Everyone, immediately: yeah yeah, evil alternate universe Batman, we've all seen it. Good alternate universe Joker??? I mean it's not technically unheard of but it's really not as common, and still a little bit of a new concept. Like, who would ever think the Joker would be the good guy? Especially if Danny mentions he has an evil alternate future self who kills everyone and takes over the world??? Everyone's immediately like, oh yeah that sounds more like what we'd have expected of an alternate universe Joker.

"But don't worry guys I screamed at him and now hes in a thermos outside of time so that universe doesn't exist anymore." <<Danny doing more to protect people from the ""Joker"" than Batman ever did, or so think the JL.

But still, the idea of a good Joker is so strange, people think that Danny's just pretending to not be a horrible person so that they let their guards down and he can set up an evil plan to stab everyone in the back. It takes a while for them to warm up to him. Especially when he brings up weird science haha

I like to think that some Gothamites saw a confused Baby Joker step out of a portal and immediately thought time travel. This must be Joker before he became the clown prince of crime. Quick someone kill it before it becomes more powerful!

But when Joker sees internet videos of a confused Baby Joker stepping out of a portal? 50/50 whether it's fight on sight or a new protege with some good taste. It probably changes from moment to moment tbh. But even if he decides on the latter, he's immediately outraged as soon as Danny takes more of Batman's attention than the Joker does, let's be honest.

"—with this red mask on all the time and new gadgets she steals from Plasmius—yeah the rich vampire guy—cause she used to work with him but now she hates him—" and now they're all convinced she's Red Hood's alternate universe counterpart?

Over time, effects from Danny’s ghost form starts to bleed over into his human form.

His skin gains a deathly pallor. His hair turns white before gaining an ectoplasmic green tinge. When he smiles, it looks just a bit too wide to be human.

He, completely coincidentally, looks a lot like the Joker.

Not that he realized that fact for a while. Sure, Joker’s crimes may make the news sometimes, but it’s not like anyone in Amity Park paid that much thought to a criminal in an entirely different state. The connection just… never occurred to anyone.

Well, that was until Danny ended up in Gotham for [dealer’s choice of reason—college, vacation, runaway, etc]

Because then everyone noticed, and it started to cause lots of problems for him.

Can you tell me a little more about Cross? He's got horns so I assume autumn or winter court? Does he have a guard position under Nightmare, or something else? Is he the trickster type or struggle with that aspect? (Sorry if I'm missing stuff, I'm just so curious about him ;__; )

I'm glad you're enjoying it! I haven't talked much about him yet so you haven't missed anything.

He is part of the Winter Court, and acts as one of Nightmare's top guards. He's a lot more reserved than the other guards, more serious. At least when he's on the job. He's a bit more of a jokester in his downtime.

Cross is another of the sympathetic fae who will try and guide you through the rules of the land. He won't be actively trying to trick you but there are still plenty of ways to be caught off guard by him.

His wings are those of the giant leopard moth (under the cut). The original design was drawn by @moonlightink7, it'll be updated slightly along with the rest of the older designs.

each ninja was a different kind of teacher (except Lloyd who basically went on a year long press tour) and it also explains why Rebooted and after they seem a bit more responsible than in season 1 and the pilot

Cole has my favorite teacher characterization because he's objectively an interesting person with cool hobbies but when he is responsible for a group of children he just becomes Dad Who Is Helping Out At The Summer Camp. we never see his classroom, but given his proficiency in the arts we can assume he's the English teacher

since he went to art schools, he's probably not used to kids who aren't actually interested in what's being taught. the louder kids seem to dislike him (ref: running gag of "Mr Cole is the worst"), but that doesn't mean he's necessarily a bad teacher- just not one to humor pranks

also his and Kai's teacher outfits belong in the 1970s. I like the touch of making their ties the same color as their gis

little bit of meta: most of the people who worked on this show went to school in the 80s/90s so to them "older/boring" teacher outfits would look like this. also, as someone who was in the intended age range and saw it at the time of release, this sort of clothing conveyed that the ninja were doing a stuffy adult job- juxtaposed with their colorful gis

Kai appears to be the history teacher? his teaching style is likely structured and straightforward. given his nontraditional childhood, his frustration with the kids likely comes from both his jealousy that they aren't aware of how valuable schooling is and that Nya was much easier to work with when she was their age. at the end of the day he's an older brother who's now in charge of a bunch of kids

he's using an old-fashioned projector with film, which I assume (1) shows how low-budget they are, (2) emphasizes that Kai is out of his element (pun not intended), and (3) juxtaposes them with New Ninjago City

Zane is the one who doesn't know what a vape pen looks like but will listen to you infodump for an hour after class, then drive/walk you home because you missed the bus. he probably doesn't get any of the classroom humor or notice if the kids make fun of him. I can't imagine him ever getting angry at the kids, and he probably is very good at keeping them to a routine and a schedule

in rebooted episode 1 he seems to be teaching science? and the use of catapults is actually quite endearing- he's probably explaining tension and going to get his kids to make little models, which shows that he both is a pretty good teacher and hasn't realized that giving elementary/middle/primary schoolers their own catapults will only lead to chaos

he and Jay have personality-based outfits, with the snowflakes being an obvious allusion to Zane's element and the zig zags on Jay's emulating lightning

the little bowtie on Zane reminds me of Bill Nye the Science Guy (program with a a host of the same name who taught kids about science in a fun and accessibly way- very nostalgic for kids who went to american public school)

Jay is the exhausted teacher who's more interested in his hobbies than class material, and if you get him talking about that hobby, he won't stop until the bell. as a jokester, I think he'd get along well with the kids and definitely encourage them to annoy the other ninja

we don't see his classroom, but given Jay's skills he's probably the math teacher. he'd have a difficult time explaining things in different ways- very gifted people who learn well on their own often find it hard to teach things to others, though he would make sure he doesn't leave anyone behind

Nya definitely teaches math classes, but she probably handles tutoring as well since she's well-balanced in most subjects. it would also give her an intelligence network- kids come to her room after class/during lunch to complain and gossip. she uses it in the noble pursuit to antagonize the others

▪︎ Axel probably has a sweet tooth, in my opinion !! It's confirmed he likes cake already, so I'm just assuming he likes most other sweet stuff, too !! :3 It'd be cute if he and Jesse's Gang cooked together !! (Whether or not you think Axel is a good cook is up to you, though)

▪︎ I already said this in my Maya and Gill Hc, but I see the Ocelots/Blaze Rods and Jesse's gang kind of as foils to each other !! For Axel, I'd say it's kind of both Gill and Lukas !! Lukas is a "Cool Guy" and seems pretty noncholant, but overall friendly, so he's sort of the opposite of Axel in a way. A trait that Axel and Lukas really share is their absolute loyalty to their friends !! For Axel and Gill, I'd say it's because they're both sort of the pranksters/jokesters of their groups, but Axel is better with damage control on the pranks and stuff and making people laugh !!

▪︎ I feel like Axel jokes a lot to make light of more serious situations and just wants his friends to feel safer in the moment, and to keep them hopeful so that they have the strength to move forward. It's also to help himself feel less afraid and cope with harder situations. He's one of the first people besides Jesse to notice when something is wrong with a friend, like how he is the first to see that Petra is a little different after escaping the Wither Storm. Based on that, he can definitely tell when or not to be joking around. (I feel like a lot of people mischaracterized him as an asshole jokester in early mcsm fandom 💔💔)

▪︎ It seems like Axel and Petra actually have a pretty close friendship, since if you go to Boom Town or save her from the Witherstorm, he'll give her a hug. Petra seems generally more averse to physical contact, so she definitely feels comfortable with him. To me, their friendship consisted of Axel asking Petra about her adventures and missions as a mercenary, and her telling him about it. At first, she might’ve been a little annoyed and tried to shake him off, but she grew to appreciate the little jokes he'd add in, and how willing he was to listen.

▪︎ I feel like Axel and Lukas bonded over being animal lovers !! Axel was meant to get a pet bat, so I'm going to say that's his favorite animal !!

The overpowering smell of mistletoe hits you when you walk into he house, your husband came up with his own plan while you were out. 

Your husband was a romantic.

Most would see him as a jokester, which he was, but under all of that, Andy was the biggest sap you had ever met in your life.

Hence your lack of surprise when you returned home from work to see the bundle of mistletoe hanging over the front door. You smile, unlocking the door to meet the overwhelming smell of mint. Typically, you didn't mind the smell but god, this was overwhelming.

It was as if someone was shoving a mint plant up your nose.

"Andrew!" You shouted from the front door, kicking your shoes off. "What the hell is going on-" you're cut off, your husband's arm wrapped around your waist as he pulls you into a kiss, dipping you in the process.

"Hi beautiful," Andy smiles, letting you go.

You can't help but smile too. "Hi Andy." You gave him another kiss, "why does it smell like that in here?"

He grins, his big brown eyes already getting you to forgive him for whatever he's done. Andy's hand in yours, the man pulling you through the house, stopping under every doorway - there's a bundle of mistletoe hanging.

The living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, garage, basement, storage room, pantry, bedroom, office.

If there was a doorway, there was mistletoe hanging there.

You two were stopped in the kitchen currently, Andy's hands wandering down to your ass as he pulled you flush against him. Your husband kisses you and you feel yourself melt against him, the two of you making out like you were 20 again.

Pulling away finally, your hand rests on his chest. "Did you rob a mistletoe farm? Where did you even get all of this?"

"I bought out the nursery," he smiled proudly.

"How- Andy, what the hell? It's a week to Christmas, how did you manage to get him to do that ?"

It was no secret that the man who ran your local plant nursery was a bit of a scrooge. He was the grumpiest man in town, it didn't matter what you were buying plants or flowers for - Christmas, birthdays, valentines, anniversaries - he was always sour. He did have the freshest and the nicest flowers and plants in all of Liverpool.

"Promised him tickets for the Merseyside derby, he's an Everton fan." Andy makes a disgusted face, causing you to laugh.

"You didn't have to buy out the place, babe. You act as if I don't kiss you."

"what can I say?" Andy smiles, his brows raising in amusement. "I'm a romantic."

Shaking your head, you give him one last kiss. "I'm gonna take a shower, work was exhausting today." "Okay," Andy smiles, letting you go.

Making your way into the bathroom, you turn the shower on to warm up while you take your makeup off and undressed. Again, the smell of mint crept up on you and you can't seem to put your finger on it.

Looking around, you made sure you locked the bathroom door so it wasn't coming from the bundle hung above the door.

Finally, you spot it.

Somehow your husband used all his brain cells to get a bundle of mistletoe hung over the shower, tied on by a ribbon. You were fed up with the mistletoe already and you had only been home for 40 minutes.

Opening the bathroom door, you shout for your husband. "Andrew!"

The second Andrew since you've gotten home, he must really be in trouble. You can hear the footsteps up the stairs, the man holding the door frame as he rushed in, "what? What's going on? Are you okay?"

"What the fuck?" You point to the mistletoe above the shower. "How did you even get up there to put it there?"

Andy ignores your yelling and instead, shuts you up with a kiss.

You let him kiss you, slowly walking back to the shower. You push the door open, the stream bellowing out from behind you as you pull him into the shower, fully dressed, with you.

"Babe," he laughed, his clothes now soaked. "What are you doing?" Your hands slipping under his shirt, feeling the muscles along his torso, the were fabric clinging to your hands.

"I just think," you start, kissing down his jaw to his neck. Andy's head tilts, giving you space. "That I should kiss you," you whispered, moving down to his collarbone and there's the spot you were looking for - a whimper slipping past Andy's lips. "Properly." You tell him, sinking down onto your knees in front of him.

It takes Andy a second to gather himself, as if his brain hadn't caught up to what was happening in front of him.

Once it does, he pulls his shirt off, watching as you undo his pants. He steps out of them, his hand tangled in your hair as your lips wrap around the tip of his cock, tongue circling the tip.

His hand reaches for you to pull you forward. His cock in your mouth, your own hands on his thighs as you feel him push your head down to take all of him.

Noah Czerny propaganda:

"Noah has been dead for 7 years by the time the story starts, and no one knows it. Not even the two friends he literally lives with. They just assume he doesn't eat in front of people and doesn't share classes with them. He was a failed sacrifice to a magic forest and the forest keeps him alive cause his body was left to rot in the forest, and since the forest experiences time differently so does he. He knows a whole bunch of stuff like secrets that haven't been shared and events that haven't happened yet because for him everything happens at once/in a circle. He died as a teenager, so he's kinda stuck in the teenager phase, and he still does dumb stuff like building ramps to drive cars off of. He's described as "less" now that he's dead. It's talked about by people who knew him when he was alive that Noah was cheerful and full of life and joyful and a jokester, but Noah as a ghost is quiet and shy and almost a completely different person because he lost so much of himself when he died.

This next part is confusing, but I'm going to try and explain it as best as possible.

ALSO - MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE BOOKS BELOW - I'M SERIOUS

Basically, 7 years ago, when Noah died, this other guy Gansey, who is one of the main characters also died. Gansey however, was brought back to life by what he thought was a magic king who was buried underground. Gansey spent the next 7 years searching for this king. He was obsessed and he thought it was his duty and his destiny to find the king. Long story short, it turns out the king was actually dead underground and had been dead for a while.

It wasn't the king who brought Gansey back to life - it was noah.

Noah as a ghost went back in time to the moment he died - aka the moment Gansey died - and sacrificed his spirit so that Gansey could live, whispering to Gansey that he was the dead king and therefore setting Gansey on his path to find the king. Because of this, Noah's ghost technically never existed, and Gansey and the others technically never met him, meaning they don't remember him. NOAH GAVE HIS LIFE SO GANSEY COULD LIVE AND I'M NEVER GONNA BE OVER THAT."

"- Noah isn't revealed as a ghost until the end of the book/series

- Most characters are unaware that Noah is a ghost, and when he disappears, they assume that's just a Noah thing

- Noah uses this to his advantage and just fucks off whenever it's uncomfortable or people need him, though sometimes he can't control this

- Noah stays true to Ghosting and permanently disappears at the end of the series

- Got bludgeoned to death with his skateboard I think? might've made that up but i think it adds points for Tony Hawkness

- His death is linked with another character: that character SHOULD have died, but because Noah was murdered at the same time on a ley line, their fates swapped (life/death)

Anyway on a more serious note Noah’s role in the narrative is so cool. At the start he’s very bright and present but as the series continues and he fades from the living world he fades from the narrative too. Depending on where you began the story (quote that’s repeated a lot in the series), it starts with Noah Czerny. Dying on the ley line when he should not, so Gansey lives when he should not. Literally in the end he gets goes back to kickstart the whole story by setting Gansey on the path to Henrietta I love him."

Dear ENTPs,

Man, oh, man, if I could choose to be another type, you better believe it would be you guys! It's not much of a stretch with me being an INTP, but still, your Ne-Ti combo packs quite the punch that I've always admired.

So quick to think on your feet, you come up with novel ideas like you just happened to find them in your back pocket like a lost dollar, or something. Not to mention that they aren't just nonsense ideas, most of the time, they work and make so much sense right off the bat. Sure, they might need a little tweaking to optimize them, but for flying by the seat of your pants 24/7, your unique ideas/solutions to problems never cease to amaze me with how functional they are, even in their infancy.

Not to mention that when you find your confidence, you really wear your thoughts and ideas on your sleeve for the world to see, and you're so unbothered by criticisms. If they're valid criticisms, you'll acknowledge and address them, but you don't take it personally or let it get you down, and it's such an admirable trait of yours! You can be so good at being unequivocally yourself, even if you tend to go against the grain. Sometimes especially if you go against the grain.

You're one of my favorite types to joke with, since you're almost always down the play. Anything random or zany I can think of, you can match my energy instantly and the synergy of our combined humor always leaves me feeling more uplifted than I was before.

Your tertiary Fe makes an appearance every now and then when you find little ways to show that you pay attention to your friends' wants/needs. You are considerate and care about other people more than everyone else thinks you do, partially because your reputation of being a jokester sometimes precedes you, and also partially because you seem just a little reluctant to let that side of you show too much.

It balances out your witty, untouchable persona that you can sometimes assume because it shows that ultimately, underneath the jokes, the brain-storming/think-tanking, the never-ending debating and problem-solving, you do it all with a kind heart and good intentions for all the people around you.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing more of that side of you, but I also realize that it's not your preferred way of interacting with the world around you. If it was, then you wouldn't be an ENTP, would you?

I'd give you advice like "clean your room", or "finish the project you're working on before moving on to the next one", but I don't really think that's necessary. Your mind covers so much ground from day-to-day, that I'm sure you've already considered that stuff. You might have concluded that you could do those things, but you don't need to because you're already functioning well enough with your own methods to your madness. And you'd probably be right! I mean, hey, I'm an INTP, I can relate, you're preaching to the choir. Why fix something that isn't broken, right?

Well, from one xNTP to another, nothing might be broken, but maybe what we really need is the push to acknowledge that while we are doing fine the way we are... we haven't completely reached our maximum potential either, have we? Coming up with new ideas, and switching gears at a moments notice to solve the problems and fit the needs of the current situation is such a gift, but I think we both know that it can be a curse, too. We both can make waves, for sure, but I think we could both learn to move mountains if we made more conscious efforts to finish the things we start and not get bored of them halfway through, or get distracted by a fun, new idea.

You'll never stop thinking of new ideas! Especially in the middle of working on your current project. Write down the new idea so you don't forget it (in as much detail as you need!), then go right back to working on your current project. The new idea will still be there when you're done. You just wrote it down, after all!

Sometimes you might not get the chance to write it down, and you end up losing the new idea forever and you never remember it. And that's a bummer! But even if that does happen, who cares? You're already well underway making progress on your current awesome idea and that needs your attention now more than anything else. And also, you'll think of even more new ideas later that might just be even better than the idea you forgot about. So why waste time fretting about getting started on that next thing before it's too late? We all know you'll come up with something even better later on, anyway. :)

The first thing that comes to mind for Lúcio is that they're really comparable with Venture's energy, so I'd be willing to put money down that they're fairly similar in terms of relationship material as well.

You have someone who is more on the extroverted side, so he'd probably take you out more often than Venture would. Dates to the record shop, roller skating, movie premiers, concerts with back stage passes, fancy and expensive restaurants with extra souped up food. Or even just a casual date to the local smoothie place while the two of you watch football. Or he teaches you about it, if you don't know much.

Rave dates are frequent. I'd expect to be moving from the dance floor to his DJ booth a lot, since you're the only one allowed up there besides himself. You're a little star at his parties for sure!

Would definitely make you playlists like... every day lmao, for every different occasion. You have a soundtrack for your life now. He also has a varied taste in music and doesn't consider anything to be "bad", just different. He knows about every top 40s star, every upcoming singer songwriter, new bands on the scene– he's a walking talking version of Spotify and Shazam basically. The good news is that whatever you like, he'd more than likely also enjoy, too.

He's big on sharing, so don't expect to experience anything without him, either. It's like the equivalent of sharing your friends earbuds on the bus? Except, he definitely has the technology have background music playing for literally everything you two do. It's not like playing it on your cellphone– it's surround sound, 8k type audio. Like a walking lofi beats radio 24/7.

But sharing hoodies, sharing headphones, sharing food, sharing a bed– you name it, it's yours. He'd order a strawberry milkshake with a shared heart straw just for the two of you, then let you drink it all because he's just that type of guy.

If you can imagine Careless Whisper every time he cracks a silly joke... that's basically his personality lmfao. I can see him being a huge jokester. Probably not a practical joke type of person, though. Definitely a meme person. Especially Kermit. He loves sending you memes late into the night because he knows it'll make you smile.

If you're a more introverted person then he'd just invite you over whenever he wasn't busy. Watching him create an album is more fun than anything on television, it's like watching a Disney movie being animated and come to life? It's mind blowing.

On the cuddle scale I'd say he ranks about an 8– he loves cuddles and loves being cuddled, preferring to be the smaller spoon because of his height (FUN SIZED). Though he'd never mind holding you if you'd like to be on the opposite end for once.

Literally impossible to make him mad. There's never any arguments or disagreements, he's good with his words and communicating when something feels off.

On the sexual side of things... he gives me HUGE bottom vibes, but because he wants you to feel comfortable he'd also be willing to top if that's what you wanted. Not big on things like degradation or humiliation, but really loves praise and body worship. Even during intimacy he retains such a sense of wholesomeness, he's all about asking how you're feeling and what feels the best to you. Communication is as big as consent to him. Otherwise, he's open to trying most of everything so long as it doesn't involve intensive bodily harm.

There would also be music playing for sure. There's never NOT music playing when you're around him. In fact, you should be WORRIED if it's quiet when he's nearby lololol

If you want EXTRA DETAILS then I'd say he's on the bigger side. 6 1/2 inches– maybe even 7– uncut and he keeps it relatively well trimmed (unlike Venture lmao) but not entirely free of hair. I visualize a piercing of some sort, too. A frenum specifically.

So in The Amazing Digital Circus, It seems like all the humans have 'avatars/bodies that somewhat correspond to their personality (From what little we've seen)

Ragatha is an old Rag doll, a toy from someone's childhood, and she's seemingly the most forwardly kind and caring of the Circus. She gives Pomni actual advice on how to survive and cope with being in the circus, her first line being "Let's just try to calm down, everything is going to be fine" Like one might imagine their toy telling them when they are frightened.

Jax is a rabbit. Jax is also a JackAss, but because there's no swearing in the Circus, it likely 'Autocorrected' to Jack Rabbit. not only that, but his Bugs-Bunnian attitude and shenanigans shine brightly in how he acts. (Now, Jax is mean, but I don't know that he's evil. But he is mean)

Kauffmo, from what little we know of him, was a Jokester. Ragatha and Gangle both referencing not finding his jokes funny (Ragatha Laughing to make him feel Better, Gangle not.) Being a clown would make sense for someone who wants good-hearted fun, unlike Jax.

Gangle, while we don't have much of her, seems to have something wrong separate to being in the circus? This one is definitely a stretch, but maybe Gangle has something similar to BPD? With Tragedy representing Depression and Comedy representing Mania? or She's literally masking her sadness for others?

I only have one Idea of what Zooble's deal could be, but given their heavy "Mean (Girl)" Vibe, it could be a center of attention thing?

I don't know, we're theorizing here.

Now, for Kinger and Pomni, who seem to have the most connection.

Pomni is a Jester. Not a clown, A jester, which are very different. Clowns make fools of themselves to get other's to laugh. Jester's were employed by Royalty for entertainment, to jest.This gave them impunity to speak freely about whatever subject matter may be at hand.

Pomni, the latest addition, has the clearest sense of the outside world has the freedom to speak freely about the circus, likely in part of not being used to the circus.

Kinger, who has been in the circus longest and is the oldest, is the least attached to reality, often blanking out and reacting slowly to what happens to him. In spite of this, He seems to be the most technically knowledgeable about the goings on of the circus

Insect Collection -> The Gloink Queen acting as a Queen Bee (Eating things and making more of their species)

He knew Kauffmo was going Crazy/had gone crazy talking about an exit before the reveal.

At the end he talks about how the food wasn't actually being eaten, only giving the feeling of being eaten.

There was also the "Queener" door that was crossed out.

Kinger seemingly is smarter than he's let on, and as much as Caine can't directly affect people's minds, he can give them experiences.

And, assuming Kinger did make the Circus (with help given the complexity of what it would take to program the Circus,) He would have the greatest likelihood of survival, since he would know how the world worked unlike pretty much any one else, only turning paranoid after years of survival and losing others.

Pomni and Kinger, the newest and Oldest residents, a Jester and a King, the most grounded and most out there.

I'd be willing to bet Pomni will get Kinger (If he's the creator) To get them all out of the circus and back into the real world.

Of course we are only one episode in, and I could have missed somethings, either said by the creators or a line I'm forgetting about.

I don't watch trailers as a rule (why yes, I do want a cookie and a pat on the back for that), so I don't know if what I considered film spoilers were true spoilers or if they were already shown in the trailers. I do know I couldn't avoid some spoilers on Twitter, but thankfully DEADPOOL AND WOLVERINE is so much more than the spoiler moments.

But that is a topic for another day. Today is all about DEADPOOL AND WOLVERINE, which, to me, is the best DEADPOOL. Yes, it's full of fan service. When is fun a bad thing?

When is whimsy a bad thing? What helps the film to not be mired in a quip a'thon was Hugh Jackman's continued grounded portrayal of Logan. I think the film would have been very annoying, if he wasn't the emotional ballast of the piece.

And yes, there is a post-credit scene, but it's not important.

WHAT I LOVED

-My favourite part wasn't a part of the storyline, but during the credits when they ran a salute to the Fox Marvel films by showing clips of the film and behind-the-scenes footage (including Miles Teller from the cursed FANTASTIC FOUR film) with Green Day's "Good Riddance" (Time of Your LIfe) playing underneath it. Schmaltzy, yes, but an effective tip of the hat to what came before.

-The fourth wall break where Deadpool says the last great multiverse film was THE WIZARD OF OZ, then fast track to the end where Wolverine is told by B-15 that he can't change the past and it's because of the past he's the man who was able to save the timeline. Like Dorothy, it was in him all along.

-Hugh Jackman giving a much needed weight to the film. 5 credited writers, including Ryan Reynolds and it could easily have gone amiss. I'm all for actors feeling like they know their characters well enough to write for them or feed lines to their writers, but actors get carried away by getting too enamored with their performance or pleasing the audience, so you have Reynolds providing a joke every 2.5 minutes and then you are hit with Jackman's earnestness in conveying Logan's pain and anger (at Deadpool and himself). I'm glad they kept the depiction of Logan as it always have been and not try to make him a jokester and match Deadpool's energy.

-Emma Corrin was an excellent villain. It took so long to get to Cassandra Nova, that I honestly forgot Corrin was the big bad. Corrin was very effective as the extremely formidable Cassandra. They're such a powerful character that could easily destroy Wade and Logan, but I didn't mind how they hamstrung their ability because I liked seeing Corrin onscreen.

And they talked about the thing! The elephant in the womb room!

-The cameos: I was spoiled about Cavill's appearance and Chris Evans', but Evans' was a misdirect. I assumed he would be Cap, but when he said, "Flame on!", the theater went crazy. I think I even shouted.

No disrespect to new Johnny Storm Joseph Quinn, but we had a 10 and now we're getting a literal 4.

I had already seen interviews with Aaron Stanford who reprised his role as Pyro and saw Dafne Keen promoting the film

, saw pictures of LOKI's Wunmi Mosaku at the premiere,

so I knew she would pop up in the film and since I knew it was a multiverse story, I knew the TVA was involved. Extremely and pleasantly surprised by the other X-Men universe characters and by Jennifer Garner and Wesley Snipes,

Though isn't the fact that Ryan Reynolds was in a BLADE film another ding in the timeline?

but it's Channing Tatum's Gambit that thrilled me. He willed that fcking depiction into existence! And the jokes about Remy's heavy Cajun accent just made it all the better.

One cameo that didn't happen? Reynold's co-Wrexham owner Rob McElhenney being cut.

WHAT I HATED

Why does Marvel always give things away. Invite Mosak, Keen and Stanford to the premiere, but don't let them walk the carpet (Dafne Keen has said there was talk of her walking the red carpet but telling people she was Hugh's plus one, then they made the decision to let the cat out of the bag.) Don't put them in promos. I would have have been more effective to me if it were a complete surprise. While not Marvel/Disney, it reminds me when I saw LOGAN and was shocked that Laura had adamantium  claws. After seeing the film I watched the trailer and was shocked that it's revealed in the trailer!

Same with AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR. I went to a test screening of it and when Peter introduces himself to Doctor Strange and says the line about using made up names, the line killed. I couldn't even hear what was said next because everyone was still laughing. They put that scene in the trailer. It would have been a great scene to watch unfold while watching it. So, seeing Laura/B-15 and Pyro was diminished because I knew they would be turning up, but great to have them back all the same.

THE REST

-Gone, but not forgotten. Stan Lee had two cameos - his image on the side of a bus before the Deadpool variants scene, and pops up in the behind-the-scenes clip.

-Another shout out to a creator- this time Rob Liefeld. The shoppe that Deadpool and Wolverine were thrown into during the fight was named Liefeld's.

-Great needle drops, though they butchered "Bring 'Em Out" with the Avengers, or maybe it was X-Men sting. Just let that song be great.

Matthew Macfadyen was excellent, very fun. He brought the laughs even without a ludicrously capacious bag.

I can't get over s8 Garm literally growling with every breath almost animalistic in the way he moves and speaks unable to be patient or communicate whats going on with him because he's adjusting to ONLY HALF OF HIS SOUL BEING BROUGHT BACK, THE OTHER HALF RIPPED FROM HIS VERY PSYCHE, VS. S9 Garmadon being So Fucking Exhausted that he literally does not have the energy to feel or care about Cole dying or anything other than their goal right now. He's so subdued. The differences between him and Lord Garmadon make me insaneeee Lord G is so flamboyant but responsible and he's a jokester he loves monologuing and Emperor G... Hes so subdued. He doesn't talk much at all. He sort of just walks around disassociating. He doesn't smile anymore. Lord G ALWAYS had that mischievous smile on, and so when Lloyd watches Emperor G wear it for 2 seconds he assumes that it means the same thing. But his father's body language is different now because he's a different person, so it doesn't. He doesn't even have the same mannerisms anymore. God. I'm insane about him.

After the tournament, I could see him going to the Wyldness since that's where Ras said he was from. I feel like he'd just wanna find more answers about his past, you know?

Maybe he runs into some people who recognize him as the lightning ninja, but Jay just assumes they recognize him as a warrior from the Wyldness

I kinda like the idea of him trying to fight bad guys, but he goes about it in a not so good way. We only see him use shatterspin once and we don't know if he's done it before that moment, but I think it's safe to say his goodness isn't completely shattered at this point

Maybe the Administration tries tracking him down but then Jay just beats them up because he doesn't want to go back to corporate hell

I think it would be neat if his personality still stayed similar to the Jay that we know, just with some edge to it. Like he's still a jokester and kinda lazy sometimes but he's also more ruthless and just flat out mean to people because of the effects of shatterspin

hai :3 i enjoy reading ur thoughts so i wanted to ask a few questions 😌 do you keep a list of fangans you want to check out, or do you just decide on a whim? what makes you interested in checking out certain fangans and deters you from others? what keeps you invested? personally i find dialogue super important, like even if the plot is lacking could look past that if the characters interact with each other in a charming way.

on a whim! lately its been via youtube recommendations and those Ranking Fangans lists in the tumblr tags lol.. i also went and checked out each dtdev has posted about because i was like Oh this persons made a good story i trust their taste in stories. (and then i ended up hating shattered hope...ah well)

what i've been really trying to do is just see what's out there and what people are making; i'm interested in what creative things people do with the dr format and what love letters and fan projects can look like from different folks :) when i mention what ive been up to to my friend i call it my "youtube trawl". im on a fangan tour studying them. for that reason i try my best to at least give a chance to all i can find and not skip over anything just based on looks

as for what could make me sick of one and drop it/what draws me into it... "atmosphere" feels like such a non answer but thats what comes to mind first LOL. im very charmed particularly by amateur art and good stories told through rudimentary media! so i generally have a big soft spot for less polished things. i get very endeared to them so thats something that draws me in. hmmm i like examinations of things from mainline dr done in different ways, and new and different stories that Are technically in the format but it's actually a very thin skin. i like creativity!!! and trying to figure out what something'll mean as a piece of the overall story & theming is exciting, so good hooks are important. (i mean characters and what they represent here, i'm very much not a plot theorizer lol i just like to ride it out and see what is given to me)

i suppose it must be the characters that really get me. concepts interactions and designs.. im a character guy! as shallow as it feels one of the first things that draws me into something is if the designs are cute or interesting and it can put me off if i dont like them.... agreed on the dialogue! if i like the interactions a lot and the chemistry of the group i can think Oh im a fan of the characters even if not necessarily the whole work and if i dont its very difficult for a good plot to save it for me. as ive mentioned a few times i cannot stand flirting or smug jokesters thats a big thing. whit almost made me drop drdt haha i was grumpy the day i began it and he really made me see red at the start

content i think is distasteful obviously also has an impact. i got to the "little sister for hire" character in antebellum and immediately clicked off because i suspected it wouldn't be handled delicately and i did not want to see that. and i quit F because i did not want to see someone force themselves onto the protag, plus i found the use of body art on grisp as what i assumed to be a visual shortcut for "wild naturalistic mystical guy" really inappropriate. i think the sister complex joke put me off hd as well.. and of course ta has made some insane choices (ch1 brownface??????) maybe im too cautious but i just dont generally have the patience to continue through that sort of thing these days. But im sure that makes sense

i am also picky about line delivery - -; i like naturalistic conversational tone and i tend to start feeling like broad deliveries are chewing the scenery really quickly. and i have a sensitive ear to when i wouldve articulated something differently.. But this wouldnt ever make me drop anything- im not the director after all so its not my say how lines are read and vas do wonderful work ! and it means when im wowed by voice work im REALLY wowed. one person that ive noticed has a really wonderful sense for script analysis, or at least consistently reads how i would, is the voice of hu :) veronika's excellently done too her giggle is perfect
