Jason had a habit of setting up the most perfect enemies to lovers only to not go through with it. I just love that!!! *eye twitches*

If I had a nickel for every time a beloved series of mine had a terrible last season with so many character assassinations and a plot that made no sense, I’d have 2 nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice.
Looking at you Jason Rothenberg and Steve Blackman…

I don't think I would ever be able to go to panels of my most watched tv shows... they all did me dirty and it would be hard for me not to just RANT the entire time specially if I got to ask a question. And if they show runners were there? Security would be dragging me out

don't mind me just imagining a world where jroth and kim shumway were banned from twitter and social media as a whole for the duration of the t100 apart from five minutes a month
part of me wants to remember what made the fandom so toxic and how much it came from those to wankers to basically highlight how not to interact with a fan base but I also don't want to get annoyed and frustrated (which is sure to happen as most i remember is jason/ kim says shit= fandom bullying got a jolt and huge upkick/ daddy basically remembering specific interactions? would be helpful but also scared and nervous)
them & that layne loser who was so determined to have her opinion be canon?? like the shit that came especially around the lexa death / s3 era was just horrendous on all sides & the showrunners did nothing but make it worse.
then when it got exposed that they were being abusive on set & their racism / sexism soon followed, then they finally shut the fuck up. interesting!

It’s also the reason that ADC refused to take Jrat’s calls until the very end, and even then, she only did it for the fans. He truly hurt a lot of people by letting his ego get in the way. That is also the reason you haven’t really heard from Jrat since. He fucked up his career. He had a chance to go out peacefully with Clexa fans, but instead he chose to stick the knife in our ribs because he REALLY hated us.
It’s interesting because we’ve never had jrot write Clexa. Every episode that’s been credited to him has had NO direct clexa interaction. This was the first. And you can clearly see from the way she was written in this episode, that this is how he always saw her. A plot device. A pit stop. The one dimensional fantasy character that exists to help the hero on their noble quest and sacrifices themselves so the hero can move forward. Just a blip on the radar.
THAT’S WHY ALL THIS HAPPENED.
Everyone else on the writing team (production and directors as well) was developing Lexa as a multidimensional character, layering her, developing clexa, giving them true meaning, making it a real and true relationship with powerful characters, but jrot never thought of it that way and didn’t have anything to do with it. The minute his “idea” came in to take over with the AI plot we saw Lexa instantly erased and she become a plot device, flip her dead body over, cut out the AI, and ooooooohhhhh let’s all pay attention to that now!
Lexa in the finale (while ADC and Eliza did a great job in showing the affection and love and relief between the two to the best of their ability) was just written as a plot device to help Clarke out in the ‘matrix’ for a few minutes. “It’s a firewall.” Jfc. Really. Lexa’s gonna talk about firewalls and ALIE and software updates? She was written in to give Clarke a little boost along her journey, something for the fans to go “yay! lexa shows up!”, and it was so painfully obvious. He didn’t even believe they warranted an “I love you” parting until after shit went down with 3x07 and then ADR’d and edited the fuck out of this episode to try and ease some of the backlash. Sorry, but no. In his mind, Lexa was the little fantasy creature in an epic adventure quest to help the hero out in their time of need and when her job was done, she outlived her usefulness once again, and she was gone.
I’m not upset about it really because a) I already grieved for Lexa and b) it was SUCH a poorly written/edited episode that it’s almost comical. I mean, COMICALLY BAD. So I can’t take it seriously. But in Jrottenburger’s mind, Lexa was never anything more than someone to give Clarke a little boost over the fence.
I thank everyone on that writing staff who saw her as more and wrote her accordingly despite their boss’ shortcomings and utter lack of vision/creativity.

Thought I had long since made my peace with the tragedy of show!Bellarke, but was randomly reminded of when Bellamy was traipsing around the woods with Josephine outside Sanctum, and we all thought it would be Day Trip 2.0, and Bellamy would hear some form of Clarke’s radio calls from the 2199 days. Yeah, we were clowns, but it also would’ve been so??? easy??? to include the radio calls??? But instead they were literally ignored basically as soon as Bellamy and Clarke made up fully during the lanterns scene. You’re telling me that Gabriel’s camp pulls in radio calls from every other planet introduced to us, and yet there’s not even a mention or reference to Clarke’s calls to Bellamy? It was the basis upon which they rebuilt their relationship, and it doesn’t even get a single line??? And I’m not even talking a whole dramatic love confession over the radio, it would’ve been enough to see Bellamy hear even one of her most mundane calls. His expression at realizing that Madi and Clarke were NOT exaggerating when they admitted to the radio calls. That they really were every damn day. And it even could’ve been one we’d heard before, or of a similar vein. But no. That’s the line they drew in baiting us. I’m so spitting mad over this again, and trust me, I was apoplectic over this when it was first happening (once I had scrapped myself off the ceiling after the CPR scene, that is, and wow, what an amazing scene used as bait!!! But not the radio calls, no no, that’s too far!!). Jason Rothenberg, you are forever on my shit list.

i really hate writers/showrunners who COMPLETELY ignore the fans and the people who made their show what it was and the fans who deserve better!! like honor your characters and ships that watched your show, honor the fans because without us you wouldn't of even made it as long as you did!! your shows wouldn't exist without us!!!!

Before HOTD revived a lot of activity, people would be like, "Damn, HBO did a finale so bad that they killed a fandom in a way that's never been done before or since."
As if The 100 creative team didn't watch the GOT fallout and say, "Hold my beer."

'The Expendables 3' - A Franchise Killer
WRITER’S NOTE: This review was written in 2014. I was really looking forward to the third “Expendables” movie ever since I saw the teaser trailer which was scored to the theme for “Bridge on the River Kwai.” None of the films in this franchise will ever be mistaken for high art, but they bring about a much-needed nostalgia workout which many of us have for the action movies from the 1980’s.…

I don't know about you but the earthborns and the two factions of them that we meet in the books are vastly superior from the grounders and all of that shit like it makes sense them all being in the bunker and split because of reasons its been awhile
(I still want to kick Jason and KShum for saying he based them off of minions and buddhists and ADC I also want to kick for the bindi)
no absolutely because we actually go in depth into the earthborns & how they devolved into these factions, & it's actually compelling. we had the grounders for 6 seasons & knew absolutely fuck all about them or how they function beyond trikru at most.
sasha is an excellent way into just how the earth born function, as well as her discussions with wells highlighting even more of the dysfunctionality of the colony — aka why do they all speak english if it was supposed to be equal in who came onto the colony's stations.
jason & kshum can eat rocks, adc too for specifically recommending the heda symbol as a bindi. the fact her fans still defend her for this & the brownface is just so, ugh. i hate the way lexa / the grounders are handled & how these issues seem to be rampant in them.

Reblogging with Kizo's tags because Clarke's point of view is always relativized. A child's safety was at stake. Overall the conflict was the perfect moral dilemma. It was okay for Bellamy to want to protect Spacekru but it was wrong to use a child as a soldier and leader (both Bellamy and Clarke were right and wrong at the same time; they were morally gray actions on both sides).
I expected the show to address this eventually but it never happened satisfactorily with the people who really mattered and was involved (only Clarke apologized in s6 - Jackson's comment wasn't enough and was only used to cement the villainization of Bellamy in s7).
It was a hostile story towards children and when Madi died after Cadogan extracted the info he needed, it's as if they confirmed the idea that a child's life was expendable. The whole thing and its implications are very fcked up. Fck Jason Rothenberg. He destroyed so many relationships in s5 and they were never properly repaired. They were on the right track in s6, but the assh0le needed to fck it up.

I’m so sorry, Bellamy.
