Hey anon thanks for your request. And I definitely love your idea. And I hope you enjoy what I came up with inspired by your request. Also disclaimer I have not seen this movie. But I have seen clips from it online. And I am definitely going to be watching his movie. But I definitely love the idea of writing this sort of fanfics. And Thai fanfic might be short fanfic for some people.

Warning: small amounts of kissing, and spelling mistakes. Tell me if I miss anything.
Y/n pov
(at the Library after school)
I was sitting with Jim Mason one of my classmates working on our project for history class. Actually I am nervous of working on this project with Jim, because I have a crush on this cute guy. Actually this crush has been going on for a while. And now we are partners on a history project.
And I can just get lost in his beautiful blue eyes, it is like looking at a beautiful blue ocean.
I just wish I could know if he feels the same for me. And maybe we can start a relationship together.
Jim pov
I canât believe that for my history project I get to work with my crush. This is exciting, but I am so nervous of making a ïżŒïżŒfull of myself in front of her.
And maybe today can be the day I tell her how I feel. Y/n has an amazing ïżŒïżŒlaugh, and I love the way y/n eyes shine in sunlight.
I could never get enough of this amazing person. And i hope that maybe we both have the same feelings for each other.
â hey y/n, I wanted to tell you something. Do you think we can take a break form this project?â I asked while I put close my history book for a moment.
â yes Jim. And we should totally take a break.â Y/n said while she also closed her book.
â Y/n I have feelings for you, like romantic feelings for you. And I hope you fell the same.â I said as my eyes look right at her. My heart is betting out of my chest.
âJim I feel exactly the same way about you. And I have been for some time. I am so happy you fell the same.â
ïżŒY/n just told me she feels the same way. I canât believe it. I feel my happiness is skyrocketing.
Y/n pov
Me and Jim have feelings for each other . I canât believe this is happening. All I want to do is jump up and down form happiness. And I want to know what its like to kiss this guy in front of me.
My head is leaning more into Jimâs head, my lips are moving towards his lips. And his lips are moving towards my lips.
When we kissed I can feel sparks flying and this is so magical.
I just canât believe this is happening. Omg, and canât believe we have the same feelings for each other. And I am so happy to know we feel the same.
And know we are officially boyfriend and girlfriend. I asked him to be my boyfriend.
This is one of the best days of my life.

Happy 28th to THE ROCK (1996), one of the best action movies of the 1990's in my opinion, and because I subscribe to the theory that John Mason is an older version of Sir Sean Connery's 007, I also consider it one of the best James Bond movies, too.

Top 25 films (of the second 250 I watched for this project)

Around two years ago I posted a top 25 list of the first 250 films I watched for this project. Since I have now watched another 250 films and discovered many new favorites, the time has come for a second top 25!
Without further ado, I present them in chronological order (because if I actually had to rank them this list would never get out of the editing stage):

The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938, dir. Michael Curtiz, William Keighley)
This movie is a storybook adventure come to life, charming, entertaining and beautiful to look at (I miss you, technicolor!). Errol Flynn has an unmatched energy as the titular character and Olivia de Havilland is the picture perfect leading lady, with the exact right mixture of grace and fire. This is may not be a particularly complex or groundbreaking film but it does what it does perfectly and taps into that childlike sense of wonder that few films manage so well.

A Matter of Life and Death (1946, dir. Emeric Pressburger, Michael Powell)
One of my most delightful discoveries since starting this project have been the films of Powell and Pressburger - I'm not sure what other directors could boast releasing three of the greatest films of all time in three consecutive years (those being A Matter of Life and Death, Black Narcissus and The Red Shoes). This film mixes a deeply moving love story with a metaphysical court room drama to great success and this strange mixture is mirrored in the film's form, with some experimental but mostly conventional cinematography.

Ace in the Hole (1951, dir. Billy Wilder)
As grim and cynical as it is sharp, this movie plays out like a feverish nightmare. I was honestly shocked at how dark this movie got, considering the time and place in which it was made, but that is absolutely what the story needed and I'm glad Wilder got to tell it this way.

A Star Is Born (1954, dir. George Cukor)
Has there ever been another star to reach the heights of emotional intensity that Judy Garland did in her time? I was lucky enough to see this movie on the big screen and I can't imagine watching it at home, because Garland is so larger than life, I can't see how a smaller screen could contain her. That's not to take anything away from James Mason, who gives a tragic and intense performance for the ages.

Johnny Guitar (1954, dir. Nicholas Ray)
Joan Crawford in your butch black shirt save me! Save me, Joan Crawford in your butch black shirt!
Bigger Than Life (1956, dir. Nicholas Ray)
Surprise, it's another Nicholas Ray melodrama! Ray had this habit of creating highly emotional stories that hid some sharp social commentary, but the commentary is barely hidden this time and it is shockingly subversive. Mason gives another intense performance but here it tilts fully into unhinged territory and he is terrifying to watch. The ending feels a little slapped on but it also feels like the only way Ray could get away with everything that came before.

Mon Oncle (1958, dir. Jacques Tati)
This movie feels like a precursor to Playtime, one of my all-time favorite films (incredibly novel opinion, I know). The sets are meticulously designed and a delight to behold, and Tati's performance as Monsieur Hulot (the titular uncle) is charming as always. I especially adore the contrast between the traditional and modern Paris, as well as the unconventional sound mixing that refuses to privilege dialogue, leaning into cinema's strengths as a visual medium.

Jules and Jim (1962, dir. François Truffaut)
This is by far my most recent watch on this list and it's still kind of percolating in my head but I loved it when I watched it and my fondness for it has been growing daily. It has that charming, youthful irreverence that the French New Wave is so known for, as well as one of the most complex depictions of a female character I've seen in french cinema.

What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962, dir. Robert Aldrich)
Bette Davis is one of my all time favorite actresses and this is one of my all time favorite performances. She puts everything into this role and the rest of the film compliments her perfectly; it's funny and dark, tragic and absolutely unhinged. And Joan Crawford is good too, I guess.

Tokyo Olympiad (1965, dir. Kon Ichikawa)
This blew my mind when I first watched it, seeing what incredible feats documentary filmmakers were capable of so early on in the genre's history. It is also the perfect counterpoint to Riefenstahl's earlier documentaries about the Olympic games; where she emphasized nationalism and feats of strength, Tokyo Olympiad focuses on the humanity of it and the power this event has to bring us together. Probably my favorite section of the film focuses on an athlete who was the sole representative of his newly independent country and who did not qualify for the finals in his field (unfortunately I don't remember the country or the sport). But just the fact that he made it to the Olympics, that he got to represent his country on the world stage, is an incredible feat in and of itself, and the film recognizes this.

The Wild Bunch (1969, dir. Sam Peckinpah)
This movie is everything a western should be - exciting, violent, and deeply critical of the ugly history it is depicting. The characters are not good people but they are compelling and incredibly fun to watch.

Woodstock (1970, dir. Michael Wadleigh)
Another mindblowing documentary that pushes the ability of the medium to its limits. It captures a unique moment in time, a spirit of rebellion and hope for the future that unfortunately feels worlds away from our current cultural landscape. It is also an incredible display of the emotional power of music. I cried during Janis Joplin's performance and it felt impossible to match, but then it is immediately followed by Jimi Hendrix and I could feel my soul descend to a higher plane of existence. It is my life's goal to see this film in the theater.

In the Realm of the Senses (1976, dir. Nagisa Ćshima)
Everything is sex, except sex, which is love and beauty and death all intertwined and impossible to separate.

Atlantic City (1980, dir. Louis Malle)
Rarely has a setting felt so integral to a film. Everything from the story, to themes, to the characters revolves around and is subservient to the setting of a declining Atlantic City whose glory days are far behind it. It is also a microcosm of American society at large, at least as people were experiencing it in 1980 (although it's pretty relevant today, I would say).

Gallipoli (1981, dir. Peter Weir)
This is the movie that definitively convinced me that anti-war films are indeed possible to make, just not in Hollywood (Come and See had me thinking this, but Gallipoli proved to me that it wasn't a unique feat of just one film). We barely see the war in this movie but it is all about the incredible tragedy of it.

Koyaanisqatsi (1982, dir. Godfrey Reggio)
I was completely expecting this movie to put me to sleep and instead, it was one of the most viscerally intense and haunting viewing experiences of my life. It is hypnotic in the very best way and somehow captures the ennui of modern life without a single word being spoken.

Paris, Texas (1984, dir. Wim Wenders)
This film is an intoxicating mixture of tenderness and brutality, and a deeply moving depiction of our longing to reach out and connect to one another. This is the other film on the list I got to see in the theater and the cinematography was absolutely breathtaking on the big screen.

Trust (1990, dir. Hal Hartley)
This is such a delightfully strange film, almost but not quite set in our reality. The strangeness makes the gentleness of the love story all the more touching; this is one of those movies that makes me happy to be alive.

Safe (1995, dir. Todd Haynes)
I have been kind of obsessed with this movie since I saw it, so much so that it will actually be a focal point in my master's thesis. Everything in the film, from the cinematography to the soundtrack to, especially, Julianne Moore's performance, builds to this overwhelming sense of anxiety and dread, and Haynes' refusal to give an easy answer (or any answers at all) makes it all the more unsettling.

Scream (1996, dir. Wes Craven)
I do like scary movies, yes. I especially like movies that are scary, funny, and feature a bloody final girl and (more than) a touch of homoeroticism.

The Blair Witch Project (1999, dir. Daniel Myrick, Eduardo SĂĄnchez)
Look at that, another scary movie! I am probably more susceptible to this movie's attempts at scares than most viewers, because I've only very recently started to build any kind of tolerance for horror, but it got me so good. The simplicity just makes it better; it may only do one thing but it does it very, very well.

Dancer in the Dark (2000, dir. Lars von Trier)
I'm always kind of hoping when I watch a new Lars von Trier movie that maybe I won't like this one, because I don't know what it says about me that I enjoy his films so much but I know that it can't be good. But this movie belongs just as much to Björk, who gives an incredible acting performance and an all-time great vocal performance. I was left a sobbing wreck; to this day, just humming 'The next to last song' to myself brings a tear to my eye.

Volver (2006, dir. Pedro AlmodĂłvar)
Penélope Cruz is a revolution in this movie, my god. She brings the emotional sincerity that the film needs to keep its elaborate plot grounded. As always, I appreciate Almodóvar's clear love for strong and complicated women, as well as the often messy relationships between them.

Phantom Thread (2017, dir. Paul Thomas Anderson)
I love a good twisted love story and it is beautifully told here. Form also compliments function to a tee; a story about an obsessive compulsion to create perfect art is mirrored in the absolutely meticulous cinematography and costuming. Daniel Day-Lewis gives the performance of a lifetime here and while I do miss seeing him in the theater, what a film to end on!
Roma (2018, dir. Alfonso CuarĂłn)
This is one of those movies where nothing happens, in that there isn't a traditional plot (events still take place, obviously), because it's about life, man. It's a type of film that needs a deft hand and a filmmaker with something to say, and CuarĂłn has both in spades. Funnily enough, this movie reminds me a lot of Paris, Texas; it has that same mix of tenderness and harshness that compliment each other.

Mattea Murdock, the Daredevil Drummer of Philly

In celebration of the forthcoming new Spider-Punk: Arms Race series (not to mention Hobie stealing scenes in "Across the Spider-Verse" last year), I wanted to finally write up my long-overdue overview post on Mattea Murdock! If you haven't read her introductory run yet, check it out here.
Mattea truly stands on her own in the wide canon of alternate universe DDs. She is a female Daredevil, she is Latina, and she somehow managed to escape Marvel's NYC gravity and base herself in Philadelphia, where she defends its citizens from violence and exploitation. Hobie and his self-styled Spider-Band encounter her in Spider-Punk (2022) #3, when they make a detour to fix the busted Spider-Van. They are all immediately-- and correctly-- impressed.

Mattea: "Yo, Kam!" Hobie: "Wait, you know each other?!" Kamala: "Duh! You think I wouldn't know the Daredevil Drummer of Philly?" Hobie: "You're a drummer too?" Mattea: "Best in town." Hobie: "Oh man, my friend Gwen is a pretty dope drummer too. I think y'all would definitely get along." Mattea: "Hope they're ready to get outplayed by a pretty, blind girl." Spider-Punk vol. 1 #3 by Cody Ziglar, Justin Mason, Jim Charalampidis, and Travis Lanham
I talked a little about her killer character/costume design when she was first introduced (I was a fool; of course she's blind), and my love for her look has only grown. It's badass, distinctive, and it slots her beautifully into Hobie's punk rock world while still evoking that trademark Daredevil image (red, sticks, pointy bits...). Her irises are red, which is a visual choice I enjoy in more heightened, fantastical DD stories/art styles, and I think it works for Mattea. Heck, I could even imagine them being colored contact lenses she's chosen to wear for the aesthetic. Also, one detail that wasn't in the previews is the fun little laughing devil face on the back of her jacket (I'm not punk rock enough to get the reference if it is one, but it reminds me of Darkdevil):

Of course, always a big priority for me is Daredevil's power-set, and Mattea provides a quick primer on her unique perspective, mostly focused on hearing and the radar sense:

Mattea: "What? You think just 'cause I'm a blind girl, I can't see? Echolocation, my abuelas used to call it. But it's more intimate. Instinctual. Can hear a kick drum from ten blocks away. Can see it too. If I think hard enough, I can even see what the garage it's being played in looks like." Hobie: "Yo, are you doing it right now?" Riri: "She's definitely doing it right now."
This is not my favorite description of Daredevil's powers, nor-- to be honest-- a particularly informative one. She can gather spatial information through walls...from ten blocks away? I also never love an overuse of visual language in any explanation of these powers, especially as it's implied that Mattea, like Matt, is completely blind. Surprisingly, no direct mention is made here of the hypersenses as a whole, beyond the reference to hearing a kick drum from ten blocks away. Even her hearing doesn't receive that much attention in the story overall, which feels like a missed opportunity for such a musical character. Her blindness, too, is pretty much irrelevant to the story, and never comes up again. But I do LOVE that she uses the term "echolocation", though is still very clearly the radar sense, in all its vague, undefined, semi-magic glory.
And visually? This is great. I'm always a fan of the cross-hatching visual, especially against a black background, and artist Justin Mason doesn't go too overboard on the detail, which is another preference of mine. And thematically, I love the ways in which Mattea's drummer identity is tied into her superheroics-- not just for laying a beatdown on bad guys, but also for channelling and enhancing her echolocation/radar sense. One of my favorite scenes in the comic is when she plays a drum solo on a roof edge to scope out the Kingpin's lair. I'm willing, in that moment, to ignore any gripes about radar sense irregularities out of respect for the coolness and thematic heft of the concept. I mean, this rocks:

Mattea: "Come on, show me the good stuff."
At the end of the day, though, this is not a Daredevil comic and Mattea is not the main character. Plus, it's only five issues long, and introduces a bunch of other new characters as well. There was only ever going to be room for the creative team to offer a cursory introduction, hopefully generating enough interest to prompt these characters to appear again in other comics. In that, I think they fully succeeded with Mattea; we get a cursory sense of her powers (or at least, enough to show that they're the normal DD set), her personality (delightfully cocky, playful, tough, fearless), a few hints of her backstory, and some truly kickass fight scenes. There's a bit of suspension of disbelief required to believe she can use drumsticks as a stand-in for billy clubs (unless her drumsticks are made of something really hefty-- and hey, maybe they are), but this is Spider-Punk. Hobie killed Norman Osborn with a guitar--twice. It's not about realism, it's about style.

Mattea: "Been waiting for this for a long time, Fisk. Real long time." Fisk: "I'm going to break you, li'l girl--AWGGH!" Mattea: "Big, strong man who sends out his band of wackos to push over people too weak to fight back." Fisk: "Wouldn't get too cocky, girlie...you're not the only one who's fast! I'm gonna hurt ya. A lot. Then I'm gonna kill ya. And I'm gonna love every second of it. You know, this is the same look you had when I had your old band clapped a few years back. I like it. Brings out your eyes--GAAAH!" Mattea: "There's something you need to understand about me, papi. I'm not the kinda girl who goes down without a fight."
I can't wait to see more of Mattea and learn more about her, her world, her friends, and her enemies. In particular, she seems to have a history (possibly romantic?) with this world's Kamala Khan, and I would love to see more of that relationship. While Mattea Murdock clearly has a lot in common with Matt Murdock, she also seems happy to be a team player, unlike Matt, and I really enjoy that. Though I guess it's not that surprising a distinction. After all, every drummer needs a band.

the lake house later that summer when Lola didn't show up for their weekend at the house and she had stopped responding to both he and Luke.
she didnât respond to them because she was in a different state, not california and not Michigan
sort of. instead of going to Michigan after the season, she spent a week or so in Arizona with Matty and then moved on to see someone else (im sure who yet) and then went to Mason and stayed with him for a while
at this time she doesn't know why Jack did what he did, so she is going through with cutting him out of her life and by association the rest of her family. she did talk with her parents (mainly Jim) up until she didn't show up
the boys thought her non-contact thing was because they were all getting busy with playoffs and not because she was planning on leaving.
but can you imagine when she didn't show up at the airport and luke is freaking out because where is she and then they have to tell their parents she's missing?

Books read in February 2025
Wind and Truth Brandon Sanderson đ” read by Kate Reading and Michael Kramer
The Thursday Murder Club Richard Osman đ
A Court of Thorns and Roses Sarah J Maasđ” read by Jennifer Ikeda
Lord Edgware Dies Agatha Christie đ
The Darwin Affair Tim Mason đ” read by Derek Perkins
Akata Witch Nnedi Okorafor đ” read by Yetide Badaki
Both Yetide Badaki and Derek Perkins are really good readers. If you're looking for a good audiobook to listen to find something read by Badaki, she's great.
I'm really enjoying Okorafor's The Nsibidi Scripts series. It's a fresh take on wizard school while tying in so much Nigerian and West African folklore and history. I love getting to learn about stories and culture that I haven't been exposed to as much in my life. I always enjoy when fantasy novels draw from folklore and it's been fun to see an author do that with folklore that I'm less familiar with.
More talk with spoilers about Wind and Truth below the cut.
Currently Reading
Storm Front Jim Butcherđ
Akata Warrior Nnedi Okorafor đ” read by Yetide Badaki
Wind and Truth was a great ending to the first arc of the Stormlight Archive. I like how the series works through various mental health issues that the characters are facing. I wish that I had this series when I was an anxious depressed teenager. I love that one of the main arcs is resolved with therapy.
There were things (well, thing) I wish were a little more resolved, like Gavinor being totally ignored at the end. I needed more with his story! He needs a hug! I am so upset that Jasnah doesn't remember him when she's feeling lonely; they have each other! I want to know about Gav and Lift's reunion. Hearing her feelings might change things for him. I understand why it wasn't in the book since it could be bulky but I have feelings!!!
Otherwise I really enjoyed most of the story endings, even if I want just a little more, I can imagine things and wait for the next arc to see if there might be answers. Part of me wishes I had a physical copy to go back through for the additional bits from Szeth's wife (whose name do not remember). Also listening to the book means I'm not 100% sure if it's "Knights" or "Nights" of Wind and Truth because both kind of work. I'm realising I can just look that up now...

Foursome AU - Andy Dolan, Jim Mason, Michael Langdon, and fem!reader // The Beginning âą Part 1 || 18+ to read
This is the beginning of a series I hope to continue on here! This is more the intro and backstory to how Jim, Michael, and Andy all met. They will meet reader in part 2 âš. Let me know if you would like to be tagged in future updates of this story!
(Warnings: mentions of drug and alcohol abuse, mentions of struggles with sobriety, nsfw topics, mentions of toxic family dynamics, mentions of internalized homophobia)
Andy Dolan was never one that formed attachments to people, not often anyway. Being a star in Hollywood, he saw some of the pettiest and greediest sides of humanity. No one, not even his manager, actually cared about him. They cared about what he could for them, how his fame could benefit them and their selfish desires.
Andy might not have been a saint before moving to Hollywood but once he moved back to Eden, anyone who knew him before his move to Hollywood could see the change in him. He was different. Colder, distant⊠mean.
It was Jim Mason that brought Andy closer to himself than he ever imagined was possible.
Jim had just graduated from Eden University. After high school, Jim couldnât take being in PV anymore. It was Medina that gave him the final push he needed to leave. Medina made plans to leave as soon as she graduated high school. Jim was slower on making any plans to leave. He felt an obligation to stay and help his mom. His dad had already seemed to have moved on from their family with his new family and his mom was stuck drowning in the past of their marriage. But she was pulling him down with her in her toxic cycle of self destruction and mania.
Jim promised that he would at least look at colleges out of state, even out of the country if he wanted it. They knew Sandy wouldnât be happy about it but if she didnât help support Jim through college somewhere else, Phil would. Thatâs the least he could do after the destruction he caused, the destruction they were still suffering from.
Along with Hawaii and Fiji, Jim heard of another place with waves that surfers from all around the world traveled to see. A town called Eden. There was a discounted rate for flights to the town of you were coming on grounds to tour the local college. Jim would quickly learn that Eden was a small town, the college he was interested in was the only one in town.
Plus, Jim had already long wanted to go to Australia before considering the college there. He added it to his bucket list a few years back when he drunkenly decided that he wanted to fight a kangaroo. That didnât end up happening on his trip to Eden but what did happen is that he fell in love with the simplicity of Eden. In many ways, it was the complete opposite of Palos Verdes.
There wasnât anything picture perfect about Eden. No standards to live up to, no one to impress. No more would be the days of watching people around him stress themselves about how their yards looked and what the neighbors thought of them. For the most part, everyone seemed to stick to themselves.
He also noticed a great amount of people barefoot there, with striked him as strange. But it oddly enough gave off a welcoming surfer vibe that only eventually cemented his admiration for how laid back the town was. He needed to be as far away from chaos as possible after the years of being plagued by endless surges of it.
Andy moved to Eden during Jimâs sophomore year at Eden university. Andyâs return to Eden was all the rage in the small town so rarely filled with anything gossip worthy. Rumors of Andyâs drug addiction, temper, and custody battle with his ex wife for their young child was all that was discussed in the whispers of the town for weeks.
Finally Jim got invited to a party at Andyâs house. He met Hedwig a few weeks before Hedwig became Andyâs⊠roommate, whatever they were. His first year into being in Eden, he decided to get clean from the drugs and the alcohol addiction that would consume him whenever he wasnât filled with pills. That led him to the wellness center ( the closest thing to rehab in Eden ). Hedwigâs best friendâs mom ran the place. On his second day at the center she tried to sell him something. It surprised him how bold she was about it, how nonchalant. He liked that about her.
Now three years later, they were all apart of the same friend group. Hedwig invited them all to the party she was throwing for Andy, on the condition that everyone played it cool and to not invite anyone else. That ended up being ignored by most of the group when a party for maybe 20 people became a party for more than 60.
Jim however did not invite anyone else. Everyone he really knew in Eden was going anyway.
Jim didnât go to parties as much since he got clean. Being surrounded by the alcohol and drugs that were bound to show up at parties just wasnât what he wanted to call a good time anymore. But he couldnât pass up the chance to see Andy Dolanâs mansion. It was on the far edge of town, practically cut off from the rest of Eden. The property screamed elusive and mysterious, just like the actor did.
Jim couldnât find any drinks that werenât alcoholic. He figured that there would at least be some sodas or something but no, nothing. Not even water, which concerned him the more he saw how wasted people were getting.
Finally he goes looking for something away from the refreshments table. He needed something to keep his mind busy because if he didnât have something to distract him, the itch to get drunk, or worse, would get stronger.
That led him to walking into the large kitchen. âHoly shitâ He mutters under his breath. The kitchen was almost as big as his dorm room, his shared dorm room. He had seen wealth in Palos Verdes but he had yet to see a mansion like this. He was getting more and more glad he came to this party. He had to admit, it was a solid party. The music was loud, booming off the tall walls of the mansion, and people were having fun. He hasnât seen the person this party is supposed to be for though. Nothing, not anyone or any candles on a cake waiting for him to make an appearance.
He pushes past his disbelief of the size of the kitchen and moves towards what he came for, the fridge. Even the fridge was huge. âDamnâ, he snorts. He quickly scans the kitchen and sees a couple sitting on the island countertop, too lost in making out to even notice he was there. Perfect. He opens up the fridge and sees what heâs looking for. Water, sodas, juice, sports drinks⊠pretty much anything he could ask for to help him make it through tonight.
âAwesomeâ
He reaches in and grabs a sports drink. He was never huge on sports drinks but seeing everyone so drunk, bound for killer hangovers tomorrow morning, is almost making him subconsciously crave electrolytes.
Just as Jim is pulling the drink from the fridge, he hears a voice. He knew it instantly⊠his friends had a game of watching his movies and betting on how many times he would smolder. It was almost a signature thing he did every movie he was in, enough to be made into a game that was endlessly entertaining for him and his friends.
It was Andy dolanâs voice.
âWho the hell are you and why are you in my fridge? Who the fuck let you in here?â Jim stands there in shock, not knowing what to do or say. He was starting to think Andy was a no show at his own party. He certainly didnât expect this to be the way he met him. Jim chuckles awkwardly, getting ready to apologize, but Andy continues to voice his frustrations. âI told security no more guests.. Fucking vultures⊠and of course itâs an American. Of course it is!â Andy laughs bitterly. It wouldnât take a genius to see that heâs drunk.
Jim awkwardly closes the fridge, a bit surprised at the intensity of Andyâs response. âSorry. Uh⊠I didnât see any sodas out there so I-â
Andy scoffs, âwhat, you decided to just help yourself?â Andy looks at him with pure judgment and annoyance. Jim is starting to get a little annoyed with Andyâs temper but he reminds himself that yes, this isnât his house. He didnât have any right to treat himself. Jim sighs, âIâm sorry, man⊠Iâll put it backâ
Jim moves to put the soda back but a little hum from Andy makes his attention go back to the actor. Andy is now looking at him with intrigue, the judgement fading slightly from his gaze. âYou can have it⊠but I want a favor in returnâ
Jimâs eyebrow raises. âWhat kind of favor?â
That favor led to Jim and Andy alone in his bedroom with Hedwig. Andy managed to find Hedwig in the sea of party âguestsâ quickly trashing his house. He made an offer she couldnât refuse.
Andy and Hedwig had an arrangement as roommates. She let him go down on her every once in awhile in exchange for money and a place to stay. It was mutually beneficial for the two and the agreement had been going strong for a solid few months now. Andy wanted to add something new to the agreement⊠and that something new was Jim.
He offered Hedwig double the price he normally gave her for when it was just them, and he offered him double that.
At first when Andy brought up the idea, Jim was totally against the idea.
âAre you insane? We just met! No. Fuck no.â
But when he saw that Hedwig was the person in question that they would be with that night, his tone changed a little. Jim and Hedwig had been together a few times for meaningless hookups. Hedwig never wanted anything serious so Jim just enjoyed the times they had when they had it and that was that. They hadnât hooked up ever since Hedwig moved in with Andy. Jim wouldâve been lying if he said he didnât miss it.
So, Jim agreed.
The night brought both all three of them pleasure like none other. It opened up a new world for Jim. That night is when Jim discovered he was bisexual. What was once an actor that Jim joked about, became his discovery to parts of himself he never would have thought was there.
Those sessions of Andy paying Jim steadily became more and more frequent. Eventually Jim wasnât needing to ask for help with money from his parents anymore. But it wasnât just about the money. Not for Jim or Andy.
When Hedwig moved out to go to college with her best friend Scout, Jim thought he would never hear from Andy again. It wasnât a week later though that Andy invited him over.
Without the attention being on Hedwig, they discovered new realms of pleasure all over again. Over and over again. Months later, Andy finally invited Jim to move in with him. Jim just graduated college so he didnât have a dorm to stay in anymore. That wasnât the only reason he agreed to move in with Andy, but at the time he had convinced himself that it was.
They helped each other grow in ways that were subtle at first. Andy quickly took notice that Jim was uncomfortable with him being on drugs. Jim didnât say anything but the more times Jim left the room when Andy would pull out his pills, the more times Andy grew to realize he missed Jimâs presence.
Andy began easing up on the pills. He met up fewer and fewer times a week with his dealer until eventually he started dodging his dealerâs calls.
He drank scotch on occasion but otherwise he learned from Jim the ways they could let loose and have fun without alcohol. And with not being exposed to the drugs and alcohol as often, Jimâs sobriety became easier. Having Andy as a support system of sorts was something he began to lean on and appreciate.
Both Jim and Andy had forms of toxic masculinity that they struggled with. Jim was constantly told in his teen years that he was the man of the house. He didnât have the luxury of discovering himself before responsibility floored him and his mind. When he wasnât stuck at home being the man of the house, he was around the bay boys who were as rough as they come. He remembers a comment one of the bay boys said once about gay men and he cringes to this day thinking about it.
So needless to say, he wasnât around supportive people.
In Hollywood, if you so much as wear rings on your finger or showcase nail polish on your hands, rumors can spread about your sexuality. For more of the toxic directors and casting agents in Hollywood, those rumors could be the one thing that gets your part passed up to the next person if it doesnât go with the image of the character youâre playing.
So Andy repressed any feelings of being anything other than stereotypical âstrong and manlyâ for his roles. He didnât feel like he could afford any disadvantages, especially with the press he was already getting during his divorce.
In the privacy of Andyâs mansion in Eden, Andy and Jim got a place where they could be themselves without anyone to perceive or judge them. They discovered the things they were suppressing all along.
Eventually Jim started to grow uncomfortable with Andy paying him every time they were together. It wasnât just about the money or just about the sex for Jim. Jim enjoyed their time together. He insisted that any money Andy would want to pay him could be marked up as Jimâs rent to stay there. Andy wasnât happy about it but he reluctantly agreed once Jim got upset enough about it.
Andy wasnât used to people not wanting him for his money or his fame. It put him on edge and made him feel vulnerable. Why would someone want him for him? There had to be an ulterior motive, he had convinced himself. As much as he enjoyed his time with Jim, he didnât trust it.
Thatâs until they met Michael Langdon. Michael was traveling to Australia on business for the cooperative. The majority of his outposts were built in the United States. He wanted to change that to have a minimum of 7 spread out across the globe. As much as Michael disliked humanity as it was, people were a resource to building a better world. That included having people of different cultures and perspectives. From a business perspective, he couldnât ignore that.
Michael was just leaving a meeting with the people the cooperative assigned to creating outpost 15 in Eden. The bunker was being built in preparation for the 2020 apocalyptic fallout. Michael wasnât pleased with the meeting. Not a single person in the town of Eden met up to his standards of professionalism. Half of the people in the meeting were wearing casual daywear and it irked him. This isnât how he conducts business and it made him question his plans of having an outpost in Australia.
As he was walking out of the building, he senses something. He could feel them before he saw them⊠an intoxicating mixture of desire and turmoil. It was at an intensity like nothing he had seen before. It drew him in, his brows furrowing as he prepares to find the source. His magic tingles in his fingertips as he looks around. Then, bingo. Across the street lies the beach of Eden, where Jim and Andy were.
Jim was attempting to teach Andy to surf. Andy said he wanted to give it a try and Jim was more than happy to teach him. More excuses for Jim to touch Andy when correcting his posture on the board. Jim was redirecting Andyâs foot for the 5th time, trying to show him proper placement to stand on the board. Andy was getting impatient. He was used to success, even in the smallest of ways. Being corrected so many times was setting him off.
âI got it, I got itâ Andy huffs. Jim could see Andy biting his lip in frustration and it was making him feel things. Jimâs eyes travel down to Andyâs lips, staring a little too long to not be noticeable. Andyâs eyes darken with lust.
Michael can sense their emotions⊠feel the way each of them were holding back in their own way. Jim, repressing the feelings he truly felt for Andy. Jim was falling in love with Andy, without realizing. Andy had become enchanted with Jim but his internalized homophobia didnât allow him to feel it. Andy just chalked it up to Jim being a nice distraction. But it was more than that for the both of them.
Michael decided to try something, a little experiment. He walked over to the beach, cringing a little as the sand made contact with his designer shoes. He could buy new ones but it still stung a little. He goes and sits on a nearby bench, just far enough away from them to observe and not be seen.
His fingers continue to tingle with magic. He channels that magic to absorbing some of the feelings swirling between Jim and Andy. He lifts enough of those feelings away so that Jim and Andy can see each other for how they really feel.
But something unexpected happens, something Michael wasnât even predicting. Jim notices Michael. Jim looks on curiously, eyeing him up and down as subtly as he can without Andy noticing. After a few minutes, Jim went back to helping Andyâs form on the surfboard and that was that. A second of admiration.
Michael was used to people fearing him, sucking up to him in fear of angering him. That moment of admiration was small but it was not insignificant.
Michael decided to stay in Eden for a few more days, give the town a shot at salvation if he deemed it worthy for one of his outposts. But that wasnât really the reason he was staying. He wanted to offer Jim and Andy a shot at salvation⊠a shot at a new world, with him.

what the eff are restaurant playlists???
okay so. why is it that every time i go to a restaurant (hardly ever, but likeâŠ), they play the absolute whackest music ever. like brah. we are eating like piggies at monatanas and the music goes from addison rae clubby pop to hardcore country. (i wrote country while pronouncing it as âcuntreyâ to add to the tang). itâs auditory whiplash. i feel like my ears are sat on montrealâs âednörâ, if you know you know.
i find it disturbing that, whilst iâm trying to hack down some ribs and wings with my bare hands like the disgusting, hardworking woman i am, my ears need to be assaulted by the deplorable hell that is this playlist. i need to speak to the person controlling the stereo. actually, allow me to reword that previous sentence â i need to speak to the diabolical FREAK choosing what songs to add to the queue. oh, would you look at that! we were just listening to some awful, in my opinion, luke combs (who in their right mind thinks they can cover tracy chapmanâs âfast carâ and do it justice? certainly not you, mr combs), and now weâve got âpoker faceâ by lady gaga.
i would just like to say, if i was dj-ing i would NOT let that slide. my music would be consistent. if i wanted some folky-country, i would play some john denver, john prine, gordon lightfoot, jim croce, johnny cash, etc⊠bring out the whole ocean! if i wanted to get people in a dancing mood, i would strictly play early 2000s rihanna. and maybe, if i was feeling spicy, i would play imagine dragons. thunder, feel the thunder.
lightning, then the thunder. (thunder!)
okay so another interesting theory⊠the cliche millennial interior design that looked like it was sharted out of a bartending hipsterâs booty. dim lighting? check. the twinkle lights in the mason jars? check. bar stools littered everywhere? what the heck is going on. my posture is genuinely terrible, so i donât appreciate having it on full display for all the other rib enjoyers in my vicinity. (âwhy not just fix your posture, sadie?â how about you shut your face. thanks).Â

SEPTEMBER 5 (2024)
Starring Peter Sarsgaard, John Magaro, Ben Chaplin, Leonie Benesch, Zinedine Soualem, Corey Johnson, Georgina Rich, Marcus Rutherford, Daniel Adeosun, Benjamin Walker, Ferdinand Dörfler, Solomon Mousley, Daniel Betts, Jeff Book, Leif Eisenberg, Rony Herman, Robert Porter Templeton and archival footage of Jim McKay and Peter Jennings.
Screenplay by Moritz Binder and Tim Fehlbaum.
Directed by Tim Fehlbaum.
Distributed by Paramount Pictures. 94 minutes. Rated PG-13.
Screened at the 2024 Philadelphia Film Festival.
Fifty-two years later, living in a 24-hour media world, itâs a bit hard to imagine that the terrorist attacks on the 1972 Munich Olympics â in which a Palestinian militant organization called Black September held the Israeli Olympic team hostage â was pretty much the first time that the whole world watched tragic news occurring in real time on television.
Yet that is the history. This slightly off-center look at the events of those days â as seen at a distance by the broadcasters who were covering the story rather than the terrorists, or the victims, or even by German law enforcement â makes for a fascinating look at both the tragedy and at the work and ethics of journalism.
This second part is particularly interesting because in general the journalists covering what happened were not newsmen, they were sports reporters covering the pageantry of the event when it took a sudden very dark turn. However, they were the only ones there to let the world know what was happening. (Future anchorman Peter Jennings, who at the time was an ABC News correspondent, was on the scene and played a big part in covering the story, too.)
The horrible events of that Olympic season were one of the first times that the world experienced terrorism in such stark terms. However, September 5 does not look too deeply at the politics of the occurrence, or even the specifics of what happened â as said earlier, this was a look at the hostage crisis from the outside.
It does show the essential incompetence of the German law enforcement. This happened less than 30 years after the end of World War II, and the country looked at the Olympics as a chance to repair the countryâs image, and the idea of 11 Jews being held hostage on their soil so soon after the Holocaust certainly worked against that narrative.
However, the most important narrative drive is with the journalists, trying to navigate an extremely horrific and tricky situation. They donât always get it right â it took them a bit too long to realize that the terrorists were using their broadcasts for information, too â but the people in front of and behind the camera are doing their best to keep the world informed.
The hero â if there is any hero of the story â was Geoffrey Mason (John Magaro), an ABC Sports overnight producer who was new to the job when he was suddenly thrown in way over his head. Having to negotiate the responsibility of sharing the news with the ethics of his profession, he also had to deal with interference from the Germans, the police, and of course the Olympic committee.
September 5 is full of spectacular acting, although for the most part the cast is relatively lesser known. (Peter Sarsgaard as exec Roone Arlidge and Ben Chaplin as producer Marvin Bader are probably as close as youâre going to get to Hollywood types in the cast.) It is tightly filmed by Swiss writer/director Tim Fehlbaum and works both as an enlightening history lesson and as a taut narrative.
September 5 is an extremely intense thriller, even though most people do know the final outcome. In fact, that knowledge only adds to the gravity of the film. Expect to see this one in lots of year-end best-of lists.

Dear friends,
With seasons greetings, I am sending along this essay, inspired by a favorite holiday movie. Many friends shared their memories to help me write this back in 2020 -- Chris Brescia, Jan Dudones, Jim Griebsch, Bunk Griffin, Howard Riley, Jim and Keela Rogers, and our dear friend, Natalie Leduc, who, on December 8, 2020 came to the end of her truly wonderful life. We still miss her.
Best wishes from all of us at Historic Saranac Lake.
Amy Catania
--------------------------------
It's a Wonderful Life, Tony Anderson by Amy Catania
"Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole.â â Itâs a Wonderful Life, 1946
This is a good time of year to watch Itâs a Wonderful Life. Bedford Falls brings to mind Saranac Lake, and George Bailey reminds us of the wonderful lives of Saranac Lakers from the past like Alton âTonyâ Anderson.
Tony Anderson fell ill with tuberculosis while working as a toolmaker in Southington, Connecticut. As a member of the Masons, he received financial help to come to Saranac Lake for treatment in 1919.
âI came here to die,â Tony used to say. Facing death, Tony received a gift, a chance to imagine the world without him. He made his home here and dedicated his life to giving back. He served as village mayor for nine terms. He worked as a volunteer ambulance driver and a plane spotter on top of the Hotel Saranac during the war. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Elks Club, the Rotary, the Boat and Waterway Club, the hospital board, and the blood bank.
Each afternoon, Tony went home to his modest house on South Hope Street and sat on his porch in a cure chair. âBest seat in the house,â he called it. After his afternoon rest, he would go back to the theater for the shows.
Saranac Lake in the 1950s was a picture postcard of Bedford Falls. Everyone knew each other. Kids played together outside through all seasons. Downtown shops bustled year-round. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise was five times thicker than it is today. The theater, the radio station, civic organizations, and places of worship knitted the community together. Like the shadow of death cast by tuberculosis, the horrors of WWII inspired an appreciation for life and a sense of civic responsibility.
But forces were afoot that were beginning to devastate small towns around the country. Everywhere, industry and manufacturing were closing up shop. In Saranac Lake, the TB business came to an end. Jobs dried up and families left. Across America, suburban development was eroding downtown retail. Television offered solitary entertainment that took the place of public activities like going to the movies.
By the late 1960s, Tony Andersonâs beloved theater had fallen on hard times. The impeccably dressed ushers were gone, and, much to Tonyâs chagrin, on Wednesday nights the Pontiac was showing titillating foreign films that reflected changing social mores. It seemed that only the bars were prospering. More and more, town was looking like Pottersville, Bedford Fallsâ evil twin in the movie. Then, on December 19, 1978, a massive fire devastated the Pontiac Theater. Three years after the fire, Saranac Lakeâs longest serving mayor died at the age of 82.
Itâs a sad ending to Tonyâs story. Real life usually doesnât get a Hollywood ending. Saranac Lake will always have plenty in common with Bedford Falls and Pottersville. And unlike George Bailey, most of us wonât ever meet our guardian angel.
But âItâs a Wonderful Lifeâ reminds us that, even in the midst of regret and loss, we can find beauty and purpose in daily life. This is one of the most important things we do at Historic Saranac Lake, we honor the lives of the regular people who came before us. We pay attention to people like George, Ernie, Bert, Mary, Mr. Gower, Martini, Harry, the woman at the bank who asks for only $17.50, and even Mr. Potter. We remember Natalie Leduc, Mary Hotaling, Andy Rawdon, Jane and Walter Webb, and Tony Anderson.
Merry Christmas, movie house! Merry Christmas, Emporium! Merry Christmas, you wonderful old Building and Loan! Happy Holidays, Saranac Lake!
Saranac Lake students presented about Tony Anderson at his grave in Pine Ridge Cemetery in 2019, part of Historic Saranac Lakeâs annual 5th grade history tour.Â

Adrian hates horror movies
Every Time We TouchâAdrianâs not a fan of having people touch him. The more that he gets to know you, the more that he warms up to the idea of people, namely you, crossing that boundary.
(Or, Five times you touched Adrian Chase and he realized he might not be touch-averse, and one time where he said âfuck itâ and touched you first.)
Right Where You Want MeâYou probably should have told Adrian that you know how to shoot a gun the second that he revealed he was going to teach you. But you canât deny that having Vigilante with his arms wrapped around you to help you hold the gun is tantalizing.
The 11th Street Kids Go UndercoverâOn a mission to stop the formula for creating metahumans from falling into the hands of Lexcorp, you and Adrian are paired up. A fake date with the guy that you have a crush on is surely just another day at the office.

The Good Kind of ButterfliesâAdrian realizes he has a crush on you. He doesnât take it well.
Unexpected GuestsâAdrian tries to keep his work life separate from his personal life. Until one day when his work life literally shows up at his front door.
Who Helps the Helpers?âWhen you come down with a nasty cold, help comes to you in the most unlikely of forms. Though itâs not who you were expecting, you certainly canât say itâs unwelcome.

All of this Stan Vogel stuff is making me think about camping. What do you think all the Cody boys would be like if their s/o forced them to go on a camping trip?
this was a lot of fun to do!
-
it's not news that michael langdon spent a few days in the woods prior to stumbling across the satanic temple and he's made it very clear that he would rather not go through any of that again. but the apocalypse was soon to come, and the world, as everyone knew it, would cease to exist. no more beautiful sunny days or lush green meadows full of flowers native to the area - all of which you loved dearly. so michael didn't put up a fight when you asked him to spend one last weekend out in nature, despite hating the idea with every fiber of his being. instead, he simply enjoyed the next few days with you at your favorite spot by the lake, deciding if ending the world was something he absolutely wanted to go through with.
as for duncan shepherd, he is completely revolted by the idea of camping. when you had mentioned you wanted to go on vacation, he figured it was to bora bora or maybe even paris, not a campsite in west virginia. several days out of D.C., in the middle of nowhere, with no cellphone reception, and no wifi is not his idea of a fun time and he makes it his mission to get you to change your mind. you don't, of course, and can't help but giggle at his pouty faces and complaints about how bugs shouldn't even exist.
jim mason, on the other hand, is all for a weekend of camping. before his family moved to palos verdes, camping trips were a regular occurrence for him - when things were a lot simpler. he sees this as an opportunity to show you who he really is, down to his roots. he takes care of packing the basic camping essentials and setting up the tent once at the campground. the next few days are filled with him teaching you how to fish and you showing him which constellations are which come nighttime.
we all know our boy stan vogel would never object to camping, however, he is completely shocked when the idea slips from your mouth. after all, he is always the one doing the initiating while you whine and groan about how he needs to get a new hobby. he goes above and beyond to make sure every single thing (whether needed or not) is packed because, "you never know, babe. stranger things have happened in these woods. not that i can tell you what, exactly, it's all confidential."
the first time you asked xavier plympton to go camping, he laughed in your face. "me? camping? babe, the outdoors and this hair do not get along," he says, pointing to his perfectly styled locks. after a few bats of your lashes and, "please, xav?" in that voice he finds so adorable, he eventually gives in. once he's out there, he finds himself enjoying the peace and quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of L.A.
the stars and planets have to align in order for andy dolan to agree to a camping trip. every day with him is spent walking on egg shells, not wanting to upset him with the mere mention of doing anything other than staying home and doing blow all day long. you want to get out and enjoy some time away, thinking itâll do the both of you some good. much to your surprise, he agrees, without much effort needed on your part. heâs actually excited to get out of eden for a few days and away from the watchful eyes of the paparazzi.

Hello hi ! Can you do a Dady baby Jim mason ? Like the reader have a baby with Jim but theyâre not together and y/n had a new boyfriend, and Jim comes to take the baby to spend the weekend but when y/nâa boyfriend go to work , Jim fucked y/n in the shower please đ„ș I love ur fic btw!
Youâd met Jim Mason at a wild party on the beach, almost two years ago. That is where the whole mess began, reallyâyouâd both been really drunk, you were both insanely attracted to one another, and you both acted on that attraction. A couple months later, you found out that you were pregnant. You told Jim, of course, who was shocked but also supportive of your decision to keep the baby. The two of you decided not to have an actual relationship, but he was still in your life because of the baby. He went to all the appointments, was there for the first kick, and was even by your side when the baby was born. You gave birth to a darling baby boy, whom you named Christopher, and who was the apple of Jimâs eye.
But that bliss was short lived as soon as you got a new boyfriend.
Jim was crushed, and visibly upset when he discovered the news. It was a few months after Christopherâs birth, and Jim thought that was too soon to be dating someone. But after a minor argument about it, Jim came around and everything was fine between the two of you again. He still didnât like the circumstances, but he had come around to the situation at hand much more easily. And while you did have someone else in your life now, there was still the matter of Jim and how attracted you still were to himâand, unbeknownst to you, how he felt the same.
Then came a weekend when Jim was supposed to have the baby, and he showed up on time as usual. As always, your boyfriend was at work at the time, and you were home alone. Christopher was with your family at the moment, and you hadnât a clue when he would be brought back, but you still invited Jim inside and told him to make himself at home while you waited.
âIs Big, Tall, and Stupid at work?â Jim asks, a smirk on his lips that soon dies when he sees the glare you throw at him. âSorry. I just donât like that guy.â
âYouâve made it very clear,â you tell him. âBut you could still try to be a little nicer.â
âI canât help it,â Jim says with a deep sigh, rubbing his face. âI justâŠâ
âJust what?â you ask gently. âYou can tell me anything, Jimmy. You know that.â
His full attention is on you at the sound of his nickname, and he runs a nervous hand through his hair. âI justâŠI donât know. I wish it could have beenâŠyou and me.â
You look down at the ground. âJimmy, you know what happened with us was justââ
âDrunk sex?â Jim asks, and his tone carries a bit of anger with it. âThatâs bullshit and you know it, Y/N. We had a child from that night, and you know our feelings run much deeper than just fucking lust.â
You keep your eyes on the floor, too scared and ashamed to look up at him. âOf course it wasnât just drunk sex,â you say. âIâm sorry I said that. I justâŠItâs been so long since thatâs happened. We have both moved onââ
âNo, /you/ moved on,â Jim says bitterly. âWith some joker who doesnât love you, or /our/ son. But I do, Y/N; I love you both more than Iâve ever loved anything or anyone before.â
Youâre silent for a long time, trying to process everything he is telling you. Of course you loved him, too; you always had. But it wasnât as simple anymore, because you had a boyfriend to consider. Even if you did not love him as you loved Jim, he was still someone with feelings. Even still, a life of potential happiness with Jim was better than one of potential misery with the other man, and you knew it.
âI love you, too,â you say, and have to repeat yourself a bit louder as he gestures that he did not hear. âI love you, too! I always have, for as far back as I can remember. Butââ
âNo,â Jim says. âNo buts, Y/N.â
âYes,â you say, tears in your eyes. âI love you, but we canât be together. I have another man to think about now. I have a son to consider. I canâtâŠâ
âBut you can,â Jim insists as he takes your hand. His face falls as you jerk out of his touch, and he looks to the ground. âIâm Christopherâs father, not that asshole. You love /me/, not him. Why the fuck canât you?â
âIâm sorry,â you say, sniffling as tears fall down your cheeks. âIâm gonna take a shower. I canâtâŠI need time alone to think.â
Before Jim has a chance to protest, you rush into the bathroom and close the door. You exhale shakily, taking a moment before starting the shower. As you strip down and step in, your mind turning and heart still breaking, you didnât notice that you forgot to lock the door behind you. Itâs something you came to realize, though, when the door opened as you put the shampoo in your hair. You didnât hear it open, but as you rinsed, the curtain parted and Jimâs nude form joined you. You didnât have the energy, nor the desire to be angry or make him leave; you wanted him there. God help it, but you /needed him there/.
âHeyâŠâ Jim says as he holds you, breathing in relief as you embrace him in return. âIâm sorry for everythingâŠâ
âShhh, donât,â you whisper, rocking against him before looking up into his clear blue eyes. âDonât be sorry. /Iâm/ the one who is sorry, because I really love you, too. Iâm sorry for what I said earlierââ
âShhh, donât talk,â he begs, pressing his lips to yours in a kiss that was innocent at first, then grew harder within only a few minutes.
You do as he says, but mostly because his kissesâso familiar, so wonderful, so /right/âhave left you speechless. You missed this, more than you would probably ever care to admit. You kiss him just as fiercely, as desperately, your arms wrapping around the back of his neck. He holds you so that you donât slip and fall, his strong arms keeping you in an embrace as your bodies press tightly together. Your eyes close even more tightly, your hands roaming over his body as you soak in every bit of him you can. JimâŠ/your/ Jim, even if he was never officially yours. You always belonged to him, just as he belonged to you, and that is how it always had been.
âI want you so fucking badly right now, Y/N,â Jim breathes as his lips trail down your neck, not stopping until they reach your breasts. âI want you more than Iâve ever fucking wanted anyone.â
âTake me, then,â you whimper, fisting his wet hair with a whine. âFucking take me.â
Jim doesnât need to be asked twice, nor does he ask about your boyfriend. In truth, you didnât give a fuck about him at this point; you just needed Jim. He pushes inside of you after pinning you to the shower wall, both of you gasping as he fully seats himself. He doesnât thrust yet, instead locking his eyes into yours and soaking in the intimacy, the closeness, of it all. You canât believe youâre doing this, but there is part of you that /can/ believe it. After all, this is what you ached for after all this time.
âY/N,â he says as he begins to thrust, his movements steady yet quick, his eyes still on yours. You inhale sharply, head against the wall as your half-lidded eyes gaze at him. âBe mine. Letâs just make it official and stop kidding ourselves. We want each other; letâs just do it and raise our son together, as it should have been from the start. PleaseâŠâ
There was nothing for you to do in that moment but smile. All of the bliss you felt, all of the ecstasy that coursed through your body at his touch, quieted you. But you hoped that smile was answer enough, and you cling to him in a hot, heated kiss as he makes love to you beneath that warm spray of water.
