I animated two different versions. I wasn't able to import the first one (left) correctly because I animated it on Rough Animator, so I just decided to animate it again on Procreate (right). It turned out much easier to do the second time.

A few notes on Pat and Chot's conversation:

🔹Ke (เกย์) is a neutral expression that is the phonetic adaptation of the English word gay.

🔹Tut (ตุ๊ด) is a vulgar and pejorative expression used to refer to a very effeminate homosexual man and can have multiple translations, as sissy, queen, [or in this case: tootsie] etc. 

🔹Je (เจ๊) is a Thai honorific from 姐 for “elder sister”. Chot uses it to refer to himself. Pat later uses it to address Chot.

🔹krap/kha (ครับ / ค่ะ) are gender-oriented particles. Chot uses the traditionally female particle for himself.

It just came to my mind like “what if....” 😳 him having nicknames for MC in Arabic 🥰

Ooh, I definitely think there's a possibility that he could speak Arabic! Honestly, I don't think it's out of the question to assume he knows several languages from the human realm. And in the case he didn't know, I could see him learning either certain phrases (or in this case endearments) or becoming fluent in said language just for you! Like it becomes such a special thing between the two of you.

Okay, had a thought. Imagine Solomon having MC's nickname as their contact, and his phone rings while one or some of the brothers are around. They see his screen but don't recognize the language, so they think nothing of it until Solomon answers with "MC, روحي 🥰" Cut to the brother(s) furiously looking up what the hell he just said on their crappy Akugle Translate to find that this shady bastard just called you his soulmate! Poor Solomon gets quite the earful during and after his phone call.

Anyways, I don't know enough about Arabic to speak for myself, however, I did look up some Arabic terms of endearments and picked ones I think Solomon would be more apt to use for MC! (I hope they are correct 😊)

I'm SO MAD that the metal thing I just finished making is a christmas gift, so I can't show it off yet.

It's one of my favourite things i've made so far. And probably the most technically challenging. And it turned out really cute ugh.

He happens to glance over at Grant at the exact moment the lights come on, and he sees the kid's jaw drop, hears the sharp intake of breath.

Phil glances up at the big tree, suddenly glowing like a fire in the swirling flakes, all warm white lights and oversized decorations, and he knows his smile is as wide and goofy as everyone else's, but then he looks back at Grant. They are standing close in the crowd, coat sleeves almost brushing, but he has gone still, barely breathing.

Grant's cheeks are rosy with the cold, and snowflakes melt on his nose, settle on his knitted cap. He stares up at the town Christmas tree, mouth still open, but even as he watches, Phil sees the boy's lips begin to curve up at the corners. In December snowfall, Phil sees Grant... melting.

The band has struck up a Christmas carol, and people are singing, but it's muffled somehow, fading into the background, as light reflects in Grant's eyes, golden glints in the dark, edged by lacy white catching in his black lashes. His face has gone all soft and shining, like Phil has never seen before; this is no quick laugh, no flash of a smile, this is different.

Phil looks back at the lights, at the little boy in front of them atop his father's shoulders, waving his hands and laughing as he pretends to fall, only to be caught by big mittened hands, set steady again.

A child, yes, that is what he sees in Grant's face! For the first time he sees the child, and he thinks suddenly of the child Grant had been, the little boy hiding and hoping and nursing his bruises, the fists pounding on the door, begging to be let in out of the cold.

An ache in Phil's chest, a wrenching behind his ribs, and he looks over at the teenager whom he cannot hoist onto his shoulders, he cannot carry home asleep in his arms, he cannot save from the demons that dog his steps, but he thinks I would. I would have. I would have saved you, I would have carried you home.

Grant does not seem to see Phil, he is spellbound by wonder, all pretence evaporated in the glow of Christmas lights through snow. And his eyes are wide as a three-year-old's, nothing but light, as if... as if that was all there ever had been.

Grant jumps slightly when Phil's arm comes around his shoulders, but he stills at Phil's husky whisper, "It's beautiful."

A nod, but Phil does not look down, not wanting to see the shadow back on the boy's face. Besides his vision has gone a little blurry. It takes a moment for him to notice how Grant has relaxed, leaning back into him. When he looks down, he can only see part of Grant's face, since the kid's head has come to rest on Phil's shoulder.

I'm here, he thinks of saying. You'll be alright. We can do this. I'll protect you, I'll fight for you. But he doesn’t want words to ruin this, he doesn't think any of that is the right thing to say. So he tucks it away inside, perhaps for another time.

They stand in the crowd, staring at the light shining through the snow, listening to each other breathe through the sound of the people singing.

Kismet

I imagine anyone following this series could probably guess who I was doing next. Yep, it's Utsuro. This one was kind of interesting. I'm not super sure about the markings (they might be a little too complex? still thinking about it) and his hair was a pain to translate into pony form for me. No clue why he gave me more trouble, but I might end up changing that aspect later because it still feels a little off to me. Also, the markings are sort of part of his cutie mark, kind of like how Luna's is. I kinda wanted to give the vibe of his cutie mark being invasive/changing him. Like his coat has been symbolically tainted or burned from it. He always had some spots and freckles, but after he got his mark, the darker markings + patches/shadows over his flanks and legs appeared.

Anyway, let's get into things...

Kismet was an ordinary earth pony who lived with his family somewhere in Equestria. Like most ponies, he was excited to get his cutie mark, and curious about what it would be.

When an oddly foreboding black mark appeared on his flank one day, strangely accompanied by several new markings, at first, Kismet was just as overjoyed as any former blank flank would be.

However, as time passed, it became clear that Kismet's cutie mark was unique, to say the least. Because no matter what kind of trouble came his way, somehow, it would pass him by completely unharmed.

Good fortune and success followed him wherever he went. Kismet prevailed whenever he attempted anything, and those closet to him were often granted the same blessings.

Soon, everypony wanted to have Kismet around. In the beginning, Kismet was happy to suddenly have so many friends. But eventually, he began to realize that nopony wanted his companionship because they cared about him or enjoyed spending time together.

When a team wanted to win an important game of hoofball, they invited him. When his town's mayoral election came around, the two candidates fought for his support. And the few friends and family Kismet had cared about slowly began to treat him differently.

It shouldn't be a surprise, then, that Kismet came to see the mark as a curse. Once he realized the fortune tied to him was the root problem, he tried everything he could think of in order to make it stop. But no amount of bad luck charms or attempts to control it himself affected the endless good luck.

In the end, Kismet gave up entirely. He left his hometown behind, and started covering up his cutie mark and going by various aliases during his travels. (His current being "Sunset Shores," and using a cutie mark belonging to somepony too distant from him to have the identity theft be an issue)

He tried a few times during this period to start new lives for himself. But inevitably, his good luck would start affecting things around him and the ponies he had met. And in the end, the connection would be made between the two, and Kismet would quietly vanish.

Being alone was somehow more tolerable than being lonely while surrounded by others. So Kismet simply drifted from place to place, not making connections, and never allowing anyone to really get to know him.

On a few instances, his path led him to several other outcasts. Ponies who had nothing, were failures, or had nopony to trust or rely on. Kismet couldn't help but see himself in them. And the ways in which his fortune changed those ponies' fates were some of the only times Kismet ever felt anything positive about his mark.

Though after the connection was made, and things began to deteriorate, Kismet would disappear again. The gratitude and reverence was overwhelming. That being said, he never regretted them, and eventually, he came to realize that somewhere along the way, one pony whose path had crossed his was different. There was one pony who he had helped, who had seen what he was, and yet still saw him before any of the rest.

Perhaps that is why she, and she alone, was able to find him again. After traveling halfway across Equestria, the two of them met once more. And so, Kismet no longer travels alone.

Also, above are examples of what it looks like when he covers up his original cutie mark.

Last few notes: Kismet's fortune is probably a little different given the universe and how cutie marks work. It still makes his life miserable but doesn't necessarily completely drag the meaning from everything. At least not quite to the degree divine luck does. Just a *bit* less intense but still a curse.

And there isn't a despair cult, world-ending tragedy, nor any killing games in the works here, so there's that too...
