Something I forgot to post back in July 💀
I was watching some Batman TAS and wanted to sketch the boys and what they might look like in my style. I owe so much of my art style and passion for storytelling to the…. Timm-verse(?) versions of these characters.

... Damn ... the audacity of these "salters" tho
So I was just casually scrolling through the DCU X Miraculous Ladybug of Ao3, as one does. Going through the motions when ... lo and behold... the 'Justice League Bashing" tag greeted me.
Never have I encountered such a section of a fanbase that has bashed a whole-ass superhero organization in a crossover, well until now.
Well, technically I have, but those stories weren't tagged as such.
I do wonder how fans of Hal Jordan would react to the way Hal was portrayed in those stories, yes stories.
Hal Jordan, a military man via his induction into the Green Lantern Corps, trained to investigate anything that tips him off regardless of how ridiculous it is. He is portrayed as a man who dismisses everything about Paris because there were no lasting effects in the city of Lights through Ladybug's Miraculous Cure.
Hal Jordan, and really any member of the Green Lantern corps, are the only people who would agree to Batman's contingency plans against the other heroes where every other hero would view it as a knife to their backs.
I can understand Justice League bashing stories happen because they love to put the Batfamily on a pedestal, which is also what happened here, ironic considering Batman abhors magic of any kind. (It's what I also find weird in a lot of Batman adopts Captain Marvel fics but then again Duke Thomas exists)
I really had no point to make other than sharing my frustration of the Miraculous Ladybug salters and the fact that they portrayed Hal Jordan as some half-wit side kick and would dismiss the Akuma attacks in Paris.

I have a love/hate relationship with early 2000's DC comics. Things I loved about it was that it felt like everyone was more connected than they are now. There were good stories like Blackest Night. Even with Identity Crisis, I liked seeing how hero's who were on different teams worked together to get their end goal. (Still didn't like the character assassination though. RIP Sue you died because Dan wanted something dark 🤪). So many things I didn't like about it would be Countdown to Infinite Crisis. Character assassinate Maxwell Lord while making him kill Ted Cord. Also Ted Cord dying.
Even if I loved Generations Lost and how Booster Gold took the mantle of team leader, I just had ignore my feelings towards making Maxwell someone like that. Martian Manhunter looked into the heart and mind of Max and said that there was good in there and that he was a member of the Justice League.
This was where I also started to have my disinterest with Batman as a character. No one understood the story of Tower of Babel. It was to show how wrong Bruce was when he made the plans to take down the members of the Justice League. Instead writers were like, No, actually he was right because of mind wiping. That's why I also never like it when batman fans say that it makes sense. Story point no it doesn't. The story's end goal was to say that he was wrong for being paranoid and not trusting his team. The story's end with him being right to do that is not it.
The ripple effects of Identity Crisis was a good idea and I do acknowledge that it was one of the reasons why everyone felt connected. But it made Batmans character sour for me.
When Maxwell Lord was puppetering Superman into trying to kill Dianna and then he would most likely go for Batman. When he was stopped by Diana, Max told her that he would just continue to do it and that the only thing that could stop him was death. Diana was the only one to understand that. She said bet and snapped his neck.
I hated how both Superman and Batman gave her so much shit for it. Batman had the balls to tell her she had changed. Okay Mister-1984-the-Entire-Meta-Humans. You truly are the best person to speak on this matter. 🙄
Also I found that really funny coming from Batman, the man who told Martian Manhunter to fuck with the minds of white martians and brainwash them into thinking that they were humans. Batman slowly became the biggest hypocrite on the team in the aughts and onward. But since he's Batman writers don't have anyone call him out on his shit. And even when they do it's still skewed to make it seem like Batman is still right somehow.

Ok so first of all spoilers for the movie, and also clarification that I am 100% not presenting this as any serious speculation
But the fact that they have a whole scene in the movie where Jaune sees Pyrrha again and gets hit with the fall of Beacon angst and talks about how she shouldn't be able to be here, and yet as far as I can tell there's no mention of Penny anywhere in the movie has me going "hey crwby is there some reason you're holding off on Penny angst? Maybe some things you're still trying to keep hidden?"

I worked a long time on this fic. I really liked working on it though and I hope you enjoy it
Peter met Marinette when they were six-years-old. She had been sent to camp in New York. She had been scared to be so far away from home, and while fluent in English spoke with a heavy accent that made other kids look at her funny.

Such a nice man! 🥰
Thinking about the Timmverse/DCAU again… My 15 year old self would be so hyped to see how much better I’ve gotten at copying the style!
(Also side rant? I was put off for years from watching Superman TAS because I’ve heard some people say it sucks—especially compared to Batman TAS and???? Were we watching the same show, friend? It’s so good! The art???? Hello??? The 2010s YouTube critic era has done a disservice to media discourse =m=)

simon isn't a man you take home. he's for the literal streets. dresses like he's homeless because all that matters is that his throwing knives and handguns are pristine. the only reason his home is spotless is because he doesn't live in it, it's all for show. his pantry has only salt and mouse traps, his fridge a long expired bottle of ketchup and something that if anyone ate, they'd gain superpowers.
he's got a crazy look in his eye, and who can blame him after all that shit he's been through? gut-wrenching betrayal, unimaginable torture, then buried alive shoulder to shoulder with his ol rotting buddy, ol decaying pal? he joined the military a butcher's apprentice, and now he's an echo of what simon riley used to be, a fading silhouette that wanders the corridors in base. a ghost.
he has to play music whenever he's not at work just to keep the screaming voices in his head at bay, and it has to be loud enough to drown out the incessant high-pitched ringing in his ears. a cacophony of noise that wears his thin string of patience into in-existence.
he's a killer, he's a man who's donned his skull mask for so long that he's forgotten the face underneath.
you don't bring a man like him home. and when you eventually did, even your parents had agreed.
he looks one clown short of a circus.
he hovers over you like a ghost. (ha)
possessive, obsessive, paranoid.
he'll kill you if you try to leave him.
simon heard everything, not like they had tried to keep their voice down. it hadn't really mattered to him, empty words pelting knotted flesh only a sharpened knife could cut through. but you hadn't taken any of it.
his little hero, coming to his defense. it'd been the first time- in a long time- that his icy cold, tiny heart skipped a beat.
simon's always been his own savior. he saved himself from the shit life he had with his family by joining the army. he'd clawed his way out of his own grave, freshly turned soil stuck under his fingernails for weeks. he'd gone after the head of roba, in the name of vengeance. even now, he's a part of the justice league, the task force 141.
unsung heroes.
and here you were, standing in your parent's kitchen, all bared teeth and scalding temper- over him.
simon's so aroused that when he rises from where he's seated, he sways on his feet. there's no stopping him from briskly walking over to you and hoisting you up and over his shoulder, heading for the door.
there's no stopping him from throwing you into the backseat, and climbing in after.
you weakly try to stop him with stammered words, just wanting to know what the fuck he's doing but when simon starts to impatiently undo the button of your jeans, his confined manhood pushing up underneath you, it clicks.
you don't want him to stop when the calloused pad of his thumb rubs your slippery clit with expertise, thick fingers curling inside your swollen cunt.
you definitely don't want him to stop when his cock slides through your slick folds, his hand wrapped around his thick base. his tip pushes inside, mild discomfort already flaring. gravity then does the work, slowly sinking you onto him until his thighs are flush against your arse. the sweet, decadent burn of him splitting you in half sparking your nerve endings alight, from the waist to your knees.
you beg him not to stop when he fucks you in earnest; desire, sticky and wet, dampening the coarse trimmed hair of his cock. the air inside the truck muggy, heavy and thick with sex. he places his hand under your navel, right when he knows he is, and grunts when he gently presses down. the noises coming from you and your sodden pussy are obscene, lewd, downright vulgar and he wonders if you'd let him record it- to replace the banal music he usually listens to.
your breath hitches beautifully, and simon makes sure to watch how you let go of his shoulder to weave that hand downward to take yourself over the edge.
"impatient little pet, can't even wait f'me to get ya there, eh?" the low chuckle he lets out is cut short at the feeling of your slick walls fluttering around him, making him groan. he keeps his sharp gaze on you when your body tenses, back arching as you jerk fast, little circles over your pearl. he plants his feet and begins to thrust upward, your weight nothing to his strength and-
how beautiful you look in the pleasure he brings you.
it's cliche, truly, that he comes when you do, but he couldn't care less in this instance. your cunt squeezes him like a silken fist, a tight vice that milks his cock almost painfully so. his grip around your waist is bruising, but it only adds to the sensation- the delightful bite of pain prolonging your pleasure.
the base of his spine tingles from his climax, and his breathing is ragged. alive. your hands skim the wide breadth of his chest, as if brushing off the dirt he'd once been buried under.
his little hero.
you took him home, so now he takes you to his.
(...don't look in the kitchen, pet.)

Here’s a lil pet peeve of mine. The pinch of salt that I will always have regarding DC. I get really annoyed whenever a new teams pops up and they compare themselves to others. Mainly the Justice League. No matter what it’s some character going ‘we’re different from the league, we’re a family’ boy shut up! Do I have to bring out TheChart(tm) of the friendships that came from the League?
stop making the teams feel like they’re in competition with each other. It’s weird.
Anyways those are just my thoughts.

everyone and their mother has written Jason being some flavor of half a or liminal because he was brought back from the dead.
Y’all know Superman died and was revived to? It was a Big thing in comic book history. Unsure how long he was dead but the general consensus is 2-4 months before he was resurrected.
My favorite and most important question, how long does it take Supes to realize his new ghostly abilities are ghostly in origin and not a repeat of his already consistently used powers.

A Blue Bird and a Black Cat pt 11
(Selina decides that Marinette would be better as the Cat than Adrien. Five years, later Dick is very confused about this Lady Noire)
Ao3. Beginning. Previous
Marinette stood on the roof of Pam and Harley's building, breathing deeply. She turned to see the Sirens smiling behind her, surrounded by the Kwami. It was time. She focused onwards and felt her energies, and for the first time in ten years, it was enough. Finally she was balanced. With equal parts creation and distraction, Marinette could finally act. And yet…
"Kitten?" Selena said softly. "We can do this some other time. It is not the end of the world if you're not ready."
"It's not that," Marinette softly, and she reached up to touch the simple black earrings that she had not worn in ten years. "It's just…It's just been so long. And the last time I did this…"
"Marinette,' Tikki said, flying up to eye level. "It's ok to be scared. The last time you were Ladybug, your life was completely unbalanced, and it hurt you. Just being Ladybug hurt you. It's ok to be scared of that."
Marinette smiled as the Kwami of creation nuzzled her cheek. And Harley said, "She's right, Sugah. Finding healing in the hurt is hard. But this is the next step. This is a part of you. So today, tomorrow, five years from now, it doesn't matter."
"We'll be here for you," Ivy declared.
"No matter what," Selina whispered, her face glowing with pride for her kitten.
Marinette had to blink tears from her eyes. She hadn't even done anything yet. She was just standing there. But these wonderful women were proud of her. They were proud of her for doing nothing, but being strong. And that…that was exactly what Marinette needed to hear. This was a part of her, as surely and as strongly as Lady Noire and Marinette. She was Ladybug, and nothing was going to take that away from her again!
"Tikki!" She cried more passionately than she ever had before, "Spots On!"
The world was bathed in a bright pink light and Marinette felt it, pure creation rushing through her veins. And Oh! How she had missed it! It was like being wrapped in a weighted blanket, warm, heavy, and grounding. It centered her with the earth, and she could feel the life around her in the air and in the ground. Her shoulders squared under the weight of responsibility, but it was not crushing…it was freeing.
It gave her confidence and strength, and it was empowering to know that she was responsible. She was the leader, the warrior, who would challenge the dark and lead the charge against the enemy. That was what being Ladybug gave her, a solid rock to stand on in the middle of the ocean. In a world of Chaos she was strong, because she was Order.
Marinette remembered the first time she had transformed. It had felt just like this. She had been so young, full of anxiety and self doubt, and her entire being was in chaos. But then she had transformed, and the energy of creation had transmuted her very soul into something powerful, and steadfast.
When had that weight become crushing? When did that responsibility become overwhelming? She couldn't remember. But she did remember the pain and the sorrow when she realized that the very thing giving her strength was destroying her. The knowledge had broken her as she clawed desperately for anything to help her stand up again, to help her live again.
That was when she met Selina. Selina had given her Plagg, and for the next five years, they had worked to free her soul. It was hard, and it was grueling work. But with Plagg she felt like flying. When she was filled with chaos, she was as light as a feather floating, above the clouds, far from anything that could do her harm.
But…her first love had been Tikki. Her first power had been creation. Her first strength was Order. And so as the weight of Order and the warmth of creation surrounded and filled her, Marinette smiled and cried tears of joy. Because it felt better than the first time when she was scared and full of doubt. It felt better than the second time when she was eager and full of determination. It felt better than ever before because it felt…
Like Home.
-----—-------------------
Nightwing panicked, so he ran. Which was absolutely the right thing to do because the…Thing was enormous and shooting lasers out of its fingers! One of which just happened to be cutting across the rooftop, he was standing on vaporizing everything in its path!
Nightwing felt the heat of the laser pass over him as he leapt from the ten story building. Instinct born of long, hard training was the only thing that kept him from becoming a splat of goo on the abandoned, car clogged street below. Instead he pulled out his gliders and drifted gracefully onto the top of a van, which he promptly flipped off of in typical Flying Grayson style (not that his present company noticed). They were all too focused on the Giant. Glowing. Thing trying to burn Jump City to the ground!
"You know Star," Nightwing said into his comm, "When you invited me to lead the Titans in a training session, you said it would be a nice, quiet weekend to get away from the Gotham crazy." The top of a nearby building exploded. "This is not Quiet!"
"I know! I'm sorry!" Starfire said through the comms, and in the distance Nightwing could see her attempting to blast the giant, light demon with little to no success. "Does anyone have any idea what this thing is!" She cried as she dodged one of it's brilliant white rays.
"I think," Raven said calmly as she elegantly floated down to stand beside Nightwing. "I'm not sure. But when my shadow connected with it, I thought it felt familiar. It…it felt like Dr. Light."
"What!" Beast Boy cried as a green elephant tried to knock the light demon off its feet with some success. "Mama, you need your shadow checked! There's no way that push over Dr. Light is this fool! I mean we can take that idiot down in our sleep."
Nightwing turned as Robin grappled down to stand on the other side of Nightwing, but it was Beast Boy he addressed, "If Raven says it's Light. Then it's Light. She's never been wrong before."
"Something must be amplifying his power," Starfire shouted, as she dodged a glowing fist.
"The Beetle's not picking up anything!" Blue Beetle cried as he attempted to blast the thing.
"It must be magic!" Cyborg said as his missiles failed to dent the Thing. "My scanners aren't picking up anything either."
"Man, I hate magic!" Kid Flash yelled from his position evacuating civilians.
"We need to find out what's amplifying him," Nightwing said. "Raven, can you sense anything off of him? An artifact, or curse, or something!"
"Don't bother!" A new voice, cool and confident, called from behind them. The three Titans spun, ready to fight the newcomer and froze.
The woman stood strong in blood red armor, lined in black. The breastplate seemed to be Chinese inspired, but it was cut for easy movement, and fitted to accentuate the woman's form. Her vambraces and pauldrons were the same, and revealed the slight but hard muscle of her arms. The base layer was scaled fabric of black and red that shimmered metallic in the light. But it moved with the woman, like a second skin, as she stepped forward in armored boots, also of black and red.
But what caught Nightwing's attention was her face. The woman's features were hidden by black mask lined with red that covered half of her face. Her midnight black hair was pulled back but blue in the wind, playing almost hypnotically with the red and black ends of her mask. However, what Nightwing found the most hypnotic was her eyes. They practically glowed inside her dark mask. Like sapphires in a lost cave when touched by a light for the first time.
Nightwing's breath caught as she walked towards them with the confidence and command of the strongest generals. With her regal appearance, piercing eyes, and easy confidence, Nightwing would have said she was one of the Amazons. She was certainly beautiful enough for it. But those thoughts were cut off, when Raven dropped down from her hovering knelt before the warrior, her deep purple billowing around her.
"Ladybug," Raven said in awe, "Grand Guardian of the Miraculous, I greet you in the name of Azarath. May the light of that most holy place surround you and bless you for honoring us with your presence."
Robin and Nightwing exchanged startled looks, but said nothing as they watched the two great women in front of them. On the other hand, Ladybug only seemed amused by this greeting, as she smiled gently and pulled Raven to her feet saying,
"You have no need to kneel to me, Child of Azarath. For though that realm is gone, its blessing lives in you. You who sacrifice yourself to keep the Great Demon at bay. For this and more, I will forever see you as my equal, and perhaps…my friend?"
Nightwing had never seen Raven smile. Oh there had been some small grins and soft smirks over the years. Only two people could get Raven to even attempt a chuckle. But for the most part she maintained a level of stoicism that he thought even Batman must envy. However, at Ladybug's words, the dark sorceress practically beamed with joy. It was such a bright and happy smile, that Nightwing thought it made the whole world brighter with it. The sound of explosions and crashing buildings shook Nightwing out of his reverie and he cleared his throat.
"Ladybug," he said, "I'm Nightwing. I've met your partner, Lady Noire, she said you were busy rebuilding the Order of Guardians."
Ladybug smiled warmly, but with a hidden spark that spoke of some deep secret Nightwing couldn't even begin to comprehend. "Yes," Ladybug said; she spoke with a slight French accent that seemed to elevate her words rather than middle them, "She told me about you too. You made quite the impression on her."
Nightwing felt himself grin slyly, "A good impression I hope."
"That all depends," Ladybug hummed.
"On?"
"On whether or not she was exaggerating, she tends to do that."
Nightwing couldn't help but laugh at that, as Ladybug's smile warmed his very soul. But before he could respond, Robin scowled saying, "If you too are done flirting. Could you tell us why you think Raven can't handle that monstrosity."
"Robin!" Both Nightwing and Raven hissed at him. But Ladybug only laughed clear and free saying,
"My apologies Robin. I didn't mean to degrade your friend. However, her magic would not work against that creature because it is powered by Miraculous."

"Really!" Raven said in a horrified whisper.
Ladybug nodded sagely, "Unless I miss my guess, it is the Miraculous of the Lion which has the power of amplification. If we turn off his lights, I'm willing to bet your enemy will appear dressed in a horrid lion costume."
"Why do you assume it will be horrid?" Nightwing asked, genuinely curious.
"Because," Ladybug answered simply. "He is clearly incompatible with it. Otherwise, his amplified power wouldn't be so…out of control. When a welder is incompatible with a Miraculous, their fashion sense essentially goes in the trash."
"So how do we get the Miraculous away from him?" Robin asked coldly.
"First we have to knock him unconscious," Ladybug began.
"Um, how?!" Beast Boy cried through the comms as the green elephant was thrown into a bus.
"BB asked–" Nightwing began, but Ladybug interrupted saying,
"I heard. I'm tuned into your comms. Starfire if you can keep your team distracting Dr. Light, me and these three will work to incapacitate him. I'll know the Miraculous when I see it."
"Very well," Starfire said, "I'm trusting you, Ladybug."
Ladybug nodded her understanding, and Nightwing was once again struck by her seemingly innate leadership. She was just so different from Lady Noire, who was all playful tricks, and mischievous looks. But he could still easily see them as friends, with Ladybug's gentle smiles and commanding presence. They were the perfect contrast. And since both women had black hair and blue eyes, they would probably look like sisters underneath the mask.
However, Nightwing pushed those thoughts aside as Ladybug reached for her waist. That's when he noticed that Ladybug only carried one weapon, her signature yo-yo, the only thing that hadn't changed from her Parisian days. They all watched as she called on her "Lucky Charm" and…a banana? Fell into her hands?
The four heroes blinked at the red banana with black spots for five seconds, before the Titans were caught off guard by Ladybug's light chuckle and nostalgic smile.
"God!" She said, "I missed this. Ok!" Her head darted up, as she quickly surveyed the battlefield her eyes darted faster than the Flash on a caffeine high. Finally her smile grew into a devious smirk that sent a shiver down Nightwing's spine. "I know what to do!" She cried, "But all of you are going to have to exactly as I say with no questions or deviations. We don't have time to build a report and we have to act fast and efficiently. Do you trust me?"
Robin opened his mouth to argue, but Nightwing cut him off saying, "Where do you want us?"
Her calculating eyes took him in immediately. She seemed surprised that he had caved so quickly. But Nightwing only let himself slouch as a sly smile played on his lips. He knew his role. Half the time he was the cool confident leader that pulled everyone together with a spur of the moment plan, and an off the cuff idea. But the other half of the time, he was the sidekick. The plucky comic relief that cut the tension with a joke and distracted the villain with sass and a wisecrack. He was not afraid to go back to his roots, not even in front of a beautiful and obviously powerful woman like Ladybug. Let her, Starfire, Wonder Woman, and anyone else take the lead. He'd make sure their plans succeeded and they won the day. That was his job, and he let Ladybug know it.
Nightwing saw the moment she understood, because the slightest bit of tension in her frame seemed to relax just a smidge as she nodded. She then began relaying her orders, and Nightwing watched in satisfaction her confidence only grew.

Phantom Fudge
I love the fics of Danny settling into Gotham and having some sort of business and just absolutely confusing the Batfam with how flippant he is about the crime.
My take is, instead of a coffee shop or bookstore or occult shop, Danny opens a fudge shop!
His parents taught him, and he found he actually really loved it, and besides, his dream of being an astronaut was out of reach due to his unique medical readings. In this au, his parents learned about him being Phantom and took it well after a good period of spiraling because-Holy shit they shot their son. You may be asking, Goggles, didn't you just make a post that was all about Jack and Maddie not taking the news well? Yes. Yes, I did.
I go back and forth with wanting to salt them and not. I like both.
So anyways, Danny is the heir to the Ghost Throne, but he won't actually take up the official title until his time on Earth is naturally over. After everything got better with his parents and his regular ghost fighting buddies, he actually was able to raise his grades and graduate. Many teachers were amazed at the progress but really, Danny may not have been as smart as his parents and sister (he is an unreliable narrator and is actually very smart just not as conventional as his family) but before his accident he had done pretty good in school. The GIW was still a thing, but without the Fenton technology, they weren't doing as well as they previously did. His parents broke their contract after they rescued him from the GIW labs, it was a little after he told his parents about his halfa status and they came storming in to save him and all the other ghosts that were captured. After that, life got so much better. His parents listened to him, and he got to teach them all about his people. They started publishing more papers with actually accurate information and were doing their best to overturn the anti-ecto acts. They haven't accomplished it, but Danny was sure they would.
That's actually why he moved to Gotham. Tucker had the idea of contacting the Justice League to help with the anti-ecto laws, but their calls weren't being answered. Neither were the...strongly worded emails Sam sent in. So Danny did what he did best and jumped into something not entirely thought out but hoping for the best. He moved to Gotham so he could get close to Batman and ask for help. He got accepted into Gotham University on a scholarship. But he wanted to make some money on his own without his parents sending him some kind of allowance, and he didn't want to work at Bat Burger. He started selling fudge around winter at his school, and he got permission to do so.
From there, he got enough money to actually open a small fudge cart. Then he got enough for a small shop near his apartment which was rather close to Crim Alley so he hired some working girls to help with the shop and he employed any Alley Kids looking for some cash as delivery workers. (They only delivered in Crime Alley, though, but that was fine with Danny.) Danny loved his little fudge shop that he lovingly named Phantom Fudge, and the sign had a cute little ghost eating some fudge on it. When he was in school for classes, he left the shop in his friend Ginger's hands. She had been a working girl before, but before that, she had had experience working a small mom & pop kind of shop, so Danny felt good leaving her in charge. When Ellie visited, she helped out with the shop too.
Danny was thriving. Then he started getting customers of the ecto variety because, of course, he would. Apparently, he was something of an ecto filter for the shades and ghost of Gotham, so they would visit his shop to soak up some of the pure ectoplasm in the air. Then he experimented and made some ecto-fudge, which is what he gave to any ecto beings that entered his shop. Most couldn't pay, but they would give him a heads up if they saw anything shady happening around his shop.
Like a little heads up that some robberies were happening in the area, or some rogue was getting close. It was a nice little system they had. Though some ghosts came in just to tell him their unfinished business and like...he wasn’t King yet, but these were his people, so he tried to help them out as best they could.
One particular couple showed up a lot and would ask him to help warn their son of any danger they heard was brewing. They would ask him to leave messages for the son or any of his kids but also the butler if needed. Danby thought this guy had some great parents. They didn't cross over because they needed to make sure their son was safe and taken care of. It was most likely that they wouldn't cross until their son did by the sounds of it. He got permission to call them Grandma and Grandpa, which was weird, but he didn't question it.
Martha and Thomas were nice spirits, so he had no problem helping them out. But Danny is Danny and his well-intentioned help of course caught the eye of the whole batfam.
They had been receiving letters in the Manor that appeared mysteriously. The first one they had all thought was a prank from the many people there. It was a simple, 'Don’t go to the gala. Something bad will happen.' That started it all. They were all baffled but laughed it off, and those who went to the gala didn't know how to feel when the seeming wait staff took over the event and held the guests hostage.
A coincidence surely.
Then they got another note, 'Freeze is planning to do a B&E and snatch some equipment from a Wayne lab. Idk which one since you have so many.' And just like last time, the note was speaking the truth. It continued from there, and everyone tried to capture whoever or whatever was leaving the notes, but any cameras they had glitched out before returning to normal and showing a new note had showed uo somewhere in the Manor. Bruce was going crazy trying to figure out who or what their messenger was.
Alfred once found a note that said, 'Tim has been awake and pushing himself too far. He is going to crash.' He took it to heart though and made Tim rest and take a break. He would not let the note happen. Tim had had far too many crashes the past couple of months.
The note that broke Bruce, though, was small in words, but it made him feel crazy. It was his parent's death anniversary, and when he went to visit the exact spot, he saw a sticky note on the floor. He shakily picked it up to see all it said was, 'It's okay.'
Now he is really worked up and determined to find the note messenger.
While that's going on, Danny also gets some local vigilantes visiting his shop, and he is so excited to see them and try and be their friend so he can ask for help. Plus they seem to be fans of his fudge and that just makes him happy.
The batkids thing the Phantom Fudge shop owner is suspicious, but hot damn did he make some bomb ass fudge.

With you now having young justice could you do them meeting a mutant buddy with the personality and powers of gambit from the x-men? (Also love justice league unlimited)
Mutant Buddy has entered!
Hope you enjoy!
Mutant Buddy with Gambit's powers with Young Justice
SFW, Platonic, Mutant reader
YOUNG JUSTICE
Buddy had been recruited to the Young Justice League after an incident with Gorilla Grod.
One that ended up a slightly sizzling gorilla, a laughing Flash, and a slightly burnt Lantern.
It was the two leaguer that managed to convince Batman to put them on the team after demonstrating their mini explosions with their deck of cards.
It might have also helped that Buddy managed to steal Green Lantern’s ring without him noticing it and giving it to Batman.
Despite all the confidence they rode on when Flash and Green Lantern introduced them, Buddy was anxious to be in front of these seasoned ‘sidekicks.
Their anxiety only grew with the looks and silent faces they were making at each other.
Thankfully, Buddy did know one of them.
He was their classmate in school.
And just so happened to be the one member who had just arrived late.
Kid Flash, Wally West.
He would later become the ‘olive branch’ to bring Buddy into the group.
Team that takes an almost instant liking to the newest member
These members believe that what Wally says about them being good is true straight away. While they are a bit cautious, they quickly learn that Buddy isn’t some one who would strike fear onto anyone. If anything, the only thing they are striking is their cards to any unsuspecting member who gets on their last nerve. Doesn’t happen often, mainly to Wally when his flirting and comments get out of hand. The members appreciate how Buddy balances the seriousness of certain situations while letting some fun lines slip every now and then. These members end up picking up a habit of carrying a few playing cards around in case Buddy needs them.
Kid Flash
Aqualad
Miss Martian
Buddy: “All right! 1…2…” M’gann from a safe distance: “Go!” Buddy starts throwing cards left and right while Wally tries dodging them. One manages to knock him off balance. Buddy walks up and offers him a hand up. Wally: “No fair! You put more kinetic energy in that last one!” Buddy: “Did not.” Wally: “Did too!” Buddy: “Did—”
SPLASH! Buddy and Wally blink feeling the water seep into their costumes. They look up to see a slightly giggling M’gann and smiling Kaldur raising another water ball over his head. Kaldur: “How about you continue with today’s training?” Buddy and Wally look at each other before smiling. Buddy getting their cards ready: “Oh, you came into the wrong game Kaldur! Ready West!” Wally stretching his arms: “Born ready!”
Team that takes a bit more time to get used to the newest member
These members take what Wally says with a grain of salt. They keep their distance from Buddy and their mini explosions. Since when does a hero do good with explosives? Some members have a personal distaste for the explosions near them. Once Buddy finds out their distaste for the explosions near them, they stop almost immediately. It’s a slow process which involves some missions and training time to finally get used to the newest member. These members try and teach Buddy different ways to defend themselves, so they don’t have to rely solely on powers to win.
Robin
Artemis
Superboy
Buddy looks a bit uneasy at Conner on the other side of the training mat. Dick and Artemis were watching from the sidelines. Buddy: “Listen Rob, with all due respect, WHY?!” Dick: “Everyone has to fight everyone Buddy.” Artemis: “Its good practice for future scenarios.” Buddy shuffling their cards nervously while looking at the Super: “Yeah but when am I supposed to fight a feral Conner? Conner’s a nice guy! Why would he attack his teammate?” Conner, Artemis and Dick look at each other: “…”
Buddy: “… My goodness… did that actually happen?!” Dick: “Buddy—” Buddy: “How many of you guys went feral on someone else?!” Artemis getting her comm line ready: “Buddy it’s okay—” Buddy: “What?! The next thing you’re going to tell me is a what if scenario where we fight the Justice League?” Everyone: “…” Conner: “Let’s just focus back on the training.” Buddy: “…Nope!” They throw a card to the wall and make their escape through the hole. Artemis: “Wally! Get your friend back here!” Buddy from down the hall: “I swear no one tells me these important details! I deserve to know!”

Little Sparrow
The idea of a spy reading runs through my mind, even more so when I remember Anna, Operation Red Sparrow and Agent Salt.
Tumblr media
The first idea that comes to mind is that you are the daughter of Bruce and a Russian spy.
Of course she never tells the man, after all it was just a setback that arose from their adventure, on the way to a mission.
She decides to stay with you and start a new life, something that didn't last long because her enemies killed her
Leaving you in the care of Russian spies.
You became his new masterpiece, after all your mother's and your father's blood created a perfect girl for this field of spies.
Murder, seduce and seduce important people, steal important information and other things, you were capable of all of that.
Until you were replaced, at such a young age you were used as a scapegoat for the United States government.
You ended up with all the scum, locked in jail, rotting.
Until intelligence agent Amanda Waller offers you to join her famous suicide squad, in exchange for getting out of jail. basically sell your soul to the devil again.
The other idea is that she is Bruce and Selina's daughter.
When they were just starting their relationship, Selina, worried about putting you in danger, left you in the care of one of her clients, a Russian millionaire, who has no children, but a wife who loves them.
You were everything they needed. They were a happy family, until the man's enemies kill the entire family, leaving you alive.
You become an orphan with no future, until some agents recruit you, remembering your great abilities and skills at school.
Whatever the case, you ended up in the suicide squad full of people more demonite than you.
What you didn't expect is that each of the members who are older than you see you as their little girl, whom they must protect.
The different members teach him to fight like them, to handle swords, to shoot...
Even Harley Quinn, the crazy psychopath as you nicknamed her, doesn't stop treating you like her little daughter and teaching you everything she knows. well you wouldn't complain you had fun stealing with her.
The problem was that when the Justice League found out about the new member of the squad.
The savior complex appeared, but it was too late for you, you liked this life of action and danger, much more if you could take revenge on those who betrayed you.
Oh I can imagine Bruce realizing that they are family, and everyone in the league being surprised, because his daughter is equally or more dangerous than Harley Quinn.
Imagine that the league and the squad get together because of some problem, they start fighting everyone against everyone, and reader, without imitating himself, is savage with all his opponents.
with a batman trying to stop his daughter and get her on the right path.
thinking that a loving family would make up for all the years she was raised as a lethal weapon.
maybe reader on a mission, alone where she faces young supers, a cute smile and a flirt, and has them in her palm.
Oh and I think, some obsessive ones.
