It's been MONTHS since I figured out Strahd's outdoor wear, and I've finally figured out Rahadin's as well! The creeps can now be nice and warm when traveling the horrific countryside~

I actually started this back when I finished Strahd's look, but I think I bit off more than I could chew by trying to figure out both Rahadin's face and his clothing that I got overwhelmed and ran away from finishing the concept. I've really been into drawing CoS NPCs lately (which means hopefully I'll have more of those to show you guys) which brought me back to finally finishing this. Phew!

And to think: eventually I'll have to figure out and draw his and Strahd's canon fit eventually too! Sigh, it never stops... (but I love doing it <3)

without actually telling the lore, this is the analysis on his character: he is absolutely dog coded to me (he is a werewolf but domesticated) if he finds a person he wants to befriend by god he would try his best (that is, somehow, its never enough) he is genuinely bad at reading certain people, lie straight up in his face and he believes every word because "why would they lie". he either doesnt notice red flags, or ignores them because he wants to believe in good intent behind all this. plus the fact that he learned to repress a lot so he doesn't change forms, trying to act like how a normal human being would act, like he was told to, he really doesn't get it. he is the type of person who would rather get his feelings out through music rather than speaking about it

oh god im so biased. but like. literally all of them but!! here are some of my FAVORITES

longer hair strahd. like on the floor levels of length. straight hair, nice silky black with some red or white accents/undertones

wavy/fluffy hair strahd. oh god. have you seen that one art of strahd with fluffy hair? oh god. yes, that one. oh god. oh. oh my.

white/grey streak strahd is basically water is wet. like it's perfect, it's stable. its honestly more canon than whatever 1e strahd hair is

blonde long hair strahd. ok hear me out. this one is so hard to get right and its so rare. but for those who know about blonde hair strahd, i love you. but anyways. this one is so rarely done cuz its like. 'how would blonde hair strahd even work'? not only is it such a crackpot theory thing but it's like 3+ tinfoil level hats of insane to even explain how canonically it can/may work. either way, oh god. i need him. blonde hair strahd with silky long hair (similar to the black hair counterpart), help me. help. help. im insane over this to severely unhealthy levels but i do not care!! i am a blonde long hair strahd piller!!

bald strahd. ive been saying this for years that bald strahd would be so hot but im glad dragon age has portrayed the beauty of baldness. the child in me who crushed for number 1 in KND can finally feel the validation they righteously deserved for decades

Happy belated Father's Day to Barovia's most overprotective and concerned dad, courtesy of @luclovestruck! I like to imagine that he's been making this face the entire time since Vasilka set foot outside of Kresk...

Campaign discussion and possibly minor spoilers below!

Within less than 24 hours since leaving home, the following events have occurred:

Ran into Morgantha on the Old Svalich Road and took a beating, failing to rescue a child that was being held captive

Was led astray by an illusory Zhulong (the party's tiefling sorcerer) in the forest and accidentally whacked the party's faithful dog, Lancelot, with her warhammer, thinking he was a wolf

Was set on fire by an unseen assailant

Got stuck in some kind of illusory manor in the forest, possibly trapped in some sort of time loop???

Died twice from drinking poisoned wine and was brought back due to aforementioned time loop(?) shenanigans

Fought some mirror doppelgangers of the party and got set on fire again

Received a dressing down from Lancelot who accused her of "tricking" the party, which is probably the closest hint she's gotten that she's basically a facsimile based on Tatyana (a fact which the rest of the party has been carefully concealing from her)

Faced off against Volenta (who orchestrated the whole illusory manor bullshit) and was subsequently targeted because she dared to open her mouth and ask why Volenta was doing all of this

Was tormented by an illusion of the Abbot rebuking her, as though she were a common undead creature

Was set on fire yet again by Volenta when Vasilka taunted her in an attempt to draw her out of hiding (it didn't work...)

Is currently down at -1hp and the rest of the party is in rough shape, too

I am both extremely excited and terrified for when Vasilka finally returns to the Abbey because the Abbot is gonna be so fucking pissed that the party failed to keep her safe. He specifically extracted that promise from Zhulong, who was the one responsible for convincing the Abbot to let her leave in the first place, so I'm especially worried for him. (The player rolled a nat20 on Persuasion, it was a hugely amazing moment for everyone involved!) Here's hoping we finally get to have a long rest next session so that Vasilka has a moment to process everything that's just happened. Girl really could use a breather (and 42 skin grafts) right about now...
