Idk if this is controversial or whatever but I think Vanessa is a seriously underdeveloped and underused character in the movies and I don’t think they should’ve fridged her in the second one

Can I please request a reader that has been so traumatised by what’s happened in the Scarabia book that they actively avoid the entire dorm and have Ace and Deuce as their guard dogs (I love those two and I really love how you wrote them as the readers protective besties during the Malleus break up fic). Like how would Kalim, Jamil and Adeuce react to that?
I find it really cathartic when I read fics that have the characters feeling guilty after what they put the reader through whilst the reader is getting support from their friends.
(Something I’m really salty about in twst is how no one ever holds the overblots accountable for what they’ve done. I full on agreed with Ace when he told Riddle that crying wasn’t going to erase all that he did before the overblot and I literally fell in love with him when he punched Riddle after he insulted us/Yuu/the player. I understand that those boys are traumatised and are in desperate need of therapy and overblotting was the only way for their problems to be solved but the treatment they inflicted on Yuu/us was downright hellish. Azul made us homeless and tore us away from the only family/comfort we had in twst (the ghosts) and then sent the tweels to terrorise us in our attempts to reclaim said home and free our friends from servitude; Jamil kidnapped us, hypnotised us, locked us up in a room against our will, isolated us from Adeuce and took away any contact we had with them, forced us on long marches in the dessert and turned a blind eye to our clear suffering during that time; Vil acted like a literal demon to not only us (and then almost made my Deucey cry) but everyone else as well and that was before he decided to try to murder an innocent teenager. Like why does no one understand just how much this can damage an actual child who has no magic and has been stripped from their home and family?)
Reader Terrified of Scarabia After Jamil’s Overblot
TW: PTSD; Mental Breakdown; Disassociation; Mentions of Abuse; Kalim and Jamil are tragic
Info: Ace, Deuce x Reader (platonic or romantic); Kalim, Grim x Reader (platonic); Jamil and Reader (neutral)
🍓I love requests like this tbh. My own OC sorta has her own grapplings with this stuff that I like to touch upon, and I’m excited I get the chance to talk about it here :) THIS IS LONG AS HELL BTW(like this intro here lol). I had a lot of fun writing it :))) I added a cute, shorter little grim part, because our little guy deserves more lovin’ than he gets. I also decided to do a cute little (read: long) intro, and then head cannons since you didn’t specify for either. I hope you enjoy this style, and I’m sorry for the wait <3
You had been through… a lot in your time at Night Raven College. Being thrown into a completely different world would’ve been enough, but it seems that the great seven thought you needed some extra troubles. You weren’t sure how you could’ve encored their wrath, but you were, and you were chugging along despite it all.
First was the attack from the phantom in the mines — something that should’ve been foreshadowing for what was to come. You didn’t even do anything to be in this position. It was Ace Grim and Deuce, but you got dragged into it all because you were “Grim’s keeper.” You managed to befriend Ace and Deuce though, so it wasn’t so bad.
Second was Riddle with his unending temper and strict rules. Despite everything telling you to just stay out of it, your good-natured heart just couldn’t stop you from helping Ace and Deuce. Nearly dying in the process, you managed to help Riddle and made newfound friends in Heartslabyul.
Third came Leona, the selfish, stuck-up, lazy no-good prince of the Savannah. You knew he was trouble from the start, and you wanted nothing to do with him or his little lackey Ruggie. Then he hurt Trey, and you couldn’t stand by while he reigned terror on the school. He was a favorable ally to gain in the end, so you could dismiss his actions so long as he kept in his lane.
Fourth was Azul, another student you figured would cause you trouble. With the extra scary Jade and Floyd always tailing him, and that too buttery sweet voice of his, you were determined to keep your distance. Again, however, your friends were in trouble and you couldn’t help but help them. Azul was a broken person, and you could sympathize with his struggles. He even gave you a job at the lounge to help with funding yourself, so he couldn’t be all that bad.
You’d come to dislike the other house wardens out of principle. A pattern had emerged among them, and you weren’t going to fall victim to another horrific overblot. You still had suction cup-shaped bruises on your arm from Azul’s breakdown. Leona had given you more than just a nasty burn from the scalding hot whirlwind of sand he conjured up. The scars Riddle left behind on your face and arms were healed, but they still ached when you touched them. All painful reminders that you could not truly trust anyone here, that anyone could lose control of themselves and hurt you. Yet…
When you met Jamil in the kitchen, he seemed so kind to both you and Grim. He seemed so genuine and honest. Maybe it was wishful thinking, or maybe it was you missing your friends, but you wanted to trust him despite your gut feeling to be distrustful. Could everyone here really be that bad? Certainly not. Ace Deuce and Jack went here as well… so surely… surely…
The alarm bells didn’t ring at all during the dinner, and Kalim — despite everything you’ve been through — seemed so nice, if not a little overbearing. You could see the tiredness on Jamil's face, and you had the kindness in your heart to express your sympathies. And oh, Jamil so humbly assured you that he was fine. Filling your head with little half-truths and ideas that Kalim had been overworking not only him but the other students. That he had been acting “off” as of late.
You saw Kalim’s sudden shifts in personality. How he would be so sweet, so kind and soft. How he made sure you were enjoying yourself, made sure you ate to your heart's content, made sure you were comfortable in your uniform and your sleeping quarters. Then he would be yelling at everyone, demanding unspeakable exercises and work.
If Ace were there with you, he would’ve called bullshit. Still, you trusted Jamil to start. You actually believed he was kind and had good intentions. You believed that Kalim was the real evil here.
Then he wouldn’t let you and Grim leave, and the students were suddenly so aggressive toward you. He took everything you had and stripped you of your dignity and pride until there was nothing left but fight.
Truly, you didn’t realize it was him that was the issue until he was over-blotting in front of your eyes. It wasn’t an unusual sight to you at that point, you’d defeated multiple overblots and befriended these people. You don’t know what it was. The way you’d trusted him. The fact that you felt truly alone without Ace and Deuce. This one broke you…
You just didn’t feel a damn thing after he was saved. You felt no pity, no joy, no relief. Absolutely nothing, an empty void in your chest. Even as everyone around you celebrated, there was nothing. You stood watching everyone parade around with glee blankly, unable to speak to anyone around you. Just listening to the voices that had begun to mesh together.
You didn’t show anything until Ace and Deuce showed up. Something about their faces, the way they were looking over you, the way they seemed so scared for your wellbeing… it made you cry. It made you cry and cry and cry until you couldn’t make any noise and then you cried some more. They had to drag you away from everyone because you just couldn’t quite stand upright when Deuce would try to get you to walk away with him…
The days after were blurry. You remained holed up in your dorm, unable to really move from your bed. Ace and Deuce stayed in their own separate room next to yours. You could hear them talking through the walls about how worried they were about you, how angry they were at Jamil, how angry they were at themselves for not getting there in time to help you. If you’d had the energy, you would’ve scolded them for being so hard on themselves, but you could hardly speak in the first place.
They cared for you as best as they could. Deuce attempted to cook the recipes Trey sent him over magicam, making sure you ate and stayed hydrated. Occasionally you’d hear Azul downstairs, and Deuce would give you something nice from the Monstrolounge — free of charge, he promised. You could tell that he wasn’t sleeping much in his worry over you.
Grim remained at your side as loyal as a dog and boasting that he’d keep you safe, but you knew he was scared too. He proclaimed that he would keep you safe, but you could feel him trembling at every sudden noise. You had to comfort him from the horrific nightmares he was having. That was okay, though, he was family and you were his.
Ace was the only one who really kicked your ass into gear. He’d tug you out of bed and into the shower as people began to return from winter break. Made you go on walks around campus to show you that you were completely safe. Eventually, he’d been able to get you to visit Azul to thank him directly for his kindness. He wasn’t soft or gentle with you, that wasn’t in his character at all, but he made sure you felt safe enough to return to classes before they started.
They both worked hard to help you recover, but you were still so afraid…
Ace
-Ace isn’t exactly the most comforting person, and he never claimed to be.
-He’s not good at reassuring people, but he’s good at being honest, and if he was being honest he knew that you were safe around him and Deuce.
-He walks you to and from classes, spends most of his nights in your dorm doing whatever the hell you’d like him to do without complaint, distracts you when you’re freaking out, and most importantly keeps that snake as far away from you as possible.
-If he was being honest with himself, which was his whole thing, he didn’t really get your reaction to everything.
-You’ve all been through this before, it's textbook at this point. A guy does some shady shit, a guy gets caught doing said shady shit, a guy overblots, and you defeat a guy with the power of friendship. Boom. Done.
-He’d get it more if you were completely alone, but grim and the octanivelle freaks were there! Kalim too, and he’s always seemed pretty nice. Not the best company, sure, but still you had people helping you out.
-When he looks at your face and sees how tired you are, he forgets the logical stuff. All he can hear are those horrific sobs you let out when you saw him and how you nearly ripped his uniform in half with how tightly you were holding him and Deuce.
-If that was too much for him, he can’t imagine how badly it must’ve felt for you. How bad it must still feel.
-So screw what he thinks, he’s gotta make sure you’re taking care of yourself.
-He doesn’t ask you how you’re feeling, he knows it's not good. He focuses on keeping your mind off of everything that might trigger you.
-Reroutes your paths to classes to avoid Jamil and Kalim completely. Sure it’s longer and more annoying, but it's better than you going dead silent and shutting him and everyone else out again.
-He does everything in his power and you’re doing so well… and then the VDC happens.
-You’re given the title of manager and you’re forced to be around these people who terrify you.
-Vil won’t budge on anything and sevens Ace wishes Rook would let him try out a little target practice with the (illegal) bow and arrows he’s got in his room.
-He keeps himself between you and Jamil at all costs. He won’t let Jamil bother you at all, not that he was trying in the first place.
-The real issue is Kalim, which sounds crazy, but it’s true.
-Kalim is so… forceful. A pretty strong word, but honestly the only one Ace can think to use.
-He’s really nice, really sweet, seriously such a good guy… but you’re still unsettled by him.
-There are several times during practices that Ace has to yell at him to just leave you alone.
-Sure, it gets him a pretty big scolding from Vil, but he couldn’t care less honestly. He doesn’t wanna risk you having a panic attack because Vil doesn’t wanna be a responsible leader.
-You confide in Ace a lot. How you really want to move past all this, but Crowley won’t provide you with any form of therapy, and you’re just not ready to forgive Jamil or Kalim for what happened.
-He won’t tell you this, but hearing you talk like this breaks his heart.
-You’re normally so strong, so brave, so confident… and now you’re absolutely broken.
-He’s proud of you for putting on a brave face to placate Vil, but he’s angry you have to.
-Surprisingly, though, you do begin to warm up to Kalim. Just a little.
-It's only when Ace, Deuce, or Grim is around, but it's a really big step forward in his eyes.
-You’re getting back to where you used to be little by little.
-He still won’t give you or Jamil the chance to reconcile, but you honestly couldn’t be more grateful for that.
Deuce
-Deuce is incredibly different from Ace in how he handles everything.
-He’s a delinquent, sure, but he’s a Mama’s boy at heart. Therefore, he’s much more equipped to help you emotionally through all this than Ace.
-Where Ace is the harsh pushing force to keep you going, Deuce is the calm where you can rest and cry your heart out for as long as you need.
-As I mentioned, he makes sure you’re eating and drinking and at least speaking to someone.
-He asks Trey for recipes without leading on to what’s going on and asks Cater for advice on helping someone feel safe after a traumatic experience.
-It’s not subtle, but it helps.
-He handles making all your meals, even though he isn’t the best cook, he absolutely puts all his heart and soul into everything he makes.
-A good portion of his days are dedicated to cooking for you, and he gets pretty damn good at it by the time classes start up again!
-With Sam’s shop closed, he has to go into town to get the ingredients he needs, and then he has to spend hours preparing and serving the food.
-He watches you eat, encouraging you that everything is safe and that he made it all by himself by hand.
-He doesn’t question why things ended up this way for you, he wonders how can I help?
-And he does help, a lot, more than just with food.
-Sometimes, late at night, he hears you crying alone in your room. He gets up from his own bed, quietly enters your room, and holds you and grim while you both tremble in fear.
-It makes him so mad. Mad that this happened to you. Mad that Jamil did this in the first place. Mad that he couldn’t help more than he already is.
-Like Ace, he accompanies you to all your classes and makes sure to stay close to your side if any Scarabia students are around.
-He’ll go anywhere you need him to, and if you’re not comfortable being alone and he’s got plans, you’re invited to join him. No matter what anyone else thinks.
-Things get better little by little. You make strides in your ability to be independent again and you’re smiling and joking around like you used to. You even agreed to try out for the VDC with him and Ace… a big mistake.
-He didn’t expect to actually get in, let alone get in with Jamil and Kalim. If it were just that he could’ve been civil, but no, you had to be dragged in too… because that’s always how it works out.
-He has to hold himself from getting in Jamil’s face more than once because just him looking at you is enough to send you into a clear panic attack.
-Deuce does his best to comfort you between all of this, though. Being your shoulder to cry on and trying his best to be your protector… it's just hard. Hard to see you like that, and hard to keep his cool for your sake.
-It's worse with Kalim because both you and Deuce know he means well. You both know he wants to reconcile, but you’re not quite ready.
-Deuce helps the confrontation with the two feel a bit easier though. He acts as a mediator between you and Kalim, and eventually, he’s proud to say he helped you trust Kalim just a little bit.
-Jamil… both of you could use some work, but Deuce is more willing to hear you out on him than Ace is.
Grim
-Grim was there with you the whole time. He understands the fear you’re feeling deeper than anyone else.
-He could just tell something was wrong the second he saw your face. Despite all the celebrations, he was focused on making sure you were at least a little okay.
-He tried to talk to you, tried to make you feel okay, but the only comfort he could offer you was letting you hold him while you cried.
-He could still hear your cries, and they made him want to cry too. He almost did, but he was your guard cat — he had to be strong for you.
-Unlike Ace and Deuce, he never left your side. Not a second. He was there with you from the moment you were unwittingly kidnapped to the sleepless nights in your dorm to the horror of finding out you’d have to work closely with Jamil for the VDC.
-He made his distaste for him very known, sure to make a snarky comment at least once every time he saw him.
-It was so bad, at one point, that Vil had to give him a stern talking to. He didn’t stop regardless.
-You are Grim’s best friend, the only family he has, and Jamil hurt you in unspeakable ways. He couldn’t just sit back and be okay with that.
-He’s really such a good guy.
Kalim
-Kalim means well. With his whole heart, he has the best intentions… just not the best execution.
-See, he didn’t notice initially that anything was really wrong the whole time.
-He didn’t suspect Jamil at all. In fact, he thought that you were really enjoying your stay in Scarabia, you seemed so happy and chatty up until Jamil flipped things on their head.
-Call him air-headed, but he was caught up in his own whirlwind of emotions at the time. You know, the whole betrayal of his supposed best friend took a toll on him too.
-It wasn’t until you were sobbing your throat raw that he realized something was really wrong.
-The look of sheer terror on your face when you made eye contact with him sent shivers up his spine.
-He knew that look. He’d worn that look on his own face too many times as a young child.
-Believe it or not, without Jamil’s intervention, he knew to keep his distance. He knew he had to give you time to adjust.
-Then a few days turned into weeks and weeks turned into a little over a month, and he had hardly seen you around campus.
-You are avoiding your normal route to class, and when he did see you he was also greeted by the harsh glares of your good friends.
-He understood if you’d never want to talk to him ever again, honestly. He couldn’t blame you. You were more headstrong than him, after all.
-Still, when the VDC came around… he was hopeful. Truly he was hoping that something would give.
-He would talk to you in hopes of showing you that he meant no harm, but Ace or Deuce or even Grim would shove their way between the two of you.
-Several times Jamil had to tell him to knock it off because “It’s not worth forcing.”
-Still, he wanted you to know he felt bad. He felt horrible.
-In a very un-Kalim-like move, he quietly asks you if you can speak with him. Alone. But in a crowded enough area that you wouldn’t feel threatened.
-He didn’t expect you to accept it, he wouldn’t have blamed you at all. But you said yes.
-You showed up, with Grim by your side, which was fine. He earned some apologies too.
-He poured his heart out to you, apologizing for things that he couldn’t even control. In turn, he listened to you rant about how scared you were, how angry you were, how you wished you were any of these things.
-And after that, things improved. Slowly, but surely. You became more comfortable around him, and you spoke to him again.
-Sure, you wouldn’t be caught dead at one of Scarabia’s parties, but you considered him a friend.
-That’s all he could ask for.
Jamil
-Jamil is the monster in your story.
-He’s the evil guy who kidnapped, manipulated and lied to you.
-He’s the one who used his misplaced anger as an excuse to hurt others.
-He’s the boogyman who made you endure days of long and hard training, just because he could.
-Of course, he felt bad. What he did was unspeakable, but he was more concerned with how his reputation would last after the overblot.
-More concerned with it not getting out for the safety of his family.
-Even with you sobbing, he just thought you were being dramatic in all honesty. You have a reputation already, he knew you’d been through this whole thing before.
-It didn’t really strike him how badly it affected you.
-He didn’t notice how you switched paths, how you were never in the same area as him for long, and the glares of your friends never once phased him.
-Even Ace’s snarky comments during basketball didn’t bother him for a second.
It wasn’t until he accidentally bumped into you in the hallway, and he saw the look on your face that he realized.
-The terror in your eyes, the way you shrunk back as if he would strike you. It was the same way his parents acted around the Asim’s.
-If he were a more insane man, he might’ve found it liberating, but it wasn’t.
-He had become what he hated to you, he had done what he hated to you.
-Jamil was not only your monster, but he was his own.
-He steers clear of you and keeps as much distance as possible for both your sakes.
-He couldn’t handle someone looking at him like that, and he was sure you couldn’t handle the sight of him after what he did.
-Still, this is NRC, and luck is never on anyone's side here.
-Both of you are forced into a position where you cannot escape the other, you have to learn to live with the awful pits in your stomachs.
-He keeps Kalim away until you both are on good terms, then he simply watches quietly.
-He won’t apologize, he won’t antagonize, he won’t speak unless spoken to.
-You two never truly recover your small lasting friendship, but you do make amends with each other.
-During the trip to the scalding sands, you get to meet Najma, whom he’s confided in about ‘accidentally upsetting a classmate’.
-You get to have a good talk with her, and it makes you really realize some things about Jamil.
-You realize he’s just as broken as you, just as tired as you, and that he feels the most immense amount of guilt for hurting you.
-You, being you, find it in your soul to forgive him.
-Nothing really changes between you. The guilt is still there, and the fear still shakes you to your core, but you both have closure.
-In a situation like this, closure is the best grace a person can ever have.

HI POOKUMS!!
COULD I REQUEST A JAKE X F READER SMUT?😽
BASICALLY IM THINKING READER AND JAKE HAVE HAD A PRANK WARS GOING ON FOR A WHILE, THE READER THEN ENDS UP PRANKING HIM WITH VIAGRA PILLS (OR ANY OTHER PILLS THAT JUST MAKE YOU CRAZY HORNY)
IMAGINE JAKE HAVING TO LIKE GO FILM OR GO OUT WITH YOU AND SOME FRIENDS LIKE JOHNNIE OR SOMETHING AND PRETEND LIKE HES NOT ROCK HARD, MORE TURNED ON THAN EVER 🙏
IM REALLY NOT PICKY SO YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOUD LIKE HOW ITS GONNA CONTINUE, BUT THE ONLY THING ID PREFER YOU EXCLUDE IS BREEDING KINK IF THATS OKAY🙏
I HOPE YOURE DOING OKAY POOKUMS!!🥰 TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF, LOVE YOUR WRITING BTW!!
speed it down then slow it up
a/n:this might just be my favorite request yet tbh so sorry it took this long i’ve been busy lately but i’ll get back to posting regularly soon🙏
also title is from bubble pop electric ‼️
this prank war which jake had of course started had been going on for a eternity. at the moment,he had the upper hand therefore you just had to go all out.
the two of you had mentioned trying some aphrodisiacs a couple times but never fully went through with it. that was until today, when you, jake and johnnie had to record a video inside of a store.
you walked around recording the two boys occasionally passing the camera along to one of them as you waited for the viagra jake had taken to kick in.
you had worn a shirt that showed off a bit of your cleavage but not too much as well as your favorite bottoms
you had been talking to the camera while admiring the items around you until johnnie stopped recording, before practically scolding jake
“hey jake,i get that you may have a girlfriend but i’m trying to shoot a video here and i’d strongly appreciate it if you didn’t stare at her fucking tits the whole video” he says ending it with a sarcastic smile making you laugh
“hm?” he says looking up at you with a somewhat dazed look
you and johnnie let out a laugh at his reaction before eventually forgetting about it and going back to what you were doing
the video continued on as Jake tried his very best to conceal the large boner that has been forming in his pants over the past while, his hands glued to his pockets
he wondered as to why he could barely control himself but that thought went out the window as soon as you had dropped something and bent over to pick it up
he almost let out a small groan at the sight before he concealed it,remembering where he is
johnnie, who was busy looking at some item in the store was oblivious to jake who was practically looking down at you your ass with puppy dog eyes as you stood up
your eyes meet jake’s before they then notice the large print in his pants which you could’ve sworn looked at you first
“please baby don’t leave me like this” he whines in reference to his very prominent boner which you feel as he wraps his arms around your waist, checking to make sure no one else was in the isle
you weigh your options, because if you do help him then you’ll obviously loose the prank war because of your own prank but at the same time you and him wanted it just as bad,he just couldn’t hide it
“come on,you know you wanna help me” he whispers in your ear while he leaves a few small kisses along your neck, with his hard cock pressing right against your ass
this prompts you to quickly go and tell johnnie you and jake were “going to look at something” in the store before darting off to find the nearest bathroom.
as you walked away from johnnie you had a slight skip in your step while you and jake quickly entered the bathroom in hopes no one would see you.
jake instantly forced his hands up your tight fitting shirt groping at your tits before attacking your neck with wet,and sloppy kisses.
“jakey-baby you know I love it when you kiss me there but we don’t have a lot of time” you say in between breaths as he kissed your neck before halting his actions
he agrees but not without a groan and a plea on his end.
and before you know it your pressed against the cold wall with jake sliding the head of his cock inside of you.
with a sharp inhale jake was now fully inside of you,his hands holding onto you tightly as he says a quiet “you feel so good ‘round me” before beginning his assault on your cunt
you slapped a hand over his mouth knowing how loud he gets and as you expected his moans get louder while his strong arms hoisted you and held you against the bathroom stall. and just by how franticly he was thrusting into you, you could tell just how badly he needed you
you rested your head in the crook of his neck whimpering like crazy whenever he would thrust right against your cervix
“fuck- i’m gonna-” he groaned, his fingernails digging into your thighs as he came deep inside you. his hips continuing faster then they had before while his mouth connected with yours to muffle his moans
with his thrusts not faltering, his deep groans and grunts turned more into whimpers and moans when he continued to fuck his cum out of you as the two of you tried your best to stay quiet.
“don’t know how you expect me to stay quiet” he whines with a thrust. “not when she’s squeezing me this good-fuck” he moans out feeling close once again
you then pull him into a passionate kiss, wrapping your arms around him, one of your hands creeping up and gripping his hair. the two of you moaned into the kiss, jakes pace slowing down, the tip of his cock still brushing right against your cervix
you pulled back, with your hands still placed around him “jakey i’m gonna cum” you’d whine out. this then makes jake thrust even harder then before trying to get you to reach the peak he gets you too so well
you bite your lip, and surprisingly don’t draw blood, while you and Jake try your best to keep quiet. once again, you pull him into a kiss to stifle his and your moans as he fucks you through your orgasm.
after a few moments,he pulls out and the two of you put your clothes back on before jake stops.
“uhm babe,i know we just fucked but i’m still uh-“ he stutters too embarrassed to tell you. cocking a brow you question him to which you shortly get an answer when you look down and noticed the tent that was still pitched in his pants

“T-Tara?”
Tumblr media
______________———————_____________
Warnings- angst or fluff, idk tbh I haven’t decided. Swearing, idk what else
And yes. This is a series.
Summary- Y/n and Tara have a crush on each other and go to great lengths to make sure they have them all to themselves.
————————______________———————-
Masterlist Part One Part Two…(coming soon)
______________————————_____________
Tara was skipping. Again. A habit that became because of her friend Amber. Tara and Amber are best friends, they’ve been since middle school.
Tara was skipping English class because Amber convinced her she already had a good enough grade to pass the last semester of high school. Let’s just say Tara’s a little gullible…
While skipping class Tara and Amber were hiding underneath the bleachers. Amber said she wanted to show Tara something.
“Hey Tara!”
“Hey Amber!”
They were whispering because of an ongoing gym class that was active around them.
“I have something to show you”
“I know we’ve talked about this Amber”
“Yeah but you know”
“Just hurry up and show me”
Tara kept on hurrying because she had never been skipping underneath the bleachers before.
“Alright.”
Amber had brought out her phone from her back pocket to show Tara something.
-WHISTLEEEEEEE-
“HEY WHAT ARE YALL LADIES DOING UNDERNEATH THE BLEACHERS”
“Amber! What do we do?!”
“…. We run”
They both bolted off accidentally leaving Tara’s backpack
———————————————————————
After they bolted off they ended up outside of school in a park.
“A-Amber”
Tara was having a little asthma attack after all of that running
“Yeah? Wait where’s your bag at?!” Amber obviously not focused on the more important subject.
“I-I need… my inhaler”
She was taking big breaths in between the words
“Oh shit right my bad,”
Amber was looking everywhere but couldn’t find her inhaler Tara gave her
“Damn it”
“Hey!”
Some Random person came up to them
“You look a little out of breath… here.”
The polite stranger gave her their inhaler. Tara was taking a puff of the inhaler while Amber was just apologizing and thanking the person
“I am so so so so so so sorry Tara I didn’t mean to not bring your extra inhaler… and thank you you so so so so so much for lending her your inhaler.”
Amber was really hoping Tara didn’t hate her after this but that’s kinda implied.
“Yeah thanks for letting me use it”
“Of course no problem. It’s not even mine I just keep it in case someone needs it” Quite a charm of course
“Huh… that’s handy” As if she had one on her at the time.
“Maybe you should start doing that Amber” And of course Tara has to go at Amber for not remembering her inhaler.
“Tara!”
“Just saying” She could’ve died.
“Alright so I’m gonna go then if you’re Okay.” She started to walk away
“Wait! What’s your name?” A little bit of a weird question to ask when you’re probably never gonna see the person again.
“My names Y/n… what’s yours?” Let’s just say Y/n was a little weirded out.
“Uh.. Tara… Tara Carpenter”
“Nice to meet you Tara” Y/n’s gotta be polite to someone who almost just died… somewhat at least
“Nice to meet you too”
Amber was looking at them and smirking as Y/n left. Tara turned around and saw this then rolled her eyes.
“You’re so weird Amber”
“Maybe but not as weird as you were with Y/n~”
“What are you even talking about?” Tara started to get a little defensive after the statement Amber made.
“I have no idea what you’re saying Amber.”
“You know what I mean” Amber’s always teasing Tara.
“Still have no idea”
“God, you’re really helpless” Tara really is isn’t she?
——————————————————————
Y/ns POV
That was weird. Some random girl was having an asthma attack. I mean I gave her my extra inhaler but she seemed to be a little busy with her friend.
She was kinda cute though… what the hell are you thinking Y/n you’ll probably never see her again anyways.
I mean even if I never do again I’m glad I at least got her name. Tara. Tara Carpenter. Would it be bad if I went searching up her name?
Nah I don’t think so. It doesn’t harm anyone, does it? I put my bets on no…. I dont really know where my phones at though… that’s a little problem.
I should try and find that girl tomorrow. Maybe get her number. I should be worrying about that some time tomorrow and not right now. Because right now I need to find my phone.
Wait a minute… I’m literally using it as a flashlight… I’m a literal dumbass. Ugh. But it is time to go home. I guess I should probably start heading in that direction.
I’m so tired that I’m turning more delusional. I think I might be dying… oh well. I need my bed I wish I could just teleport there ugh.
———————————————————————
Tara’s POV
Jeez getting back into the gym was rough. I gotta get my bag.. hopefully they left it here.
“Aha!” They did! I was so scared they took it to the lost and found or something. I really should get out of here though. It’s getting kinda late.
The way in I took is a little while from the gym but I guess I could just take the way out from the gym… hopefully they don’t see me on the cameras tomorrow.
The gyms behind me now and I can’t stop thinking about that girl, Y/n I think her name was. She was super pretty. I’m just wondering why she was in such a rush. She also gave me a rush… but yet again that could just be from the inhaler she gave me
I still have it actually… I don’t know if I should return it or something. Wait she said to keep it.. she’s so nice. So beautiful. And smart. Well from what I know so far because bringing an extra inhalers pretty smart.
The way to my house is just over this bridge. It’s not too far away. Looking back at where I came from is a little bit farther away then I thou-
“Woah!” And of course I crash into somebody.
“Oh shit. Are you alright?” This person- wait it’s that girl- Y/n I mean.
“Yeah- yeah I’m good”
“You sure? You took a little tumble.. here let me help you up.” Y/n was built to be a goddess i just know it.
“Mhm… I’m sorry I wasn’t really looking where i was going.”
“Please it happens all the time don’t sweat it” Y/n’s perfect. Ughhhh I need to stop…. But I don’t really want to…
“Right.”
“I guess I should get going now. I’m thinking you should too probably” so thoughtful…
“Huh?.. oh yeah I should” my dumbass ‘oh yeah I should’ who the fuck says that ugh.
“Alright… bye”
“Yeah…. Bye I guess” Tara fucking Carpenter you need to stop it.
Time to go home now though. I really need to work on talking to her better. Really surprised I ran into her though… I wonder why that happened.
Probably shouldn’t think about it too much… I gotta get some sleep.
“Home sweet Home!” Finally.
————————______________———————-
A/n-
DANG IT….. IM TWO DAYS BEHIND SCHEDULE….. AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

“Yeah I know, but everyone else is busy.”
“I’m busy.” He retorted.
“With what exactly?” You waited and he huffed, rolling his eyes, making you smirk. “It’ll be quick.”
“Fine.” You led him through the long hallways before finally stopping outside of a door. You used your key to open it, then stepped inside, and he waited impatiently for what you wanted to show him.
“I just need you to double check this for me. Better safe than sorry, you know?” He mumbled out an agreement, then stepped closer, trying to see. When he still couldn’t quite make it out, he stepped forward even more and your stomach dropped as the light quickly left the room, followed by the door clicking shut.
“Fuck! Capa— this door locks!” You all but yelled, panic filling your chest.
“What?”
“We’re trapped, you fucking idiot,”
“Hey, this is not my fault. You could’ve told me.” You could hear the handle violently jiggling as he tried to open it, despite what you just said. With the door now closed, you couldn’t even turn around to face him because of how small the space was. “Who else did you ask to help you before me?”
“Not enough people for them to realize we're missing anytime soon.” He cursed under his breath and you let out a heavy sigh. There wasn’t a light in this ‘room’ so he couldn’t even look at what you originally came down here for, which just made all of this worse.
You shifted your weight, trying not to think about how long you might have to stand here without being able to move. Even though you were praying someone would come, you knew deep down that it would take a couple hours at least. You heard him try the handle again before letting out a heavy breath. You were silent, trying to think of something to say or if you should even say anything at all. When his breathing picked up, you paused, listening for a few more seconds just to be sure.
“I hope you’re not claustrophobic.” You said, mostly teasingly.
“That’s not the problem right now.” He muttered, making your brows furrow in confusion. He cursed under his breath and you waited for him to elaborate on what the problem was. Instead, his hands just barely brushed your hips, making you stiffen. When he grabbed them lightly, your breath caught in your throat.
“What are you doing?” You couldn’t hide the slight quaver in your voice. He ignored you and started rubbing up and down your sides. “Stop it.” You warned, trying to bat his hands away, but barely being able to in the small space. You suddenly felt his breath on your shoulder and he dragged his nose up your neck, inhaling deeply.
“Capa?” You whispered, stomach knotting with fear. He let out a low groan and suddenly gripped your hips, hard enough to make you wince, to keep you from moving.
“I’m sorry.” He muttered. Before you could ask what that meant, he was shoving your pants and underwear down, making you yelp and try to pull them back up. His were next, pushing the clothing down just enough to free his cock.
“Wait,” You tried thrashing, but he pushed you forward against the wall and grabbed your hips again to limit your movement. “Capa, stop!” You felt his cock brush your hole and you stiffened. He moved one hand to line up his cock and the other to cover your mouth.
He applied some pressure, but wasn’t able to push in, so he used more force until he finally breached your hole. You let out a hoarse scream behind his hand, feeling your eyes burn with tears. That was nothing compared to the burning between your legs though.
“Fuck— I’m sorry. I just need this…” He said through a breath, only staying still for a moment before starting a brutal pace, making your tears fall. He rutted into you and the hand not on your mouth wrapped around your stomach, holding you still. You clawed at both of his hands and arms, trying to get him to release you. Instead, he just groaned at the pain and fucked you harder.
“I know… I’m sorry.” He said, as if that could make up for anything. You sobbed violently behind his hand and that only seemed to encourage him, making him fuck you even rougher. “Fuck you’re so tight.” He whispered, hot breath fanning your ear. “You feel so fucking good… god— it’s been so long.”
He humped into you desperately, chasing his own pleasure and ignoring your muffled cries. Even though your body was starting to adjust to make this easier, it still hurt like hell and you already knew you weren’t going to be able to sit comfortably for at least a day or two. He groaned and cursed against your ear as he tightened his grip, fucking you more frenzied now.
“Oh fuck— I’m already close… I have to fill you.” He said lowly. You let out the loudest scream so far. “I know, I’m sorry, I just need it so fucking bad. I need to come in a tight, hot pussy, I can’t take it anymore.” He whined, holding you tighter. You let out a stifled sob and shook your head.
“I’m sorry,” He moaned, thrusts becoming more forceful and desperate, “I can’t stop— I can’t pull out, I’m so sorry.” You tried to scream protests at him from behind his hand but nothing you said was coherent.
He moaned out one last apology before his hips snapped forward, burying his cock deep enough to make your cervix ache. He humped into you as he rode it out, groaning against your ear and squeezing your body tight enough to almost hurt. You felt his cock twitching as warmth filled you, making you let out a strangled whimper. The hand on your mouth dropped so that his arm wrapped around your chest instead, still holding you against his body as you cried silently.
“I’m sorry.” He whispered, one last time.

Mha boys reacting to you getting hurt on the battle field 😱
Characters: bakugou, kirishima 🤗
Warning: cussing (?) And mentions of injuries (not graphic at all tbh)
Tumblr media
Boy he’s mad as soon as he hangs up the phone, getting the call from the hospital.
He’s not mad he’s absolutely worried
Get ready to be yelled at 😭
Of corse he’s more worried than angry but he can’t help but express himself through yells and lectures.
“What the fuck were you thinking?! You can’t just go jumping in front of villains y/n! What if something else happened?! What if he fucking killed you!? You have to think be-“
You roll your eyes, cutting him off
“Katsuki you would do the same thing if you were in my position! Don’t sit here and act like you’ve never gotten hurt before. This just comes with the job..”
You slowly sit up straight, your head pounding at your not so sudden movements. You wince as you place yourself straight. The wince obviously not going unnoticed by your very mad boyfriend.
“Tch, it doesn’t matter what I’ve done. You need to be more careful. You have to think y/n.”
He turns around, pulling the chair that was by the door to you. His eyes are filled with concern as he scans your scratched up face. A ping of guilt hits you as you try to reassure the worried hot head.
“Katsuki, I’m fine. Don’t worry, it’s only a couple of scratches. I’ll be better before you know it.
After the hospital
Once you get discharged from the hospital, it’s bed rest for you.
Did you really think he’d let you get out and just dump yourself into work again? Nope you finna stay in bed because you still have a mild concussion.
Would make sure your agency is taken care of. He’d take shifts with Kirishima who offered to help him. Wanting to help katsuki who is already stressed out w his own agency.
You sigh as you flip through the channels of the tv, looking for anything that can help you with the boredom that has stayed with you for the last hour or so.
Ping*
Katsu 🖤: hey I’m about to get off from patrol I’ll be home in 5.
You send a quick reply as you smile in content. Seeing him after a long day of doing nothing is the best.
“Hey I’m home!” You hear the door open as he calls out. Feeling his gauntlets hit the floor and his steps quickly making their way to your shared bedroom.
His tired frame looking back at you, a soft smile pulled at your lips as you opened your arms to him.
“How you feeling?” His gruff voice rumbled in his chest, sitting down on the bed to give you a peck on the lips, engulfing himself in your arms.
“Better now that you’re here.” The cheesy line making him roll his eyes playfully
You ask him about how his day was, listening to him rant about some dumbass reporter who shoved his microphone all too close to Katsuki’s face.
When you’re finally healed,
(about two weeks after, with the help of some medication and doctors with healing quirks),
Katsuki is a Little nervous to see you out in the field again 😭 but he trusts that nothing bad will happen to you
You’re smart you know how to take care of yourself. And well if something does happen, it’s only inevitable.
It comes with the job sadly.
Only thing he could do is trust you and your abilities, and hope to see you at your shared house.
Tumblr media
Bro was on the verge of tears when he saw you.
Your pretty body all bandaged up, scratches on your legs and face.
He would most definitely tell you to be more careful, thinking of lecturing you but he’s more understanding than bakugou. He knows this happens so he wouldn’t be giving you a semi-hard time abt it.
Would most definitely be mad, not at you but the villain and especially if they got away!
“God, that fucking villain better hope I don’t find him!” You’ve never really seen him this mad, the red head looks like an actual dragon, smoke about to come out of his nose. 😭
“Ei, calm down. You look like bakugou.” You try to pop a joke, but it only makes his shoulders losen.
“Y/n, this isn’t funny. You could’ve gotten killed. And I know it comes with the job but..” his glossy eyes meet yours.
“Ejirou, don’t cry baby. I’m not going anywhere.”
He’d be so worried I can’t even 😭😭
You’d have to calm him down because he’d would just feel so bad.
It just makes him feel bad because he wasn’t able to protect you 😭
After the hospital
He would take a few days off of work to stay with you.
He’d keep you in bed though. Only letting you get up when you need to use the bathroom.
He’d clean your wounds and replace your bandages.
He’d smother you like a mf 😭
Always asking if you need something. He’d try and fluff your pillows to make you feel more comfortable.
At one point he’d ask you if you’re ok in the bathroom 😭
You can’t tell me he wouldn’t bc what if you fall?? What if you need help getting up??
Once he has to go back to work, he’d text you every chance he gets.
Would most definitely FaceTime you while he’s in his office doing paper work.
If he’s on patrol, he’d tell his assistant to call you, make sure you’re ok.
Would most definitely ask Mina to take you some food! Maybe stay with you a little so someone is taking care of you.
And so you’re not bored
When he comes home from work, he’d hang up his gear. Walking quickly to your bedroom and just plop down next to you on the bed.
“Hey babe. How are you feeling?” His yawns as he looks up at you, a toothy smile as he lays on his stomach.
“I’m feeling better ei.” Your hand meets his hair, grazing his scalp. The feeling making a chill go down his spine.
Once you’re ready to go back to work, he’d make sure to still text you every now and then.
Every 2 hours 😭
Like bakugou, he’d still be worried. This job is so hard on a person, and his love for you is so great that the fear of you getting hurt makes his chest ache.
(●´⌓`●) (●´⌓`●) (●´⌓`●) (●´⌓`●) (●´⌓`●) (●´⌓`●) (●´⌓`●)

The essence of life
Chapter 12 – Guided by the stars, connected by the force
Masterlist
Previous chapter | Next chapter ⇒
Tumblr media
Chapter summary: After the semi-success on Glavis and Din’s exclusion from his covert, Maia offered to fly them to Tatooine. Perhaps Peli can help them find what to do next. Or they would just take a small vacation and continue working on their relationship.
Warnings: 18+ MDNI! not that much to tag this time around tbh; lots of touching in this chapter; fluff; body image issues; consumption of alcohol; feelings; two idiots in love; a lil body worship; short mention of captivity; short mention of Din's past as a mercenary;
Words: 13.8k
A/N: Well well well if it isn’t yet another way too long chapter (I swear I try to keep myself short but the two just … yap and do too many things!)
also peep the art I commissioned from @kenobiwanx last year. We finally get to find out why Maia wears a dress!
Tumblr media
Their travel had been relatively quiet. Din received the space he needed to work through all of his emotions, and Maia maneuvered them back to Tatooine. It wasn’t that the brunette had locked him out, the comm channel had ben up all flight in case he wanted to talk after all, but she respected his privacy. This would be one of the few instances he would have to himself if they stayed together now. He probably rested back there, exhausted from the hunt, the training and whatever else he had been up to back at the covert. Maia nibbled on a nutri-bar on the way to the sand planet, more out of boredom than actual hunger. Ever since she had put on muscle, her hunger had become a little more noticeable – and it fact a little annoying.
Their entry into the atmosphere was a little shaky, she wasn’t the best pilot out there, but she didn’t do it on purpose. At least Din would know they were about to land. Mos Eisley was visible from relatively high up, now even more so, as there was suddenly a lot of blue that reflected back from the surface. Something was going on in the city and they would find out what it was soon enough. Perhaps this would be the perfect opportunity to detox from their incessant adventures. Perhaps they could continue what they had started on Glavis.
As soon as Maia had activated the automatic landing aid, a familiar voice shrieked at her via the radio. »Hey, this isn’t public parking, find another damn hangar!« Wow. Din would for sure be awake now. »Too bad,« Maia hummed, a big grin on her lips that was audible in her voice. »I have a bunch of Mandalorian steel with me that reaaally missed you.« There was silence on the other end for a moment. »Now wait a damn second, Maia? Could’ve told me it was you right away. Come on down, you’re just in time.«
In time for what, exactly?
They made it out of the starfighter and Peli’s droids swarmed the ship. »Mando! Glad to see you’re back, and reunited with your charming little friend, none the less.« The mechanic placed both hands over her heart. »It broke my heart when I saw you had split up, but I’m glad you rekindled. Why did you separate in the first place? And where is the green guy?« She bombarded them with questions, looking around to see Grogu somewhere. »He’s with his kind,« Din explained. Maia turned her head to her partner and gave him an apologetic look. »There’s more than one of these cute little things?« Peli completely misunderstood, but then again, had she even realized Grogu was force-sensitive? Din clarified »no, I mean he is with a Jedi.«
Maia took a step closer to Din and placed a hand onto his vambrace. He didn’t move, maybe he didn’t want her to display her affection when they weren’t alone. Peli got the memo regardless and changed the topic. »So, what brings you two here?« The brunette still had her eyes glued to Din, but she looked over to the mechanic to reply, shrugging. »Nothing,« she responded, unsure if Din wanted anyone to know what their actual business was. »We’ve been through quite a lot and to be honest, I’d appreciate to have some peace and quiet for a few days.« Din was free to agree or not. »Well, peace and quiet will be hard to come by with the festival starting soon. I doubt you consider fireworks to be quiet.«
»There’s a festival?« Maia asked. She had seen the blue and turquoise tarps all over the city, it made sense that they had just accidentally made it here for a festival. »Yes, the annual Harvest Festival of the moisture farms.« Peli stared into an empty face and a similarly expressionless helmet visor. »Come on, it’s almost as popular as Boonta Eve! You can’t tell me you’ve never heard of it.« Maybe it was popular on Tatooine, but Maia had never even heard of any kind of holiday apart from Empire Day, which they had celebrated in the facility. She felt a little bad about being so clueless. Did Din know? »I’ve never even seen fireworks,« the brunette confessed. There was yet another sting in the back of her neck and when she look over to Din, the visor faced her. »If you want to, we can go there and look at the fireworks.« Her heart jumped a little. Would Din actually go to a festival with her?
»First of all, we go shopping. I might not be able to get you out of the armor without threat of violence, but Maia is a different story. She needs something else to wear, more festival appropriate, something a little prettier than…« Peli interrupted them, motioning in Maia’s direction, pointing to her black robes. The brunette scoffed and put her hands on her hips. Rude… »You can go shopping while I see if I can get a room for us. I’m sure Peli is a better help with finding something for you to wear,« Din told them while grabbing some credits for the girls to go to the bazaar. Before Maia could receive the amount from Din’s hand, Peli had stepped in and snatched the credits away. There was nothing faster than Peli Motto when it came to money, it seemed. »I doubt there will be any rooms left, but good luck. I have a mattress you can sleep on.«
Once again, the mechanic practically dragged Maia away and she looked back towards where Din stood, his gaze lingering on her; yearning. He seemed a little lost for a moment, suddenly alone with his thoughts and himself. As bad as Maia felt for leaving him, she knew it wouldn’t take long for her and Peli to return. Realistically, how long would it take for her to find a nice dress when half of the city had turned into a bazaar? Peli counted the credits and grumbled. »This is enough for an outfit but not for a pretty one. I thought he’d be willing to spend more if it was for you.«
»A dress is all I need.« Maia would only wear it this once, why would she waste money on shoes and accessories? »And a necklace,« she added after she remembered the mudhorn pendant Din sill had in one of his belt pouches. It was good she remembered it now, because now she could specifically look for dresses that had a deeper neckline so the pendant would be visible. Still she wondered if there was a deeper meaning behind wearing his clan symbol. It meant a lot to him, he had made that clear, even if his clan was now nonexistent. It made it obvious she belonged with him. His way of marking her. The thought made her cheeks heat up.
»Do you think we’ll find something before the festival starts?« she asked Peli as they were still walking through the crowds that had formed between all of the different merchants. It was a little overpowering, the people, the noise, and yes, even the smells. There were spice and food merchants sprinkled in between and the mixture of different foods reminded her a little of the aroma in the bar on Glavis. And then she remembered the scent of burnt flesh that she had to shake off of her. »We have enough time and there will be enough to choose from, don’t you worry.«
The first booth they encountered on their slow journey through the densely packed streets didn’t look too bad, but then again – also not breathtaking. Some of the dresses had the right shape that should suit Maia’s body and size, but the colors were… »hideous,« Peli shook her head as she browsed through the clothes on a rack, all of them in similar shades of brown, beige, and some leaning towards yellow. »Yellow is such an ugly color to wear when we’re surrounded by sand. This festival is about life and water and not the same three shades of beige we get to live in.« Maia shot the merchant an apologetic look, but then again, Peli was kind of right. She didn’t want to blend in with the crowd or camouflage herself against a wall. If this was her only opportunity to dress up in the foreseeable future, she wanted to go all out and be as visible as possible. She would be with a Mandalorian in a reflective armor, after all, how would it look like if he was a walking mirror and she appeared as a floating head?
They traveled to the next booth, Peli also warning Maia to keep her valuables in check. Which valuables? The Brunette only owned the clothes she wore, a ship no one could pickpocket, and the lightsabers she had left in her ship. As they reached the next merchant, Maia occupied herself with checking the dresses on the rack before her, while Peli practically dove hands first into a large pile of differents fabrics, assuming these were dresses as well. While the women were looking for something suitable, Maia thought about what the mechanic had said just earlier, about hoping Din’s spending habits were a little more generous when it came to her. »Peli?« Maia asked, using the dresses before her as a distraction to not look at the other woman. She pulled out a teal dress and held it before herself, looking down her own body. »Mh?« the mechanic replied, elbow deep in a mountain of ruffles in a weirdly neon shade of green.
Maia bit her lip, debating whether or not to actually ask. But then again, Peli was brutally honest, sometimes a little too much. If there was anyone’s opinion to be trusted, it was hers. »How did you know Mando has a thing for me?« It was a question and partially a confession. She just now realized it, sure the mechanic would register that and use it for fuel to make the two even more uncomfortable with her comments. »He thinks he’s so safe underneath that helmet. I see how he looks at you, he did ever since you showed up here with him. That bucket lingered on you longer than necessary, too long to be casual. I know how men are. I’ve been with enough to know, believe me.« Yeah I don’t doubt that, please spare me with the details. She hung the teal dress back, but she had now given the mechanic the perfect target to focus on. Her and Din’s relationship.
»How close are you two now?« Well, if Peli had registered Din’s gazes, she sure had seen how Maia looked at him now. A little uncomfortable with the topic, Maia hung the dress back and stammered with now very obviously blushed cheeks. »I guess you could say we are a couple?« The reaction was … surprisingly wholesome. »Oh? So you could get through that hard shell after all? Not that I doubted you, there was something in his posture when you were around. He laughed more too. As soon as you had left he was back to the grumpy tin can I had known him as.« Well, was that good now? It surely didn’t feel to nice to be reminded of their separation. Had her presence changed him so much in the little time they had spent together? She knew he had changed her a lot. To hear it might have been in both directions all this time, was a little reassuring, though. After their fight just the day before, it calmed her. They were together – the past didn’t matter. Even the very recent past.
»Now wait a damn minute,« Peli’s eyes lit up as she still rummaged through the piles of dresses before her. »Do you see what I see?« Maia turned to look and Peli unearthed a glittery dream from the depths of the pile of candy colors. At first it was hard to make out a color while it was still covered in multiple layers of transparent fabrics, but when Peli had pulled it out in its entirety, the brunette almost teared up. Peli held out a glittery, silverish dress, shimmering like a damn sea of stars. If Maia’s eyes weren’t betraying her, it looked to be about the same shade as Din’s armor. She took the dress by the straps and held it to her body. It seemed to be a perfect fit, both in silhouette and also in the size. There should be enough skin showing on her neckline to accommodate the pendant, too. The fabric was kind of heavy and therefore felt expensive. She took a closer look. There were thin metallic threads woven into the fabric that made the dress sparkle from afar. It didn’t feel scratchy despite the glitter either.
»I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a beautiful dress,« she confessed and inspected it a little more, while Peli scanned her up and down. »Might not be cheap but a Sarlacc can swallow me right up if Mando doesn’t get completely blown away by this. Not gonna lie, wish I could see his face when he sees you in it.« Maia’s eyes were practically glued to the dress. »Yeah, me too,« she absent-mindedly agreed, not telling the mechanic that she had seen Din’s face, and not telling her that she wanted to see his reaction unfiltered, either. »Let’s get the dress and then we can go back so you have time to get ready.« Easier said than done, the brunette thought, but Peli haggled with the merchant as if her life depended on it. Maybe it did. It seemed the mechanic was a huge fan of the young couple and Maia couldn’t help but smirk a little at the thought. At least someone approved of this relationship.
»I still need a necklace,« Maia remembered as they left the booth, a beige tote bag with the dress now hanging from her shoulder. »You have to be a little more specific. A necklace can be found at every other booth, here.« »Just a chain to attach a pendant to. I have one I want to wear.« And as Peli said, it was easy to find a simple silver chain that would hold her pendant. It was nothing expensive nor overly artistic, just a delicate chain with a small clasp closure. With that also securely packed away in a smaller bag, the women returned to the hangar, seemingly more successful than Din had been. He awaited them by Maia’s ship, his posture a little hunched over. Maybe his back was causing him discomfort after the long flight. »Let me guess, no luxury suite this time?« the brunette greeted him.
Din walked over to them and sighed. »Sorry, cyar’ika. Everything in the city is booked.« »Just how I thought,« Peli shook her head. »Oh well, I’ll get the mattress out for you. It’s not a real bed, because I will be sleeping in that, but it’s better than nothing. I’ll see if it fits my storage room so you two can have some privacy. I’m sure you’ll need that later.« Maia had to close her eyes and take a deep breath. She shouldn’t have told Peli that she and Din were a couple, because this would keep happening from now on. »Maia, you know the apartment, make yourself at home, you have to get ready.« »Looks like you were successful,« Din pointed to the bag that didn’t show any bit of the sparkling fabric inside of it. »Yes we were. Peli –« »Oh! One more thing,« Peli’s head popped out behind the doorframe that lead to the staircase to her apartment, having both Maia and Din turn their heads towards her. »I’m going to the festival too. Will probably stay for a while so if you two need a little privacy, I’ll be gone for a while.« She wiggled her nonexistent eyebrows and disappeared.
Right now, all Maia wished for was to travel back in time and keep her past self from telling Peli about her relationship as the mechanic seemed to think that these kinds of jokes were appropriate now. With red hot cheeks Maia turned back to Din and prayed that he wouldn’t ask what she had told the other woman. »What I was trying to say was that Peli negotiated the poor merchant’s head off. I suddenly have a feeling for what it must’ve felt back at the hotel when I manipulated the receptionist.« Din chuckled. She was certain there was a soft smile on his lips, she could hear it. »Go get ready, I’ll wait here.«
She stared into the black visor before her for just a second, fighting with herself whether she wanted to mention a touchy subject or to just let it go. This might be the only time she got to wear a dress and despite what had transpired on Glavis, she wanted him to see her while they were in private. She wanted to see his reaction, without the metal in between them. She knew it would probably just reopen the wound that he had suffered back on Glavis, but she wouldn’t forgive herself for not asking. »I thought you might come up there with me. In case I need your help,« she explained, taking another breath to collect her thoughts. »I want to see your reaction to the dress… without the helmet,« she finally confessed. She wanted to add that he could just say no, she would accept it, but the words got stuck in her throat. Din knew she wouldn’t force him. He tensed and she feared he would completely close off, but he nodded gently. »Alright.«
She took hold of his hand to lead him up the narrow staircase, through the kitchen and into the bathroom. In passing they witnessed Peli struggling to push a mattress into the small storage room to the left of the entrance, but the mechanic would handle this on her own hopefully. At least they would get a room for themselves… somewhat. As soon as they had reached the bathroom, Maia locked the door behind them and let the bag fall to the floor with a soft thud. Din just stood beside her, unsure what to do. His posture had changed again, helmet pointed downwards, looking at the ground rather than towards her. Only when her boots came into his field of view, the helmet rose towards her. She rested both of her hands on his shoulders and gently squeezed him. »It’s okay if you don’t want to,« she reminded him, but he leaned towards her, giving her the unmistakable sign it was fine for him.
When the helmet came off of his face, she saw how miserable he looked. The lines on his forehead seemed deeper than usual, like he had pulled faces all day.  His eyes were closed, maybe he didn’t want her to see him like this. Or he didn’t want to see her reaction to his state. She gently cupped his face in her hands. He flinched upon contact, but his features softened as soon as he felt her thumbs caress his cheeks. Din must’ve felt miserable, having lost his child, his status, and also his support system – the family that had taken him in.
Her dress could wait a little longer. Din’s well-being was more important to Maia in this moment. »I’m sorry about your clan and your status,« she began. His eyes opened and she saw how blood-shot his eyes were. He was holding back tears, and it almost broke her heart. Was it the helmet? Was it still their fight? Was it her touch? »I might not have been the source or the trigger for all of this, but I still feel guilty about it. I don’t understand how they can just cast you out when there’s so little left. It doesn’t make sense to me, but this… isn’t my culture, how would I understand?« She furrowed her brows, watching as his eyes turned a little glossier. »You don’t have to feel guilty,« he softly replied, blinking a few times to get rid of the tears. »I knew what would happen if I took the helmet off and I did it of my own volition. I had hoped they would see that I had no other choice to save Grogu, but I was wrong.«
»Maybe my opinion as an outsider doesn’t matter too much, but to me you’re everything a Mandalorian should be. You are more than your armor and the Creed.« She continued moving her thumbs up and down his cheekbones in a soothing gesture, hoping it was something he could focus on. For her it helped, focusing on the sensation of his stubble on her skin rather than the tears in his eyes. She would start crying herself if she put too much thought into it. »You're strategic, you’re brave. You fight like you’ve never done anything else. I know you’re loyal and you’ll probably be until your last breath. You’re as strong as the Beskar that protects you, but you’re not cold-hearted. People that are lucky enough to get to know you know that you are caring. and gentle. and lovable.« The latter confession came as a surprise for her, as she had not realized what she was not so subtly telling him. But then again, she had told him before and he hadn’t picked up on it.
Tears welled in his eyes again and she feared she had insulted him once again, her own eyes responding by filling with tears. He rested one gloved hand on hers, leaning his face into her touch more. He closed his eyes for just a moment, savoring the sensation of her fingers on his skin. »Your opinion matters,« he let her know. »I’m honored that you think so highly of me.« There was a hint of color on his cheeks when he opened his eyes again. Gone was the sadness and grief, for just a moment, and she found the warmth in the deep brown eyes again. You have no idea how amazing you are, she thought to herself.
A rumble behind the door disrupted this precious moment that almost felt like Din was about to lean in and kiss her. She had not seen the sparkle in his eyes yet, but she had felt the gravitational pull towards his body. Peli was cussing one hallway away from them and it reminded Maia that she should get ready. »I better get dressed before Peli busts through the door to ask what is taking us so long.« She had surely registered Din coming into the bathroom too and would think the worst of her guests.
Maia walked over to the bag, taking off her boots in the process. »You’ll have to close your eyes for a bit. I don’t want you to see the dress before it’s on me.« She wouldn’t mind if he snuck a peek while she got undressed, she would feel tempted to do the same. Besides, he had seen a lot of her skin already. Taking her clothes off happened quite quickly and she managed to worm her way into the dress on her own just fine. It was like the dress was made specifically for her, molding itself against her body so she didn’t even have to worry about needing a bra underneath. With a few tugs she had wiggled the dress into place and could close the zipper. She had a first look in the mirror over Peli’s sink, and Maia was starstruck.
The dress sparkled even in the semi-shade she currently stood in. The dress was hugging her curves just right. The neckline was almost straight across, the fabric falling into subtle folds just in the middle of her cleavage, not showing too much of her chest but still just a bit. The straps fell down her shoulders and loosely hung at her upper arm. Judging by the way the fabric laid, this was intentional to have the straps off the shoulder. It was almost floor length on her, hiding her feet when she slightly bent one knee. Her waist looked tiny in this dress and all she could really say at her reflection was »wow.« Gone were the second guesses and negative thoughts she had about her body ever since she had been with Luke. She looked like a princess.
»Can I look?« Din asked, who was still in the room with Maia despite her somehow managing to forget him for a minute. She didn’t say anything because she was still stuck in awe. »I’m opening my eyes now,« he announced and looked at her. Still there was no reaction from her. She didn’t face him yet, so he got to see her profile for now. »Maia?« She finally turned around to him and there were tears in her eyes. »I’m sorry, I’ve never worn a dress as pretty as this. Or any dress, for that matter. I think I got a little stuck, I’ve never felt so beautiful.«
Din gave her a once-over and his mouth opened a little. He blinked once or twice before he regained his ability to speak. »You … are beautiful, cyar’ika. Like … ca’tra.« »What?« Another word in Mando’a? »The night sky. You sparkle like a million stars.« Din took a step closer towards her. »You’re breathtaking,« he softly told her. He gently caressed her arms and took a closer look. Now that they were face to face she could actually see just how well the fabric color matched with his Beskar. There was a moment where she felt just an inkling of sadness when he referred to her as the night sky. Somewhere deep down she remembered that her parents had referred to her as their twinkling star. It was hard to disagree with that nickname right now.
»Peli found it. It sparkled just like the armor of someone I happen to like, so I had to get it,« Maia explained, taking all of the subtle movements in his facial expression in. Din’s eyes were all over her. »It was a good choice,« he concluded when their eyes finally met. The brunette pulled his hands behind her back, wrapping his arms around her waist. She wanted some closeness and he was willing to grant her wish. His hands fell into place on her back while she could rest her hands on his chest armor. »I thought with all of the likely drunk people around I should make it obvious who I belong to. Otherwise you end up starting fights.« She leaned her head against his and sighed. Din closed his eyes and gently squeezed her torso.
»I’m not going to lie, I like the idea,« he said with a smirk, opening his eyes to look at her again. It felt so nice to lean against him, even if all she felt was the hard edges of his armor pushing into her ribs. She looked up at him. »I bought a necklace for the pendant. Would you help me with it?« »Of course, where is it?« She pointed to the same tote that had her dress inside, where remained a smaller bag with the necklace. »The closure is delicate, you might need to pull the gloves off,« she explained before his arms let go of her. His gloves were pulled off and he placed them by his helmet before he fished the thin necklace out of its bag. With it in one hand, he retrieved the mudhorn from his belt pouch and threaded the necklace through the ring at the tip of the horn.
»Turn around for me,« Din purred as he stepped back toward her. Maia’s heart dropped, but not in an uncomfortable way. How was her body so sensitive to everything he did? Rather than turning all the way back, however, she faced the mirror once more. Din stepped behind her and lifted the necklace over her head. Maia pulled her hair to the front, even if it was too short to be in the way. She got goosebumps as soon as the cold metal touched her skin, Din pulling the ends together behind her to close the tiny mechanism that would make the necklace stay on her. She watched his face, how focused he was on the task at hand. The metal was cold, but his hands were so warm whenever they accidentally touched her. It sent shivers down her spine. When the necklace was in place, Din’s fingers glided over her neck towards her shoulders, where they lingered for a moment. »Done.« He looked up into the mirror and blushed just a little when he found her watching him intently.
Maia smiled at him when his hands wandered to her waist again. It felt so natural to have him close like this, without the helmet on, hands on her all the time. With the color-coordinated outfits, it was very hard to deny that they looked absolutely cute together. »Is my tattoo visible through the fabric?« It was a concern of hers, the fabric was significantly lighter than her black robes, and judging by the transparency all of the other dresses had, she didn’t want to run around with a very obvious Empire sigil on her back. If it was in fact visible, they might have to stay here. It was too much effort to let it go to waste but she couldn’t force Din to have his hand on her back all evening. Even if the thought was tempting. His hands felt so good on her skin today. She didn’t know why, they just did.
He took a look and she saw his eyes wander further south than necessary. »It’s not visible,« he confirmed with a nod. Din took a step forward and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into his armor. The dress fit so well with the Beskar, despite it being far from similar in any regard besides the color. »You look amazing,« he told her again. They looked like they belonged together. She might not be in armor, but it was obvious she was his. The little mudhorn on her chest made it obvious.
»Are you ready to go?« Din asked, looking into the mirror, probably also thinking they looked absolutely gorgeous together. Maia nodded and leaned her head against his for the last time. Neither did she own any makeup, nor wanted to put any on, it would just be a waste. She walked over to his helmet and picked it up to carry it over to him. »Will I see you again later?« He laid his hands onto hers rather than taking the helmet. His thumbs caressed over her hands. »Of course.« And just when there would’ve been the perfect opportunity for them to kiss again, Peli banged on the door. »Should I be worried or impressed that you’re still in there?« the mechanic taunted through the door. Maia sighed and handed the helmet over. »I’ll keep the gloves off,« Din whispered before the helmet was back on his head, hiding his pretty face from her for the next hours. He went to unlock the door while Maia put on her boots.
»About damn time, I hope you’ve not made a mess in my bathroom,« Motto complained, looking around her room to find it suspiciously tidy besides the pile of black robes. Maia was leaned over, putting on the boots that arguably didn’t fit with the dress but she didn’t want to buy a pair of shoes she wouldn’t use after today. The dress was enough luxury. »Wow, now look at this,« the other woman whistled and Maia pushed past Din towards the mechanic. »You shouldn’t hide all of that underneath your clothes.« She would most definitely hide all of that after tonight if everyone suddenly commented on her body.
»Let’s go, the festival has already started,« Peli ushered them out of her bathroom, only now catching the glimpse of the uncovered hand that held Maia’s. »Ha, so you’re really not green!« she pointed at the two hands. If only the mechanic knew what a handsome face hid underneath the helmet. She would probably not shut up about it. A smirk crept up to Maia’s lips. She knew, and she didn’t mind if she would be the only person to know. »The dress was a good choice, Peli. He was speechless,« the brunette praised. »Yeah he better be, you look stunning.« Out they went, following the noise of the bazaar and the subtle roar of drums coming from somewhere further into the market. Every now and then, Din would softly squeeze his partner’s hand, and she would return the gesture.
The market was even fuller now, people crowding the streets, gathering around the little booths, talking over one another. Somewhere in the distance there was music. The alleys were covered in the blue tarps Maia had seen when she flew over Mos Eisley, the fabric allowing most alleys to be in the shade. Despite the sheer amount of souls walking about, Din’s mere presence made the sea of strangers part so he, Maia, and also Peli could walk around relatively freely. Of course there were looks and even some whispers around them, but all Maia focused on was Din’s warm hand and the fact that she felt absolutely beautiful. »I hope you’re hungry, because I am starving. Oh, wait, what about you Mando? I keep forgetting you don’t eat,« Peli interrupted the brunette’s small daydream about being alone with her partner. »I do eat, just not here,« Mando corrected, very well aware Peli knew that. »Don’t worry about me.« His helmet turned to Maia, whose eyes sparkled almost as much as her dress did when she looked at him. »You can have anything you want,« he told her with a nod.
Peli grinned and Maia assumed it was because Din was so willingly spending money for her. She faced the mechanic. »Just order something for me. I trust your taste in food.« Right away the older woman steered towards a certain booth that offered different kinds of food fresh off the grill. She ordered 3 skewers of meat; two for herself, one for Maia. »You want something to drink?« Din asked, leaning towards Maia a little. It made her shiver when his voice seemed to drop in tone out of nowhere. »Yes please,« she replied, and off the Mandalorian went. While he was gone, the girls got their food and retreated a little from the booth to make space for other guests. They walked towards a more open space, a small plaza where a stage had been set up. Live music played and Peli just so happened to spot an empty table they could stand beside. »Mos Eisley can be quite the shit hole, but the festivals are nice. You and Mando should come here around Boonta Eve.« »We’ll see if we have time to.«
Peli bit into the first skewer and her features scrunched up. »Whew, spicy. You better wait for Mando to return with the drinks.« Maia took a more careful approach, eyeing the vibrant orange coating on her skewer. The red particles in the sauce were probably the source of the spice. A sweet and downright mouth-watering scent came from the skewer and just as Din returned with the drinks, Maia took her first bite. There was a certain sweetness, but directly afterwards came a pang of spice and the brunette coughed a little. »Peli, what the –« she coughed. »Relax. Drink something, it’s not getting worse than this.« Din placed both cups of alcohol on the small table before resting his hand on the small of Maia’s back. »Are you ok?« He inquired, but she just nodded, grabbing one of the cups to wash the spice down. The liquid that ran down her throat was overly sweet but also had a noticeable amount of acidity that made the sting of the spice even worse. Numbness coated her tongue almost instantly.
»Are you trying to get me drunk, Mando?« she purred his way, very well aware there was a risk of Peli evesdropping on their playful banter. »What would that get me?« he responded, Maia turning her head towards him, one eyebrow raised. Did she have to tell him or did he know? A chuckle came from underneath the helmet and a warm hand found its place in between her shoulder blades, caressing her soft skin. Instantly her skin bumped up, electricity going through her body. Trying her hardest not to make her reaction too obvious, she occupied her mouth with more food and occasionally a sip of the alcohol. It was probably wine, or something similar to it. Maia leaned back into his touch ever so slightly, to feel more of his warm skin on hers.
»Would you look at that.« Peli motioned towards the two. »What a heartwarming sight. Princess Maia and her bodyguard.« Maia doubted she looked like an actual princess, but the connection to Din was hard to overlook when they had a color-coordinated outfit. There had been quite a few glances she had registered. In a way, they were a walking, living antithesis. There she stood, a woman in a sparkly dress, enjoying the festival like there were no worries in this world. And her companion, a Mandalorian, completely disguised, in full, unpainted Beskar armor and armed with an embarrassing amount of weapons. Apart from the hands he had so graciously freed of their gloves to touch her. To feel her and to allow her to feel him.
Truth be told: Maia wondered what the aliens around them whispered about. Perhaps they wondered if she was the princess of a far away world. Perhaps they theorized what the mudhorn on her necklace meant. Din’s tech probably had a translator integrated into his gear… somewhere. She assumed he knew what was being whispered around them. Was he grinning underneath that bucket on his head? With the skewer finished and Maia’s hunger satisfied for now, the brunette softly swayed to the music, her cup in hand, ever so often taking a sip. The alcohol was slowly working into her system, making her tipsy and a little more reactive to Din’s touches, too. The suns were setting, their descent only visible by the colored sky in between the blue tarps slowly going from light blue to orange. There was still time until the fireworks, but not too much.
Peli left the two soon thereafter, having emptied her mug and desperately needing to get a second one. The mechanic took away their trash and left Mando and Maia behind. She was nowhere near drunk, judging by how enthusiastically she could still walk through the crowds, loudly yelling if people were in her way. »I won’t carry her home,« Din grumbled, his hand snaking around Maia’s waist to pull her into him a little more. The brunette chuckled and hid her face halfway into her cup before she replied »of course not, because you already have to carry me.« She smirked and turned her head towards him, and so did his helmet. Din’s hand might have rested on the fabric rather than directly on her skin, but she could still make out his body heat through her dress. »Are you enjoying yourself?« he wanted to know. Maia nodded. »Feels good to be normal for once.« A sigh escaped her when she leaned more into him. »Not that I don't like being who I am. It’s just… were so busy. There’s always something to do, someone to find. Being here reminds me a little of when you showed me the sunset. It’s a short break from my routine. A moment to catch my breath in a turbulent life. What about you?«
»I understand. Sometimes it feels easier to just be normal.« Din’s hand gently squeezed her hip, making Maia almost gasp. Was he aware what he was doing? Her heart rate shot up instantly. »I usually don’t go to festivities like this,« he confessed, oblivious to what he was doing to his partner with his gentle touches. Or was he aware and wanted her to go a little crazy? »But I enjoy spending time with you, so I don’t mind.« She enjoyed being around him too. Especially if he displayed his affection out in the open. »Would be weird if you didn’t, I’m your girlfriend after all,« she finally said, emptying her cup to place it on the table before her. It felt weird to refer to herself as his girlfriend – partner felt more fitting. »We might have to find another place to watch the fireworks soon.«
Din was right. Besides the tarps that obstructed most of their view, the buildings were also limiting their vision down here. »We might be able to climb up onto the hangar roof back at Peli’s,« he theorized. They would be on their own there, which meant Maia might also get the kisses she had been yearning for. The wine slowly worked its magic and the brunette got a little courageous. »Or you carry me on one of your strong shoulders and we fly up there.« With one of his arms still around her, she turned around to fully face him, chest against chest. »We’ll find a way,« Din promised with a gentle nod.
She looked up into the visor and wrapped her arms around his waist. Her eyes sparkled almost as much as her dress did. »You’ve got all eyes on you,« Din softly stated, leaning the helmet forward until it rested against her forehead. She closed her eyes for a moment. She was aware of the stares but she didn’t mind. »If ‘all’ also contains your eyes, that’s fine for me. Let them stare, I’m all yours.« She was, for what she could say, drunk. But Din was receptive to it, allowing her to show her affection and returning it. »It’s hard to keep them off of you. Not that I’m trying to.« And while not many would realize what this gesture they shared meant, Maia knew what the headbutt stood for, he had explained it to her on their first visit here. It felt like that was ages ago. As heartwarming as this display of his affection was, out here in public, her heart craved something different. »Cyare?« »Yes?« She opened her eyes, staring into that visor. »I think we should go. I want to kiss you and I can’t do that here.«
»Alright. Peli can fend for herself.« Maia wasn’t looking forward to any kind of disturbance. She wanted to be alone with Din for the rest of the evening, perhaps even for the night. »She better.« They released from their hug, Din offering his hand for her to hold onto. And who would Maia be to not take his hand when it was the only part of his body she could feel at this moment? Same as before, the crowds separated as soon as they recognized the helmet as belonging to a Mandalorian. Maia walked in front of Din, so he had an eye on her and could make sure no one came too close to her. Maia, on the other hand, focused more on the few couples that hid in the shade of the alleys, kissing, and getting a little too comfortable out in public. There was a lot of bare skin she could see. Kisses, tight embraces, and an occasional halfway pulled up skirt, a hand on a thigh. For a moment she wondered if the festival just turned into a festival of love or if the merchants put something into the drinks. It would make sense, because she also wondered what it would feel like to feel Din’s hand on her thigh, squeezing her just as he had done with her hip.
The music got quieter and quieter the closer they came to the the hangar. The sound of the drums remained for the longest, like the city’s heartbeat. Maia had not realized how loud it had been at the festival with everyone talking and also the music. But now that they were approaching a quiet part of town, it was almost like the silence was suffocating her. It was still nothing like the silence in the facility, but her ears felt a little stuffed. The hangar appeared before them and as soon as they were close enough, they looked for a way to get up to the roof. It made sense that there wouldn’t be any on the outside of the building, though, so they went inside. Next to Maia’s ship there was something under a large tarp she hadn’t registered before. Despite her curiosity to see what hid beneath it, they had a more important task at hand.
»Check the apartment, I’ll see around here,« Din told her. As much as Maia didn’t want to let go of his hand, she knew it wouldn’t be for long. If they managed to reach the rooftops, she would finally get what she had been waiting for. She skipped up the stairs and spent maybe two minutes to look for a hatch in the roof of any of the rooms, to no avail. At least Peli wasn’t back yet and they had a little more time to themselves. With more careful steps she walked back down the narrow staircase to reunite with her partner. »Nothing up there,« she let him know with a soft head shake. It didn’t matter, because he had found a little ledge and a ladder, steel wire bolted into the sand stone to make steps. »Can you climb in your dress? You can change if you want to.«
There was no time to change, besides, her shoes would be the problem for climbing, not the dress. »I’m fine. The boots won’t be an issue but … just… you climb first.« She didn’t need him to be able to look underneath the skirt right now. Not that he hadn’t seen her legs last night, but she felt a little awkward about it right now. They were up on the roof just in time to see the last bit of orange on the horizon as both suns had already set. Din stood by a half-wall atop the roof which was probably up here so no one would fall to their death. Maia walked over to him to hold his hand, causing him to take the helmet off one-handed. As soon as his face was freed, he gave her a warm smile. »Hey,« he greeted her as if he hadn’t been around. He placed the helmet on the small wall before using his free hand to cup her cheek.
There he was, so close to her, and finally she was allowed to look at this pretty face again. How she loved to look into these dark brown eyes. A sparkle told her what would happen next, and sure enough, Din leaned in, closing his eyes, placing a soft kiss onto her lips. Maia’s remaining hand ran from his jaw into the hair on the back of his head, pulled him in even closer, too desperate for affection to let him off so easily. They separated just a little, just enough so Maia could whisper a »hey« back onto his lips. She gave him a soft peck afterwards. Hoping that the fireworks would announce their presence without the two having to pay too much attention, she rather focused on all the other things she wanted to get out.
She leaned back a little, waiting for him to open his eyes just how she had done. »I have to thank you for so much, cyare. I’m not only talking about allowing me to feel a little normal for a few hours today, you’ve done so much more for me. I wish I knew how to show my gratitude.« Din had changed so much since they had run into each other on Nevarro. Sure, he was still the same person, but she had gotten to know a completely new side of him, a side that probably only very few knew. Din smiled softly, laying both hands on her waist and gently pulling her in. Again she felt bumps form on her skin. His touch was magical, but so could be hers. Maia cupped his face in both of her hands now that she could. »Same here,« Din nodded. He gave her another kiss, this time a little gentler. She wasn’t pulling him into her this time around, either. »You are everything to me, cyar’ika,« he confessed after the kiss.
Din didn’t intend it, but her facial expression went from confusion to … it almost looked like hurt. Tears welled in her eyes, Maia was unsure what he was trying to tell her here. She was his everything? It was hard to believe, but looking into his eyes, all she found was sincerity. Maybe a little insecurity, but she knew Din rarely knew how to talk about his feelings. Was this what she had been waiting for? »Ni kar’tayli gar darasuum,« he mumbled and again he confused her with Mando’a. Given the context this probably meant something very important to her; and also important to him if he had to use the language of his heart to say it. »Say that again,« she softly begged him.
»I love you, Maia.« Din told her in Basic this time around, and now she knew for sure. It felt like her heart was about to bust out of her ribcage. It wouldn’t go very far as his chest armor was right against her. Din continued. »I know I’m not easy at times; I’m stubborn and I struggle to vocalize my feelings. But right now I mean it. I love you and you mean everything to me.« The brunette was unable to get any kind of reply out, she just practically jumped towards him and buried her face in his cape. All Din could do was hold her while she cried a little into the dark fabric. One of his arms remained at her waist, but the other held her by the shoulder, softly stroking her skin. »Cyar’ika,« he whispered into her hair, placing another kiss on the brown strands until she could look up at him. The guilt of looking miserable right now overcame her, but all she could find in his face was pure love. She hadn’t even gotten any kind of reaction out yet.
Fearing Din would misinterpret her little outburst, she took a deep breath. She closed her eyes once more and leaned her face against his, nuzzling into his cheek to non-verbally tell him everything was fine. »Din, why did you take so long to say that?« she asked him with the most idiotic grin on her lips. »I love you too and I’ve been trying to tell you since we’ve reunited,« she let him know, opening her eyes to see him grinning like a lovesick fool himself. Had he not gotten the hints? »Because I’m an idiot who feared you wouldn't feel the same. I’m sorry I’ve kept you waiting.« With a head shake, she suffocated this thought of his right away. »No, you said it when it felt right. It’s fine.«
What she wanted to be a kiss to seal their little confessions was interrupted by the sudden bang of fireworks in the distance. As if it had been planned to happen just now, the sky lit up in the most beautiful colors. They watched the show in silence, Maia standing next to Din, one arm behind his back, and he did the same. Her head was leaned against his shoulder, similarly to how they had sat by the campfire on their last visit. She and Din were a couple. He loved her. Maia knew she would stay with Din, whatever may come, adapt more to his way of living. They had been through so much despite knowing another so shortly, and it just felt right. They were bound together, both by the Force, call it fate, and now by love as well. She carried his clan symbol around her neck, she might one day be part of his clan officially. Maybe all of this was a sign she should leave her old life behind.
»You know…« Maia interrupted the silence that had covered the city after this short showcase of colors and shapes of light. »You might be an idiot, but you’re my idiot, cyare.« She turned around so she could give him another kiss. A hum was Din’s first response, smiling into the kiss. »I am, and you won’t get rid of me.« Was that a threat or a promise? »Who would want that, handsome? Besides, you’re a bounty hunter and would terrorize half of the galaxy to get me back,« she teased him. Seriously, why would she ever try to run from him?  Laughter erupted from Din’s throat, pushing the edges of his armor into Maia’s chest. »Sounds like me,« he decided. With her head again resting against his shoulder, Maia looked up at him with dreamy eyes, blinking slower. »I’m saving both of us the trouble.« The alcohol was slowly making her tired, perhaps she was also feeling a little more needy after Din’s confession. Cuddling up into bed sounded more tempting than standing up here. »I think we should go downstairs, you look tired,« he let her know, running his fingers through her hair to tuck it behind her ear. »That’s because I am, but I don’t want this moment to end,« she whispered.  Leaning forward to place a kiss onto her forehead, Din hummed in response. »I know,« he mumbled against her skin. Without much of a reaction, Maia sighed and let go of him to walk over to his helmet. She lifted the bucket off the wall and turned it so she could look into that visor. Debating whether it was insensitive to just put it on for a moment, she stared into the black screen. It wasn’t her helmet. »Let’s go,« she announced, more to herself than to Din, to let go of the thought.
With furrowed brows, Din looked at her. »Do you want to wear it, cyar’ika?« He approached her, taking the helmet into his hands. She didn’t even have to reply, somehow he just knew. »There’s nothing bad happening if you do, trust me.« Hesitantly she nodded and Din hovered the helmet over her head, slowly lowering it. Maia kept her eyes closed until she felt the helmet top bump into her scalp. Before anything else, the sound of her breath registered. She practically breathed against a window and she felt and heard it. Was it odd to mention that the helmet smelled like him, too? Probably. She slowly opened her eyes, not sure what to expect, but she was greeted with darkness. That… was not supposed to happen, right?
As soon as the helmet had registered that it was on a head, however, the head up display lit up and loaded the night vision. She saw Din in front of her in a green glow. Everything was green around her, she found when she rotated her head a little. It was unusual to see the yellow and orange surroundings suddenly in all the same shade of green. Even her dress looked odd, now the same color as her skin and significantly less sparkly. It was interesting, but a completely new experience for her. It was a lot at once.
»So that’s how –« she began to speak, but startled by the sound of her own voice she stopped. The modulator made Din’s voice sound threatening, whereas hers just sounded… weird in her ears. But when had she ever heard a recording of her own voice? She chuckled and shook her head, Din also grinning opposite of her. »I wanted to say ‘So that’s how you see me the whole time?’ My voice sounds so weird.« »All green?« Maia nodded. »That’s the night vision, it activates when there’s it too little natural light.« He looked up into the night sky. »There’s a lot of clouds tonight.« When his head turned back to her, one of his eyebrows rose. She was in his signature pose: One knee slightly bent, both hands at her hips. »There’s a bounty on you. I can take you in warm, or I can take you in cold.«
She must’ve looked absolutely ridiculous. In a sparkling dress, her chest very on display, no armor on her body, and an ill-fitted helmet on her head. All Din could do was absolutely lose it for a second. He regained composure only after Maia had started tapping her foot, waiting for him to be done. In reality her heart was about to explode when she heard him laugh, grinning ear to ear herself. How could she not when his laughter sounded more beautiful than the music she had listened to earlier on the plaza? »Fine, I surrender,« Din finally gave in, raising his hands. Still grinning underneath the helmet, she came closer, intertwining her fingers with his, effectively ‘capturing’ him. She came closer, leaning against his chest. »You’ve been captured by the legendary bounty hunter only known as mesh’la.« With his full peripheral vision usable for once without the helmet, Din enjoyed the view of Maia’s cleavage which she had so graciously pressed against him. He didn’t even try to be secretive about it, either.
»Such a shame, I’m powerless against you, oh legendary mesh’la,« he joined their little play. Maia was very well aware this wasn’t how bounty hunting worked and Din would’ve told her as such, had he not realized she just wanted to have some fun. »I like you, captive,« she told him after a few pronounced breaths against the cold Beskar before her. »What have you done to have such a high bounty on you, huh, pretty? Seduced the wrong woman, perhaps?« The appeal of the helmet was starting to show itself. She was flirting with him very heavily, and it didn’t bother her at all. Her face was hidden so he couldn’t see how much she was blushing. Din almost broke when she called him pretty, but she had to respect his efforts to stay in his role. »Got me. I would show you exactly what I did, but Mandalorians don’t take their helmets off.« Once again he cocked an eyebrow, but this time it seemed more playful. Was he flirting? Was she? Were they flirting? His reaction came as a surprise for sure, poor Maia staring at him behind the black visor for a moment. The temperature rose under the Beskar. »Let’s make a deal.« She had something on her mind that he could offer. He had been driving her mad with his touches all day, and she wanted to return the favor. »The helmet for your clothes.«
The only reason she even dared to say this was because her face was hidden. This was her way of payback, somehow. For all the touches that had driven her wild today. The alcohol and all the endorphins in her blood made her wish for him to just pin her against a wall and kiss her like the world ended tomorrow. »My clothes?« Din’s head tilted sideways. »That seems a little unfair, mesh’la. Me taking everything off and I just get to see your face.« Maybe he realized what he had practically promised her just now. With a look in both directions, Din focused on her again. »Besides, we should go downstairs for that.« Maia couldn’t keep up the facade any longer. She let go of his hands and lifted the helmet off of her head. The cooler night air hit her face and she was certain her cheeks were blushed quite heavily. »You’re right, it’s not particularly fair for you.« She smiled at him when she gave him the helmet. »But… I don’t want to remind you that you kind of owe me after you caught me in a bathtub… but you caught me in a bathtub.« All jokes aside, she was curious. That little glimpse of his lower belly wasn’t enough, and after everything tonight she wanted to touch him.
»Fair enough, you haven’t had the chance yet to ambush me while I’m taking a bath,« he nodded. Din put the helmet back on and looked at her through the visor. His hands rested on her waist once more and she smiled. »Your hands are to blame,« she explained, taking his hands off of her body so she could walk over to the ladder. She turned around so she could descend the first steps. »I don’t know why it is so extreme today. But you touch me and… my thoughts run wild.« Her gaze unfocused for a moment, images of his hand on her thigh flashing in her mind. She looked over to him and gave him a grin before her head disappeared behind the ledge.
»Do you want me to stop touching you, then?« she heard Din tease from up top, and as much as she wanted to reply, a rather loud ‘don’t you dare!’ would only call for attention of others that might have been close. The way into Peli’s apartment was short, at least, and they’d have their full privacy here. Maia had a good look at the small storage room which just barely fit the mattress Peli had dragged in there earlier today. There were some shelves starting about half a meter above the ground with just enough space left that Din could put his armor parts up there. »Can the door be closed?« he asked as soon as he had found himself next to the brunette. Reaching around the door frame, Maia found a control panel inside the small chamber. »Not sure I want to know why Peli’s storage can be closed from the inside but we can.« Maia started taking her boots off, Din seemingly just looking at her while she was bent over for a moment.
When she was on her feet, Maia walked over to Din, poking her index into his chest plate. »This damn metal has been in my way all day,« she complained, instantly getting to work to remove his pauldrons. It was the easiest thing for her to reach, and with her being in practically nothing besides her dress, Din definitely could use a little help. She had seen how his armor had been put on, so taking it off should work the same way. When his shoulders were free of the metal, she squeezed them to feel at least a little of the muscles hidden underneath. She had felt them last night, cuddled into him while they slept. Frankly, she was looking forward to spending another night with him, in his arms, listening to his heartbeat. Piece by piece Din’s armor got taken off, and the flak vest followed. Din enveloped Maia in a hug when the vest was off, leaning his head against hers. Maia of course wrapped her arms around him and sighed. »Much better,« she purred, closing her eyes to savor the moment. »I could get used to this,« Din hummed. »The hug or me helping you with the armor?« »Both.« She felt one of his hands travel up her back until his finger tips grazed her skin. »I enjoy touching you,« he mumbled. Maia let out a sigh and nodded, further nuzzling into his jacket. »You’re so gentle.« »Is it too much?« »No, it’s perfect. But I want to touch you too.«
Din took the hint and took more off. Boots, the jacket and his pants found their rightful spot next to the armor until he was in front of his partner again. »Happy now?«
Maia smiled at him and nodded. Her hands were on his shirt, his body heat sending more shivers through her body. Everything about him was driving her heart rate up today, desperate to touch him and to be touched. Her right hand snaked underneath the fabric by the neckline, feeling his shoulder muscles underneath her finger tips. Feeling his heat even more now, she practically melted against his chest, her left hand also gliding underneath his shirt just from the hem at his waist. Din felt her lips at the side of his neck, kisses upon kisses traveling along his jawline and down to his pulse point. His groan vibrated against her lips. She knew Din was sensitive to touches to his face, but learning that his neck was sensitive as well delighted her. »I would only be happier if we had the same cozy bed we had last night,« she told him in between kisses. »Maybe when the festival is over.«
With a very gentle hand did Din pull Maia off of him. He gave her an apologetic look, only pulling her away from him to take the shirt off that had only been in the way anyway. There he was, in all of his glory. Maia got to see his upper body and the brunette was a little overwhelmed. Scars decorated his tan body, she saw the curve of muscles cast subtle shadows on his skin. His skin was a lot darker than hers, it was so obvious with her hand on him. Her index traveled along his body, following every scar she found on her descent from his shoulder down his chest. »You have so many scars,« she softly said. She didn’t mean to insult him, of course. »I have. I’ve been through a lot and it’s showing.« Would Mandalorians consider scars to be beautiful, in a way? Their conversation on Glavis came to mind. Din had said her scars were a testament to what she had survived. And that her body still deserved worship.
»Do you need help with your dress?« His question came so out of nowhere that she halted her movements just when her fingers had reached the waistband of his underwear. Technically he had seen more of her than he would now, but then again, he would see her chest, and all the changes she had gone through due to Luke’s rigorous training. She took a deep breath, reminding herself that one, Din loved her, and two, that he could see a lot of the changes already, the dress wasn’t hiding too much. Even her arms and shoulders had become a lot wider. He slowly walked behind her, placed his hands on her shoulders and let them travel down to her zipper. »Can I see more of you, cyar’ika?« he purred into her ear, leaning forward. His voice made her shudder. »Of course, cyare,« Maia said after she swallowed the lump in her throat.
You want this. You want him to love all of you.
She heard the zipper open and felt the tension on her ribcage leave with every bit of movement from his hand. As soon as the zipper was completely down, Din pulled the sparkly fabric over her head and as soon as it was tossed into the same corner as his shirt had landed, he wrapped both arms around her from the back. Now it was his turn to kiss along her shoulders and neck, just like she had done with him. Of course it felt good, the subtle scratch his beard left on her skin in combination with his soft lips. One of her hands was tangled in his hair, the other rested on one of his arms. His hands laid in her waist, lower arms crossed over her midsection. »What are you doing to me?« Her voice was nothing more than a whisper. »I can’t help it,« he tried to respond in a whisper, but what came out sounded more like a growl. »I have this urge to constantly be close to you. I don’t know why, it’s unusual for me to be so needy.«
That confession sent a shockwave through her body, down her spine and right into her core. Was it the kisses, the sudden skin to skin contact, or the little groans she heard come from him? Din was getting so into it, his breath had become more noticeable. Her heart rate increased just because she was so close to him now, allowed to feel everything of him if she wanted to. When Maia turned her head to look at him, only then did she realize that her own breath had become louder. The passionate attack on her neck paused when Din returned her gaze. »Mesh’la, you’re driving me insane. In the best way possible.« Just now she felt one of his hands leave her waist, traveling up her body towards her chest. Another shiver went through her. If Din kept doing whatever he did to her, she would lose her mind. Her heart raced underneath his finger tips, she was getting dizzy. »You’re driving me mad with how much I want you to…« her breath hitched when his thumb had reached the curve of her breast. His eyes asked for permission to proceed, and he received the smalled nod from her. »Touch me.«
And he did. Just at the same time as she felt his finger graze her nipple, he leaned in and gave her a soft kiss, muffling both moans that sat in their throats. She thanked the stars that he was holding onto her, because it felt like Maia’s knees would give out any second, the tension in her core turning unpleasant. Din palmed her breast for just a moment, shivering himself when her hand traveled from his hair down to his face.
He finally let go of her, walking around her to get a better look at her body. He didn’t do it in secret either, he very openly scanned her when he stood before her, one hand on her waist. Technically he had looked at her with the same hungry eyes earlier, but this time Maia felt a little uncomfortable and tilted her head. Her insecurities got the best of her. »Do you still think I’m beautiful?« His eyes shot up to her eyes, brows furrowed. »Of course, what makes you think anything that I told you changed?« »Because I’ve changed. I’ve put on weight ever since we’ve separated.«
»Come here,« Din pulled her close, chest against chest, one hand on the small of her back, the other holding her face. Maia looked into his eyes, both hands on his chest, feeling his heart pump against his ribs. »You’re beautiful, no matter what. You’ve seen yourself in that dress and felt beautiful. What is going on in that pretty head of yours?« »Do you not think I look less feminine with all the muscle I got?« He shook his head. »You need that muscle, mesh’la. It’s dangerous out there, especially when you’re with me, and you need to be strong. If anything I actually prefer to see you like this.« he kissed her forehead.
»If you feel uncomfortable when I look at you, I’ll stop,« he added. It wasn’t that easy for her. »I know you’d never hurt me but… being inspected feels uncomfortable. It reminds me of my past and… I don’t know if I’ve repressed anything that will come up again.« She leaned into him, slowly feeling the drag of the alcohol and also his presence making her really tired. »I just have to get used to it. I enjoy looking at you too, so I get it.« She nuzzled her face into the crook of his neck. »I love you,« Din whispered. »I love you too.« He rotated his head toward her, burying his face in her hair and closing his eyes for a moment. »Do you want to lie down?« Did he feel the weight of her practically hanging off of him? »Can you read minds?« she smiled up at him, bumped the tip of her nose against his. »I can barely stand any more.«
That was enough for Din to change location with her, over to the storage rather than standing in the little living room in front. They laid down on the bed, Maia instantly by his side to feel his body heat. Din turned around one last time to closed the door before wrapping his arms around her. »Is it unusual for you to be seen, too?« she asked him in the darkness of the storage room. After the door was shut, they laid in complete darkness. »It is. But it’s okay.« With a gentle nudge to his shoulder, Maia made him roll him onto his back so she could halfway lay on his chest. »If I’m doing things too quickly or crossing a line, tell me. I’m new to this relationship-thing and I don’t want to overwhelm you,« Din reminded her. Maia sighed. »Most of this feels new to me, too. The last relationship I had was when I was maybe 17. I didn’t have any time for a partner. Nor any interest. I had to survive.« and find you.
She had looked for him for so long. How long had it been since she had first witnessed the man with the helmet on in her mind? Almost 15 years? And Din had been an adult even then, even if he had been significantly less reserved and silent. »Din?« »Yes?« »How old are you?« Din, who had been running his fingers along her shoulder, stopped and turned his face towards her. Was he shocked that she didn’t know? Was he surprised that she just now remembered to ask? »I’m 40,« he grumbled. She tried so hard to not react in any way, but a smirk crept up to her lips. In pitch black darkness it probably didn’t matter if her face showed her emotion. »Old fart,« she finally said. Din scoffed, but she kissed him gently, which he received with a little hum. »I love you regardless,« she promised. She really didn’t care too much.
»You’re the first woman I have these kinds of feeling for. And you might be the only one.« She nuzzled into his face. The thought of being the only woman he would ever love felt special, of course it did. »I want you to know that I did some things in my past that I’m not proud of. I was a mercenary for a while and treated a lot of people unfairly. Maybe the others I worked with influenced me, I don’t know. I made up my mind about being more honorable and I left the group to become part of the bounty hunters.« Why did he tell her now? Stars, what had she done that she wasn’t proud of? A lot. »Do you think about your past often?« she asked him. »Do you feel guilty about it?« »Sometimes I do. I think everyone isn’t proud about some things in their life. And I would do things differently today.« He caressed her back and took a deeper breath. »I’ve been alone for such a long time. After my parents had passed, there was only the Creed and the Mandalorians.« He sighed. »I’d never thought I’d have a foundling. Nor a beautiful woman by my side. And now you’re here with me and it feels better than anything I could’ve dreamed of.«
Maybe Maia knew why she and Din were connected. They had a shared fate. Taken from their parents one way or another, forced to grow up in a society so different from theirs. He was the child that Mandalore had gained – in a way; while she was the child that Mandalore lost a few years later. They were the same, but yet so fundamentally different. Din had been what she had needed all this time. Someone who could show her what family felt like, who could teach her what her parents couldn’t. Someone who would actually protect her from harm and made sure she felt loved. He would feel her love too. Din had been deprived of touch for who knows how long, and there she was. Someone who was willing to be close to him, regardless of if she could see him. She could read him well enough, even with the helmet on.
Maia nuzzled further into him and spoke against his skin. »I’ve never thought I could find out anything about my past. That it would haunt me until my last breath. Then I found you and I wanted to look ahead rather than live in the past. It was fine for me to give it up, because I wanted you. The choice was mine, become a Jedi-Master or leave to be with you. I knew Luke would take on Grogu and I was sure you needed me. Or I hoped you would. I came back to you and suddenly I had both. The outlook of a future with you, and part of my past. My name.« She raised her head to place a kiss onto his chin. »It won’t be easy for us. A Mandalorian and a somewhat-Jedi-somewhat-Mandalorian. No one will ever take me seriously.« He grumbled, but she shut him up with a kiss before he could get a word out. »I’ve thought about something. Maybe it’s time to leave ‘Maia’ behind me. If I stay with you I should start respecting your culture. And mine. And the first step should be honoring the name my parents gave me.«
»If that’s your choice, cyar’ika. You want me to call you Arana, then?« It sounded so nice when he said it. »You can call me whatever you want at the end of the day, but… yes.« »In that case,« he pulled her in and gave her a kiss. »I love you, Arana. I know things won’t be easy and you would probably have avoided a lot of chaos had you stayed with Luke,« he swallowed. »but I’m glad you chose me. I wouldn’t have been able to forget you any way. And I would’ve missed you. I missed you as soon as you had turned your back on Tatooine.« »I like how my name sounds out of your mouth. I missed you too. Your gentle nature that you hide underneath the metal and the muscle.« Din chuckled, probably thinking she was lying. But he was. A big old softie underneath his armor.
There was a moment of silence before Maia asked about something that had been on her mind for a while now. »Can we talk about Glavis for a second?» »If you want to.« »I feel really bad about threatening to just leave you behind.« Din hummed, not sure what to say. What would he have said? She knew she had hurt his feelings. »You can be honest, I hurt you. I can take it.« »It didn’t feel too nice to hear it. But we both behaved like idiots. I’m sorry as well.« »I forgive you if you forgive me.« »I do.« they sealed the deal with a soft kiss. When she laid back down onto his chest, Din sighed and wrapped his arms around her, one hand caressing her arm.
»You know where Grogu is, right?« She nodded slowly. »Unless Luke has changed his plans in the last… 72 hours, then yes, I know where they are. And you will go there if I tell you.« Of course, Maia didn’t want to be harsh towards him. Din missed the little one, and in a way she understood. »I know I shouldn’t,« he mumbled. »Similar to you, I can’t forget him. I want to see that he is okay. Thought bounty hunting would distract me, but it didn’t. I want to give him the present I have, that’s all. Maybe if I see him one more time I will feel better about this.» »You know you’re not supposed to,« she reminded him, biting her lip when his hand stopped caressing her. She sighed, their communication skills really needed work. »I can’t stop you, only make sure you don’t cause any trouble on the way there. Because I’m not leaving your side.« Maia’s heart was heavy. She knew Din would just face heartbreak when Grogu didn’t want to come back with them. If Luke even let them see the child this soon. »Can we at least get you to train with the Darksaber before? I’m almost certain we will run straight into another mess and I don’t want you to lose a limb this time around. You can also teach me something in return. Negotiating, for example. Or you teach me some words in Mando’a.«
»Alright,« Din gave up. Her hand snaked behind his neck, her finger tips running into the hair at the back of his head. »I know you worry about him. He’s okay, I am sure of it. I just don’t want you lying here with a heavy heart, cyare. Everything will turn out fine.« »I hope so. Good night, Arana.« »Good night, my love,« she hummed and raised her hip so she could lie on him completely, where she would stay for the entire night.

Dick Winters
You are more than welcome to this man a big hug. I feel when you guys do hug, it’s so nice, like he’s so warm and I just know he would smell good when you hug him. I think he would also ask maybe if something had happened or if something changed to where you’d want a hug from him, “Are you okay? If you need me i’m always here”
Lewis Nixon
He’s just like “okay?” at first. He isn’t really sure why you’d want a hug from him out of the blue, The first part of the hug would be low-key so awkward and then towards the end, he would hug you like an actual human being would. The reason of him being so timid is he probably though you were going to prank him of some kind or put something on him while hugging him. But nonetheless he definitely enjoys it, (even if he refuses to tell you that)
Carwood Lipton
“You want a hug? Well sure!” AHHH HES SO NICE OMG. This man would be so kind about it, like you want a hug from him? Then he’s gonna make sure you get that hug. He’s also just glad that you asked for a hug from him, you could’ve asked anyone else, but you asked him, and the thought that you subconsciously picked him over the other guys makes him blush a little
Joe Toye
When you ask for a hug his whole face changes, he goes from 1-100 reallll quick. He knows it’s not a big gesture and you might not even want a hug in a romantic way, but just asking him politely if he can hug you just makes him go nuts “You want a hug y/n?” in his sexy raspy voice OMGGG. And when you hug him, you’d feel his strong muscles around you and it would feel so nice. He’d be so warm and the strong hold he’d have on you would make you WEAK. The rest of the day he would be extra extra close to you.
Joe Liebgott
You know that one photo of him of him looking up with a smirk on his face? Yeah that’s the same exact face he’d make when you ask him for a hug. “C’mere” In his sexy accent oh my goodness. He’d just be there with open arms until you got to him. When you guys did hug he would hold you tight. He’d have his chin resting on your head, just holding you til you let go. After the hug he’d be smirking at you the whole time. “What’s gotten into you, y/n? hmm?” While he looks down at you, still holding you by the waist (omg omg i’m internally screaming thinking abt this rn)
Bill Guarnere
“You want a hug? Well come here!” He’d actually be really chill about it, (unlike Nix LOL) I think he’d be a good hugger tbh, like he’d be one of those types that give you one big big bear hug that takes your breath away for a moment LOL. He would wrap his arms around you as tight as he can and he might even pick you up a bit if he’s feeling extra. After the hug he’d ask you why you wanted one, and you’d be like, “I just wanted one from you” and his heart would MELTTT “Well come get me anytime you want a hug, you know i’ll give you one anytime”
George Luz
When you ask him for a hug his face just lights up with a huge smile on his face, “Of course y/n!” He’d be the one to actually initiate a hug between you two, I feel like he’d be a real passionate hugger, like when you hug him it’d be 100% bliss, he’s warm and soft, and the way he holds you automatically makes you feel safe and calm. It’s honestly so amazing. He’s arguably one of the best huggers in this bunch for sure. “Well did you like it y/n? Because if you did then we could definitely do it again sometime” With the cutest smile on his face omg.
Bull Randleman
Seriously if you get a hug from him you are so lucky. Arguably one of the best huggers #2. When you ask him for a hug he’d be more than happy to give you one. His hugs would feel so nice and secure. Like youre hugging a giant teddy bear, you’d be fully buried in his chest and I just know he’d be enjoying it 100% He’s so glad that you asked him for a hug, so he’s gotta make SURE it’s his best hug he’s ever given yk. Once you guys were done hugging he’d give you a sweet kiss on the cheek, before leaving to go do whatever he was doing before, leaving you just like 🤭 the whole time to yourself
Eugene Roe
“You’d like one?” OMG HE’D BE SO ADORABLE. Arguably one of the best hugger #3 His hug would be absolute heaven. I just know he would smell good, his hugs would be big and loving, he’d be soft when you hug him and he would be so gentle not to try and he too rough when he hugs you. like one hug from him and you already feel better than ever, “Are you okay y/n?” “Do you need anything else?” (AHH he’s so caring and thoughtful my heart is exploding omg)
Floyd Talbert
This guy is SO ready when you ask him for a hug. He just runs up to you and sweeps you up off of your feet. He makes sure to give you one giant hug, it would catch you off guard so bad, like you were not expecting that at ALL. He would be really swift and strong with the hug so it was over right after it begun. “Why’d you want a hug, y/n?” Of course he asks you AFTER he gives you the hug. He’s giving you that infamous smirk of his while looking into your eyes, “Well did you like it, doll?”
Skip Muck
you want a hug? Ask skip and oh you got it. When you ask him for a hug he would probably make a little funny comment about it before giving you a nice warm hug. “Well I was hoping you’d ask for one actually” His hug would feel sooo good, like his hugs are an ultimate pick-me-up. They make you feel so much better. Plus the warmth and the softness from his chest and arms are a huge plus. “How’d you like it, y/n?”
Don Malarkey
Hugs from Don release a whole other level of stress off of you fr. When you ask him for a hug he wouldn’t even say anything, he’d just get up to you and wrap his body around yours. His hugs would feel absolutely amazing. He would be so comfortable and hugging him would make you feel so loved and happy. He would ask you if you were okay afterwards or why you wanted a hug. “Just cause I wanted one from you” He’d smile so hard. “Me? A hug from me?” you’d hit him on the shoulder “Yes you, silly” He ended up being the one asking for hugs after that.
Babe Heffron
Serotonin boost but times that by a thousand. That’s what he feels like when you ask him to hug you. “You sure, Because you know my hugs are lethal” He’d joke around with you but is kinda freaking out. He lets out an audible sigh that he did NOT mean for you to hear when he hugs you, leaving him super embarrassed but he still tries to play it off as if it didn’t happen. “Are you sure your hugs are any danger again? Because the only person I know who was really enjoying it was you” Of course you had to tease him back about it. Making his face even redder than before.
Frank Perconte
You want a hug? You got it. Just ask the man and he will be more than happy to give you one. “Come here y/n” He’d motion you over to him once you asked if you could get a hug from him. His hug would feel very firm but also comfortable at the same time. Almost like a dad hug if that makes sense? I think when you hug him it would last quite a bit. He’d rock you back and forth a little bit before letting go of you. He would just stare into your eyes before kissing your cheek, “So you’d say i’m a good hugger? Right y/n?”
Shifty Powers
Oh man. He is NERVOUS when you ask him for a hug. Of course he’s gonna give you one, because he cares about you too much to decline your offer, but you also might need to give him a moment before he hugs you because he doesn’t want to mess this hug up at all. When he does hug you it feels like heaven. It’s so warm and it makes you feel so relaxed and peaceful. He is so good at hugging (even though he’d never admit it) and when you guys are done hugging you would tell him, “Dang Shifty, you are one good hugger” Winking at him before walking off. Leaving him with his face fully beet red.
Thank you for your request lovely! This was such a good idea and I hope you enjoy!!! If you have any other ideas or suggestions make sure to let me know <333

Little rant about Wynonna Earp: Vengeance.
I am someone who has a deep love and nostalgia for this show, it was a really important part of my coming out and discovering myself journey etc and I can honestly say I was obsessed with Wynonna Earp. With that in mind I did genuinely quite enjoy Vengeance and I’m so happy to see all the characters again so any of my criticisms are with that love in mind. That being said there were quite a few choices that frustrated me that I have to get off my chest.
Lowkey afraid to post this because I know so much of the fandom think Wynonna Earp is immune to any criticism (read: the whole racism debacle).
Also I’m sure a lot of my criticisms could also be levied at the show itself but tbh I haven’t rewatched it since it came out so I’d have to rewatch it and put on my critical brain.
SPOILERS BELOW
1. I think the more the show puts Mercedes through the wringer the less of an impact it has. As awful as it sounds I kinda wish something happening to one of the other characters (eg. Nicole) but not necessarily death, could’ve been the catalyst. (I’m less strongly opinionated on this point I just thought it’s worth mentioning.)
2. I though the fight choreography was pretty shit, I felt absolutely no stakes during the hell hound attacks.
3. This might be a controversial opinion, but I think there WASN’T ENOUGH fan service. Considering this is a reunion almost entirely aimed at fans on a random-ass streaming service, intended to lean in to fans nostalgia. Unless I’ve missed it they only mentioned Dolls once (quite subtly and they mention Bunny Fucking Loblaw more than him) never mentioned Rosita, Robin, Chrissy, Rachel Valdez, Kate etc etc and again I might have missed this but they didn’t even mention Julian??? Glad Jeremy showed up at the end though
These next three are the most egregious in my opinion.
4. WHY TF DID THEY MAKE WYNONNA A COP??? It makes no fucking sense for her character. So much of her character arc is about distancing herself from her father and making her own path then she follows in his footsteps???? If they wanted to give her a job to show she was settling into the Purgatory community and still on the look out for demons she could have I don’t know, been a Park Ranger or a PI or literally anything else. Like I get that she has people she trusts and loves on the force in Nicole and formerly Randy but this still doesn’t make sense to me and feels like more copaganda than the show already has.
5. Wtf does Emily Andras have against Wynonna being happy with her child. At the very least even if it was unsafe for Alice to live with Wynonna they could show her visiting her and forming a relationship (which she so desperately wants). It also feels like a disservice to Doc to not follow that up. I wish the ending had been Wynonna sitting with Alice and telling her about Doc instead of just ‘hey welcome to the force! Congrats!’
6. Considering the show has such limited representations of First Nations peoples (I’m struggling to think of any), the only Native American character being a demon feels dodgy af to me. But that alone could theoretically be talked out of as ‘there are demons of every race’. Ok, then WTF would you have your main character making fun of the Native characters calling her ancestor a coloniser??

Been thinking a lot about this and wanted your thoughts. Isn't it strange the only character shown to not be openly afraid or judgemental of Shadow is Amy? I think the only one that comes close to that is Rouge but even then
A lot of characters are easily intimidated, scared of, not trustful or even judgey of Shadow a lot of the time. Which given some past actions and his general vibe is understandable but it never seems to apply to Amy
Even when she mistook him for Sonic she wasn't immediately scared afterwards just confused and later encourages him to save the world because she believes that he is a good person deep down. It's especially prominent in the Sonic takeover video, like when it's revealed that both Shadow and Amy enjoy Taylor Swift?
Sonic is surprised that Shadow the Edgy boy likes a pop artist and treats is a semi big deal. Amy meanwhile is just happy they have something in common, not even a 'oh that's surprising coming from you', just general happy they share similar music tastes
I might be thinking too deeply into it but it occurred to me that Amy never treats Shadow as someone to be scared of and treats him as no different from anyone else right from the start.
Tbh, I don’t think it’s strange at all. It’s standard Amy behavior. Metal Sonic is a scary robot who kidnapped her as a kid, but she still helped him without hesitation in that Sonic Mania short, even after he startled her. Gamma was an armed robot who was keeping her in a cell, but she didn’t show any fear toward him; she stood up to him to protect a Flicky, then befriended him immediately. She saw Silver nearly murder Sonic with incredible powers she’d never encountered before, and she still jumped in front of him to protect Sonic anyway. The werehog was big and scary, but not only did she accept Sonic in that form, she hugged the werehog the first time she saw him and showed no discomfort about it, merely expressing confusion at having hugged the wrong person even though she actually got it right that time.
She just doesn’t see anyone as a monster. And while that’s wonderful and wholesome, it’s a little worrisome, too. Rouge likes and trusts Shadow, but I don’t think she’s unaware of the extensive damage he could do. Omega probably feels the same way. That’s the wise way of looking at it.
But Amy? It’s not just her faith in the goodness of others, it’s straight-up naiveté. Her upbringing was rife with violence, kidnapping, danger, and death, and now she doesn’t know what’s normal. This is the same girl who somehow waltzed onto Prison Island with the intention of casually rescuing Sonic from a high-security prison by herself. If Tails hadn’t shown up, she easily could’ve died! She’s honestly lucky she’s gotten this far without being seriously injured or worse.
I’m sure Shadow loves that she doesn’t fear him and truly values her for that, even if he doesn’t say so, but he’d worry about her, too. I can picture him thinking, “She clearly has no sense of self-preservation. I’ll have to look after her to make sure nothing happens.” Maybe he already does. It could figure into their interactions at Cryptic Castle in ShTH. This sweet girl takes one look at him, of all people, as terrifying as he knows he is--on the darkest story routes you can take, no less--and she says, “Friend? :D” before running off alone into a dangerous, haunted castle to save a child and a Chao. So he follows her. Because she clearly doesn’t know how to stay safe. And she’d be safer by his side than pretty much anyone else’s not only because he’s as strong as you can get in this universe, but because he’ll go farther than anyone else to protect the ones he loves. He knows how it feels to lose someone important, and he won’t let it happen again. It’s time someone put Amy first!
Still can’t figure out how Sega made these two characters so perfect for each other *by accident.* Most movies I’ve seen can’t craft things so well even on purpose.

i hope this doesn't sound too personal but could u clue us in on what u do career wise? im only asking bc im currently an undergrad english lit major and im kinda feeling hopeless about job prospects 😅 so i've just kinda been incessantly asking any english lit major i come across about what they've done with their degree. feel free to ignore if u don't feel comfortable answering btw! no worries i understand this is the internet and u might not want to share anything too personal with strangers. but u don't have to be specific just a general idea
oh god yeah I never ended up using my degree tbh. I’m sure some people do wind up using their lit degrees but I work in tech now (won’t say exactly what I do, but I’m on the product side in the tech industry). Got the job right out of uni thankfully. I was offered a job in publishing at that same time, so I could’ve used my degree for that job, but the pay was just so far below what I was offered to work for a similar entry level job in tech that I couldn’t justify it.
I loved my experience as an English lit student but I do have to admit I wish I’d gone to school for something else and just taken literature courses on the side. The job prospects were super bleak back when I graduated and I don’t even know what they’re like now. That being said, it also has a lot to do with networking and I’ve always been a really shy/not super ambitious person so that probably made it harder for me than other people.

I’ll probably post more about this in more detail, especially now that the reboot is pretty much done and dealt with. (There is no confirmed Season 3. Stop lying.)
So you know, most of what I have to say in this post is rambling and complaining, because I am ticked off. So if you like the ending of the season, good for you… this is the opposite opinion to that.
Spoilers for Season Two and it’s ending:
This season, for me, is definitely above All Stars and Paketiew. Definitely. I genuinely enjoyed the first two thirds of the season, and its slip ups weren’t too big of deal breakers for me on the season. (Except Millie. I will forever be salty about it and I can’t say I like her character anymore after what this season did with her)
The season was funny, it was engaging in a lot of plot lines, I thought the order was pretty clean, I’m enjoying it and really invested in how all of these plot lines conclude….
AAAAAAANNNND then Zee outs Caleb.
I break the season to three acts. Pre-Merge is the first act.
Episodes 6-8 is the second act.
And right when Zee outs Caleb, is where I’d say the Second Act ends, and the Third Act begins.
And the third act, in my humble opinion, is GOSH. AWFUL.
Like, OH MY GOSH, they screwed up EVERYTHING.
Except MK and Julia in Episode 9. That’s wholesome.
But other than them, literally ALL the other plot lines in the season that I was invested in were completely botched in conclusion. And I can’t like these plot lines anymore.
How do you do that?! Like, WHAT happened here?!
This may seem incohesive, but I’m just that baffled.
I don’t even care about the elimination order right now. You CAN make whatever finalist you want work so long as the story suits it. So Im not gonna say “Oh Julia should’ve won” or something like that, as a complaint. That’s personal preference.
Remember the post I made complimenting Priya and Caleb’s relationship plotline?
That aged like milk. I don’t like them anymore. They were obnoxious as I’ll get out and I just wanted them booted ASAP.
I made a post about how I thought Priya would quit instead of being eliminated. I do think that would’ve been better than what we got because at least there Priya would be making a conscious decision that no one else can factor in. Instead she acts stupid for the sake of Julia and spends the rest of the season whining about Caleb instead of the what they’ve discussed and learned from each other before.
And Caleb being a finalist? After what he’d done I’m shocked he wasn’t booted in a heartbeat after that.
I don’t think they should’ve became a couple tbh. Apologize and make up, sure, but not get together in this whole mess. With how the story was going, it seemed they’d realize and recognize that. But no. It lead to nothing. Way to go.
Damien? I don’t care if you thought he should’ve won or not. That’s not the point. The writers didn’t want Damien to be a finalist. Fine. Okay. Just make an elimination that’s logical and wraps up his storyline-
NOPE. Julia stole the idol. Which I expected, but it’s something she somehow managed to do when paranoid Damien was always around it btw. She did this OFF SCREEN. So even the writers don’t want to come up how she managed to do that difficult task. YOU COULDNT AT LEAST SHOW US?!
Why would they even eliminate Damien? No one was even after him. It’s because they didn’t want to separate Priya and Caleb…
Stupid.
It really solidified to me that Damien had no relevance to this seasons story and could’ve been written out of the story. As tragic as that is to say. Like, make Priya or anyone on the Rats the one Millie pushes down the 4 Point Slide, make Priya find the idol and lose it at her elimination to Julia, and nothing changes.
What a waste of Damien’s character.
I love Julia in both seasons. So you know. I genuinely think she and Bowie have the best character arcs of the two seasons combined. I was actually kind of routing for her in the finale?? Ngl???? Like, I didn’t hate her, I found a nastier World Tour Heather, someone who WORKED for her goals. Good person? No. But an intriguing one to follow.
But this is the definition of plot armor. Multiple times they had to make the other characters act irrationally just so they don’t vote Julia’s ass off in a heartbeat. Which, if they were rational, would do cause everyone KNOWS that Julia is a bad person!
That’s why in the first season and the first half of this season, she had to make herself getting voted off NOT an option for the others. So she won challenges to get immunity. She allied herself with MK to get an extra vote. She got on Bowies worst side to make him want to work with her.
But in the second half it’s pure plot armor.
I thought Bowies elimination and how she managed to convince an entire team to go with it was stretching things. But I could push it aside cause it made sense for Bowie to leave in that episode.
It just got worse.
Once MK is gone, Julia has nobody on her side and no excuse. They should all vote her off in a heartbeat. But they don’t because they are stupid.
They somehow trust her?! With everything she says?!
Even the smartest characters like Priya trust her. She says she knows she’s being used, but decides to let it happen. That is very OOC for Priya. One of the most game-smart characters in the entire series!
Julia being a finalist is actually an idea I’m on board for on paper. But it was just illogical how she got there.
Also, they cut the villains hair off AGAIN.
TOTAL DRAMA, PLEASE STOP SHAVING CHARACTERS HEADS. IT WAS GOOD EITH HEATHER CAUSE IT MADE SENSE FOR HER CHARACTER AND THE STORY. AFTER THAT ITS ILLOGICAL AND CRUEL FOR NO REASON. THERE ARE OTHER WAYS FOR VILLAINS TO GET COMEUPPANCE BUT YOU KEEP USING THE SAME ONE EVEN WHEN IT MAKES NO SENSE. ITS NOT FULFILLING ANYMORE AND WERE ALL SICK AND SEEING IT. YOU DRAGGED THIS THROUGH THE MUD, KILLED IT, AND NOW REVIVED IT JUST TO SMACK IT WITH A SLEDGEHAMMER.
STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!!
*breathes*
At least Julia and MK were great. Mostly because they mostly weren’t in the third act together.
Oh yeah, and there’s also Wayne and Raj. I like them. They’re fun. I like their pre-merge story.
And then Wayne won??
Yeah, Wayne, you know, the comic relief character with no strategy in a very strategic-centric season. Winning.
I can’t tell if it’s supposed to be a joke or not.
If it is, it’s funny like, the first time you see it.
If it’s not, and we’re supposed to take that seriously…
Ooh boy.
I see people compare this to Owen. I don’t think that’s fair given both seasons separate contexts, the characters screen time impact, and theming.
I personally compare this to Beth. Both are tied to someone very similar to them until the very end where their partner, who got more to do, gets eliminated, and then they proceed to fly under the radar because they’re the least nasty people left in a nasty cast remaining.
Now HOLD ON. I am NOT saying Wayne is on the same quality of a character as Beth. Far from it. Wayne will always be the better one of the two for me, because I actually enjoy him on screen, and most importantly, he wasn’t a hypocritical gross cheating creep.
Wayne winning a season CAN work on paper. I’m not opposed to it.
But this is not the way to do it.
This isn’t a guy who has won people’s hearts through being great towards them, he’s only interacted with Raj. This isn’t a guy who has quietly played his cards when necessary. This isnt a guy who has flown under the radar due to being the lesser evil. This isn’t a guy who has clear skills apparent to the viewer but not the characters.
He has done next to NOTHING all season.
I can defend Wayne having some variety of character in season 1, where he was sometimes capable of holding a leadership position, and willing to be patient and loyal, but NONE of these were portrayed in THIS season.
So pretty much, he has won by doing pretty much NOTHING.
At least Raj got a plotline that wasn’t being comic relief 24/7. And I’m not saying Raj should’ve won. Wayne can definitely be his own character, but Raj got eliminated in episode 11/13. Too little. Too late. Honestly, if you’re gonna have Wayne win, eliminate Raj earlier. Swap Raj and MK’s eliminations. At least then Julia making it far is justified cause in Episode 12 she has the idol.
I’m sorry if this is me rambling, but I was genuinely insulted and baffled by the ending of this season. This season started out really good, then declined in quality as it went on.
I definitely prefer the first season. While it’s not as funny as season two’s first two thirds, and has weaker challenges, it’s more cohesive and consistent in quality that reached logical conclusions for almost every character. Love or hate them.
This season, to me, is proof that you cannot botch endings to stories. You try something fancy and screw up, people are gonna remember the mess of an ending, and not the journey. I think that’s apparent with the reactions I’ve seen so far.
You can have a bad beginning. You can even have a bad middle. You can salvage those. But the ending is what you can’t afford to mess up because that’s what your audience will walk away from and remember.
When people look at this season, they’re gonna remember the badly handled ending rather than the good stuff in the first half.
That’s just sad, honestly.

Hiii hello~! I'm not sure if this counts as a triggering or sensitive topic, if it is please feel free to ignore it ofc! ^^;
I was wondering how Tartaglia would react when he finds out reader is can't have children? He already knows having children of their own is a bit scary for her for multiple reasoning, but after trying to convince her, they give it a shot. Only to later find out... she can't have any kids. It devastated her only because she fears how Tartaglia would even view her and how crushed he must be feeling, knowing he's a family man and he probably dreamt of having a family with her for years?? (I like the childhood friends to lovers trope shh)
A good/comforting ending would be really nice.. reverse comfort sounds nice too.. I really want them both to be happy tbh :,-)
WHAT IF SERIES- REQUESTED! ✧*。
Now playing… Sweet Nothings by Taylor Swift
“And the voices that implore, you should be doing more, to you I can admit, that I'm just too soft for all of it.”
Content Warning: Heavy mentions of infertility, please don’t read if this topic is sensitive to you.
Genre: Tartaglia x Fem!reader who is a married couple but reader is infertile. Angst with happy ending. Reverse comfort in the midst of it all.
Notes: my first request! Hopefully I got it right to the nail. This is my first time writing this kind of topic, so apologies in advance for any discrepancies.
Want to request a short story too? Here's my inbox!

“Don’t you want a family with me? Tell me, honestly, is this where you’re coming from? I would understand if you were scared of having kids but-”
“It’s because I can’t bear a child, okay?!” You stand in your kitchen island, head hung low. In the heat of the argument, you weren’t ready to say it to him, not when you just found out about it a few days ago yourself. Childe just looked at you, eyes wide open on the other side of the kitchen island. His hand which was bearing a fist was now gone.
“I went to the doctor. They said… I can’t. It’s not you, It’s not the both of us, it’s me. And I know you’ve been wanting this- God knows I wanted it too. But… Fuck.” You mutter, voice shaking. He didn’t waste any time to walk up to you and hug you. You held unto him tightly, now crying in his chest. He comforted you by rubbing his hand on your back while whispering “Shh, okay. Let's sit down on the couch.”
You stayed there on the couch, comforting one another for what felt like hours until Childe spoke up. “When did you find out?” He asks in a whisper. “The day before yesterday. I didn’t know how to tell you, but we were fighting over it again, and I got ahead of myself and just dropped it. I-I’m sorry.” You reply with no more tears left to cry. He continued to comfort you, nodding at what you said as the both of you hugged one another. “I understand now. I’m sorry too. For arguing about this, for everything.” He said.
˗ˏˋ ꒰ ♡ ꒱ ˎˊ˗
The next few weeks the both of you tried to ignore the feeling lingering in your home, the feeling of loss. The loss of something that could’ve been, imagining that someone that could’ve been in your and Childe’s arms, trying to fall asleep as you cradled the baby the both of you should’ve had.
Nights fell silent, just a quick 'goodnight' from one another while Childe closes the bedroom lights. You stayed up late, thinking of how much grief you felt. You were grieving over a baby that wasn’t even born yet, but something else plagued your mind.
How does Tartaglia feel about all this? Despite everything, you knew he wanted this the most. And that thought crushes you; Does he feel regret in marrying you now that you can’t have his children? Does he not want you anymore after knowing that? Your sleepless nights consisted of those thoughts, left with more questions than answers.
But one night, staying awake in the bed you and Childe share, you heard a sniffle. You didn’t move, hoping to hear it again just to be sure. And you hear it again, and again until it stops. You hear Childe fix his position, and then you realize, is he crying?
“Ajax?” You whisper in the dark. You rarely use that name, but with emotions heightened that very night, you felt like it was appropriate. “Yes?” “Are you okay?” you turn to face him, despite not seeing anything, you knew he was also facing you. You heard another sniffle and immediately closed the space between the two of you to hug him. “Oh honey, I’m sorry…” You say, brushing your hand on his hair. He was now sobbing, the same way you did when you told him.
“What’s on your mind, hm? You can tell me all about it. I’m right here.” You say, still hugging him. “It’s nothing, what you said last week just really hit hard.” He confesses.
"You know it's been a dream of mine, right? To have kids, more specifically to have one with you myself, for years now... Hell, I even told you before we became a couple that you'll have my kids and I'll have yours." He jokes, trying to lighten up the mood.
“I know, I know. I’m sorry. We’ll find another way around this, Ajax, I promise.” As you said these words, he felt safe and comforted. He nods, and stays in your hold, the heavy feeling slowly drifting away. Though some things were left unsaid, both of you knew that this moment solidified your relationship even more.
˗ˏˋ ꒰ ♡ ꒱ ˎˊ˗
For the next few months, you and Childe researched heavily on ways both of you can have Children. From fostering to adopting, there were many options that you had in mind, but you both agreed to try and adopt a small pet for now.
You were still debating whether or not the both of you wanted a cat or a dog, or maybe a reptile, or even a bird. So adopting an animal was on hold for a bit. One night, in a strong thunderstorm, you and Childe lay on the couch, watching a movie when you hear scratches on the front door. Confused, you look through the peephole, but you saw nothing. The scratches grew louder and louder until you opened the door out of frustration to see a small black-coloured kitten on your front porch, looking up at you.
“Childe, there’s a kitten.”
˗ˏˋ ꒰ ♡ ꒱ ˎˊ˗
You kept the kitten of course, with it being adorably cute. You clearly saw how much this changed your and Childe's well-being. He’d buy one cat toy per week because the kitten kept breaking every single one. He would always groom the kitten, despite it not needing that much assistance. He would always prepare it's food, and silently watch as the kitten finishes the food. He'd always wipe the kitten's face after it ate.
You saw how happy he looked taking care of the kitten. Though it wasn’t exactly what you both had in mind, given the situation, it was enough.
One day, you went home to see Childe on the couch, lying down as the cat was sleeping peacefully on his chest.
You put down your things and went to the bathroom. Despite being notified of your infertility, you and Childe still tried. You knew you had to take a pregnancy test today, so you grabbed a test from your cupboard and did so.
After a few minutes, you barge out of the bathroom, pregnancy results in your hand. You run up to Childe, startling him and the kitten.
“Baby, I’m pregnant.”
END.

in one of ur order posts you mentioned cass and lance understanding each other and I am VERY interested to hear ur thoughts. I always thought those 2 would have a fun dynamic...
AUGHHHHH YES THANK YOU I THINK SO TOO….!!!!!! Idk it’s kind of a mess when i try to put it into words but it’s like…something about them both being in the “shadow” of rapunzel and eugene respectively. they just both handle it very differently…bc lance i feel is always looking out for others and it leads him to neglect himself a lot, but when he really looks into it and he sees eugene’s growth and how he’s come into his own…how he’s found his roots and even his father….as happy for him as he is lance can’t help but feel a bit bitter sometimes. it’s the secondary character syndrome yk!!!! lance just hasn’t really reached a “breaking point” like cass has because he’s trying to manage it in a healthier way…he’s trying to make a life for himself with what he has and he’s realizing he likes things a lot as they are. but that doesn’t make that grief of what he wish he could’ve had just go away….so when he does confide in someone abt those feelings nobody rlly gets it more than cass does. and more than anyone else LANCE is the one who truly understands why cass did what she did.
this little fic of them is very important to me... this one is also one i think about a lot. it’s hard to find lance fics in this economy. :( i like to think they bonded a little leading up to destinies collide, not enough for cass to change her mind about leaving but enough to give them both some food for thought you feel me…..they both just have this unspoken Understanding with each other, and they both admire each other a lot. the shenanigans cass lance and eugene would get into would also be SO silly so it’s a shame we never really saw them interact </3
cass seems to be inherently drawn to the golden retriever type anyways whether she likes it or not so i’m sure lance and rapunzel drag her out on day trips all the time. she and lance gossip together and stuff yk...i think post series she’ll often still go out of the kingdom for work trips (in my head after settling with rapunzel she works as an ambassador for corona, mostly just to be able to get out more while still helping raps), and sometimes in the middle of the night as shes on her way back she’ll stop at his place in old corona just to steal food from him. leaves him a horribly written note and a cool rock or something. like. “Took a piece of the pie in the oven. There were already slices taken out so I figured it’d be fine. Oh I’m back btw. Not dead yet”
they also play pranks on eugene together ALL the time and this is canon actually i made the show. lance can honestly get her to do anything if he can convince her it’ll annoy eugene somehow /hj
ALSO LANCE BEING A WINGMAN FOR CASSUNZEL IS SOMETHING I NEED SOOOOO BAD AND I CANT BELIEVE NOBODY’S THOUGHT OF IT BEFORE. Like honestly i think if she were to tell a single soul about her hopeless crush it would be lance. i think he’s the only one who would be normal about it and keep it a secret tbh. lance just keeps randomly trying to put them in Situations together and cass is getting really suspicious that he’s doing it on purpose but she doesn’t REALLY have any actual evidence so she can’t say anything and it’s driving her crazy. rapunzel is just like “Cassss don’t be silly ur overthinking it ^_^” (shes lying to herself)
IDK. I THINK THEY’D HAVE SILLY SHENANIGANS AND THEY MAKE ME EMO TBH. The secondary characters always cursed to live in someone else’s shadow…..finding solace and friendship in each other………..Though one is sidelined for a much more obvious reason than the other (cough cough RACISM) but its Fineeeee its fine i’m normal about it😁 /s

The (Not So) Magic Trick
I wanted to write an April Fool's Day / pranky type of feel for a fic, and this is the first idea I thought of! It's based off of a challenge that went around on Tiktok a while back (or still going? Im not sure I don't use tiktok tbh), where the one person would ask to show the other person a "magic trick", and would stick a broom handle through the persons sleeve, over their back and then out through the other sleeve - leaving the persons arms trapped up (lee would need to be in a long sleeved shirt or hoodie though for it to work!). And essentially, all it does it render that person helpless. No idea what the real purpose is, BUT - I've seen a few more.....tkly ones...and so this seemed perfect for today! This was gonna be a shorter ficlet, but of course like everything else, I got a little carried away 🫠
George decides he wants to show Dream a certain "magic trick" for his own entertainment purposes
(lee!Dream / ler!George : 2.2K words)
“Come on, Dream- ugh, hold still! God, I’m just showing you a magic trick, you would think I was torturing you or something.” George complained with a grunt as he attempted to continue feeding the broom handle through the blonde’s left sleeve of his red Sapnap hoodie he was wearing. It should be an easy enough task for anyone to accomplish, however it was proved to be more difficult than the elder had pictured, mostly due to Dream’s constant squirming and little hops, jumping from foot to opposing foot in an last resort to try and easy the tingly feeling he got everytime George moved the pole.
“Mhmhm! I- I’m tryihihing!” He squealed out despite trying to keep his lips together, his left foot stomping on the ground a few times when George finally was able to push the long wooden stick through to Dream’s left sleeve. He barked out another laugh, jerking to the side with a yelp as it grazed under his arm.
“There! Finally!” George let out an exaggerated sigh, making a show of wiping the back of his hand over his forehead like he had just completed hours of heavy labor. “We could’ve had this done ages ago if you weren’t flopping around so much. You know that, right?”
Dream let out a puff of air through his bottom lip with the intent of blowing the curl away from where it had fallen over his eye, eventually flipping his head back when that didn’t work before rolling his eyes and returning his gaze towards the shorter boy who was now standing directly in front of him. “Okay! It’s not my fault, you were like, just shoving and poking a stick into me! How am I supposed to react?!”
The younger boy could feel the heat rising in his cheeks as he watched George’s eyes form into little crescent moons when he broke out into bright giggles, high pitched and full of glee at the quick change in color on Dream’s face.
“Well, it’s over now, right? No need to be so whiny!” Dream sputtered out little noises as he tried to form a response to that, deciding to keep his lips pressed together in a thin line when he realized anything he could say would only come out sounding even more whiny. He watched as George clasped his hands together, pressing them against his chest as he flashed Dream his teeth with the biggest, most menacing smile he could produce. It sent chills down the blonde’s back, causing him to shiver the best he could with how restrained his arms were. “So! Are you ready to see the magic trick?”
“I…George I, I don’t knohow…wh-what is ihit?” Dream suddenly felt incredibly vulnerable, now beginning to back up slightly while trying to pull his arms down. He was leaning over from side to side as discreetly as he could, seeing if he could get the broomstick to fall out. But to his dismay it was truly wedged within his hoodie.
“Well I’m trying to show you, silly goose!” George poked a finger into the tummy within arms reach, earning a squeak and muffled giggle in response. Dream began to back up again but George was quick to lean forward and wrap his arms around the bigger boy’s waist, holding him in place in a tight hug. “Hey! Where do you think you’re going, idiot? Be patient! I just said I’m trying to show you!”
Despite George’s questions and constricting hold on him, Dream couldn’t help but continue to struggle, still attempting to thrash even though he couldn’t budge an inch. He cursed his flusteredness for practically zapping all his strength away, turning him into nothing but putty, allowing George to mold Dream any way he wanted.
“O-Okahahay! If…If I let you show me, do you promise to let me out right away after?” The younger boy was practically breathless already, working himself up over the possibility of this ‘magic trick’ being a guise for something much more sinister.
“Of course, of course! Whatever you want Dream, now come back here!” George giggled quietly as Dream finally allowed himself to be pulled back to his original position in the living room, standing in the middle of the room with the afternoon sun pouring in and highlighting every freckle on his face. The brunette was briefly mesmerized before he remembered he had a task at hand. He shook his head before placing a hand on Dream’s shoulder, doing his best to hide the smirk that was threatening to break out as the younger boy jumped at the light touch.
“Okay, now for the magic trick!” George began, turning around and walking towards the couch. He stood there for a few seconds as if looking for something before he began to move pillows around, his facial expression warping slowly from a smirk to a look of confusion.
“What is it? Did…did you lose something?” Dream asked after a few more seconds of George looking extremely puzzled.
“Uh, yeah. One second, I need to find something…” George looked over towards where Dream was standing, leaning his head to the side slightly as if to look past him. “Might’ve dropped it over here though, lemme see.”
The blonde watched as George walked towards him, leaning down around Dream’s feet in search of the missing item. Dream was being as patient as he could in the compromising position he was in, idly flapping his hands up and down gently every few seconds as something to do to ease his nerves; It wasn’t working, but he tried his hardest to pretend like it did anyway. He watched as George moved forward, maneuvering his way around Dream’s legs towards the back of him. Not a second later the smaller boy disappeared from his view, seemingly continuing the search for whatever he had dropped.
“George, what did you even drop? I’m sure we have something similar somewhe-EHEHEHE!”
“Sorry, what? I can’t hear you over your shrieking! You’re gonna have to speak a little clearer, please!”
Dream didn’t answer the boy’s request, too busy cackling while bending forward to try and block his tummy from the tickling hands that had suddenly latched on and were squeezing like it was what they were designed to do.
“What, no comments on the magic trick?” George continued to speak to Dream as if he wasn’t currently tickling him, his tone casual and playful as his hands continued their journey around the jumping tummy below his wiggling fingers. The blonde shook his head, unable to speak with how hard his laughter was pouring out of him. George gasped in fake offense, suddenly forming his hands into claws and vibrating them into the sides of his tummy. “That’s so rude, Dream!”
“NAHAHA G-Geohohorge! Plehehease!” He begged through his laughter, trying his hardest to both escape the elder’s grasp, but also to stay still so he didn’t accidentally clobber the menace of a tickler behind him - even if he was the source of Dream’s struggling in the first place.
“Tell me you like my magic trick!” The Brit demanded, moving his hands to vibrate dangerously close to the dip in the middle of the younger boy’s tummy. A spot they both knew Dream couldn’t handle even on the best of days. With the sudden ambush on his tummy and the flusteredness of it all, he wouldn’t stand a chance. He began to nod his head wildly, moving it so fast George swore it might snap off if he continued to do so.
Dream attempted to speak through his laughter but was cut off as a loud squeal was ripped from him, George’s left pointer finger now wiggling at the edges of his belly button while his right hand began to gently but quickly knead below it on his lower tummy. He was pulling at his arms more than before now, trying to yank and push them down with all his might.
“I-IHIHI LIHIHIKE IT! I LOHOHOVE IT! P-PLEHEASE STAHAHAP!”
When George heard the strain in Dream’s laughter, noticing the younger boy teetering backwards and forwards as his knees threatened to give way, he lightened his tickles until they came to a stop, rubbing gently over the areas he had just abused with no mercy. He could see the blush dusting the tops of Dream’s ears bright red, almost letting out an audible coo at the sight.
“Don’t worry, I’m done, I promise.” George leaned forward and wrapped his arms around Dream’s waist again, bringing his cheek to rest on Dream’s shoulder blade as he cuddled him in close. He closed his eyes for a moment, taking in the scent of the blonde’s perfume and taking in the last of the giggles. He gently loosened his grasp on the younger boy, rubbing a soothing hand on his back before walking back in front of Dream, noting how his cheeks matched the shade of his ears perfectly.
“Thahat- that wasn’t a mahahagic trick, idiot!” Dream whined through his giggles as George began to remove the broomstick, the brunette chuckling when Dream squirmed with another whine-laced giggle.
“Okay, it might not be magic, but it definitely was a trick,” The elder snickered as he smirked up at Dream before turning on his heel, walking to the kitchen to put the broom back on its hook. He turned back towards Dream as he made his way back into the living room before plopping himself down on the couch, patting the cushion next to him to signal that he wanted the boy to come sit with him. “You were definitely tricked.”
Dream rolled his eyes with a groan as he rotated his shoulders in calming circles, making sure to stretch out any tightness he may have from the restricting predicament he had found himself in. He moved his arms around one last time before he let out a relaxed sigh, stepping forward until he reached the couch, promptly falling back into it and practically crushing George.
“Hey! Watch it!” The elder complained, pushing at Dream as he dropped his head against George’s shoulder.
“If I were you, I’d be the one watching it,” Dream spoke through a big yawn, bringing the heels of his hands to rub into his eyes until he saw the familiar kaleidoscope of colors splashing behind his eyelids whenever he pushed hard enough. “You can guarantee I’m gonna show you a ‘magic trick’ too, and this one won’t be so funny.”
A small smile formed on Dream’s face as he could feel George swallow thickly, clearly flustered by the possibilities that he could be put in. The elder allowed Dream to drift off into a deep afternoon nap before slowly and carefully removing himself from beneath the blonde, immediately making a beeline for his room. He couldn’t take the chance of waking Dream any time soon if he wanted to survive the day. When he reached his room, he quickly closed the door behind him, locking it in the process before flopping onto his bed and crawling under the covers.
A few hours later he woke up to a knocking on his door, head shooting up with a deep intake of breath as he processed what was happening. He didn’t remember falling asleep, but he was never one to deny himself of the much needed rest.
“Wh- ahem- Who is it?” George called, clearing his throat as he spoke. As he was waking up, the events from earlier in the day replayed in his mind, suddenly sending a wave of nervous giddyness throughout his entire body.
“Me, I just have a question.” He relaxed as he heard the youngest boy’s voice, getting up to open the door for Sapnap. The second the latch to the lock was turned, the door suddenly flung open, Sapnap piling in and tackling George to the ground.
“What- Sapnap?! Get off me!” George squirmed under his grasp, only registering what was happening when he saw movement from behind the smaller boy who was straddling his waist, his hands gripping George’s wrists and holding them down. The color drained from his face as he realized that it was none other than the man he had tormented. “Wh- D-Dream?”
“That’s right baby,” Dream smirked as he kneeled down beside George, leaning in close to his face. “And I do believe Sapnap asked you a question, didn’t he?”
George nodded his head, his ability to speak having disappeared the second he saw the blonde curls appear in his doorway.
“Go ahead, Sap.”
“I’ll repeat myself, but just this once. We have a question for you!” Sapnap squeezed George’s wrists lightly to get his attention, continuing only when the brown eyes were focused on him. Dream and the curly haired brunette exchanged knowing looks, wearing matching smirks as they turned their attention back on the captured boy below them.
“...Hm?” George was practically buzzing with anticipation, not liking the direction this was headed but having no choice to participate anyway. When Sapnap finally asked, George realized his fate. He had absolutely no choice in the matter, feeling goosebumps rise on his skin when Sapnap continued.
“So George…do you wanna see a magic trick?”

Dave Strider x Reader X Karkat Vantas
Chapter 3
[masterlist]
I stopped pacing around the room when I heard the doorbell ring. I practically ran to the door then stopped just in front to compose myself. Straighten out my clothes and pat my hair down and take a deep breath before I opened the door.
Dave, who was waiting on the other side, heard the heavy footsteps of someone running to the door.
‘Am I gonna get jumped??’
The pause.
‘Maybe they had a change of heart.’
The deep breath.
‘No they’re definitely getting ready to fight me.’
And the door opened to reveal a.. sweaty, nervous looking dude- the same one from last time actually.
“Uh..” Dave quickly peaked behind them and didn’t see anyone else, hiding or otherwise. “Your friends didn’t set you up like last time?” He smiled albeit a bit nervously.
“Oh! No I eh.. just.. asked for you myself..”
“..really?”
“Yeah really..”
“…”
Awkward….
“….Right.. well your total is $9.99..” Dave took out the pizza from his little pizza carrier.
“Hopefully it isn’t burnt this time.” I joked and Dave seemed to look surprised.
“Wait really? Your pizza was burnt last time?”
“Uh yeah, like half of the pepperoni was singed. I mean my friend ate it anyway but still.” I said and took note of how he looked sort of confused.
“Yeah that’s.. kinda weird? My friend is the one who makes the pizzas and he usually follows the Pizza Hut pizza making regulations like, word for word. Sort of like a perfectionist? I feel like if he burnt a pizza he would’ve remade it. Or are these false accusations you're putting on my bro’s name?” Dave questioned with a quirked brow and crossed arms.
“No?? Why would I lie about that dude?” I laughed.
“Well I mean, you didn’t call to replace it either.”
“Yeah ‘cause my friend already tore that shit up.” I snickered and pulled out a $10 bill to pay him. He seemed more relaxed now, smiling as he took the money.
“Oh, keep the change, buy yourself something nice.” I winked. “Well aren't you made of money? Sure you can give so much to little ol’ me?” He chuckled and pocketed the bill. “I have more money than I know what to do with man.” I lied confidently as if this pizza didn’t use up the rest of the money I had for the week. “Ha! Have a good one. I’ll let you know if anyone I know needs a sugar daddy or something.” He laughed and walked off.
I closed the door.
Hehehehehe!!!!!
I giggled and tossed the pizza on the counter, running to my couch and flopping down to text the group chat, my legs kicking behind me.

I sigh and toss my phone on the couch while I get up to eat the pizza that’s probably gone a bit cold now.
Yeah I’ll definitely approach him better. Someday.
Damn this pizza is burnt again?
———
The bell on the door jingled as Dave entered the store. He tossed the keys back to Aradia who was looking through a crusty magazine from 2015.
“Do you want me to take over deliveries again? We got two more calls.”
“Uh yeah but stay here for a bit? Need to chat with Karkat real quick ‘fore I man the phones again.”
“…but the customers need their pizzas.” She looked at him with a strangely intense gaze.
“Uh.. they can wait a few minutes bro. It’s not the end of the world.” He nervously joked before dipping to the back.
“Hey kat.” He greeted his friend who just finished boxing a pizza. “Oh. What do you want Dave?” He grumbled and moved the pizza to the counter for Aradia to grab.
“So the guy I delivered to just told me the craziest thing. That the pizza they got a few days ago was actually..” Dave paused for dramatic effect, “burnt..” he slapped his hand over his mouth in faux surprise.
Karkat visibly stiffened.
Dave didn’t notice though because he was more focused on teasing Karkat.
“I thought your pizzas were your ‘works of art’? Your ‘babies’? And you burnt one? What if this affects the store's reviews huh?” He laughed and elbowed Karkat.
It was then he noticed the strange look of guilt on Karkat’s face.
“Uh..dude?”
“..it was a mistake. So what if some schmuck got a burnt pizza?” He grumbled and went off to look for something to occupy his hands.
“Well yeah I wasn’t accusing you of doing it on purpose,” Dave paused and turned to look at Karkat, “did you.. do it on purpose..?” He asked, with a confused smile.
“AGH!”
uh oh.
“WHO CARES!?”
here it comes.
“GET OUT! GET OUT!! GO DO YOUR FUCKING JOB DICKBAG STRIDER!”
Karkat snapped and shoved Dave out the kitchen and back to the front of the store.
Before Dave could try to talk to him again, Karkat already rushed to the break room and slammed the door shut.
“…”
“.. I will go deliver the pizzas now.” Aradia got up quickly, snatching the two pizza boxes and leaving.
Dave checked the clock to see how long he had left on his shift.
2 hours.
Goddamnit.

a/n - I sure use "..." a lot... but I like it.. hehe...
idk its just so I can portray the timing of their pauses while they speak and they make a lot of pauses *skull emoji*
also nepeta's contact name is 'nepetita'. I'm mexican and adding "ita" to something is sort of saying "little" in an affectionate way so her contact is saying 'little nepeta' if any of u are confused
