Imagine a world where monsters roaming around humans has become a normal thing to the point where interspecies marriages and children happen without anyone so much as doing a double take. It's just how things are. It's how they've been for thousands of years. Maybe they've always been this way, even? Who knows.

But then a great, powerful monster that'd been trapped since before the times of human-monster coexistence awakens and frees itself from their prison. First thing they do? Try to terrorize a human village as revenge and to announce their freedom of course!

But yet, when they do, no one cowers in fear when they demand money and food. In fact, some are worried for them and rushing to treat the uncared for wounds humans made on their flesh all those years ago. Some are even offering whatever money or food they can provide like they were just any other unfortunate soul on the street. They are so kind.

This is not a world the monster once knew. Everywhere they look there are all these kind, unphased faces and it just makes them wonder. Would they have done what they did if this was how people looked at them back then?

on the topic of names (no one was talking about this i am just holding certain topics in my brain at all times) it will never not be weird to me that technically akiteru could also go by the nickname "tsukki" like he could very well also have friends that call him that but like i look at him and it does not compute he's not tsukki, tsukki is tsukki. in a similar vein i don't know when it was i started calling akiteru "aki," because i'm 99% sure he's never called that in canon and tbh i rarely see ppl talking about him anyways but when i do it seems no one else really calls him aki (which maybe makes sense it might be an english nicknaming convention and not a japanese one), but idk i like giving nicknames to people i care about and i care about aki deeply so.

Y’know, I think if I had the death note I would end up using it as a sketchbook

Because at first I’d be way to scared to use it so I’d put it away in my pile of ‘these books must never be used for they are either too expensive or pretty’ until eventually I run out of empty sketchbooks, grab it out of the pile having entirely forgotten what it was and make it my new one

But now the question becomes, what would happen if the death note were to be used like that? Would it kill any characters I draw in it? Or would it simply do nothing
