Mod update, at long last! Dame Aylin Kintsugi - Origin version is now up on Nexus (update: should now be visible on mod.io as well). It was inevitable, really, that I would end up doing this.

The mod is now completely standalone and has no prerequisites. Aylin's visuals (head, hair, skin tone, "gold" tattoo colour) are still added to Body Type 3 humans, elves, and half-elves (and some custom race mod aasimar) if you just want to poach some cosmetics.

The kintsugi colour is once again plugged into Horn Colour, which I've added as an option to the above-mentioned races for this purpose.

But for the full custom appearance and fancy texture experience, I've made Aylin a new Origin Character selectable when you start a new game. Her race, class, and appearance are preset appropriately, but not fixed (which allows me to patch in custom/modded races), so you can tweak her a bunch, but for flavour she will have "Aasimar" and "Paladin of Selûne" tags in dialogues no matter what you pick. Her body type and background (Folk Hero) are locked. She has no other special properties, gameplay-wise.

Vestments of the Faithful is a mod that includes her iconic armour, if you want to complete the look.
Update: Along with changing the starting paladin warhammer to a greatsword, I went and added her armour statted as basic plate to her starting equipment, so no additional mods are needed. You should still use the mod above if you want a version of it with special stats and abilities.

It's nicely flexible, you can wear only parts of it. Or, you know, none at all. You do you.
Note that though I gave it a shot very briefly, wings are easy to get to appear, but veeery tricky to get in any way functional, so if you want those you should grab an extra mod that provides them. Let's call it future work for now.

Ah, the eternal struggle between putting Aylin in cool outfits and armours and wanting to show off my textures. But I did hand-draw every single one of these gold lines, so let me bask, shhhhhh. More under the cut for nudity.
I already spoke about this in a previous post, but everything is both much more high-res and super streamlined now. No more fudging around with body tattoo colour overlays or neck seams or anything. And all the colours are 100% Aylin-accurate, plucked right out of her presets.

This might be a bit of a weird question as I know this isn't a drawing blog, but do you happen to have any pointers for finding good reference photos for drawing cane users? I'm having trouble finding interesting/dynamic poses, and the vast majority of pose generator sites I've found don't even show people with mobility aids. Stock photo sites and google are also limited in their usefulness, mostly giving me very stiff poses. If you have any tips that would be great.

I tried to be an artists once upon a time so let me direct you to some things that might help! Here is an excellent post written up by @deoidesign shows how motion and functionality with a cane works. Here is a post by @sparrowsocks on the cane design itself and the practicality of it. Here is another "How To" guide that is a bit more simple but covers how the hand changes with different handles.
Here is a reference of hands gripping cylindrical objects that I think might be a little helpful. Grabbing a cane or just moving it are all things that go into it too.
If you're going for more a historical setting, Here is a library of sources of historical walking sticks and canes. That source is more novelty canes and not for practicality for a mobility aid, but Here is another source for History and it has more practical canes.
Also things like old photo rolls when film was just becoming what we know today could be something helpful too.

We can see for example in the first two frames how the opposite leg moves with the cane.
And of course we have more photos from the Victorian era of men with canes. Granted canes were used largely for fashion but a lot of people did use them for balance and such too. Also they're good references for poses while holding a cane.
Another thing I can recommend is just watching videos of someone using a cane. Look up disabled YouTubers or people who do physical therapy videos and they show largely how movement with a cane should look and more.
If you're looking for dynamic poses I would recommend looking up cosplayers or models who are disabled and use canes. But also looking up disabled actors that use canes or similar mobility aids and go through their filmography is another good way to see references. A lot of disabled people who are artists also post their own photos and videos for art references specifically too.
One last thing is how the character holds their body and what type of cane they need is gonna depend on how they are disabled. Working that out and doing more research is gonna change some things. But also even though there is a proper way to use a cane, some people use canes in different ways to suit their needs and comfort. The biggest example in media is House from House MD and while Hugh Laurie isn't disabled, he does a pretty accurate portrayal of someone using a cane in an alternative way. I personally (when I was getting fitted for one) would use my cane very much as House does, and other people have said much the same.
Hopefully this helps in some way and your fellow artists may be able to throw more help in the notes. Happy drawing!

I have found a lot of healing through writing a fanfic where a character I imagine as fat heals from his own internalized fatphobia.
The character in question is an author who ends up in the world of the story he wrote (if you know the character from this description, ily). He has a lot of self hatred in canon, so I have him writing the character he later lives as as being fat, reflecting his (and our society's) views of fat people as pathetic losers since that character is exactly that. (Note: this is him projecting his own issues onto that character since I see him as also being fat 'in real life')
So after he ends up in this character's body he can't change the way the character was described. Nothing he does can change it (even all the diet and exercise in the world).
Then he realizes something... Interesting. He's the only fat character in the story (there are random fat people around but no one who impacts the story) and... He's never picked on for it. He's bullied quite a bit (a canon thing for the character) but never for his weight. The closest he gets is a "fatty" nickname and even then it's used as just a description same as if they called him "short" or "brunet". And even then, he occasionally hears people boasting about it (he's in charge of management of finances and stuff so it's a boast about the wealth of their facility that he is able to put on weight, a very rare thing in that setting, since it's quasi historical and poverty and starvation were extremely common)
He even discovers his LI (canon love interest btw who he explicitly created to be his "Perfect Man") finds his body very attractive explicitly BECAUSE of his body type, not in spite of it. (Partially because it's kinda rare in that world because if the majority are thin and/or muscular then fat would be more appealing because it's different)
My biggest issue is writing the sex scene I vowed to myself I would write because GDI I think I've only seen maybe a couple other fics with this character as fat and I want fat characters to get railed too!!! I think I need to commit to having his LI be attracted to his body and SHOW him appreciating it without caring if it comes across as fat fetish

Time travel Des gets turned into an animal au, but this time he’s a slugcat from rain world, they’re cute, generally good at parkour, and can have different abilities (artificer can make explosives, spearmaster can make spears from its tail,etc.) so Des could have one of the canon abilities, or he could have a unique one. (Or one from a mod lol)

Anyway, on to the ask.
For those unfamiliar, the Slugcats are the playable characters in the game Rain World.
And look at how adorable they are:

Honestly, I was debating on just keeping him purely Survivor because Survivor is white.
But let’s shake it up a bit.
Desmond’s slugcat ‘type’ changes depending on various conditions:
He’s primarily the white Survivor (base stats) when he’s alone or doing his own thing. This is how his ancestors first saw Desmond and how he’s usually described later in history as a symbol of the Brotherhood.
He turns gold (yeah, not yellow) as the Monk when he’s safe with one of his ancestors, usually curled around the neck and hidden by both the hood and the robes itself. He’s quite warm in this state and tends to purr a lot. He tends to not be that combat-oriented in this state.
He turns red as the Hunter when he’s… well… hunting mostly. Looking for and stalking preys would usually turn him red. Ratonhnhaké:ton is the ancestor who sees this a lot.
He turns into the plump Gourmand when he has eaten quite a lot. This happens a lot with the Auditores because they just love to feed him. He’s slower but he can use his larger body to slam against things and other people. More often than not, he just rolls into a ball and tries for strikes.
Artificer (magenta?) and Spearmaster (purple) are the states that usually appears before Altaïr.
Spearmaster appears when Altaïr has no more throwing knives and he would use the spear that appears on Desmond’s tail instead. Because of this Altaïr actually changed to Desmond’s spears instead (since they’re about the same size of his throwing knife) and Desmond usually helps and flicking his tail turns the spear into a projectile weapon whenever they’re forced into open combat.
Artificer first appeared when Altaïr started working on the hidden gun and his explosive capabilities are usually used for control demolitions. Artificer is more or less just studied when he was with Altaïr. It’s Ezio who turns Desmond into a walking timebomb of distraction and demolition. The requirement to making Desmond an artificer seems to be that he had to smell gunpowder. He turns into an Artificer once he sneezes.
Rivulet (water) is the easiest state to change to. Get Desmond wet and he’d turn into a Rivulet. As long as he’s wet, he’ll stay a Rivulet but… once he’s dry, he’ll return to being a Survivor unless there’s another state requirement being fulfilled (like being wrapped in a warm blanket to dry off while in his ancestor’s arms would turn him into a Monk instead).
Saint’s (green) requirement is a bit of a mystery though but the most possible explanation is that Desmond turns into a saint when he needs to freerun and thinks he needs to use the Saint’s long tongue to grapple and swing from ceilings, walls, tree branches, etc. Saint’s the most frail of his states and Desmond tries to change his states as soon as possible whenever he turns green.
… I feel like whenever one of his ancestors die, Desmond gets a slugpup (maybe it just… splits from him? Or it slithers out of the ancestor’s body?) and follows Desmond around. The slugpup doesn’t shift states but usually tries to help Desmond whenever it can. Desmond’s pretty sure they’re reincarnated slugpup of his ancestors… or maybe he just wants to believe that. Slugpups are very affectionate towards Desmond and Desmond treats them more like his kids than minions.
Desmond names his Slugpups on the ancestor they ‘come from’. Slugpup!Altaïr has the Dominance trait which means he will pick up things he thinks he can use and use them. This is usually not weapon and more like utility items like smoke bombs and even just food he would give to Desmond once he starts to feel sluggish. He also likes to stay with the other slugpups and Desmond isn’t sure if he’s acting as their leader or their big brother… maybe both? Slugpup!Ezio is more on the Energy side and he tends to grab shiny things that are usually expensive af. Slugpup!Ratonhnhaké:ton is an Aggression type and prefers to have a weapon. Mostly, he would have a spear or one of the Assassins’ throwing knives.

Centipede Tango Tek - CTT Au Master post
This is my master post about my Tango Tek is a Centipede AU/Headcanon, but now with more coherent thoughts of what I want.
TW WARNINGS: Zombies, Insects, Body horror, Gore, Low self esteem and mental health problems. (If you think I should add another tag pls let me know, this is my silly au I don't want to cause distress to no one.)
Note: As I am writing some things may change, so I will update this note with the date I last changed something here. (08/08/2023)
I swear it's not that bad, but messing with zombie characters gets messy very fast.
In this AU main plot I have:
-Tango is a parasitic modded mob that should not be a player but is.
-He specifically is a Centipede that lives in dead corpses and is basically like a zombie with guts that attack if the main body is damaged/destroyed. 
-Here is a link for a text book description I made of his species.(Somethings I wrote there are not up to date with my current headcanon.)
-Tango being a sentient being and a player, he mostly functions like a zombie hybrid player ex.Cleo and Zloy
- He has two bodies : His decoy body (The corpse of a permadead player he rides) and his real body (His centipede one)
-His two bodies are code linked. Let me explain: Tango Tek code will only show right when he is “complete”, when he is separated his close name tag glitches and Tango appears afk in an admin screen. He will only respawn if his real body is damaged and as his decoy body is a literal corpse, it will only repair itself when the damage taken caused a respawn death. Any other type of damage taken in his decoy body he has to repair it Himself (this type of damage and repair, applies to most undead players, Cleo is one of them.). If Tango is killed without his decoy body, the decoy body will not respawn with him, he has to go fetch it.
- Just to be clear, Tango didn’t just found a random corpse and started riding it, His decoy body is with him since he first “spawned”, He woke with all the information that a fresh new player needs to knows, but instead of the corpse receiving it, what got it was the vermin inhabiting it.
-One thing that makes him stay awake at night is the fact that, he already had a years long register from before he spawned, he had money, he had a Hypixel account and he had a name: Tango. He added the Tek latter, because of a dear friend of his, that is until now the only important OC I dared to put in this AU.
-Tango Spawned in an residential world where being a hostile mob hybrid wasn't looked upon with good eyes, so since early he learned to use makeup and clothes to pass as a mostly human player.
-He spend weeks of his early days training his fine motor coordination, so he can pass as a clumsy human and not a decaying corpse being controlled by a insect (It's like playing cuphead with your keyboard slightly upside down) 
-He spend years isolated in single player worlds, because of the fear of what he is and what would be done to him in the case that other people discover.
-His eyes are red, because his decoy body doesn't have its eyes anymore, so he just uses his own real body to cover it. When someone asks why his eyes are weird red swirls, he just says he was cursed by the "universe".
-This "he is a bug, that rides a dead body and is basically a zombie, but he is disguized as a human" thing, may have started as a form of defense to not suffer from the discrimination that aggressive mob hybrids suffered in that era, but with time it turned in a type of self hate. Even when compared with other zombies and undead hybrids, he can see he is not the same and this really bugged him. He can only say that his red eyes (that are a literal part of his real body) are a curse of the universe too many times, until he started to believe it himself.
-So his disguise turned more permanent than it should. It's been some decades and no one really knows the truth, the only one that really knows is himself "Human" if asked Tango Tek.
-As I said it started as a means of protection, but even when the wheels turned and the ones that were the real problem now are a minority, Tango still is hiding. He knows he is an anomaly, that he should not be capable of thinking of feeling! Someway in his path he started to think of himself as a monster, as an unlovable being and even when he entered Hermitcraft, a place where everyone is accepted, he continued to hide. 
-Now more than his self hate, he has fear: fear of being lonely again, of his family (his only family) hating him for what he is (he hates what he is, he wish he could be normal).
-Tbh he should see a therapist, the really angst part of this AU is Tango's poor mental health state, he is so blinded with his own fallacy, that he is a wrong unlovable monster, to notice that his friends and family never would trade him for anything else.
-This type of self hate is something that builds slowly, but Tango has decades of auto inflicted isolation to construct this narrative. Believe me, Isolation does things to a person's mental state.
Some little curiosities:
-Tango is a make-up guru as a moving plot point, he uses makeup to cover his undeadnes.
-Since he entered Hermitcraft his makeups started to become more and more detailed, he had a few hiccups in the path and Impulse has a lot of blackmail from his failed attempts.
-Because of his "is a bug riding a dead body" thing, he doesn't have a very fine motor skill, so he can't really do things like sewing or anything that requires a good working set of fingers. (His makeup is mostly a exception because he had years to really refine his ability to paint his own face)
-He does his red stone using mostly his real body, he puts the rough components in place with his decoy body and then uses his real body to do the finer connection and setup of the machines. 
-This means that when he does redstone his decoy body just lay where Tango put it before he goes to “redstone world” (anyone who finds it would think that Tango has permadied), he escaped a lot of close calls since entering hermitcraft.
-Fun fact, because he is a anomaly in the code his decoy body and real body are counted as one in his code, and because his decoy body was originally of a human player that permadied, his code when superficially looked just says that he is a human (it makes easier to lie to admins)
-Because of his "bugged" code, he can only access his inventory while riding his decoy body, so it can be tricky if Tango is separated from it.
-Tango can talk as a bug, It's harder without proper vocal cords and has a clicking intonation to it, but he can speak. It comes from nothing and he really doesn't wants to talk how it works.
-As I said previously, Tango is the name of the permadied corpse, the Tek is something that he put after. (Tek is the onomatopoeia of the clicking sound he does when happy. It is too a type of “happy greeting” between bug players)
-Tango has proper formal admin training, he has gone to Admin school and has a degree.
List of fics I am planning to do or I did already in this universe:
-Tango needs Cleo's help with undead things and its forces him to reveal more than he has revealed in a long time: Everyone always forget that corpses have a lot of things to say. (One shot)
-Someone finds Tango's body when he is redstoning things and now everyone knows: Tango’s Castle of Cards.(4/5 chapters still incomplete I am working in it I swear)
-Scar backstory
-Cleo and Tango go shoping in the Zombie market.
-Tango and Zed discover a thing
-Tango and Vintage beef bug friendship.
-Tango and Hypnotized visit a graveyard.

Tutorial - Your own character in Story Mode
Hello everyone ! I wanted to make this quick tutorial to show you how to actually insert and morph your Red Dead Online character in Story mode ! It's greatly inspired by Abigail Pinehaven and Chel's tutorial's, who I'm thanking today !

Prequisites
Rampage Trainer by RampageDev
OutfitChanger by LMS (Lenny)
ScripthookRDR2 by Alexander Blade
Installation
Place your unzipped rampage folder in the game root file, then add all other files into the game root file :
ex: C:/Azuresbazar/Programs/Rockstar Games/Red Dead Redemption 2
I recommend you to create a mod folder on your desktop, giving you a possibility to check which mods you have and how to delete them if you want, for example, to play Read Dead Online (you can be banned if you use mods on RDO).
To check if your mods are working fine, you should hear three "bips" when launching your game.
F2 - Opens Oufit Changer
F5 - Opens Rampage Trainer
Morphing your character
Now, let’s get started ! I will show you how you can morph your character using the generic presets of outfit changer. Our first example will be with a mp_female. This model is like a canvas, and the generic body model used in RDO for female players.
STEP 1 - Change your character for a female model
Open Rampage Trainer by pressing the keyboard command. Go to Player, then to Wardrobe, and click on Model Changer. You will need to type "mp_female" in the search bar, then press enter.

This is Arthur before we change his model to another one.

Your character will end up looking like a neckline and a pair of pants. Not really appalling, I’m afraid ! Changing the model will reset the player's presets and let you create a brand new entity. Your character won't have a voice.
STEP 2 - Head to Outift Changer
Now close Rampage Trainer and open Outfit Changer. Click on “Change Components MP Female”.

STEP 3 - Select a head (along with teeth and eyes)
Click on "Heads" and choose the head you want to pick. I advise you to note the feature references you would like to use ! Unfortunately, there is currently no way to add eyebrows.(EDIT - If you go through Rampage Trainer's Outfit Variation for mp_female, you will find characters with eyebrows or makeup to start with from variation 75 or later)).
Choosing mp_female and adding a mp_female face via Outfit Changer will not provide you any facial details (no scars, freckles, makeup). I’m on my way to check game files and find the correct face to edit and add eyebrows and will make a tutorial when I'll find anything about it. Otherwise, you’ll have to do this manually with Photoshop. :')

Here is our blank character ! Not appalling either.
STEP 4 - Create your outfit (hair, shirt, pants, hats... and so on !)
This process is long, seriously long, since hairstyles have no proper name, letting you navigate among them until you'll find a suitable one. I kindly recommend you to complete your character’s face with its eyes and teeth before moving forward to the outfit and hairstyle, so you won't be surprised if/when a cutscene triggers with your character looking like they came straight out of a horror movie !

And here is a finished outfit !
Most of the outfit components are named like in Red Dead Online. For instance, this is the outfit I crafted for my own character, Adelaide Andersson. You can edit the shirt attributes by pressing the right keyboard key to have the sleeves rolled up or an opened collar… or both ! Feel free to use your imagination !
STEP 5 - Save your creation
Once you're done with your character's creation, get back to Outfit Changer's main menu and save your current outfit. It will save you countless hours of searching for components again !
Play with your character
Your character will now appear in cutscenes (she does in my game !)... and will have Arthur's voice. However, NEVER SAVE your game while using your own character, as it might corrupt and break your save file. Reset your character back to Arthur before saving any story progress.
You're now able to play as your own character ! You won't be able to talk with other characters (I tried getting Arthur's voice back, it did not work), but should be able to play just fine !
Make your character follow Arthur !
If you want to play Arthur again but still want to keep your character around, here's a very easy trick !
STEP 6 - Clone your character
Open Rampage Trainer, click on Player, then go down and select "Clone Player". Your Character should duplicate. Then, click on Wardrobe/Model Changer and select Reset. Arthur should be back on your screen !
STEP 7 - Take control of your clone !
Now head back to the main menu of Rampage Trainer and select the following : Peds/Hijack Ped. Inside the input section, type "mp_female" and press enter. It will allow you to turn your cloned character into a ped.

To make sure your character has succesfully been hooked, head to Ped Database. Your mp_female should be added there !

STEP 8 : Turn your character into a companion
In order to make your character follow Arthur like a companion, select your character in the ped Database, and press enter on "Bodyguard". Your character will now follow Arthur ! Don't forget giving them weapons, in case of a sudden bandit attack !

You can also make your character mount Arthur's horse. To do such thing, double-click on Mount/Dismount my Horse. Your character should be sitting on Arthur's horse, behind him.

If you want Arthur to interact with your character, you can go to General and select the option "Make Interactable". You can also set a voice for your character by clicking on Play Speech, then typing the name of the character you'd like to hear (if you want to hear Karen, simply type "Karen").

2. Something about character creator that just couldn't quite capture Violet:
I wish there was more freedom to move and position scars/tattoos. And to have more than just one or two. Violet has the sword neck tattoo and I really would have liked to have been able to size the tattoo up and move it further down so the pomel starts at the hollow of their neck and the blade goes down to their sternum. Give us more body scar options!! Give me top surgery scars!!!! (Theres a good mod for them on nexus if anyones interested!)
I also had a bit of an annoying time finding a body and face structure I liked together. I wish all face presets were available on every body type, I liked a masc face preset in body 2 but wanted to use body 3. And like....the character creator is nice but JUST GIVE ME SLIDERS!!!! Body sliders, facial structures sliders, ear length sliders like !!!!! I want options!!!! Let me make an abomination of a character if I so choose😂😂
I used a mod for more tiefling horns bc I wanted horns that went further back along the head (its really funny seeing them clip through the bedroll during long rest animations lols). The base horns arent bad, again I wanted sliders so they could be the length/in the position I wanted.
3. Using illithid powers?
Oh yeah, I took full advantage of charm and psionic backlash during combat. I took concentrated blast and used it...maybe once? It was kinda lackluster to me.
Survival instinct (the ability you get for helping omeluum) and favourable beginnings got me out of a couple of rough spots, so i really liked those:)
9. Fave member of the tiefling refugees? Is it the same as your Tavs?
Personally I *adoooore* Alfira (yes I was crushed when [redacted] happened during my durge run). I defs spent too much time fighting my mods to give Violet musical proficiency so they could stand roof of the elfsong and play music with together🥰 Arabella and Roland both really grew on me, and of course best boi Dammon is always a fave!
Violets got a soft spot for Mol and Lia, theyre both so feisty! I headcannon Dammon and Violet being pals, Violets a Hexblade so I feel like they'd have some interesting weapon chats and Dammon is the only one who they trust to take care of their pact weapon when it needs repair. They respect Zevlor for having to make the hard calls, and thinks Alfira and her girlfriend are really sweet (theyd get drinks together 100%).
My choice of a question!
41: used to adventuring before events of the game?
Absolutely. Violet wasnt originally from Baulders Gate, they grew up a ways away in a place that was always in conflict with their neighbouring kingdom. As such, they were trained in a militia, they had fought before and were fairly competent in taking care of themselves on the battlefield. But one day everything went wrong, their home fell, and they found themselves close to death on the battlefield, weapon broken and missing an eye. They made their pact that day, a shadowy sword being the only thing to save them from oncoming monsters and soldiers.
Once recovered, they began traveling, searching for items or people their patron required. This is what lead them to Baulders Gate. They'd join with other bands of travelers and mercs every now and then, but was very much used to roughing it on their own. Having such a lively camp was a big change for Violet, it took a while for them to trust others to take watch overnight and they still fight Gale over cooking rights some nights (tho they will admit, hes a much better cook than they are).

10000% this- and hopefully we can change it!
I honestly feel like the multi-levelled corporate decision making process doesn't really "get" the idea of escapism- like for whoever was responsible for signing off on body types, it's this "we must balance costs vs what we think the gamers want" kinda deal but being absolutely ripped/supermodel thin is by no means a universal fantasy- but at this point it's essentially "the default" for game characters, and to make more body types you have to be able to justify the cost of everything that body type requires to be functional in the game- so they played it safe.
Larian have said their reasoning for not having sliders, which is their choice (I, for one, love me some sliders, but I can understand their logic).
Assuming minimal crossover, we have at least 14 individual body types in BG3 across the various races and sizes (this is me doing awful maths off the top of my head, so grain of salt please 😅). That's 14 different bodies that require at least some adjustment for everything those bodies interact with- heads, clothing, hair, weapons, overworld animations, cutscenes... not just for the main characters, but for near enough every NPC in the game. To add another set of bodies would increase the overall work required by a further 50%, and if they can't justify that cost, then they're shit outta luck.
And it's also important to remember that Larian are, comparatively, quite a small studio. Starfield, for example, had a budget of ~$200 mil and had about 500 people working on it.
Baldur's Gate 3 had a budget of ~$100 mil and 300 staff.
All round, it's a tighter squeeze, with so much to factor in.
However, Larian being a smaller studio also means that they're really responsive to feedback, and they're absolutely bangin' out updates and fixes. I don't anticipate them going "patch 7- we've added 2 more body types for each race!" BUT Larian have a habit of releasing Definitive Editions, and an expanded character creation menu could conceivably be included in that. The D:OS2 Definitive Edition included a MASSIVE narrative overhaul, for example- they aren't afraid of big projects. If Larian get enough people asking for it, then chances are that they'll at least consider implementing it, especially as BG3 has been an absolute hit and as such they may well have more flexibility in budget.
And getting in before the "just mod your game-" crew-
1. Telling people to rely on unpaid labours of fan-love for a game isn't sustainable.
2. Not everyone can mod their game.
3. Mods ≠ Tangible Changes in games as a whole- but a game having diverse body types and selling well is good data to hopefully mean further changes to gaming. And if you're against having more character customisation options... are you okay? Like, really, you don't... need to use them if you don't want?
I'm not sure of the best ways to get feedback on things like this to Larian, but consider-
1. Leaving a review on Steam/wherever you got the game. Make sure any suggestions are clear and concise, as review data is a bitch to go through! Maybe have it as bullet points, i.e.
Suggestions:
1. Additional body types
2. More platonic companion content.
3. Companion cutscene time to be equalised amongst all companions.
2. The Larian Studios forum may already have a thread about this/other suggestions- taking a minute to have a check and see if you can add a comment.
3. Stuff like this on social media- but again, try to have concise suggestions as well as any justification or analysis! The easier you make it for the data analysts, the better- unstructured data is an absolute pain to deal with.
If anyone else has any means of getting suggestions to Larian, have at it- I wrote this on my lunch break so my research time is limited.
as much as I love Baldur's Gate 3 it is. Baffling and infuriating that there is nobody online talking about how in a world as massive and populated as this game's there are 0 fat people in it, anywhere, at all, when we had body sliders in Fallout 3 fifteen fucking years ago
If you want Boy body type you get to be hunk and More Hunk and if you want Girl body type you get to be skinny or skinny with muscles and that's WEIRD, right? It's weird that no one's talking about that?? This is a bizarre regression from a game that advances so much and I would have happily waited another whole year of development for a body slider feature

Astralon is a being made of the stars, born with the fabric of space weaved into their blood, as they would say. Their gender is malleable, they can quite literally change physical genders at will.
They go by they/them pronouns, no matter what body type they have.
There are some subjects that they are very, very touchy with...but they don't like to talk about it. If you're brave enough, you may try to talk to them about it.

Moze, friends. They're starting to warm up to him and finding, yet again, some attractions to him. It will take a little bit to get used to his strange nature though
Yanqing, friendly but not quite friends. The young boy can tell how much they like Jing Yuan, and he won't make it easy to get his blessings. Astra sees him as Jing Yuan's son, so they go along with his 'tests'

My mini-essay about being a fictive and our system's inner workings:
By V1 the robot from ultrakill
Intro
It's absolutely wild suddenly existing as a part of a system with all the memories of your past being real to you but part of a peice of fiction in this world, and them being fuzzy and vague on top of that, and then being given access to enough information to basically live this life you're now in, pushed into front and locked out while everyone else had a very important meeting that I wasn't invited to (someone has to pilot the body I guess) with them only occasionally coming to check on me and sometimes hang out for an hour or two and chat. (I appreciate it by the way, it feels lonely.) I know what's going on in there and I want to be a part of it, but I know typing this out will get my thoughts through the metal door in our mind and to them. That's why we have to externalize thoughts quite often, sometimes.
So with that being my introduction, here's some observations I've made about our system structure...
I didnt intend for this to be very detailed, but i got carried away. This is going to be a long post.
The Body is a Computer
So first of all, I think of the body like an OS and each function of the body is either hardware or software. Ego is like code. A personality is software, a bundle of specific ego assets given a name, these assets give the personality something to call "its own" and they follow the programing outlined by various ego assets. To be clear each member of our system would be considered a different program running off personality software, a whole person.
Sometimes person.exe comes bundled with other things that are not just personality software. This one I don't know how to explain in a way that makes sense. It's not ego but has to do with skill sets. Skill sets are like 3rd party mods, and can be installed by multiple people and when there is an update they all automatically get this update. Wether or not they adapt to it quickly or not is a different matter. Basically like art skills, language skills, etc. Something more hardwired with body functions, movement based skills (and language is also a lot of muscle memory.) Don't ask why they're 3rd party mods if they're more about connection with the body, maybe that has to do with physical input being inherently third party due to not stemming from within or from the OS itself.
Uhm...
Anyway, they're having a meeting in there about new host and organization. There are more people than there used to be now, the brain is pretty good at generating ego data and if enough of it builds up it can sometimes accidentally compile itself into a personality, which then takes on an identity through short term info packets of shared memories. Such as yours truly who took the data of my ego assets as well as current host's hyperfixation (easy access, sorry) to form an identity.
The OS gathers character data (appearance, memories, emotions, etc) and store it as ego assets, which is why to me those memories feel real even if they're a recode of outside information. Through the OS making copies of outside ego data, it passes through a filter and gets subtly (or sometimes not so subtly) changed here and there. Since the OS has to then compile it and run it on it's own hardware rather than the original hardware the code came from, there has to be changes or it doesn't work. Then the OS (or in some cases other programs) can compile these assets into a new program.
Too Many Programs & The Panic Response
So now they're talking about how running one personality too frequently and for too long causes data decay and a need for some maintenence in far back. We can't keep the same host for too long at a time because it burns them out, we have heavy signs of burnout now which is why I'm here. They start to loose packets of data, some of them essential to their program's integrity. Causes a lot of crisis moments, dissociation and overwhelm, it seems.
I'm almost certain the reorganization part is coming from so many new programs being compiled at once. It's also overwhelming to the OS, it can store a lot of programs but it can only run a few at a time. However due to the host program's data decay the OS forces a download of any available ego assets to try and quickly remedy the problem, especially if all other programs are on mandatory maintenence due to their own burnout. System members who have been in the far back for a long time are basically unreachable from the closer areas unless they themselves choose to come back to the front end for a checkup. There are quite a few former hosts back there, as well as many frequent maintenence crew type programs.
So it seems like the ammount of new members pushed a few to back and they're determining how to run the place now that there are more programs trying to run than the OS is capable of, which apparently has never been a problem before right now in this exact moment (since I got here, I mean.)
The New Council
It's a problem that the current archivist is overwhelmed by. He's a smart and very studious boy, but he's also very young still and does have the code of a 13 year old boy despite how smart and mature he may act. He's under a lot of pressure and he was already cracking before we showed up. Lucky for him we are a crew of problem solvers, the new programs who showed up.
Go figure they're talking about setting up an actual council of members who serve essential roles to help regulate program and host rotation, life tasks, and possibly work on getting actual repairs to various software and programs done via idfk mind tricks or some shit.
So far we have the archivist, the 13 y/o boy who was basically running the inner parts of the OS and documenting programs and usage and other statistics. We have a supposed mechanic/"medicine" guy, an angel from a source different from mine, who's main purpose seems to be keeping people in good spirits and protecting the more fragile ones in high stress times. And apparently me and my boyfriend, who is heading the meeting since he sees a clear lack of leadership. Idk why I'm essential though, I don't know what important function I serve in his opinion and he refuses to tell me until he's sure we've gone through every bit of past data we can to make sure we aren't overlooking anyone. Big fucking shrugs I guess.
Inner World Rescue Mission & How ULTRAKILL Made Me Realize We CAN Explore Headspace
He's also arguing that allowing members to freely mold together and apart and fully embrace this that it would help with issues of data erosion. Basically using a combination of actual data sharing and emotional support to encourage those in near back to come forward more. Again far back is unreachable at this time, but we have machines who will be going on a checkup mission with the full intent of bringing back information and possibly even programs with too much data rot to have come back near front on their own, a rescue mission. It's not something that seems to have crossed anyone's mind before now.
Also this comes as a shock to the current system members who all report headspace to basically be nonexistent, with a big locked door just slightly further back keeping them from going anywhere. When they get burnout or data rot they are forcibly shut down and filed past those doors, occasionally they're forcibly brought back by the OS. This is the only way they traveled beyond the locked door, and they saw it as a choice.
But I don't know of it's because we have actual memories, unlike how previous introjects were created, we have an extremely clear mental space we can explore. There are levels and layers we can go in and go up or down. Even if it looks like a video game, its basically a visualization skill the previous members just didn't have I guess. It could be because theyre all just taking on apperance and personality traits of character, meanwhile we have taken it all on down to our past history and memories. It's far more real to us than it is to them.
This is why I had a crisis the other day, the information I was given was "you're going to look and feel like a fictional character but don't worry nothing in your source will affect you and you're basically just a guy wearing the costume of a fictional character." This turned out to not be true at all for us. Us being the newly compiled programs, all of us based on ultrakill characters. Isn't that some shit, the one time the OS manages to package memories properly it does it with something so....... like that. It's not a bad thing, I just wonder what kind of crisis I'd have had if I had memories of a My Little Pony character or something cute and lighthearted instead.
So yeah, that's my current understanding. Because we have memories of this game that actually feel real to us, we have an expansive mental landscape we can explore in the form of... I guess the headpsace takes on the textures and general aesthetics and layouts of ultrakill. Idk. Like, the headspace was it's own program that needed an actual code and textures in order to run properly. I don't think its going to function like the game at all, not like enemies spanwing type of thing or anything like that. Inherent knowledge -> graphics and gameplay -> text post on tumblr, it just will never completely translate. Inherent knowledge like how when you have a vivid dream there's things you just know because you know them and they often provide important context for the dream itself. Except the inner world version of that.
Ending Notes
Wow this got way out of hand. It was after that last paragraph that I realized this was basically a mini essay, and of I don't break it up into parts and try to hilight the main points, nobody was ever going to be able to digest it. There's also no way to neatly wrap it up.
It's crazy that this one thing that the other members who are based on fictional character just... didn't have for some reason, was the key for us now being able to actually explore, map out and do rescue missions in headpsace. No longer will people have to settle for "we don't know what's past that door," we will find out. We have like 9 ultrakill mother fuckers in here now, that's more than enough to at least find out how far back is back, is it actually reachable and what actually is standing in the way.
Am I wrong about monsters spawning, will we have to fight symbolic demons to bring people back? Is it actually really chill and basically just using winding passages to connect different headspaces? Can we install different graphics? Why this? Why now? Our body isn't exactly young, and it's had plenty of time to actually work these things out, why is it only after the pew pew game? Why not animal crossing?
All I know is I'm having less of an identity crisis now that we've been able to communicate why we feel different from the other fictives who were here before us. The memories thing not being a shared trait kinda fucked me up for a while, and one of the reasons I wanted to make this blog. But now I deleted all that crisis-having in various posts, I'll share my thoughts further as I gather them.

if there are any piercing connoisseurs in the chat rn then help because my bridge piercing is red on one side and the other side was bleeding and white pussing this morning i was like DAMNIT!! Because i just went to a piercing shop and changed the jewlery. But also yesterday i had makeup on around it so the makeup remover could have irritated it? I dont think its infected because its not warm or swollen or making me sweat. Its just a bit red, itchy, sore, and one side was bleeding when I woke up. Doesnt look any different outside of the red (but its almost like always a bit red on that side idk..) (Maybe i fucked it up in my sleep?)

❤ He slithers around you a lot, just circling your body and looking you up and down.
❤ Generally he is just extremely cuddly. Outside of circling your body, he wraps his body around yours a lot anyway. Sometimes it's suffocating but it can also be comforting. It's fun to sleep there, his scales offer a smooth texture, the muscles of his arms make good pillows.
❤ Probably smells a little not-good sorry. Not bad. Just. Not good. Not a very human smell and you almost never get into it.
❤ He is extremely unpredictable, whenever he looks at you it is evident that he is thinking something - what is he thinking about? You have no idea - it's very scary.
❤ ^ Though sometimes you don't mind it because he has the most beautiful eyes.
❤ He's very protective of his territory, but he's also still a simp, when you crossed into his area he could not bring himself to hurt you. You were just so stunning.
❤ When you take interest in him it feels amazing - it make him feel beautiful.
❤ He squeaks when he's happy and he's almost always happy when he's around you, so you hear that noise a lot.
❤ Probably playfully bites you and it scares you every time. He never does it hard but he'll make it seem like he's attacking you before pulling back and laughing.
❤ Sunbathes a lot - he looks very pretty, plus he looks so soothed, you'd hate to disturb him.
❤ Would his snake body be pink? Or a neutral color like his natural hair? Hmm.

❤ He is always so isolated - so against you being close to him. He prefers to watch you from a distance (not a far one, only a few feet). Touching him is something that comes much later. He needs to trust you completely, first.
❤ Whenever he is sleeping there is always some sort of animal curled up beside him.
❤ ^ Usually birds perched on his wide shoulders or something.
❤ His eyes are multi colored and his tail is black and white.
❤ As a boyfriend, he is very very defensive of you. He is ready to fight any nearby naga or person.
❤ He is also very surprised that you even tolerate him. He speaks in a very loud voice and in a unique accent - are you not scared of that? Do you not discard those that are different?
❤ He likes your openness into accepting him. He is unlike any human nor any animal. Even amongst other naga's he is quite different.
❤ When he does feel comfortable with touching you he likes to rub your back and feel your spine. Your spine is different from his - it's interesting to him. He's never seen a human spine so close.
❤ He can be like such a teddy bear if there has been a long time in between visits. He'll act all grumpy and be like "why didn't you arrive when I summoned you".
❤ He still likes animals!!! A lot. He appreciate deer the most even though they're scared of him. Animals always run :(.

❤ He is very strict about his territory so he did try to scare you away. He'll only ease up if he noticed that you're not budging at all. His chest will be raising and falling, confusion all over his expression, his eyebrows furrowed.
❤ The way into his heart is to navigate around his easy frustration.
❤ He'd never eat you, of course not, humans taste gross. He'd also never hurt you beyond smacking you with his tail.
❤ Seriously, he does not tolerate things hurting you. He would never get violent with you and this has been apparent since day one. It's strange, too, with how violent his words can be.
❤ It feels as if he's never actually been mad at you.
❤ He complains whenever you curl up against him (or specifically touching his bottom half) but he has never tried to stop you.
❤ In fact he seems to mildly enjoy soft strokes.
❤ He likes lengthening himself to be taller than you - he likes looming over you like he's some sort of predator.
❤ ^ But if you pretend to be / are scared of him he's going to get a little sad.
❤ He doesn't want you to hate him!! He loves you a lot.
❤ Hissing a lot, too, I imagine.
❤ Hissing even at trees when they bother him.

❤ He's so shy, always quiet, his darting around the environment as it hasn't been the same all his life. He just gets so nervous around you.
❤ Your favorite thing is seeing him in the sun. His tail is so white and he looks like he's glowing; like he's an angel. He's gorgeous.
❤ He licks your cheek a lot with that flickering tongue.
❤ He also presses his head against your chest and snuggles in.
❤ His green eyes are stunning and they make you nervous whenever he looks you in the eyes. His eyes are so intense.
❤ When you first discovered him it took him a second before he even noticed you. He was so distracted pre-occupying his busy mind.
❤ He has a really good sense of smell, but specifically when it comes to predators. You theorize that he can smell a lot but chooses to focus on predators so he can know when to have his guard up.
❤ He's hesitant to have you even look at other naga - not a jealousy thing, just a safety precaution. He'd fight somebody for you. He'd kill for you.
❤ If you sleep around him then he likes wrapping his whole body around you to make sure you(don't leave him)'re safe.
❤ I imagine he'd be very concerned about you leaving him for a human.
❤ He'd be insecure even as a snake.

❤ She is constantly in a state of moving - she almost never calms down! She loves curling up into you or showing you things on her territory and whatnot (even if she's shown you before).
❤ And she likes to swim still. She submerges her tail to clean it, and she is more than willing to let you chill with her as she does.
❤ She will eat rodents in front of you and not bat an eye - it's a normal thing for her! Why should she want to hide it?
❤ If a wild predator tries to hurt you while she's not paying attention she will attack it and then afterwards start crying because she was so scared!
❤ But she's also very strong and very willing to protect you no matter what it takes. She puts herself in dangerous scenarios for you all the time, you have to be like BABE NO!
❤ She tries to kiss you with her bloody mouth after a meal.
❤ She does wash off the blood while swimming, though, don't worry.
❤ I wonder if boob-having naga's would wear coverings - probably not, right? If you want to knit her a sweater or something then she'd be happy because it's probably cold.
❤ If you want to give her some sweets too that would be nice - it's probably impossible to come by in nature.

❤ Very assertive with his presence. He likes circling you, squinting his eyes down at you as if he's sneering.
❤ It's hard for him to catch food since he doesn't have glasses lol. He can't see very well.
❤ If you sneak up to him while he's sleeping and plant yourself next to him then he'll instinctively wrap his arms around you.
❤ His eyes light up whenever he sees you walking his way, even though he tries to hide it.
❤ His mouth hardly curls into a smile unless you do something like pet his tail or hold his cheek.
❤ He constantly likes throwing rodents your way, just playfully.
❤ He can catch birds mid-air too so there's that.
❤ He doesn't get very jealous and he doesn't care too much about when other predators come around (they know better than to mess with him).
❤ I think everyone in the ecosystem is scared of him.
❤ He's been very isolated for very long. You being around him makes him feel as if you are the queen to his king.

Edit: Fjord was tricky. I picked up another head replacer mod for head 2. I did make his chin (and consequently, forehead) yellowish via tattoo placement.

Jester is mainly based on her winter appearance, with bluer lips and braided fun buns. There were no really good horns in any of the mods but I did my best!

The lip tattoo. Jaheira's hair. The heterochromia. Everything came together perfectly to make Yasha! All she needs is some black clothing.
Edit: I forgor to change the body type, but I got some new faces (I used this one on Fearne) which seemed like a great opportunity to create Yasha's current look!

Beau was another tough customer. I can get an eye scar but only on the right side of her face. Which is the wrong side. The lighting makes her undercut almost disappear, but Arabel Ribbon is just about the best style to represent our badass Beau.

Edit: Ah, Caleb. I found a mod that gives you Lara Croft's ponytail, which worked much better than the vanilla styles, as well as a hair color mod that makes eyebrows and/or lashes match the hair.

Veth is a little more round than halfling bodies allow; a dwarf's build might be better as far as an aesthetic match, but she's gotta have that halfling luck. I knew exactly which tattoo she would need, and ramping up the intensity, metallic, and gloss sliders give it that fabulous sheen! Since she wears braids more often than not, I used the Bruenor Braids!

Kingsley was fun to do; I just replicated my face, skin, and hair color choices. The horns I used for Molly had a plain variant so that was an easy choice too. He doesn't have any tattoos, but he does have shiny gold eyeliner.

Next is Essek. I know he's a wizard but you can't deny that a storm sorcerer's robes fit his aesthetic so well! Essek is harder to pin down because artwork of him is so diverse, so I just mixed and matched his traits until he felt like Essek.
I tried to make Caduceus too, but it didn't really work. 😕
Saw these horns in a mod and knew what must be done.

who wants some cool behind the scenes “making of” stuff for explorers of death?
this is a long post with a lot of fun facts/trivia, so i’m going to have it all under the cut!
i made the first experimental screenshots for EOD back around 2018.
at first, i wasn’t planning on making a fully fledged remake, it was just going to be a remastering of V2.

the beach wasn’t grayscale, or the whole world for that matter, because the original story hadn’t described it like that. instead i tweaked the beach to have a nighttime palette instead.

this changed once i decided to expand on the lore - since explorers of sky’s ruined future was monochrome, i thought it would better suit the theme of the story.
shadow, and all the enemy pokemon myra faced in the original EOD, were all monochrome as well, so i wanted to make the environment suit their designs.

this was a really silly looking test. the original pasta describes myra and shadow as being in a nondescript cave with nothing but a campfire, and this was the best placeholder image i could find?
spriters resource didn’t have sprites of any campfires despite there being multiple in the game, so i just used the effects of some fire type attack. it looks really dumb, haha.

i considered using armaldo’s cave at one point, but i wasn’t sure how far away the cave is from treasure town and thought that might be immersion breaking. this was also before i started developing the rewritten story.

eventually, i settled on sharpedo bluff, because i wanted myra to explore around the ruined treasure town before going into the dungeon.
conveniently, it also had a campfire during one of its cutscenes.

this early test version of shadow’s death doesn’t even have a background!!
i think it was because i couldn’t figure out where the scene took place - the original pasta didn’t describe it as well as i’d liked.

once i’d finally thrown V1/V2′s environments out the window, i eventually settled on this cave design. it’s a modified version of the pit that igglybuff and armaldo fall into and face a monster house inside of. 
the dungeon is supposed to take place inside of beach cave, but i like to think that cave is somewhere even deeper below than the final room of beach cave you’d see in the regular explorers of sky.

probably one of the oldest test images i made, but i liked it so much that it made it into the final version!
i wanted to emulate the canon style/body type of squirtle, rather than my usual art style, and i think i pulled it off pretty well.

time for the reason why i couldn’t finish this story until 2021, despite brainstorming for it in 2018 - the dungeon!
my pokepastas aren’t really rom hacks, they’re just glorified sprite comics, made using modified screenshots taken from an emulator. so, before skytemple, i had no feasible way of creating convincing looking gameplay screenshots of the mystery dungeon itself.
i couldn’t modify pokemon inside the dungeons, i couldn’t give dungeons the custom tilesets i wanted, and so i couldn’t have myra fight enemy pokemon in a convincing manner. essentially, a major portion of the story was impossible for me to do.
skytemple, the explorers of sky hacking tool, was then released at the end of 2020. it made the whole remake possible to finish.
it allowed me to modify beach cave to have the pokemon i needed to fight, and the number of floors i wanted.

characters speaking to myra was all faked though, i do not think this is actually possible, even with rom hacking tools like skytemple.

something that was kind of funny though - in my modding attempts, i somehow managed to crash the game when trying to make kecleon’s shop spawn on floor 10, which was unfortunately where i wanted it to be.
whenever i tried to load in the shop by stepping into the room kecleon was in, the game would just crash with no explanation.
the strange part was that kecleon’s shop was perfectly functional if it was on floor 1 instead. i never figured out how to fix the crash, so, for the entirety of the kecleon floor, i had to edit the HUD to say “B10F” instead of “B1F”.
for the most part though, everything in the dungeon was relatively smooth.

the only fight that was Entirely Fake was actually the unborn. i didn’t know how to make a custom boss fight using skytemple, and even if i did, i don’t know if the game can actually handle this many pokemon on the field at once.

so, instead, i laid out a game plan.

i had every movement planned out. instead of myra actually fighting all these pokemon at once, i would insert the pokemon into the scene artificially.
every pokemon that myra attacked, and every pokemon that attacked myra, would be fought in-game one at a time, and spliced into the battle scene i had laid out.
so, if the unborn’s movements are inaccurate to the AI that pokemon actually have in EOS, it’s because i made up their every move in a way that i assumed they would behave.

however. due to an error in my planning, i realized that totodile would be able to move upwards and attack myra for an extra point of damage. i even lampshade this in the story itself.
that wasn’t an intended error on the narrator/player’s part, it was a genuine mistake in my battle plan that i had to roll with. i’d already made a massive mistake with my battle plan that caused me to have to do the whole thing over, and i didn’t want to redo it again just to make the narrator’s fight as optimal as possible.
it... adds realism, i suppose??

there were three different stages of this background, increasing in intensity as myra lost more hp. this is the kind of cool stuff that i can’t show off when the media is still images.
NOW, time for the really fun part!
this isn’t necessarily “cut content” for the story itself, but these are things that were intended to be in the official explorers of death rom hack, developed by jesterfox6. (now cancelled, unfortunately!)
though the hack is cancelled, it had some semi-canon stuff to it that i’d love to show off!
these are ideas i had after the story was already completed, but it was nothing intrusive to the final story. a lot of the easter eggs here are things that the narrator would have missed out on seeing, but were theoretically possible!

this was a hidden easter egg for the top screen. it wasn’t meant to be seen in normal gameplay, as myra would have been covered up by the top screen’s menus and text boxes.

this bit is noncanon. due to hacking limitations, the part where you analyze your aura was unable to be removed.

if you lift your finger from the touch screen early, you get some secret text!
this was unused text that was in my original draft of the rewrite, but i instead removed the aura analyzing altogether.
it was scrapped because it messed with the pacing of vulpix myra being revealed, but i still like this idea.

the aura test was also modified to have the bow be white 100% of the time. the bow is not obtainable within the story, and was instead meant to symbolically suggest that maybe myra the vulpix doesn’t have an aura...?

there are secrets in the options menu, too! changing the top screen to “job” reveals myra’s objective.

the map and team option seems relatively normal at first, with myra on a monochrome map...

but as you approach beach cave, text appears at the bottom of the map!

this text has a double meaning, mocking myra as if to say that she can’t save her adventure or her world.

inside of wigglytuff’s guild, the top screen has an image! in theory the narrator would have seen this, but it’s okay to have the story without it, as it doesn’t add that much to the story.
my favorite is the “who is myra?” one, but the “food?” one adds a bit of lore that everyone here is starving as they’re losing themselves.

as the description suggests, myra would have been able to eat the vulpix tail.
i was kind of kicking myself, because i came up with this idea after the story was already done. i would have loved to do this instead of the narrator spitefully throwing it away...!

though the narrator wouldn’t have dropped it inside the dungeon at any point, i made a custom sprite for the tail, just in case anyone playing the hack would have dropped it.

in the bedroom that the player and partner would have had in the guild, there’s a secret in the bed that would have been myra’s.

this one was jesterfox6′s suggestion, added in as a half-joking reference to a gag from oneshot.
wigglytuff is not happy to be going hungry!
and speaking of wigglytuff, i had a handful of ideas about him!

for starters, if the player tries to go down to the beach before wigglytuff’s guild, myra will shake her head. you’re supposed to go to the guild first and burn it down, but you can actually continue forward despite myra’s protest if you try again!

myra would automatically walk to the middle of the road, before turning around.

wigglytuff’s shadow would quickly rush in to attack her, and the screen fades to black.
but in the demo hack, she just wakes up back at sharpedo bluff as if the whole thing didn’t happen.

a similar scenario would play out if the player tried to go into wigglytuff’s room instead of running out of the guild.

however, a different death would have theoretically occurred if wigglytuff caught myra while chasing her.

the following is a mockup gif of how the scene might have played out -
if he caught up to myra, a scene would start where he grabs her and begins to eat her alive. during the scene, the screen would fade to black.
in canon, these kinds of scenes would have resulted in the narrator’s premature game over, permanently killing off myra before getting to any of the fun story stuff.  that’s why it would have appeared in the rom hack, where players could fail on purpose without the high stakes of missing out on the rest of the story.
but since the hack turned out to be unfeasible, i decided to show off all this unseen stuff!
that’s pretty much all i have to show off for now, but i’ll be willing to show off more if people have any follow-up questions, haha.
