Omg what’s like a nice regular date for levi and erwin? In a modern setting. Going to a nice restaurant? I like to think they like to try different cuisines once a week. Maybe one week Ethiopian food? Another indian food. And they talk about their fave ugh
omg okay okay okay (if you’re even out there anon i took foreVER to reply to u😭)
-basically, their dynamic is erwin would worry that he doesn’t take levi out on enough dates while levi is confused as to why 1 erwin even worries about that and 2 they’ve had three dates this week (2 movie nights on the couch and a nap together).
-when it comes to fine dining, Erwin's definitely the one you might say seems to have the most "refined pallate" between them, but think of it this way: Erwin knows all about types of wine and can identify them by taste; Levi takes forever really savoring them, especially fine wine, but he doesn't know much about them (unless Erwin explained it).
-Levi says he's not picky, but he orders the same dish EVERY time if he likes it well enough. Erwin encourages him to try new things, and usually he will.
-for partly that reason, they try different cuisines pretty often. i think Erwin would like Italian food the most, and Levi Chinese food.
-the other reasons are (1) Erwin is adventurous and (2) enjoys seeing Levi’s reaction to new things because before they met i see Levi as not really having the opportunity to enjoy a lot foods due to living pretty lower class? (depends on your modern au:)).
-it shocked Erwin how much Levi took to sushi despite how outraged he was at first about it being raw fish.
-Levi despises it when Erwin spends “too much” money on him (so like, the average amount), but Erwin loves splurging for Levi.
-they have a middle-ground where they spend money on each other.
-so it doesn't need to be said that Levi doesn't like fancy restaurants when they can get something that's "just as good" at a chain restaurant, but he is super into it, and more than he will express.
-not that erwin particularly sees anything wrong with chains/fast food, but for dates it's different.
-they're both slow eaters in general, but Erwin dies from old age waiting for Levi when it's gourmet. sits there super proper with the types of spoons and forks properly arranged, napkin in his lap (tho he does that anyway), etc. this is despite despising how superfluous he thinks all these rigid standards are. this is expensive, so he’s going to show Erwin he appreciates it to the fullest extent.
-they're the type of couple that's comfortable sitting in silence, including on dates.
-as for most of their dates: maybe this is unimaginative, but i think they find pleasure in simply spending time together. going on walks, reading, teatime, etc.
-Erwin’s a bit of a thrill-seeker though. bungee jumping, amusement parks, stuff like that!! levi is NOT, but if erwin's happy, then he can get some enjoyment out of these.
-but sometimes he complains a bit too much and Erwin starts to feel guilty. this is Levi’s nightmare and is quick to show him he’s exaggerating :((
-as mentioned, Levi sees together-naps as dates, but maybe that’s because he considers falling asleep as taking a lot of effort.
-but yes: being with Erwin for an extended period of time is a date to Levi.

we do have actual restaraunts and by and large theyre run by immigrants who came here and opened a restraunt. that doesnt matter though i'm here to complain about MILD, MEDIUM, AND HOT SPICE LEVELS. at the indian place in my hometown (excellent restraunt) this is a REASONABLE SCALE. it MEANS SOMETHING. at the taco place where i go to college, and also at aldi's when i buy salsa, it apparently means NOTHING. mild salsa is NOTHING. medium salsa is SPICELESS??? there is allegedly some spice in there or it wouldn't be called medium but i have yet to find it. and hot is i guess your only hope for any spice flavor at all so better hope hot is edible to you! whereas at my beloved indian restraunt mild is a bit spicy (you can taste the spice), medium is quite spicy (this is what my mom and i get), and hot is presumably india-hot but i don't know bc we stick with medium. apparently my beloved indian place is not the norm and this appalls me.
anyway. american restraunts, if they're not fast food chains (and while there are differences it's not meaningful enough to matter; mcdonalds fries are like skinnier or whatever idfc) and they're not an ethnic cuisine which usually only shows up in towns/cities big enough to support them (and therefore less common in areas that are less likely to be interested or trusting of foreign food), and they're not the occasional local american food place (like grill or whatever, but those are also usually chains like texas roadhouse or chilli's - we really don't tend to have american food restraunts. like there's one in my hometown but they're literally famous for Existing and have a cookbook even though theyre not that good) are like. diners. diners are the only non-chain american food place that i feel like consistently can be found in most places. and that's a diner. it serves diner food. and more steaks and hamburgers
shoutout to every single halal cart i've ever eaten at also. bangers forever
nodding thoughtfully. see if americans were diehard burger samurai over their local diners it'd make more sense to me. like that's respectable. i'd also be a burger smaurai if i lived near a cool diner

Unveiling Muscat's Malls: A Comprehensive Look at Shopping and Entertainment
Tumblr media
Muscat, the capital of Oman, is a city that effortlessly blends traditional charm with modern sophistication. Among the many facets of this dynamic city, its shopping malls stand out as hubs of commerce, culture, and entertainment. These malls are more than just places to shop; they are social and cultural epicentres that offer a range of experiences to both locals and tourists alike. In this blog, we’ll take a comprehensive look at the malls in Muscat, exploring what makes them a must-visit for anyone in the city.
A Fusion of Tradition and Modernity
Malls in Muscat are unique in the way they reflect the city’s character—a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. The architecture of these malls often incorporates elements of Omani heritage, with grand arches, intricate carvings, and traditional motifs adorning the walls. Yet, inside, you’ll find all the trappings of modernity, from international brands to the latest in technology and entertainment.
Shopping: A World of Choices
When it comes to shopping, the malls in Muscat offer a world of choices. Whether you’re looking for high-end luxury items, local crafts, or everyday essentials, these malls have something for everyone.
Luxury Shopping: For those who seek luxury, many of Muscat’s malls house flagship stores of international brands. Here, you can find the latest fashion trends, designer watches, jewellery, and more. The ambience in these luxury sections is often sophisticated, with personalised service that caters to the discerning shopper.
Local and Regional Brands: In addition to international brands, malls in Muscat also showcase a wide array of local and regional brands. These stores offer products that are unique to the region, from traditional Omani attire to locally crafted jewellery and souvenirs. Shopping here not only supports local businesses but also provides a deeper connection to the culture of Oman.
Affordable Shopping: Not all shopping in Muscat’s malls is about luxury. There are plenty of stores that cater to budget-conscious shoppers. From trendy yet affordable fashion to electronics and home goods, these malls offer great value for money. Seasonal sales and promotions further enhance the shopping experience, making it accessible to a broader audience.
Dining: A Culinary Journey
One of the highlights of visiting the malls in Muscat is the diverse culinary offerings. These malls are home to a wide range of dining options, from fast food to fine dining.
International Cuisine: The food courts and restaurants in Muscat’s malls bring together flavours from around the world. Whether you’re craving Italian, Chinese, Indian, or Middle Eastern cuisine, you’ll find it all under one roof. These dining spaces are perfect for a quick bite between shopping or a leisurely meal with family and friends.
Local Flavors: For those looking to experience Omani cuisine, many malls feature restaurants that serve traditional dishes. From succulent grilled meats to aromatic rice dishes and fresh seafood, these restaurants offer a taste of Oman’s rich culinary heritage.
Cafés and Dessert Shops: If you’re in the mood for something sweet, the malls in Muscat won’t disappoint. Numerous cafés and dessert shops offer everything from freshly brewed coffee to gourmet pastries and traditional sweets. These spots are ideal for taking a break from shopping and indulging in a treat.
Entertainment: More Than Just Shopping
Malls in Muscat are not just about shopping and dining; they are also major entertainment hubs. The variety of entertainment options ensures that there’s something for everyone, regardless of age or interest.
Cinemas: Many of Muscat’s malls feature state-of-the-art cinemas that screen the latest blockbusters. These cinemas offer a premium viewing experience with comfortable seating, advanced sound systems, and even VIP sections. Whether you’re a movie buff or just looking for a fun way to spend an evening, the cinemas in Muscat’s malls are a great option.
Family Entertainment Centers: For families with children, the malls in Muscat offer numerous entertainment centres that cater to younger visitors. These centres often include arcades, soft play areas, and interactive games that provide hours of fun. Some malls even have indoor amusement parks with rides and attractions for all ages.
Events and Exhibitions: Throughout the year, Muscat’s malls host a variety of events and exhibitions. These can range from fashion shows and cultural performances to art exhibitions and seasonal festivals. These events add an extra layer of excitement to the mall experience and often provide a platform for local talent to showcase their work.
Convenience and Accessibility
One of the key advantages of Muscat’s malls is their convenience and accessibility. Located in various parts of the city, these malls are easily reachable by car or public transportation. They also offer ample parking space, making them a hassle-free destination for shoppers.
Services and Amenities: The malls in Muscat are equipped with a wide range of services and amenities to enhance the visitor experience. These include everything from currency exchange and ATMs to concierge services and information desks. For families, many malls offer stroller rentals and baby-changing facilities, ensuring a comfortable visit for everyone.
Safety and Security: The safety and security of visitors are top priorities in Muscat’s malls. Security personnel are present throughout the premises, and many malls have implemented advanced surveillance systems to ensure a safe environment. Additionally, the cleanliness and upkeep of these malls are maintained to high standards, providing a pleasant and secure atmosphere for all.
A Social Hub
Beyond shopping, dining, and entertainment, malls in Muscat serve as important social hubs. They are places where people come together, whether for a casual meet-up with friends, a family outing, or a business meeting. The diverse offerings of these malls mean that there’s something for everyone, making them a go-to destination for both residents and visitors.
Conclusion: A Must-Visit in Muscat
In summary, the shopping centres in Muscat serve as more than mere retail spaces; they play a vital role in the social and cultural landscape of the city. With their blend of traditional and modern elements, diverse shopping and dining options, and extensive entertainment facilities, these malls offer a comprehensive experience that appeals to a wide audience. Whether you’re a local looking for a convenient place to shop and relax, or a tourist eager to explore Muscat’s modern attractions, the city’s malls should be on your list of places to visit.

Hey friend! Asking you some horrible questions. 14, 34, and 51. ❤️❤️
Oh, hello, dear favorite writer! Thank you for asking me this! 😍😍
14: Do you miss someone?
kind of difficult to answer, though, since i'm not really good with emotions, especially my own. but sometimes i think of my late dad once in a while and miss old friendships that have fallen away a bit.
34: Who/what was your last dream about?
i can't really remember much, actually. but the most recent dream i can recall is about some random actress i don't even know, showing up as a damsel in distress for me to rescue.
i don't know why, maybe it's my subconscious wanting to be helpful and useful, but every single time i dream of someone, especially those i love (including my favorite), i always dream of helping them with something or rescuing them from some apocalyptic event.
i even dreamt of trying to help someone dodge attacks on a large ancient wooden ship while flying demons screamed "beware of seraphim" out of nowhere. i woke up, googled it, and realized that's the name of celestial beings in religion. and i'm like… was that a calling??? wait… who was i helping again? and why am i always the rescuer???
51: Favourite food?
as a thai person, i pretty much eat everything, so it's hard to narrow down my favorite foods. but when it comes to cuisines, i can say i enjoy thai, chinese, japanese, korean, indian, mexican, greek, turkish, italian, french, even american fast food. it seems i enjoy a bit of everything! haha.
in thai culture, we don't like to say that something isn't tasty when we try it and don't enjoy it. instead, we say maybe we just don't get it or perhaps don't really know how to eat it.

Out of curiosity, and if you don’t mind me asking, what’s everyone’s favorite food and drinks in ladybug classic and the fashion club au?
ohh thats a big one, and one I havent put too much thought into. Its a little hard to like, parse "what french kids actually eat" from "what journalists want to sell you on what the french eat because french is fancy" from my research.
Marinette is a busy girl who likes quick snacks instead of full meals. Eating is a chore that gets in the way of her STUFF TO DO. I think she'd be fond of easy-to-grab easy-to-eat stuff like bread rolls, croissants, stuffed pastries (a side effect of being raised in a bakery) but in general is the kind of kid to just.. grab a bowl of rice (her mom has a rice cooker always packed with fresh rice on all the time) and/or throw whatever is leftovers on top (anything, ANYTHING.) Drinks on the other hand, she seems the type to be super into sparkling waters (strawberry) but also really likes boba teas, because the drink has an interactive element (chewy tapioca!) and it's sweet.
Felix is an odd one, he's raised on this.. plain, minimalist diet that's pretty high in protien because his dad expects him to excel in sports (boxing) so it's a lot of like.. chicken, and greens (no salt, no dressing or fluff) so he gets a little weird when given like.. spices, or flavor- in the "where have you BEEN all my life" sort of way. I really like to imagine he settles into curry as a food he likes- since it's pretty versatile, has lots of variants from savory to spicy, and it's easy to make. His drink of choice? Frilly, seasonal coffee drinks. I'm talking the raspberry-dark chocolate valentines, the pumpkin spices, the peppermints- his vice, his bribe. He gets reward money from placing well in some of his boxing tournaments (the few times his father gifts him anything) and that usually goes directly toward these drinks.
Flora kinda eats everything, even when one might not consider it edible: but she's pretty into fast food, because her family usually makes her eat really fancy foods in fancy ways (I always eat the food wrong, and mother gets mad at me.) Most times she'll just order out, with a preference for thicker deli-style sandwiches and pizza (excuse to invite friends over!) HOWEVER her drink of choice is tea! tea tea tea. She knows everything about all teas ever. She has every tea, foreign and domestic. Iced teas, hot teas, blended teas- she grows some of her own teas. She has special tea instruments, imported tea cake/preh boxes decorate her walls, several custom-made tea sets, and enough matcha to kill a man.
I dont know enough about Malagasy Cuisine to make claims for Alina, but she likes a few dishes from there- because her parents passed it down to her and Theo.. even though both were born and raised in France. Shes super chill though and tends to go with the flow on what others eat or what is offered to her, leaning towards spiced (read, not spiCY, spicED) foods rather than fatty or sweet. (i actually see her being really into like.. mexican [i'm explicitly thinking of those chamoy/chili powdered candies] or indian dishes). Almost as if she values the smell over the taste (saying this as if the two senses aren't intricately related LOL) as for drinks? I think she's someone who prefers bitter, like straight tea... maybe wine too? Iced coffee as a treat, but with only a splash of cream.
Alix is a mystery, but they seem to subsist off caffine and energy drinks. Food? Unknown. Kagami is a lot like Felix where her diet is very strict. But she probably likes fast food when nobody is looking. She adopts a craving for energy drinks from Alix.

Damon Salvatore? 🫘😳💨🤢❤️🦸
(I read the original 90s series, and watched the CW show, but I assumed you were referring mostly to the latter.)
💨: Damon is a 4/10 as a human. He farts slightly less than average, and it’s usually silent and scentless. That said, if he feeds on more than five people in a night, he’s definitely not inviting himself over for naughty times with anyone. He absolutely cannot handle when things racket up to even a 6/10. He immediately secludes himself in that state.
It’s about the same as a vampire, except his trigger foods affect him way more. They can crank things up to a 9/10 stinkwise, since he’s an expert on putting on the silencer. It’s very noticeable, and Damon will frequently crop dust locations, or use his good looks to blame some human guy (honestly it’s usually Matt, because Jeremy and Elena will fly off the handle if he does that to them) (he tried claiming NewVamp!Elena had trouble adjusting to blood, and he had a very unsexy back scrape to prove it; that sucker took three days to fully heal).
🫘: Damon cannot handle most Asian or Latin cuisine, Italian being the obvious exception. It’s not just that he’s a white bread American, but that for most of his natural life, and the first two decades of vampirism, these foods were widely available in America outside of major cities, especially not in Civil War-era Mystic Falls. He’s adapted pretty well to Chinese food after a month or two of bad reactions, but even after nearly two centuries, he still cannot handle his spice. Indian and fast-food Mexican are particularly hard on Damon’s stomach.
😳: For all his modern hedonism and living in the moment, the 19th century gentleman in Damon will blush even imagining the thought of passing gas in public (and yes, home with Stefan counts as public). His embarrassment levels are definitely a 10/10, maybe even more like a 1000/10. And with a lady love or gentleman partner? Watch him disappear to another country for the next seventy years if they’re a human, and forever if they’re a vamp. After all, he could learn to love Japan. Sweden is also supposed to be lovely.
Part of his drama trauma stems from a moment he had with Katherine. After a rich meal of Chinese food Katherine had Emily prepare for her and the Salv brothers, the foreign food, particularly the egg rolls, had an effect on Damon. He was making love to Katherine at the time it hit, and as his thrusts grew got slower, he could tell she was already losing interest.
“Why the sudden gentle act,” Katherine asked. “It’s like you’re starting over before anyone finishes.”
As a human, Damon was so desperate to please her, to beat out not only Stefan, but 300 years of other lovers, that he immediately picked up the pace.
Her moans increased as he did so, and his trademark smirk came to his face. And then… *BRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrOOOOOOOObrrtbrrt!*
The smirk dropped from Damon’s face as Katherine stared up at him in blatant disgust.
“I apologize,” Damon said as his face reddened. “I did not know I would…”
“Release worse flatulence than a horse,” Katherine supplied.
Damon hung his head in shame as Katherine climbed out from under him and walked out of his chambers laughing, obviously heading to the rooms of his perfect brother.
And so, to this day, he associates gas with another time he lost to Stef.
❤️: He will hold it until he’s blue in the face, bloated, and possibly having the first vampiric heart attack. If he doesn’t want to draw such drastic attention to himself, he’ll let it out silently whenever his partner is out of the room. This was a fairly effective tactic until Elena became a vampire and could tell whenever she came back that, at the very least, there was something lingering under the strong Febreze. After that, she pretty frequently gets snarky about Damon’s little habits and his shyness with the topic of his gas, shocked she found the one thing to make Damon nervous (well, other than the constant world-shattering Mystic Falls danger of the week).
Some quotes over time include:
“So, we had Indian. Do you want to go to the bathroom now, or should I wait for you to tell me the only thing that smells is my upper lip?”
“Just because Jeremy’s human doesn’t mean you can blame your farts on him. You know, if you really think you can keep yourself from sucking its blood, we could get a dog.”
*BRRRVVVVRRRT!* “…So I’m gonna take that as either a request for some alone time or some Tums and cuddles? Where are we going with this?”
Like, she definitely proved she has nothing in common with Katherine other than snarkiness, but honestly Damon puts up with it, because it’s a strange kind of affection he’s grown used to.
🦸‍♂️: Vampirism actually means that, if he kept an all blood diet, Damon could theoretically have very little gas, but the necessity to pass a human is important and honestly, the expanding American palate leads to more tempting offerings in a small town like Mystic Falls. Anything that gives humans gas goes double for vampires, and the stomach takes longer to adjust to new foods than it would for a human. Hence, Damon’s inability to handle Taco Bell or even Chipotle, as Tex-Mex didn’t come in freezers and go into fryers when he was human. The same goes for a lot of international cuisine as done by Virginia.

IT ME- YA BOI- AGAIN!:D
Anyway.
For your TWST ocs, what do you feel would be their favorite snacks? EXCLUDING HUMANS. Like do they have a quick or filling comfort snack or meal after a long day or maybe when they’re down?
Well, in the case of three of my six canon pred OCs, humans actually ARE their favorite snack or meal, although I don't necessarily know if they count as "comfort food" for any of them. XD For Billy, I think his favorite type of treat would be chocolate. In terms of a full meal...he has a family recipe for a chocolate-glazed pot roast that he finds absolutely delicious (as well as massively fattening). That's not really a snack, because obviously it's something that takes time to make, but it is a meal he loves making from time to time. Chocolate, in general, however, is definitely something he enjoys. He also likes marshmallows, which...given how squishy he is, that seems only fitting. Ha ha. For Nakoda, he likes sweet breads, pastries, and pudding. As I said in an Ask a while back, his "comfort breakfast" is a dish called Puri, which is an Indian staple that consists of light, airy sweet bread served WITH pudding. When he can't get that, he just likes that kind of stuff in general. It's light, sweet, and simple. Elias LOVES bacon. He will buy packs of pre-made bacon strips, and just...have those, the way a person might eat sticks of jerky or something. He's a dog boy, after all, and we all know how dogs get over "Beggin' Strips." ;) Reno is a junk food addict. He loves cheeseburgers, fries, potato chips, onion rings, all that stuff. He likes sweet things too, especially mellowcreme candies (such as candy corn or mellowcreme pumpkins), but he's happiest with food that is thick, juicy, savory, and more than a bit greasy. Also drinks a LOT of soda. James I don't think DOES comfort food. Not in the TYPICAL way, anyhow. There's nothing he considers truly "comforting" that he can just...sort of buy at the store really quick or whip up in a few minutes. About the closest thing that probably comes close is good old bread-and-butter with jelly. He does, however, very much like seafood, and also poultry-based dishes, of various sorts. (Much like Ace, though, he isn't a fan of oysters.) Speaking of seafood, this is also a favorite for Smitty and Maelstrom. Smitty's "comfort food" is fishsticks: while he does like more "sophisticated" forms of fish-based cuisine, fishsticks are something of a childhood favorite, hence why I classify them, for him, as "comfort food." Maelstrom prefers sushi, sashimi, and ESPECIALLY kalimari, although it's hard to say if that last one qualifies as typical "comfort snack" type stuff. Theodore has a sweet tooth. He particularly loves hard candies, such as lollipops and gobstoppers, as well as red licorice, and a few forms of sweet bread, such as gingerbread. It's something a lot of people don't expect when they first meet him, but he REALLY enjoys sweet and sugary stuff. It's a combo of a fast metabolism and him keeping himself decently in shape that prevents him from gaining about a billion tons of weight. XD Finally, Grit has a love for lime creme pie and hot cocoa. This is actually a reference to "Return to Oz," where the Nome King - his inspiration - dines on "Limestone Pie and Hot Melted Silver" in front of Dorothy and her friends. Since Grit is only HALF Nome, I figure he'd prefer the more human-friendly version of the same. XD In-canon, the reason he loves these so much is because of his Mom. No one makes them the way she does, but he loves them even when they are "inferior copies." Ha Ha.

Does he have a favorite kind of cuisine?
Thank you! You're a Sirius superstar!
I can imagine that a roast chicken dinner is his signature. He is super picky about his ingredients and does extra things like brining the chicken.
He first learned to cook when he got his own place and got sick of living on toast and burnt eggs. Then he found a cookbook in a shop and at first he enjoyed the thrill of doing houseelf work (his mother would be horrified at the thought of a Black cooking) and then he found he enjoyed it for its own sake.
As a Londoner he would enjoy a chicken shop. Chicken shops (as we call them) are fried chicken establishments that are found everywhere in london. They are worryingly cheap and often name themselves after random American states, like Alaska Fried Chicken.
Biscuits are odd to brits-they are similar to scones which are usually sweet.
I can see him liking traditional British food and Indian curry.
