That party falls in the top 3 weirdest birthday parties I’ve ever been to.

For one, the mom didn’t even apologize for the “mis-print”…… i had texted her to question the time and she said she was deeply sorry but if it was me, I would have been MORTIFIED. I would have apologized so hard. She just didn’t even acknowledge it when went inside.

Cecilia was the only other kid the same age as the birthday girl. The rest were older (9-14) cousins? Siblings, I’m not even sure. The place was not appropriate for 3 year olds but we did our best lol they had bounce houses and slides and huge play grounds, they also had video games/arcade type stuff but the mom didn’t give us a game card????? And I for sure wasn’t buying one lol She had 1 for Cecilia and the girl to share (????) but since the place was so big and both girls are shy/quiet it was impossible for them to do anything together. It was very awkward. I also felt like the room itself was not safe. There was nothing preventing kids from running out into the front area and outside. It seemed very easy for someone to get snatched or lost.

I am assuming that everyone else from daycare said no and honestly I’m not surprised since it was 40 minutes from the daycare???? Because that would be why no one else got there an hour early 🙃

Also everyone kept calling her Cece and that drives me CRAZY. Even when I say Cecilia they say Cece 🙃

- due to being in a Seed/Stem program I have homework for math also

So now I have an essay due on August forth about a book that I haven’t read or was given because we have to find it ourselves. Thank so fucking technically instead of summer homework being done at the start of the school year their are actually fucking due dates.

Also I need to have three essay written and with what to write being unclear. I mean just give me a book and an essay instead of option that makes it complicated for me to understand.

History is just notes but god damn I only agree to take a class because a friend of mine is also taking it.

Math???? It IXL with about 64 assignments? I’ve done like 30 of them though on the third day of summer. Though English class is giving me a mind fucker-y

not to be controversial bc I know this is like…not in line with shifting opinions on fanfic comment culture but if there’s a glaring typo in my work I will NOT be offended by pointing it out. if ao3 fucks up the formatting…I will also not be offended by having this pointed out…

‘looking forward to the next update’ and ‘I hope you update soon!’ are different vibes than a demand, and should be read in good faith because a reader is finding their way to tell you how much they love it. I will not be mad at this.

‘I don’t usually like this ship but this fic made me feel something’ is also incredibly high praise. I’m not going to get mad at this.

even ‘I love this fic but I’m curious about why you made [x] choice’ is just another way a reader is engaging in and putting thought into your work.

I just feel like a lot of authors take any comment that’s not perfectly articulated glowing praise in the exact manner they’re hoping to receive it in bad faith.

fic engagement has been dropping across the board over the last several years, and yes it’s frustrating but it isn’t as though I can’t see how it happens. comment anxiety can be a real thing. the last thing anyone wants to do is offend an author they love, and that means sometimes people default to silence.

idk where I’m going with this I guess aside from saying unless a comment is outright attacking me I’m never going to get mad at it, and I think a lot of authors should feel the same way. ESPECIALLY TYPOS PLZ GOD POINT OUT MY TYPOS.
