Ya know what I'd love? The 100 but a movie. Movie starts and it's Clarke waking up in cyro because that atrocious last season was all a dream. All of it. She wakes up and all of SpaceKru is alive and well. I'd really like that.

word count: 2.6k
No.
Way.
There was absolutely no way I was going to join a horde of drunken warriors dancing around a ten-foot-tall bonfire.
At least, that was what I had told Raven ten minutes ago.
Given the current position in which I was standing (which was just outside the crowd of dancers by a barrel containing a brew that I told myself was just really strong moonshine) and the alcohol oozing through my veins like sweet, molten honey, I think it’s safe to say that I had contradicted myself.
How many drinks had I had now? Two, three? Somewhere around there.
I wasn’t drunk, I swear. Although, I was certainly working my way towards being so. Raven had gently coerced—threatened—me into joining the raunchy dance circle. I had at first refused, but when she began to suggest telling Bellamy my ‘little secret’ if I didn’t do it myself, I reluctantly, very reluctantly, agreed.
So, that was that. I was going to dance. With Grounders. Around a bonfire. In front of Bellamy.
Hence, the drinks.
The only times I had ever danced were during parties back on the Ark, but those were so tame and regulated. This was vastly different. There were no rules, no sophistication, and certainly no guards keeping tabs on how close a girl danced with a boy. The latter was clear as day, taking the form of a couple dancing together a few feet in front of me.
A woman with dark, slicked-back braids and deep bronze skin pushed herself against her partner, a tall man with lengthy facial hair and spike-cuffed fists that must’ve been the size of my head. One of his hands was on her back, the other on her hip, ruching up her long skirt so that it exposed her thighs as she glided her chest up his torso. They grinded and swayed and flowed together in time with the pulsating beat.
Dread grappled me. I had to do that? How the hell do you dance like that in jeans and a tank top?
Through the ever-migrating crowd, I spotted Raven standing with Monty and Harper on the opposite side of the square. Of course, she had already been watching me the whole time. The fear on my face was unmistakable, yet she only sent an impatient nod of her head that said, “Get on with it already.”
If anything, you could always rely on Raven for her persistence.
“Christ, help me.” I plunged my cup into the barrel, fervently bringing its contents back to my lips and down my throat.
“Didn’t take you for a religious one,” came a deep voice from behind me.
I swivelled around, my cup still craned to my lips, and found the incentive for my drinking habits standing before me.
Bellamy.
Gracelessly, I choked as a much too-large mouthful of liquid streamed down my throat. My innards recoiled in on themselves. “Bellamy,” I said, attempting to compose myself. “Hi.” Unfortunately, the abhorrent aftertaste still lurked on my tongue, causing my expression to sour into one of disgust. “God—makes moonshine seem like apple juice.”
Apparently, he found this amusing. A hum of a chuckle bobbed in his throat. “Looks like you’re enjoying the party then.”
A few variations of how I wanted to reply: “I wasn’t until you started talking to me,” “Not really, but if you take me into a back alley right now, I might,” and, just a plain and simple, “I need you.”
What I really said: “Oh, yeah, I’m having a great time. You meet this guy?” I patted the barrel behind me. “Really supportive. We’re becoming good friends.”
He nodded, eyeing me with a quizzical smirk. “I can see that. Maybe you should branch out a bit. Have you met the one called Water yet?”
“You’re funny.”
“Alcohol tends to have that effect on me,” he said, and I laughed. His freckled cheeks rounded into apples and his teeth made a rare appearance; he looked away as if to hide his smile, as if Bellamy Blake couldn’t possibly be anything but serious and brooding. He’s kept my secret; I’ll keep his.
We both observed the crowd and the fire as a new song began to play, standing comfortably, wordlessly, side by side. Maybe ‘wordlessly’ was a bit of a stretch—there was a magnitude of words filling my mind, especially when he began unzipping his jacket and shrugging it off to expose his contoured arms to the fire’s fervour.
His arms…
“How many drinks have you had?”
I blinked. “What?”
He stared at me with a mischievous glint in his eye, draping his jacket on an unlit makeshift barbeque. “I said, what do you think of all this?”
The veil of lust-ridden (let’s call it what it was) fog lifted from my mind, and my brows creased deeply as I attempted to piece together what he was talking about. It took me a few belated seconds before I realized he had been referring to the Grounders and Sky People uniting as one people. I could hardly contain an idiotic smile from breaching my lips—my opinion was important to him.
“It’s—well,” I stammered, “it’s different.” It’s different? If only he knew how badly I wanted to club myself with a brick at that moment. Despite my obvious mental stagnation, he expressed nothing but patience, waiting with a visible longing for my input. So, I tried again, slowly working around the alcohol and shrewd blockages in my brain. “Honestly? It scares me. Their first impression of us was that we were cold-blooded killers and ours of them was the exact same. Ever since we hit the ground, we’ve been at each other’s throats; we’ve all committed so many acts of war.
“I’m scared of how fragile this peace is, how one tiny mistake could lead to the annihilation of our kind or theirs, or even both.” Bellamy watched me with silent contemplation. I continued, “And I’m scared if this peace does break, you’ll be on the front-lines because I know you’ll refuse to be anywhere else. And I know you and I tend to… disagree more often than not, but if you were to die—” I looked down, bashfully scrutinising the toes of my boots “—I think I’d be lost.”
He didn’t speak. He didn’t move. I immediately wished to snatch the words my loosened tongue had released and shove them back down my throat. His silence was writhing excruciatingly through the air, surrounding us like a constricting serpent.
Say something, Bellamy. Say anything.
“I think I’d feel the same,” he finally spoke, and the relief I felt was instant. I looked up at him. His pupils were bowls of sweet melted chocolate as he cocked his head to the side. “What would I do without my favourite sparring partner?”
My heart soared.
My favourite sparring partner.
Favourite.
So much for not smiling like an absolute idiot. I could only pray the fire’s orange light masked the jeopardising tinge of my cheeks, though there was nothing I could do about my blatant staring. Maybe it would have been embarrassing if I were the only one, but Bellamy had the same problem.
Someone seemed to hit ‘pause’on time.
The blood in my veins moved like a tranquil river; my heart expanded and subdued with each slow beat. The voices and bodies around us blurred into one big mass of nothing. All that seemed to be moving was the music drifting down towards us from the tower and Bellamy’s face, which was leaning closer in microscopic intervals, almost unnoticeably. But I noticed.
And then the bonfire roared with a loud crack.
Voices mingled. Bodies shuffled. Time restarted.
Bellamy cleared his throat and looked away, just as I began inspecting the cup in my hand. What was in that stuff? It was supposed to give me the confidence to dance in front of him; he ruined—a term I’ll use loosely—my plans by greeting me directly, so now I was just tipsy for no good reason.
At least now I didn’t have to join a wanton circle of dancing grounders.
Wait.
Was Bellamy going to kiss me?
“Didn’t think I’d see a grounder mating ritual tonight,” muttered Bellamy as he watched the scene with crossed, disapproving arms. The light spirit he had been in before had obviously been overthrown by his usual brooding nature. Funny that—that his mood only soured after hemade it seem like he was going to…
You know.
I turned towards the crowd, away from him (and his damning muscular arms that bulged impossibly over his chest). “You don’t approve?” I asked flatly. His sudden detachment had pissed me right off. “Everyone,” I addressed the partygoers in a hushed tone only Bellamy could hear, “stop dancing right now. Bellamy Blake doesn’t approve of fun.”
“I didn’t say that,” he countered.
“Then go dance.”
“I don’t dance.”
For the second time that night, I contradicted myself. “Well, I do.”
Now that regained his attention. I could see him staring at me in my peripheral vision.
“Right,” he scoffed. “You’re gonna dance.”
Ouch.
His words struck a chord deep inside me, causing my expression to wilt into something defensive. My arms folded promptly over my chest and I turned to stare him down. “Is it so unimaginable?”
“I just can’t picture you dancing,” he spoke with an arrogant grin, as if his viewpoint originated from the truth and mattered above all else.
It was moments like this one that pushed me to judge whether I should indulge in my attraction to Bellamy. Maybe it was the booze talking, but I really just wanted to slap him across the face. If not literally, then maybe figuratively, by proving him wrong.
I’d had this problem ever since I met him: he would tell me to do one thing, and I’d do the complete opposite; it felt like an unspoken rule at this point. Which led me to my next decision.
My arms dropped to my sides. “Good thing you won’t have to in a minute,” I snapped.
I began making for the bonfire and dancers, each of my curt steps fuelled by spite and a chemically altered brain. I just can’t picture you dancing. Yeah, right. I’d give him something to picture, the smug asshole.
“Hey.” A large hand caught my wrist, pulling me back half a step so I that had to stop.
I shot a fiery warning over my shoulder. Bellamy’s eyes reflected regret and a touch of submission; he knew it had been the wrong move and immediately let go of my arm, withdrawing half a step himself in placation.
“Look, I’m sorry,” he spoke cautiously like I was a spooked animal about to attack. “I didn’t mean to upset you.”
“Well, you did upset me.”
“Princess, I—"
I whirled around on my toes and we came face-to-face (well, face-to-collarbone). The swiftness of my actions must’ve caught him off-guard because he cut himself short mid-sentence and the bulge of his Adam’s apple bobbed nervously in his throat.
The scorching intensity of my gaze was pointed directly up at him now, just daring him to speak another word. He didn’t. His mouth had set into a hard, impenetrable line that represented his oath of silence. It was a smart choice, but, god, he had gotten me so riled up that whether he was smart no longer mattered.
I just couldn’t help myself.
The gap between us shortened as I took a smooth step forward, keeping us connected by the eyes. A challenge in the form of a scornful smile broke across my lips. “No leaning in this time, huh?” I spoke.
Bellamy’s eyes twitched into squints, his jaw clenching in unison. It was strange how he took offence to being called out on something he had done—a common trait in those affected by frequently un-called-out arrogance, no doubt. I’d have to start helping him out with that.
A bomb was ticking beneath his skin and I knew firsthand how short the fuse was. Subconsciously, I think I wanted to blow it. Subconsciously, I think I enjoyed it: the arguing, the tension, the heat. I enjoyed how we knew exactly what set each other off and how intimate knowing such information about one another was. I enjoyed getting in his face and him getting in mine.
I enjoyed the moments when it would become blatantly obvious that the tension between us never originated from a place of hate or malice, but from somewhere deeper, fleshier.
Or was I so impaired that it was really just me?
Thoughts calculated behind his hooded gaze—of hate, of malice, of flesh, I wasn’t sure. And just when I thought he wasn’t going to reply at all, his neck hollowed with a deep inhale, and he leaned down to my height. My heart dropped to an unspeakable place. His breath was hot on the tip of my ear, “Did you want me to lean in?”
I stared at his shoulder, trying to conceal the shiver trickling down my neck and over my breasts and much, much further below. He lingered in place for a half-second longer before returning to full height. Can you guess the shape his lips made as he scanned my perplexed expression? It’s not difficult.
I was going to slap him. Not out of dislike: but because how dare he make me want him so badly? And in front of so many people? And without even knowing that I actually did want him and it wasn’t just the alcohol that was making us both sexually frustrated?
I swear to god I was going to slap him. My hand flexed, but before I could act, the universe made evident that it was on Bellamy’s side.
The sudden bellow of horns signalled a change of song. Our attention was dragged away from one another, turning to the celebratory howls and shouts echoing between those surrounding the bonfire. The flames had exploded to new heights as someone fed more wood to the base. It burned so brightly, so dangerously that if I didn’t know any better, I’d have mistaken it for a god.
The horns vibrated in the air, repeating over and over as more instruments were introduced to create something dark and haunting. Slowly, I began to smile. I knew what I was going to do now, and it certainly wasn’t slapping the smirk off of Bellamy Blake’s face.
“Sorry, Blake,” I voiced over the music. We were looking at each other now; somehow in those ten seconds we were distracted I must’ve sucked him dry of pride and consumed it myself, because I now wore the smirk, and he wore the confusion. One last time, I downed a gulp of my drink and said, “Places to be.”
And then I was gone, heading straight for the crowd of orange-skinned dancers, slick, sweating bodies, and pulsating horns. I’d hoped that last drink would kick in fast, especially if Bellamy’s eyes were to be as vigilant as ever.

“WIND AND FIRE” BELLAMY BLAKE X SASSY SUNSHINE FEMALE READER! PART 1

SUMMARY : In order to get the wristband from you, Bellamy is forced (not really) to take you out on a date.
A/N : it has been a minute Ik and Ik this isn’t video game stuff buttttttt this was what I was in the mood for
WARNINGS : reader has an abusive bf (bellamy handles it)
Being part of the 100 that was sent to the ground at first made you believe it was the worst mistake of your life. The reason you were even on the damn ship to begin with was because you stole medical supplies in order to help your father. Your father ended up dying anyways and because of this, you were sent to the ground.
You were the youngest doctor there and practically the smartest. So the council was sad to hear about your “departure.” You were also already eighteen and should’ve been sentenced to death but they tried to push it back because of how great of a doctor you actually were. Being a good doctor mattered more than your crime to the council.
You tried to look at the positive side all the time but now you were on the ground with god knows what and surrounded by idiots that worshipped Bellamy Blake.
Before being on the ground, you had an interaction with Bellamy. It was the night of your eighteenth birthday and at the time, Bellamy was a guard at your birthday party.
PAST
To be honest, everyone loved you. You were the best doctor with also having the kindest aura a person could have. So of course, the council helped celebrate you.
Unfortunately it wasn’t the best birthday for you. You were constantly getting into arguments with your boyfriend Luke at the time and it was making you feel down.
Luke was a pretty boy but that didn’t mean he wasn’t deadly. His threats became more and he actually started hitting you as a result.
You just wanted to be loved. Your dad was dying from something you couldn’t solve and Raven, your best friend, was always around her boyfriend Finn who you couldn’t stand so you felt like you had no choice. You had to give in.
“What is all this? I don’t want to be here.” Luke complained.
“I didn’t expect them to do all this. I’m sorry. How about we just grab some cake and then leave?” You tried with him.
Luke wasn’t trying to hear that. He grabbed your arm roughly and brought you into his chest. You let out a sharp gasp at the pain. “I don’t care if this is your birthday. We’re not just going to do what you want to do.”
You tried to pull away from him but you weren’t strong enough. “Luke, stop. You’re hurting me.”
“Everyone is always celebrating you and your accomplishments. I’m sick of it.”
What you didn’t know was Bellamy was watching the whole thing from afar. Growing up with a mother and raising his little sister, he couldn’t imagine a man doing what he was doing right now.
He couldn’t mind his business on something like that.
Still, he was cautious. He walked over to the two of you, steadily. “Everything alright?”
The question immediately brought Luke out of it. Especially at the amount of authority in Bellamy’s voice. He looked over and was already intimidated. Not only was Bellamy taller than him but he was bigger than him and he had a gun at his waist.
Still, Luke tried to play strong. “Stay out of it. This is my girlfriend. Not yours.”
You were worried knowing your boyfriend’s temper. Bellamy didn’t show much of a reaction. He looked between you and him before responding. “Me personally, I wouldn’t treat my girlfriend like that.”
It insulted him. Luke started to walk towards him while you grabbed onto his arm, begging him to stop. “You want to go? I’m not scared of you.”
Bellamy, again, showed no reaction. He looked at you. You were pleading for him to not cause a scene. He couldn’t understand how you could care about him so much. Especially after what he just witnessed. He looked back at Luke, more so a warning. “Get the hell out of my face. Trust me, I’m not in the mood today.”
Again, his voice was strong. Luke’s wasn’t. Luke just pulled himself out of your arms and walked away. You sighed, not even bothering to follow him.
You mumbled a quick, “I’m sorry” and felt at the wrist he was hurting.
Bellamy didn’t acknowledge the sorry as you had nothing to be sorry for. He gently grabbed your wrist and looked at it to see the damage. Either you were fragile or Luke was strong because there was already a bruise starting to form.
You felt Bellamy’s fingertips rub gently at your skin as a way to massage the hurt area. You didn’t know what to think. No man besides your father had showed you this much kindness before.
“You need to break up with him.” Bellamy told you bluntly.
You sort of knew Bellamy growing up but never had a one on one interaction. You also knew he was the type to say what was on his mind which was the reason why you were scared for your boyfriend. Bellamy always meant what he said and didn’t ever play about it.
The truth was you’ve been wanting to break up with Luke but you were scared, terrified how he would react. “It’s not that simple.”
“You don’t have to worry about him.”
The way Bellamy said it, it felt real. Like he would take care of it but you didn’t want to drag him into your world.
You took your wrist away from him and shook your head. “You have enough on your plate. You shouldn’t get involved.”
When you mentioned that, he was curious on what you meant. You were the only doctor that knew his mother had a second child. He figured it out. “You know about O?”
You nodded. “Your mom needed help and my dad and I are the only ones that’s willing to help someone and take a risk like that. Tell her I said hi.”
You went to walk away but Bellamy grabbed your wrist, the one that wasn’t damaged and made you stop in your tracks. “Why did it take you this long to say it?”
Again, you had known Bellamy for years but the two of you were never close. Just a mutual understanding of one’s existence. “Because I don’t need any credit for what I did.” You told him truthfully. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I want to go eat cake.”
Bellamy stared at you like it was his first time ever seeing you. He knew about how good of a heart you had but he never knew it extended to this.
He slowly let your arm go and you walked away. He made it his mission now to help you in any way he could.
PRESENT
You weren’t really surprised at how Bellamy was acting as he had always been a little bit of an asshole but you were wondering why he was so keen on trying to take all the wristbands.
You were in your tent, writing down your bucket list. It was all the things you wanted to do since you landed on the ground. A lot of them were small, stupid things but the other ones meant something to you.
You heard the tent open and you knew it was only one person that would disrespect your privacy like that without a care. “Nice to see you too, Bellamy.” You said without even looking at him.
Bellamy ignored you. “You fixed Jasper.” He stated bluntly.
“I’m aware of what I’ve done.”
Ever since that night, you and Bellamy have always had a back and forth dialogue and he was the only one you would do it with.
“That means we need you. Unfortunately.” You rolled your eyes at the last part but let him continue speaking. “But you’re one of the only people that haven’t taken the stupid wristband off.”
You chuckled. You should’ve known Bellamy was going to press you about it eventually. “What are you going to do? Jump me like you did to Wells?”
He didn’t like that statement. The two of you were far from best friends but he would never hurt you like that. He saw you were writing on your bed and he snatched the paper from you. “Hey!”
Bellamy started to read your list out loud. “Number 1, learn how to swim. Number 2, do something dangerous. Number 3, get a boyfriend?” He couldn’t help but laugh at the last one and you snatched your list from him.
“Or girlfriend. I’m still deciding.”
“Yeah, the grounders seem real romantic.” Bellamy said sarcastically.
You shrugged and went back to writing. “You never know. You read the story of Beauty and the Beast. And no. I’m not taking the wristband off.”
“Why?” Bellamy questioned. “It’s not like you have people up there waiting to see if you’re still alive.”
Even though your father was dead, you still had Raven so the statement wasn’t true. “Tell me why you want us all to take it off and I’ll think about it. And don’t go on about how we can do whatever the hell we want because I know you got fired as a guard and I know you’re not supposed to have a gun so you obviously did something that you weren’t supposed to in order to get on the ship which I presume you got on because of your sister.” When you saw his expression, you smirked. “Did I hit it right on the nose?”
Bellamy wasn’t going to tell you. He trusted you to keep a secret, yes but he didn’t want you to judge him. You were the only person left that didn’t see him the way everyone else saw him and he wanted to keep it that way. “Not happening.”
You shook your head at him but weren’t really surprised he didn’t tell you. “Fine. Then I want number 77.” You said, handing him the list.
Bellamy took your list and looked at it for a moment. Then his eyes widened. “Go on a romantic date?”
“I need to prep how to be on a real date eventually and unfortunately you are the only candidate that I won’t end up vomiting with.”
Bellamy stared at the piece of paper before looking back up at you. “What? Luke never took you out on a date?”
You snatched the paper at the mention of Luke before turning around to place it on your desk. “You know he didn’t.”
It wasn’t the worst thing. Bellamy did already like you as a person as sassy as you were. He figured it wouldn’t be that bad being around you for one night. “Fine.”
You were surprised how fast he agreed. “Really?”
“Be ready when it gets dark.” Is all he says before walking out. You shook your head and looked back at your list.
You were really going on a date with Bellamy Blake.
It was night time but before you went to go on your date, you decided to check on Jasper. At first people didn’t like the fact you saved Jasper but after he started to heal and not scream in pain, they seemed okay with it.
Jasper was lying down in the drop ship sleeping. You bent down to his level and touched his forehead to make sure it wasn’t hot. It was still at its cool temperature.
He started to stir out of his sleep and when he did, he look up at you smiling. “Hey, doc.”
You smiled back down to him. Jasper was always funny to you and brought an energy that made you feel safe. “Feel any better?”
“Much better. Just tired.”
“That’s expected. Try to get as much sleep as you can.”
“Don’t got to tell me twice.” Jasper looked behind you to see Bellamy standing there. “Hey. What are you doing here?”
You turned around to see Bellamy and he actually looked good, despite being on the ground. He wore a black leather jacket with a dark blue shirt that hugged on the muscles on his chest. His jeans were black and his hair was more curly than usual. Like he had actually tried to do something to it.
Did he actually try for you?
“I need to talk to you.” Bellamy said to him. He walked in further then saw what you were wearing. A short sleeve blue top with black leggings and black sneakers that surprisingly weren’t all dirty from being on the ground. He stared at you for a moment. You almost thought he was checking you out until he spoke. “It’s cold.”
You shrugged your shoulders at his statement. “I don’t have a jacket.”
Without another word, Bellamy took his jacket off and placed it on top of your shoulders for you to wear. You grabbed it so it wouldn’t fall. “Get out. I need to talk to Jasper. Wait by the gate for me.”
Bellamy always did have a problem with the way he said things and it made you roll your eyes. “Don’t bother my patient, Blake.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it, princess.”
The nickname always did irritate you mainly because you never thought of yourself as acting like a princess.
Nevertheless, you stepped off the drop ship and proceeded to wait for him by the gate.
It took about five minutes for Bellamy to come to you. You were confused. What would make Bellamy decide to suddenly have a conversation with Jasper? “What did you two talk about?”
“The story of the brave princess who couldn’t mind her business.” Bellamy stated while hurriedly putting something in his pocket.
Your eyes darted to the pocket and you wanted to question him further but realized you weren’t going to get anywhere with it.
Wells walked up to the two of you. A little bit judgmental. “Hey. Where you two going?”
“On a date.” Bellamy said bluntly which made you hit him in his chest. You didn’t want people to know you were going out with him but he didn’t seem to care.
“Oh?”
“Tell your girlfriend to hold down the fort while I’m gone.” Bellamy said, speaking of Clarke before opening the gate. He took your hand and made you follow him outside.
The two of you had been walking in silence for at least three minutes. You noticed that Bellamy was still holding your hand. “You’re still holding my hand.”
Bellamy didn’t seem to care. “That’s what people do when they go on a date.”
“Oh.” Silence came about again and Bellamy still took your hand in the direction, walking. “Where are we going?”
“A place.”
“Don’t be a smartass.”
Bellamy chuckled. He stopped in his tracks. He lets go of your hand and goes to the thing in the ground. He opens the door and there it’s a place for you two to go in. Your eyes widen at this discovery.
“After you.”
You curiously took steps towards the place. Then looked down inside cautiously.
Bellamy looked slightly annoyed. “You look like you don’t trust me?”
“The guy that wants to take my wristband so bad? Yeah. A little sketchy.”
“Just get in.”
You placed yourself on the ladder and climbed down to the entrance. There you saw a whole set up. There was a couch with torches as lighting. There were snacks on the table and the atmosphere just felt right for a strange place.
Bellamy followed after you, shutting the door behind him. Once he was in, he looked at you to see your reaction but your face was unrecognizable. “What?”
“All this for a wristband?”
“Yup.” He said but something about the way he said it made you think otherwise.
He sat down on the couch and you followed him. You never been this close to Bellamy before and the way he smelled was both manly and enticing.
Bellamy grabbed a bag of chips and started to open them when he noticed your facial expression. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
You didn’t want to tell him you actually thought him trying was romantic so instead you change subjects. “Are you really not gonna tell me why you want the wristbands so much?”
His face falters and he ends up rolling his eyes with chips in his mouth. “Are you still on that?”
You grabbed the chips out of the bag and ate them yourself. “What did you do that’s making you do all of this? What’s so bad? I mean I know we’re not best friends but I’d thought that after you found out I knew about Octavia that you would trust me just a little bit.”
“I do trust you.” He said a little too fast.
You looked confused. “Then what is it?” Silence emptied the room and it was then you realized why he wouldn’t tell you. “You don’t want me to think of you differently do you?” Still silence and it only confirmed what was an inside presumption to an outside fact.
You continued to eat the chips. You didn’t want to press further and ruin the night.
“So why did you want me to take you out?” Bellamy asked.
“I already told you.”
“No, you told me some bullshit you’d thought I’d believe. Come on. There’s plenty of charming guys in there. There’s Murphy-“
“Immediately stop right there before I kill myself.” You said and it made him laugh. The truth was that you just respected Bellamy, despite him being an ass sometimes and you trusted him more than anyone to take you out. “Why did you agree? It can’t just be because of a wristband.”
“Any guy would.” Bellamy said truthfully before taking the chips out of your hand and eating some.
With that, you raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”
“You know how many men you disappointed on The Ark when they found out you were dating Luke?”
There was no way men actually wanted to be with you other than Luke. You couldn’t believe it. “You’re lying.”
“I’m not. Unfortunately.”
You held back your eye roll at the end and grabbed the chip that was in his hand. “Why didn’t guys come up to me then?”
Bellamy grabbed his chip back and ate it before continuing. “You’re the youngest doctor on The Ark with an IQ surpassing all the adults. They were intimidated. Most men don’t like dating women that are better than them.”
It made you feel better about yourself but also in a way upset. You put up with Luke for a long time just for other men to be attracted to you? “What about you? You seem to be one of those men.” You said cocky.
Bellamy chuckled, smiling. “You’re pretty. That’s all you got.” He grabbed the water bottle on the table and drunk some it before responding. “I could never date you. You’d make me pull my hair out.”
You nodded at his over dramatics. “You do have pretty hair.”
Bellamy kept his smile on his face. “Remind me why you settled for Luke again?”
You sighed at the mention of his name. “Can we not?”
“At least tell me he stayed away from you.”
“Actually. Yeah. It was weird. Right after my party he had came to me and hurriedly dumped me. Didn’t say why but did. It was like he was scared. I don’t know. It was probably his mom that made him.”
Bellamy nodded at what you said feeling content. “Good.” He reached in his pocket and pulled out the item you were eyeing at earlier.
He set it on the table and pressed a button. It was an MP3 player. A song started to play.
A drop in the ocean
A change in the weather
I was praying that you and me might end up together
Bellamy stood up and held out his hand. You looked at the table and put together that it was Jaspers and that’s why he wanted to talk to him.
You then looked at his hand that was held out. “What are you doing?”
It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert
But I'm holding you closer than most cause you are my heaven
“Asking you to dance.” You still didn’t move but Bellamy wasn’t backing down. “You know most women would jump at the opportunity.”
You ignored his cockiness because well, you started to get nervous. “I don’t know how to dance.”
I don't wanna waste the weekend
If you don't love me pretend
A few more hours then it's time to go
Bellamy took your hand and forced you to stand on your feet. He brought you to the center of the room so the two of you would have more room. “It’s not hard.”
You scoffed. “Easy for you to say. You took every girl on The Ark to some dance.” You said bitterly.
Bellamy laughed at this. He started to sway at the music and you tried to follow his lead the best you could. “Someone’s bitter. Did you want me to take you out?”
“Shut up, Blake.”
As my train rolls down the east coast I wonder how you keep warm
It's too late to cry
Too broken to move on
Bellamy spun you around and held you close to his chest, your back facing him. His left hand was on your waist while his right arm hugged you.
Despite the temperature outside, Bellamy felt warm and safe. His lips go to your ear and he whispered, “Is that why you didn’t want to dance with me? Am I making you nervous?”
And still I can't let you be
“I’m not nervous.” You tried to state bold but the truth was, you were.
Most nights I hardly sleep
“I can feel your heart racing right now. Don’t tell me you really wanted me to take you because you like me.”
Don't take what you don't need from me
He spun you back around to where you were facing him. “Bellamy, may I remind you we are out here alone with no witnesses? Don’t piss me off.”
Bellamy snickered at what you said but didn’t miss a beat dancing with you. You were usually used to his annoyingly way to try and charm you but tonight it was really getting to you.
A drop in the ocean
A change in the weather
I was praying that you and me might end up together
Bellamy felt you about to fall and he immediately caught you. The two of you laughed a little and to prevent you from falling, he brought you closer in his arms. You two were practically chest to chest.
It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert
But I'm holding you closer than most cause you are my heaven
Usually Bellamy wouldn’t get so bothered. He was used to it. The back and forth between the two of you. Him even slightly teasing you from time to time but tonight was different.
He was trying to convince himself that the reason he agreed to this was all for the wristband but the truth was, Bellamy was just like those men on The Ark. He found you beautiful, intriguing and a breath of fresh air but the reason he never approached you wasn’t because of intimidation. It was because he didn’t think he deserved someone as great as you.
Misplaced trust and old friends
Never counting regrets
By the grace of God I do not rest at all
The room was silent and he was glad it was. He could appreciate all your features and look in your eyes with love without judgment.
There hadn’t been more of a time he wanted to kiss you so bad. He wanted to grab you by the hips and lay the sloppiest, most passionate kiss on your lips. He wanted to lay you on the couch and make you feel good. Better than what Luke ever made you feel.
But he couldn’t. He had to remind himself that he was a horrible person. That he couldn’t get past the thing that he did and you would never forgive him for it once you found out. How he got on the ground in the first place.
New England as the leaves change
The last excuse that I'll claim
I was a boy who loved a woman like a little girl
The way Bellamy looked at you looked like he loved you from the very beginning and you couldn’t handle it. You looked away from him and pulled a little bit away from him so you weren’t so close.
And still I can't let you be
Bellamy gently took your chin and forced you to look back him, not stopping to dance with you. “Don’t do that.”
It practically made your heart stop with how much authority he had in his voice. “I’m starting to get why you’ve had so many girlfriends.” You bluntly said.
Most nights I hardly sleep
He laughed at the statement and pulled you back close to his embrace. “I didn’t have that many girlfriends.”
“Right. Just that every girl on The Ark wanted you.”
Don't take what you don't need from me
“I’d rather not talk about other women.” He said sincerely.
A drop in the ocean
A change in the weather
I was praying that you and me might end up together
You couldn’t wrap your head around any of this. Suddenly Bellamy Blake was the biggest romantic with you? It just didn’t seem real.
He was handsome and he did have a charming personality. Despite him sometimes being an ass, you knew he was raised as a gentleman and that part of him enticed you.
You just didn’t know if a girl like you and a guy like Bellamy Blake would work.
It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert
But I'm holding you closer than most cause you are my
Heaven doesn't seem far away anymore
No, no
Heaven doesn't seem far away
Heaven doesn't seem far away anymore
No, no
Heaven doesn't seem far away
Oh, oh
A drop in the ocean
A change in the weather
I was praying that you and me might end up together
It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert
But I'm holding you closer than most cause you are my heaven
Bellamy dipped you at the ending, still looking in your eyes. Time had felt like it had stopped. You’d thought that after the dance the feeling would go away but it didn’t.
He still looked at you like he had loved you forever and it terrified you.
He slowly brought you up to your feet, still holding you. Your foreheads were pressed against each other and the two of you just stood there, being in one’s embrace.
You realized the feeling and came up with the conclusion that you shouldn’t feel this way. He was Bellamy Blake. Not that you thought he was a bad person but he was the one person in the world that stuck beside you no questions asked and you couldn’t ruin it over the feelings you were feeling.
“It’s getting really dark. We should get going.” You said pulling away from him.
Bellamy fought the urge to pull you back and kiss you. He wanted to be selfish with you. Just this once.
But he fought against it.
“Okay. Let’s go.”
You’d thought the walk back would be awkward but it wasn’t. It was like after tonight the two of you understood each other more.
Bellamy forced (not really forced) holding your hand as he guided you back to the camp. The air felt more at peace believe it or not.
Murphy saw the two of you and opened the gates for you. “Welcome back, love birds.” Bellamy gave Murphy a warning glare and it was enough for him to put his hands up in defense.
“Where’s my sister?” Bellamy asked, still not breaking from holding your hand.
“In the drop ship with Jasper.”
He nodded and walked in the camp. He walked you all the way to your tent where you went inside and pulled away from him. “Did you have fun?”
The question made you smile. “I did. Surprisingly.”
“Don’t be so so surprised. You know I’m fun.”
“Sure.” You teased. You took the jacket off of you. Then tried to hand it to him. “Here.”
Bellamy shook his head. “Keep it. You can wear it for the next guy you drag on a date.” You rolled your eyes playfully at him. “Be honest. Why did you want me to take you out on a date.”
After tonight, you felt you owed him some honesty. “Because I wanted my first ever date to live up to my expectations unlike my first ever boyfriend. I knew you would live up to those expectations.”
You saw the surprise look on Bellamy’s face but he quickly nodded to mask it. “Okay. Goodnight.”
He turned to walk away. You looked at the wristband and then back at him. “Aren’t you forgetting something?”
Bellamy turned back to you. Then took some steps to you smirking. “What? You want to end it with a kiss?”
You ignored the statement and just showed your wrist off. “The wristband?”
Bellamy looked at your wristband and it clicked. He completely forgot about it. The whole reason he did this in the first place.
He took out his knife and gently grabbed your hand. He then tried his best not to hurt you getting the wristband off.
Once he finally unlatched it, he placed the knife and wristband back in his pocket.
The two of you looked back at each other in the eyes. He really forgot about the wristband? That alone made you want to kiss him.
“Goodnight, princess.” He said to you before walking out your tent.
PAST
If it was one thing Bellamy couldn’t stand for it was abuse towards women. It was obvious Luke was doing something to you.
And he didn’t think he could keep it together.
Scratch that, he wouldn’t keep it together.
Bellamy was known for sticking his nose in business that wasn’t his when it came to unfairness and loyalty and well, you had showed him both that.
You protected his family so he had to protect you in some way.
With Bellamy being a guard, it was easy for him to find out where exactly Luke stayed and when he did, he waited for Luke to come.
Bellamy sat on his bed, reading one of the books he read to Octavia when she was younger when he finally heard the bedroom door open.
“Holy shit dude!” That’s when Luke paused. “Bellamy? What the hell are you doing here?”
Bellamy closed the book and got up from the bed. “I’m gonna need you to break up with (Y/N).”
Luke scoffed at this. “Why? Why do you care? Listen I get it, you want to fuck her. I mean she looks good. But I’m first okay. Whatever you want to do with her is up to you after that point.”
Bellamy took in a deep breath, not wishing it would have to come down to this. “So you’re really gonna make me do this?”
“Do what?”
Bellamy instantly punched Luke in his jaw. Luke fell to the ground. His mouth was gushing. He didn’t even let Luke process it. He went back a second time and got him in the nose.
Luke’s head flung back and hit the floor. Bellamy punched him again and again. Until he felt the message was heard.
He grabbed the hem of his shirt and slammed Luke into the wall. Luke’s face was bloody and he was spitting up blood. “I’m going to say this one time and one time only; stay the fuck away from her. If I hear you’re still with her, if I even see you look in her direction, next time I’m going to break in and beat you and your dad just for your existence because she doesn’t deserve whatever your shit is. Do you understand?” When Luke didn’t respond, he slammed him again in the wall. “Do. You. Understand?”
Luke gasped for air before nodding. “Yes. I’ll stay away from her. I’m sorry.”
“Good.”
Bellamy pulled away from him. Luke lost his balance and fell down to the ground. It made him shake his head and he walked out of the room.
He hoped Luke would follow through. He would hate have to come back and follow his word.
Nah. He really wouldn’t hate it.

Hate with attraction - Bellamy Blake
I hated Bellamy and despised him since the beginning. He always had to counter my arguments and disagree with me on every move I made. Every step I took–he criticized. The feeling of hatred was mutual, I never failed to return the remarks he made.
Bellamy brushed past as if I weren't there, yet he still managed to whisper, “You're falling behind.”
I picked up my pace as we walked through the forest. The whole hunting group was filled with all my friends–besides Bellamy. I shoved him almost into a tree, “Catch up soldier boy.”
My best friend, Octavia turned around while walking, and Bellamy glared at me. “I get Bellamy is an ass but why can't you guys just get along?”
I could feel his stare on me, “Your brother started it on day 1 of coming back to earth. The power must’ve gone to his hollow head, can’t say more than that–” My words were cut off at the sound of arrows flying past us.
“Grounders,” Bellamy yelled.
Clarke and Monty spread out of their spot because that’s where most of the fire was, “Guys we have to split up! We all have intercoms so once it’s safe we’ll come back together.”
Octavia reached for my hand but missed me by a couple of inches, an arrow grazed my palm and cut me, “Just go,” I yelled. She ran away but was hesitant. I was about to reach for my gun before a hand stopped me–Bellamy.
“We have time to run, don’t waste your bullets.”
I crouched down with him so no one gets hurt again, “If you keep ordering me around, I’m about to waste one.”
He groaned as he grabbed me and we both made a run for it, “Keep this shit up and maybe I’ll throw you to the grounders.”
I pushed him off me as we walked into a tiny cave for cover, “I’d rather be with them than you,” I mumbled.
“What was that princess,” he asked knowing he heard every word I said. His anger was pissing me off. He ripped a part of his shirt off and began wrapping it around my cut.
“I hate when you call me that.” He only called me that because my father is Kane and he won’t let go that I’m “privileged” just like Clarke. “I didn’t make the rules on the ship, It’s not my fault that–”
He pulled hard on the tie he was making causing me to wince in pain, “Don’t finish that sentence.” Bellamy glanced up at me then annoyingly back at my cut as he wrapped it to perfection–I hated how good he was at helping when I needed it. “I know it’s not your fault but your father and every privileged person on that ship let her die for what reason? Because she had one more kid?”
“You know the rules,” I spoke lowly. It was a sensitive topic and even though I hated his guts and wouldn’t mind if he got floated, I did sympathize. I never liked what happened and the fact no one could have siblings. “The more space taken by more kids would’ve left us overpopulated Bell–” I paused when talking, his nickname Octavia slipped out so easily.
He looked up at me whilst still holding my hand even though the t-shirt bandage was as good as it was going to get. “I’m sorry she was floated, but it was the rules. And you know the Ark was already overpopulated enough. That’s why they sent us down here in the first place, the stupid 100 who had to risk their criminalistic lives for the others.” This topic always got me upset, not sad but mad. My father, Jaha, and Clarke's mom, Abby, were all willing to risk our lives as if we were all test subjects.
“We mean nothing to them, that’s why I was so hell-bent on making sure all of the 100 could survive.”
I rolled my eyes remembering this wasn’t a friend I was talking to, “No, Bellamy you wanted all of us to remove our locators so that you could make sure they didn’t come down here because your reckless ass shot Jaha. I understand it was for Octavia but don’t act as if you’re some hero.”
He pressed down on my wound before dropping his hand, “I never said I was. You always think you’re better than me.”
I went to punch Bellamy but he moved out of the way, I was always good at hand-to-hand, my father got me a trainer, one of the guards. I knew how to fight, shoot, plant, etc. I was built to survive as if he’s been planning this forever. I smiled as I ducked the attack he threw at me, “You can only stand your ground because of the training you and Lincoln did together.” I went to kick him but he caught my leg, kicks were the one thing I couldn’t get the hang of.
“Learn to be faster, princess,” he had a tiny grin on his face as he twisted my leg so I was hopping.
I’d never give him the satisfaction of beating me, I kicked my leg again and got out of his grip. I elbowed him and punched him. His lip began to bleed, he had a smile on his face as his finger touched his lip. “Better,” he whispered.
I went to hit him again but he blocked it and turned me around and kicked behind my leg causing me to fall onto one knee. He grabbed my hair, not too rough to hurt me but enough to move my head so I’d look up at him. “Train more and maybe you’ll beat me.”
Slowly I rose and hit him at his throat causing him to back up. Not hard enough to hurt him but enough so he’d fuck off. I regained enough strength to cause him to lose his balance, then I got him to hit his back onto the ground. I kept my knee on his chest as I looked down at him, “You’ll never beat me, Bellamy. And I don’t think I’m better than you–” Our breaths filled the cave, “I know I am.”
I stayed with my knee on his chest until he gave me a look that I couldn’t comprehend. His lips parted and he moved in to kiss me. I don’t know why but I didn’t back away, I took my knee off of his chest slowly. His fingers slipped into my hair and he pulled me deeper in. He kissed me roughly and I could taste the hate he held for me. Then he pushed me with a betrayal of a smile, “Never let your guard down, princess.”
I made myself look hurt, he stepped closer and I pulled him in for a kiss. He seemed hesitant but easily fell into it. I bit down on his lip causing him to wince in pain. He dragged his tongue along his bottom lip, blood was dripping more than before.
I pushed him away from me, I hated him now more than before. But God, I’d kiss him again with hate once more if given the chance. “Never let your guard down, Bell.”
Suddenly Octavia ran into the cave looking frantic, “Jesus, did the grounders attack you guys?”
Bellamy and I shared a glance, I turned back to Octavia and smiled as if I wasn’t in pain. “No, no we made it out. Well not without one price to pay,” I said as I held my hand up.
Octavia looked shocked, she now realized our words were no longer threats, they were promises. “Bellamy,” she said in confusion but also her annoyance was beginning to focus on both of us for being stupid enough to fight each other. “O,” he said while walking past her. I stopped walking so I could talk with Octavia. He turned to me and whispered, “Next time you won’t get off that easily.” I paused, next time?

i do what i have to do.
pairings. bellamy blake x fem!reader
part two of two.
about. in which you point your gun at someone you never thought you’d point it at.
warnings. swearing
ricky rocks. look who finally finished a year old one shot/fic/whatever you call it 🤗🤗
bellamy coudn’t hurt you even if he wanted to. so, when mumbling the words, ‘move or i’ll kill you’, you could see right through his bluff by the way his eyes so willingly betrayed him, filled with... hurt.
in all truth, bellamy believed you would have shot him if it would have come down to that, and maybe that’s what pained him most. he wouldn't hurt a hair on your head, and you would have, but only for the best interest and safety of arkadia and your friends.
you never wanted to hurt bellamy, but recently you really, really wanted to slap him upside the head for all the stupid shit he had been doing. and maybe a gun scare would knock some sense into him, or maybe it would only put him deeper into the hole pike was digging for him.
bellamy yanked you to your feet quickly after the two of you had seemed to have recovered from all the commotion that had just taken place. you weren't sure whether or not he wanted to get you away from the increase in rowdy crowd or to have his way with you first.
you were beginning to think it was the last option as he marched down the hall with you in front of him, gripping your left arm while the other pressed against your back. one, two, three, four more steps before he shoved you into one of the guards rooms, his room.
“what the hell do you think you’re doing?” he let go of your arm with a slight shove causing you to stumble forward a bit. he looked angry, more than you had ever seen him and more than you would have ever wished to see.
“bellamy, don’t start with me,” you mumbled, raising a finger to harshly accuse him... for something. “if you’re going to kill me, just get it over with.”
he scoffed, looking beyond dumbfounded with his mouth slight agape, not believing the words that had just came from your mouth.
“stop fucking talking,” he needed to think. he begun to pace back and forth, and you had no idea what to do with yourself as you watched him. “i need to get you out of here.”
"what?"
he gives you a dumbfounded look that was filled with a sense of urgency, "y/n, you just shot someone that can have you dead within seconds. you don't leave, someone’s going to do exactly what you did, and take justice into their own hands."
"you should have let me finish the job."
"we're not starting this," he grips your shoulder before pushing you by your upper back. "people are leaving. o, kane, miller—you go with them. you stay, they'll kill you."
"how do you know this?" you mumbled, glancing back at the mention of your friends and the planned escape you all had developed. bellamy was considered a traitor to you all, so he would be the last person on your list to concern with the escape plan.
"eyes everywhere."
you narrow your brows at him, "you're coming with."
he narrows his brows in shock, not expecting you to say this, you share the same expression, also shocked by yourself. the past month would explain this--not only had you watched your world at arkadia fastly crumble after the slow rebuild of humanity, you also witnessed your relationship with bellamy slowly tank moment after moment while his with pike was created.
so, offering passage was an absurd idea. after all the betrayal.
he seems to wince after his surprisal settles but is quick to keep a straight face as best as he can, "you're getting the wrong idea."
"am i?"
"we're not friends anymore, y/n. this isn't old times," his words are intentionally stinging, but you don't miss the look on his face that betrays him. "you can't save me if that’s what you’re thinking. I don't need to be saved, i know what i’m doing."
you frown, "bellamy, you need to stop acting like there's never going to be a happy ending for you before it comes true. leave with us."
"you know i can't do that."
"why not?"
"I dug myself in too deep this time," his face was still stone cold, but it didn't prevent remorse from blossoming in your chest. "maybe if you weren't such a terrible shot, this would be all over."
***
in well under an hour bellamy had you out of arkadia, alone. your friends had left a lot sooner than thought and no matter how much begging you did—expectedly—bellamy left his mind unchanged.
you knew exactly where your friends were going—where they’d be. it was a long and lonely hike but it was enough time for reflection.
you miss the time where you felt like a kid still. where you were young and reckless and full of hope that you’d finally get to be free upon that first step off the drop ship. that you had purpose and will and fighting was something you hadn’t really minded aside from the possible side affect of death.
now you were tired. you just wanted to lay your head down for once and not think about the pointless rivalry purging your everyday life.
“y/n, you’re okay,” octavia pulls you into a tight hug, a certain relief setting over. “god, after we hadn’t seen you, we assumed the worst.”
“i’m okay,” you gave her a thin-lipped smile, “thanks to your brother.”
“bellamy?” she seems shocked, like that’s the first courteous thing he’s done for someone in years.
“yes,” you nod, understanding the hostile tone she almost takes with his name. “i think he might’ve saved me.”
“where is bellamy?” miller speaks causing you to realize they had all emerged from the cave.
"he's gone."
"dead?"
"no,” you shake your head, “he stayed behind. he said he had to fix some thing’s before he showed his face again.”
octavia mentally rolled her eyes, but kept her composure as she watched you, “you’re here. that’s all that matters.”
***
“is he dead?”
“indra has him.”
“bellamy-“
“y/n,” he gives you a pointed look at your protest. “you know that’s as good as dead.”
he was right. pike killed her people, that was far from unforgivable. he’d be lucky to receive death.
“she didn’t kill you.”
he shook his head, keeping his eyes low to the ground, “thanks to o.”
it took a day for bellamy to find you all. his face was beaten and bloodied, but you knew better than to ask what the cause was. he had a lot of enemies at the moment and it wasn’t like this was something out of the blue for him. you would've been surprised to see a clean face.
“she doesn’t hate you as much as you think.”
“i’d like to think she doesn’t hate me at all,” he presses his lips into a thin line. “you’re right though.”
you nod, trying to look sympathetic.
“about everything. i’m sorry.”
your mouth slightly opens in shock from not anticipating his words; apology and admitting.
“i’m sorry too,” you nod, swallowing harshly as you think about having that gun pointed inches from his face. “i would’ve never shot you.”
“you sure?” his voice is lighthearted, but you can tell he’s genuine when asking. “could’ve guessed otherwise.”
“guessing will only hurt you,” you tease, but quickly drop the blitheness. “i shouldn’t have done it, but i was scared… and angry.”
“i know,” he whispers, “we do what we have to do, right?”
“right.”
“then if that means shooting me to knock some sense into me, do it.”
a laugh gets stuck in the back of your throat at the preposterous thought of it. the funny thing was you knew he wasn’t joking. classic bellamy, putting himself in harm’s way.
“me a couple months ago would be more than happy to oblige,” you shake your head, making it his turn to laugh.
“us a couple months ago was a different story. i’m sure we already had guns to each other’s throats.”
you laugh with him, “yeah.”
“never again.”
nodding, “never again.”
you stare at one another now, quiet and calm. you don’t think you’ve ever had a moment like this with bellamy before.
you’re not sure what to do, but bellamy does.
your months of angsty butting heads leading to civilness, then ultimately leading to radio silence on both of your ends due to pike, had killed him. and now, here you were, back in his grasp of more than just civilness, he couldn’t let that go.
“i lied,” he mumbles, suddenly shifting from the rock he sat on. “instead of shooting me…” he’s leaning now, hovering, and just barely resisting the urge to complete his intentions. you feel his breath fan your face; feel, because your eyes are shut. “please, just kiss me.”
his nose is slotted against yours, still hovering as he watches you beneath his eye lashes. his lips are so close… so close to yours, it’s killing him that he waits.

Endless
Bellamy Blake
Oxygen, never knew it could come with something more beautiful. I would always look through the glass windows of the ship and see how we orbited earth but it was never a thought. You read it in books but it was all different when you got the chance to see it for the first time. The green trees and grass. The colorful flowers and land so long that you don’t see the same thing twice. The sound of a waterfall or birds singing with the wake of the sun. But the thing that imprinted in me was when I felt open air travel through my nose and into my lungs, I was breathless. Ironic, but I was. So as I stand here in the same spot I decided to go down to earth with Raven, I am scared and with so many questions. The only difference now is that I know what is down there and my heart yearns for it. For my friends, for the home I made. It feels hard to breathe. “You okay?” I jumped a little not realizing Raven was standing right beside me.
“Yeah,” I smile looking back into the serene view. “I guess I unconsciously put my guard down since there are only 8 other people here.”
“Yeah,” She bumps into me teasingly. “5 years of not running away from someone trying to kill us,” Weird.
“We just have to worry about surviving.” Thankfully Clarke was right. We made the food we had last until the Algae farm could provide for us. The Oxygen and water was stable too. But up here for 5 years?, it will eventually drive us crazy.
“We will be okay. You have plenty in one person to keep you company.” My eyebrows furrowed as I turned to look at her. “You know who I am talking about.” She playfully bats her eyelashes and swings her hair like she was flirting. “Why thank you Bellamy,” I bit my lip hearing her impression of me. “Thank you for saving us,” My mouth falls open, ready to defend myself but she is quicker and places her hand over my mouth. “With those pretty brown eyes, dark curly hair, and not to mention those muscles,” I groaned, pushing her away.
“Shut up,” I roll my eyes. I hear her laughing, “I thanked the rest too. He wasn’t the only one who made the trip to Becca's lab alone.” To be honest I would have thanked him like that if I had the chance. Of course I would keep the last part to myself. But for him and the rest to risk their life so close to the radiation wave hitting well, they deserve all the thanks. Especially now since their actions got them stuck in the ark again, far away from people they love.
“Yeah but he was the only one who made the trip especially for you.” I kept my mouth shut that time. It would be nice to know he did do it for me, probably would cause my already hyper beating heart to actually run out of my chest. But Bellamy and Clarke were our good friends and down there, we knew we had to do everything to protect ourselves. Emori, Murphy and Echo came along because they thought they didn’t have a chance to stay in the bunker due to past choices. Harper and Monty were nice enough to give them all a ride after they were attacked by some grounders, calling them unlucky.
“You can’t be sure of that,” She stands there with an annoyed expression and her hands on her hips. “You’re the one who slept with him,” Her mouth falls open. “He could be here for you,” I simply shrug and turn to walk away.
“That was a long time ago!” She screams out to me. “Don’t deny it! He likes you and you like him!” I know it was a low blow to bring that up. Raven told me how bad she felt sleeping with Bellamy. She did it out of spite because Finn was too close with Clarke. Raven loved Finn and still does, I know Bellamy and her are only good friends now. I walk down the halls of the Ark, the sounds of groans and hits call out to me. As the common room came into view I saw Echo and Emori training together. Emori had Echo on the floor in an arm lock. I tower over them seeing a pleased look on Emori’s face.
“Want next?” She says jokingly. I am not a bad fighter, I know enough to protect myself but I prefer using other things than fist.
“Why would she need it?-” I looked over at Echo who could barely get her words out. “She has a guard dog,” Emori’s quick chuckle was cut off when Echo uses her legs to push off the ground and twist herself out of Emori’s hold.
“That's right.” Defeated, Emori lays flat on the floor. “Shame to let your knowledge of your guns and our weapons go to waste since you always have him around.” I scoff knowing damn well that Bellamy wasn’t always around, and if he was it was because it was smart for all of us to stick together.
“I will say that she knows all this tech stuff too, like Raven.” I look up toward Echo who for once had a smile on her face. “She’s more brain.” I felt like I needed to say thank you but somehow I was confused because they were unminding me too.
“And his muscles.” Their conjoined laughter made me feel happy. The past 2 months, all I could hear was normal banter since they were irritated with everything. So having someone laugh was a huge change of improvement. “He is over there if you were looking for him.” As I hear Emori stand up from her mat, my head turns to find Bellamy leaning against the window, he was busy looking outside. I flinch a bit feeling someone’s hand land on my shoulder. “Go reel him in for lunch,” I turn, finding a small grin on her face. “Monty made a new version of his soup.” We share the same disgust look but eventually it is replaced with a smile.
“Sounds delicious,” She nods agreeing with my sarcasm. I take a deep breath before making my way over to him. Echo and Emori’s steps have faded meaning they were already out of the room. “Seems like you got a better view here.” Eden looked bigger on this side of the ship. The spectacle of hope was small but one day we would be back.
“I am open to sharing.” Damn. I am truly lost, ain't I? I thought by not looking at his eyes it would be best but by just being near him, he can make my heart race. I turn my head meeting his eyes. Raven hit it spot on when she used the words pretty. Those brown eyes, so pretty. “I haven’t gotten a chance to get you alone,” oh? “In the afternoons you are either trying to fix the radio with Emori or the panel with Raven,” I turned my body towards him as his eyes never left mine. “Spending late nights working,” My heart strings tug with a little bit of sadness. I hadn’t noticed that I have been busy, I just know that if I stopped then I would start thinking. Missing. I didn’t want him or anyone in the ship to think that I was in some way ignoring them. “And in the morning,” Tunnel vision, that is what was happening. It felt like the walls were closing in and I couldn’t focus on anything other than Bellamy. Somehow we ended up only an inch apart, my hand probably couldn’t pass between us. My head tilting up as he towers over me. “Seems like everybody wants your attention too.”
“Too?” A small smile was playing on my lips. Since Bellamy and I have gotten close we became good friends. Friends who occasionally couldn’t stop staring at each other. At first I thought it was because I was closer to age then everybody else. Maybe he found comfort in not being the only adult (ish.). And those lingering stares went to the trash when Gina came into the picture. She was nice and I never had anything against her but when they were together it made me realize it was just me who felt a connection. “If you need to talk-” I freeze. His hands currently moved up to cup my face. His eyes drop towards my lip, “I am always free.”
“Yeah?,” With his hands on my cheeks I felt my face growing warmer than usual. The playfulness in his voice made the little girl in me start jumping. The way his warm breath felt against my skin as he spoke sent shivers down my spine. “I do want to talk.” He nods and it's like I was hypnotized, my head aimlessly copies his movement. “I want to make sure you are okay,” I slightly tilt my head to the side, I got my brain back for a minute. Why would he ask that? “This change has been tough on everybody, I wanted to make sure you were okay.” My hand instantly moved up to cup his hands as he still had his on my face.
“I’m okay,” I say as a whisper. “You?” He nods again with a smile. “It suits you,” He leans forward, resting his forehead on mine.
“What does?”
“Being okay. Your shoulders are no longer tense. Not having to worry about keeping everybody safe,” I close my eyes, loving how he feels close to me. “Being you, it suits you.” Before this the only contact I had with him was a hug or the occasional hand holding. Of course, the cause of those things was because we were happy to see each other, as friends. Or when we were beside each other receiving yet another bad news he would take my hand in his, as friends. If we were anywhere together, I would know because his arm would always graze mine. As friends do, right?
“I had a good reason.” I pull apart a bit to look into his eyes.
“Your sister.” I say plainly.
“Two reasons.” He responded instantly. His eyes felt more intense than a couple minutes ago. The way he looks at me and how his thumb slowly caresses my skin, this was not like friends, right? He was pulling me in and I couldn’t help but want to fall. “This might be stupid since we are stuck here for 5 years but I just have to say it,” He takes a deep breath closing his eyes. “I care for you.” When he opens them I notice his eyes full of doubt. Doubt that I may say I feel the same but caring can mean plenty of things.
“I care for you too.” Mine meant more. A little chuckle escaped his lips. He looked down like I wasn’t getting the point.
“No,” He shakes his head. “I care for you,” He put more emphasis on the word.
“I care-”My words tumbling out in a rush to repeat myself, when suddenly Bellamy’s hands pull us together. His lips brushed against mine. The kiss was gentle, yet insistent, and I felt my words die on his lips. His fingers moved to tangle in my hair making the kiss more intense. I felt a rush of sensation, two hearts beating into one rhythm. But when I returned the kiss it sent my head into a haze. The endless space we were surrounded by seemed miniscule; it didn’t matter to us. My hands slid down his arms and down his waist to pull us closer. He groans as I pull us apart for air. Bellamy’s eyes locked onto mine, his gazing yearning for something. “I care.” I breathe let out. My heart flutters seeing his lips curving upward into a smile.
“Good.” I scoff at hearing his cockiness.
“Such a dick,” I laughed, pushing him off playfully.
“Wait-no.” He stops me from moving by catching me and wrapping his arms around me. He knew I wasn’t mad; we both had a smile. “You didn’t let me finish,” I roll my eyes and until I look into his eyes he continues, “Good, because now I can show you how much more I care.” Okay, the butterflies are back. I caught him before he could lean in and capture my lips again by placing my palm on his forehead.
“You can show me once we eat Monty’s wonderful soup.”
“Ugh,” He throws his head back like a little kid.
“It probably tastes worse than yesterday.” He looks down with a pleading look but I shake my head.
“And like yesterday,” I grab his face and pull him closer, “We are going to be good friends and eat it.” I quickly peck his lips and rush out of his arms. "You coming?” I look back as I walk away leaving him standing by the window.
“Always.”
