn't stick to just one genre, but the one he leans to the most is alternative rock, lofi, r&b and indie type sounds.

Well I’m 2002 line, from 22/02. Talking about physical appearance I’m not tall honestly hahaha I have a dark brown hair but I’ll change it and do a Oreo hair like Wooyoung (again)!!! 🥹💕 I’m a intj 6w5 don’t know if it changes something hahaha well about my personality I’m a quiet person, but with friends I’m more extrovert.
