Day 19 of Fandom Holiday Gifting Event

Today's task was to read a rare pair. And ofc I chose SenatorSquared (Oscar Diaz/Rafael Luna) because this is SUCH A CLEVER pair. I'd never thought of it before but when i came across it i was instantly like OH MY GOD YES. any old time you keep me waiting by MikWrites_inSpace is a bookverse fic in which Oscar & Raf pull their shit together (As the author so eloquently put it /hj but like /srs). Their ship dynamic is one of my favs because uGH I LOVE ME SOME BESTIES TO GHOSTIES TO LOVERS (alex/henry im looking at you two as well). Anyway this is a really good fic and i really loved reading it so you should go read it too (it's just 13k cmon)

I recently bought an art book on Caspar David Friedrich, whose emotional work stuck with me since I first saw it in a museum years ago. Over the course of a few weeks, I read about his life and at the same time did studies/interpretations of many pieces. It was a really enjoyable and fulfilling project; here's a good lot of them together :)

I was happy to see many people enjoyed Friedrich's work+my interpretations while posting them individually. It took way too long, but I FINALLY set up a print shop for some of these + some other pieces for those who expressed interest. Thank you so much!

this is definitely an intersection of my aromanticism and my pedantic nature, but i do enjoy it so much when it's emphasised that it wasn't (usually romantic) love that "fixed" someone or made them "complete", nor was it love that they were missing, but instead comfort, or safety, or a sense of purpose, or simply an opportunity to stop and rest for a while. when far more basic, animal desires take precedence, and are acknowledged to be no less meaningful or worthwhile to pursue. and perhaps love was there, and perhaps it helped to facilitate their fulfilment, but it was never a necessary condition, and its recipients wouldn't have been any less deserving of having their needs met if they weren't loved.
