Silver is such an awesome character

I always see people mention idia for disability representation -specifically autism- which is great, he’s canonically using an ipad for speech support and its very clear about his strong interests , etc. like as an autistic person in the same age group as him its.. so obvious. However ive always resonated with silver more, i feel like idia gives off more willing antisocial lifestyle, hes pretty sarcastic and comes off as rude (within reason lmao being a nrc student must suck), he doesnt enjoy or actively seek out social experiences unless its related to an interest, e.g harveston event. But with silver i feel like he’s not as willing to be like he is. (Not saying idia is happy with his lifestyle - tbh i dont really know enough about the guy to say)

For example, in his dorm uniform vignette he seeks out help from kalim who is naturally extroverted and friendly to help him communicate his emotions in a way that isnt strange to his classmates. Which is so!!ugh!, like that vignette literally made me tear up.. all my frustrations come from not being able to connect with my classmates or have people know me, how i feel, i know that i cant express my emotions in a way thats normal, or i cant express them at all. Like people portray silver as this cool, pretty, princely guy who everyone happens to have a slight crush on but hes not!! To his classmates hes just the quiet kid whos awkward to talk to and doesnt talk much himself.. as a high masking autistic girl its so real :’) fyi i wouldnt say silver is autistic, he portrays symptoms of narcolepsy- i dont have narcolepsy so i cant say if thats the reason for his social struggles and if its connected but either way the experience is very similar. Silver expresses grief and feels guilty over his condition, it gets in the way of his relationship when all he wants is to be of service to his family, but he just? Can’t! Like the feeling of knowing you CANT do something, not that you dont WANT to you just physically cannot fucking sucks!! And its guilt. Its not your fault, really isnt, but damn it feels like it. Especially when no one understands your condition, so they assume its something you can control, they dont get its a disability for a reason!! My diagnosis was 4 months ago, ive gone through the vast majority of my life being undiagnosed so aswell as general disability rep i also think silver’s really good for the undiagnosed/medical mystery folks; silver himself says many times he doesnt understand his own condition or why he works like that, which makes it soo much harder to explain it to other people because you cant just drop a doctor’s note. Its difficult to get support and have people’s sympathy so they dont become annoyed ( also: if you yourself arent aware the guilt aspect skyrockets. Undiagnosed neurodivergence/disability lifestyle is pretty much screaming why whyw whyw why!!! Am i like this! At god) . Example: his labwear vignette shows professer crewel beating silvers ass with a detention for something he cant control- he fell asleep during class . Silver apologises, gen means it, but crewel doubts the sincerity of his apology because it ‘didnt look like he meant it’ :’) this vignette gen makes me so mad out of empathy?? Tbh crewel didnt pass the vibe check.. like youre teaching teenagers- arguably the worst time for mental health of your life- someone at some point is gonna have a rough night.. even if he doesnt know its a disability (silver’s sleeping spells arent confirmed as such but through the way it affects him id argue that it should be treated as one) you can atleast assume the kids not doing it willingly 😭😭 professor crewel is a perfect example of the type of people that will be a pain in the ass if youre undiagnosed.. like honestly i resonate with silver so much i get second hand frustration.

Like all silver wants is to spend as much time as he wants with lilia, to repay him in the short time silver has (lilia is fae so will live much longer than he) but half that time is taken up by something beyond his comprehension and control!! When lilia has done all in his power to try and help silver but still nothing has worked.. silver doesnt want lilia to spent his life worrying about him 💔💔 hits even harder after lilia revealed hes dying and may in fact die before silver. It makes so much sense that silver would be shattered to the point of crying infront of malleus when everything hes ever wanted to give lilia (love,support, to stop lilia from worrying) is deemed almost impossible by factors he cannot control.

Therefore i dont really want book 7 to end with silver’s sleeping spells being cured- if the root of it is (BOOK 7 SPOILERS!!) from the spell that was put on him as a baby that would send him into a deep sleep until someone who could truly love him awakes him, i assume that after he gets over his complex of judging love by how much you can do for someone (this gets in the way of his relationship with lilia. He thinks that he isnt truly deserving of lilia’s love because he hasnt yet ‘repayed’ him for all lilia’s done for silver.. boy doesnt get the trope of unconditional love 😔), he will finally be content with his relationship with lilia: which concludes with ‘true love’ (familial), his curse will be fully broken. He wont get sleeping spells anymore. Which i suppose is good for silver and the message of love is most powerful which diasomnia has. But i also think it would be most affective if silver just learned to accept his condition and know that it cant get in the way of his family because their love is so strong.( it shouldn’t get in the way anyway,under any circumstance, but silver himself needs to know this 😭😭) Rather than solving the problem straight at the cause, its so much better for silver to heal and accept himself. May be slightly self indulgent aswell lmao because as much as id love to defeat a dragon and have my reward be the cure for neurodivergency id much rather love and accept instead. Like i dont want twst to erase his representation for the plot :’)

i love to think about young lawbepo, especially the day they met and the days/weeks/months after, when law was 13 and bepo was 9, so cute and innocent! 🥺💕 i can see it being something like love at first sight for young bepo when young law came to his aid and fought to protect him. i’ve always gotten the vibe that bepo was picked on a lot as a child, that he was used to it, and because it was rare for anyone to stand up for him, let alone physically fight for him, he just wasn’t one to expect it. i’m not sure how long the fight lasted between law and penguin/shachi, but i bet young bepo was in absolute awe, thinking “he’s doing all this and he doesn’t even know me! he’s fighting two guys at once! that’s amazing! he’s so cool! 😳😍🤩” and bepo wears his heart on his sleeve, so he was likely very enthusiastic and emotional and affectionate in telling law just how thankful he is for law saving him and how incredibly awesome he thinks law is, the coolest person bepo has ever seen in his life 😆 young bepo immediately following and clinging to his hero, shyly holding on to law’s shirt, not wanting to be separated, just an instant pure-hearted love that grows strong and fast the more bepo gets to know law 🥺💕 i wonder how law responded to such a level of devotion from this cute little polar bear, and if it was overwhelming for him? i can see law being a bit stoic and awkward about it at first, not knowing how to respond to bepo’s affection, not expecting bepo to become so attached to him. but maybe internally it doesn’t take long for law to become quietly possessive of bepo’s admiration and affection, coveting it, liking the way bepo smiles at him and looks at him with stars in his eyes, wanting to protect and keep bepo close, even though he hasn’t known bepo that long and it is unusual for law to warm up to others

yes i absolutely think that bepo was picked on when he was small back on zou because how do you come to conclusion "if i dont fight back we can be friends" thats so wrong... maybe when he was very young he hurt a smaller species baby and adults got very mad so bepo just never responded to any bullying since. just by being born a polar bear he was the biggest and strongest child so he got told by adults repeatedly to be very careful so he grew up so timid

zepo wasnt much help because when he was around he was tough on bepo - didnt bully him ofc but he told him not to listen to anybody and always fight back (jock mentality lol) but bepo couldnt follow his advice so that really upset him

he was very happy when law saved him not just because of that but also because law was nice and heard him out and looked at him normally (ofc bepo saw the obvious HOLY SHIT A BEAR IS TALKING on laws face at first but it wasnt like the weird vibes other people he interacted with gave him)

law is so amazing he is his hero he is so kind....its even more cute because law is actively fighting his prickly habits that he gathered from being in DQ family...he is very upset at himself is he loses patience with bepo and the other two and treats them the best he can (he is rly such a hard working boy it makes me wanna cry) and its good because bepo is so forgiving and moves on easily if law acts prickly out of habit and bepo gets all sad law is like im sorry its not your fault and bepo perks up immediately because WOW LAW SAN IS BEING SO NICE

Mona : He thinks hes cute because he looks like a cute cat and sergio likes cute things and cats. Thinks he is charming. Tries to treat him like any other person despite how adorabubble he is. He starts thinking of him as his big brother naturally later on, he really trusts him and tells him things he doesnt tell anyone else, asks him for advice on his problems and thoughts and yeah really values his opinions.

Ann: He figured she was a Loud girl at first without even talking to her, he doesnt have a neutral opinion on women in general tbh so bad start, but as soon as they became friends and he heard her talk about what happened and how angry and frustrated she was he was like.. woaghhhh. no way.

Sergio has historically never been good at talking/making friends with girls or has had much of an interest in doing so, he mostly avoided them, so idk it seems stupid but he was like... woag. At first Sergio in his mind is like. WELL ANN is cool because SHES NOT LIKE THE OTHER GIRLS nope shes COOL AND REAL unlike the Other GIRLS (sergio turn around) BSDDVJBJFVJ. dont worry he figures it out later.

Anywho he thinks shes awesome and so nice to him and he admires how dedicated she is and how she tries to be upbeat but does worry about her and encourages her to break things if angry. Goes on her shopping trips even if he actually hates shopping because he loves Ann. Is encouraging about the things Ann wants to do but still tells her when theyre a bit silly (like in her social link where she sets impossible things to do hahah). Likes talking about more emotional things with her because he feels embarassed to talk about those things with the Boys (sergio turn around again)

Ryuji: Thought he was a bit strange, annoying at first. Just barging in and making him get involved in weird shit. But like with Ann he starts talking to him and they become buddies because they encourage their silly activities. He feels angry for ryuji and what happened to him; he thinks he should kill everyone in the track team actually/j .

Likes spending time with him, he appreciates that ryuji seems to understand him and likes to have fun with him running and excercising and playing videogames etcc. Bro bonding. They do mischievious activities together.

hes so fun to be around and sergio loves how hes such a kind person despite everything : ). They make stupid jokes together. Ryuji stops sergio from killing people sometimes. See, Sergio is like a Bro Character but hes the leader and also he has poor impulse control and is very angry.

Yusuke: He adores Yusuke he thinks hes so talented and everything he does is literally a masterpiece (hes right)

At first yusuke came off as a bit strange and aloof, but sergio was an instant fan as soon as he saw his work LOL. Yusuke appreciates the support. Sergio really admires and respects yusuke, even when he does “weird” things its like. Well its yusuke so. Yusuke = cool, then thing = cool as well right ??!!! normal

Makoto: Sergio thinks at first shes uptight, too serious, no fun, a snitch. I guess hes not wrong per se but ..

He was sooo mean to her at first when makoto hadnt joined the thieves and was spying them LOL. He did feel very sorry later and begrudgingly apologized along with ann and ryuj.

Nowadays he thinks mako is pretty cool, super smart and super strong. he still thinks she should let loose more, have more fun. He recognizes how hard she had it before joining. She appreciates how cunning she is. He had a playfight with her but sergio fights like a rabid animal and mako actually knows aikido . Im not sure if it continued but their fighting styles and what they look for in a fight are so different it didnt work out too well : ( sad. its ok.

Fuba: Fuba is like Sergios little sis : ). He wasnt sure if they should do something at first when the situation came up but he realized fuba was acting kinda like him before, isolating and being angry and sad etc... felt fucked up to not do something or try to help but he didnt want to be super pushy about it because he knew how he felt and how he didnt appreciate anyone who tried to drag him around even if they had good intentions. But yeah his friends made him realize how they ahd kinda pulled him out of a hole too at the beginning and he figured everyone could use a chance like that..

He really cares for her and tries to spend a lot of time with her, play anything she wants and watch her funny animes etc. He absolutely plays along with every game; he has a lot of fun too hes so silly as well. They bully eachother lovingly hehe. Hes willing to accompany her everywhere but i guess he realizes he wont be there for her forever so tries to gently push her a bit to be more independent.

Sees something about himself in her, although different. He tries to be someone that Younger Sergio would have appreciated in his life.

Haru: Sergio respects her a lot and thinks shes super kind perhaps too much.

He tries acting more serious or polite etc at first with her but haru ofc notices and is like. sergio its ok you can be yourself : ).

He still doesnt really act with her like he does with the others because idk theres this enormous barrier of respect that it seems unprope to act like that with her.. She IS sergios friend he just finds it super hard to be casual with her completely.

They like gardening together and showing eachother their plant children so thats something where they can be ever so slightly more relaxed in. I wonder if haru feels sad that sergio doesnt dare act casual or be himself in front of her like the others : ( He super appreciates whenever haru gifts him something unprompted etc.

Sumi: Sergio doesnt know sumi that well. He just thinks shes a cool , super kind girl whos very talented , polite. He always treated her really nicely. I think he enjoys the tyoe of respect he gets from Sumi even if its embarassing sometimes hahah since he feels she gets a different perspective of him ahah. He starts acting more casual in 3rd sem etc but theres also a barrier of respect here like with haru. Its more like.. welll sumi .. she thinks im cool and responsible i.. must fulfill that...

Goro: Well .. we already know LOL right sunset-bridgers?

He is someone so fucking cool in sergios eyes. He considers him his worthy rival and admires him a lot ; hes just so damn cool, talented, smart , strong.. it kinda feels like he always knows whats he doing and even if he makes a mistake sergio finds it charming.

He used to feel envious and jealous of him for having thigs he didnt and apparently being much more succesful in general. But ofc things happen.. he realizes things werent as simple as they seemed and how goro felt quite similar to him.

He really appreciates how they seem to see things similarly. have a similar world view so they can understand eachother easily and talk soo sososo much. Like.. wow hell yeah this guy gets what im saying yeah finally. guy who can keep up with me in snarky convos. Guy who likes to play the same silly challenges as me. Guy who fights with me and is strong as hell so we are matched. In goro he finds someone who likes him to his core; sees right thru his disguise and is interested in spending time with real Sergio. He takes him seriously. No one takes sergio so seriously or seems to give such weight to his words....

He feels very free with him.

I was writing last night so I didnt liveblog my thoughts on it but! I am officially all caught up with Discovery, until s5 premieres later this week. gonna discuss my thoughts below, so spoiler warning!

overall, I really like Discovery! I love the characters, I love the dynamics between all of them, and I think the plots each season have been fun. sure, some of them are a bit convoluted, but hey its Star Trek so I expect that

I think jumping 930 years into the future helped with some of the issues I was having with the first 2 seasons, in that it was really hard to see this series as a prequel. ive talked a lot about how while the writing and everything made it clear this was a prequel, it just didnt look like a prequel. now, it doesnt have to, and the writing isnt held back by having to be a prequel, so we get to see and do some really cool shit. the new species introduced were awesome, ive loved seeing the federation come together, ive loved seeing different species we already knew and loved but so far in the future. I think the choice to go so far into the future was, overall, a good one

I think my biggest gripe overall with Discovery is that so many characters just. dont stay dead. I think this was fine with Hugh, I thought how they did it with him made as much sense (as much sense as anything in Star Trek makes) and it was pulled off really well, and I was satisfied from a writing standpoint and from an emotional standpoint. with Gray it was... fine. it was well-explained, but a bit of a cop-out. still, fine. Book's made me roll my eyes. im sorry, his was stupid. here's why I think so

I like Book. im not super attached to him, but I like him. I liked the conflict with him in s4. and I thought his death was actually done really well. it was sudden, and jarring, but you also realized pretty quickly that yeah. it was always going to end this way. Michael did everything she could, but she was never going to be able to save him. for a brief moment we think maybe he's saved, and then he's gone. it was harsh, but it was good (lemme give a shoutout to Sonequa Martin-Green's acting again cause her crying is VISCERAL) and then its immediately undone because Book is miraculously saved by 10-C. so, now, on top of having a cop-out resurrection, we also have an established pattern of Discovery being unwilling to kill characters and keep them dead

this isnt true with every case, of course. Discovery has absolutely no problem with killing villains and minor characters, and even killing characters we're familiar with but who dont play major roles. but now that we've done this resurrection thing multiple times, its going to affect how I view s5 and any situation they present where a major character might die. the emotional stakes just won't be there, because im gonna sit there and think about how we've been here before, and its never stuck. ill have a hard time taking any of those situations seriously, because ill be wondering how theyre gonna bring them back this time

that said, im still excited for s5 and cant wait to see what it has in store. of the newer Treks ive seen so far, Discovery is definitely one of the better ones. its absolutely better than Picard. I have a hard time comparing it to Lower Decks, since theyre such vastly different shows, but ive enjoyed it just as much as I enjoyed Lower Decks. from what we saw of the SNW cast in Discovery, im now cautiously optimistic that ill at least enjoy the characters in SNW, even if I have to deal with. another prequel

I probably won't liveblog Discovery s5 when I watch it, just to avoid spoilers. so, see yall when I start SNW tonight!

So he makes sure you eat, drink lots of water, always keeps tabs on you.

And to enforce you eating and drinking, he forces himselves to take scheduled breaks

Those forced breaks allow both of you to relax and even allow Ratchet to work better.

But sometimes you still gotta just like lay down.

Even if its on his work space.

And he leaves it at that. Sure he still watches over you but he's not gonna baby you

Hello! Can I ask for Hunter x Hunter or Spy x Family matchup? Maybe both if it's not a problem....

Actually I am pretty calm and reserved person, I, tend to don't speak when it's not necessary but I'm way more talkative and open with people i know. I rarely show emotions and I find it really annoying when somebody is overreacting or hyperbolizing. For some positive traits I'm patient and I try to understand people, I like to put myself in the shoes of others and see things from their perspective. I dont like to judge people based on trival things when I don't know them too well. Some people around me may describe me as "cold" because I don't show too much emotions and I don't like to be informative about myself and my life. However, I don't think it's entirely true, if someone inspires my trust, I will be happy to share some thoughts and spend time with them.

When it comes to my interests, I like reading and I try to learn languages like Russian, Japanese and Korean. I especially enjoy reading about art and visiting art galleries. I try to be as open as possible and enjoy every field of art, from medieval paintings to manga.

My love language is definitely time quality, although I'm not the type of person to give 100% of my time to someone. Meetings with me may not be the most common thing, but I like to make them special. I like to talk about various, even abstract ideas. Ohhhh real.... To be honest SMG4 himself i never really dug into his character that much, Puzzles is the 2nd character I've ever over analyzed in this silly show and it's really neat seeing your perspective on the subject! Because looking back I defo see it now. Puzzles being the bad ending to (Gotta Be Perfect) bc

Oh yes Puzzles is such a little freakazoid and i LOVE him for thaaaaaat!!! Hes so protective and he does obviously care for her on DEEP levels he's so silly! But due to his lack of social skills he doesnt know how to portray that/is HORRIFIED of opening up because everytime he did try to open up he was shut down in one way or another and his only friend was the TV.

Sorry matt maybe im just cruel but my fav vversion of romantic gustholomule is when matt catches feelings first but cannot express them and doesn t want to but gus is very friendly and already claimed matt as his friend so they hang out a lot (in the same classes sińce matt joined illusion track for no other reason than his sudden interest in illusion magic obviously!! The same club + gus is one of his few in not the only friend). Matt is too pround and awkward to communicate his feeling (platonic ones too) but constantly expresses them thru actions (can also be takes as platonic gus&matt)=> going out to find more human junk to talk with gus about/figure out what was it used for.

He d definetly visit the Owl lady for the human stuff/stories (and his and edas dynamics would be soo fun)

He d observe and study gus illusion techniques and once gus catches on he d offer to tutor matt/get curious about the construction magic as well.

The potential of gus creating illusion of statues/etc and matt actually being able to recreate them with his magic.

Maybe they d create human exhibition but in order to make it more interesting for other students they d make together replicas which students could touch while having the actual "artefact" disolayed

And gus meeting steve! And they d vibe so much, teaming up and teasing matt while he gets jealous of how quickly they became friends(? lack of a better word)

They d pull pranks together tho not that many since gus doesn t like "that mean" pranks and matt finds some of gus s elaborate plans ridiculous

This was supposed to be more about their romantic side of relationship but i got lost and them being besties is also soo good</3

I LOVE them being besties cuz they're just so funny. They have this vibe about them that makes them seem so different at first glance but if you sit down and listen to them have a conversation, you realize they're both scheming little gremlins who love chaos and it makes perfect sense why they're friends.

If Matt with the feelings first is what we're calling cruel than I hate him and want him to never have a good day for as long as he lives. But mostly I just think the idea is funny because the Holy Trifecta of spiteful assholes who keep falling for the original trio of "losers" needs to be completed. It feels unfinished.

Although I'm very much in the opinion that it's not for a long while. So anywhere from a year from now to three. So Gus and Matt have this perfect platonic foundation with no feelings attached whatsoever and it's GREAT. And then feelings hit Matt out of fucking NOWHERE, completely unprovoked like an eternity later and he's like "are you fucking SERIOUS?? This is bullshit!! It's bullshit!!" Because in his own opinion, its gonna ruin everything.

Because YEAH. Long before the feelings started, Matt wasn't even able to articulate to Gus that he cared about him as a friend. I like to believe it stems from his former "friendship" with the glandus kids, where Matt fell into the habit of grovelling and asskissing because he was desperate for any scrap of approval. He was pathetic and he knows he was pathetic and now he tries really hard to never repeat that kind of behavior with anyone else. As such, he's adopted a level of emotional detachment so he's never taken advantage of again. He doesn't want Gus knowing he's dependent on him in the way that was made obvious to the glandus kids as he doesn’t want Gus seeing him as pathetic. So he keeps him at arm's length.

So how the FUCK is he supposed to navigate anything resembling romance with him? He doesnt know and he doesnt want to know. He fucking won't do shit about it I guess.

But yeah he DID join the Illusion classes partly because he was inspired by Gus, most specifically the awesome horrifying shit Gus did to Bria. But also Mattholomule spent a lot of time in the Looking Glass Ruins with Gus and that ghost guy, building defenses and repairing the damage as best he could and he really did learn a lot. Not only is Gus a powerful witch but he's also a prodigy who skipped a few grades so of course he's gonna know a ton about illusionist history and the like.

So Gus and ghost guy are there in rapt discussion about Django the Mirror King and whatnot while Matt builds walls and pretends to be uninterested. Eventually he caves and asks to be told more. Because not only is Gus a brilliant illusionist himself but he's the kind of bright passionate person that could probably pitch anything to anyone and make it sound awesome. Huge reason why Matt got sucked into multitrack in the end. Gus's enthusiasm is contagious.

Also yeah. Matt DOES stuff. Can't tell Gus he's cool or his magic is really powerful or anything all that nice but he'll do things that will make Gus's day brighter, which holds this friendship afloat. Attends all of Gus's flyer derby games, eventually resigns as H.A.S president so Gus can have his title back because "It's waaaaay too much work and I'm sick of it. But I bet a nerd like you will get a kick out of it." And yeah, finding little human knicknacks for Gus too geek out over, like a cat dropping dead mice on a doorstep.

He's just constantly showing his appreciation for Gus in little gestures and Gus IS aware of it. He doesn't mock him for it much but he often smirks and says "thank you Matty <3" a little too obnoxiously. Matt responds by shooting an earth mound out of the ground beneath Gus's feet and making him eat the pavement. <3

I've always been on the fence over whether Matt was actually into human stuff or if this was just an interest he faked to get into the H.A.S because he noticed the president's widdle baby face and figured he'd be an easy target to usurp. But if its the latter, I like to believe he at least got somewhat invested after he became friends with Gus. Again, Gus's contagious enthusiasm. I kinda like the idea that Matt isn't huge into human stuff himself but he now knows just about everything Gus knows because he lets Gus ramble at him. He claims to be annoyed by it, which only encourages Gus to run his mouth more. They have a neat system going here.

Tutoring hell ya!!! Gus teaching Matt like one illusion spell "for fun" while they're dicking around and Matt does a surprisingly good job. Gus is astonished.

"Wow. You nailed that one. You sure you've never studied illusions?"

"It's kinda hard not to pick up on it while I constantly gotta look at you flaunting your little smoke and mirror shows all the time."

"So what you're saying is....you've been observing my spells and copying me? :)"

I think the idea of Gus being so enthusiastic about construction spells and wanting Matt to teach him some is so cute. But also it'd be so funny if Gus was like. Completely fucking garbage at it. He tries and he tries, but instead of feeling shitty about it (his whole conflict from TTLGR) he feels comfortable enough to laugh about it. He's just having fun. Matt laughs too and teases him over it but doesn't mock him with anything close to the nastiness he had before, which is when Gus realizes that the two of them might very well be friends now.

Could definitely see Gus branching out more and trying to get more people aboard the human appreciation wagon. Like at this point he's actually been in the Human Realm and learned a ton so he's now more than an expert than he's ever been. So he's out here giving full out TED talks to the students, writing papers, building exhibits. Matt complains to anyone who will listen "He's gone crazy over this stuff. He's always been crazy about it but now its next level. Completely obsessed. I can't stand it."

it actually really upset her when Dick didn't accept her at first. she knows her other siblings really adore dick so his lack of trust was really disheartening. it takes dick a while but once he Actually Accepts that cass is going to be a permanent part of their life and oh, wow, dick you really hurt her feelings he really hyperfocuses on bonding with cass for a couple of months which definitely improves their relationship

Lucifer:

Initially his first impression of you was that something must have happened to you to be this emotionless. He thought you wouldn't be any trouble since you seem to be so reclusive and kept to yourself, but when he sees you doing kind things around his brothers and even when you think no one is looking, he finds that it may just be who you are. Though your features may show no emotions, you make up for it through your actions and he finds that endearing. Its sometimes hard for him to show his love for his brothers through his own actions and even his words, but seeing you makes him want to try just so he can let you know that he cares about you.

Mammon:

At first he was a bit uncomfortable, especially since you don't speak much and whenever you look at him, he thinks you're glaring at him. But he comes around once he gets to know you (and kinda stalks you a little bit). He gets used to you being expressionless and emotionless, though he does try to see if he can get you to show any emotion. But basically you guys have a very wholesome relationship where Mammon is your extroverted scaredy cat who comes to his emotionless partner who doesnt need words to comfort him.

Leviathan:

He thinks you're pretty cool because you remind him of one of his anime waifus who act just like you. He's intrigued and intimidated at the same time. In a way, getting him to actually talk to you is a bit hard because he keeps stuttering and stammering around you. And then he runs away because he's embarrassed and you're just too cool. However, he heads straight to the floor when you knock on his door and hand him a Ruri-chan plushy because you heard he likes her the most. He can't keep a cool head around you, especially when you're constantly seeking him out on your own to gift him presents or give him head pats.

Satan:

He didn't know what to make of you at first. He really didn't even care for your existence since you basically fade into the background with how quiet you are. But then he went by your room one day and heard the sound of kittens. Asmodeus:

When you first ignored him, he pushed all efforts to get you to show emotion. Honestly, he has been very interested in you since he doesn't really believe your expression is always so 'cold'. He tries everything within his power to try to get you to show some form of emotion, even going so far as to scare you. He keeps up his shenanigans until one day you notice he's not around. When you ask his brothers about what happened to him, you learned that he had fallen into a slump and you decided to pay him a visit. A visit that he really appreciated because you helped him out of it and Asmo saw a side of you that he always wanted to see. He knew you weren't so cold inside and now you have a clingy, energetic Asmodeus always by your side, but he knows you don't mind.

Beelzebub & Belphegor:

Beel is a friendly, sweet soul. He'd try to befriend you and look past your expressionless features to avoid making assumptions about you. And he was right to do so because you're a really cool person. Plus your cooking and head pats are awesome. Belphie would be skeptical, but trusts Beel. And honestly, you won him over the moment you gifted him a new pillow that looked like his old one when it got destroyed in a Lotan summoning. So the twins know you are more than what you seem to be. And have been indoctrinated into their group.

WELLL since you asked...!!!

Starting off with rekai!! Most people would assume he has a higher pitched voice because of the common trope of making him "soft" and really shy (which he IS he is shy but not. suppperrr soft. he can go both ways yk?) but no!! if you listen to his voice in songs but MAINLY connect lives, his voice is significantly deeper than many other kaitos!! He doesnt say much, and he is quiet. I think it fits him i rlly rlly like it. i think in mozaik role: reloaded and the past few connect lives (also if you look back to peaky peaky) you can really tell how it differs and is lower than the others.

MOKAI!! Mokai doesnt have too much of a difference but his is between deep and mid-ranged. He is smooth and MUCH more talkative than rekai. that part is just plain canon. i love him... we dont hear much of him but I think supernova did him justice with his lower register. SOMETHING TO NOTE is that i think they started doing different voices for sekailoids other than miku only within the past 2 years. but yeah not much too say on mokai rn.

AND NOW MY FAVORITE!!!! VIKAI!!!! vbs kaito :3333 he is oddly VERY high-pitched like oh my god. just listen to his vbs songs??? doctor funk beat cover made him SO MUCH HIGHER. fuel is my faovrite vikai song (and one of my favorite comms in general) but that high-pictchedness in his voice is SO awesome to me ugh. HOWEVER i love hearing his voice in in-game stories and lives (liveshows + connect lives) because they REALLY brought the highness out. Hes very yappy very very talky i love him. and the higher register of his voice very much fits with how much he loves to yap!!

Wakai/wonderland kaito!! Similar situation to mokai BUT he is a BIIIT higher than mokai. I think all the sekailoids in the wxs sekai have a higher tone because it just fits better!!!! i love wakai but i unfortunely do not have much to say on him. Now just because i said "higher" doesnt mean hes super high!! he is still a lower voice he just has higher conotations.

and finally. niikai. oh that bastard. now surprinslgy, he doesnt have the LOWEST voice!!! that prize goes to rekai!! A lot of people mistake his monotone voice for a low one- but no. He is monotone. most niigoloids show a lot more emotion whilst singing; kaito is no exception. also by watching the way he dances one can REALLY tell how much emotion he puts into that...its awesome. He has a mid-monotone voice, is what im tryna say.

i feel like when youre obsessed with a character for like over 6 months or a year you start to feel "emotions 3" about them like its beyond anything ever. like miyuki in particular makes me so crazy because of the way his personality is slowly unveiled. especially in the beginning, the story is very sawamura-centric, which also shows like how self absorbed sawamura was in his first year etc etc thats not important here tho. the point is that the story isn't focused on miyuki, we see him just from the outside at first as this guy who enjoys pissing people off, who has a lot of respect for those older than him, who loves baseball, who only bats in clutch situations... And like his character development as he grows into his role as captain shows just how much he was lacking before AND just how far he went in his respect for the coaches and the third years to sometimes his own detriment. like when ochiai was teaching sawamura the changeup he was thinking about quitting before it potentially broke sawamuras form and ochiai told him to continue and he just Agreed. even though ochiai KNEW it had a higher chance of breaking sawamuras form. tetsu's advice to miyuki as captain and miyuki's reverence for kataoka's strictness led to the nabe situation... he had such a hard set in stone definition of what a captain should be because of those influences. the nabe situation AND the post-yakushi match "i cant be a captain" thing exposes like how he really is just trying his best to fit these roles and how hes beginning to understand what hes lacking and work on it like in act 2 talking about maezono's compassion "that's what im missing." like AUGHHGHGHHHH like its not LIKE he doesnt have that at all he just struggles to express it like in season one episode 71 in that conversation with kuramochi where he says two different things like how conflicted he feels by how he thinks he SHOULD feel as a captain and how he DOES feel as both a catcher and sawamuras teammate... LIKE these parts of his personality are so important to me and then you just add how fucking AWESOME THAT GUY IS on top of that and then finally garnish it with terajima's comments about him on twitter like "miyuki talks a lot when he's happy" like its so CUTE!!! like all these miyuki moments just sit in my brain and have boiled for so long its like a syrup. like he's annoying he's awesome he's cute he's stupid he's admirable i hate him he sucks he's the only character that matters he's lame. without a doubt the most embarassed to be caught crying

he had just gotten into an argument with diavolo, and he questions his importance in diavolos life

he goes into the study to get some extra work done late at night to reassure himself he is useful

with all of the stress from the situation at hand and some stress from supporting the family on his back, he cant help but shed a few tears

all he wants to do is keep those around him happy and healthy... and it tears him apart when he cant

if i cant make the ones i love happy then... what can i do...

he doesnt notice your presence, as he has hands over his eyes and is breathing slowly in order to relax himself

you call out his name softly to get his attention

lucy jumps and tries wiping his eyes and playing it off as if he was never crying

you walk closer to him and he keeps inquiring if theres anything you need

you dont say anything, you just place your arms around him and hold him in a tight embrace

and he starts crying again on your shoulder... harder, this time. holding you tighter and closer in the embrace

because of his pride, its hard for him to admit what he needs the most: someone to show they care for him

mammon

mammon is the type to not cry often but when he does, its a lot

while his brothers dont really have bad intentions, the daily degradation they execute against mammon really gets to him

he can only put up his confident front for so long, and not long after a fight with asmo, it recedes

he lay on his bed sobbing heavily into a pillow to muffle the sound for nearly a full hour

his mind cant help but insist all the words his siblings tell him are true... and he wishes more than anything that you were there to tell him they werent

he looks up to the door every once in a while with blurry vision, mind convincing him theyre at the door, but you not being there makes him cry even harder

maybe they just think the same as the rest of my brothers

for the love of god, don’t act like simon wasn’t Equally Insane About Betty, or was pretty much completely at fault for everything wrong with their relationship. lets zoom out from this 1 specific part of it and look at the whole picture! framing that more clearly expresses No One Is To Blame instead of making it murky by kind of acting like someone is. simon put her on a pedestal too. yes betty sacrificed everything because she thought simon was so amazing and wonderful that she would do whatever he wanted to do and whatever helped him. and simon didn’t notice that, for a reason. because simon thought betty was so amazing and wonderful and bold and proactive that she would do whatever she wanted to do. she would always make the first move and he always took this as just: she’s doing the things she wants to do. both of them unaware that there could be more to it than that, that just because she does want to do this and she is happy doesn’t mean it’s the right choice.

so we get Simon Petrikov And A Series Of Emotional Revelations many of which are completely unconnected from each other and just make his feelings more complicated, but we also get 1. him actually seeing and noticing the effect he has on other people, not JUST how he unintentionally contributed to the toxic dynamic w betty but how he has Made People’s Lives Better And Has People Who Care About Him. again!! something or other with marceline!!!! And 2. the thing they seemingly kind of considered in writing but didn’t really talk about in the show. that simon feels guilty about bettys sacrifice to become golb for him. that he feels like this is something he didn’t deserve! something he can’t pay back!

To some extent i think maybe this would be awesome for her. she’s always been fascinated with all this weird freaky magical stuff. now she IS weird freaky magical stuff and now she can see so much. she can understand things her human mind would have been literally incapable of grasping! she has a brand new perspective on everything! EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT!!!!!! and it’s FASCINATING!!!!!! SHE SEES THE WORLD ANEW AND IT IS FULL OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CONCEPTS THAT WOULD TWIST THE MORTAL MIND

but there r downsides too. Betty Was Always Proactive!!!! we see how much betty likes GOING and DOING. she makes choices and she takes actions and now. now she has this fascinating new mind and nothing to do with it except OBSERVE! she can’t go anywhere because her own existence is dangerous.

i think that betty “i’m not sure if there’s even any ‘me’ left” grof needs a second chance at life and she needs an opportunity to rebuild her own sense of self and figure out again who she is independent of simon - something she probably cannot do being alone in a void forever with no one to talk to. i think that betty going somewhere simon can’t follow and continuing her life as a god is a perfectly fine way to do this, if they had a bit more actual, proper closure.

however, consider my extremely biased and extremely emotional opinion: what if they did get to exist in the same space and ever see each other again huh!!!!!!!!!!!

my judgement is clouded by emotion so its hard for me to work out if this really would be a better way to end it or if i just Like It, but i do like it so let’s talk about it. i absolutely do not think betty should ever just be human again. her status is irreversible - but does it have to be unchangeable? idk i basically just like seeing halfway-point monstergirl bettys and i think surely there has to be some theoretical way where through the power of Weird Adventure Time Magic Stuff there is a climactic story about like. betty bridging the gap between the part of herself that is now an unknowable extremely powerful chaos goddess and the part of herself that is a 20th century human woman who had, for a while, an ordinary life. and she can both be a character we can see and understand and who can live her life in a new way. explore the world. find herself again. and also like. be a god who does whatever a superpowerful god of chaos even does. idk betty goes and hangs out at the deities club where everyone is shaking in a corner because she is golb and shes just like so do you guys play cards

BUT ANYHOW, THE CONSEQUENCES. shit should be going down. marceline wanted to talk to him but couldn’t find him, for days, so PB’s got a giant search mission going on for her sake and finn is. finn is doing something idk i just wanted to mention him and simon realizes How This Looks For Everyone Else and he sees marceline again and marceline is all torn between a bunch of different thoughts and feelings and between shaking him and yelling at him and gesturing at everything in his house and going what the FUCK simon what the fuck were you doing, and just being so happy he’s okay, and crying and hugging him and throwing him. however that goes rhey ACTUALLY FUCKING TALK. simon is not at all, like, All Good Now he’s just somewhere along the line been inspired to actually put in extra effort to communicate with her bc she isn’t just…. completely fine without him and now that she doesnt need him to survive it doesnt matter if hes there or not. like he thought. and she gets it across to him that she WANTS to hear about his problems she HAS to its not gonna be more than she can handle and he DOES and she GETS IT because SHE HAS HAD A FUCKED UP LIFE AND TRAUMA AND DEPRESSION TOO.

Athena and Ares

(Just my thoughts on them and their relationship)

I have a lot of feelings about these two. They have a very complex dynamic, where they don’t really like each other, but they can’t work without each other either.

Athena provides rationality to the cruelty of war. She is the strategy and logic behind it. The objective. One might say she represents the generals, and the politicians and the main heroes. Basically the big players.

And Ares? He’s the opposite. He represents the emotion associated with war. He is the bloodlust and the desperate fight. Where the battle is thickest, where there is no room for thought, and when its pure survival instinct that drives you, that’s Ares. He represents the worst parts: the blood and the violence and the cruelty. He is accompanied by fear and terror (Phobos and Deimos). One might say he is the god of soldiers.

So they need each other. If they actually worked together, they’d be one of the dangerous forces ever, even in god circles. But they don’t. Not only because of how differently they view the world, but also because of deeper nuances in their relationship.

Athena is beloved. She is Zeus’ favourite child and his right hand goddess. The people love her. She is the patron of one of the most powerful, influential cities, Athens. She is highly respected everywhere else too. A protector of heroes and a friend to humanity.

Ares, on the other hand, is disliked by many. Zeus says he is “the most hateful of all gods” and says he would have thrown him into Tartarus if he wasn’t his and Hera’s son. (Its in the Iliad) (This part always makes me sad poor ares) He is highly respected in Thrace and Sparta. But Athens dislikes him and worships him out of necessity only.

Even in modern times, Athena is considered a feminist icon and badass lady, while Ares is labelled a brute.

Most people know this. So why did I just type out all that? Cause context is important when delving into the myths.

So first of all, let’s debunk that last point I made. In the ancient myths (and I’ll try not to include romans esp. Ovid), it didn’t work that way at all. Of course it’s important to keep in mind that ancient Greece was very misogynistic. But still, Athena was not feminist at all. Her being a “masculine” woman (mostly) was what made her so acceptable to Athens and she was regularly used to shut down other women. Also:

Ares, on the other hand, was incredibly feminist, especially for that time. He surrounded himself with women he loved and respected. (Aphrodite, Eris, Enyo, etc). His lovers were often famously women who challenged the status quo (Otrera, Cyrene). He was regularly show to be a good father to all his daughters, immortal and mortal. (Harmonia, Hippolyta, Penthesilia, Alkippe). Also:

Anyway, I won’t delve deep into that (well, any more than I’ve already rambled about it).

Now that we have gotten that out of the way, we can get to the hypotheticals.

I headcanon that despite ALL the evidence to the contrary, they maybe don’t despise each other completely. I see them having more of a love-hate relationship.

The thing is, gods are very contrary creatures. Zeus and Hera’s fights shake the world one moment, and in the next, they are as loving as any. Apollo is smiling and singing in one moment and skinning a satyr alive in the next. This complexity should be given this relationship too.

Like I said above, they need each other. Both general and soldier are equally important in war. And I don’t think you can completely truly need someone and hate their existence at the same time. (There are exceptions)

This scene in the Iliad really got me thinking:

If you take the scene at face value, this is probably not something to think too much about. Its Athena going to Ares, insulting him a bit, and taking him away from the war.

But its more than that. First off, Athena goes upto Ares and can calmly convince him to listen to her. Second, look how she frames the question. She says “shall we” which i think is pretty important. Athena doesn’t need to worry about Zeus’ anger or his rules, as she shows later on in the Iliad, and before, during the Rebellion. Both Athena and Ares knows this well. So why does she also need to withdraw? She can make the point without adding herself to the equation. She can also fairly easily run him off the battlefield like she does later. But she doesn’t. And there isnt any hostility from Ares.

Instead, they go together, away from the battlefield and...sit down near a river bank? Basically relax as much as they can? That doesn’t sound like a hateful relationship.

There is also the fact that Ares was going to join sides with the greeks (aka on Athena and Hera’s side) until Aphrodite convinced him to join her instead.

Its clear from this that Ares doesn’t really have much of a stake in this fight. He doesn’t care much about the greater objectives of the war. The only thing that can convince him to take a side is the people one the sides. He fights for the people he cares about, not for any greater good. He easily changes his loyalty because of his love for Aphrodite. He frequently gets into fights to save his children. He goes against Diomedes partly because of how he wounded Aphrodite. All of this means that he cares for Athena too. (And for Hera ofc). Maybe he doesn’t care for her as much as he cares for Aphrodite, but its not really fair to expect him to.

I like to think they genuinely do care for each other a great deal, they just kinda suck at showing it. Maybe that changes as time passes. I can see Athena being quietly protective of Ares (maybe she makes up an excuse to send him away during the Rebellion because she knows he will be in danger otherwise). I definitely think she felt a little guilt (guilt, not regret) at stabbing Ares, seeing as it wasn’t really fair. Ares didn’t know she was there.

I also think that Ares, who spends a lot of time with awesome women and is very fierce in standing up for them if the need arises, will be the one who calls her out a lot of the time on her misogyny or hypocrisy. Athena also has a habit of suppressing any “vulnerable” emotion. She likes to keep all her guilt, sadness, fear, hurt, and regret all locked up tight. I feel like Ares is one of the few people she lets a few of those emotions out around, even if she still tries not to. And in the lighter moments, in private, maybe they joke around a bit and laugh, too.

Okay, now for the heavier bit. While i do think they care for each other, there is also a lot of resentment there. A lot of it, unfortunately, comes from how they are treated by their peers and elders. They like different people, they are liked by different people and they are liked to different degrees. Let’s talk about 3 of the main players.

1) Zeus. Does this surprise you?

I do think Zeus loves all his kids. He doesn’t like some of them, but he does love all of them. And he isn’t as bad of a father as everyone thinks. People have discussed that better so I’ll not rant about it here.

All that aside, he definitely has favourites. Athena is his favourite child (Apollo, I think, being his second). And this favouritism is SUPER OBVIOUS. Its like none of the rules apply to Athena, which is weird considering Zeus isn’t forgiving of those who defy his authority (did someone say Prometheus?)

Ares, on the other hand, is on the other side of the spectrum. The one Zeus dislikes the most.

We can see how this affects them in several instances. The most notable is probably in the Iliad, after Athena deceitfully stabs Ares and forces him to flee to Olympus, injured.

Ares calls Zeus out on his favouritism. He says that gods weren’t allowed to fight each other and if it were anyone else, they would have been punished. He says Zeus always does this, always lets Athena get away with everything, and that he needs to start getting his daughter under control.

Zeus doesnt like this too much and basically tells Ares to stop whining and that he isn’t much better when it comes to destruction. He says Ares is the most hateful of all gods and loves bloodshed. He says he would have gotten rid of him if he weren’t his son, but seeing as he was, Zeus cannot bear to see Ares in pain. He then gets Ares healed.

I can definitely see how this kind of blatant favouritism from someone who should be better to Ares would affect him. Ares is the firstborn son of Zeus and Hera. He should be getting a lot of respect, as per ancient standards but instead, he is overtaken by his virgin half sister from Zeus’ previous marriage, and many bastard half siblings.

Athena being able to break rules left and right, and Ares having to be nervous about even toeing the line will cause distance between them.

This in addition to his position as a god of civil order is a reason that i think he wouldn’t want to break any rule until he deems it absolutely necessary, like if someone he cared about were in danger.

I can totally see a situation where both of them try to help a hero but Zeus orders them not to. Athena then wants to break the rules, but Ares is very hesitant about doing so. Athena convinces him, either by taunting or by calmly urging him, to go along with it. They get caught but only Ares gets punished. Ares can then truly show Athena the difference between her and everyone else.

Remember when i headcanoned earlier that Athena sends Ares away during the Rebellion? That ties into this. She knows that if they get caught, ares could get into trouble whether or not he did anything. I expect Ares will be furious about it when he returns and finds out what happened though, thinking it was just to get him out of the way, until its revealed why she did it. Then he’ll probably be super awkward.

2) Poseidon

The equal and opposite force to Zeus.

Well, maybe not equal, but quite close.

Lets start with the canon. Poseidon HATES Athena, despises her completely, and he frequently clashes with her father too. They worked together one (1) time and as a result, Athena wasnt punished while Poseidon was enslaved for years. Then there is the fight for Athens, the whole epic of the Odyssey, and so on.

Meanwhile he and Ares are actually shown to be close. Other than the Halirhothius incident, they are pretty chill. Poseidon is the one who vouched for him after the Net Thing With Hephaestus. Poseidon is also pretty cool with Aphrodite and they work together occasionally.

I think Poseidon thinks of Athena as this bratty kid of his brother, who is constantly working against him. You know that one annoying cousin you have who you try to avoid during family reunions because you KNOW you will clash? This is that, but a thousand times worse.

Meanwhile Poseidon really cares for Ares, and Ares takes fatherly affection from anywhere he can get it. Poseidon maintains a good relationship with both Aphrodite and Ares. He is closer with Aphrodite and doesnt love Ares quite as much as Zeus loves Athena, but he still cares a lot.

3) Aphrodite

It is no secret that Athena hates Aphrodite. Even when Athena warns Diomedes not to harm any god, she says Aphrodite is the exception. Athena, along with many of the other Olympians, see her as nothing but a silly, flighty, hysterical goddess.

On the other hand, Aphrodite and Ares are known for their intense love for each other, from even before her arranged marriage. They have a lot of kids together, and are shown to be close with all of them. They each have like one story of jealousy/one story where they are at odds with each other, which is pretty good for such a high-profile couple (Aphrodite curses Eos and Ares kills Adonis). They are there for each other, like in the trojan war, when Aphrodite was wounded and Ares gave her his chariot to go back to Olympus. He also changed sides very soon, just because Aphrodite asked. Athena complains about this too.

I think I wouldn’t be far off in saying that Athena is definitely resentful of how close they are, and how much sway Aphrodite has over her brother.

While Athena definitely doesn’t see eye to eye with Ares, and disagrees with his domain, she still sees him as a War God. One of her kind. And she just doesn’t see how a War God can go for someone like Aphrodite. Basically, she doesn’t think Aphrodite is, for lack of a better term, good enough for Ares, seeing as she is a Love Goddess.

Ares, on the other hand, does not want to hear anything like this. He is fiercely defensive of Aphrodite. He defends her warlike aspect (Aphrodite Areia), while everyone else tells her that she has no place in the battlefield. He sees Aphrodite as more than what people have labelled her to be. Which is why I believe (other than Eos and Adonis), they have one of the healthiest open relationships in greek mythology.

This can definitely cause animosity between Athena and Ares, because of Athena’s scorn and Ares’ temper. It can also increase the conflict between Athena and Aphrodite.

Maybe as time goes on, Athena can start seeing Aphrodite as having more depth. I certainly hope so. While they wouldn’t be best friends, I don’t see why they can’t learn to get along. This could also strengthen Athena and Ares’ bond. As long as people don’t insult her or lay their claim on her domain of Love and Beauty, Aphrodite is often very supportive. I truly think Aphrodite can help Athena overcome her misogyny, with Ares.

In conclusion, Athena and Ares have a very complex relationship. They do not simply hate each other, and neither do they have the most loving relationship. But they do care for each other. But strain can often be put on their relationship from their relationship to other people as well. Hopefully as time passes, they can overcome that, and have a healthier relationship, instead of sharing a good moment and then proceeding to fight each other for the next 500 years.
