Look at how incredible this is! I cannot wait to get this in person and actually read it. I know that the audio book is also going to go so hard *just like they all do*

Plus it’s going to be 500+ pages…..we are so not ready for what this book is about to bring. With everything, I know it’s gonna be a rollercoaster from start to finish.

I’ve been keeping up with the High Republic since it was first announced and seeing these characters grow and change has been such an emotional/fulfilling journey. It’s gunna be hard to say goodbye to these characters for awhile. I’m gunna miss em so much. Avar, Elzar, Stellan, Vernestra, Marchion, Bell, Keevee, Xylan Graff, Marda, Kevmo, Loden, Imri, and Gavi all of you will have my heart forever 🫶🏽🫶🏽😭

I can't believe anyone is entertaining the idea that Vernestra Rwoh would ever abuse a padawan under her care. This is the woman who practically quit the Jedi order because she thought her padawan had died and named her ship after him after he presumably passed away of old age.

Clearly the trauma of everything that happened with the Nihil has made her a bit cynical but this would be such a 180 from literally everything we know about the character.

Qimir clearly got that scar from a sith, the scene is not being subtle at all about that.

Thinking about how people can be a reflection of those around them, the people that raised them and their family.

And how Qimir, despite probably never meeting them (other than maybe Imri when he was very young) other than Vernestra he's got so many traits of those that came before him.

I've mentioned how I read his reaction to sensing Vernestra as more, a traumatised person can find it hard to accept affection. So they both seem to run away when feeling hurt.

Their critiques of the jedi.

Imri and Elzar's struggle with the dark side.

Temptation of the force showed a lot of affection being shown via food with Avar and Elzar in comparison with everyone going "he made her soup!".

Also Elzar's flirtiness and desire for a relationship.

Stellan's understanding and willing to wait, everyone's pointed out he respects Osha's consent.

Both Elzar and Stellan's absolute respect for Avar and women in general.

It's just so good.

I hate Star Wars because Han Solo's fake ex-wife's great great great grandma('s relative?) was in the messiest relationship with the leader of the most fearsome group of pirates in the galaxy arguably but that's not the point because this great grandma('s relative?)'s daughter was studying crystals as a kid before she went missing and stole the kyber crystal of this blonde jedi padawan she was good friends with whose master was a 17 year old jedi knight whose former master became in charge of this space station the pirate leader from earlier destroyed later the aftermath of which led to Yoda returning from his sabbatical with this 150+ something years old (human) jedi-ish who's been through the horrors of the force being eaten from him and had terrifying visions and kinda turned to the dark side while his wookie jedi friend watched in horror and later the wookie jedi settled on this planet with these super cute bird guys that were aided by the wookie jedi's former padawan and her padawan at some point before the pirates took down the space station and around this time there was this jedi that arrived on the bird guys' planet who had a cool ass hat and knew this pirate queen who lived far beyond all those people i mentioned and had this castle where eventually Luke Skywalker's first lightsaber ended up but none of that was a part George Lucas' original vision:(
