before and after pics of a gas mask bag i got at an antique store a couple years ago, wasn’t quite happy with how I decorated it so i decided to rework it

i painted all the patches except for the sunflowers on the strap of the bag, those were leftover fabric from a t-shirt i used to make the back patch for my vest

the buttons i bought while working at faire this year and one of the pins and the aroace star was made by one of my partners :-)

personally I think that all queer books should have a “special edition” with a subtle cover (and a code name if it’s necessary) for all of the people in homophobic areas

#it’s me I’m people #no but seriously we’re out here in the trenches smuggling queer books and desperately hoping our parents/family/friends won’t find out #I have stack of all the queer books I own in a bag underneath a bunch of clothes IN MY ATTIC CRAWL SPACE so that they don’t get found #and the amount of times I’ve had to switch out a cover on one hardback for a cover of a different hardback is insane #my sister thinks I’ve read The Shadows Between Us like 6 times but most of the time it was actually RW&RB #it gets ridiculous #for example #to get RW&RB in the first place my twin had to stuff the book under her shirt while we were in the bookstore #buy it herself in all cash #and then hide it again as we left #so please I am begging for “special edition’’ books like this 🙏😭#literature #lqbtq #queer #queer books #gay #lesbian #trans #bisexual #books and reading #booklr #homophobia #pride month

Something that really sets Wille and Simon apart from other queer ships is that when we say their love language is physical touch, IT REALLY IS PHYSICAL TOUCH. And I’m not speaking of just sex. Over the course of the show, the amount of touching between them is astronomical. And that’s really something rarely seen in queer media. There may be moments here or there, but often times there’s a lack of physical contact unless it’s for “the plot”. Wille and Simon feel like a real couple in the way they’re always physically reaching out for each other.

What if…Marius makes a comment about how pretty Lethica’s ear jewelry is (bc idk what that thing on the tip of her ears are called), and wonders out loud if he could ever pull off jewelry like that, and Lethica offers to help him pierce his ears and give him some of her extra earrings and such. Perhaps nothing too feminine, but something elegant that fits his vibe.

Am I just saying this bc i decided to draw Marius in casual wear (bc there’s no way in the Nine Hells he’s sleeping in all that armor, even in his less bulky rose armor), and decided last minute to give him earrings that are vaguely similar to Lethica’s?
