Wanted: Brainstorming Buddies

Hello, my dear followers and occasional visitors to this blog.

Recently I have realised I would like to communicate more directly with people. My intention is to enlarge the little group of friends I talk to on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. I’m not a super sociable person but my interactions fall onto the shoulders of a few close friends and they kinda carry all the weight of my hectic brain functions. I love them and that’s why I would like to enlarge the list of my regular social contacts in order to spread the burden more evenly.

And naturally I thought of you guys, who are my support and sunshine for months and years here. So my first appeal is to be posted here. This is my plan A. I do have plans B, C, D, E, F, G and H but if it works out, I might not need to use them.

I have created a Discord group chat, which I would love to use to communicate directly with a larger group of friends. It’s not only tarot and astrology focused, I have many interests and I would like to share them all.

Why you SHOULDN’T join this group chat:

I’m an INTP MBTI type and it comes with some challenging characteristics. You can check the YouTube video 8 Weird Habits Of An INTP Personality Type for reference. I’m not always the worst case scenario of these but it gives a pretty good sum up.

I question EVERYTHING! Systems, rules, customs, traditions, beliefs… I’m not a religious person myself and if you present me with a problem with some rule, I will question the existence of the rule in the first place, I will probably bend it or find a loophole. I respect all beliefs but if you tell me that you have a problem with certain aspects of your belief, I will question why you stick to it. 😂 You can always tell me to move on and forget about the topic, though. I question my own opinions, rules and habits just the same so it’s not like I’m being unfair.

I’m not a shoulder to cry on or a hugging type, not even virtual hugs type. I’m a problem solver. If you share your worry or struggle or issue with me, you also have to add what reaction you want from me. If you don’t provide this information, I automatically switch to solving mode. You can tell me you just want to rant without me suggesting anything. You can tell me you want me to take your mind off the topic and cheer you up or entertain you or whatever. Just make sure you let me know what you want me to do with your issue because otherwise I will present you with one or more solutions. 😜

My mind is constantly open and I have a great respect towards diversity and freedom but I really don’t tolerate hate in any form. If you want to go for hateful rants or serious nasty complaints about people, this might not be the chat for you.

I like to keep the conversation flowing. If you are the type of person who prefers to only listen in and you are happy this way, not wanting to step outside the comfort zone, this is probably not the chat for you. If you are usually quiet but would like to start using your voice more, feel free to join, though. Effort counts with me.

I love dark sense of humour and sarcasm is my first language and I’m so fluent in it. If you are a very sensitive person, you might have a hard time with me. I’m not deliberately rude to anyone but I will test the waters and make brutal jokes now and then to observe the reactions.

I’m an adult person and I do include adult topics and language. If that’s something you feel uncomfortable about, you should avoid joining the chat.

I’m not a big fan of drama and overreacting. I can deal with occasional emotional load from my friends but if you are the type of person who truly goes nuts when it comes to emotions, you might find me cold and unfriendly.

I love to discuss a vast variety of topics and link them with each other and find patterns. It’s how my brain works. It can be confusing sometimes so you might need to bare with me.

Why you SHOULD join this group chat:

Because of me - there are not many people like me and you might actually discover some of my more intimate sides I don’t show on the blog

Because of yourself - you might want to start socialising a tiny bit more but you don’t have just one interest, you want to talk about anything and everything

Because of the fun - I have many negative sides to me but I’m not a dull or boring person and I will do my best to keep the chat alive and entertaining.

Idol's MBTI Types pt 2

A short list of kpop idols and their likely MBTI types. I know most have taken a test by using 16personalities, but it does not actually use MBTI. This half is focused on judging function doms (Te, Ti, Fe, Fi).

These are just brief explainations as I did not want to make this post too long. I will provide more in depth analysis later.

Not an expert. Based on my opinion and observations. May change later.

ExTJ (Te - Pi - Pe - Fi)

Te doms are task and goal oriented, always seeking efficiency and control. ExTJs do whatever it takes to achieve their goals, even if it means disregarding their own needs and wants (inferior Fi). This gives them their cold heartless stereotype. Te doms are solution providers and advice givers rather than emotional comforters. They prefer to use established facts and systems to work with.

ENTJ (Te - Ni - Se - Fi)

SHINee Key, Loona Heejin, ENHYPEN Ni-Ki

ENTJs value efficiency and accomplishments, completing one goal after another to achieve their desired future. Almost everything they do is for achievement.

Key is very strategic and organized (Te-Ni). He planned his Bad Love album for years, making sure it absolutely matched his vision (Ni).

I am not too familiar with Heejin or Ni-Ki but I needed 2 more examples lol...And from reading a bit about them from others, they seem to utilize ENTJ's functions well.

ESTJ (Te - Si - Ne - Fi)

TWICE Jihyo, NCT Doyoung, (G)-IDLE Soyeon

ESTJs are the enforcers and organizers. They have set routines and procedures they prefer for everyone to follow. If needed, they can be creative with solutions for new/unusual situations since they're so determined to push through things.

Jihyo uses her Te to get tasks done. She's always been a natural at organizing her environment and pushing others to reach goals.

Doyoung is straightforward and honest. He always decides what's best for the situation and for the team. He has good leadership skills, which is natural for many Te doms.

Soyeon seems to be very goal oriented, pushing herself and others to achieve new and big things.

IxTP (Ti - Pe - Pi - Fe)

Ti doms are analytical and logical, using subjective knowledge to decide what course of action makes the most sense. They look for consistencies in information to put into their own set of data. It's like piecing a puzzle for them. They have a tendency to be honest and blunt, as Ti does not see the need to sugarcoat. This is also due to their inferior Fe - they may want social harmony but do not know how to obtain it. They can also struggle to express their own emotions as they find it awkward. They may also fear the conflict it can bring, which is something Fe dislikes.

INTP (Ti - Ne - Si - Fe)

ATEEZ Yeosang, BTS Jin, ONEUS Seoho

INTPs are analytical and logical, with Ne trying to come up with better, more polished ideas. They have a stored system for all the ideas and information they have analyzed. They like to rearrange their framework to what is the most logical.

Yeosang is known for his bluntness and even the members are scared of it. He has the wit and pattern recognition of Ti - Ne. My analysis of him.

Jin has always been quite private and internalized, seemingly a bit awkward in social settings. He's good at deduction and good at such games. He also does not give up easily when arguing.

Seoho has an interest in sciences, was even planning to work in the field. He's blunt and straightforward and does not care enough to contribute to a peaceful environment.

ISTP (Ti - Se - Ni - Fe)

ONEUS Leedo, NCT Jeno, GOT7 Mark

ISTPs are often very independent and sensory seeking. They don't really have a preference for people, most often choosing to do activities alone. It allows them to ponder without any interruption.

Leedo does not seem to care much for social harmony - he's always honest and does not hesitate to get mad at his members.

Jeno enjoys complex things such as science and sensory activities. He has said he has no interest in others, showing inferior Fe.

Mark is very rational and logical, always thinks through his decisions. He's quite reactive and does not mind conflict, especially when he was younger (Se-Fe).

ExFJ (Fe - Pi - Pe - Ti)

Fe doms seek social harmony and place importance on other's values. They want to bring people together in order to achieve a shared goal. They generally put other people before themselves. Fe doms can influence other's feelings - if not careful, they can be manipulative. They may have hard time expressing their own opinions and arguments, fearing conflict and/or not feeling confident enough to word their analysis correctly.

ENFJ (Fe - Ni - Se - Ti)

SF9 Zuho, BTS Jimin, DAY6 Sungjin

ENFJs are aware of their emotional environment, always putting a lot of focus into others needs and wants. Their observation of others' feelings can help them use the right words and actions to reach a set goal. They want to be a good influence and make meaningful change for people.

Zuho clearly values being with people, easily connecting with others (Fe). He has the natural charm that is common with Fe doms.

Jimin definitely cares a lot about other's perception of him and even wants to make meaningful change for others (Fe - Ni).

Sungjin is quite people oriented, even saying he wanted to be a counselor. This shows a preference of wanting to connect and understand other's emotions and mind (Fe-Ni).

ESFJ (Fe - Si - Ne - Ti)

SF9 Jaeyoon, TWICE Dahyun, BTS J-Hope

ESFJs are aware of other's feelings and strive for connection. Fe - Si wants harmony and peace, with Si keeping track of valuable information of people. This helps to keep everyone and everything in check.

Jaeyoon is very caring and attentive towards others, gains energy from people. It's why and how he is very active on socials, always connecting with friends and fans. My analysis of him.

Dahyun is great at using her Fe - Ne to be an entertainer. She's also conflict avoidant and prefers to go with the flow (Fe - Si).

J-Hope is a social chameleon who naturally takes on the energy of others (Fe). He's very detail oriented and perfectionistic due to his Si.

IxFP (Fi - Pe - Pi - Te)

Fi doms are very internalized and private. They're concerned with authenticity, placing importance on their own values and morals. They want to be genuine and true to themselves. Deeply value ndividualistism. Because of this, they can be honest and strongly opinionated. They're more concerned with their own feelings and identity as they're the only things IxFPs feel confident controlling.

INFP (Fi - Ne - Si - Te)

SF9 Hwiyoung, DAY6 Wonpil, P1Harmony Soul

INFPs are often considered daydreamers due to their internalized nature of Fi and idealism of aux Ne. They're prone to reminsicing about their identities and experiences. These experiences serve as lessons though, shaping their characters and beliefs.

Hwiyoung has admitted to being very sensitive and emotional, is strongly opinionated (Fi). He also tends to have his head in the clouds (Ne).

Wonpil places a lot of value on authenticity and is able to create ideas from connections in the environment.

Soul is...unique and is not shy to express it (Fi). He also has some out of the box ideas sometimes (Ne).

ISFP (Fi - Se - Ni - Te)

SF9 Youngbin, ATEEZ San, BLACKPINK Jennie

ISFPs are quite down to earth and realistic due to auxiliary Se. They still have a focus on expressing their individuality (Fi) and will often show this through physical means (Se). This can be seen through fashion, different art forms, performing, etc. With aux Se, they're a lot quicker to react and pursue things without hesitation. Passionate people, nothing will stop them from getting what they want.

Youngbin is known for his passionate nature, always giving pep talks with his members. He has even made them stay up very late despite having busy schedules just bc he had so much fiery energy lol. My analysis of him.

San always talks about being genuine and authentic. No matter what the person's status is, he always judges them by their heart, which is very Fi.

Jennie has stated that staying true to herself is the most important thing for her. She also expresses her style through her fashion, makeup, and music.

How to HONESTLY get each MBTI type to LOVE you

ENTP: Hang up a schedule on the door and make them write everything that they plan to do on it. Then go over it with them again afterwards and award stickers for good performance while drawing a frowning face next to every spontanous change of plans.

INTP: Book a party bus just for them. Also don’t invite any of their friends - just hand out the invitation at a club the weekend before.

ESTP: Take everything that they want to do out of their hands and do it for them. Plus points if you do it badly.

ISTP: Repeatedly start a discussion with them in which you just support the most extreme scientifically wrong standpoints. When they try to argue against it, walk away.

ENFJ: Very nicely ask them for help on a project. After they helped you, thank them, undo it all in front of their eyes and do it again badly.

INFJ: Constantly annoy them with little things. Displace their stuff, take their food without asking, slightly crumble up their notes. Act like nothing is wrong when they try to talk about it.

ESFJ: I dare you, don’t mess with the ESFJ. They’ll have their whole social circle as a support system which will rip you apart.

ISFJ: Completely ignore them. Pretend that you don’t know them and just talk to all of their friends.

Ahh, I'm so happy to hear that you looked into mbti! 🥰 In theory, INTPs are most compatible with ENTJ, INFJ, and ENFJ but I can also see them with an ESTJ too since they're similar to ENTJs. Anyone who gets themselves a yandere ESTJ or ENTJ can kiss their autonomy and peace goodbye 😘 cuz these dom daddies will tie you up!

ENTJ 

INTP and ENTJ can get along super well! You’re each other foils (sorry, I’m talking about cognitive functions here 😅). In other words your convos will flow effortlessly. You’re both logical, rational, and think deeply about concepts. ENTJs will just adore the INTP’s smarts and love how they can just be themselves without having to sugarcoat anything, cuz they can come across as rude and insensitive even when they don’t mean to be. 

As a yandere tho, I can definitely see the problems you’re mentioning, INTP anon. Yandere ENTJ will be controlling and want everything to go according to THEIR plan. They’ll come across as inflexible and too materialistic, thinking that they can win darling over with money and material gifts. They’re possessive and sadistic. DOM DADDY MATERIAL  

Yandere Prosciutto has already made plans for you and him 10 years into the future. There is no such thing as diversions because that wasn’t in his plan. INTP darling belongs to HIM. Pesci is talking to HIS darling? Well, a punishment will be put in place for both. He’ll smack Pesci a few times until he begs for forgiveness and gives a cold reminder that INTP darling is his. As for darling? He’ll outright treat them like a child, how so utterly humiliating for an INTP... for their knowledge and smarts to be questioned and cast aside.

ESTJ

They’re similar to ENTJs in the sense of being workaholics, being very logical and blunt, and efficient. What separates them is that they’re more in touch with the present moment and value traditional methods over conventional ones. I think an INTP would be able to bond over everything I said about ENTJ but the only difference would be you both might feel nostalgic over things and share those moments together. Though the INTP will struggle to share abstract concepts, leaving them bored and unfulfilled since ESTJs are grounded in reality and concrete concepts.

A yandere ESTJ would be insane. Micromanagers, nitpicky, HORRIBLE TEMPER, abusive, close-minded and inflexible.

Normal Ghiaccio was already all of those things I listed lmao. Yandere Ghiaccio has all those qualities BUT HEIGHTENED. Poor INTP darling would feel so restricted. Every move they make is being watched by Ghiaccio and criticized. Nothing darling does is ever good enough or right! Freedom? What’s that? Does that make money for Ghiaccio? No? So don’t bother him with such trivial things. INTP darling has clearly proven to be dysfunctional without him since you can’t do anything right. You’re staying with him, forever.

I prefer enneagram over MBTI because I find it easier to type; so fair warning that I'm not an authority on MBTI-typing. But I do have have an ongoing RWBY typing that includes MBTI sooo... here goes !

I just can't decide between the two fors Ruby because... it kind of goes both way ??? Like Ruby definitely feels as INFP for the first half of the series; she's got a clear Fi > Ne preference... But then when she develops her Tert in V6 it's just... Te ? And she really doesn't show much Si actually she fits more the Si inf vibe in the form of forgetting about bad memories and her mom until people dig it up and she's like "nooo !" ?? So it looks like Te > Si but also Fi > Ne; conclusion idfk

Clear Fi tert rearing its head along with the 1 so I'm going with ISTJ; I also never really saw any Ne. Her type isn't too disagreed upon so tell me if you want a lenghtier explanation.

Wooh this might get the anger of some (i have experience with the INFJ typers) but Blake goddamn REEKS of Fi. Less so recently but for the first seasons oh my god. She straights up catch you by the shirt and tells you "I'm doing the right thing"; and said right thing is so heavily dependant on her own subjectives values, which is why Blake can't reconcile with the current White Fang; because she doesn't have a strong Je vision of "what objectively works in the end", she only sees actions in terms of immediate right and wrong, and this b&w dichotomy stems from herself. What the WF is doing is wrong and the circumstances don't matter for judging the morality of their actions (of course I'm not talking about murder here bc that's pretty wrong ALL THE TIME but for example the stealing occuring in V1 bc of the WF is a better example)

I'm sorry about that but I can't help you on that aspect anon, I still can't make up my mind about whether Yang has Fi or Ti. I have seen arguments for both, and i'm not the best at picking up on Ti so it's hard for me to tell.

In my list Pyrrha is currently written down as ISFJ but that's mostly based on the general consensus and me wanting to get rid of the XX. I don't actually have any convincing arguments to decide on Ni or Si, so I could go either way if someone else makes their case well. I feel like she's Fe aux more than dom, but even about that I could change my mind. Pyrrha didn't have that much screentime in the end :((

Ironically I'm not sure about his type, kind of like you. I've mentionned I'm not very good at picking up on Ti right ? And Ren was a background character before V4 really. I had him written down as ISTP for a while but I've seen some convincing arguments for ISTJ so I might lean toward that actually but who knows. The thing I'm very confident about is his 5 fix = )

Again, not enough screentime for me to make an educated guess. My only certainty is : not high Fi. It's the source of their conflicts. Blake confidence in absolute right & wrong, tracing lines in the sand between acceptable & unacceptable. Whereas Ilia can only shake her head and say "Because it works", or cry out "I don't know what else to do !"

I would personally call him an INFJ. I... never really got INTP vibes from him ? I don't see the Fe inf work out with his interactions : he's always rather at ease, he knows how to navigate around people... His focus inherently lies on doing what's best for the "group", the people, humanity. Fx functions are both concerned with ethics, in different ways, and I think Oz reflects that well. He IS concerned with the moral weight of his actions, but it's a more adaptable and unpersonnal concern than Fi people. He regards Ironwood's soul machines as something wrong, but can still agree to use it if the situations demand it for example. So... if the INFJ + 5 makes sense to you, well that's what I'm typing him personally. I also feel like Ni fits him more than Ne. Ozpin has a very linear way of planning, he does use his fair share of symbolism in every day conversation... Even when taking decisions, he... kind of cares about the meaning of things a lot ? It's hard to explain but like; the way he highlights the difference between an army and a guardian, and the emotionnal response it brings. I don't know it feels like there's some Ni vibes in there x)

Oscar's type honestly isn't the one I would have the easiest time explaining in lenght but yea. It's mostly vibes; also just like Ozpin he doesn't seem to have a particularly Fi reasonning. And he feels more grounded, I don't really remember any Ni so... yay ?

Ironwood • ENFJ 6w5 1w2 3w4 (pre-Vol8); ENTJ (post-Vol8)

Might be weird if you think he was a dictator from the start, but I kind of entertained the idea of Ironwood being Fe dom ? From his very first interaction it was very clear that he was a Je dom to me; he's all about objective results; he doesn't give off the "internal framework" or "personnal values" vibe AT ALL; so it was more a matter of picking Te or Fe. He LOOKS super Te don't get me wrong; but he also has an enneagram tritype that is very common amongst XXTJs (and TJs stereotypes thus derive from it). And just like Oz, his focus at all time seemed to be the greater good and doing what's best for the people still. So I was like... Eh, a "harsh" ENFJ I think that's interesting ? Plus Fe ethics actually derive from their environment, kinda like "everyone agrees that Y is wrong", and if you consider that James is from Atlas... Well his way of thinking and ethics align pretty well with the military.

His character took a turn for the worse in V8 (whether too quick or not depends on who you ask) and past that point he's a clear ENTJ; but I feel like it was more debatable before that. Idk though I might be overthinking this in the hope of making more interesting combinations xD

i used to be obessively into mbti so here’s an analysis based on cognitive functions mostly.

SKIP IF YOU WANT. for anyone with no idea how it works, here’s a quick rundown: cognitive functions are about the way people think, process, and prioritize information, not necessarily how they act, though people who think the same way often act the same. the 8 letters that make up a type represent how people process and prioritize internal and external stimuli. every letter actually has an ‘internal’ and 'external’ form so there’s Thinking (internal(ti) and external(te)), Feeling (internal(fi) and external(fe)), Sensing (internal(si) and external(se)), and iNtuition(internal(ni) and external(ne)) t’s always go with a corresponding and opposite f (like ti and fe always go together), same with s’s and n’s (ex: si and ne always go together). a set of  t, f, s, and n in a specific order makes an mbti type.

neil: intp (ti ne si fe)

neil has incredible analytical ability although it’s very programmed for survival but he’s also a fast thinker and very quick to adapt to new environments. he also approaches things from original angles that other people dont consider, all that sounds like high ti/ne. the lower functions fit well too. in times of stress, he returns to old habits and falls back on what’s familiar, that’s classic low si. his emotions are also very exterior. he’s bad with other people from lack of exposure, but he’s committed to harmony between those close to him and has an impeccable ability to read the emotional states of others while being completely oblivious of his own, and his sense of self is tied to exterior things like exy, friends, keys, and legal documents (lol) that’s fe

andrew: intj (ni te fi se)

ni is really hard to describe but it has to do with being able to draw conclusions from scattered input, which fits with andrew’s uncanny ability to spot lies and obsession with finding out the truth, especially with high te, which is about spatial order and logic, think of how prioritized he is with the physical order of things: who sits where, who wears what, etc. a lot of people want to make andrew infj i bet as like a “subversive reading” but he’s definitely not. i used to be really close to an infj and they have hyper-empathy, as in she would describe not just caring about other people and being able to read their emotional states but literally feeling the things the people around her felt. this is a common result of the ni/fe combo, and the reason why andrew is definitely not infj. tertiary fi fits very well instead because andrew is deeply attuned to his own inner emotional state. he’s self-confident and doesn’t care about other people’s perception of him, but he’s also very concerned with his own feelings and understanding them, even if they’re repressed. he’s also very aware of his physical surroundings, which plays into his deductive ability, although it’s not his focus. that’s low se

kevin: estj (te si ne fi)

kevin is a classic estj. he’s controlling, demanding, and driven. he tries to control the actions of those around him and gets very distressed when things dont run smoothly, as well as having strong feelings about improving efficiency. high te people make great managers. kevin’s whole story arc is about breaking old habits, which is a very si problem. it has to do with trusting and craving memory and familiarity, and explains kevins need for endless repetition. he’s innovative, though, coming up with new strategies and drills (ne), it’s just based on what’s already familiar, and you can see him spiral into creating all possible worst-case scenarios when he’s stressed (low ne stress reaction, they like to be prepared). finally, he’s a dick, but he cares about other people and wants to improve their lives, as well as being very reliant on other people’s perceptions of him to define his own self-image (low fe)

dan: esfj (fe si ne ti)

dan’s top priority, over everything else, is her team. she wants her team to improve, she wants her team to win, she wants her team to work together. it’s all about the collective. we also see that she’s very open with others and makes a lot of effort to both make new ties and maintain old ones, that’s high fe. she’s sentimental and attached to the past too (si)  esp the photo wall, but we also see her very unwilling to let go of the past ie the monsters but eventually willing to change and grow to mend team cohesion (ne). we also see the fight in underlying logic (low ti) with her: she knows the team needs the monsters to cooperate but she cant figure out how to do it

matt: enfj (fe ni se ti)

so enfj’s experience infj hyper-empathy too, but to a slightly lesser extent (primary fe is more group cohesion, secondary fe is more understanding others), and through this we see matt’s easy-going open friendliness and ability to befriend even prickly little neil, because he has an extremely good sense of what other people are feeling and need, it also explains why he doesn’t hold a grudge against the cousins in the same way dan does, because he understands where they were coming from. se is associated with a general boisterousness for life, as it’s about experiencing the world around you, which explains matt’s happy-go-lucky disposition and puppydog behavior. the ti aspects mostly go into supporting fe/ni empathic senses

allison: entj (te ni se fi)

i mean, allison’s controlling, both in that she orders other people around and in that her physical being and space are very planned and organized (her clothes, her hair, her makeup, etc) but at the same time there isn’t much sentimentality to her, like how she doesn’t care when her car was destroyed. she easily replaces things because she cares about the object’s purpose, not its history and that all smacks of high te/ni. and i mean, the se definitely contributes to her love of designer things and killer looks, because she cares about the world immediately around her, and why live if not in luxury? and fi? is there any character more aggressively self-confident than allison reynolds?? going against her parents’ wishes for her takes a really strong, independent sense of self, but we also see the problems that can come from not worrying about other people, in how she starts fights and can be abrasive and catty

renee: infp (fi ne si te)

okay this one was really hard tbh. a list of other considerations: isfp, istp, and infj. it’s very easy to read renee as high fe because she’s kind, but i think it’s a mischaracteration of why she’s kind. it’s not because it comes naturally to her, it’s because it’s a conscious choice that makes her feel better about herself. high fi people often read as fe because they’re so comfortable with themselves and in tune with their own needs that they can then go and provide for others. i associate her religion with ne, because contemplation and acceptance of the divine later in life is a very metaphysical undertaking that undoubtedly requires a lot of abstract thought. renee’s storyline also revolves a lot around using things from her past and putting a conscious effort into leaving things from her past behind (how she still uses the skills she learned from her past in new ways ie sparring with andrew and protecting the upperclassmen v/s how she held on to her knives even when she knew it was detrimental to her moving on) this sounds like si. her protective instincts also feed into the te need for order, but it’s a looser leash than say andrew, as it’s lower on her function stack but still present

nicky: esfp (se fi te ni)

godd nicky is like a prototypical esfp. i mean nicholas “sex, drugs, and parties” hemmick cant be anything but se dominant. nicky is all about living it up and living in the moment. like he’s sporadic and ive seen it lead people to think he could be enfp but he doesn’t think enough about the meaning of things to be ne dominant (like how he makes somewhat predatory jokes and such, he’s all about the here-and-now while ne is about the past and future simultaneously). also he of all characters has incredibly prominent fi, as his whole character is about living unashamedly as himself as a gay man and the immense self-awareness and inner strength it takes not only to come out to unaccepting parents but also to leave and start a new life when they rejected him. however, fi is also indicative of his communication problems with his family, as he’s unable to tell that the cousins are fundamentally different from him in their needs and boundaries, leading him to pushing them, making them uncomfortable, and being unable to help them, because he’s unable to understand them. the rest are much more hidden, but a party boy shopaholic like nicky would probably need some amount of te order in like an organized chaos fashion (and he’s often headcanoned as liking to throw parties) and you do see him become somewhat pushy, even controlling in those scenarios. ni is the hardest but could maybe be seen in how he’s attuned to the cousins reactions for all that he cant predict them/doesn’t do anything on his own part to prevent them (the way he handles andrew is like if someone poked a rattlesnake knowing damn well what it would do and then freaked out when he got bit)

aaron: istj (si te fi ne)

im a little iffy on this one and worry it might be an analysis based on his trauma instead of complimentary to it, but aaron’s arc is about breaking out of his habit of holding on to the past. he refuses to work towards moving on from his mother’s death, refuses to listen to things that contradict his preconceived notions, and refuses to make changes in his life that could improve it. that’s unhealthy si. he’s really a very unhealthy istj, and most of his traits manifest through his unhappiness with his life. take his te. that would imply that he needs control over his surroundings, but aaron is incredibly bitter and unhappy BECAUSE he doesn’t have control of his surroundings. he doesn’t get to make his own choices, he doesn’t get to control his space, and he hates it. his relationship with katelyn is also indicative of being an istj. it’s stable, not a passionate fling, but aaron is mocked for wanting that white picket fence, married with kids in the suburbs kind of life, and his relationship, which is his primary source of happiness, is built on stability, which is a very si thing to do. in terms of fi, it is aaron that ultimately forces change between himself and andrew. he may have been pushed but he ultimately came down to him knowing what made him happy and what made him miserable and acting on that. also, he’s an ornery asshole who clearly doesn’t care what other people think of him. fi. i dont really have anything to say in terms of ne, probably because he’s so unhealthy but also because he’s not too explored. heyy istj’s make great doctors

wymack: isfj (si fe ti ne)

okay this one was genuinely the hardest to decide on but ultimately i came to the conclusion that wymack, much like renee, is such a developed person that he loses many defining traits of the functions, and can be read in many different ways. so: wymack’s primary goal is the safety and betterment of other people (ie his team). he wants to help people overcome their pasts, which is a very atypical approach to si, but is si nonetheless. on a personal level, too, he’s never able to move on from people, and specifically never moved on from kayleigh,  continuing their shared dream of an exy team for abused kids long after her death. as ive said before, fe in a secondary position is about deep understanding of other people, and wymack’s ability to understand what other people are struggling through is legendary. the ti mostly serves as support to the fe, serving as the analytical backup in allowing him to understand others. as for ne: he is most definitely an innovator with unusual ideas, or the foxes wouldn’t exist

riko: estp (se ti fe ni)

riko is basically what happens when an estp goes bad down to the core. he’s obsessed with personal glory and immediate self-fulfillment (se) he has no impulse control or fear of consequences. interestingly, high se is often associated with athleticism, because high se people are intensly focused on their surroundings (exy). his ti is also super unhealthy as he gets obsessed with ideas that dont really work with objective reality, like his obsession with ownership and power dynamics despite them not actually being efficient, even backwards. the tertiary fe he uses to manipulate. he doesn’t empathize with others, but he can tell their emotional state and what’s important to them, and uses it to coerce them and destroy their sense of self, like how he knew he could get neil to the nest by threatening andrew. EDIT: /additionally, fe people especially in the lower half of the function stack tend to derive their sense of self from the perceptions of others around them, which riko very much shows in how he needs to be acknowledged as the best and won’t allow any competition for his title, as well as his desperation for acknowledgement from his family/. finally, that ni allowed him to keep multiple plans in place focused on one ultimate goal: getting kevin back. the sheer amount of schemes he sets up in order to fool and push people the way he wants is honestly kinda impressive, but he’s a toxic shithead and im glad he’s rotting. definitely not representative of all estp’s

The two types I am torn between are Infp and Intp. I am torn between these two because of the stereotypes and the confusion between dominant introverted feeling and thinking, and inferior fe and te. I have researched the cognitive functions between these two types for months, and still cannot find out which type I am. I relate to both introverted feeling and thinking a lot. I have a hard time distinguishing myself from my reputation and who I am genuinely...

It's funny how similar Ti and Fi can look on the surface, as they're both so identity driven. I'm seeing more Ti than Fi with what you've written:

"When I have arguments with people I don’t like when people start to get an irritated tone...I think that the tone was unnecessary to the conversation" - Ti prefers to keep emotion out of arguments, as it takes away from the factual information

"I have a habit of giving the person advice instead of emotionally supporting them. I don’t try to guess what people want from me, I straight up ask what they want." - T is more prone to collect information (ask what they want) and give advice. F would more naturally lean towards comfort/support/validation.

"I tend to get frustrated when people expect me to know how they feel and use it as leverage in an argument. I especially hate when people try to manipulate me into doing something when they could’ve just asked and I would’ve done it. I also really don’t like when people can’t communicate and tell me when I hurt their feelings, because if you don’t tell me I probably won’t know." - Again, this points to low Fe/low emotional awareness. Ti wants feelings removed from arguments, and is going to be less aware of its emotional impact on people than an Fi-dominant.

I’ve been playing netball for the past 13 years, even coaching my own team of under 7’s. My main hobbies include basically anything with my friends, I class them as my first family. My Hero Academia Matchup: I pair you with… Takami Keigo!

You are both rather busy bees but still, manage to make time for each other at the end of the day. I also feel like Keigo would be a Slytherin, so you guys could match (headcanon, you guys could wear Slytherin robes to Halloween parties). I don’t think the drugs would bug Keigo too much, but he ultimately wants you to be happy and healthy.

He would definitely be super interested in your netball team! You can bet he’ll try and show up to practices and such if his schedule allows it, and he would be your guys’ number one fans :) He really admires your ability to balance family drama, friends, relationships, and everything else in your life. His favorite ‘date’ to go on is dinner and then a sunset flight around the city or just a walk if you don’t feel like flying that particular day.

You guys would be around the same height! I’ve seen the general consensus that he would be around 5’4”, and he would absolutely try and use his wings to make himself look taller.

A way you guys could bond would be lazy days on days off, and it could be spent reading, playing video games, maybe even cooking if you trust him in the kitchen! I see a lot of people saying he would be really fidgety and wouldn’t be able to sit still, but I think different. His job needs him to sit still for long periods, and that would transfer to his day-to-day life as well.

He’s used to handling all types of situations, and he would be really good at diffusing situations while also cracking jokes and making you smile. One of the things he loves about you most is your smile, and he’ll do pretty much anything to see that smile light up your face!

Bungou Stray Dogs Matchup: I pair you with… Kunikida Doppo!

Ultimately he could help keep you in check, and you can help him loosen up! It would start small, you’d have a planned date, and then it might “accidentally” go out of whack into something more spontaneous and fun. It stresses him out at first, but as time goes on, you two get more and more used to the spontaneity, and he even starts to enjoy it a little :)

He greatly admires your ability to juggle multiple things at once, and honestly, his favorite time with you is to just go on a long walk in the park at sunset before the craziness of the day starts. Another thing he loves to do is just sit with you, and he reads, and you either read a manga or play a video game or just listen to music. If you started an argument with someone (maybe Dazai) for whatever reason, he would be perfectly fine with quite literally sweeping you off your feet and carrying you someplace to calm down.

He likes the domestic parts of your relationship; cooking dinner is a staple part of your relationship and a way you two bond after a long day. He’ll usually have the two of you switch off washing and drying dishes.

Overall it’s a learning experience and bonding experience for the two of you. But he would love you very much and couldn’t imagine life without you :)

Jujutsu Kaisen Matchup: I pair you with… Nanami Kento!

Ok, first off, he would try his damndest to keep you out of the world of Jujutsu Tech, and curses, and sorcerers. If you were a sorcerer already, he would strongly encourage you to retire or at least take less dangerous missions. If you were a civilian, he would not let you anywhere near his job (especially Gojo). He would tell you for sure and teach you the basics of handling a weapon if something happens or he can’t get there in time. But under no circumstances is he allowing you to throw yourself in harm’s way. He simply loves you too much to see you get hurt.

So you help him in other ways. If he comes home stressed, you are the one to give him a massage or have a hot meal waiting. If he’s injured, you learn very quickly how to bandage and stitch him up. You end up learning to do pretty much anything other than major surgeries or cleaning extensive wounds.

He’s not much of a goof (he leaves that to Gojo), but he has his own unique brand of humor and inside jokes shared between the two of you. He loves the domestics. It helps him relax and forget about the world of sorcerers for a little while. His favorite thing is to take a bath, and either you’re sitting by his side or sharing the tub with him and just relaxing and talking bout your day. He always asks you about your day and will listen to the little details no matter how meaningless.

Do you have any examples of how dom Ti works in everyday life?

I don’t use it, and I do observe it in other people, so I can add a few things at the end, but I thought I’d ask my ISTP friend how hers appears on a daily basis.

She sent me this:

I work for a software company, primarily in tech support because I’m very good at troubleshooting (though I don’t like routines, so I help out other departments who come to me directly.  This is technically unsanctioned, but when a co-worker needs help and I know how to provide it, I do it anyway).  I’m able to use my in-depth knowledge of the software to determine not only how to solve the issue, but also, half the time, I need to figure out what is actually wrong from customer’s invariably scanty and vague description of their issue.  I’ll receive tickets with statements like “the totals for 12345 aren’t right” – which could mean anything.  12345 could be an invoice number, a master account number, a sub-account, or an import ID, or inventory ID, or a user-defined value… anything, really. However, before I email the customer and ask for clarification, I can often decipher their vague descriptions myself.  I know it’s something invoice related, and master accounts are the primary method of referring to invoices, so I would start there.  I would pull up all invoices or account 12345, and then check to see if any have discrepant totals and/or alerts that they’re out of balance. If I find one, then at that point, I will usually send an email to the customer to confirm I’m looking at the right issue, and I don’t have to make them feel like an idiot for not providing enough info up front. I work frequently with a newer employee who tends to be very literal. He’ll tell me in frustration:  "I spent two hours searching the reports for this number but found nothing.“

Me: “Did you use wildcards and part of the number?" 

Newer Employee: ” …“ 

Me, two minutes later:  "Is this the data you’re looking for?" 

Newer Employee: ”…“ 

There’s not one way to do things, there are many ways.  I can jury rig just about any process in the software I support.  I find it easy to work back from the end result someone needs to find ways to populate and/or pull it out.  I also tend to troubleshoot faster than my co-workers can keep up with, and if I’m training someone I usually have to slow way down.   Working with detail-oriented, by-the-book, methodical people is the bane of my life.  They want to go through the process from start to finish, and I can jump to the heart of the problem.   But doing that breaks their way of thinking, so I prefer to work by myself. I am not a team player, not if I can help it.  Other people just slow me down.  But leave me alone and I’ll figure out whatever the problem is.

A Ti/Se example of how it turns up in daily life, with regards to meal-planning (ahh, perceivers… let’s just wing it!! ;):

My sister:  "What should we get for dinner tonight?" 

Me:  "I don’t know, let’s see what the store has and decide there.”

My answer to this question drives my sister crazy.  She wants to go to the store with some idea of what kind of food we’re looking for in advance. I can’t do that.  I don’t know how you can possibly have any idea what to buy for dinner until you get to the store and see what’s on sale and/or what looks good.  My head stays full of all the meals we would regularly make, so I know what other ingredients I would need to buy based on whatever main ingredient is chosen.  If chicken is on sale, great, there are 30 ways I can make chicken quickly.  Then it’s a matter of what sounds good at the time, grab those ingredients and whatever goes with it, done.  I’ve got dinner. Along the same lines, my mom loves to read the grocery store ads to see what’s on sale.  She saves these to pass to me… and I haven’t the heart to tell her they don’t matter to me.  Even if I read them, I won’t remember which store had what when it is time to go to the store.  I don’t plan my grocery store visits around sales.  If something’s on sale that I use, I’ll see it when I get to the store.  If it’s not on sale and I don’t need it, then I’ll pass it by.  I make all those decisions at the store, not in advance.  I don’t make lists either.  The only exception to that is when I’m baking something with unusual ingredients that wouldn’t normally be on my radar.  Otherwise, I always know what I need (there’s a running list in my head), or I’ll make it up as I go.   Don’t make me plan about food before I get to the store! I’m also very good about timing the cooking of all side dishes and the main dish so that everything comes off the stove at the same time.  I’m not a casserole (gross) or one-pot cooking type of person.  So, when I cook dinner, it’s usually some kind of protein, with a couple of side dishes (like grilled chicken, with jasmine rice and sauteed broccoli, for example).  Usually at least 2 or 3 different pots/pans etc.  It is extremely rare that I won’t have all three coming off the stove within a minute of each other.   I know how long things take to cook and I simply start each dish so that it will finish at the right time.  I don’t really need a clock for this, though I do use timers for how long things like rice should cook, etc.

Mod Note: from an outside perspective, looking at my Ti-dom / INTP brother (who is admittedly a strong 5), Ti in daily life seems more interested in figuring things out and focusing on picking away at others’ arguments to make them all consistent than anything. It is ruthlessly logical and detached, once it knows how ‘something works’ it can work within that system effortlessly, and it often will go in without any kind of plan and just… ‘wing it’ based on what’s available, a lot like the cooking example above, but more in terms of abstract theories. They typically do not like having their thinking process challenged in the sense that they will prefer their own method of thinking / logical assessment to yours, yours probably is flawed, and therefore mine is the superior argument that I am sticking to… in part because if they are wrong and you are right, it means doing a complete mental re-haul of their logical process, which is time-consuming and might cause the entire thing to fracture. Logic is logic, and logic is what they see, and THEIR logic is how they respond. - ENFP Mod

Because I managed to produce a surprising amount of trash-- I mean, fics this year, I’m compiling a master list in an attempt to feel like a professional to keep track of stuff. Also this is approximately the sixth month since I became really active on Tumblr, so this feels like a good time for a roundup, which was the original purpose for this blog. Coming from this idea that I had while on a bus. (which got a lot more notes than I expected what’s going on) Thinking of making this a multi chapter fic, actually. Nothing too long, just around maybe 5 chapters..? Will start on the outline next week, but no idea on how fast the writing will go. (the question is how much of my procrastinating power will go here, really) I might post the outline if anyone’s interested.

3. RotS What if Ahsoka was still around AU

Another short multi-chapter fic that I’ve been dabbling on for forever. I do have some snippets lying around and the general outline is done, but... well, RotS is just full of FEELS which I’m not very good at. So the tentative goal right now is within this year. The delay isn’t so much that I’m not inspired, just that I want to get this one right. So that means re-watching the movies and all relevant TCW episodes as well as reading the RotS novelization. (Which is going to be fun, I’m sure.)

ESTJ: As you walk into the room, he is sitting at an office desk. He motions for you to sit down. (This confuses you greatly, because you don’t even have an office desk in your house; did he buy one just for this occasion?) Lmao, that’s cute. Let them come and watch me win the Oscar performance of the year as I cry about how you beat me, and drag you away to jail instead. No, baby, you’re not going anywhere. We’re never breaking up. We’re always going to be together. Forever.

ENTJ: He’s a wildly successful entrepreneur who ended up becoming a multi-millionaire. You’re the beautiful philanthropist and socialite trophy wife and stay-at-home mom who takes care of the kids. Together, you own homes in four different countries (one for each season, and several in Aspen and Montauk - just for the weekends, of course), a yacht, multiple sports cars, an entire room just for shoes, ties, and handbags, and a chef, a housekeeper, and a full-time, live-in nanny. Everything he owns is shiny, new, the latest model - everything, that is, except for you. So he cheats on you behind your back, divorces you when you find out about it, and then replaces you with a hotter, younger replica of yourself.

But hey, at least you got half of everything in the divorce. At least he was gracious enough not to have you assassinated, I guess.

INTJ: Calmly and rationally explains to you why it just wouldn’t work in the grand scheme of things. I mean, for one thing, having a wife (or even a serious girlfriend) just wasn’t a part of the life plan that he created for himself in the first grade; hell, it wasn’t even a part of the ten-year plan that he drew up for himself on the first day of high school. He’s not trying to be rude or insensitive, but he just doesn’t have the time to waste on pursuing empty, meaningless pursuits like social relationships or having a girlfriend. How is he going to meet his goal of becoming the youngest PhD holder in his state if he has to waste time doing things like talking to you?

Joke’s on him, though, because this is exactly how the movie Legally Blonde started, and doesn’t he know how that movie ended for someone like him?

ENTP: ENTPs don’t break up with you, because ENTPs don’t date anyone seriously in the first place. If, by some stroke of (horrible) luck, you actually did manage to get an ENTP to agree to hang out with you often enough under a context that could reasonably be construed as the two of you being “in a relationship”, they would probably get bored and cheat on you within weeks. But hey, if you’re a masochist and getting your heart broken repeatedly is your thing (lookin’ at you, INFxs), then do what makes you happy, man. I’m not judging.

INTP: Meh. Doesn’t really bother to break up with you. Continues to co-habitate with you while ceasing to continue putting any effort into the maintenance of the relationship, and just kind of letting it die a natural death. By the time it’s over, neither of you have cared for months.

ENFJ: Leaves you a length, caring, compassionate, “It’s not you, it’s me” goodbye letter on your bedside table in an attempt to soften the blow of gently explaining that she has decided to leave you and your life together in order to pursue her dream of cultivating relationships with multiple wealthy Sugar Daddies who fund her extravagant, globetrotting lifestyle.

INFJ: INFJs never truly break up with anyone. They keep the door open just the tiniest sliver, so that they can keep you around as their potential back-up plan in case their current relationship falls apart. After all, where are they going to get their identity and sense of self from if they’re alone?

ENFP: You come home after work and she isn’t there. None of her stuff is missing, so at first, you aren’t worried - she must just be running late, or made an impromptu decision to go see a friend. By 10 PM, you’re riddled with anxiety and the fear that something has gone horribly, horribly wrong. You call her friends. You call all the local hospitals and jails. You file a police report. But nothing ever comes of the investigation, and no one can figure out what happened to her - it’s like she dropped off the face of the Earth. The whole ordeal is emotionally devastating for you, but eventually life goes on, as it inevitably must.

That’s it. That’s literally it. You’ll never hear from them again. It’s like they just never existed. After a while, you start to wonder whether they ever really did, or if they were just a figment of your imagination.

Can not decide which personality i am. HELP!

Hello! When i discovered 16personalities my result was ENTP. (At that time i was 15 years old. Probably a that time i didn't know myself) But when i did the test this year I am not even close to ENTP. (I am 20 right now.) I confuse myself between INTJ and INTP.

I'll tell you a little bit about myself and I'd be happy if you could tell me which Personality Type I'm closer to.

- I am cold and calculating but sometimes i put on a mask and try to socialize with people but it doesn't work. When i socialize i felt like somebody choking me. I really need alone time everyday. I decide i don't like people only few people.

-I am not an organized person but when it comes to assignments or grades or studying i am very competitive and want to get the best grade. I have serious future career plans and often think about them.

-I plan almost everything in my head. (Like: I am gonna do this then this...) If it is important i do it right away but if it is not then i delay or don't do that at all.

-I like books, music, psychology, movies, anime. I make lists about which movie i am going to watch or which book i am going to read and when i make lists i get obsessed with finishing. Oh, i like memes too. :)

-When i go to sleep i get anxious about the future. I can't sleep right away. (Like; if this happen what would i do)

-Only i show my emotions to my family i am only child. When we fight with my mother i show my anger and raise my voice but when i fight with somebody outside i try not to show emotions and use sarcasm with a smile.

-I really don’t respect traditions or traditional days it is kind a stupid and unnecessary for me.
