Time for more rambling from me, since I can’t post these thoughts anywhere else
Having a lot of feelings about being lonely, wanting a partner, etc. So I’m trying out Facebook dating, simply because most of the features are simpler than other sites and I don’t really want to get sucked into Tinder or some other app. But people seem to be all the same no matter what platform you’re on. Most don’t bother to read the bio description, so I wonder what even is the point of having one. And even when I try to message first and keep up an interesting conversation I often get nothing in return. So many either don’t know how to hold a conversation, or they don’t reply in the first place. Why match with me if you don’t want to talk to me? Why even be on a dating site/app/whatever if you’re not going to try to make a connection in the messages?
It feels like I’m trying to find a needle in a haystack, but the haystack is as big as the whole world. Even when I find someone attractive, and think of an interesting opener to message them first with, and we have things in common, I’m left trying to carry the whole conversation on my own. Or I get people messaging me being overly pushy, wanting me to reply with the speed of light, or add them on some other app (like Snapchat), and then get upset and stop talking to me if I don’t
And it’s hard trying to make connections in everyday life because I often don’t have time/ability to go out and do fun things and meet people. Most people I see are through work, and you’re probably not looking for a date when you come to an ER. Not to mention I now live in one of the most active, outdoorsy areas and yet I am very much an indoor person (and my chronic pain/disability issues make it hard for me to do many things), so that knocks out a good chunk of potential matches right there. I’m also a chubby person, I know what I look like, and I know what most people consider to be attractive (and I know that it isn’t me). I don’t fault anyone for having preferences. But at some point I start to wonder if there’s something wrong with me personally, since pretty much every other overweight person I know has a partner and they’re very happy. How is it everyone around me can get dates/relationships so easily and I’m still struggling my whole life?
I’m having a time of things right now, and it’s not fun

hiii im sure you’ve answered this before but in regards to your twst x Pokémon, how do you choose which Pokémon go give to the cast?? really curious since your choices are unique :O
unique in a good way, I hope? 😅 (jk jk I haven't come across too many pokemon AUs, so I was going in without preconceptions, I guess!) I was sorta aiming somewhere between doing, like, a full AU with internal consistency and everything, and just picking entirely based on theme/character, so maybe that's why! basically I just set some arbitrary rules (no legendaries/no repeats/evo stages based on year) and then went on ~vibes~. a couple were also suggestions (thank you guys!) and last-minute decisions, so it was a bit of a delightful mess of ideas!
my one regret is that I should have given Riddle a Togedemaru after all. ...you know what, he can have one now, why not

"Alright, here we go!" The bartender announces, leaning up to place the drinks on the bar.
"That's one whiskey, neat—" He says, sliding the lowball cocktail glass with amber liquid in front of Eddie.
"—And one Whammin' Slammin' Booty-Bangin' Pina Colada."
He places the extravagant cocktail in front of Steve. It's decorated to the nines with a straw, an umbrella, a piece of pineapple, and a little bit of tinsel on a toothpick. A whole party decoration in a drink.
"You guys have a good night." The bartender says warmly, already moving down the bar to tend to other customers.
Eddie stares down at the whiskey in the glass before him and pouts a little. Beside him and watching his boyfriend closely, Steve rolls his eyes.
"Oh, quit being dramatic," Steve says, sliding the cocktail across the bar so it's in front of Eddie, who had ordered it. He steals the glass of whiskey back at the same time.
"It happens every time."
"It happens most times."
"That isn't much better!" Eddie protests, even as he leans down and takes a long sip from the straw while they both get to their feet and leave the bar. Steve's hunting for a table they can snag, his eyes narrowed in focus. Eddie follows him blindly, his cocktail cupped in both hands.
"I'm serious, Steve! What is it about this adorable face—" He says, gesturing to himself, barely letting go of the straw to talk. It doesn't seem to faze him that Steve doesn't even glance back. "—Says I don't want to enjoy a Whammin' Bammin' Big Booty Colada?"
Steve comes to a stop, pausing his search for a moment to look back at Eddie. His expression seems unimpressed on the surface but Eddie can see his lips twitching up at the corners.
"We've had this conversation too many times, babe." He sighs halfheartedly and takes a quick sip of his own whiskey, eyes casting back out across the bar. "You have scary dog energy, you know this. You specifically dress like this on purpose."
Eddie picks up the pineapple wedged on the edge of his glass and bites into it, sending it down with another sip of his cocktail as Steve leads them further into the back of the bar. He finally spots a spare empty table.
"C'mon, I think I found one." Steve urges, one hand snaking back to make sure Eddie's following.
"Is it a crime to wish to not fall victim to stereotypes?" Eddie prattles on, following Steve duly by slipping his hand into Steve's outstretched one. His cocktail wobbles precariously as he takes another gulp.
"Like when that waitress gave me your awful black coffee! And you got my delicious delicacy that I paid extra hard-earned money for..."

[Image description: Three photos of a knitted red dragon plush. End description.]
Made my very own tiny dungeon meshi dragon plush, that’s based on the version that only appears in the very last chapter for five pages and then is never seen again. I think it turned out pretty well.
I used this pattern to make it with some minor tweaks to the body, tails and legs and then just made some tiny cones for the horns at the end. If anyone would be intersted I might post the alterations and where to apply them but go check out the original pattern! I stuffed it both with acylic stuffing but also some plastic pellets for a bit of extra weight. The eyes are done with french knots.
Going to be adding manga spoilers below the read more with pictures of what I tried to get it to look like.
