How the Izzy Stans can look at dozens of analysis of the very messy relationship between Ed and Izzy and the toxic masculinity of it all and emotional abuse and the conclusion they come to is ED IS AN ABUSER AND YOU’RE INVALIDATING IZZY’s ABUSE is just… wild to me. Like. The show is just there, available for everyone to watch.

It’s almost like we’re not saying Ed is not violent, it’s almost like we’re saying unhealthy dynamic that serves to no one bottles over when Izzy tries to kill Stede multiple times and then just keeps pushing Ed into the Blackbeard persona. It’s just. Not that hard to admit that Izzy knew what he did was fucked up and that’s why he apologized

Seeing the way the friendship is magic fandom has evolved over the years in terms of meme culture is so fun to see.

The year the older zoomers entered the fandom space as active content creators was maybe around the same time (or a bit after) the finale premiered and you can see the effects of that in the newer music and the art and the comics and the stories-

Seeing the differences and similarities in millennial fandom culture and gen z fandom culture is just fun to see in general; but in this case especially, seeing people my age (and even people who have JUST joined the fandom) make their own contributions with a lot of really impactful and cool and funny work- and very actively keeping the silly cartoon horse culture alive even after it's ended as someone who has had this show as a massive hyperfixation on and off since maybe 2014 is really cool to me

tbh, whether the 100th episode is important or not; the crux of the issue here is after an entire season of buck being made front and centre, it seems like s7 might go down the same route rather than having him rightfully put on the backburner for a bit. and it's pretty dismissive to say that people are just being negative when they're not happy at the possibility of the season being buck-centric, especially when it's a shortened season to begin with. if i'm wrong, i'll happily eat my words. but after the way s6 went down, is it surprising that people don't have faith in the show to properly stick to it's ensemble nature anymore?
