I hate video as a format generally because I’m a fast reader, but there is nothing worse to me than a theology video wherein the speaker looks directly into the camera. just a guy alone in a room staring at a camera telling it about Jesus. the dialogical aspect of the Word is totally absent. there’s no encounter. there’s no emptying of self to meet the beloved where they’re at. hate it so much.

I hate how my choices when accessing certain types of medical care are either be vague and have them assume I’m a trans woman and face the transphobia and transmisogyny that comes with that, and also then having them think I’m something I’m not, or say that I’m intersex and face the intersexism, explain everything in detail to not be understood or even believed because they will ask really invasive unnecessary questions about my body and often just have them assume I’m a trans woman anyways, and not understand anything I say. There is no way for me to just get a bone mineral density scan without bullshit. Im not mad at being mistaken for a trans woman in general, trans women are awesome as fuck and it’s not an insult or anything, but it shows that no one is listening to me about my medical history and no one gives a shit to learn about intersex people in particular. And I’m also trans in the other direction. I literally said no when asked if I was on hormones or hormone blockers and then 5 minutes later the same radiology tech asked me how long I’ve been on androgen blockers. I’m not my body is just fucking like that!!!!

If that saying helps you, great! But y’all can not be spreading this around to other people when

a) you already know it’s not going to make them feel better, it’s like scenes when a person asks how they look and someone responds with “…you have a great personality?” when has that ever been framed as a great response?? When people are feeling low, there’s a high chance you’re just going to make them feel worse

And b) more importantly, y’all shouldn’t be going around telling people it’s okay that they’re “ugly” when what’s defined as “ugly” is rooted in things like racism and transphobia!!! Look Me In The Goddamn Eyes and tell me what you find ugly about that person and why THE FUCK you think it’s okay to find those things ugly???

It’s okay to not be pretty or beautiful or handsome or anything attractive, it’s okay to not care, it’s okay to be completely neutral about your appearance, and yes!! it’s okay for you to be okay with being ugly

But it’s not okay for you to go around and tell other people that they need to be okay with being ugly, especially if they’re feeling insecure

That’s their own journey that they need to come to terms with on their own after they’ve defined what ugly and attractive means to them specifically, and then they get to decide if they’re ugly or attractive

Everyone’s journey is different, for some it’s okay with being ugly and for others it’s figuring out that they aren’t ugly !!!

• Feigning innocence when you confront him about his unusual behavior before bed. ‘Look, I don’t mind you being physically affectionate,’ You start, earning a blink from him, ‘I’m just confused at the suddenness of it, that’s all.’ Instead of admitting that he’s in a rut, he decides to tell you that he overheard your conversation with Husk.

• Shaking his head, politely declining your apology. ‘There’s no need for one, darling,’ He hums, approaching you and reaching out to affectionately cradle your jaw. He dips his head to place a kiss on your cheek, but your sweet scent wafts into his nostrils and ignites the urges he spent so long fighting against.

• Immediately seizing your waist, clutching desperately at your shirt as he brings your bodies flush together.
