Hey, there, diary. I left the house today and it wasn't for just going to the library! Are you proud of me? Are you even sentient? No, probably not. But, y'know, I wouldn't be the most surprised.

Any guesses as to where I went? No? Fair. I went to... GoodTimes Cafè! It's a really nice place. I'd recommend it to you if you gave a shit. But then, you're a book and I'm talking to blank pages.

Anyways, GoodTimes Cafè. It's run by someone who used to go to my highschool back when I had friends and wasn't a crippling mess and Xornoth was actually alive.

Back then, however, it was run by his dad. A nice guy, no doubt. But then he died of some disease and his son was forced to run the place. As for who his son is, I didn't remember until I went today.

The place was nearly full when I entered. There was only one seat for two people in the corner of the room, perfect for looking out the window. I wasn't in the mood for cooking breakfast so I was here.

I ordered waffles and coffee 'coz why not. The guy working at the moment looked at me for a good minute before shaking himself and taking down my order.

I sighed and looked out the window, watching birds flutter from one tree to another, singing their joyous song. I'm not sure how I feel about them, honestly. Sometimes I think 'huh, what pretty creatures' and other times I think 'shut up for once'.

Anyways, I was there, contemplating life, when the guy working - what, is he the only working? - comes up with my food and a bright smile.

"I remember you, now! You're that guy from highschool. The one who argued with the drama teacher just to get the role of Juilliet in the play! I think the rumours said that you did that just to kiss a boy you liked?"

I pulled on a smirk - for old times' sake - and said, "I'm pretty sure I started that rumour." For the record, I did. I started that. It was true, though. I did use it to kiss a boy I liked. That boy just so happens to be Mr. I-met-at-the-library.

"Well, good to see you around! You've not been coming out much, as Owen tells me."

"Darling, I came out 4 years ago and it was a hard time."

The guy laughed and set down my food so that he didn't drop it. "Alright then. I'm Scar, by the way." I smiled at him and said, "I'm Scott, but I think Owen told you that."

It didn't occur to me that Scar knew Owen, really. Owen knows a lot of people I don't. And plenty I do.

He left with a grin, leaving me to eat my breakfast.

Just then, Mr. Library walks in. I watched him as he realised there was no vacant seat... except for the one just across from me.

"Hey..." he said hesitantly, "Mind if I sit here?" I nodded and gestured for him to sit down, unable to speak because my mouth was too full of waffle to do that.

Scar comes by to take his order, smiling at me as he does. God, does that man ever stop smiling? He gets an omlet along with some toast and a coffee.

"Uhm, I realised I never told you my name. I'm Jimmy."

And that's when everything clicked.

All I can think to say is, "That's nice to know. At least I'll have something to call you other than Mr. Library."

Jimmy snorted in laughter, "You called me Mr. Library?"

I rolled my eyes and said, "It's not exactly like you left me a name." To that, he shrugged.

Talking to Jimmy was surprisingly nice. He, as it turns out, is extremely easy to flirt with. I even got his number. Little by little, I felt the old me seeping back in through cracks I thought my brother's death closed up.

Maybe the old me isn't so dead after all.

Honest to god Titans Tower is probably the funniest thing that's ever happened in comics to me? Like, there's so much to unpack here it's insane?? The tear-away stripper Red Hood costume? The knock-off Robin costume with the stupid ass yellow tights that somehow looks worse than if Jason just rocked the bare thighs? The way Jason is drawn like he is fully 35 with two stepkids and a mortgage? Jason inventing fanfiction about Tim and Bruce's relationship in his head because he refuses to believe Tim actually stalked his way into being Robin?? Trying to mimic his crowbar death by beating Tim with his own staff but I as a reader am entirely unable to take it seriously because of those stupid fucking tights-

And then you get to Tim's side of things and he says like, all of 5 things the entire time and three of them are a coded 'fuck you'. He has absolutely no time or respect for Jason's pity party and it's actually hysterical because Jason cannot stop yapping. Meanwhile, Tim is like, definitely losing the fight which makes it funnier?? Then the ending?? Jason scrawling "Jason Todd was here" on the wall in blood (or red paint meant to look like blood, up in the air) and signing it with a handprint like he's a middle schooler who just discovered Creepypasta???? Ripping the 'R' off Tim's costume when he's literally already unconscious?? Zipping away from the scene thinking "damn I actually like that kid, wish I had friends tbh"??

And then it's literally never brought up again.

Imagine my reaction when I accidentally gave Loop a flower after trying already and they accepted it. I adored that 'yeah we won't speak of this, but I accept your stupid flower' scene more than anything and it was pure text after little scene

saying this as respectfully as possible but. Do not put fandom content creators on a pedestal. We are also just fans contributing to a community just as you are. We have boundary on our own work and that’s it. What I say is not and should not be considered sth the whole fandom should listen to. I’m just a normal ass person ranting about things on my blog. If it does not have a fandom tag for others to engage in, do not make it out to be me trying to start fights or addressing the whole community. Because it’s not.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, my art, my lore talk, is biased. I’ve never tried to hide that I view Marika a certain way and will always develop my theory following that base assumption.

Aside from translation stuffs and pointing out in-game items, everything else I say you can look at it, agree or disagree, and move on to form your own opinions. Just because I draw stuffs doesn’t mean you get to saddle me with responsibilities about managing fandom expectations. What the hell? I’m a fan artist, I’m the last person who you should look at for “leaderism” (?) WHAT?

I can and will be a hater in my own space, like I know sometimes other artists will just post their stuffs and not engage too heavily with fandom, and for a while I did try to do that here (because I’m already a dramatic ass on twitter), that’s just not me though.

You will get art and you will get my opinions as well.

It makes me so sad when fanfiction writers come to me for writing advice, and they say something along the lines of "I write fanfic (and I'm trying to get into real writing too)", "I'm a fanfiction writer and I plan to write original fiction someday but now is just not the right time for me", or "I'm not a real writer but I write fanfic"

babes you don't have to justify writing fanfiction to me. you also don't need to tell me your plans to eventually write original fiction to be worthy of asking for writing advice.

Writing original fiction is not inherently better than writing fanfiction. Writing fanfiction is real writing. If you want to write original fiction too, great! If writing fanfiction is all you want to do, that is wonderful as well.

Do what makes you happy and be proud in the knowledge that writing isn't easy, and you're actually doing it!

You know. I have Thoughts now about Olric.

I originally wanted him added as a romance option (as do many others) and I think I changed my mind! I love him and he's amazing and supportive and he likes rocks but what I think so far that I really super love for him? Is how friendly he is and so far (I'm not far) he has zero romance related lines. Like he's not a romance option, but looking at the other NPCs (the innkeeper/wife, the general store owner/wife, the retired socialite who talks about past flings) I think Olric stands out as possibly the only one I can hope for aroace representation.

Let this guy just exist with the most positive vibes ever because he's just a good guy with positive vibes for everyone.
