I FINALLY GOT MY FIRST PROPER TAIL!! I’m so excited about it and I love it so so much! I tried on when I got home and I didn’t want to take it off, it just feels so natural for me to have. It’s the perfect texture and coloration, and even wags like a proper tail. I will definitely share some fun IRL photos when I have the opportunity to wear it more!!

spoilers for chapter 429

idk if you guys remember but ochako does have parallels with All Might, specifically as the side who saves. It’s not that he feels the same for them both or something like that, they serve to represent the type of heroism he naturally goes to; his friend is not his love interest, from his perspective she’s out there having a crisis over not being able to save her, and Izuku reminds her that she is a hero bc she is his hero -she saved him multiple times, and she should be able to feel like a proper hero.

This conversation is not about the nature of their relationship, is about heroism; Izuku relates to a conflict between being a hero who saves and failing to save someone, and doesn’t want to see Ochako ending spiraling because she couldn’t also fulfill that role as expected. She’s his hero not because he loves her romantically -he’s a nerd I’m sure he would be way more nervous and blushing if he was confessing anything he thought was romantic- but because she’s able to go and do what All Might does to Izuku, save him physically and emotionally.

He knows she hides her feelings in order to not be a burden, yet he doesn’t talk about his own feelings outside of his guilt in heroics -what does he feel about losing OFA? About his own failures? About the people he personally lost? He can’t talk for others and claim Ochako is everyone’s hero, but he can speak for himself, and that’s his personal perspective -she is a hero to him, she’s his hero. And then the class appears to make sure she’s able to get support and understand she’s not alone, and she’s important to them too.

but Izuku doesn’t get support. Izuku cries a little and talks a little about himself, but he doesn’t get supported. If this was meant to be romantic, I don’t understand why he would hold back what’s inside of him.

the end of the chapter reveals that boy is going to be helped by that woman who regretfully ignored Tenko, and they both witness it and are happy about it while hearing izuku inspired that change, and iida wonders what’s up with them -this is the conclusion to their relationship. In their hearts these two are saviors who struggle to be heroes who save others, and they are happy there are appearing more people who want to be heroes like them. Heroes who save. Save like All Might.

That grandma for example, interpreting the narrative as what I think is intended, would be that boy’s All Might; she’s his hero.

Izuku and Ochako are heroes who save, and Deku is here to remind her at least she did save him many times, that she is still a hero because she is his hero. I don’t believe is meant to be interpreted as romantic, not that Izuku sees that phrase as it neither -after all, he said he does want to be like All Might and feels good to imitate him, but he doesn’t love him.

Ochako’s All Might hair moment, the parallels with Toshinori telling him he can be a hero, the trying to save from black suffocating quirks, the we can do it and do your best…

Tom is Alicia Florrick eldest sister coded. He must be perfect he must not be a burden if he causes any issues at all it will rock the boat and he does not want yo rock the boat. If he excels he will stand out and be appreciated. He must be good. He cannot be perfect (gay) so he must be ya know? His parents have been on the precipice of divorce for a decade by the time he’s 17 (he’s been rooting for them to get it over and done with since he was 11). They don’t need any of his shit to deal with too. Sarah on the other hand is younger sister coded. She has her own shit going on. Unlike ice she didn’t realize divorce was on the horizon until it was right in front of her and an already rebellious streak was exacerbated. She’s an emotions first consequences second kind of person and can be a little selfish although can you really blame her? Amy is the true youngest sister but she’s got that bonus baby ten years younger than her siblings thing happening. Ice and Sarah are super different but have a forged in fire closeness. Amy is just kinda vibing outside of them. She grew up with her parents divorce being a done deal by her 6th birthday and thus in a much chiller environment. Ice left huge expectations and Sarah left none so whatever Amy did was good enough. She feels a little left out and left behind sometimes but only when reminded that she’s not like actually an only child. At 34 Ice is a USNA grad like his father with an exceedingly impressive career and huge things to come but with no wife or girlfriend to show for it. At 31 Sarah is finding her footing after a bit of a wild 20s with a nursing degree and job. At 22 Amy is going to grad school for writing thinking how lucky she is Sarah turned her back on the navy and rotc back then. It’s made her parents much more accepting of a theater degree.

Considering it’s POLIN mf season if we/it was/were a certain crazy miserable loser fandom they/we would’ve been mad about the fact not only is it polin season but everyone else getting promo too and Claudia J is with Luke/Nic same way Simone Kate Kanthony stans was mad that charithra existed really and was with JH/SA for like 2-3 interviews throughout whole show I’ve seen it and the fact they as is in nic and charithra only did 1 cover solo each and 1 EW with two other cast members yet Kate Simone Kanthony stans truly went insane lost it and was calling nic Luke and especially charithra nic all kinds of cruel vile nasty things and being racist and fatphobic for no fcvking reason but here we are seeing everyone like Claudia Jess Hannah get so much promo and not minding it and even when Claudia is doing way more promo then what charithra ever did with Simone or with their precious kanthony ship and fake favs! this isn’t even half of the amout of pr promo stuff and press they’ve as in those 3 non lead girls have done or for the whole Bridgerton cast on polin season but sure simone

Kanthony Kate stans was being miserable psychopaths when charithra did 2-3 interviews with Simone and she Nicola got 1 solo cover and the fact they hated on Luke who didn’t even get an ounce of what Luke T, Claudia or Johnny is getting now when it’s not their season but his yeah I’ll never forget it or forgive! Poor Nicola Luke and Charithra they deserved so much better especially charithra and nic who got extra worse because of their acting range being superior let’s be honest here guys they outdid their precious ship on their season because they didn’t have a problem with any of the other actors or cast only those 2 girls and Luke and Nicola Luke as friends all because they are actually besties in real life and fans shipped them something they can’t 😔 do for their fav ship they use as self insert to be with a pretty white boy since JB is not straight truly got what they deserve in s3 and I’m so happy for POLIN CC winning and for charithra Nic being such a IT girl had a whole subfandom crying about them and their every move all year long for the past 2 years even when it wasn’t their season yet! That’s on acting range that’s on ACTRESS!

In the end we know why Kate kanthony Simone stans was mad about charithra existence it’s because CC aka Edwina just outshined them and outsold their favs and ship with ease and why they was mad about Nicola and Luke because they were just real friends off screen and their fav wasn’t that close😂 so couldn’t ship them 😂

What I love the most about episode two of rwby beyond is that, DnD episode one actually, is the way people in world keep Oscar at the forefront. In stark contrast to the fallout of volume 6 where Qrow and Jaune are upset at Ozpin and take it out on Oscar (and then Jaune is immediately upset when Oscar is missing and ever since then has been shown to care deeply about him), everyone is showing great care for him. They can’t ignore the merge as is evident in both Oscar’s section of the epilogue as well as well as Ren’s message (You two), but how Neptune and Sun kept correcting each other and then Jaune making the distinction that it’s Ozpin who has the fairy tale connections.

Oscar struggles greatly with his sense of identity and now he’s gotten to the point where he sounds like Oz even when the man isn’t taking over for them. But the reminder that Oscar is his own person. That he’s not just another soul in the blob. The way his friends are keeping him alive even when he’s not in front of them. FRESH off of Ruby’s own identity crisis. Jaune saying he wishes he could forget his time as the rusted knight and is only now able to look back on the good times and feel positively about Alex and Lewis. The Sense of Self in this show as well as How Others See You. It’s lovely to see people treating Oscar as his own person during this time when he doesn’t know who he is. And even though he’s trying to comfort Jaune in this scene I think seeing someone older than him who’s also struggling, who feels out of place but is trying to include him, is good for him too.
