I just think Jack would go on long, beautifully verbose speeches about the depth of his feelings...

....and then follow it up with some kind of inappropriately funny reference that almost makes you laugh. Except you can't because he means it SO SO MUCH.

Like, he could totally do something like Dean's my-dad-is-gone speech to Gordon. The one about how losing your father is like a dark hole inside of you (2x03 Bloodlust):

DEAN: Yeah. Yeah, you know. He was just one of those guys. Took some terrible beatings, just kept coming. So you're always thinking to yourself, he's indestructible. He'll always be around, nothing can kill my dad. Then just like that (snaps) he's gone. I can't talk about this to Sammy. You know, I gotta keep my game face on. (clears throat) But, uh, the truth is I'm not handling it very well. Feel like I have this - GORDON: Hole inside you? And it just gets bigger and bigger and darker and darker? Good. You can use it. But Jack would present all the eloquence of above and follow it up with something like:

"I feel like Jo from Twister. Her dad was trying to hold the door closed, to protect her from the storm and--and then it just sucked him away."

Anyway some brief Jack lore:

- He's a Nomad turned Corpo because he wanted the best things in life, but mostly for his ill daughter.

- His daughter died a few years back - around 2074, due to unforseen circumstances.

- He's been with Nisha for the last ten years.

- He will never admit his daughter's death was his own doing.

- He gifted Nisha twenty acres of land, in which Nisha made a literal sleepy cowboy town (that he funded to be built).

- His cyberware (which will be added once I find working mods lol) is what will cause his downfall in the end of his story.

- He actually has heterchromia but will wear contacts to mix and match to throw people off.

- His favorite color is yellow.

- He currently lives with Nisha in her sleepy town due to his grief being difficult to handle.

Jack Howl!

Jack loves listening to people talk about themselves and their interests; he loves to hear about your adventures, and probably gets a lot of fun ideas for trips to go on himself. He definitely asks to come on your next adventure with you, regardless of what it is. He doesn't read much outside school, but he'd love to hear you talk about the books you're reading! He's very protective of his friends, so he also has a smaller group of friends. He invites you along to any first-year hangouts but he makes sure there's no pressure for you to join them. Overall, he's just happy to have friends to share his adventures with.

Malleus Draconia!

Malleus adores books and stories and loves finally having someone to talk to about them. He'll probably invite you to his many, many library outings; he likes hearing you talk about whatever book you're interested in. He also asks you if you could make a playlist for him based on some of his favorite stories. He spends a lot of time in Diasomnia by himself, so feel free to pop by whenever you want. He'll definitely invite you to any Diasomnia event or get-together, and since he understands you're a bit shy he'd really appreciate when you DO come to them!

(I know the Ying Yang world’s whole ordeal was that if you jump back out of it without both yoyos, it basically turns you into the complete opposite of yourself.

But if you think I’m absolutely not going to play around with that concept, and tie the fact that Good Jack, on multiple occasions, was willing to sacrifice himself for the sake of others back to regular Jack somehow, you’d be wrong.)

Kindergarten Jack headcanons based on things I’ve had students do (I work in an after school program with (k-4th graders)) :

REFUSES to sit down when asked. Not in a malicious way or anything he just truly forgot you asked him to sit down 3 seconds ago.

When he’s caught going through the teacher drawers he would look the teacher in the eyes and say “you’re working too hard! let me help you. You’ll get tired!” all the teachers hearts melt. Jack is told to please put all the scissors back.

When one of the teachers mentions off hand it’s gonna be hot tomorrow Jack proceeds to go up to every other kid at Recess and tells them “to dress in summer clothes! and wear sunscreen!! it’s gonna be hot tomorrow!” of course the next day he shows off his spider-man water bottle he has because “it’s important to drink water when it’s toasty!” (he later proudly says that his daddy has a batman one that matches his! to any kid who will listen)  

Jack pulls on the teachers coats and makes heart hands up at them when they line up to go outside and then smiles the goofiest smile.

Wants to be the door holder EVERYDAY so that he can say hi to everyone. Will get upset when someone doesn’t say thank you “my daddy’s tell me to ALWAYS say please and thank you! or else it’s RUDE!”

BONUS:

When a teacher says they are actually 200 years old and winks telling him it’s a secret he would 100% blurt out that he’s actually god and that it’s a BIG secret. His teachers would roll with it easily (cause kids will tell you they are secretly the WEIRDEST SHIT) and later at check out the teacher informs Dean “Jack told me he was secretly god today so watch out for that later” and laughs. Of course Dean feels his heart fall out of his ass until Jack later informs him “teacher is actually 200 years old! they have a secret too!” and Dean realized what was happening here.

Jack at the age is now, grows a second pair of wings. It's painful at first but he gets through it because he's strong and he wraps the second set around his body for comfort when he's anxious and uses his first set of wings as a sort of security blanket.

It's already been made clear Aku and Jack won't be having kids anytime soon, but when Aku explained why it's near impossible for him to carry a child to full term, he says it like he's seen it happen before. That begs my curiosity: Did Aku attempt to impregnate himself, wanting to create an army of his offspring (since he probably wouldn't want the company of a pregnant female), only to give up when he kept losing unborn children due to accidentally shapeshifting? Just asking ^^;

to be completely truthful, there were a few panels originally intended for that ask that i cut out, primarily because i wasn’t (and am still not) entirely certain i want to make the idea of Aku trying to have children with Jack and failing canon. I’m leaning towards not because that’s a whole mess of issues on top of everything else he and Jack already have. IE, potentially from there I would have had Aku keep this a secret from Jack because one: he thinks it would be devastating for Jack to the point of breaking their relationship, and two: deep down he would consider it a personal failure due to his unique “biology.”

Aku knows Jack wanted a “normal” life, back with his parents and with a human partner, and in some ways he tries to replicate that in hopes Jack will stay with him. He doesn’t actually understand, despite Jack telling him in both absolutely clear and in other more subtle ways, that Jack truly wants to be with him now and isn’t going to leave him at the drop of a hat. Jack does have his own issues, one of the main ones being he never actually dealt with his grief over losing his parents and home, but his choice was still his own and he chose this path instead of the one he thought he had to follow. Aku understands he and Jack are together now and Jack is with him— Aku, the demon wizard— but his fears constantly threaten to overwhelm him, mostly because this is the first time he’s ever valued someone and it just so happens to be the one person he has such a personal history with.

…But in the meantime, it’s easier for myself and everyone to run with the canon that Aku has logically concluded that’s what his body would do, since his body absorbs everything else unless he is willfully forcing it not to

there’s some more biological/magical shit that really boils down to aku wanting the child to be his and jack’s rather than just his own clone, which is why he would need to do this through that method rather than just willing a child into existence, but anywayyyy))

Jack: Street!AU Personal Background

Jack is apart of the уєℓℓσωяαιи underground performance group. Ironically, her spirit animal (as they refer to them), is the Jackal.

She never graduated high school, so she became the black sheep of the Comstock family.

Her family is relatively modest, living in an okay part of town. They run a small business called the Ruse Boutique. It’s a cafe that focuses on creating a brand name with their quality products. They serve coffee, tea, and the usual drinks. They specialize in breakfast and lunch, thus opening at 4 in the morning and closing at 4 in the afternoon. Their main shop also specializes in selling handcrafted sculptures. So far, there are three locations.

Considering all of the above, Jack also has a hand in the family business. However the main stakes go to her brother, Vincent, after he graduates with his diploma in business. It doesn’t bother Jack though. She makes the bulk of her living by running the streets, anyway.

Jack goes through extremes to maintain her ‘black sheep’ status. And to look otherwise normal. The further away she keeps herself from her family, the less likely they become puppets in someone’s game. And the more ordinary she looks, the less likely people will ask how she makes a living for herself.

Although she doesn’t lie about it, either. She’s a street performer. She loves tp play her violin with the beat boxers. But she never plays the cello unless she’s in the privacy of her own home.

Jack and her father have an extremely strained relationship. She was kicked out of the house at 15 with no where to go.

And with no place to go, at 15, she’s experienced the terrors of what the locales can do... And no one can replace that innocence. Her father had no right to do that to her.

She doesn’t like people getting too close, for that reason. She trusts almost no one. She rightfully does not wear her heart on her sleeve.

Jack recently started therapy that she attends when she can.

Her apartment is filled with art. She’s got digital prints. She has lots of origami sculptures to decorate her walls with. She even has paper plants. Because, well, her black thumb extends all the way down to her big toe. :D

A lot of what she does is her way to escape the pain she has gone through. So her rock sessions on the cello? Yeah, that’s just her using your ears as a therapy mat. :D

She’s kind of lonely.

⋆ :Minor personality flaw or quirk

Jack had a couple of minor flaws where she trend to change her gaze when being nervous and doesn’t look directly at other, and often rub her scalp at some point.

She is often crossing her arms or warping her stomach as if she could have been in pain but no, that’s just how she acted, all the time and when she’s sitting down, listening to someone else with a obvious straight poker face.  

Oh speaking of sitting down, she usually had one or both of her legs on the chair, because “ya know? It’s comfortable that way.” 

✩ :Belief they’ve questioned/struggled with

Jack struggled a lot in her childhood and in the past relationships, involving her parents. From losing someone in the family, to having her first heartbreak to unable to hear the three syllable word of confession for the second to fourth time, she never believe in love itself. Love from others and to be loved by others. 

As a result, she had stranded herself away from that feeling and instead, let her own thing, the music, her own single life, and just everything on her way,just to take her away from that feeling. Because she think she had long give up on it. 

✰ :Weird thing they want to try or have tried

Jack never admit that she had once tried to get into a sewer in her rebel high school life. It was the weirdest thing she ever attempt to and encounter something in there. Of course Electronica, her Emolga was with her that whole time.��

The story? She will never tell everyone about it, because…it was so weird.

minato + death headcanons (before coming back to iwatodai) under cut ok ok death at first is just kinda looks at minato funny but cant talk…. it just looks at minato from afar since it cant really leave minato…..

minato was able to experience the dark hour since it very first began

one day little minato breaks down and cries and death is like “!!!!” and super concerned. so if little minty was still crying or upset when the dark hour came death would try to cheer him up or cuddle him…..often little minty would fall asleep while death is cuddling him…..

death wonders why theyre so cornered about this human but then theyre like....it doesnt matter i care bout this kid

one night little minato asks death if it has a name but death cant talk so it just tilts its head….so little minato nicknames him pharos because ! he thinks it’s a cool name. as time goes on minato tries to find ways to communicate w/ death better so ! they use body language to talk and ! that’s how minato became so quiet natured….. death continues to watch over minato as he’s growin up and they become !! best friends…death also acts as emotional support for minato whenever he needs it….but when minato is getting ready to transfer to iwatodai death. takes away minato and their own memory about the dark hour and the shadows he has seen bc. death knows that his other shadow pieces are there…death doesnt want minato to get hurt by them…..

Y’know all those spooks and specters and other Halloweeny creatures? I’m their guide, you could say. Every year I lead ‘em all across the river and let ‘em back for one night and one night only, and then I take ‘em all back. But you’d better watch your kids, they come after me sometimes, seeing the glow in the woods. I try to lead ‘em back out but sometimes they slip by and they end up becomin’ one of my spooks for next year. Keheheh.

I think Jack's wings would be mostly tan-ish with some lighter blonde and some white on the underside. I also imagine some gold flecks here and there that would get caught in the light or that would shine brightly when he uses his powers.

Oh gosh that would be so cute, I love the blonde and tan-ish combo would be so adorable (and it would also match his hair colour too 💛) 

I also really like the idea of his feathers have the lil gold flecks and the glowing from within whenever he uses his grace.

Holy shit your Jack-Aku hybrid theory actually makes sense. o_O To add on, maybe his perception of other villains/bad guys he fought bled into his perception of Aku? Like when he yelled "Come on!! Give me some money!!", that did NOT sound like a Japanese accent. It sounded like a badly done Italian accent. Who else has that accent? CACCIATORE. And his less refined manner of speaking could be from the more 'Gangster' mooks he met. Holy shit you made my brain explode.

it’s entirely possible! his subconscious may have been pooling in his associations of “evil” or “cruel” that jumped in when he was actively trying to help the sightseer, and i can imagine that his time as a chicken is likely still fresh at that point, so there’s more than likely some bitterness that persisted in him. perhaps, having had experiences with others taking advantage of his misfortune, all that came forth again in that moment and Aku’s magic pulled it out into reality.

i mean i love phil but since when has he given jack an accent? jack has a formal, no-contraction way of speaking, yes, but not a proper accent
