Open letter on the anti-Palestinian and Islamophobic environment at Emory University
Students at Emory University have been targeted by racist, anti-Palestinian, xenophobic, and Islamophobic harassment and attacks for their support for Palestinian human rights. Instead of helping, Emory has committed discriminatory acts of its own.

Tw hate crime, racism, islamaphobia.
A group of white islamaphobic men in Walsall attacked a Muslim family at around 7pm on the 28th May 2023.
What was this Muslim family doing to warrant being beaten by this islamaphobes?
...Having a picnic in a park.
Doe Bank Park in Pheasey, Walsall to be precise.
Two members suffered head and facial injuries.
The woman in the family was reportedly on crutches holding a child that was pushed out of her arms.
These men were armed.
Reports of them screaming and swearing at the family calling them "dirty muslims" and "this is our country. We're here to damage you and send you back to your own country."
This was not an accident.
This is a hate crime.

Posting this in English is probably a mistake but im begging goyim to stop using term zionism. Zionism is a Jewish movement based on Jewish values, and you guys hijacked the term and decided it means that every zionist is supporting genocide against Palestinians. Some definitely are, dont get me wrong, bad people exist everywhere. But can yall please fucking stop acting like you own our terminology. Zionism does not mean what you think it does and there are many different ways to be a zionist. Many zionists believe in the two state solution. Many zionists want peace. Many zionists are anti apartheid. Im a Zionist. I am anti genocide, anti islamaphobia, anti Israeli government, anti occupation, pro two state solution. I was raised by a Zionist rabbi (my dad) to believe everyone deserve peace and basic human respect, no matter if they are Israeli jews, Israeli arabs or Palestinians. You don't get to decide for Jewish people what a Jewish word means. You guys took a Jewish term and made it into an antisemitic slur.

A little thought nugget ahead of today's chapter (did I just make up thought nugget? what does that even mean?)
In mundane aus where Magnus was born and raised in Indonesia, I've always wondered about his religious affiliation. It's a very religious country and like most Asian children, he would've grown up with a religious background - even if I do see him growing out of it as an adult.
Considering the above, I think Magnus would mostly like to be a Muslim (since more than 75% of their population follows Islam) - especially if he's from Jakartha (which I think he would be - considering it's the capital).
So, in the context of OFRI, it means he had an Islamic upbringing. I don't see Asmodeus being super religious (I'm trying to stay true to his prince of hell background lmao) but I do see his mother being religious.
Anyway, to sum it up, Magnus is more likely a Muslim - although as an adult I see him embracing different practices and ways of life - including Buddhism (he gives me vibes idk).

when you're halfway through a video essay on zionism by a semi-popular video essayist whose videos you enjoy on occasion and it's already a little shaky but then the essayist cites mosab hassan yousef like he's a serious person

I understand that it's mostly an ignorance thing, but I shut down every time someone refers to hamas as terrorists
"But hamas does horrible things" oh? do you call all organizations and people who kill civilians terrorists? no? okay then what specifically has you calling hamas terrorist. any distinguishing factor?

"The jews are indigenous to Palestine!"
"no, the Palestinians are!"
Actually that shit dosent actually matter beacuse both jews and palestinians are there and have deep cultural connections to the land so its really unfair to kick millions of people born and raised in a country out beacuse they're not indigenous. Instead of fighting about who should be here we should all try to make our lives together as best as possible and that means stop the genocide and terrorism. So we should actually fucus on that instead of playing the blame game. Does it matter what happened in 1948? Absolutely. Will the answer to that question change anything about the current situation were in? Absolutely not. We can debate all day about what happened, but that's not actually doing anything to deal with the actual problems that are causing the genocide and terror attacks to continue.

Israel government/IDF =/= the Jewish people
Palestinian civilians =/= Hamas
Learn some nuance and have some goddamn empathy for the innocents on both sides who are suffering due to the actions of groups that do not represent them.
