Understandable. Though I still think it can be very fun to explore romantic relationships between them and Ultimates. Especially in Nagito's case.
Like I have this one alternate idea for how Nagito could have figured out who Imposter really is. Where he starts to notice that there's a quality gap in the sketches Ryota does in class and the ones he brings from his dorm. They're good, but look like ones drawn by a relative newcomer to animation. And moreover he's shocked when he does a background check and finds that Ryota Mitarai has been chronically underweight his whole life. With the last photo of him taken months before Hope's Peak reflecting that. Which leads to Nagito confronting Imposter to ask who they are and where the real Ryota Mitarai is.
Imposter is actually somewhat relieved when they realize the confrontation comes out of concern for Ryota, and quickly calms Nagito by showing that he's perfectly safe. And then Nagito gets very excited upon realizing he's stumbled upon the class' secret Ultimate with a talent that fooled everyone. And it lead to some weirdly heartwarming bonding where they slowly work on building up a sense of self-worth in each other.
With Nagito volunteering to help Imposter perfect their Nagito Komaeda impersonation. Helping them to appreciate just how incredible it really is that they can so flawlessly mimic the mannerisms and even skills of himself and their classmates. And with Imposter in turn taking the time to observe that there's one thing about Nagito that they just can't nail. The crazy luck. They've become a decent animator, they've learned some first aid, and they even feel confident enough that they could pass themselves off as a mechanic or team manager. But all of their test runs at replicating Nagito's luck through stuff like coin flips all turn out to be busts. And despite how frustrating that luck can be to Nagito, he does still have something quite special that can't be imitated. Even by someone that Nagito now considers one of the most talented Ultimates at Hope's Peak.
Also I think there's some fun to be had with Nagito and Mahiru's talent. Like what makes hers interesting is that her particular subject of focus in photography is actually right up Nagito's alley taste-wise. Mahiru and others might think that her work doesn't quite stack up to the famous war photography of her mother. But the idea of focusing on people at their brightest and happiest is like peak art for Nagito. And I think he's one of the few people in the class who could give her the detailed critique that she craves in her FTEs.
The fact that she herself is a relatively normal person compared to most at Hope's Peak adds to that. Like it makes her one of the people that would make it easiest for Nagito to come to terms with not putting Ultimates on a pedestal. She'd probably be one who would actually be fully onboard with renouncing the title she was given. Which I think could lead to its own heartwarming interaction.
Nagito: "Is it okay if I keep thinking of you as the Ultimate Photographer? Not as like a position or anything. But...just for me? Because even if there are a hundred more skilled photographers out there, none of their photos would make me feel as warm as yours do."
Mahiru: "...Okay. Just for you and me. As long as I get to think of you as my Ultimate Luckster. Because I feel very lucky to have known you."
I definitely agree that all of those scenarios are a lot of fun, and I do love Nagito having deep and meaningful relationships with Imposter and Mahiru. Like I kind of mentioned briefly in that one post, I think the issue is mainly that I also kind of have some hangups around the need to be empirically, competitively good at things, and I find it more comforting if the characters I like aren't focused on that.
So while, on a sheer character basis, I love a lot of the potential in those ships and can enjoy content about them, the ships I draw the most comfort from are the ones that are saying, "Don't worry, you don't have to be the best at anything; just try your best."

Agreed, I don't think it makes any sense for it to work that way. I do think he thinks he does though. I would even go a step further to say he truly has almost none of the talents he claims to.
Hope's Peak was a research facility as much as it is a school - it was studying luck and all the other talents under the guise of helping those talents blossom. Why? Because it wanted to control those talents and be able to create it artificially.
I'm not sure if it was said anywhere, but I'm fairly certain the school is ran by people without talent, but who are interested in it for gain personal gain. It may not have always been like this, but certainly the direction the Steering Committee took it involved going some pretty fucking shady places.
Kamukura had all traces of Hinata's memory wiped, and was more or less raised by the scientists and researchers who told him he had every talent. I personally suspect this was a lie, or at least a narrative pushed by the people working on the Kamukura Project.
The reality is that they took this normal kid, and pumped him full of experimental drugs, altered his body in other ways, and had their Ultimate Neurosurgeon wipe his memory and "implant talent".
In theory, that neurosurgeon is Matsuda from Danganronpa 0. This guy is the one who's been friends with Junko from childhood, and primarily gone into neuroscience for her. The talent he's most studied is in fact, that of the Ultimate Analyst - Junko's true talent. We even know he's toyed around in her brain, giving her reversible amnesia, and otherwise studying her whole deal.
I think that is what he gave to Kamukura. This talent, combined with the augmentations to his body make it so when they feed him the decades of research the school has collected on every student who has passed through their gates mean that he can successfully do nearly anything he's asked.
Part of the reason I think he has this Ultimate Analysis talent over anything else is because of his insatiable boredom. Much like Junko, he struggles to find interest in anything because it's all so predictable. She solved this problem by throwing the world into utter chaos and wreaking despair - something she finds is able to surprise her from time to time. Kamukura is similarly struggling with this, and intrigued by her offer, since she is similar to him in a lot of ways.
So he believes he has luck because he was told he has luck, and has no idea what luck as a talent really is (at least not to the extent that Komaeda or Naegi has it. Everyone has some luck of course) because Hope's Peak Academy itself has no idea what it is or how it works.
One aspect of canon i tend to reject is the 'Kamukura also has ultimate luck' from dr3. It just doesnt make sense to me. You can't artificially engineer luck. You cant cultivate luck (there are superstitions and spiritual beliefs around luck but discarding that bc i dont think its what they had in mind), you can't teach it or learn it, it's not a skill. It's arguably not even a talent- though it is something that naturally occurs.
Characters like komaeda and naegi are outliers because of their luck, and are special because of it. Only accepted into hope's peak because thats the one thing they can't naturally measure- luck. You can try to study lucky individuals, and there is things to be learned from them- naegi and komaeda's luck cycles, for example, and the similarities and differences between how they function- but you just cant. Create someone who's lucky. You can't! It's the only thing that isn't a skill. You can utilise it skillfully (nagito utilising it in the 5th chapter of dr2 for example) but you cant artificially simulate it.
So i tend to ignore that claim. I WILL accept kamukura having incredible intuition, and a combination of his other talents simulating luck (fortune telling, analysis, prediction + a VERY heightened intuition etc) but him having Ultimate luck would defy the point of luck being included as a talent in hope's peak to begin with.

I hope this request is good!
Could I get headcanons (you can include nsfw or not, your choice!) For Danganronpa Makoto Naegi, Nagito Komaeda and/or Miu Iruma with a innocent!reader (they don't understand dirty concepts or jokes of anykind)?
sure thing ! i added a bit more to the request if you don’t mind
- makoto, nagito, and miu with an innocent s/o
gender neutral reader
warnings: swearing, slight nsfw (mentions of sex/loss of viginity), a toy is mentioned like once lol
nsfw under the tag !
Tumblr media
makoto naegi
- my god, this boy is flustered
- for real, he feels like an awkward parent handling a five year old
- he thinks to himself  “am i even allowed to say anything?” as you bomb him with question after question. he feels pretty guilty, like he’s tainting your innocence.
- just how bad was your health class?
- although, he kind of thinks it’s cute
- Makoto isn’t a dirty minded person so it doesn’t really affect him. he prefers someone whos personality and humor isn’t dirty jokes
- he’s always there to comfort you when the guys make dirty jokes around you
- “Ha! that’s what she said!” you turn to Makoto, “Makoto, what do they mean?” “D-don’t worry about it.”
- i couldn’t think of another joke oh my god help
- when you ask for the sex talk his face starting burning up. he couldn’t even speak for five minutes. he does his best, trying to keep it as calm yet educational as possible
- when you ask him to show you, he freezes. he would ask you over and over again if you’re 100% sure (we love consent). when you tell him your positive, he agrees
- he handles you with care, almost afraid that he’s going to break you. but he starts to relax when you tell him you’re fine
- makoto loves his innocence s/o, he wouldn’t want it any other way
nagito komaeda
- he’s pretty intrigued that you don’t have any knowledge of dirty jokes
- he calls you his little hope angel because of your innocence
- Nagito is also not a very dirty person so he doesn’t really care
- is ready to THROW HANDS if Kazuichi or Teruteru crosses the line
- he starts to get on edge when they’re around you. it’s not that he doesn’t trust he beloved classmates, but he knows how Kazuichi and Teruteru can be
- one time Kazuichi and Teruteru were being well...themselves and you just happened to passed by. Kazuichi and Teruteru decided to take advantage of your innocence.
- “hey (y/n), i want my head between your thighs.” “won’t that be...uncomfortable?”
- Nagito then steps in, “Hey, you’re clearing bothering (y/n), please cut it out.”
- due to his bad luck, he has lead himself into some awkward situations
- one time he was walking around trying to find you. he finally spots you hanging with Fuyuhiko and starts heading over; only for him to trip over his feet and crash on top of you
- you didn’t understand why this situation was sexual and Fuyuhiko was going on about how this isn’t appropriate behavior. Nagito softly smiles, shaking his head
- “guess my luck isn’t so bad after all.”
- when you asked for the sex talk, he was caught off guard. he tried to calmly explain to you the basics, but he couldn’t fight back the blush rising onto his cheeks
- when you asked to demonstrate it he almost said yes, but then he didn’t want to take away his little hope angels innocence away just yet
- but you insisted, and he finally gave in. he’s gentle the whole time, praising you over and over again
- you’re still his innocent hope angel, no matter how many nights he dominates you
miu iruma
- OH MY GOD
- PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF
- all of your classmates pray for you. because your innocent ass is dating Miu
- who will say a sex joke in every sentence she says
- it was a nightmare when the two of you first met.
- “dammit i’m in heat right now. im gonna go fuckin’ crazy!” “in...heat?’
- she thinks you’re kidding at first with the whole innocent act. but when she finds out that you’re actually as innocent as you seem. she couldn’t believe her ears
- “are ya fuckin’ dumb or something?”
- at first your classmates tried to protect you so that Miu didn’t taint your innocence, but you declined. you were very interested in Miu even though you didn’t know what she meant half of the time
- the swearing is...a lot for you to handle. it’s no secret that Miu swears in every sentence she says. she tries to tone it down a bit when the two of you start going out. no promises though
- Miu kind of likes to mess with you since your knowledge of dirty jokes is so low. she’ll constantly flirt with you sexually and it can even disgust your classmates. you just awkwardly tilt your head in confusion as dirty jokes just keep flying out of her mouth
- you get used to it, she gets used to it. usually Kaito or a flustered Shuichi has to translate Mius words for you
- when you asked Miu for the sex talk Kirumi was about to take you and hide you away from her. but you told Kirumi that you only wanted to hear it from Miu since her sex knowledge is so high
- she tells you everything you need to know, how to pleasure someone, kinks, fetishes, g-spots. it overwhelmed you but you sort of got the hang of it
- when you asked Miu to show you, she immediately starts to take off her clothes
- she kept your innocents in mind and tried to be as vanilla as possible
- but then you grabbed the 8 inch strap on and asked Miu if you can use it on her. she beamed with pride
- “HA! i knew it. it’s always the innocent looking ones who are fucking freaky as shit!”
Tumblr media
this was kinda fun lol

Is it ok if I request some general hcs for yandere!Nagito, Mikan and Hajime (separately, ofc!)?
A/N: I knew mikan was sus, I knew it 😫
Warnings: yandere, unhealthy relationships, kidnapping, nagito is his own warning 😌, manipulation, drugging
Komaeda Nagito
He is genuinely delusional, that's it. However, he gets pelted by reality sometimes and he isn't too fond of it. Like, Nagito knows, realistically, that he shouldn't lock up his darling like their a caged animal, but it's all for their sake, so he rationalizes everything he does with some weird and flawed logic. Nagito is a special yandere just because he keeps himself in check so his darling won’t be unhappy. If they lose hope, he’d truly be devastated.
He’s so manipulative, without even realizing it sometimes, too. Nagito has often overshared something with his darling and it causes them to pity him so he has them feeling bad for him all of the time. This works in his favor a lot and while he doesn’t do it on purpose, he doesn’t stop once he does become conscious of it. His personality is enough to give someone whiplash, but Nagito is just plain weird at times. Might cry if it means his darling would pay attention to him.
I feel like his darling would get Stockholm Syndrome, not early on, but it happens eventually. Nagito doesn’t keep his darling locked up in his basement or anything, he doesn’t need to. Speaking in a non-despair AU, or in general before the game, Nagito is literally rich. He doesn’t have to do much to keep his darling with him. So while he does kidnap them technically, they’re pretty much just stuck in his home.
He’s also a worshipper. That parts important. Nagito needs to keep his darling happy, so their treatment is far from bad. They just aren’t allowed to leave him, it’s that simple. Nagito is basically just trying to keep them content most of the time so their relationship has potential to be normal, but his personality doesn’t really allow it.
Tumblr media
Tsumiki Mikan
GIRL IS DELUSIONAL! Well, I mean, kind of. Much like Komaeda, she’s a worshipper. She’s lucid, more than him, anyway, but feral is the best way to describe her if I’m being honest. Mikan doesn’t care what she has to do, she’ll give up everything and anything if it means she can be with her darling. Her darling doesn’t really have a choice in anything Mikan does, not because she doesn’t care, but because she believes that her darling agrees with her on everything.
Drugs her darling... a lot. Especially if they’re not exactly cooperating with her like she wants them to, Mikan doesn’t want to fight with her darling, so she just ends up sedating them whenever she feels like they’re about to start a fight. That being said, she does kidnap them, early on, too. Mikan doesn’t have to snap in order to lock her darling away, in fact, it probably happens way before she kidnaps her darling. She just wants them around.
Mikan snaps the moment she realizes that she’s in love with her darling. She acts the same outwardly, but there’s a sudden change in the way she speaks to her darling and they’d have to be extremely dense not to notice something was going on. Mikan refers to her darling as if they’re some kind of Deity. They’re not human to her, and because of this, Mikan can be an extremely dangerous yandere to have.
Any negative act against her darling affects Mikan personally. She doesn’t take these threats lightly, either. Basically, being mean or unjust towards her darling is seen as treason to Mikan. She’s very open to killing people if she thinks that it’s needed. This is such a big problem because she doesn’t kidnap her darling early on, so she can go a little feral. If anything pushes her to kidnap her darling, it’s them finding out about her little activities.
Tumblr media
Hinata Hajime
A mean yandere, actually. Like, Hajime is not a nice guy, he’s just really bitter about life. So, if his darling is an Ultimate, he’s not exactly happy about his situation. Of course, he still loves them with every single fiber of his being, but he also kind of wishes they’d disappear... and they do, technically. Hajime most definitely kidnaps his darling. This happens because Hajime feels like they’re trying to be with someone who isn’t him and that’s not something he can let happen.
Hajime is sane, but like... he’s still kind of unhinged. After getting over his initial bitterness, he’d be extremely devoted to his darling. He isn’t a worshipper, like Komaeda and Tsumiki, but more like a loyal husband. He explains it like this, if his darling were to ever ask: they deserve the world and he plans on giving it to them. Hajime thinks it’s pretty simple, but he isn’t delusional. He knows that he shouldn’t want to lock his darling away, he just doesn’t care.
That being said, though, Hajime fully expects his darling to be just as devoted to him. Hajime won’t tolerate his darling being fond of anyone else, it just doesn’t work that way with him. He’d never be willing to share, and he’d never be willing to watch his darling be with someone else in order for them to be happy. This is mainly due to his insecurities, as he’s always been told that he wasn’t special.
Hajime spends his time making sure that he’s special, specifically special to his darling. He’s no longer reaching for society to notice him, just his darling. Hajime genuinely does love them, but he’s bitter. He’s bitter, and he makes that extremely clear to his darling during their time together. He has his soft moments, of course, and he’s all too interested in their hobbies. Hajime is just... hopelessly desperate.

Determination
Pairing ~ nagito/reader
Genre + warning ~ angst, death, gore, blood, also. Spoiler for nagito free time, SPOILER FOR THE WHOLE GAME!! A little bit of hajime/reader and izuru/reader :>
Summary ~ Nagito couldn't help it, and you just snap by him saying that he a trash, and his luck with effected you, even though, it's been three years of relationship.
Note's ~ i need angst, I'm an angst based person, so yeah, and i don't think my angst is good anymore, also a little crack fic, and this is going to be a long one shot..
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"s/o...I already told you! You will never know when-"
"we've been in three years relationship, nagito! Your luck didn't affect me! You should stop worrying about this!" You bit bottom for your lips, glaring at him. Your eyes became watery, you wanted to cry.
"you'll never understand how I feel when they died in front of me! Losing someone that I love, that I care about. I don't want that to happen again!"
"nagito! We've been through that together! Are you forget about that?!"
He flinches and back away a little, he made a mistake. A big mistake.
"s-s/o— i-i—" "forget about this. I'm sick of this, we've been fighting for one and a half hours, and I'm done, you win, nagito komaeda." Nagito back away little by little again and collapse to the ground.
"you're using my full name..."
"i know"
"you...must be real mad at me."
"mhm"
Nagito eyes widened and he realizes that his tears are dropping, nagito quickly wipe them away and get up, not looking at you.
Everybody that hearing this fight between you and nagito seems....guilty and sad, even hiyoko and fuyuhiko. "Hey, what should we do?" Chiaki begins to whisper.
"we..should leave them alone, for now. And check both of them tomorrow." Hajime glances back at you two, "let's go." And then everybody leaves.
"they eavesdropping on us, didn't they." He sighs, "unfortunately, yes." Nagito still didn't look at you. You tighten your fist and clench your jaw.
"i. I'm sorry.." "you don't need to say sorry, komaeda." He flinches, nagito felt his heart slowly losing apart, "maybe the last hug would be great.." you said to him, looking at the ground with arms open, waiting for him to hug you.
He hugs you tightly, securing you in place, not letting you go. He got distracted by you saying that.
Tumblr media
In the next two days, things getting worse...
You and nagito ignoring each other, at breakfast, whenever you see each other while walking exploring the island, everything. Nagito only eat a bit and head out, Hajime we're concern so he asks him, and nagito said "oh, I'm not hungry, and you shouldn't worry about me."
His self-degrading becomes worse. Also, you rarely see Nagito outside.
The two days were hell for you both.
And then this happens on the third day.
"why are we gather around again?" You ask.
"well, the future foundation needed us to help them." Hajime explains "we will be fighting the remaining of monokuma's, and make the city better again." Hiyoko whines "ugghhh, that would be a lot of woorrkkkss!" "But, we have to help them, for what they do to us, for what they've done to return us to hope instead of despair." "Ugh, now you bring that! Fine!" Hiyoko murmurs something.
We wait until the boats arrived, and it this, not long enough. As we got into the boat, three people were waiting for us, it was Makoto naegi, kyoko kirigiri, and Byakuya togami.
"Welcome back, seniors!"
We all smiled at them, Makoto and Hajime shaking hands, "we ready to risk our lives." "Oh no, we don't hope you guys to die! I'm sure you guys will do great, we already prepare the gun, come!"
We follow Makoto to the inside of the boat. "W-Woah...." We were all amazed by so many weapons. Gun, ak-47, flamethrowers, grenades, dynamite, swords, and many more.
As everyone selects their weapon, this one weapon got my interest. A scythe. A red one, I pick it 'it's not heavy as it looks..nice.' "oh! (L/n), great choice!" I jumped a little, "oh, thanks, naegi." I awkwardly laugh.
As I observe the scythe, I feel two— I mean four pairs of eyes looking at me, I shrug the feelings away and continue to observe.
"you guys already pick yourself weapons right? Let's train a little so it's doesn't you!" Everyone agrees and follows Makoto, again.
We train a little, yes. A little. Mikan constantly trips. Ibuki almost shot Akane. Teruteru... I don't want to talk about it. Hiyoko accidentally burns her kimonos. Chaos. Also, Hajime spilled his orange juice.
We take a break from the train, give ourselves a drink, I decided to talk to Hajime, "yo Hajime, how was training?" "It was chaos..." "Meh, I said it was normal."
"so..." "How was a thing? Is Kamakura there? I'm curious." "It was great, about that..." Hajime looks around and grabs my hands "come." I got drag by Hajime.
"hey Hajime, what's wrong?" I catch up and walking beside him, as I look into his eyes, it was completely red. I stayed silent after seeing that, Hajime or Kamakura continue to drag me and pin me into the wall.
"what was that for!" His index fingers place into my lips "shhh...you don't want anyone to hear us, right?" Deep voice, that must be— "Kamakura?"
"yes." "Um, you don't have to drag me here so that you could talk to me.." he sighs "I don't want to face them, yet." I tilted my head a little bit, "it is because of the killing game? But it's already over—" "I know it's already over, but their trauma. I don't want them to remember that."
'Woah, Kamakura cares about the other?', "so." I hummed and look at him "how were you and komaeda? Still fighting?" I look away to the ground "we...broke up." Hajime/Kamakura let out an 'oh'.
"That was unfortunate. Ahem, we should head back now, let—" I don't know what I was thinking, I hugged him without any thoughts. "(L/n)?" "Ah! Sorry." I back away "yes, let's go."
As we head back and everyone was waiting "hey! Where were you two?" "Talking." We both answered at the same time "ahem, we almost there, prepare for the battle, I will explain to you where is the headquarters, also your position."
Byakuya explained to us everything, Mikan will be the healer, Sonia and hiyoko protect mikan, teruteru will throw the grenade and dynamite. "Unit one will be....."
"nidai, owari, (l/n), and tanaka, unit two will be: pekoyama, kuzuryuu, hinata, unit three will be: imposter, mioda, hanamura, komaeda, souda. This unit will be fighting"
Tumblr media
As we drop off from the boat, "senior!! We wish you luck!! Don't die okay!!" We wave at them and begin our battle.
We encountered the monobots, it wasn't a lot, we managed to fight them, no one is injured until we got into the middle of the town.
We've been a trap, a lot of monobots around us, back, front, left, and right. "Everyone! Prepare yourself! Sonia, hiyoko! Protect mikan! And everyone else pleases circle! And prepare for the sixth battle!" As I ordered them.
Everyone got into the place, and the battle begins.
Now.
The never-ending battle. Some of us got injured, nothing bad until...
"damn it! These monobots must be a lot in here, I think we have to find a hiding spot and heal." I couldn't focus at the time, I heard someone screaming my name when I look back, it was nagito, screaming my name, "(Y/N)! BEHIND YOU!" "Eh?"
Everyone's attention shifted to me, as I look back, a monobots charge a laser beam towards me.
It was too late for them to save me.
The laser hit my stomach. I heard everyone screaming, screaming my name, my eyes were widened, my mouth wanted to say something, but couldn't.
I felt someone lift me, as I look who it is, it was nagito, crying. "Please stay. (Y/n)! You have to live! Don't l-leave me!" He begging me to stay longer... Suddenly the monobots seem off...they don't attack us, they just stay in place, not moving.
"UWAHHW (Y-Y/N), DON'T DIE." Mikan begins to treat my wound, even tho it was a waste of time. I cough up blood."nagito, listen to me..." I lift my right hand, to touch his cheeks, but I don't have too much energy.
So he grabs my hands and places them into his cheeks, everyone watch this cried, in horror, blame themselves, "no matter what happens to me, no matter what we've been through together, don't blame yourself nagito..." More tears fallings.
"I don't have too much time in here...and everyone, nagito, please stay alive for the sake of our next generation of hope and future, love you guys..." I softly smiled. "Don't forget, from the bottom of my heart..." "I truly in love with the determination that sleeps inside you...and yes I stole nagito line! Hahaha...."
"Why are you smiling like this is nothing..." Hajime- no. Kamakura said it, he walked to me and crouch. "You're an idiot." "I am." I look at nagito one last time, wiping his tears away, "now...don't look so sad. I don't want that, please smile."
Everyone forced smile, I traced nagito lips and pull him closer. "Stay alive, okay my hope?" And kiss him, a final kiss. A goodbye kiss.
And I let out my last breath. With that, I sacrifice myself. This is our last battle, the beginning of the new generation has just begun.
Side note ~ hm......did you cried? No? Alright.

Komahina Week Day 5
Prompt: Healing
Rating: T
A continuation of yesterday’s Talentswap AU (here)
AO3 Link
@komahinaisle
-----
When Hajime woke from the simulation, the first thing he saw was Nagito Komaeda’s face. One eye the grey-green he’d come to admire, the other the red of Kamukura.
Kamukura… that was right. Izuru Kamukura, the Ultimate Hope. Who had every talent.
And then the memories hit him. Everything that had happened the last few years, the Tragedy, Despair, Servant…
“Uh…” Hajime said, unsure how to address Nagito. Or was it Kamukura? Going by his eyes, it was likely both. “Komaeda-kun?” Nagito nodded, holding out his hand to help Hajime sit up.
“I suppose you have questions,” Nagito said, his eyes darting to the stump of Hajime’s left arm. Oh, that was right. He shuddered slightly at the thought of what he had done. He really had lost his mind while in Despair, hadn’t he?
“Souda and I have created a new hand for you,” Nagito said, “I… didn’t think you’d want her anymore. I know how you feel about Despair and Hope.”
“Thank you,” Hajime said quietly, looking around at the pods around him. They were all empty. He was the only one left, it seemed. “Um. So you are Komaeda, right? Or are you both? What about the rest?”
“There’s no trace of Despair in any of us,” Nagito said, knowing that was the most important matter to Hajime. It had been the most important matter to him. Hajime nodded, still studying Nagito’s face carefully.
Nothing more was able to be said before Mikan came in to the room with a wheelchair.
“Ah, what’s this?” Hajime asked.
“The others found they had difficulties getting used to their bodies based on their deaths in the simulation. Considering everything your body believes you faced, I doubt you’ll be able to walk for a while. I asked Tsumiki to be prepared for when you woke,” Nagito said, slipping into the Kamukura skin. It was easier to say it that way, clinical, detached, than think about Hajime’s impaled body, the cuts on his arm, the…
He abruptly turned away and looked at the monitor next to Hajime’s pod.
“Your signs are all great. We can detach you from the machine now, and we’ll move you into a room. You’ll need physical therapy to help heal, but Tsumiki and I will put a plan together with you. For now, a comfortable bed and some food and water would be more than welcome for you, I’m sure.” Nagito finished speaking and turned back to Hajime, forcing a small smile on his face. Hajime nodded.
“That – that sounds really good,” Hajime said.
Nagito helped Hajime into the wheelchair, who found that he really could not move his legs, just as Nagito had suspected. He winced in pain as he was moved, but soon enough, he was in a small hospital room, not far from where the Neo World Program had been.
Once Hajime had been set up in the bed, Mikan came in with some soup that Teruteru had prepared.
“Your body hasn’t eaten in a while. The Neo World Program was good at keeping you alive with what you needed, but your stomach won’t be used to food, so take it easy, okay?” Nagito said. Hajime nodded, hesitating before slowly sipping at his soup.
It would take some time, but Nagito had no doubt that Hajime would be up and about with time.
*
Hajime stared at the silver hand attached to his left arms, turning it around to admire it from all angles. Kazuichi and Nagito had done a brilliant job, but what more could he expect from two such talented people?
He glanced over at Nagito, who was writing notes down on a clipboard.
“This is amazing!” Hajime exclaimed, stretching the fingers out before clenching into a fist, “It’s just like a real hand!”
“I’m glad it’s up to your standard,” Nagito said, looking up from the clipboard. He couldn’t help but smile at the way Hajime seemed fascinated by it.
“More than that! This is amazing! I can’t believe you and Souda wasted your talents on me!” Hajime said. Nagito sighed.
“It’s not a waste to help a friend,” he said.
“Are we?” Hajime questioned, finally dropping his hand to his side. He suddenly couldn’t look at Nagito.
“Hinata?” Nagito questioned.
“Are we friends? After everything I did?” Hajime asked, his voice barely more than a whisper. Nagito placed the clipboard on the side table and sat down on the chair next to Hajime’s bed. After a moment of consideration, he took Hajime’s right hand in his.
“Yes. Remember when I asked the same thing? You told me that we were friends, and that I wasn’t nothing, even though I was just a talentless Reserve student. Well, now it’s my turn. You’re my friend, and you’re not nothing to me.” Nagito spoke softly. Hajime met Nagito’s eyes, his eyes rimmed red, a few tears sitting on his cheeks.
“Thank you,” Hajime choked out, “I – I needed to hear that.” Nagito nodded, squeezing Hajime’s hand softly before he stood up. Back to business, discussing recovery.
*
Nagito kept a hold of Hajime as they walked along, Hajime holding the bars to help support himself. It had been a month since Hajime had first woken up, and he had been responding well to the physical therapy. A lot of the pain Hajime had felt was gone, but it was taking a bit longer for him to be stable on his legs.
They reached the end of the walkway, and Hajime sat down, smiling up at Nagito.
“Thank you for all of your help. I don’t think I’d be doing so well if it wasn’t for you,” Hajime said.
“I’m sure you’d find a way,” Nagito said, “You’re very determined.” Hajime simply hummed in response. Nagito ignored the impulse to bend down and kiss him.
He knew that they were in the awkward position of not quite romantic, but moving there. He didn’t need Kamukura to tell him that Hajime was interested in him, and Nagito had long fallen for the brunette, sometime during the simulation.
They were teetering on the edge of something, and Nagito had no idea what the tipping point would be.
“I’m going again,” Hajime said, “And this time I want to do it myself.” Nagito bit down on his lip.
“Are you sure?” Nagito asked. Hajime nodded, reaching out towards the bars and standing himself up.
“I have hope,” he said, meeting Nagito’s eyes. Nagito nodded, helpless but to agree, especially with the argument of hope. He would walk alongside Hajime, anyway, just in case.
Hajime starting to walk along, both hands gripping on to the bars. He had a very determined glint in his eye, and every step was made with purpose. At one point, his legs wobbled a little, and Nagito threw his hands out, ready to catch Hajime, but he managed to rebalance himself and keep moving.
He reached the end, and locked eyes with Nagito with a grin.
“I did it!” Hajime exclaimed before launching himself at Nagito, wrapping his arms around Nagito’s neck and pressing their lips together. His legs started to buckle, but Nagito managed to grip Hajime tight and keep him up as the kiss deepened.
They stayed like that for a moment, holding each other as they kissed hungrily, before Nagito moved them over to the couch, breaking the kiss momentarily to help Hajime sit. Hajime immediately pulled Nagito in to kiss again as soon as Nagito sat next to him. Nagito wrapped his arms around Hajime once more, holding him close, while Hajime wound a hand into Nagito’s hair.
They made our for quite a while, Nagito finding himself lying on top of Hajime, running his hands along his shoulders and down the side of his arms.
When they finally broke apart, they were both panting.
Immediately realising they were still in the physical therapy room, Nagito sat up. Hajime slowly sat up, looking dazed.
“That – that was -” Hajime shook his head, seemingly at a loss for words.
“Not unexpected,” Nagito said, “But very welcome. Though, perhaps not in the middle of your physical therapy session.”
“I got, uh, lost in the moment,” Hajime said sheepishly, scratching the back of his neck. Nagito giggled.
“You could say that,” he said, before glancing around the room, “Well, I think you’ve made good progress, so we’ll call an early end to your session.”
“Oh,” Hajime said, disappointment colouring his tone.
“And then, we both have free time. Maybe I’ll drop by the room of the guy I like. He’s quite a good kisser,” Nagito said. Hajime blushed, and Nagito winked.
“Uh… yeah. Th-that sounds nice,” Hajime said.
“Come on, I’ll help you into your wheelchair,” Nagito said. He helped Hajime stand up, and they made their way over to the wheelchair and then to Hajime’s room, and the immediate plans of a lot of kissing.

could I req a matchup? any media is fine!Im a pretty eccentric guy, I love clowns, surprises and have a soft spot for 'so bad its good' horror. Im also really interested in the paranormal ,psychology, but I've been described as that one guy that puts waaay too much effort into a shit post. I'll admit though, I mostly act like that to make up for the fact that I grew up too fast, I lack trust in the world, so barely anyone really knows that side of me. ty!
ah, yes!! i have another kin matchup anon coming up, and i think it would be interesting to see you guys talk... but yeah, let’s get into it! i’ve been really indecisive about these lately, if you were wondering why it took a while!! i’m sorry!!
first off, from pokemon, i match you with...
Tumblr media
acerola!
to start off, acerola is definitely eccentric. at least, in the games she is ("Phew! Well, there goes my hope of beating you to smithereens and becoming Champion myself!")! she seems very energetic and a little teasing, though she mostly keeps it to herself- she’s never really hurtful, in my eyes. she’s charismatic the way i kind of see you being! just to get this out of the way, i think that she is a little more... cartoonish, and peppy, than you are- but just from the matchup, the two of you seem very similar!! we don’t know much about her stance on some of the things you listed in your interests,, but she definitely has an interest in the paranormal! after all, she adores ghost types and specialises in them! she loves surprises, and her entire trial is... kind of like a kidz bop version of a horror game! it’s not really good horror- you taking pictures with a cute little rotom camera... kinds of breaks the immersion- but i think it can still be a little unsettling, despite how warm and welcoming pokemon is as a whole! maybe you’d like that little segment, or maybe you do- i don’t know if you’ve played (ultra) sun/moon! i think acerola could also be into psychology to an extent, as she has a lot of people around her that she tries to sympathise with. in fact, while i don’t remember the scene in detail, acerola does say, "Now, Lillie, you're coming with me to do some shopping!" and... i mean, you could argue that this was rather perceptive of her, since lillie struggles with picking out things for herself. i could see you having moments like that, anon, picking up on things about others and maybe not even realising that you are!
acerola is definitely the type to get carried away on a shitpost- i don’t think that when either of you do it it’s annoying or anything, but it’s like... wow! it’s funny, and it’s got a cute little bow on top! ...something like that, you know? i think that acerola would describe herself similarly to how you do, and just- you kind of talk like an older version of her, if that makes sense? not much older, but just... a little more cautious with your wording than i think she’d be! i do think, however, that you both grew up too fast- um, i’m sorry for that by the way, anon! hope you’re doing well and taking care of yourself afjdsjf,, however, acerola is very protective of younger children (”Back at Aether House, I'm like everyone's big sister! They all really depend on me.") and whenever their safety comes into question, she gets very serious and concerned, which is a sharp contrast to her usual demeanor. the aether house, where she grew up, is an orphanage- all of this can contribute to her having to grow up fast, having to take care of others. relating to you though, anon, her seriousness at the threat of danger to her siblings is really the only glance we get at her ‘other’ side. i would say she also lacks trust in the world to an extent, and this is more of an assumption, but anon, i think you can find it hard to grow personally close with other people. acerola relies on herself to defend the younger children at the aether house, and i’m sure that she would doubt their safety if she left them behind- almost in a motherly sort of way. point is, she depends on herself, not the other people around her.
second off, from bang dream(bandori), i match you with...
Tumblr media
kaoru seta!
once again, kaoru is definitely eccentric. she’s the kind of theater kid that’s very confident, but not overconfident to where they’re just going around bothering people. maybe you’re not the exact same kind of eccentric as her, but the two of you definitely stand out in a crowd with your personalities. appearance wise, maybe not at first, but there’s a lot to see behind initial appearances with you!!! plus, you also seem... i don’t know, but you and her have a really similar vibe in terms of being prince-ly, but still a bit feminine. not to call you girly or anything, anon ^^;. we don’t really know her stances on a lot of your interests, but a hobby of hers is reading philosophy books- i think that could be attributed to psychology, in a way! also, in of herself, kaoru is sort of a surprise simply with her presence. she does feel human to me, the way you also do, but with both of you... there’s this sort of untouchable aura. like i couldn’t even begin to measure up to you... you know? while she isn’t exactly comfortable around the paranormal or spookier things, as seen in the cursed well event story, i’d imagine that she does at least engage with the content as part of theater- essentially summed up in this quote, ”I've played the part of a ghost, have I not? I not only think so, I know so! So please, enough of this ghost nonsense!”.  she can definitely see the art in horror, ghosts and the like! in terms of clowns, i mean, kokoro is one of her best friends, sooo...
i’d also say that kaoru would put... a lot of effort into her shitposts. not only for the sake of her prince persona, but also because... as she would say, a meme so comedic... is unbelievably fleeting. point is, she strives to lift others up, and this would show in her humor as well! to an extent, she kind of is a walking and talking shitpost. i don’t mean that in a derogatory way, but maybe you could relate to... not feeling like people take you seriously, because of how you present yourself! i definitely understand that- it’s hard to be honest about that kind of thing sometimes,, plus, i’d say that like you, kaoru also grew up in a world not made for her. while we don’t know much about her past, she used to have both self esteem and confidence issues, putting on the mask of a prince to make sure others wouldn’t have to experience those same issues. acerola and her both feel protective over the people they care about, and i kind of get a similar instinct from you. she’s very bothered about things that she didn’t say in the past, and maybe you relate to that- looking back, and loathing the things you didn’t say. kaoru does seem to lack trust in the world, to an extent, as whenever she’s by herself, the facade she puts on almost completely vanishes. maybe when you’re by yourself you find yourself more solemn, too.
and lastly, from danganronpa, i match you with...
Tumblr media
kokichi ouma!
...but i will say, you have REALLY BIG kaito momota vibes for some reason??? from these major matchups, i’ve concluded that you have purple hair in real life. ^^; that’s a joke, but kokichi came to my head right away when i read your matchup!! i bounced around a bit, but ultimately(haha) decided on him. you may need to hear me out, as... he’s a little different from the other two. kokichi’s entire gang has a clown aesthetic, and he loves surprising people, finding joy in taking them off guard- like, take one single look at the insect meet & greet. take a glance at his role in the chapter three investigation. i don’t really know where he stands on horror type things, but a lot of his actions, while dominantly pranks, can be genuinely offputting- um. see the two examples i listed a second ago. again, i don’t know his stance on the paranormal, but i do think he has an interest, or at least skill, in psychology. he’s a human lie detector, though it’s not a flawless ‘system’. kokichi is definitely eccentric, his beliefs more often than not differ from his classmates’, and many remark that it’s hard to get a grip on what he’s thinking. once again, maybe you can relate to that- especially since you’ve said that you act differently thanks to your growing up, it might be hard to really lock down a perception of you. maybe you feel safer like that- i’m not sure.
look at me in the eyes right now and tell me that kokichi doesn’t make dank memes and post them to reddit for a living. he is the spawner of surreal memes. kokichi, with all of his pranks, is easily one of the most playful and jokey characters in danganronpa. some of them can be dismissed as cheerful lies, but also... like. kokichi is the major spawn of several danganronpa memes... but that’s kaede’s lie, isn’t it? while a lot of kokichi’s past is obscured, it’s implied that he, like acerola, is an orphan. that... would definitely cause you to grow up fast- and it’s not every day that someone decides to form a clowncore gang. plus, kokichi’s distrust in the world and constant lying are most likely for his own defense. he does have a mix of compulsive and pathological lying in him, the former tending to come from when lying is necessary in your home environment. i’m not saying that you’re like that specifically, but his complete lack of belief in anyone makes it clear that yes, he has little to no trust on the world. it’s only in chapter five that kaito briefly sees past kokichi’s facade- but even then, i’m sure kaito couldn’t really understand kokichi beyond just... a feeling. a wordless sympathy. little to no one knows kokichi, since... it’s like shuichi says. he’s the embodiment of a lie. (a statement i don’t fully agree with, but it gets the point across.)
-
minor matchups time babey! from danganronpa, you also remind me very strongly of kaito momota, and somewhat of jataro kemuri, ryoma hoshi, and nagito komaeda. from 1bitheart, you remind me strongly of the yakumo twins and hiyu mekami. from pokemon, you also remind me of shauntal, phoebe, iris, and will! from my hero academia, you remind me of denki kaminara. from my little pony, you remind me of cheese sandwich and discord. from corpse party, ayumi shinozaki and seiko shinohara. from danganronpa another, satsuki iranami. from fullmetal alchemist, you remind me a bit of edward elric. from little witch academia, you remind me of sucy manbavaran. from haikyuu, you strongly remind me of satori tendo, and somewhat of bokuto kotaro! from pokemon reborn, you also strongly remind me of cain! lastly, from your turn to die, you remind me of the yabusame siblings!
...sorry that those were a little stoic! i was trying to keep them short, since there were so many ^^;. hope this was okay, anon, i admittedly wasn’t great at locking down matches for you... if you need anything changed, just let me know!

Note
if ur ships in danganronpa could translate into quadrants from homestuck, what would they be? for example, naegiri be moirails, sakura and aoi fluctuate between pale and red, etc. doesn't have to be clear cut, cuz quadrants get messy lol. mostly curious about what ishimondo would be like, i'd imagine there'd be a lot of switching quadrants between them lmao.
ANON UR SPEAKIN MY LANGUAGE
in fact i had to put this under a cut bc it got SUPER long sdfsd
I think Makoto would be like Kanaya. He’s The Auspistice(TM), whether he wants to be or not. Everyone just assigns him to being in the middle of everything. Eventually he’s able to convince Mondo and Taka to find someone else to ♣️ their relationship, so that winds up falling on Chihiro.
For the record, hard agree on Makoto ♦️ Kyouko. I do ship them romantically, but my hc for Kyouko is that she’s aro. I think Bykauya would be kinda Eridan in that trying-really-hard-to-be-someone’s-kismesis front. Like he’d try to be Kyouko’s even though she tries to indicate she’s not interested, then he’d be really spades for Makoto after awhile - although I don’t think that Makoto would really feel that way back. If I were going to go so far as to complete a Homestuck AU, I’d think he’d be one of the human kids, actually. So he’d be extra weirded out by the trolls dragging him into their romance stuff. I think Byakuya would also try and make himself have black feelings for Junko and failing that just try antagonizing everyone else in the class to find something that sticks.
(I really like the idea of him trying to do that to Mondo and Mondo being weirdly offended bc he’s already dedicated himself to a kismesis.)
Kind of obviously, Toko would have an unrequited Flushed Crush on Byakuya (but since I don’t really ship that I wouldn’t keep that a thing, I’d probably have Toko move onto Makoto’s sister but I haven’t played UDG yet so I’m not sure where I’d go with that?) and Mukuro would have one on Makoto. The latter would feel forced into being her sister’s Moirail...I like Mukuro more than to ever write her staying like that, lol. I kind of like Makoto/Mukuro/Kyouko as a ship, so maybe Mukuro and Kyouko being pale or red? I’d probably have Kyouko’s actual kismesis be Celes. And I don’t think there’s anyone in in the class I could see Celes having as a matesprit, although she’d probably string along Hifumi so she can use him. She’d probably decide Makoto is her moirail because I could just see Makoto being everyone’s fill-in option for whatever quadrant they have missing.
Sakura and Hina would absolutely fluctuate between pale and flushed, and people probably would think it’s weird that they don’t look to fill either quadrant elsewhere. I think they’d be like the Rose/Kanaya of the group.
Soooooo I think Chihiro would be Mondo’s moirail, their friendship does kinda have a Nepeta ♦️ Equius feel to it (and I do ship Chihiro ♥️ Makoto so that works out too). I also kind of ship Taka and Makoto, so I’d probably have it be like, Taka is like the second closest Makoto would have to a moirail after Kyouko and he doesn’t mind that Taka has the pale feelings for him because he doesn’t really force it on Makoto.
I don’t have any Homestuck reactions saved anymore so I can’t remember who had this reaction? My gut instinct says Karkat, BUT I seem to remember someone having a reaction image where they just had the quadrants symbols were just rapidly looping because they couldn’t figure out what they were feeling and I think THAT is Taka & Mondo’s relationship.
I actually think it’s kind of funnier if it starts out with them like insisting that they don’t even have caliginous feelings for each other, they just flat hate each other, and everyone is just like “.......okay,” about it. But like once they admit that’s an actual relationship they have they don’t really act like that’s the quadrant their relationship is in because Taka’s weirdly happy about it. They actually schedule time to antagonize each other and whenever someone points out that’s kind of counter-intuitive, Mondo should just go bother him NOW, that’s what’s most inconvenient, he’s always like “what the fuck no? that would be rude. i’m not gonna do that we have a relationship here.” So everyone even in the vicinity of this bullfuckery is confused.
Eventually they wind up having a heart-to-heart because Taka’s clearly not feeling being annoyed/being annoying and that bothers Mondo and he’s not sure whether that’s something he can/should bring up or not, and when they actually talk it out Mondo’s like “oh SHIT what quadrant is this” and has to like. Break moirails w Chihiro for a bit because he doesn’t think he’s supposed to have two and he isn’t sure what quadrant this qualifies as and he’s sitting there with the rapidly vascillating quadrants in his head all day every day.
I think Mondo’s like Karkat in a way (ig in part bc i hc him as a Blood player) so i think he’d have that whole “you want her in every quadrant like a desperate fool” conversation with himself that Karkat has w/himself about Terezi, probably right around the time Taka realizes that he doesn’t find Mondo as irritating as he used to and he’s probably looking at one of the lighter quadrants, if not both of them. So Chihiro has to auspistice or something like it again, not because they run the risk of killing each other but because they are both just so very stupid with emotions that they can’t really have a proper conversation about what’s going on.
I think after that though they’d probably have a relatively stable grasp on their relationship being flushed and drifting into more pink or black areas occasionally.
SORRY that got long! Also I don’t have a ton of ships for sdr2, but I’m kinda thinking  Sonia Gundham Akane, Gundham Fuyuhiko Imposter, and my default for Hiyoko is /
Also that kinda makes me wonder how Mechamaru would work out, you know, since there is a canon mech version of a character in Homestuck. Would that mean Souda programs Mechamaru to be ♥️ for him?
The only other real opinion I have is Juzo

Some Danganronpa babes confessing to their long-time crushes
Holy shit, I've been very inactive! I'm super-duper sorry! I've been very, very busy, and now that summer is finally here I'll be more active, yay! So, as an apology, I'm going to post my second scenario, and I hope that at least one person actually reads through it! Hopefully, the Danganronpa community isn't dead yet!
Makoto Naegi-
♣Although he had planned for this for weeks, he was still anxiety-filled.
♣This could go two ways, assuming his luck didn't play into it as well. A simple yes or no, it wouldn't hurt him too much, right?
♣Wrong. He wasn't sure what he'd do if you said no, nor if you said yes.
♣He wanted to do it the classic way- confessing to you after school behind a cherry-tree. It had worked for all of those anime characters, why not him?
♣He was observing the tree when you arrived, so his back was to you. He turned around-
♣He tripped, abort mission
♣After a bit of laughing, you helped him back up, and asked him why he wanted to talk, although you thought you knew already.
♣After a bit of stuttering, he managed to get it out.
♣”Y/N, you've been one of my best friends for a long time. No matter what my luck manages to do, you're always there with me to help me up, quite literally! I've liked you for such a long time, and I was wondering if you'd like to go out?” He said, in a very fast pace. You could barely understand him.
♣Whether or not you said yes was up to you, but he hoped that his luck would finally work it's magic.
Byakuya Togami-
♕Honestly, he wasn't too concerned. He figured that his money could help buy you over, since his wealth was clearly one of his best attributes.
♕But, he was too aloof to just ask you in person. And, since he clearly couldn't write his feelings for himself, he asked for help.
♕Specifically, he asked Naegi for help, which in retrospect wasn't the best choice for him.
♕After successfully obtaining the note from Naegi, he sealed it up and signed his name on it.
♕The next day at school, just before class started, he slipped it into your locker, which was convieniently close to his.
♕During class, he was a bit quieter than usual, not bothering to shoo Touko, as his mind was completely focused on you, and how you'd respond.
♕Of course, he hoped you would accept, but he did also realize that he could easily replace you if you said no, though it would pain him a bit.
♕After class was over, you went to your locker to grab your books. A letter fell out.
♕You opened it, and read it through.
♕It read- ‘Dear Y/N. My heart has found its way to you with all my love. I want you and no one else because you mean everything to me. I think we should try and make this work. I hope you know you're the one and only one that I want. You're the perfect friend, and I hope we can and will grow to be more. I could never ask for better than what we already have. I hope you're feeling the same way because my heart is set on you and only you.’
♕You already knew it wasn't in his own words, but you were touched nonetheless. It took you awhile to think about it, but you soon had your answer.
Kyouko Kirigiri-
♢You two had been close for a while, and you had managed to be one of the few lucky people to get to know her.
♢She adored everything about you for quite a while, though it never showed. ♢Since she had recently found out that you both enjoyed the same book series, she figured she could confess through that. ♢You were on the second book, almost done and ready to go onto the third. ♢She had checked it out before you, though, and paid the librarian for the damages she would cause, although small.
♢She flipped through the pages until she found the last one, in which the main character confessed to the love-interest. She underlined the words the character had said, and opened to an empty page which was right after the end. She grabbed a purple ballpoint pen. ♢’Y/N, I’d greatly enjoy it if the two of us could be as close as protagonists in this book. I'm hoping you already know who I am, so you can come and speak with me.’ ♢She closed the book and went back to return it. ♢A few days later, you went to go check out that exact book, and in a week you managed to finish it.
♢However, what caught your attention was the bold underline on the confession. You flipped to the last page and read the note, which was addressed to you, surprisingly.
♢Knowing fully well who it was, you decided to go confront it about her, your answer completely clear to you now.
Hajime Hinata-
☞He was a bit afraid to tell you how he felt. What if you didn't like him back because he was too plain? What if he messed up? ☞So, he asked Chiaki to help him, and she delivered, like any good friend would. ☞After a while of her rambling about a hard dating sim she had heard about, she tried giving him advice. ☞”Well, in dating sims they usually ask them out on a date to their favorite place. Do you know Y/N’s favorite place?”
☞”Their house?” He asked. As if that was a good place to go on a first date. ☞”No, like a restaurant or something.” Chiaki sighed, already getting too tired to deal with this love-retarded boy. ☞”I mean, they like to go to that one park with all the cherry blossom trees..” He thought. ☞After talking to Chiaki for a while, he agreed on asking you out to said park. ☞So, after school one day, he pulled you aside. You looked confused. Your best friend, Mahiru, was waiting for you, since you always walked home together. ☞”Hey, Y/N, I like you a lot, and I was wondering if you'd like to go to the park with me tomorrow?” He silently prayed you said yes. ☞Though it was short, your heart warmed a bit after hearing the confession. You had to give him your decision quick, or Mahiru would get angry, so you thought for a second and spoke.
Nagito Komaeda-
♧He knew you'd say no, it's just that some kids from his class had been pressuring him into telling you. ♧He liked you a lot, and hoped you could be more, but he knew it wouldn't happen because who would love trash like him? ♧Nekomaru had given him a pep talk before he went to tell you, hilariously enough. It mainly consisted of him making Komaeda yell his (and your) name. It embarrassed him even further, his face already tinted red. ♧So, after class one day, he tapped your shoulder in an attempt to get your attention. ♧However, his luck had decided to strike, and once you turned around someone pushed you into his chest, officially making the both of you red faced.
♧He pulled back quickly, and apologized profusely. ♧”Bro, it's okay, it wasn't your fault anyways.” You giggled.
♧”Anyways, there's something I'd like to tell you.” he began, nervously fiddling with his thumbs.
♧”Y/N, I've found myself liking you with a passion that friends shouldn’t have. I know you'll say no, since it's impossible for someone to like trash, but I'd like to ask if you want to go out?” ♧You didn't hesitate to respond, since you've already been thinking about how you'd respond to something like this, and because your second class was about to start. Hopefully you don't put this boy into despair.
Chiaki Nanami-
(Some clarification in this- You're the ultimate game designer in Chiaki’s scenarios) 🎮Sure, Chiaki was good at video games. But there's one genre that's hard for her.
🎮Dating sims. And, because of this, she wasn't too sure about how well she’d be able to confess.
🎮Taking it upon herself to study a bit more, she downloaded a dating sim labeled as ‘Mildly easy’.
🎮After a day or two of attempting to beat it, she stumbled upon a character that eerily resembled you. It's name was (Your name but with some letters swapped). She decided that she had to go that route, since she figured it would help her confess.
🎮It took her about fourteen hours to finish, but the confession at the end made it all worthwhile..
🎮It read, ‘(Your name but with some letters swapped), Ever since I met you I've been endeared to you. From your looks to your personality, I like it all. You're all that I want, and I hope you feel that way too?’ 🎮And, from the way the character responded, Chiaki supposed that the exact same confession should work for you.
🎮So, Chiaki decided to tell you immediately at school tomorrow.
🎮You were walking through the halls until Chiaki walked up to you, looking determined as ever. 🎮She recited the confession, using your name instead of the character’s, and your response was a short, simple giggle. 🎮”Nanami, did you find my dating sim? I knew you'd play it someday!” You smiled, although the girl in front of you was very, very confused. 🎮After having a short laugh, you gave Chiaki your answer, either letting her down immensely or making her day even better.
Shuichi Saihara-
🔎He may or may not have cried while thinking about how you'd respond.
🔎He was obviously too shy to tell you in person, even after Kaede’s inspiring pep-talk. 🔎So, he wrote a letter that conveyed all of his emotions, though it might be a bit long.
🔎It read, ‘Dear Y/N. Every word you confide in me, every wonderful and terrible moment you share with me, melts me inside.
You let yourself be vulnerable with me and trust me beyond my comprehension. I never imagined I would truly find another who I would want to spend so much time with, who could truly touch my life the way you have, even without trying. I look forward to many more special moments together. When I see you, I see my future. This is not just talk. It truly comes from the heart. I am consumed by the desire to be with you, to talk to you and to feel you near me. I want to hold you, talk to you, laugh with you, cry with you. I want to play, walk, dance and just be one with you. I think you could become my everything. I know I want to be everything to you. I love you, Y/N L/N.’ And he signed it at the bottom. 🔎But, last second, he chickened out, leading to Kokichi stealing the letter, reading it and laughing. And Shuichi’s ego deflated even more, if possible. 🔎Kokichi ran up to your locker and put it in for the other boy. 🔎Y’see, Kokichi was a hardcore shipper of you two, and wanted to help- 🔎And so, after class you opened your locker and read it. It made your heartbeat pick up its pace, and your face turn red. 🔎You confronted Shuichi immediately. 🔎If you say yes, he’ll probably cry. If you say no, he’ll probably cry AND become depressed. Good luck. Kokichi Ouma- ♖He isn’t nervous at all. He was SURE you'd like him back. ♖But that's a lie, of course. He was scared. There's a small chance of you liking an asshole like him, so he only had a small amount of certainty. ♖He's not necessarily shy, so he decided to do it in person, since that's the most head-on way to do it. ♖So, like most of the others, he chose to tell you after class. ♖You were walking out of class when you were caught off-guard by him jumping on you. ♖And you fell over, as a result, and you ended up in a weird position in which he was straddling you, and his hands were on your stomach. ♖At this point, there's absolutely NO going back. So, in a state of rushed panic, he suddenly yells out- ♖”Y/N, I LIKE YOU A LOT” ♖And now you're both blushing a deep red. ♖Before you could answer, he gets up and runs away, which surprised you immensely. ♖Now you need to go find a flustered boy and tell him if you like him or not. Good luck with that, and don't die. Kaede Akamatsu- ♬She was DETERMINED. ♬Nothing could stop her now. She was literally on her way to your house right now to go and confess to you. ♬At 2 AM. ♬On a Sunday. ♬But she didn't even care. True love was worth it, right? ♬So, when she burst through your window, effectively breaking the glass and ripping the curtains, you were surprised, to say the least. ♬”Kaede what the FUCK are you doing in my house at 2 AM?” ♬”Y/N I’M HERE TO PROCLAIM MY LOVE FOR YOU” ♬On comes a long, and passion-filled confession. It was so early that you weren't thinking when you responded. You either made a decision that would literally keep you bound to her for life, or make her day horrible and make her gross sob to Shuichi. It all depends on how your dreary form at 2 AM responded.

Can i have an imagine where Himiko is trying a new spell on Kokichi, Rantaro, Maki, Miu and Nagito and it send them to the future where they are married with they crush (aka they s/o) and have children with them.
Himiko Yumeno Trying a New Spell on Ouma Kokichi, Rantaro Amami, Maki Harukawa, Miu Iruma and Nagito Komaeda That Shows Them Their Future Where They Are Married & Have Children!
Ouma Kokichi
Ouma overheard Himiko talking about her new spell, and howshe needed test subjects. He was intrigued since this meant he could terrorizeher even more than usual.
The small man approached her with pride and confidence, first listening in toher conversation. “It’s a spell that can show you a vision from your future!” Sheseemed to be more than sure of her capabilities. Angie and Tenko clapped withadmiration, arguing over who would get to go first.
Ouma shoved his way into the mix with a smirk on his face. “I don’t know whyyou’re arguing. It’s not going to work!~” He squinted at Himiko with a wide, toothy grin.
The girl grits her teeth and scowled at him. “You’re wrong! It’s going to work!”The short redhead stomped her foot in frustration, in retaliation to Ouma’srelentless teasing. He twisted his dark locks, acting as if he wasn’t payingattention to her. “You’ll have to prove it,” he taunts in a sing-song voice.
Completely disregarding the other girls, Himiko turns all of her attention toOuma and drags him by the scarf towards a reclined chair, commanding him to sitand wait. He does as he’s told for once, crossing his legs and twiddling histhumbs.
“Even if it does work, all I’ll see is the same thing as now – only I’ll be moresuccessful. I’m only here because I want to know how my organization hasimproved over the years.”
He watched her carefully, seemingly unimpressed. Continuing to taunt her as sheprepared her spell, her fuse was getting shorter and shorter before she finallysnapped at the man.
“Fine!” Using a long wand, she waves it over his head and casts the new spell.
At first, nothing changed. Ouma closed his eyes and waited patiently, butnothing felt different. “Oh, Himiko~, I don’t think it worked… I hate to say Itold you so-”
His eyes fluttered open and he was met with a beautiful sight: two smallchildren running around that looked just like him.
“Eh?” Ouma frowned and looked around, confused. “Dad!” They cheered as theybolted towards him. As he jumped back, his significant other walked out of anearby room, holding a third baby in their arms, and warmly beamed at him.
“Welcome home, honey!”
He shook his head and looked down at his hands and body, making sure that thiswas actually him. Ouma pats himself down and examines the children frantically, and that’s when he notices the wedding ring on his left hand. “W-what… whathappened to DICE?”
That’s when he realizes that his partner is the person he’s had a crush on for years… (Y/N). That’s the thing that really shakes him up.
(Y/N) squints and shakes their head, “What do you mean…?” Before he canquestion them any further, a light-bulb goes off in their head, “Oh! Isn’t that the name ofthat silly little organization you mentioned when we first met? Didn’t you run it? Hm… I’m not sure, this is the first time you’ve mentioned it in years.”
His body quakes – he doesn’t want to believe it. “What?! DICE is gone?!”
Before he can continue, he is snapped back to reality with Himiko bending overhim just a few inches away from his face. Ouma lets out a yelp, not expectingher to be so close, and a hand clutches his chest. He was genuinely startledand confused, demanding answers.
“What was that? That wasn’t a future-spell… y-you just gave me a-a fake vision!”His voice is rising, yelling at the top of his lungs angrily. His brows arefurrowed and his eyes are as passionate as fire.
The magician giggled at him, and then directs him to her spell-book, pointingout the spell she just used – which was definitely a spell to see into thefuture.
“No! I won’t believe it!” He yells defensively.
“I guess you saw something you didn’t want to…” She grins, finally feeling as though she had an upper-hand.
Rantaro Amami
Rantaro was very skeptical, and though he may not completelybelieve in magic, he does like to humor her every now and again.
Plus, he was always interested in knowing what the future had in store for him –but he was always afraid of hearing something unpleasant so he avoided psychicsand anything of that nature.
Somehow, Himiko convinced him to let her try out a new spell on him. She promised thatit would show him his future, and Rantaro only agreed because he didn’t reallybelieve it. He just wanted to make her happy and knew he’d never hear the end of it if he refused.
His plan was to pretend like it worked even if it didn’t just so she would feelsuccessful.
He followed Himiko closely, doing as he was told and settling into a chair. Sheskimmed over the pages of her spell-book, double-checking to make sureeverything was perfect. “Are you ready?”
Drawing in his brows, he stares at the small girl. “Are you sure this is goingto work?” Rantaro asks with a slight quirky grin on his lips.
This seemed to upset Himiko because she frowned and held up the spell-book forhim to read. “Of course it will!”
Sighing, he needed to see it to believe it; but he got himself into this messso he can’t really complain.
Closing his eyes, he listened to Himiko chantsomething in a different language and cast her spell. Things went silent for amoment and he kept his eyes squeezed shut tightly.
“Himiko… are you sure this works?” He asks slowly. A voice that Rantaro hasnever heard before responds, “Who is Himiko?”
His green eyes shoot open immediately and he’s met with the face of his long-time crush, (Y/N). Gasping, he almost blurts out, ‘(Y/N)! What are you doing here?’ but he’s able to put the pieces together holds his tongue. He… married them, and they have a child together?!
Then, he notices the child curled up in his lap – a little girl, fast asleep. Her hair had a faint tinge of green in it and her soft breathing made him feelcomforted, for some reason. One of his hands was cupping the back of her head and that’swhen he took note of the wedding ring glistening on his finger.
Rantaro feels like he’s going crazy – terrified that this may have actuallyworked. But… his future didn’t seem so bad, so he releases the tension in hisbody and relaxes momentarily.
(Y/N), who he assumed was his husband/wife, rephrases their sentence, “Himiko, like… that magician girl you knew from Hope’s Peak?”
Awkwardly laughing and unsure of how to respond, Rantaro shyly whispers, “Justa… weird dream,” and sighs. They tilt their head and shrug, then stand and liftthe little girl out of his lap.
“I’ll take her for a bit, you seem tired.” Leaning in and placing a kiss on hisforehead, (Y/N) skips out of the room with the small child still sound asleep over their shoulder.
He’s trying to make sense of the situation and his body feels heavy but… he’shappy. He’s married to the person he’s been hopelessly in love with and has a daughter, life seemed good, and Rantaro was atpeace with that fact.
He holds his head back and closes his eyes once more; when they open the secondtime, he is met with Himiko standing over him with a sparkle of hope in hereyes. “Did it work?!”
Rantaro looks down at his hand, disappointed to see no wedding ring there. “W-wait…no, take me back! I want to go back. Can you do it again, please?”
A large smile spreads across her face and she jumps up and down with glee, cheering that “It worked! It worked!”
But Rantaro still wants to go back, longing to see his future-family a second time and wishing he got to spend more time with them.
Maki Harukawa
Himiko sought out her fellow classmates to try her brand newspell individually, and she was particularly interested in seeking out Maki’s help - the girl never talked about her hopes or dreams and she wanted to know what her future was like.
The colder girl was convinced that the future had nothing special in store forher and wasn’t sure she wanted to find out – nothing could really change hermind or make her think otherwise, but Himiko was determined to change that.
However, Maki wasn’t very interested or impressed and brushed the pesky magician off.
“I’m not interested in seeing my future.” Maki states bluntly; she was quiteskeptical and didn’t really believe in Himiko’s magic – she was a ‘see it tobelieve it’ type but unwilling to actually try.
With a lot of begging, she finally gave in but made passing comments like, “Whatever,it isn’t going to work.” This greatly upset the magician and made her feelsomewhat discouraged.
She only complied to get her to stop bothering her.
Maki slips into the chair she was told to sit in and made herself comfortable, waiting irritably yet patiently for the redhead to come back. All she wanted todo was get it over with and carry on with her day.
Himiko returns with her spell-book in her arms and waves the wand over Maki’shead; instinctively, she closes her eyes and waits for any sign that somethinghas changed.
Instead, Maki is met with… nothing. Sighing and giving up, she opens her eyesand expects to see the same surroundings and boldfaced magician standing infront of her but instead sees quite the opposite.
There were two children sitting on the floor, surrounded by toys and trying toplay together – they were in a little pen with soothing light music playing inthe background.
Maki’s eyes widen and she stands almost immediately, very defensively leaping to her feet andstares at the children with an intense glare. They were still young; they turn to her whilstextending their arms and chanting, “Mommy!”
“Tch-!” She gasps and her knees shake, “I’m not your mommy! I don’t even likekids!”
Never would she have ever imagined that she would ever have kids, and she was beginning to regret ever allowing Himiko to show her the future, especially one she wasn’t ready for.
A familiar voice calls out to her, one she doesn’t seem to recognize, and then enters the room. “What did you say, dear?”
Maki wanted to call out, ‘Whothe Hell are you?’ but then remembered that if the vision into the future did in fact work then… Oh, God. She finally recognized her partner standing before them… (Y/N)? She gets married to (Y/N)?
Her eyes bolt down to examine her hand which has a wedding ring wrapped around one finger, in which she starts trying to rip off. Visibly shaking, the room feels like it was spinning.
But… she didn’t want to get married, or have kids; unless she has somelife-changing turn of events and changes her mind, she feels out of place anduncomfortable.
All she wanted to do was run away and escape this nightmare! The stranger approaches her cautiously. “What’s got you so worked up?” As they try planting a kiss on her cheek, Maki dodges it which caused the pair of children to start crying.
She really hated the sounds of kids crying, her reflexes kicking in as she covered her ears and grits her teeth.
Maki was racking her brain, trying to find out how this happened or what possibly changed her mind?
Himiko snaps her back to reality, and when she returns her face is completelypale and her eyes are huge. Maki sits up and is focused on staring forward blankly, un-moving.
“You started shaking while under the spell and I got worried… did it work?” Himiko says with concern flooding her voice, and worried that something backfired. She gently shakes Maki’s shoulder, but the girl is still shaken up and emits no response.
“What happened to you?” The magician asks, but all Maki can do is stand andleave the room silently, like a zombie.
Miu Iruma
Honestly, Miu never believed in that magic crap that Himikowas always droning on and on about. She always told her that she’d have toprove that magic was real for her to believe it, and if she ever got the opportunityshe wanted to experience it for herself.
Well, today seems to be her lucky day. The redhead approached her with a hopefulexpression, begging her to be a test subject for a new spell she learned.
Miu squinted, worried about the potential side-effects first, but the magicianeased her mind and took her hand, dragging her along forcefully. “C’mon, Miu,don’t you want to see your future?”
The Inventor became a flustered, stuttering mess. She wasn’t sure how to say noand the thought worried her, but before she knew it she was being guided into achair and Himiko disappeared to fetch her spell-book.
What’s the worst that could happen? She would finally get to know if magic wasa real thing or not!
The magician came back and promptly cast her spell.
Miu squeezed her eyes shut, digging her nails into the chair and waiting anxiously for the vision to hit her, and yet nothing happened.
She was starting to get the feeling that this was all going to be a waste of time. She cautiously reopens one eyefirst, and then the other; her eyes slowly adjusting to her new surroundings.
Looking down slowly, there was a baby attached to her chest… and not just lyingthere calmly, but breastfeeding.
Miu’s eyes widen as she realizes that the spell actually worked! She gasps andthen becomes frantic which causes the baby to start crying.
The crying signals her partner to re-enter the room. “Is everything okay, sweetie?”
She glances at their hand and notices the wedding band on their finger, and then her eyes dart towards her own - there was no doubting it, this was her future and her family.
Miu stares at them, scanning their face and trying to figure out if they’veever met; it takes her a moment to recognize them, and her jaw drops when she finally does - it was (Y/N), her childhood crush.
And she can’t even speak because she’s completely floored and taken aback: before, she was convinced that all the things Himiko spewed on about were made up and was unsure if she could believe her or not, and yet here she was.
Cradling the baby, the reality settles in - this is her baby, the human that she made.
A bright smile spreads across her face and Miu has to fend off tears because she’s just so happy that she’s a mother, which is the one thing she was greatly looking forward to in her future. And she’s so happy that she’s going to spend her future with (Y/N).
“What’s got you in such a good mood?” They ask calmly with a small smile. Miu is still speechless and staring at the bundle of sunshine in her arms. Perking up, she basks in the utter happiness that befalls her. “I’m just… really happy.”
Her partner stands and leans over her body calmly, kissing her smile and running their hands through her blonde locks. “I’m glad to hear it.”
The Inventor notices a small fireplace burning in the far right corner of the room and pictures of her family hanging above it, including her pregnancy and wedding photos and their baby when it was first born - her heart starts doing somersaults.
Her eyes close briefly so she can process the new information, and when she reopens them she is no longer holding a baby and instead is staring into Himiko’s eyes.
Her facial expression changes into horror and she lets out a scream, her smile being replaced with her jaw dropping. “Are you fuckin’ serious?!”
Himiko’s eyes widen and she sighs, “Not a good future?”
“No!” Miu exclaims wildly, feeling quite disappointed that she was here instead of there, “it was an amazing future and I want to go back!”
Himiko smiles and closes her eyes happily. “Well, you’re just going to have to wait!” She proceeds to poke Miu’s nose and cheerfully skip off, relieved and surprised that the spell actually worked.
Nagito Komaeda
Nagito had heard of one of the incoming studentsin the new class at Hope’s Peak – how she was some amazing magician or somethingand became curious to find out what she was capable of.
To no one’s surprise, she’d been working on a new spell recently. Nagitoapproached her and strikes up a conversation about her talent, which sendsHimiko into a long tangent.
Listening intently, she mentions the new spell and he takes immediate interest.“Oh~ have you tried it yet?”
The magician bitterly shakes her head, saying thatno one has given her the chance.
A mischievous smile spreads across his face. “I’d be willing to let you try.”
Her ears perk up, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. Himiko breaks into a large grinand clasps her hands together with joy. “Really?!” He nods and watched her desperatelycollect her items to prepare the spell.
Nagito wasn’t sure what to expect since he’s never seen her in action before –Hell, he was surprised she was letting him be a test subject since they justmet! Relaxing in his seat, the short girl proudly stands and proclaims that shewas ready.
His eyes flutter closed and he waits patiently for her to cast the spell. Hedoesn’t even realize that she does it at first, opening his eyes to questionher and sees something he’s not quite prepared for.
Instead of seeing her face, he is met with a new person. “Oh…hello?” His tone is peculiar as he tries to make sense of the person standing in front of him, and then it finally hits him.
The person… is (Y/N), his crush whom he thought had never even taken note of him before.
They were cradling a small baby into the crook of their neck, and a much older girl, probably around ten, bolts past him. (Y/N) calls after the child and then turns towards Nagito with frustration.
“Sweetie, will you please go take care of your daughter.”
The words ‘your daughter’ seem to resonate with Nagito and makes him feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.
His eyes widen but only slightly. He wasn’t expecting to have children, nevertheless be married, in the near future.
His legs feel heavy and he’s unable to move. All Nagito can do is stare at his partner.
He’s skimming every detail of their lovely face and memorizing it so that he’ll recognize them when their paths do actually cross, wondering when this romance will spark and how they got together. They’re stunning and his heart is racing by just gazing upon their face.
Their voice snaps Nagito out of his hypnotic haze and he nods promptly. “Right, I’ll handle it.”
He calmly walks into the room that the older girl disappeared into, and sees photos framing the walls. It was a collection of photos showing… him, and his family.
On his wedding day, in the hospital with their child, on an assortment of different trips and vacations. He can feel tears forming along his lash-line as he longs to experience these events in real time.
Of course, that will come someday; but he can’t wait, wishing he could do all of those things and more now.
He notices the ten-year-old curled up on the couch and he lowers himself beside her. She’s watching him intensely and he warmly smiles in her direction - she looks just like he did when he was that age.
He goes to ask for her name but realizes that that’s probably pretty odd. She gives him a puzzled look and seems a bit skeptical, “…Hope?”
Nagito gasps. His daughter’s name… was Hope. Before he could say another word, he is physically shaken back to reality. Instead of her face, he is met with Himiko’s bright eyes.
The magician doesn’t have to say a word. He’s absolutely beaming and already reminiscing about his future, as if that were possible.
“That was… beautiful. Thank you, Himiko. I truly can’t wait for the future.”
It was everything he could have hoped for and more.
He stands and exits the room, leaving the girl bewildered and relieved that her spell seemed to work, but baffled by the strange upperclassman. The students at Hope’s Peak truly were something else.

When the sea sings to you - Chapter 1
Rating/Warning : G, some angst and sad feelings, but nothing when compared to the canon of Danganronpa.
Characters/Relationships : Hajime Hinata/Nagito Komaeda, Sonia Nevermind/Gundham Tanaka, Nagito Komaeda & Sonia Nevermind. One-sided Kazuichi Soda/Sonia Nevermind.
Summary :
When the Novoselic’s crown princess Sonia Nevermind disappears, the blame is put on her friend and servant Komaeda. He is asked to go and find the missing princess in the Human World, under the threat to never be welcomed in the ocean again if he failed. A fairytale… with a twist.
Read on Ao3
Sometimes, Komaeda wondered when he had stopped being surprised whenever things ended up in a disaster.
“What do you mean, she disappeared?”
King Nevermind’s tone was cold, careful, and utterly menacing. Komaeda would have liked nothing more than to swim away as fast as he could, and wait for the storm to pass, but he knew it wouldn’t do him any good : not when the King’s anger was specifically directed at him. Thus, instead of fleeing, he bowed his head, hoping that the most powerful being of the Novoselic would allow him to defend himself.
The Queen was quiet, sitting next to her husband on her own throne, but her worry was obvious. The Queen of the Novoselic was everything that one expects from someone her rank : not only was she one of the most beautiful mermaid through the Seven Seas, she was also graceful, kind and devoted to her people and her husband.
It was a shame that her only daughter - and future heir to the crown - didn’t seem set on following her steps, too busy entertaining herself and putting her life in danger anytime she had the possibility to do so.
“Do you have any idea where she could be ?” The Queen asked, putting a soothing hand on her husband’s arm. “She promised me she would be there to discuss the next visit of the Grohl Kingdom’s ambassadors. I’m scared something happened to her…”
“Oh, come on darling,” the King rolled his eyes, temporarily forgetting the presence of a servant in the room . “We both know how Sonia is. Nothing happened to her beside her stubborn character. I’m guessing that she decided it wasn’t fun enough for her, and wandered near the surface again. And Komaeda was useless, as aways.”
Komaeda bit his lips, silently agreeing with the King’s assumption. He had known Sonia for the longest time - he had become her personal servant when they were both eight, though his only job back then had been to entertain the Princess and to become her friend - and if there was one thing he knew about her, it was that while she absolutely adored her people, her mind was too bright and adventurous to not be bored with her royal status. A diplomatic visit would be the closest thing to Hell in her eyes.
“Actually,” the King said, narrowing his eyes in Komaeda’s direction. “Are you really that useless, or are you my daughter’s accomplice in all this ? Does she even have to fool you anymore, or do you just look the other way and let her do as she pleases ?”
Komaeda opened his mouth to defend himself but the Queen was faster than him.
“Oh please, my love. Komaeda has been the Princess’ loyal friend for the longest time.”
“And maybe she needs better friends,” the King replied. “Friends who wouldn’t let her neglect her duties like she does. I’ve been thinking about it for a while, now. Sonia is sixteen, wouldn’t she be more at ease with a maid as her personal servant ?”
Komaeda gulped. He didn’t know what to say, this time. He had never thought he deserved to be Sonia’s closest servant. His hiring was… well, for lack of better term, charity on the Queen’s part after the tragic death of his parents. Nothing else could justify his position, and the rest of the merfolks knew it as well. If the King decided to replace him, it would only be for the better. For everyone, except for Komaeda.
Who cared about Komaeda ?
“Let’s talk about it later,” the Queen said with indulgence. “Our priority is to find the Princess. Komaeda, please find our precious daughter as quickly as possible.”
He bowed deeply.
“I will do my best, your majesty.”
*
As it stood, finding the Princess wasn’t that easy. Komaeda suspected that Sonia was swimming near the surface, but even with this first hint, the ocean was dark, huge, and unfriendly. After two hours of frantic search, Komaeda stopped, exhausted, and let himself be carried around by the marine currents.
And that’s when he noticed familiar blond hair floating nearby.
“Princess ?” Komaeda asked in disbelief.
He couldn’t believe his luck, though he also cursed the cruel irony of it, for he had been searching for her for so long, just to find her as he gave up. He swam in direction of the Princess, who seemed almost in a hurry to reach the surface, from how fast she was moving.
“Princess !” He called after her. “Princess Sonia, your parents are looking for you and they asked me to…”
He didn’t get to finish his sentence, but it didn’t matter, for the King of Novoselic’s only daughter was clearly not listening to him anyway. The girl had a gift for causing - and finding - troubles. Her curiosity, her stubborness, and the irresistible attraction she had for humans would have been charming on anyone else, Komaeda thought, but Sonia wasn’t your everyday mermaid : she was to be Queen, someday.
He swam faster, and did his best to try and keep up with the young mermaid.
“Princess Sonia,” he tried again once he was close enough that she couldn’t pretend not to hear him. “You shouldn’t be here, we are almost at the limits of the Novoselic Kingdom. Didn’t you promise your mother that you would attend a meeting this morning ? She was worried about you, you know.”
Sonia hummed in reply, but didn’t say anything.
Komaeda was aware of how jealous other merfolks were of his position, and yet, he would bet anything that none of them would have the patience to deal with the Princess’ antics. No matter what argument Komaeda used, no matter what advice he offered her, Sonia kept returning to the surface, claiming that the humans’ world was so ‘interesting’.
“Here we are !” Sonia cheered when they finally reached the surface.
Komaeda blinked a few times - everything was so bright on the surface - but he barely had the time to get used to his new environnement, for the Princess was already swimming away.
“Where are you going ? We are close enough to the shore that there might be fishermen around here, you know ?” Komaeda warned her, trying his best to not let annoyance pierce through his voice.
“Come on, Komaeda !” Sonia replied with a bell-like laugh. “What’s life without a little risk ! I want to swim toward the beach. I want to see if there are humans there ! Is that alright ?”
Of course, she didn’t wait for an answer, and Komaeda closed his eyes for a second, before letting out a deep sigh. He couldn’t lose the princess, not now. He would entertain her little obsession, and then he would convince her to come back with him. How long could she observe humans before getting bored, anyway ?
Komaeda couldn’t understand Sonia’s feelings about them : not only did they routinely killed merfolks by accident, but their legs were… so unappealing. They couldn’t swim properly with that, but neither could they fly, or run quickly. They also looked plain ugly, but he supposed it was a matter of taste. Merfolks - and especially mermaids - took a lot of pride in their appearance : they spent hours intertwining seashells in their hair, or painting their skin with special paste made from algae. Sonia, being the crown Princess, even wore necklaces of pearls.
Humans ? They covered their bodies with some kind of fabric, and called it a day.
He had never told Sonia how utterly worthless the humans were to his eyes, but that was his opinion, and there was nothing to do about it.
He followed Sonia until the shore was visible and the Princess swam all the way far ahead of him, eager and full of energy. They stopped at a reasonable distance from the land - that was still way too close in Komaeda’s opinion - and hid behind the largest rock they could find. Sonia was so excited, she was almost squealing.
“Princess, please…” Komaeda started.
He could have been talking to the sky, it would have been just as effective. Sonia peeked from behind the rock, and her tail started wiggling around excitedly.
“Oh look, he is there !” She whispered, more to herself than Nagito.
Sonia’s tone set off the alarms inside Komaeda’s head. He had a bad feeling about this he the princess was talking about. He really, really hoped that Sonia wasn’t careless enough that she would seek the contact with a human during one of her escapade near the land. It was a well-known rule that humans weren’t allowed to know about the existence of of merfolks, and while the princess was a little reckless, Komaeda couldn’t imagine she would put her people at risk.
“He's so… handsome !” Sonia sighed, dreamily. She turned toward Komaeda. “What do you think ? Doesn’t he look great ?”
Komaeda frowned, but charitably looked in the direction the Princess was pointing at. He frowned a little : the human she was cooing over was… well, maybe slightly more interesting than the others, he had to admit it. He was wearing some kind of makeup, and even a jewelry on one of his ear. He supposed Sonia had picked the less boring of the lot. Yet…
“Princess,” he tried his best to stay calm. “Humans aren’t worthy of your time, I assure you.”
Sonia gave him a curious look.
“How do you know that ? Did you ever talked to one of them ?”
“What ? No, of course I didn’t. But you do realize they eat fishes, right ?”
“And so do we !” Sonia replied vehemently.
“Of course we do,” Komaeda clicked his tongue, annoyed. “What else are we supposed to eat if we live in the ocean ? But the humans are so greedy ! They go after everything on the land, everything in the sea, everything in the sky… please, Princess, you know that they would destroy us if they knew about us.”
“Don’t say anything more !” Sonia said, clearly upset.
Komaeda immediately shut his mouth. The Princess looked betrayed by his words, and he knew he had definitely lost her on this matter. After a last offended glance in his direction, and a longing one toward the beach, she disappeared under the waves.
That went as well as one could have expected, Komaeda thought, fatalist. Time to go back to the King and the Queen, and to announce them the news.
*
Turned out that Komaeda had drifted away from the palace while looking for Sonia, and had gotten himself lost. He needed more time than he thought to go back, and the night was already about to fall on the Novoselic’s Kingdom when he was allowed to see the royal couple.
“Komaeda,” the Queen offered him a curt nod.
He immediately felt that something was off : she was a lot more restless than a few hours earlier, and Komaeda started to worry that Sonia hadn’t made it back to the palace yet. That sounded… unlikely. As restless and slippery the Princess could be, she was still kind and responsible enough to not worry her parents this way.
Unless something had happened to her.
A feeling of dread spread through him, and he felt a shiver run through his body.
The ocean could be dangerous.
He knew that too well.
“Did you find our daughter ?” The King urged him, confirming his fear.
“No. I saw her a few hours ago, but she didn’t want to listen. She was safe,” he added quickly, hoping to appease them - it didn’t work. “I thought… I thought that she would have been back by now.”
Komaeda’s defense was poor, and he knew it - after all, it was his job to look after Sonia and to make sure that the Princess didn’t spend the night somewhere out of the palace. Sonia’s life was important, as the sole heir to the throne. The entire future of the Kingdom was on her frail shoulder, and Komaeda should have been more careful.
But then again, what would it have changed ? It’s not like he had the power to change anything, right ? Things happened, and Komaeda lived through them, that was the natural order of things.
The royal couple fell silent.
Komaeda was frozen where he stood, the cogs in his brain turning, trying to imagine any place where the princess could be. The best option would be that she had been so upset by her argument with Komaeda that she had swam too far, and had lost her way. The worst was that she had been caught - or killed - by something or someone.
When I left her, we were in an area where humans come to fish.
Should he say it ?
He opened his mouth, but before any word managed to get out, he heard a loud bang behind him, as the Throne Room’s doors were slammed open. A young mermaid barged into the room, followed by a Royal attendant.
“Young lady,” the attendant was trying to catch up to the girl. “The King and the Queen are busy.”
“But this is important,” she replied, so upset that Komaeda could see tears in her eyes. “It’s about the Princess ! Something terrible happened to her.”
The Queen tensed perceptibly, and the King focused all his attention on the newcomer, but for some reason, Komaeda felt something like serenity fill him : he had been afraid to hold Sonia’s future in his decision, but if there was nothing to do anymore, then he could just sit back and watch, couldn’t he ?
“Talk.” The King ordered.
The mermaid bowed a few times - still way too agitated for someone meeting the royal family but neither the Queen nor the King seemed to care - then started to talk.
“I saw her swimming alone, near the surface !” She almost cried. “I was so surprised to see her so far away from the palace, but I didn’t want to bother her, of course ! And then… and then…” Crushed, she was at lost for word.
“And then ?” Komaeda prompted her - a little rude maybe, but the girl was annoying.
“There… there was a boat.” She admitted. “Fishermen, I think. They… caught her. I couldn’t move, I’m so sorry ! I was too far away, and I was too scared and…” She stopped talking for a moment, hesitating. “She tried to fight, but she disappeared out of my sight, still imprisoned in the humans’ net”
“Was she hurt ?” The Queen asked without wasting time.
The mermaid shook her head, slowly. “I don’t think she was, but I’m worried. What will the humans do when they found out they caught her ? Oh, I’m so sorry,” she lamented again. “Maybe if I acted soon enough...”
The king waved his hand to stop her, and she fell silent. He was still remarkably composed, considering the circumstances.
“It was not your responsibility to watch over my daughter, you don’t have to blame yourself.” He said, before turning toward Komaeda. His eyes were as cold as ice, and in spite of himself, Komaeda felt a shiver running down his spine. “It was your responsibility. I never considered you competent, but I didn’t think you would have the royal Princess captured under your watch.”
Komaeda bowed his head, apologetic, for there was nothing else he could do beside taking the King’s wrath. If tearing him to pieces could make him feel better, then Komaeda wouldn’t fight back.
“Please,” the Queen said, softly, almost pleading. “There is more pressing issues to take care of, right now.”
“Is there ?” The king replied coldly. “I don’t think so. What I think is that if this servant had done his job properly, we wouldn’t have these more pressing issues.” He took a deep breath, before talking directly to Komaeda. “I could never stand you, you know. My wife pitied you after what happened to your parents, and part of me did, too. And that’s why we gave you this position.”
“And I’m incredibly lucky to be... “ Komaeda started, but didn’t get to finish.
“But I never liked you. I never thought you were someone reliable. You stood there, waiting for things to happen. You let Sonia roam around freely, no matter how important her life is to this Kingdom. You let her do what she wanted, and then you come here and act sorry ? Isn’t that easy ? Isn’t that convenient ?”
Komaeda kept quiet, and didn’t dare look at the king directly. The room was filled with a loud, uncomfortable silence, where he could hear the sound of his own heartbeat in ears. Finally, the king exhaled slowly.
“You are going to find my daughter and bring her back,” he said.
Komaeda frowned. “I don’t think there is anything I can do if she was captured by humans. I can’t leave the ocean.”
There was another silence.
“This can be arranged,” the Novoselic’s king replied calmly, and Komaeda was so shocked by it that he raised his head, meeting the determined eyes of his ruler. “Komaeda Nagito. As a punishment for neglecting your duties, and letting my daughter and the future Queen of the Novoselic being caught by humans, I’m sending you to the humans’ territory. You have three days to bring Sonia back to the Palace. If she isn’t there when the sun sets on the third day, then this punishment will be commuted into permanent exile, and you will be forbidden to ever set a foot in the ocean again.”
Komaeda’s eyes widened as he understood what was going to happen to him. He looked for the queen’s support, who offered her a small, apologetic smile, but didn’t do anything to stop his husband. The king raised a hand toward him.
Komaeda closed his eyes, shaking like a leaf.
And then everything went black.

“ DR2 kids react to going out on a mission with their s/o that involves hilarious over the top disguises”
Hajime Hinata:
You noticed how sad he looked. You knew he wasn’t his usual self, but he insisted that he was doing just fine.
Being the lover you are, you didn’t believe him for a second, and you made up a mission where you would work with Fuyuhiko and Kazuichi to do a chase scene.
Basically, you would be the person that’s trying to chase down Kazuichi, who had a swimming cap on hiding his hair. Fuyuhiko would join in, managing to persuade Hajime to come out with you. He would say that he was on the other side to Kazuichi, cornering him effectively.
Hajime does come out with you to chase down Kazuichi, and Hajime hears you say all of these over-the-top statements.
“Stop right there, criminal scum!”
Where has he heard that?
He looks over, and he only just then realises that you’ve disguised yourself as a guard, and he’s slightly annoyed by this discovery.
He turns the corner to see Kazuichi, and he tackles down the boy before he could continue with the plan.
He realises that Fuyuhiko was there as well, and Fuyuhiko couldn’t hold back his laughter at how determined Hajime looked.
Hajime had a talk to you about what was putting him on edge.
Chiaki Nanami:
Chiaki wanted to go out on a date, but you knew that she didn’t pick the place herself.
You tried to get her to pick the place, but she insisted that anything is fine as long as it was with you.
So, you decided maybe it might be a cute idea to do lazer tag.
You played a sergeant. It would be a change of pace which could be interesting.
You noticed that she looked really happy when you took her in, insisting that the games were on you.
When she nodded off  at times, you woke her up by exaggerating all of your movements while going “Soldier down! Soldier down! Send in back-up!”
It was a really fun date!
Nagito Komaeda:
He’s originally agreed because he knew that he may be needed for some major bait, or at least some good luck to strike during the mission.
Then he notices the apprearance his s/o is going for, and he can’t help but smirk playfully as he crosses his arms.
I mean, you said you were going to go disguised as a detective to blend in but you came out in the most detective-esque outfit, equipped with a magnifying glass and an equally as obvious fake mustashe.
He thought that maaybe you were just doing this to look weird but gain friends during the mission, but then you started coming out with all these comical lines that made you look more suspicious as a detective.
Making innuendos, over-emphasising every time you thought about something.
Sonia Nevermind:
You were going to a meeting with her as her partner, and you didn’t know how the other people would like you. You heard of how poncy they were, and you didn’t want to do anything outlandish for them.
So, you dress up in a proper suit, bowtie and everything, and you even added a monacle because you thought that would help.
During the meeting, you would act almost like a butler to Sonia. You grabbed a hand towel and draped this over your lower arm, walking like you had a stick up your arse.
Sonia couldn’t help but love this, but she knew how worried you were.
You even spoke differently. It was a good accent, don’t get Sonia wrong. It’s just that she knew that you weren’t doing this because you wanted to do it.
Kazuichi Souda:
You wanted to cheer Kazuichi up after an interaction with Miu that led him to believe that you were more interested in her than you were than him. Miu knew you weren’t interested in her, and she remained friendly even after you explained to her that your heart was with Kazuichi.
You went to talk to him, but he would run away before you could grab his hand to hold him back.
So, you had to go undercover.
You disguise yourself as a judge for his mechanical talent, and he doesn’t recognise you.
Once you entered the room, Kazuichi felt nervous, and it wasn’t because you were with the judges. It was because of how stereotypical you looked for a judge.
You stood out like a sore thumb, but thanks to Miu’s help you didn’t look like you.
You also introduced yourself with a name that was, to an extent, similar to yours. He noticed the initals of your name matching up, and he had a few worries.
You approached him, looking extremely serious.
“We need to talk.” You put out to him. The other people there already put him in as worthy of his talent that year - you just had to ask them to go in with you to look like they had more to say.
You leave the room with Kazuichi, and you sit him down in the seat that’s furthest from the door.
“So,” Kazuichi said. “what can I do to prove myself to you?”
You didn’t say anything.
You pressed a button, deflating your disguise.
“I should be asking that question, sir.” You put out, still in character.
Kazuichi grunted, getting up to leave.
“Dude, let the bitch talk!” Miu (who was hiding in the room), placed a hand on his shoulder.
You have a talk as a group, and you leave the room reunited as a trio.
Akane Owari: (shoutout to Mod Kirumi for giving inspiration for this one!)
Akane was looking forward to going out on a date with you to a restaurant, but when she was told that your boss had called you wanting you to do extra hours for your day shift, she became sort of sad that you couldn’t spend the day with her.
You arrived at work, and you started to work. You feel someone applying pressure onto your shoulders, and you turned around to see your boss there.
It turns out that someone else was supposed to do more hours. Your boss only realised this once she checked your hours, only to find out you did a lot of hours - more so than what your contract stated for a week.
She lets you go, giving you pay for the hours you worked that day, and you wanted to surprise Akane by inviting her out to eat disguised as one of her good friends - Nekomaru.
You knew that they were both together for the day, and you decided to send him a text, asking if you could switch with him (while being disguised as him) to surprise Akane after explaining your situation.
He agrees to do so, and he leaves once he gets the notification that you were outside of the restaurant they were in. A couple of minutes later, you took his place.
You couldn’t quite nail his voice, though.
Akane’s face wrinkles up, sniffing something.
“Did you take s/o’s deodorant? You smell like them, coach!” Akane queried, placing her chin on her hand.
You pulled off the wig you had on, and she couldn’t help but start crying.
“You made it!” She embraced you in a hug, tears still coming out.
You laughed, pulling her in closer. You paid for the meal, and you made sure that she had a good day with you.
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu:
Normally, he would shoot down this shit as soon as you started.
But today he noticed that you looked particularly focused, and he wanted to find out what was going on.
You never tell him, just pressing a finger to your lips before running away giggling.
He tilts his head in confusion, before turning to get to a meeting with other Yakuza leaders.
--
He arrives, and he spotted you.
Oh my god.
You seem to have taken advice from Kokichi as what you should wear, and you chose to embody him as well.
You wouldn’t stop cracking jokes during serious situations, and Fuyuhiko was growing increasingly worried for you. The looks the other clan leaders gave looked neutral, but they were trying to hide something.
He’s internally sceaming, but he really freaks out when one of the leaders wraps their arm around yours.
“Oh my god, you’re hilarious!”
Everyone bursted out laughing.
Fuyuhiko was so confused by this development. How did you not get hurt when you were pulling this during an interview?
Fuyuhiko then thinks about the looks the clan leaders had, and he realised they knew who you were, and you must have somehow negotiated with them to piss him off.
He has a very stern chat with you.
Mikan Tsumiki:
You were beginning to get annoyed by how Mikan would take anything bad from patients, fellow nurses, doctors, receptionists - you name it!
She insisted on you not worrying about it, how it’s okay for them to treat her in the way she is treated.
So, you take an indirect approach to sort out the situation.
You pretended to be a health inspector. More specifically, they would be a hand-hygienist.
You entered the ward she worked in, going after everyone in the ward that wouldn’t wash their hands when they needed to.
You would approach the person by obnoxiously gasping, causing everyone else in the room to turn around to see what happened. You would drag the person over to the nearest hand sanitiser dispenser, tutting at them as you did so.
You knew your Mikan never failed to wash her hands efficiently, so you didn’t need to worry about that.
Teruteru Hanumura:
You decided to convince him to let you become a server for his diner.
He agreed. It doesn’t take him much convincing, and he’s not as sexual as you thought he would be about the whole thing. Sure, there was one implied comment but it was extremely tame for him.
You decided to be as tv stereotypical of a server as possible, and you have never had so much fun with it.
Every other server decided to do the antics you did, and you made so many friends and positive memories.
He enjoyed seeing how happy everyone was around you, and he even played along when serving up the plates for you to take off.
Peko Pekoyama: (in this one, the s/o is the ultimate escape artist!)
It was the day that she had to show her proof of improvement as the ultimate swordswoman, but the people looking at her portfolio didn’t see an improvement so they had to think quickly.
They knew about your relationship, and they decide to reach out to you. They knew you could escape any situation possible, and you sometimes watched Peko when she was doing her exercises to maintain her talent.
After a meeting, you had a scenario to live up to. You were supposed to be a new student, going by the ultimate of mafioso. You had a proper disguise and all!
You were in her room, waiting for her to return. She was never tested on something that was in the comfort of her own room.
When she spotted you, she dashed towards you, unsheathing her sword.
Your reflexes kicked in, and you attempt to escape. She knew about the tricks you tried to pull, and you knew about the tricks she tried to pull.
It lasted a really long time, and Peko was beginning to tire herself out. You had some marks on your forearms, but they weren’t deep enough to cause permanent scarring.
Peko had to think of new ideas, and she improvised.
She swiped up the way, getting your face.
Your hat falls off, and her expression changed from one of determination to one of surprise.
“s-s/o!” She cried out, reaching for your face. “Why did you do this?”
You placed a hand on her shoulder, rubbing it before leaving. You had a bad feeling that this would affect Peko’s trust with you, but you were also glad that she was able to stay in hopes peak when you reported back to the institution.
Nekomaru Nidai:
Some of the people Nekomaru was coaching became significantly more lazy and stubborn after some of his overly optimistic comments, and you would see the glint of anger or sadness in his eyes.
You couldn’t tell the difference.
You did an under-cover mission as a new student to Nekomaru, and he introduced you with all of the positivity he had in his mind.
You strolled over to your peers in the most obnixious manner, patting them on the back.
“Good thing I’m not with boring, lazy people!” You bellowed out.
Some of the people got really offended by that you said this, and they decided to try to gang up on you.
Oh hell no!
You flipped all of them over, much to Nekomaru’s (lowkey) approval.
He couldn’t help but smile at how effortless your flipping looked, and it also got the students to put in more energy again.
Ibuki Mioda:
You noticed how sad Ibuki appeared when she came back to your home one day. She insisted that she was doing fine, but there was something about her character that definitely didn’t seem like her.
You investigated yourself for a week, and you saw all of the messages people would directly give her. She didn’t care about the internet’s comment because of the fact that they were, really, faceless.
But in person, when reporters would make fun of Ibuki for not meeting society’s standards of singing, that’s what got to her. The reporters managed to jab at her insecurities, and it showed in her facial expression momentarily once she turned away from the cameras.
So, you decide to disguise yourself as a reporter yourself.
You would look like one of those bloggers on youtube, but your personality would almost match up to the reporters.
Almost.
You didn’t jab at her insecurities, you embraced her different personality and how she would manage to keep a strong personality through all of the comments.
When the sea of reporters came out, she didn’t originally recognise you.
Her eyes looked worried when you reached out for her, walking towards her.
“Miss Mioda! Miss Mioda!” You started screeching, taking a video of yourself with her as you started. “How does it feel to be the best of the best?”
Ibuki noticed your voice, and she brightens up.
“Ibuki thinks that this feels great!” She didn’t know exactly what to say, but she wanted to talk to her fans about being different through your video. “Being different is cool!” She giggled out, pinching your cheeks.
Byakuya Twogami:
You made it a competition. He accepted the challenge.
So now, you’re pretending to be him as he’s pretending to be you.
He’s struggling to get some parts of your character because of his love towards you. You managed to get him flutered when he tried to imitate you.
You made it worse by managing to get his interpretation of Byakuya perfectly. You acted like you had a job to do, you acted really serious etc.
He’s refusing to accept that you bet him, but you keep doing it every single time.
Mahiru Kozumi:
There were times that Mahiru would scrap pictures because they didn’t have the zing she thought they did.
You decided to dress up as an artist, one that looked like they were extremely serious.
You entered her room when she was there with the pictures she threw in the bin out of disappointment.
“Doll, where did you get these?” You started in your accent. “These are revolutionary!”
You then listed everything you loved about the pictures, more enthusiastic with every line you projected into the room.
“Honey, you’re evolutionary!” You finished, pulling Mahiru into a ressuring side-hug.
Gundham Tanaka:
Honestly, he’ll love it if he’s involved.
He enjoys being able to play along with an over-the-top character as long as it fits his own ideals though, so you have to be slightly more strategic with him.
So, you land up doing a mission involving animals. You guys volunteered at the local vet to work for the day, and you decided to bring a personality Gundham didn’t quite expect.
You came as his admirer. What I mean by this is that you almost acted as his second-up, and you spoke like you were part of an organisation when you were chatting with other staff.
Gundham copes with this by playing up his character more, but internally he’s still so...surprised?
Like what was that? Why that character?
aLSO WHY ARE YOU WEARING AN OUTFIT THAT MADE YOU LOOK LIKE YOU JUST LIKED FLUFFY THINGS?
Hiyoko Saonji:
You got real tired of how overly strict her parents became.
It got to the point where they didn’t allow Hiyoko to go on dates anymore because she was supposedly not doing as well as she should be doing.
So, you decide to disguise yourself as a judge.
You almost looked like an extremely strict business man, it honestly worried Hiyoko when she entered the stage front and saw you there.
She relaxes after she realises that it’s you, happy that you wouldn’t leave her because of her parents being dicks about the relationship.
As she’s dancing, you feel the eyes of her parents boring into the back of your head. You knew they didn’t know you were still dating Hiyoko, and you honestly thought that they were thinking it was you.
They didnt.
When you gave raving critiques, pointing out everything that was perfect, Hiyoko noticed how...dissappointed? surprised? What was that emotion? Regret?
You stand up to give her the award, and when you turned, the parents saw your face but thought nothing of it.
You were glad that they were showing a new expression, one that didn’t literally say “we are so angry at you for not doing well.”

Trial 5 - Clash of Sidekicks (2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“This is the worst movie I’ve watched since ‘The Wizard of Monomi’!”
"The fact that you can admit to watching that says a lot about you.”
Investigation 1 / 2 - second half is where I put my own theories that I penned before playing the trial.
Trial: 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That is a PERFECTLY REASONABLE REACTION to a snuff film. All the new sprites we’re getting this chapter are so brutal, jeez... D:
... with the sole exception of hangover!Shuichi which must be protected at all costs.
Tumblr media
Kokichi is just going over all of the important parts of this evidence and Monokuma is not about it. Well you know, Monokuma, maybe if you had given us something to work with in the Monokuma file we wouldn’t be relying on good ol’ K over here!
Anyway, it just has play, record and pause... I was wondering if it had some sort of ‘speed up’ function to explain why the press suddenly went faster at that one point but apparently not, huh. I guess if pause/play was activated by accident or purpose it would make it seem artificially fast, like the way they cut frames in animation? that would be a lot of cut frames though, hm...
Anyway, hard to know if I should be questioning this or not but wow way to come in partway through the trial and throw up like an updated autopsy report. Who do you think you are, Miles Edgeworth? >3>
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Confirmation is a bitch.
Then... if I’m going to take this as is which, for now, I guess I should... then the suspect part is the act that Kaito just lay there, not moving, right? And the fact that the press went down with no problems (unless that’s why the press seemed to halt for a second)... doesn’t that mean he was already dead?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ryukishi07 is that you
Actually for that matter it could be Uchikoshi - his description of a certain 999 scene got pretty detailed. >>
Tumblr media
RIGHT?! There was nothing for him! He ended everything! The game was over, and I’m still sure he wasn’t the mastermind! The only thing I can think of is that it was an accident as a result of Kaito getting that crossbow and attacking him right under his nose! He knows if Kaito wound up dead he’d be the obvious culprit, and he’s made it incredibly clear that not only does he wanted to win the whole game, he has the intelligence to do it! Also the fact that he brought it here in the first place seems more like he’s making a point than confessing his guilt -
So... was it someone else? Or was it illness after all, and Kokichi taking advantage of the opportunity presented to him?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
... hoo boy.
Tumblr media
“You wrote ‘Kokichi Ouma killed Kaito Momota’ on the back of the exisal, you took a selfie with the press and uploaded it onto all of your social media counts with #oops #madeamess #galaxyprinthydraulicpress -”
Tumblr media
“Don’t you do it -”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“KOKICHI ARE YOU SERIOUSLY GOING TO PULL ANOTHER TRIAL 4 ON ME?!”
well actually I guess he’s ‘confessed’ like, 10 times to various things over many trials so who even knows anymore
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not that I think he killed Kaito, but I do wonder if he conspired with Monokuma at all to set up an ‘unknown victim’ trial and if he did, what the extent of that collaboration was. If he did, he just went out of his way to deliberately undermine Monokuma... again. There is definitely no love lost between those two, huh. 8′D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I DON’T BELIEVE YOU!!! also nice use of the word space there sob sob
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I CANNOT BELIEVE -
Tumblr media
“You don’t understand guys, I’ve played so many courtroom games and murder mystery visual novels. So many. I’m an authority on this sort of game-based killing stuff, believe you me!”
finally, a place where Shuichi and Tsumugi can coexist in peace
Tumblr media
.... BAH BUT THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH IT BEING KOKICHI (in the exisal, not the killer obis) IS THAT IT MESSES WITH THE WHOLE ‘MAKI WAS AN ACCOMPLICE THEORY’ and I just can’t get around the fact that she had to have been involved somehow! But other than mercy-killing Kaito, I can’t think of a reason why she would do anything to hurt him - and she certainly wouldn’t leave his body to be messed with so terribly by Kokichi!
Tumblr media
Also, I’ve been treating her this whole time like she’s hiding Kaito actually being alive and that she’s pressing hard as Kokichi as an act but, unless my genuine-meter is off, she seems far too genuine about everything she’s said up to this point? Does she really think Kokichi is the one in the exisal, then?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
damn it Junko can’t you leave v3 alone even when you’ve been dead for hundreds of years
Tumblr media
LMAO
Oh shit he doesn’t know about Junko does he? Amazing. Wonderful. Fantastic.
Disclaimer here that I actually liked Junko as the villain of DR1 and I thought she had fantastic presence as well as a rocking’ cosplayable outfit but I really feel like she has no place here... though ugh, the fact that Monokuma exists is just something I can’t ignore, so I guess she was something that would need to be addressed down the line at some point. But not here, damn it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
SWEETCHEEKS IS SO UPSET BY THIS IT’S AMAZING!!
Shuichi is finally stepping in to the protagonist!shoes long enough to curse out Kokichi or K or whoever it is in there for breaking classic mystery protocol.
Tumblr media
WHY DID YOU SHOEHORN JUNKO IN AT THE LAST MINUTE DAMN IT
Tumblr media
YES!!! GOOD!!! MY BOY IS TAKING CHARGE!!!
Tumblr media
.... Kokichi has some sort of plan, huh. Trying to ‘trap’ us. Shuichi isn’t wrong for sure - and this is a very ‘Kokichi’ thing to do...
Man, it’s really looking more and more unlikely that Kaito is in there, huh? disregarding the fact that we literally just watched a video of him being crushed to death Shuichi is right - there definitely is method behind the madness, and that’s exactly the problem - we got a brief glimpse of Kaito (SERIOUSLY WHY DID HIS VOICE COME OUT) but everything after has been all Kokichi, not just by voice but by personality, cadence, speech... even the way he’s presenting information to us. I’m not saying Kaito isn’t smart - I know the game keeps trying to present him as dumb at some points, via Kokichi himself sometimes, but I’ve never agreed with that at all - but is he capable of mimicking Kokichi to this degree? That would require an incredible insight  on who Kokichi is as a person, and while Kaito has been incredibly perceptive on an emotional level, this is pretty next-level, right?
And other than survival, what could Kaito gain from doing this?
Tumblr media
yes
Tumblr media
Shuichi it’s true and you should say it
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is it bad that I wanted a new sprite of Shuichi grabbing the platform and just, leaning forward to yell, “SERIOUSLY?!” at the top of his lungs.

togami on steroids
I’m feeling confused and lost and it’s fantastic.
If Kaito really is out of the running as the culprit, the game really seems to be pointing at Maki as an option? I don’t know how I feel about that - while it does seem to fit in a lot of ways it just... doesn’t feel right to me either? But then the only other options are Tsumugi, Himiko and K1-b0 and I really can’t imagine them being the right answer....
Kokichi is definitely not the culprit. I mean, there’s always that 1% chance I guess, but...
And Shuichi - well, we haven’t had any indications of them pulling a second Kaede, right? I swear I’ve been paying attention this time... ;A;
Tumblr media
Beatrice would be proud
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh good, finally something I actually know how to deal with! The footage shows him being crushed, but that doesn’t mean it’s the time of death...
Once again, I’m so glad Shuichi is on the same wavelength as me. 8′D
Tumblr media
Damn, it just switched to Maki standing quietly and staring daggers at us. Yikes.
Also it’s quite nice that K1-b0 can put his feelings about the press aside and stay on-point for this trial. 8′D I’m sure he’ll have a lot to say later, though - it can’t be nice to think you’re on the same level as a corpse.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
oh thanks for showing us the video again, I really wanted to see that.
that acceleration is weird though! It’s really weird!!!
Tumblr media
Wait, really?! It’s not built-in? I thought if the sensor was disabled then the press would be too!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I know Shuichi’s thinking about this from an immediate defensive tactical POV (aka Kokichi being able to protect himself), but I imagine losing control over the exisals guarding Monokuma would be a huge blow to Kokichi, too.
Tumblr media
I do love the fact that he just casually throws in little comments to try and confuse the matter further. ‘D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mm, Maki, you really shouldn’t be bringing something like this up. weeeeh I thought the answer was ‘Kaito’s coat’ aka the hole in it but I was wrong boo it was the bloodstain on the floor
Tumblr media
Man it really seemed like it was lining up to match with Kokichi’s clothes...
Tumblr media
Wait why are you bringing that up??? You’re the one fighting for Kokichi being in the exisal!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
THERE’S THE HOLE IN THE COAT!!! Finally!!! I’ve been anxious to get to the crossbow and poison - oh suddenly Himiko’s getting upset. Yeah... yeah, considering the fact that she brought the crossbow, I can see why.
Wait...
Sorry, stepping back for a sec. Komaeda’s death was ruled Nanami’s fault because she technically killed him via throwing the poisoned canister, right? So if Maki applied the poison to one of the crossbow bolts Himiko delivered but never fired it herself - in fact, if Kokichi fired back in self-defense after wrestling it from Kaito in a fight - would that make Kokichi the accidental culprit? Could... that be where this is going? Or is this going to be a ‘different game, different ruling’ type situation where Maki becomes the blackened for setting things up so that someone would die? I was wondering why it would just be one, but maybe the ‘small amount of poison was used’ is the key to that - she tried to use just enough that the difference wouldn’t be obvious in order to fool Shuichi (but, well, failed in that regard).
That... could be interesting, right? Maki sends Himiko with one of the bolts being poisoned, Kaito and Kokichi struggle over the crossbow, Kokichi accidentally uses one of the poisoned ones and Kaito dies despite Kokichi’s best efforts... (antidote search? maybe? but he doesn’t find it - and Kaito is weakened from disease already, so...) So in order to attempt to survive an unwinnable trial that he tried to prevent by cancelling the game, he throws one loop after another - obscuring the body’s identity but then showing up because he had no choice anyway, but still in an exisal, taping himself crushing Kaito’s body with the clue of him being absolutely still hidden in there but then giving the video to them anyway, and then leading them to the answer that he was ‘set up’ as the killer against his best efforts?
This could be a narratively satisfying way of ending his journey with Shuichi - “Please solve this last riddle here at the very end, dearest detective. It’s been a pleasure.” nothing wrong with throwing a bit of saiouma in here at the very end, right?
Tumblr media
Anyway while I was going off on a weird tangent Himiko created what may very well be the most terrifying non-lethal curse I’ve ever heard of in my entire life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gosh Himiko may actually be a worse liar than K1-b0 and that’s really saying something???
Tumblr media
“That’s right, Himiko, I’ve got your number right down to that really, really weird quirk of yours.” no seriously why is ‘Himiko has to go to the bathroom a lot’ a thing
Also Himiko I’m pretty sure you only delivered it, so why are you freaking out so badly???
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maybe... I’m onto something with the revised theory...??? I don’t know why he would cover for anyone else???
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Guys, I spent a whole trial hammering the importance of lies and truth as the theme of the game into your skulls and you’re just chucking that out the window because I was gone for a few days? Seriously?”
Tumblr media
It’s interesting that they’re bringing up being able to shoot Kaito from the outside because, I mean, the crossbow was found inside the hangar and I really don’t think it could have been tossed in through the window fully assembled, but I guess it’s a way to confuse the matter even further?
Tumblr media
Oh hey, you included yourself for once!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I  DON’T KNOW TSUMUGI, WEREN’T YOU THE ONE WHO COMMENTED ON ME BEING A TSUNDERE FOR KAITO EARLIER?! WHY WOULD I POSSIBLY BE ON EDGE?!”
Honestly though, she’s being incredibly vicious and, once again, I highly doubt it’s just because Shuichi accusing everyone, herself included. Even if Kaito is the victim...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I     S T A N D     O N     T H E     S I D E     O F     H O P E
Tumblr media
Kokichi chooses funny times to be helpful, huh. 8′D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
YOU’RE ACTUALLY TERRIBLE AT THIS, HIMIKO
Tumblr media
DAMN GET WRECKED HIMIKO
also LMAO Kokichi just declared Himiko the culprit
never change, kiddo
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ARE YOU REALLY GOING TO TRY AND THROW MAKI ‘I MURDER PEOPLE WITH A LOOK’ HARUKAWA UNDER THE BUS RIGHT NOW
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I feel like being scared should be the least of your worries right now.
Tumblr media
You just want an Ace Attorney-style breakdown, don’t you???
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
AGAIN KOKICHI, PLEASE NEVER CHANGE
Tumblr media
~one of these things is not like the other~
Also the fact that Kokichi yelling about how he’s the most suspicious being the dialogue blocking the actual right answer is kind of amazing.
Tumblr media
“And please don’t ask him to prove it, I’m not really over the last time he printed something from his memory.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“AND ANOTHER THING! I wouldn’t even cosplay as you if you were a fictional character!”
“NOW YOU HAVE GONE TOO FAR - !”
this trial is tearing our family apart
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, uh, did Shuichi just whip out the actual crossbow case or just a spare one he grabbed from Maki’s lab -
Tumblr media
Thank you for summing it up so succinctly, Tsumugi!
Tumblr media
That might be the longest one yet!
Tumblr media
I actually believe that!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
LMAO
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
THIS WHOLE DISCUSSION IS AMAZING AND SHOULD BE WITNESSED, FULLY VOICED, IN ITS ENTIRETY
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was worth messing up for this -
k1-b0, honey, you were doing so well and I believe you I swear -
Tumblr media
We’re starting to circle around the next big answer, methinks...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oooh man, you shouldn’t have talked about her like that earlier, Himiko!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
AAAAAAAAAAW damn it okay that is actually really cute
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She sounds so sad, aaaaaah D:
Tumblr media
Implying that you aren’t lying about anything this trial? I don’t think so -
Tumblr media
- but with that said, how sweet of you to come to her aid like this when you could have also thrown her under the bus! You really are starting to come along, Maki!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
whispers why does Tsumugi voice my thoughts so often
But of course, we can’t avoid it. Someone asked Himiko to bring the crossbow there - I never was under the illusion that it was her idea. As for who it was that asked...
Tumblr media
Yeah, I thought so. I wonder if it was Shuichi’s talk with him that spurred him to make that request. As soon as he thought the others were going to stick their necks out for him he decided to make his own plan of action, huh...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m taking this random opportunity to address the fact that I adore this particular sprite of K1-b0′s which practically screams, “I am so sick of your human nonsense” or perhaps more specifically, “Kokichi, why are you the way you are -”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
what is happening right now
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Het-ship potential? For Kokichi Ouma? The world must be endin - ohwait
TENKO IS ROLLING IN HER GRAVE RIGHT NOW
Tumblr media
I hate to put it in these terms, and I hope dearly that Shuichi doesn’t make the same connection as me, but does this not imply that Shuichi was catalyst leading to his close friend’s death for the second time?!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Man, I can hardly imagine the panic she was in when she saw Kaito’s sleeve amongst all that blood. She probably feels incredibly responsible, and from the point of view of someone who thinks Kokichi is the mastermind, the obvious conclusion to draw would have been, “Kaito tried to rebel against Kokichi and this is the result!” And it wouldn’t have been too hard to go to, “I’m going to punish everyone who helped him” for that matter...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, so it was definitely after Shuichi talked to Kaito. K1-b0 only caught her going into the hangar the second time though?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Why in the world would you go there by yourself with the exisals wandering around? Kaito’s voice wouldn’t be able to reach you unless you were far into the hangar, so exactly what were you thinking???
Tumblr media
Just... why. Why.
Tumblr media
I’m so glad I have you here, Tsumugi.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Good. 8′\
I guess we’re not addressing why Himiko decided to take a nighttime stroll into the hangar before the request made then??? O... Okay???
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Man, if it turns out that Kokichi was actually able to disarm Kaito of the crossbow despite being shot twice, one time in the back, that would be pretty damn impressive.
Tumblr media
YOU ARE A LIAR, ‘K’-WHO-IS-MOST-LIKELY-KOKICHI-BUT-COULD-STILL-MAYBE-BE-KAITO!
Tumblr media
Wouldn’t it be funny if after all of this, Maki’s straightforward determination to hang this all up on Kokichi actually turned out to be correct? And by the time we all come around to point the finger at him, Kokichi is revealed to not be the mastermind or morally responsible despite accidentally killing Kaito and Maki ends up getting him killed like she always wanted, but at that point actually regrets it - and Kaito’s life is lost in the crossfire as well?
Oh did I say funny? I meant extremely fucked up and tragic, whoops.
I think the one thing that I can stand by until the end is the fact that Maki was responsible for the introduction of poison to this whole wild affair. The electrohammer is obvious, sure - but the poison? They’ve been dancing around that the way I thought they would have been dancing around other things this whole time.
Tumblr media
?!?!
Tumblr media
Yeah, what??? You’re supposed to be acting as the moderator, aren’t you?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ET TU MONOKUMA
FORGET THE WHOLE KOKICHI AND HIMIKO THING, CAN YOU PLEASE STOP PLAYING WITH MY HEART?!
Tumblr media
“INTERFERENCE!!!”
Tumblr media
It’s not like he called it off or anything when he visibly took the reins of the game OH WAIT....
Tumblr media Tumblr media
how dare you point out the issues I’ve been having without my consent, bear
Tumblr media
WHAT
NO HOW DARE YOU
AGAIN?!
Tumblr media
I’M LOSING MY DAMN MIND
Tumblr media Tumblr media
FUCK YOU K I’M GOING TO START CRYING ACTUAL TEARS
That’s it I hope Rantaro steps out of the exisal at the end of the trial and just ascends to the heavens without a word -
actually if it has a voice changer could you do anyone because that could be hella interesting
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“There’s a bit of a situation going on” you are the most casual guy every -
Okay so if there’s a voice changer and DR isn’t going to pull out a whopper on us with both of them hiding in the exisal somehow, Kokichi is either having a hell of a time doing some low-key satire by portraying Kaito as the most relaxed, casual dude ever who thinks he can just handwave his mistakes via pure charisma, or Kaito is doing the most goddamn amazing Kokichi impression known to mankind and is also actually the Ultimate Improv Actor. The inflection difference alone between the two of them and the completely different way they address people - ‘Kaito’ has shown up briefly so it wouldn’t be too hard for Kokichi, but ‘Kokichi’ has been here for most of the trial and responded pretty effortlessly without slipping up once!
Tumblr media
Maki is Not Having this shit anymore.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I-I THINK YOU JUST HIT HER BERSERK BUTTON
Also if it is Kokichi in there then, uh, yeah, point proven about needing to stay in the exisal.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Damn it, both of them have a plausible reason as to why they can’t come out of the exisal!!! And yikes, I wonder if I underestimated the severity of his injury from his run in with the exisal at the end of the escape tunnel? He didn’t break his ankle or something, did he? That would explain why he would rely on a long-ranged weapon like a crossbow to fight Kokichi!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WILL DO! .....
....
oh
I... I had a brief, faint glimmer of hope but -
apparently choosing Kokichi as the answer to ‘who is the victim’ is the wrong choice
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How terrifying would it be to have that gatling gun-style arm waving around behind your back while you’re forced to think on your feet... >> Shuichi, I don’t envy you for even a second.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Really???? After all that, I thought... I really thought... we were leading into a flip of the script. Is - is it official then??? Man, was I just completely wrong the whole time then?
Tumblr media
Look Kai - uh, Kokichi, K, whoever, look. Look. I was confident. I had a whole damn chart and notes written out, and even managed to work out a decent motive to go along with it, one with enough heart to make Will H Wright proud. BUT IT WAS ALL FOR NAUGHT, APPARENTLY, BECAUSE I GUESS I FUCKED UP THIS TRIAL PRETTY BADLY FROM THE GET-GO.
Tumblr media
It.... It’s really saying that it’s Kaito, then....??? Damn....
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My heart is actually aching for Shuichi right now. I understand he’s not literally in the audience POV, staring at the exisal behind his portrait with his voice encouraging him the way it always did in the last few trials - but maybe that’s what makes it worse for him?
Rather than standing at his side, ‘Kaito’ is behind him, where he can’t see him. Shuichi can imagine him though - imagine Kaito’s voice is actually coming from him, just outside of his peripheral vision, and Kaito is just about to clap him on the back and congratulate him on another well-made deduction. After the last trial, it’s so nice to have Kaito on his side again. They had finally just made up - !
..... but.

Would you mind doing a scenario where Hajime,Fuyuhiko, nagito and hanamura find out their crush is a wanted phantom thief?
Tumblr media
This request sounds interesting in fact I love these types of requests I’ll get it done! This was so much fun to do! Sorry if the characters don’t match up to your personalities
Hajime,Fuyuhiko,Nagito and Teruteru find out their crush is a wanted phantom thief!
Hajime Hinata
Hajime only found out about your crime when someone told him, that one person was Kazuichi. Kazuichi only ever told him about your known phantom thief name and showed him a picture
Kazuichi stuck his phone right into Hajime’s face to make sure he got a good look and once he did he felt like his heart skipped a beat
He froze right on the spot, that looked eerily similar to his crush y/n he pinched himself to make sure he wasn’t a weird dream but nothing worked
“W - wow! They must’ve been pretty sly to get this far!” He stuttered at the start making his friend raise an eyebrow and then scratch his neck “so your supporting this weirdo?” Kazuichi asked making Hajime rethink what he just said
Once he had finally thought it through it was really awkward “that thief looks really similar to y/n!” Kazuichi looked down at his phone trying to shape your looks into it but no luck
“Hajime I think your just day dreaming there’s no way that they  look like y/n besides, why would they even do such a thing?”
The two headed home after their conversation and once Hajime got back he threw himself onto his bed
You seemed so innocent, he never expected your face to be on posters stuck on to various places around where he lived
Every time he looked at those posters he tried to think it as a coincidence but they look identical.
He decided to ask you about it, though deep down he knew that if he did ask you’d probably cover it up by some sort of excuse
‘Y- y/n! That phantom thief looks awfully similar to you, did you not notice that?”
He fiddled with his fingers looking down trying to avoid eye contact, just looking you in the eye makes him blush a little
“Hajime what are you talking about? I’m not, what makes you think that I wouldn’t commit a crime like that”
Hearing your sentence he immediately agreed being very apologetic of asking such a nonsense question
He tried his best to avoid everything related to the topic but the  idea of you committing such a thing  still haunts him
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu
Fuyuhiko was lounging around in  his bedroom watching TV when he decided to go check what’s happening on the news and if it involves the Kuzuryuu clan
But he was greeted by something much more surprising, they were apparently talking about a wanted phantom thief and when he glanced over to the picture that was given, it was strikingly similar to his crush, y/n
He thought of a few clan members and if they’ve ever looked like you but no, none of them did.
“For f**ks sake y/n? Doing a crime like this? Well that’s f**king bullsh*t” he cursed under his breath trying to forget about it but listening to their descriptions the thought couldn’t vanish from his mind
He changed the TV channel trying to get the thought out of his head but no matter how hard he tried the thought  still fluttered around in his head
He asked Peko about it and she too agreed that the thief looked very similar to you, she pretty much brushed it off and didn’t think to much of it
If Fuyuhiko ever went out he’d always hear people gossiping about the phantom thief, he really wanted to say something about it but he knew that others might actually call him crazy
Seeing y/n all the time makes him think about their innocence and if they really did commit a crime like that
“Hey y/n how come you look so similar to that weird motherf**king thief?” Of course he cursed which wasn’t a big surprise
He looked away while saying that too which made you a little curious why, him having a crush on you wasn’t something that came to his mind quickly
“To be honest I really don’t know maybe a little coincidence!” You say trying to cover up your crime and change the the conversation a little since you felt a little uncomfortable about the topic that was mentioned
He did think that was a lie though since the possibility of you looking identical to the thief was really impossible to him
A thought came into his head that he should probably leave you alone about this topic and agreed to change it, it wasn’t that easy to convince him about it since alot of cursing was involved in the process
Hearing him curse so many times you got used to it and didn’t mind when a bad word flew out of his mouth
The topic of your secret identity ended and it was a little awkward after since you two didn’t know what else to bring up
He’s still convinced that your true identity really is a criminal
Nagito Komaeda
Nagito was heading back to his home after a nice walk, it was around evening to it was a perfect time to stroll around without so much noise in his ear
While he was heading home he saw a poster stuck onto a great tree, the contents in that poster really caught his attention, there was a wanted phantom thief and it looked very similar to you
He tried going over on what you looked like and ticked off all the thief’s facial features
And yes indeed it was your picture printed on that poster except with a mask on it that covered up most of your features that seemed attractive to him
“It’s probably my trashy luck that y/n got them self into this situation, I think I should just go ahead and die of self loathing” insulting himself seemed to make him forget about the subject and carried on walking home
It seemed like your criminal identity was printed onto various posters no matter where he looked it seemed like those papers always shifted to where he was about to look
As always he blamed himself for every little poster he’s seen and tried to forget about the topic
He arrived home finally after that horrendous walk back home he was finally back into his shelter though he constantly thought about your crime and why you would’ve done it
“Was it me? Did my trashy self make y/n so mad that she snapped and committed something like this” obviously none of that was true but he kept on thinking about it for the rest of the night
When he woke up to a brand new shimmering day he got dressed and thought of maybe asking you about it and if you also knew about the phantom thief
He pretty much just saw you at the park relaxing by the pond and Nagito saw this as an opportunity to ask you about the phantom thief
“Hey y/n! Sorry if this is a dumb question and you might hate me afterwards but are you perhaps the phantom thief?”
You were a little confused but still tried to keep calm, you didn’t want him to know your true identity since it’ll change his view on you drastically
“Nagito I wouldn’t hate and I never will and no I’m not the phantom thief”
After saying that Nagito gave a little chuckle that made you a little confused
You decided to leave since it made you ever so slightly awkward, Nagito also left but that thought of your true identity couldn’t get out of his mind
Teruteru Hanamura
Teruteru went over to the groceries store to go get some ingredients for his newest recipe, though there were posters stuck onto the windows, he never thought to much of it and proceeded to buy whatever he needed
Once he had finished paying Teruteru grabbed the newspaper on the way back since he pretty much wanted to read it while he was eating his dish
When he finally arrived he started mixing the ingredients the kitchen was filled with a lovely scent which was nice to have.
“I Teruteru Hanamura the Ultimate Chef cooked another fine meal!” He praised himself while getting the table ready and placed the dish gently on the table and sat on his chair
As always the taste satisfied him and ate the dish while also pulling up the newspaper, skipping all unnecessary information and his eyes met on your picture with big bold words written below ‘WANTED’
Teruteru froze in surprise, he had dropped the paper and started messing with his hair sweat kept coming down his forehead to his chin it wasn’t really you right?
“Is that really y/n? I - I didn’t know she’d do something like this!” He croaked he really tried to think logically but nothing really came in his mind, how can someone else look identical to another?
He decided to invite you over to have a dinner with him of course a lot of stuttering was involved in the process and you couldn’t help but laugh playfully with his attempt of asking you
You happily agreed and went over to his the next day he arranged the table beautifully and a delicious looking dish placed carefully at the center a lovely scent floated around the kitchen and you were very excited to taste it
Teruteru sat you down and you two started to eat, as expected from the ultimate chef the food was appetizing and you enjoyed it to the fullest, Teruteru waited for the conversation to shift over to what he really wanted to discuss
“So y/n if it’s not much of a bother may I ask why do you look so s - similar to that phantom thief on the news? Don’t tell me you are” pretty surprised at his words you didn’t know how to reply, you didn’t want him to get a drastically different view on you
“Teruteru it’s most likely just a coincidence” he never payed attention to what you really said but the fact that you said his name already made him think about fantasies of you and him he sat there in silence just thinking about it until the awkward silence was too much so you snapped him out
‘Oh, oh yea it must’ve been sorry for asking that y/n lets talk about what we were originally discussing”
The rest of the dinner was fine and you two chit chatted about almost anything that came to mind, sadly these moments can’t last forever and you decided that you should start heading home and Teruteru agreed
He pretty much forgot about your true identity and kept re thinking about the dinner over and over again until he finally dozed down

Artbook data - Kokichi Ouma
Chapter 5 spoilers but frustratingly no chapter 6 spoilers.
Seiyuu’s comment: Hiro Shimono
As Ouma is an emotional rollercoaster of a character, he was very fun-yet-difficult to play. The impression I got from him is that he is really meek if you take away his strong wish to outwit everyone. At first I was worried he was going to be hated because he is the guy says the things no one wants to say, but I’m very happy to hear so many people find him interesting exactly because of that. Please keep a close eye on him!
Kodaka’s comment: The always sensational liar character
His name was made combining the grandious, big-sounding, mastermindish family name “Ouma”(king horse) with the very small-sounding given name “Kokichi”(small luck). His characterization was focused on duality and the name reflects that nature. The keyword on his initial design was simply “shota”, so we made him look like a cute and personable boy. However, we also wanted him to feel creepy, so we made his uniform as white as we could and gave his hair and scarf colors that contrast with this white. We thought of making him as aliar to add to the story’s main theme of lies and, speaking in Mafia terms, the double-agent role. And becaus of this, making him into a trickster stirring up the Trials was indispensable. Looking from this perspective, he would feel more in place as a Super High School Level Liar than a Supreme Leader. As he is the character who personifies this game’s central themes, I put more thought into him than into everyone else.
Besides, his design was popular when first revealed and he got a fanbase fitting of his part after the game was released. I have to thank Komatsuzaki, Ouma’s craziest sprites were completely his idea. “Crazy” is a word with lots of meanings, but Ouma’s case is completely different from Genocider Shou, Junko Enoshima or Nagito Komaeda. You could say his case is more of a line of thought taken to it’s logical conclusion. They’re not overdramatic expressions, they’re instead phisically impossible, or should I say, otherworldly expressions. I think their creepiness express his true nature to some extent. I had my second guesses about them as they are a little overblown and I thought this would be too much but I ultimately decided to keep them.
So far, the DanganRonpa series never had a character who just simply enjoyed the Trials, even if that was just a lie. That’s why we decided that for his final moments, we would have him naming himself as the ringleader and battle against the real ringleader. I managed to make chapter 5′s plot a seesaw back and forth of truths and lies, so I like it quite a lot. He’s not the kind of guy I would want to met in real life though.
Design notes:
Hairstyle: Moderately long black hair flowing to all directions, with the tips moving up and down. A hairstyle resulting of him playing with his hair. He seems not to care about his hair, but Ouma sometimes makes use of the shadows his bangs form to make himself look evil...
Scarf: Black and white spaces alternating exactly like a chessboard. The way its tones also contribute to his clown imagery make it a perfect fit for the incorrigible Ouma.
Buttons: Buttons, all of different colors. There a couple more hidden behind his scarf and it seems hard to close them all.
Ripped uniform: His eye-catching white uniform is in a misterious state, with the hem ripped and big parts of it are fixed with metal clips. The collar part is also completely gone. Is that the decadent fashion style of the evil supreme leaders?
Underwear: Ouma’s favorite pop underwear. He hides his playful heart and true fashion sense in a place no one can see. So vibrant colors hidden inside the black-and-white uniform.
Punk-style pants: An essential piece of punk fashion with bondage belts tied to both legs... Or so it seems, but that’s a lie, they are actually just fake belts sewed to thicker part of the thighs. It’s all about feeling fake here. Nishishi.
Slip-on shoes: Two-colored black and purple shoes that mixed simplicity with an expressive sense of fashion. Wearing 9/10 lenght pants and no socks is trending nowadays, you see. And of course, those shoes are very well polished by Toujou!
Favorite presents:
Electempest: A pop electro-water gun capable of continuously shooting water up to 10 meters for one entire minute. Undoubtly exciting for both grown adults or evil supreme leaders.
Hammock: Everyone’s favorite sleeping tool, the braided thing you hang between trees or pillars, famous for its relaxability. This should be able make Ouma feel like a child again and enjoy himself.
Hated present:
Oil for Robots: Oil used for robot construction, not maintenance. If he ever feels like doing Ki-bo the kind favor of helping his maintenance, it would be a problem to let him have that.
Key phrases:
The Supreme Leader Covered in Lies: As the supreme of an evil secret society that claims to have over 10 thousand members, Ouma was chosen as a Super High School Level talented student. Not unlike his claim of being evil, his speeches and action are always teasing and scaring his friends, plunging them in fear whenever they are feeling too confortable and overall messing around with them. Only someone as plastered in lies as Ouma could look at this killing game enforced by Monokuma with cruel rules like “only someone who commits a perfect crime can graduate” and call it “not boring”. He is heavily burdened with his suppposedly enormous organization that controls the mafia, politicians, businessmen and has underlings in the White House, the Kremlin, Wall Street, City of London and even Kabuto-chou. Does it make sense that he can laugh even when his is life is being threatened?!
Games Should Only Be Played on Hard Mode!?: Using the “Run” command is forbidden and “Continue”s even more. He wants his enemies to be as strong as they can and figure his way out solid lockdowns. Ouma talks about real through references to the videogames he’s been playing his whole life. He came up an original theory that enjoying the extreme thrill of cornering yourself with all exits sealed is the definition of fun. He thinks of even the killing game he has been forced into as life-threatening entertainment. That’s exactly why everyone assumes his line of thought is not just abiding by the told rules, but taking the most enjoyable outcome of outwiting both his friends and Monokuma alike... The nerves of steel necessary to constantly dismiss the abnormal situation with the simple catchphrase “It’s less boring this way” are what you need to play life on Hard Mode!
Lockpicking Victims: One of the few(?) non-lies that come out of Ouma’s mouth: his “evil supreme leader-ish” ability to pick locks. When his friends watch over his actions under the lens of suspicion, he proves the truth by picking a cilinder lock right in front of them. We know it’s an useful skill to have and not something a regular high-school student wouldn’t need, but don’t you think that suits a small-time criminal better than an evil supreme leader?!
Main Quotes:
“Half of my lies are made out of kindness": The truth will not always spare all living beings from suffering. If you say some people were saved by lies, many will agree. But why does this sound so fishy when its by our matchless liar Ouma?! To completely decieve a person with sugar-coated words and short-lived joy is the truest form of terror... After pulling off many overblown lies just to tease, he’s gotta have a lot of nerve to go around saying half of them are kind!?
“Lies have infinite possibilities, you know?“: Ouma’s Trial method involves frequently toying with his friends with lies and driving the accused into dangerous corners. However, unlike the only one cruel truth, lies have infinite possibility, even ones that can save people. Ouma is an expert on this subject. Despite all his friends claiming that lying for no reason when their lifes are on the line is begging to be killed, some who enjoys the risk wouldn’t pull any punches. Is he serious about this? Is it bluff? The Super High School Level Supreme Leader cares not for such questions.
“Common sense, le sens commun, sentido comun, huh... I wonder who decides what gets to be common sense?“: Starting from the way he calls himself the supreme leader of an evil organization, Ouma is quite scenical when talking about his past deeds and crime plans. His stories are so away from common sense that even Akamatsu, the character defined by wanting to believe in everyone, is always taking him with a grain of salt. “I wonder if what you consider ‘right’ on your definition of ‘common sense’ is the same everyone else considers ‘right’?, he says. Sounds legit but not when Ouma is the one saying it!? Akamatsu’s lack of patience for his drivel is so relatable.
Final comment: Lying is like breathing to Ouma and that makes him an extreme entertainer who pours all his energy into stirring up his friends. He is giving his all so that no day is ever boring!
