HEY HI HELLO
Sorry for the random message here In the asks, it's ok if you don't see this or answer it since you probably got a lot already and I understand if you don't see this!/gen
But first of all, I just wanna say
I CANT BELIEVE I HAVENT WATCHED YOUR ANALYSIS VIDEO SOONER IM SO FUCKING LATE MAN
It's so well done and so fucking funny, I was literally smiling and cackling through the whole thing, it's shocking how similar our humor is
NOT TO MENTION THE END SCENE AREE YOU KIDDING HOW DID YOU MATCH THE LYRICS SO PERFECTLY TO THE FUCKING LORE ITS INCREDIBLE 😭💜/GEN, POS
It's insane how much dedication is put into it, let alone singlehandedly feeding turbo fans as myself
Genuinely thought it's so nice seeing more content for a hyperfixation I've had since 2012, and the fandom coming back along with this video Genuinely brings me so much joy as someone who's loved this movie since I was a kid
Sorry for the ramble but genuinely thank you for making that video, I can't wait to see what other stuff you do, wreck it ralph or not I WILL be tuning in/gen, pos
Okay second of all
The main reason why I'm sending this is because of sometning I noticed while rewatching a scene in the movie
Now, this might be me over analyzing as I usually do but it feels TOO. OBVIOUS.
SO
IN the kart bakery scene where vanellope and ralph go to bake a kart, they obviously make their way into the building and into the main room
You see all the Karts of course, and It pans to the one vanellope chooses
Which, at first glance you wouldn't really pay too much attention, especially when watching it for the first time, she's just picking the model she likes
..but looking back at the scene
Vanellope's kart model, how it was supposed to look, looks very
Familiar
Because the kart she chose..
...is a red and white kart
With stripes down the middle, with a very similar shape to a..certain persons kart. Now this might just be nothing, it's probably just like I said, and over analysis on my part
But the kart the chose looks WAY too similar to turbo's, not to mention the stripe is down the middle, just like turbo's car on the cabinet art of him
And vanellope could've chosen ANY kart
But it was that specific kart she chose, out of any of the karts
Not to mention in some of vanellope's concept art...
(Art made by Lorelay Bove)
..Vanellope's concept design and turbos designs strike SCARILY uncanny resemblances to each others designs
From the helmet and colors
All the way down to her GOGGLES having the SAME. YELLOW. TINT. that candy's have in the movie, which have the same effect here. There's no way that this didn't have the intent to mirror turbo purposefully
So with that in mind, the kart vanellope chose in the kart bakery scene being turbo foreshadowing, wouldn't be too out of place, nor would it be too far off
Turbo's foreshadowing was always prominent, even in the smallest details you wouldn't focus on, just like he's infecting this world as a virus, little by little, everywhere. You. Turn.
Aaaand that's basically all I have to really say
Sorry for the long ramble, I've been thinking of submitting this for awhile now, especially after I told a friend about this and they mentioned that this should be submitted to you
So I decided to go ahead and just do it, no matter how wild my comparisons might sound-
Anyways, I hope you have a good day, night, or what time it may be, and keep being awesome! I can't wait to hear back if you see this! Bye-bye! ❤️🏎🏆
P.s
I've been quoting these since I watched the video and haven't stopped
Thanks for destroying my humor even more-/pos
Okay bye bye now-
-skitters away-
NO YOU'RE SO FUCKING RIGHT OH MY GOD VANELLOPE WAS ALWAYS A TURBO PARALLEL??? CHAT IS THIS TRUE. IVE NEVER SEEN THAT CONCEPT ART OF HER TEEHEE THANKS FOR SHARING
also God. This is 99% just a coincidence with zero merit because its such a common gesture- but Ralph and Vanellope doing their thumbs up.. maybe Turbo parallels ?? and like the EXACT same poses too:
Vanellope having one hand on the steering wheel and the other doing a thumbs up while facing the camera.
Ralph hunched over doing the double thumbs up with the visor tinting his face yellow. EXCUSE ME HMMM?? WHAT THE FUCK??
NOW COULD I BE CHERRY PICKING? PERHAPS. but when Turbo has barely a minute of screentime, there's not a lot i can pick from, and things SURE ARE LINING UP... (I'm cherry picking)
SO SHHHHHH... ❤️❤️❤️❤️ LET ME HAVE MY LITTLE CONSPIRASCY

oohh i love ur post-end tord... that guy is not doing well at all!! what r ur thoughts on how hes doing post-end if i may ask? and what r ur thoughts on how the guys r doing post-end if i may ask :3
short answer: not good.
tord just gets angrier and angrier. he lost his arm, his eye, his friends, and even the robot he went back to retrieve in the first place. i think he either A) drowns himself in work creating weapons of mass destruction, or B) becomes so god damn guilty he spends his time working on a time travel device to go back and "fix" everything. nobody knows what exactly he means by that.
the other three don't do well either.
tom may have not liked tord all that much, but knowing how much edd liked him, tom feels conflicted about killing tord (to his knowledge). he doesn't really show it, aside from drinking even more than usual.
edd lost his oldest friend, and always thinks back on how it all went down and what he could've done to change it (much like tord. muahaha the parallels). the most affected by tord's apparent death.
matt lost pretty much all of his stuff... which was a lot. he's a lot more distrusting of people after the end, and regularly mourns his awesome "junk" collection.
..... to be honest, i'm not a huge fan of where the end leaves the characters. part 2 manages to end on a bittersweet note, but it still doesnt really sit right with me. i guess my art takes place in a time where tord comes back for other reasons, and ends up moving back in for real.

lane???? bartylily nun fic please 💳💳
hi laylaaaa i’m twirling my hair…. im a little nervous to talk about this one so um… freaks and weirdos only ig
this is my catholic guilt corruption fic where lily is a young nun who works at a private catholic boarding school. she probably teaches english and she feels really passionate about shaping young minds in the image of god or whatever. she is extremely pious to a detrimental degree. she has locked down all of her human desires, she’s a virgin and plans to stay that way until she dies. [self harm tw upcoming] i imagine she partakes in self-flagellation in probably smaller secret ways when she experiences arousal or has “impure thoughts” or acts in what she deems as an ungodly way. she is pretty brainwashed and she hates herself and loves god but also kinda hates god because of this relationship she has with him. and then there’s barty who was sent to this school by his father (who is probably a big shot politician) for being generally terrible. he’s cut off from the outside world. no phone and only monitored internet usage so he can’t ruin his father’s image further. so yeah he needs something to do to keep himself entertained. and his english teacher is fucking hot. and so he kinda starts playing this game where he tries to get under her skin. which he is extremely successful at because he’s awful. and she probably thinks she should take him under her wing in the beginning. and “save him.” but there is no saving barty crouch jr. as they develop more of a relationship he grows bolder. and he’s making dirty innuendos and then calling her out for her dirty mind when she reprimands him for it. and deep in lily’s mind she is terribly attracted to him and she hates herself for it of course. but sometimes she lets herself indulge with the promise that she’ll punish herself for it later. he’s getting off on how flustered he can make her and eventually she’s letting him touch her… and it completely devolves from there. it’s an interesting power dynamic to explore i think. because barty is truly initiating everything and lily is so hesitant and disgusted by the whole thing until she isn’t. but she is also his teacher. and by participating in a sexual relationship with her student she immediately has some type of upper hand. which i think she would use at some point to punish him for the things he makes her feel. not that he cares really or stops what he’s doing because of it. but it’s a power struggle (more between barty and god if we’re being honest) and it’s mutual corruption really.
so that’s them! this is so fucking long so um. sorry about that but i have many things to say about them… and would be happy to talk more about them if people were interested

ma'am the people want to hear your blocking thoughts it's not something i really paid attention to but then when you mentioned it I can see how that's part of what gives letterkenny it's letterkenny vibes? anyway THOUGHTS
omg SO. okay. I am not the best person to discuss this (i know very little about cinematography and the terms etc that should be used to talk about this) but i am happy to give my thoughts!
So the video that prompted this question is a great example of it,
Just the way that wayne, like, pops up from behind that wooden structure to say his line is hysterical. The screenshots don't do it justice
here are a couple more just from like, the first 2 episodes of the show.
Letterkenny tends to pose its cast in tableau, where everyone sits in the exact same position every time and their shots are very static--they have everyone run their dialogue/bit without much movement from the established positions. I think this is likely a product of this show starting out as an incredibly low budget youtube series that these guys were filming themselves. You would set up the camera to get everyone in the shot, do the scene, move the camera. But from the very beginning they're using these static shots as part of the humor of the series, by framing the characters in unexpected or unnatural ways. (A big favorite of the series is the shot that unexpectedly cuts off the character's face and tbh it cracks me up every time like look at these!)
Even early on, this sort of attention to detail added to the shows appeal. It's evolved over the seasons into its own visual language, that they've kept even as the show's budget increased.
I think it adds to the humor of the show, and it also helps establish the small town repetitiveness of it? Like every time they have a scene at the produce stand, the characters sit in their produce-stand-positions. It really drives home how they do the exact same things every day with the exact same people. The conversations vary, the setting is identical.
Now for an even more meta take on it, I think this stiff and unexpected framing/blocking is related to our stiff and unexpected protaganist. Wayne (jared keeso you're SO fucking funny) always stands the exact same way, he moves very abruptly from one specific pose to another, he always holds the telephone the exact same way, he has specific and repetitive motions he always does in the same order, he's our autistic king and he's the toughest guy in letterkenny! The framing and blocking mimic his body movements, making us view the whole show from his perspective, inside his world. It's so fun <3
look at that center framing wes anderson who?
