I'm just going to leave this at that #This was inspired by a dream I had about watching a post-apocalyptic(?) anime movie about two survivors going through their lives #Apologies if that one was yapped before in this blog. Trying to keep repeating statements already mentioned before is a habit I hope to avo #Anyway. It was almost a dialogue-less movie. actually not sure if the characters did say anything #The movie doesn't explain stuff to you. You just got dropped in a world and experience with the main characters for a few days #In the dream after watching that movie I went to Tumblr (naturally. Lol) and theories about it popped out #And there was a connverse cross-over fanart of it. Lmao #One of the main characters was EXTREMELY calm and stoic. And the connverse AU version of it was that's because Steven is in a comma and his #Pink mode activated as a defense mechanism against the creatures around while in such a state. 😭 So Pink Steven from Change Your Mind #And like. Oh? What if he's conscious? He's just watching his body have a mind of it's own and he can't control it? That's kinda terrifying #And of course like most of my dreams about shows I enjoy. I woke up before I could dream more about it. 😵#my shiz #skedoobles #SU #SU AU #also implied Pink Steven I guess #pink Steven #I rage-stopped drawing this because I know what needed to be fixing but the fixing I've been doing isn't fixing it. Lol #I'm specially frustrated with Connie's bangs and eyes. And like. Man. I'm just going to stop it right there before I make it worse.#It does make sense she has a bad haircut given the dream's setting. But it was not decided that was exactly what this drawing is about.#Also I'd imagine Steven to be having a full beard if that was the case.#Anyway enough yapping I have to get some sleep. my capacity to see a bad fandom take and just blithely say 'okay! I disagree' internally and move on because it's not my responsibility or concern that someone else thinks that has leveled up so tremendously over the years. I haven't quite escaped the pit of misery yet but I think I'm getting there

#the ability to say to oneself 'it's okay if you don't agree with me'#(and possibly adding a quiet bitchy 'I can't force you to be right' at the end if you're annoyed enough lol)#at seeing a bad take without ever internalizing it any deeper than that... indispensible.#if someone is really unpleasantly vitriolic or reactive about it I'll just block and move on. and never think about them again #a gift for me and for them I'm sure! but as long as people are being civil I'm getting pretty good at just going 'alright.#I think you're wrong but it's your prerogative to think that. away from me preferably but still'#when I was younger I always felt like a more negative take must be more valid/see something I didn't but over time (and a lot of therapy)#that kneejerk self-doubt is a lot easier to get through. sometimes. people are wrong! to me and my experience. and that's alright #if nothing else understand your own limitations in ever changing someone's mind for them and let it go lol #when I feel the real badfeels at a shitty take now I know it's just because I'm tired and threadbare and need to sleep haha #sometimes mental health progress is sooooo... boring and low-key but also brings so much relief #like doing admin work up here. *sees something so dumb I feel dizzy* file that shit under 'not my problem' and move on chief

there have been many formative video games and pieces of art in general in my life but i am going to make a very bold and intoxicated statement that alan wake 2 was the most critical and relatable and overall resonates with me on a level nothing else does

Ash and May both got growth from their nice rivalries but not what they got from Gary/Drew.#it's different types of growth and lessons and they needed both kinds from different sources. I'd argue the rougher rivalries taught more?#regardless of your opinions on the characters themselves you can't deny that Gary/Paul/Drew/Harley/etc- the rivals that pushed A&M-#had the biggest impact on their growth over the rivals that didn't push. note that 'friends' and 'rivals' are different categories for this #I'm pitting. like. gary and paul against morrison and ritchie and not against dawn or pikachu or brock or whatever. different convo.#but it was growth out of spite to be better than the jackass rival at first and then that CHANGED INTO MUTUAL BETTERMENT #AND WANTING TO BE BETTER ✨FOR✨ AND ✨WITH✨ THEIR RIVAL. OKAY. So, let me get this straight.

Q has so far been consistently shown to protect Ryu at all costs.

Ryu ditches Q at the first opportunity to have a cute little food date with his middle school crush while Q is apparently risking seriously worsening an injury that's already bad enough he can't really play anymore to bail out Ryu, AGAIN.

And I'm supposed to find that romantic?

Because currently all it's doing is making me kind of hate Ryu.

the people on discord promised to do a watch party of only episodes focusing on My favorite character tomorrow and one of them literally just suggested watching an episode in which he doesn't appear at all.

everyone is like "yeah haha cool! I can't wait," and I know the logical assumption is that they just forgot or plan on doing that one and then the character episodes, but the avoidant and autistic parts of My brain are making Me feel like this:

#personal #avoidant brain is going 'they forgot about Me. because they don't care enough about Me. My interests don't really matter to them'#but then I try to be logical and go 'nooo we're still gonna watch the episodes. we watch ~10 episodes per stream #one unrelated episode isn't going to change anything'#but then the autistic part of My mind is just thinking 'THAT'S EVEN WORSE. I hate not being able to engage with My special interests #when I expect to.
