Jim Jim Falls reminds me of Harold and Maude, faintly. Harold keeps theatrically staging his suicide. He falls in love, but loses her. The final image in the film (spoiler) is him crashing his jag off - not a waterfall - but a cliff by the sea. You think he’s dead, until you see him wonder off playing his banjo while Cat Steven’s sings “if you want to sing out, sing out”.
