Honestly considering that season 3 was terrible and that they killed off Qilby (I’m not sure how season 4 is I just got spoiled on a lot and I couldn’t bring myself to finish) as well as some of ToT’s behavior recently I just no longer have any interest in season 5 of Wakfu. Something was lost in translation during the transition from season 2 to season 3 and I don’t think they’re gonna get it back for the last season. Idk though, I guess we’ll see

thinking about jeremy hitting rock bottom his freshman year, losing so much in one disastrous night, the repercussions of which would continue to haunt him for years. thinking about jeremy spiralling so bad cody said they “really thought we were going to lose him for a while there.” cat saying the right therapist can be “life changing”, using jeremy as an example. thinking about how bad jeremy’s crash out must have been, understandably; thinking about his family continuing to blame him for noah’s death—from the coldness of annalise, to the outright antagonism of bryson, to joshua ignoring him for years. the wilshires doing everything in their power to cover up what happened at the banquet rather than lending an ounce of support to a boy who had lost his brother in terrible circumstances, because jeremy was there, because it was so much easier to blame him for all of it. coldblooded, if you ask me. jeremy needed help, not damage control.

thinking about jeremy having probably the worst year of his life, having the opposite of emotional support from his family, and still somehow coming out of it a better person. thinking of all the work he put in to be better and succeeding—i’d rather die than ever be that person again. believe me. despite the hostility of his family system, despite being blamed for the fallout, despite the guilt and heartbreak that “nearly destroyed him”. still jeremy managed to build a new life for himself out of the wreckage, going so far as to be captain of the trojans, with a team who respect and admire him. still he managed to come out of it with such a capacity for kindness and goodness and lifting the people around him up.

thinking about jeremy continuing to be the human embodiment of sunshine despite living in such a cold home that was never forgiving or warm to him. jeremy knox, you will always be loved by me.

REALLY hate to see these several comments under grian’s new hc ep 28 about “yeah, looks like joel left a mark with these intros on grian and mumbo”.

first of all, that’s just not, second of all, that’s just upsetting.

grian and mumbo have already had several intros before in this season, they have their own lore and own styles for these intros for a reason. grian is very sensitive to his ideas and their creation (he talked about this in the context of the ideas for the life series before), mumbo has been working as professional cinematographer for several years now. grian even had similar lore intros/outros in previous seasons. but it just so happens that both grian and joel have clearly been watching the “severance” series lately, so both their last intros referencing that. and such comments, mostly the wording, simply devalue a person's whole work because of comparison with someone else.

imagine you're doing a cool project, and then someone say about your work that “well, it’s like [name]’s style”. sure, great!

pls be more mindful about the wording of your comments.

i have been trying to figure out why the whole 'fae god' and katniss everdeen things with kendrick lamar on here were bothering me, and i think i finally put it into words.

most posts like that are probably coming from well-meaning white people (i am also partially a White People, to be clear), who otherwise dont really listen to rap. they cannot find a way to 'relate' to this black man who sings largely about issues that affect the black community– and rather than try and meet him where he is, they have to fit him into these little tumblr cultural boxes before he can be 'palatable' to them.

they have to shave off the rougher/more abrasive aspects of his work and activism because it makes them uncomfortable, that way they can pigeonhole him into something that allows them to enjoy his work without the critical analysis that MUST come with it

he is not your fae god, he is not a YA protagonist, he is not a little gremlin or a cinnamon roll or a blorbo. He is a human being with opinions and beliefs that deeply permeate his work, and to ignore that truth is to ignore the entire point. PLEASE try to engage with artists' work outside of the lens of tumblr fandom, and i mean that as nicely as possible. you are doing YOURSELF a disservice
