Jay just posted a video talking about how he was recognized in El Nuevo Día, one of the biggest publications in Puerto Rico, and I HAVE to put this thought out there I have been holding onto it for so long-

Imagine Odysseus dancing with “Penelope” to Baile Inolvidable by Bad Bunny. Imagine him thinking about her and manifesting this vision of his wife that he spins around with, a wife he can’t hold in his arms because he’s lost at sea. Imagine him for yearning for one last dance with her, wondering if he’s ever going to make it home. Pensaba que contigo iba a envejecer/I thought I’d grow old with you.

I know it falls apart at some points because the song is about a breakup/ex but it’s just SUCH A GORGEOUS SONG??? And ofc Jorge Rivera-Herrans is our beautiful Boricua king and I fucking love salsa so much and ahhhhhhhhh. I was holding onto this idea because I was hoping to one day choreograph a dance or maybe take a shot at doing an animatic but FUCK IT I need to see this happen, please someone more talented than me make it happen 😭😭😭

One of my favourite things about the epic fandom is the little phases it goes through. The time after the release of the thunder saga where everyone was feeling bad about the siren and her special interests. The popularity of the trope where astynax survives before the cyclops and ocean sagas came out. The obsession with elpenor and perimedes. The winion Polites smuggles onboard the ship. Ctimene and Eurylochus. Hell, the manwhore au. The warrior penelope. One of the best fandoms I have been in, hands down. Everybody is so sweet. I absolutely adore how close the fandom and jay and the cast are. About how artists like wolfy and gigi are closely tied to the cast and people within the fandom. The fanfiction authors, ranging from people just beginning their writing journey to proper established authors. The artists. Basically its late and im slightly sleep deprived and overcome with emotions while listening to the entire saga.

The fact that the entire series begins with Odysseus talking about motivation to win the battle (getting home to his family,) followed by a song about how he's just a man and wants to go home to his family, and then the series ends with the same music to reference him wanting to go home, but now he's arrived

Why Hermes wasn't in God Games:

a) Zeus doesn't take him seriously

b) Zeus knows Hermes is already on Ody's side so Athena wouldn't even have to convince him
