I am so fascinated by your version of Beron and of Eris PLEEAAAASESAY MORE

To give credit, I was actually Inspired by this post. I think I reblogged it like a year ago

Beron wasn’t raised in an abusive home and had no siblings. The former High Lord was a spoiled, old man obsessed with wealth and made reckless decisions that weakened Autumn. His mother indulged in luxury and parties, while Beron grew to despise what his once great court had become. Raised largely by his Mentor (whom he actually trusts), Beron was taught ruthlessness and strategy. He fought and led battles, traveled for knowledge, mastered magic, and admires a past High Lord from the Night court known as a conquerer and collected his journals while growing resentful of his own incompetent family.

In my version, the land still chooses its ruler from the high lord bloodline, but only those deemed worthy. Beron is sinister, brutal, and calculating while his cousin was far kinder, yet the magic chose Beron (right after murdering his father on his wedding night) because despite his cruelty the Autumn court actually thrives under his leadership. He doesn’t act on impulse but weighs benefits and consequences, making deals and decisions that satisfy other courts while strengthening his own. Through his strategy, Autumn‘s military (especially his assassins) became the strongest force in the land. His cousin on the other hand would’ve acted upon his emotions, the court would’ve not been so great under his leadership even if lesser fearies were given basic rights. He and his parents were later brutally murdered and Beron‘s mother shipped off to a land far away from Prythian.

Beron does care for his family in a twisted way. He doesn’t abuse to vent anger, instead only punishes whenever they threaten his image or plans. With the sons he sees as most worthy (like Eris), he either breaks them down through cruel lessons or includes them in his ‘special activities,’ like shooting at lesser faeries and mounting their heads as trophies to kill any trace of empathy (he only takes Eris and another son with him). He’s terrifying because he speaks softly, sometimes even like a real father, yet always cold. He would let his sons sit in his study while he works. Eris especially liked reading under his desk. Beron himself taught Eris how to manage his smokehounds. He allowed his kids to roam around as long as they didn’t break anything as kids (except for Lucien. He barely acknowledged his existence). His wife couldn’t complain either despite his eerie, suffocating presence that made her nervous, but other than that they did have full, easing conversations (before he discovered her affair).

I‘m not sure if Eris is the eldest in canon but he isn’t in my remake. His father always considered him among the ‚worthy’ and though Eris didn’t grew up with a loving father and often silently questioned him, he treasure certain moments and always tried to impress him (all his sons tried so), until the eldest died. That’s when Beron shifted his focus onto Eris and he finally understood why his brother had been so cold and detached. Granted, Eris didn’t become like his brother, but he‘s an arrogant and conflicted asshole now. His father mentally messed him up that Eris believes he might be like his father. He can’t bring himself to take over the throne because he loves and hates Beron so much at the same time, it’s tormenting him.

I didn’t say much about Eris today cause I got carried away with Beron. Tbh, everything I’ve told you doesn’t do him justice. He might be may fav character to write about, but also the most frustrating because making him so damn clever means I basically have to be a genius too. 😫 I’ve planned so much lore for the Autumn Court and the Vanserras, but all I‘m gonna say is that the great Autumn is a strong empire.

don’t know why, but i feel like cassian is a big bigfoot believer. prythian is full of mystical creatures and he doesn’t really care, but this one big ass mysterious ape thing and he’s like, “yes, this one i care about”. he has theories, “proof” of bigfoots existence, and plans on how he will be the one to prove his existence once and for all. if anyone in the inner circle mistakingly mentions anything in anyway related to bigfoot, cassian will be sharing his findings.

rhys: so it looks like the troops are moving into these woods here, so if we come in from here-

cassian: you know there was a bigfoot sighting there 350 years ago. these campers said-

rhys: cassian. war planning.

cassian: so maybe if we can get bigfoot in on thi-

azriel: no.

i also think every once and a while aziel gets bored and thinks it’s fun to set up “evidence” for cassian to find. nesta is now 1000% in on this and tells cassian nothing. he comes home all excited to share his new discovery and nesta listens while internally is laughing her ass off knowing cassian has once again fallen for azriel’s bigfoot shenanigans.

First off, I cannot—cannot emphasize how much I did not expect this event to blow up. I expected maybe 8-12 participants with maybe 20 submissions? Instead, I got forty-one beautiful souls and over one hundred submissions!! 😭 It's mind-blowing to think that all of you guys wanted to play with me, like??? I'm so amazed and so touched.

I really don't mind doing the work knowing that everyone had fun, and I love love love this side of the fandom. It's not just the Tamlin community, but everyone who watched, supported, reblogged and just encouraged the fun who made my day!!

In a fandom where we often hear about ship wars or people complain about the content they wanna see, it's super refreshing to see a everyone show up for their ship, but also be super supportive of each other no matter what. I think I'm getting my period because ya'll have got me tearing up 🥺

Other things that have me giddy and excited: I love that everyone made something themselves, collaborated together and were super brave in putting themselves out there. I saw people trying new mediums, brand new members of the community dipping their foot in and sending each other doodle bases or prompts. I loved watching people go head to head, but also "hate" (jokingly) reblog I SEE U SARA SAYING IM ON THE WRONG SIDE, and I know I did it too to others (affectionately).

Please keep up this energy for Tamlin Week or any other events I'm involved in. (Hell, any event YOU want to participate in across the fandom.) Give me your silly doodles, your unfinished ideas that you want to put out there. Gosh, you all warmed my heart so so much, and I hope I can do this again next year! I already have ideas, but before then, I'll see you guys for @tamlinweek!

What it says on the tin. I'd originally planned to have 'Blood in the cut' AND this done for Tamsand vs Tamcien weekend, but my poor time management skills got the better of me again, so...🥲

Rumour had it that Tamlin had found himself a new pet. The youngest born Vanserra son, if they were to be believed. Rhys had never seen the male for himself, but if he was anything like his other brothers, he’d be easy enough to pluck out from a crowd.

He skulked around the borders of the square, watching as fae from every creed laughed and danced and twirled around in hypnotizing circles. The air pulsed with electricity, every voice sounded as though it had been magnified a thousand fold. Colours blurred before his eyes, faces bleeding one into the other, but then he saw him.

His hair was wild and unbound, whipping about like flames as he spun around the floor with his partner of the night; an unremarkable satyr with honey-gold skin.

*watching, borderline stalking, he’s not even that pretty, what does he have that I don't, yada yada - jealous Rhys inner monologue etc etc*

At the next spin Rhys deftly slotted himself by the fireling’s side, taking his hand with a toothy grin.

He glared, pulling away, “Who are you?”

“A friend,” Rhys coaxed, hands raised placatingly, “Just a friend.”

He pushed the thoughts into the other male’s mind, an innocent tendril.

Rhys could feel the satyr’s presence at his back, silently communicating. The fireling’s jaw was tight, but he shook his head.

“It’s alright, Andras,” he muttered, still looking at Rhys warily.

“What do you want?”

“A dance?”

He scoffed

For all his poetry and flowery words, Tamlin was blunt

He had a feeling that Lucien Vanserra would appreciate the dance

“Tell me. When you two fuck, is it you doing the taking? Or is that the beast’s burden?”

“Ah,”

Rather than responding with anger as he’d expected, the youngest Vanserra smirked, “Is that what this is? You’re trying to get to Tamlin by getting to me?”

“Am I truly so transparent?”

Tamlin walks in on Rhys eating Lucien out and gets FOMO

He takes over and ties Rhys up to the side w/grasses, vines

Rhys stays winning, he now has a fantastic view of Tamlin’s ass
