A long time ago, we used to be friends... The Veronica Mars pilot aired 20 years ago today- on the 22nd of September, 2004.
#I got weirdly emotional making this... lil tear in my eye maybe- dont tell anyone#God I just loved this show so much since I was like 10 years old and its been 18 yrs and I rewatched 100 times when I used to make gifs#I mean this blog exists becuase this show compelled me enough to learn how to make gifs- i still have an email from 2012 telling WB#we want a movie to finish the series- i donated to the kickstarter i was there for all the fun that entailed I watched the movie i read#the book- god did I love this series. so nostalgic for me now... thinking about the wire and how julian wouldnt let garak go for any reason. garak lies (of course he lies that's what he does), he becomes rude and aggressive, he makes up stories to purposefully make himself despicable in julians eyes (although to be fair he has done *things*), he insults julian personally he even physically attacks him. julian doesnt faulter. when garak tells the doctor hes an addict julian only looks at him with compassion, which of course garak hates, but in the end there is nothing he can do to get this stupidly stubborn gorgeous fucking doctor away from him.

Been thinking about the X-Files recently. A show I have a hazy, but fond memory of.
#the x files#x files#fox mulder#dana scully#poorly drawn x files#is this going to be a thing? maybe?#iirc: The x-files is about two FBI agents who are trying so hard to be professional and not fall in love. And everything is a conspiracy.#...It *has* been nearly a decade since I saw the x files. I think I'd have a hard time rewatching for a few reasons but I did enjoy it.#This was initially just a work doodle I wasn't going to clean up#but the amount of x-files fans that Ive seen about + Lazycranberryart's wangxian x-files art got my brain too fired up.#Mulderscully vibes are like: "I'm her silly rabbit. she doesn't call me that outloud. But I believe in my heart it's true.'#Its about having faith and trust in each other! They might not always agree either but they have each other's backs!#Scully is 100% the one that kills the spiders in the relationship. Mulder wants to rescue them but his ideals aren't strong enough#Girl Daddy and Baby Girl Boy. That's who they are to me.

A Batman who kills people is a bad Batman. Except for Terry because he is my special boy. Terry can drown a man it's ok. He can literally shatter a woman it's fine.
#batman beyond#batman#terry mcginnis#I am doing my yearly rewatch to stave off a total collapse of the flesh vessel and wow#Terry kills so many fucking people in Season 1#even the people who he turns out to not have actually killed like...a reasonable person would think they were dead#there's no fucking way that Terry didn't shatter Inque thinking she would die. he killed the Terrific Trio in Heroes like yeah they#were dying anyways but that's like saying 'oh yeah I stabbed a terminally ill person but that's not murder bc they were dying'#he 100% killed/intended to kill at least like 5 people in the pilot ALONE#and Bruce just...doesn't say shit. he's like 'welp that's Terry I guess. he doesn't follow the same code as me'#On one hand that is a fascinating way to show how Bruce has become even more jaded and borderline apathetic to the evils of#the world (as also shown with his inaction towards Powers and general retreat from everything). On the other...what the hell#I want a Batman Beyond remake for so many reasons and one of them is because I feel like a more traditional plot structure#would further make this part of Terry's version of Batman really interesting as a drama driver
