Helping a small apple

Notes: Reader is an upperclassman and is taller than Epel, 

Leaping to the nearby tree branch you held on tight to prevent falling off the large tree. With feeling around with your feet, you looked for a stable position. Once you had gotten into a stable position you leaned back against the cold bark of the tree. Feeling the cool breeze gently pass by as you watch the madness of the school.

There was always something interesting happening somewhere and you leapt from tree to tree to get there. If there weren’t any trees you simply walked on top of the building from other hidden places up high. Today you were looking at Epel who was collecting apples from the back of the school. Much to your surprise Epel was faster at using a broom than you had been when you were a first year.

Thinking to yourself at how much time had passed since then you sighed to yourself. In one singular motion you swiftly jumped down from the tree onto the sea of grass. Creeping onto Epel you offered to help the first year.

You: Tell me, can I help you with that *points to the apples in a basket* I heard the more the better~

Nodding to himself Epel welcomed you to help him pick the remaining apples needed for whatever he was doing.

Epel: Oh, but what were you doing back here? Were you hunting for others like Rook? You: Hunting? That’s a naughty word Epel, I prefer to say observe like one does towards something that’s caught their eye. Epel: Observing… so you’re saying I caught your eye because of what I was doing? You: Correct! Say, what were you going to do with all these apples? Care to share with your dear upperclassman? Epel: Well, I like to peel and carve these apples in my freetime, so I needed to gather some more. You: I see, dismantling the natural shape of the apple to make art. How wonderful~ I would like to see that for myself. But what do you do with the apple once you’re done dismantling it? Epel: Most of the time I just cut it for myself to eat, sometimes I’ll make other apple dishes with them.

Soon the two of you completed your task at hand and you being the kind upperclassman carried the apples back with Epel. Throughout the walk back you had questioned Epel on his apple knowledge since you knew his background. Although each question had been rapid fire he never wavered in answering you. Not to mention how enlightened he looked as talked about the apples and his hometown. You just couldn’t stop yourself from seeing the happy first year, it reminded you of a small animal. Without thinking you blurted out your inner thoughts to Epel who had been close to reaching his dorm.

You: Y’know I’ve been thinking, but you’re like an apple Epel. Strong and durable, but also quite cute.

Epel came to a stop, he dropped his box of apples, glancing at Epel you did the same concerned about the situation. Creeping closer to you, Epel looked you dead in the eyes and said in rather annoyed voice,

Epel: Look here, there’s no way in hell I’m cute like tha– why are you laughing at me? Don’t smile like that! You: Haha~ I’m sorry you just reminded me of a small animal that’s irritated because it’s being ignored. As I thought, you truly are cute like one~ *pats his head* Epel: You’ve got some nerve petting me like that..! You: Yes, yes, I’m very sorry Epel. *still laughing to yourself*

Knowing that it wasn’t something too major left you relieved, so you picked up the box once more. Epel wasn’t quite upset for some time since he detested being called cute by anyone, also the head pat might have pulled a switch.

Idea time:

Bro, I get sick of seeing everyone making reader in a twst fic Yuu. I get it Grim is cute and you play Yuu in the game. However, there are three other dorms without a first year to their motley crew. I'd mainly love to write a reader that's a first year in Scarabia or Octanivelle but Ignihyde works too.

Also, what would be cool is reader from another world, but they died in the original world and got reincarnated with powers (and is even another species). They only remember that they died when they make eye contact with Yuuken, and kinda have an identity crisis.

Also, female readers are great and all but I'm nonbinary and appreciate a good gender-neutral fic. I could write male but that's a hard thing to do since I'm AFAB. I'd be willing to compromise and make a trans masc reader. I'll also do female reader and male reader. However, I'd rather do a nonbinary reader that is feminine or masculine (androgynous nonbinary gets boring too, like men and women can be androgynous looking and nonbinary people can be feminine or masculine presenting, not fitting the gender binary is the whole fucking point)

These ideas would probably be multi part fics and a lot of this is rambling, but I think Twisted Wonderland is so unique there's a billion possibilities. For example, female students aren't allowed but you're the constant companion of Idia and the Shroud family paid to have you there too (Reader would be based off of Megara and also Crowley is a greedy bastard). Or Reader is a rambunctious parrot beastman who joins Scarabia and bonds hard with Jamil (could really feed Jamil's jealousy complex to see you interacting with others (especially Kalim)). Or reader could be a smaller shark who's a kindhearted member of Octanivelle (contrast to the terrors that are the Leech Twins and the slime ball that's Azul).

Just throwing some ideas around.

Also, I'd eat my foot to write some genderbent twisted, as I can see how some individuals would change slightly personality wise (Riddle would be harsher being the gender of the Queen of Hearts, Epel's a tomboy or trans masc, Leona is a boss bitch. Malleus being even taller and scarier (female lizards are often bigger than males), MILF Lillia )

Slide With Me

SUMMARY: Before returning to NRC you show curiosity to know what it's like to ride one of those racing sleds. All the boys offer to show you, inviting you to slide with them. You just need to choose with one you'd like to slide with.

Are you sure you want to choose him? Because Octavinelle's boys don't do anything without a deal. Maybe you made one with him without even realizing. Considering how smooth he is with words. Or maybe he'll remind you of this favour he did you when he asks you to accompany him on a hike up a mountain and you hesitate to say yes.

“You should go on front of me.” He will tell you “It will be easier to keep you safe if I am able to see you and if I have my arms by your side. That and, I am sure I'll assume correctly that you would like to enjoy the view.”

When cornering, you'll probably lose your balance and bump in his arms. And feel them around you without taking the hands off the handlebar, like a seat belt. “Are you well?” He’ll check. “Don't fret.I am able to keep my attention both on the mountain and on you. Fu fu.”

“Would you also be interested to know what it's like to jump over a ravine?” He will ask you if you’re having fun.

If you say no or your no sure: “This might be your only chance, you know? And I already jumped it once. I can assure your safety. I would never let you get hurt.” And if you still keep saying no: “*Sigh* Your lack of trust hurts me.” Not really. “But I'll respect your wishes.” He secretly enjoys messing up with you, especially when your afraid of something. But he won't go any further than teasing you.

If you say yes or you were not sure but decided to trust him on this: “Fu fu, I'll make sure you don't regret your decision.” He’ll tell you, amused. He loves it when your down for crazy things. He would get even closer to you, his abdomen on your lower back and his chest on your shoulders and head. If his arms were your seat belt, his torso was the back of your chair. He will not let you get hurt.

His stuffed deer will shameless asking you for petting after the ride. It gently bumps its head on your hip, as if trying to poke you with its rods, but since these are plush they bend when they go against you. “I thinks this is its way of asking for payment for the ride.” Jade deduces.

HIM? Why are you choosing him? He just offered to be polite, you know? Or at least that what he want everybody to think.

When you guys get far enough away from the others, as you get ready to start the ride: “Don't think I don't know why you chose me.” He tells you. But despite your little blush: “You chose me because I have the best racing plush. Smart move.”

“What, no! I choose you for you!” You realize you haven't spoken in your head and cover your mouth with your gloved hand. Both your cheeks and the ends of Idia's hair turned pink. “Y-your bear. Yes, I choose you for your bear, you're right!” You say completely unconvincing. “Should we start the ride now?” Idia nods, embarrassed and flattered at the same time, and finishes preparing the sleigh.

He will suggest you to go in front of him. Since he's the tallest and the expert (although he's only been doing this for a day or two) the safest formation is for the noob going on front of him. What? This is his way to say he cares about you. He doesn't care for other noobs. “Are you sulking because I'm calling you a noob? But you are. Fine, fine, I'll stop.”

He will not go to hard on you. He knows going to hard on a player that is just starting would make them hate a game they could love. The same with the ride. Both are supposed to be fun.

When cornering, you'll probably lose your balance and bump in his arms. And hear one of his "Hiep!" while he tries to protect you with his arms without taking the hands off the handlebar. You know when you almost drop your phone and suddenly realize how precious it is to you? That’s what that "Hiep!" meant.

If you want to go faster, he'll be happy to speed up. He knows that feeling. When you're liking a game so much you want to try the next difficulty. But he will NOT jump over that ravine again. Are you crazy?

His stuffed bear is shy but, after the ride, it will come close to you and nudge your hand with his nose to ask for petting.

HA! Of course you would choose him! Why choose a human... or merman turned into human, when one of your options is a (half) fay young man train by none other than Lilia Vanrouge to be a body-guard of none other than the Greates Malleus Draconia? Looks like your not dumb for a human.

“I hope you are up for the ride, human.” He’ll tell you with his smug smile “But nonetheless you should go on the front. It will be safer. That way, if your weak hands slip off the handlebar you will not pass through me.”

When cornering, you'll probably lose your balance and bump in his arms. But you'll realize he's not just using his arms to protect you. He's practically embrace you like the bodyguard he is protecting you from any danger that may come towards you. Despite his smug attitude, deep down he is taking his job of protecting you during the ride as serious as if he was protecting Malleus himself.

If he hears your laughs of fun during the ride, he will smile (since you can't see him), happy that you're having such fun with him. He'll not admit he was also having fun with you.

If you ask him if you two could jump the ravine like they did in the race, he’ll be surprised but say: “Ha Ha Ha! You sure have a dangerous amount of courage for your own good. Are you sure you can handle such thing, human?” you confirm “So get ready, because now I will not back down! And neither will I allowed you to!”

Don't be surprised if he ends up taking one of his hands off the handlebar to wrap it around your waist and make sure you don't come off the sled. The other arm exerting as much force to stay steady as when he trains with heavy weights.

After the ride, Squirshie will come up to you and stick out his chest as if proud of his work during the ride. It reminded you of Grim for a moment. When you bend down and pat him on the head, he recoils. To then approach again as if asking you to do that again.

YES! You choose him! Um... I mean, of course you choose him. after all, he is the most experienced at sledding. He he.

“I'm so happy you interested in sledding.” He'll tell you as you two approach his sleigh to prepare for the ride. “Despite the tension because of the race,I'm glad we still could show you how fun it is. I'm gonna give you the ride of your life!"

It will hurt his pride, but he will tell you to go behind him since you're taller. Your safety is way more important than his pride. “You must firmly grip the handlebar. But, um, you know, if you feel safer holding on to me, feel free to do so.”

If you choose to holding on to him, please don't mention the fact that his heart feels like is racing the Harveston Sledathon all over again.

When cornering, you'll probably lose your balance and and cling even tighter to him. This is the closest you've ever been to each other. Your chin is probably on his shoulder by now. “You’re okay?” he will ask whenever he feels you tighter your embrace. But don't think he isn't blushing every time this happens.

He'll ask if you want to jump the ravine. If you say no: “He he he. Don't worry. I was just kidding.”

If you say yes: “WHA-?! I was joking!” if you say you were joking as well, he will sigh with relief. If you say that now you want to do it. He'll need a minute to think about it. The last thing he wants is to put you in danger. But he understands you. In your position he would probably ask for the same thing. “Okay, if you really want to do this DO NOT let go of me! Don't even worry if you're hurting me. Hold on the tightest you can if you need, okay?”

Truth be told, he’s loving it! That shows how much you trust him to keep you safe even on a dangerous thing like that. And he won't let you doubt for a second that he won't be able to!

After the ride, his stuffed rabbit will start bouncing around you and wagging his little tail. And for some reason, I imagine if you pet him, he'll start tapping one of his hind legs on the ground. Like Thumper from Bambi. “Well that's new.” Epel will say, surprised.

- I feel like he would be conscious of how he looks and his height but doesn't act too worked up over it, so if his partner is hella tall then he probably won't be bothered much unless they tease him about it. However if his partner is both tall and physically strong then he'll be very impressed at their strength instead! Probably asking things like what's their training methods or things like how to improve your muscles, etc. - He probably thinks it's a bit troublesome that he gotta look up to you every time you two are chatting, but as long as there's no teasing at him then he won't pay attention to that much, he won't admit he's secretly jealous of your height though... Okay, he will be, just a little bit, but afterward he just thinks about how cool you are when you always appear a head taller than most people in school and how it's so easy to spot you among the crowd. He seriously wants to be cool like you! - Don't treat him like he's a small, frail boy who needs help every time, that's the top thing on the "Absolute no" list for Epel. Even when you have an advantage in height, so what? He won't let that be a thing for you to make fun of him! In fact, it just gets him even more fired up to work himself better so he can catch up to you quickly! He has a lot of room to grow and he definitely won't give up either. - He definitely boasts about how cool his partner is or how tall they are to others with a proud look on his face. He is lucky for sure to have such an amazing partner like you, no one would ever be able to look down on you (in both ways) and that's what he loves to see! You're so strong and cool... sorry, did he already say that? - Despite being fairly short, I think Lilia never gets bothered in the slightest mainly because he can teleport or float in the air like a bat he is. So even if his partner is insanely tall, he can just float up to their eye level with ease and even use their shoulders for leaning support. (he's just being the silly he is yknow) - But he would be fairly impressed for sure with how tall you're as you easily stand out in the crowd with your head above others or how easily it is to spot you. He thinks it's cool how humans can be so tall but also so short, it's really fascinating for a fae like him! - He can easily take books from the highest shelf or reach out for that one apple hanging on the tree, but sometimes, this guy would start acting like the tease he is and ask you to get it for him. "But you can just float?" "Hoho, but I'm feeling like walking today though~" and just land on the ground so casually like the prankster he is... as you just sigh and get the thing he requested with ease while the fae chuckles in the background. - He loves surprises, so don't question it if he suddenly floats up and kisses you out of nowhere when you expect it the least. That look of pure shock on your face is just priceless for him, peace and quiet is not an option if you're Lilia's partner no matter how tall you're. He definitely lives long enough to seen and talk to people that are as tall or even taller than you, so he knows how to handle it perfectly or even startle them back. - He also loves messing around, so he'll just appears out of nowhere, his body upside down as you got so startled you nearly froze when your eyes meet each other, and he laughs, like a lot. He just loves it when he can throw you off with such remarks and randomness, just because you're a head taller doesn't mean he can't scare you~ - You can try and surprise him back, maybe when he was being a bit too absorbed into chatting with you about something and you lean in, face inches away from his as both of you just stare at each other for a good second before you lean away and ask him to continue. Believe it or not, Lilia was thrilled at that attempt he ended up laughing like an idiot for a good minute, oh silly you, do that again next time! He'll only end up fascinated by you even more if you act like that, so surprising yet so exciting~

🌹 Riddle

- He's very conscious of his height and could easily get angry or irritated at the slight mention of it, so I think he would feel even more conscious if his partner is a head taller than him. He always wanted to be the cool, reliable type of boyfriend in his partner's eyes, but to think now they're the taller one, a head taller even... He is not bothered at all. Not at all! - But that doesn't stop him from wanting his partner to depend on him too, considering he's still an honor student and a housewarden, he'll try to look past the height difference between you two and act like a reliable boyfriend and offer to help you out whether with your study or other things. He knows having a tall height has an advantage like be able to reach for high shelves easily, and whenever you do so, he just tries to not get flustered over it and thanks you properly... Don't worry, he's just being a bit shy~ - He hopes that his partner, being insanely tall, doesn't make fun of his height or mention it too often. He'll try to let it slide if you bring it up in a way that doesn't sound irritating to him, he might easily get upset but he always tries his best to not get unreasonably angry at you, that's the last thing he wants after all. - Whenever you two sit next to each other and when he can easily reach your face better, he will take it as a chance to appear more "boyfriend-like" to you... not that he already isn't one, but sometimes he can't help but wish he could reach your face easier so he can kiss them or cup your face better. Occasionally, he would even lend his shoulder for you to lean on too, not only does he feel like he's doing a good job being your partner but also feels taller too somewhat... That's a secret he'll never tell you though. If only he could be as tall as you... but rest assured, he still has more room to grow. (Or at least that's what he likes to believe) - You can be a bit of a tease by leaning down and randomly giving him a kiss, he'll be as red as his hair with those gray eyes looking all shocked! He probably scolds you to not do that so suddenly the next time but don't worry, he's not mad at all~

- He's probably the one that's the most unbothered in this list since he doesn't care for things like height or appearance in general, but he'll definitely be impressed at how tall his partner is and shows it outwardly, he never holds back when it comes to compliments! - Though I think he'll love having a tall partner too as he can ask them to help him reach high shelves or just be able to spot them so easily in the crowd is enough to make him happy! Just imagine a cheery and bright Kalim running towards you from miles away while waving at you with the way your head pops up in a crowd, that would definitely bring a smile to your face for sure!! - He also isn't too conscious of his height or think too much about it, he is pretty carefree overall so it won't be at the top of his head! However, due to your height difference it would be a bit troublesome when he wants to kiss you but he can't... so he came up with a solution to jump up for that! And don't underestimate him, he's good at jumping despite his short height! (As he bounces up the air and you just so happen to lean down, both of your heads collide... Jamil questioned why both of you got a bump with a worrying look but neither of you explained it truthfully which only raised his suspicion even further... Don't tell him okay?) - Piggyback ride? Piggyback ride! Because of your insanely tall height, you definitely can lift him up and he is excited to say the least! He loves being carried around! So whenever he can wrap his arms around you as you carry him and run around the campus, he'll have a really big, happy grin on his face. Either that or you two do a jump challenge of whoever can reach that tree branch better (even though you know it's a surefire win for you) and the winner gets a free coconut juice! Kalim definitely tried his best to win every time despite his short height, and even when he lost he never appeared sad and the total opposite instead, he just has so much fun being around someone cool like you! - He also loves carrying others too, and he would also do the same to you despite your insane height. Similar to Epel, although you keep telling him it's fine but how can you say no after he give you that cute grin full of sunshine... so you just so happen to say yes, and as enthusiastic as he is, he quickly swoops you up off the ground, see, he definitely can carry you with ease! ...And it doesn't last for long as you both fall over to the ground. He felt bad for dropping you like that and quickly apologize before giving you a big grin and a cheek kiss as an apology gift, so cheeky and adorable of him~

!! CHAPTER 7 / DIASOMNIA ARC SPOILERS !!

First dream we land is Epel's dream, let's get going:

So the gang land in a street in NRC where the Great Seven are located. Idia assists the group through his tablet and everything seems to be normal, but they still don't know whose dream this is.

Until we see this

(They really made the memes a reality in the worst way possible (affectionate). i love and hate twst for this lmao)

Let's just say, the entire group is absolutely traumatized. Like legit Grim said Buff Epel is taller than Jack 😭. Even Sebek was scared when he called for him. Then Grim asked Epel if he was supposed to be shorter, but Epel doesn't remember much. All that he knows was that when he came to NRC, he was already taller than most of the students.

Sebek also remembers that Epel is shorter than Lilia, in which Epel remembers that he admired how he play an active role together with Malleus even though he's a short king. Then, he remembers Lilia's advice "Mage strength isn't related to their size".

Grim's trying to make Epel remember everything from the events of Book 6, where he was the first one to save him. Grim thought that Epel was cool at that time.

That's when Epel learns the truth, that accepting himself for his strengths and role as the poison apple is what made him stronger. This causes Epel to wake up, but because of that fakes of Rook and Vil proceed to try and stop them. But before they fight, the gang has to do their magical girl transformation (I keep giggling at this)

Epel manages to trap the fakes with "Sleep Kiss". Once they were done, Epel tells the gang that they showed his uncool side. But Silver disagrees, saying that only people who are strog-willed can fight the darkness. Gotta mention that Epel is also horrified of his buff version. Sebek says that he thought Epel was feeble, but he could fight; and he managed to develop his unique magic. Epel said that success rate was around 70-80% but he managed to do it, and Sebek got a bit jealous. Of course, Silver teased Sebek not to lose and Sebek doesn't need to be told twice about that.

So we get an update of the plan from Idia, where he said that involves creating fake NPCs to fool Malleus into thinking that dreamer is still there but in reality they have already escaped. So, Idia sends out invitations to anyone who could possible be "awake"

In the end, Epel tags a long with us as we go to another dream...

Ok finished Epel's dream today, I'll be doing Rook's dream and Vil's dream tomorrow since it's already late in the evening as I'm writing this so yeah have fun guys ❤️❤️❤️

It was discussed in one of the posts (Riddle!Yutu), how does Yutu look like?🤔 I thought he would bear more resemblance with Yuu, so everyone wouldn't quickly (or immediately with some fathers) make conclusions. Does he have beastmen characteristics if his dad's from Savannaclaw? Does he inherit Idia's hair? Can he transform into octopus/eel/dragon form? You should be very proud of yourself annon I am having a lot of fun with this! The Magical Marshall's are a government organization so the image of Yuu charging a fed with a slipper gave me a laugh, but yes they should. How dare they hurt Yutu ୧(๑•̀ᗝ•́)૭

Hand slipped. Anyway Yutu wears a pretty big sweatshirt sweater dress type thing that obscures a lot of his facial features though I did briefly play with the idea of him wearing a sort of mask similar to an FFXIV ash mask:

The justification was that the air in the future timeline! Twisted Wonderland was so polluted by blot and Yutu was so used to breathing it he needed some magical assistance... I think I also wrote some bullshit about the mask applying a glamour to Yutu so he didn't need to wear the big sweatshirt, but I feel like the mask would be more suspicious than just some guy who wants to keep his hood up.

As for those unique features, yes. With the exception of Malleus! Yutu, all of the non human Yutus found themselves transforming into an entirely different species when they came through the mirror into Twisted Wonderland. It was an extremely painful experience, imagine having your parent basically die in your arms and the next thing you know you are turning into a giant pacific octopus on the floor of a castle in front of a bunch of people. Yutu should be rewarded for not losing his shit then and there. The beastmen Yutus needed some time to adjust to having stronger hearing and senses of smell, the merfolk Yutus basically missed the first few months of magic education getting used to their merfolk forms, and Yutu Shroud had his hair instantly set itself on fire and had a massive panic attack. The beastmen Yutus have to keep their extra features tucked underneath their hoodie, which is very frustrating for Jack! Yutu who has a lot of floof that suddenly has nowhere to go. Lilia! and Sebek! Yutu don't have any noticeable appearance differences (unless you like the thought of him having Sebek's hair color), but I do like the idea of their teeth getting sharper. I prefer to leave a lot of Yutu's appearance up to the reader, but I had a super clear picture of Riddle! and Epel! Yutu as being short, and the more I think about the merfolk... I see Floyd! Yutu as being a sort of middle ground between his parents's height and Jade! Yutu as being about as tall as his dad. Oh and Azul! Yutu is taller than his dad, he is a bulky boy.

Now. Malleus! Yutu. So dragon fae hatch from eggs that can only be created out of love and constantly need to receive magic from their loving parent. That clearly didn't happen with Yutu, so I don't think he can transform into a dragon. He is still clearly inhuman, he has Malleus's eyes and ages much more slowly than other humans, even in your world he looked really young for his age. Think of Malleus! Yutu as sort of playing by half-elf rules, he's going to be living for hundreds of years and as he gets older he will grow tiny horns and some scales around them. He is also the strongest of the Yutus magically speaking, he did get some love from his father after all.

I did have a thought of sorts about the whole egg thing... I mentioned before that I had played with the idea of giving certain Yutu's siblings, and while I am still uncertain of the others I can see Malleus! Yutu having a twin of sorts who did hatch out of an egg, who can transform into a dragon, and who would have been left behind in Twisted Wonderland. I have so many ideas I wrote a lot of them down but this au is already so complicated I don't know if I want to add her. I do really like it though...

It's years past your NRC days when you see Jack again. Slightly taller, more mature, and happier than you'd ever seen him before. With someone you'd never seen before. You shrink back into the booth of your table and watch as the wolf beastman takes a seat nearby, close enough that you can see them, but angled in a way that makes it harder for them to see you. You don't want to watch them, you don't want to trap yourself in the ever growing forest of misery you'd planted since the day you left him. You want to eat your dinner in peace, alone. But the way the corners of his eyes crinkle when he smiles shoots you with the same arrow you'd gotten hit by far too long ago.

And again, you see him.

The him who gave you flowers every other day and opened every door for you. The him who loved running with you and listening to you rant about whatever caught your eye. The him that loved you.

You take the flowers with a soft giggle and push yourself on your tiptoes in order to kiss his cheek. You're sure you're blushing as hard as he is, if not harder. "Thank you, Jack. I like you too." Your words push the pressure off his shoulders and his smile widens. Neither of you have really had romantic relationships before, but you think you can work it out with him.

He offers to take you out on your very first date to the movies. You two choose a stupid romcom filled to the brim with misunderstandings that eventually led to the leads breaking up at the end.

If only you'd know then.

You take him to your favorite place afterwards for dinner. He orders your favorite pasta dish and you try something new on the menu recommended by your waiter. You tease him to try that spaghetti scene from the movie, but the pasta breaks before you two can kiss. You laugh it off and finish dinner. It's raining really heavily when you two need to get back to campus, but Jack, ever the gentleman, gives you his coat to use as an umbrella and you run back to the castle soaking wet because of course his coat couldn't ward it all off. But you smile, and he smiles back, and you leave him with one final kiss before heading to your respective mirrors.

Epel: I've made a ton of stews and other dishes like it back home, so I think I might be able to do this!

Ghost Chef: Alright, then let's get started. First, let's cut up the ingredients.

Ghost Chef: Make sure to cut each one up evenly into bite-sized pieces. First let's tackle the potatoes.

Epel: Got it! They've already been well washed, so I'll leave the skin on.

Ghost Chef: Oho, not bad. Only, these are a little too large to be considered bite-sized…

Epel: Eh!? Oh, now that you mention it, I guess the stuff in the stew we eat here in the cafeteria is a bit smaller…

Epel: We usually have super chunky fillings in the stew back home, so I just chopped it up thinking of that.

Ghost Chef: I see. Well, if we cut them in half once more, they'll be a little too small… Let's just cut the other ingredients so they match the potatoes then.

[Crewel was called to Ramshacke, it just so happened that Vil, Rook, and Epel were on their way there too. When they arrived, they found that Darius had a growth spurt overnight - he was now the same height as Marcus, who was 6 Feet & 5 Inches; making him 2 inches taller than Vil. In addition, his physique was slightly more sculpted; showing his muscles]

Darius (Wearing Pajama Pants but no shirt) (His Voice Slightly Deeper): What in the name of the Seven happened to me?

Marcus: I think you just had a growth spurt, Darius.

Yuu (Looking up at Darius): But why so tall?

Marcus: It could be the after-effect of those smoothies he makes.

Darius (Folds his arms over his chest): Now, I'm gonna have to retake my measurements and make new clothes.

[Vil gets in Darius' Face, having to now look up into his lover's eyes.]

Darius (Blushing): I...Is something wrong, My Queen?

Vil: .... by the seven....

This takes place during the "Glorious Masquerade"event. This can be read as a one shot or even a full length work. Each part connects and can be its own beginning. I hope you all enjoy these.

The fourth person, to join the work is Silver. The Third was Sebek. The second one was Deuce. The very first was Epel (Each part can be read there if you click on their names.)

In comparison to Sebek’s proposal, Silver’s was more charming. His voice was soft and his words were sincere.  Silver had a more knightley demeanor than Sebek whereas Sebek had the strength and determination as a knight. Silver often spoke soft and gentle while Sebeks voice boomed like thunder and spoke harshly. Silver showed true chivalry when it came to being a knight.

Renmu accepted his proposal. How could he not when this was the stuff of fairy tales. He was being asked to dance by another knight. How could he refuse such an offer? If he could go home, he would brag about how he got to dance with knights and royals just to see their faces, well, if he had friends or people that cared back home. That was the very reason why he never wanted to go back. 

Silver wasn’t significantly taller than the Prefect which made it easier for them to dance. 

Everyone around them was in sync. Some go clockwise and the others counter clockwise. Despite that, it created a unique display. It was mesmerizing, it was a swirling blur of colors, capes, capelets, and cloaks, fluttering and dancing around them, creating an asymmetrical pattern when viewed above or afar. 

“It's a Briar Waltz. It's very Similar to a Queendom Waltz.” Silver explained. “It's just slower. So peaceful.”

The dance started out as a waltz but it was a lot slower. Instead of the three steps, rise and sway, rotate, and repeat. Three steps, rise and sway, rotate, and repeat. Three steps, rise and sway, rotate, and repeat. It was Two steps in rotation and rise, two steps in rotation and rise and repeat.

“I hope Sebek was kind to you, Prefect. Sebek can sometimes be…harsh.” Silver said softly.

Renmu hummed in approval, “Yes, more or less.”

Silver went silent as they danced, his cornflower eyes Closing slowly. His breath came out deeper, his movements slower. It was now occurring to Renmu that Silver was falling asleep.

“Silver-Senpai, you're falling Asleep.” Renmu chuckled softly.

Silver's eyes slowly fluttered open. “Sorry, dancing with you is so peaceful. I couldn't help but to feel a little sleepy.”

“Daijoubu desu. I know you can't help it.” 

Silver's lips curled into a small smile. Renmu would have noticed If it wasn't for his sleepy countenance. 

“Sebek…means well, Renmu.” Silver said over a yawn. “His Pride and Prejudice get the best of him. But once you get to know him, he's very caring.” 

Renmu nodded. “I know he means well…sometimes. I do hope he opens up more to us other freshmen.” 

“Yes, that would be nice to see.” Silver said in agreement.

Silver twirled Renmu away from him, his black cloak and cape rippling in the gold light, illuminating the iridescent colors underneath. Silver then pulled him right back. Silver's arm was wrapped around Renmu's chest for a brief moment before repeating the same movements, putting them back to where they started.

“Did Tsunotaro really want to dance with Sebek?” Renmu asked. 

Silver looked confused for a second before realizing he was referring to Malleus

“Yes. Though I wasn't surprised that he dropped everything to do it.” 

Renmu laughed softly. Sebek would do anything for Malleus at a drop of a hat.

“And Prefect, did you at least have fun, being here in the City of Silk, despite it all?”

Renmu nodded vehemently “mochiron. I would love to come again.”

Silver went Silent for a moment then spoke again. “Then, would you ever think of visiting the Briar Valley? I hope you dont think it's intimidating like most people do.”

Renmu shook his head. “I would love to visit there one day.”

Sliver smiled. “I'm happy to hear that. Fa-I mean, Lilia always says that traveling  is always a good learning experience.” 

That he was right. Renmu never got to travel back in his own world though, he’s always wanted to. Now that he was here, in Twisted Wonderland, he got that chance, he got those opportunities to learn and to have fun. The places here, were quite literally, magical. He was living a fantasy and reality at the same time. It doesn't quite get better than that. Renmu would do anything to stay in Twisted Wonderland. Being in this Isekai was the best thing that ever happened to him. 

Silver watched the prefect lose himself in his own thoughts. Silver wondered what it was like in Renmu’s old home. He heard many times that his world possessed no magic. Sure some people here didn’t have magic. It was common. But an entire world without magic? Silver couldn’t even phantom what that was even like. Just the very idea was unimaginable, orphic. So much of their very lives contained magic, needed magic. Magic was and is what keeps the Briar Valley so powerful. Then again, Renmu was a prime example that it was possible, that the impossible was possible. Silver had faith in Renmu. He had faith that whatever Renmu kept facing, whatever this world seemed to throw at him, he would overcome it. To silver, Renmu was as strong as a knight. 

“You;re like a knight, Prefect.” Silver suddenly said, catching Renmu off guard.

“Eh, how so?” Renmu asked truthfully.

“You have a heart of steel,” Silver said, placing his hand over Renmu’s heart. “You are strong,” Silver's grip tightened to prove the point. “and brave.” Silver finished softly. “You’ve been through a lot, yes? Yet, you don’t let those things stop you. When this world throws anything it has against you, like a dragon with frightening bellicosity, you don't back down.”

Silver dipped Renmu down and said “You get right back up.” 

Silver picked Renmu back up, a smile. A smile full of admiration. “You’re just like a knight to me. Not all knights wear a full suit of Briar armor.” 

Renmu didn’t know how to respond to that. He never saw himself like a knight. He never saw himself as someone brave or strong. He always saw himself as something to be undesired. 

Silver could see the doubt in the Prefect's eyes. “You may not see it yet but everyone here does. Don’t doubt yourself.”

That was easier said than done. When you’re someone as gloomy as Renmu, those things never cross your mind. But, it was a nice feeling for a change. Knowing people had faith in you, knowing people appreciated you, knowing that you meant something to someone. 

Renmu didn’t want to think of the past, but the moment they were in now. Everyone around them was in sync. Some go clockwise and the others counter clockwise. “I shouldn’t take up anymore of your time. After All, I know there are others who want to dance with you.”

Before Renmu could question what he meant by that, the next song started as quickly as the previous one ended. Silver was already switching partners with another student and a new familiar face was in front of Renmu. It was Ruggie. A lopsided grin appeared on the Savanaclaw students face as Ruggie said….

So I recently found your AO3 and like

Do you happen to have any photo ideas on what Yev and the freshmen from PTM look like? <3 Cause they're canon to TWST in my heart (I love all of em so much)

Not really, I have a specific image in my head for each, but just not the time or the full talent to draw more than headshots lol. But I can try to provide references.

I can provide with some generally inspirational pics, as it's always hard to imagine an exact match to a real life person. Yev has a drawing I did here, but you can also imagine him referencing the Peruvian model Patty Wong. Similar to how Vil has a feminine beauty to him, Yev does as well.

James I think would most closely resemble Orlando Bloom as he was in the first two Pirates of the Caribbean movies. I think just a bit darker and with more freckles from being out in the sun. His hair in unkempt often, which infuriates Riddle, but for some reason no one can get it to not be poofy and frizzy. It's cause he needs a curly hair routine, lol.

I don't have a celebrity for Wynfred, but this model I was able to find I think is a pretty good resemblance. He has two slightly longer, braided strands framing his face that have his green moon hair charms. Also, he has a Rosarian (aka TWST British) accent, but it's a very good fake one :)

I had a harder time finding a reference for Marion, it seems that the internet doesn't appreciate chubby men >:( Also, they all have facial hair which Marion doesn't so that made it hard too. But, I think this pic of I think a younger Hozier is a good starting point. Imagine hair long enough to tie back and a bit more chubby cheeks.

Silas was easier to find references for, and they're androgynous, so they have a mix of feminine and masculine beauty to them. Vil and Rook would've loved them if they were around during PTM. I like to imagine that, like Epel, other students mistake them as a girl for a while. Unlike Epel, Silas plays along with it and even dresses up in the dress/skirt versions of the uniforms for some times. At least until they get bored and switch back to a more masculine appearance, which confuses everyone for a moment. When asked, they'll just say "I felt like a guy today, might be a girl tomorrow though!"

Aspen, Tony, and Yakub are all a lot harder to find references for, since they're nonhuman, and I've made some of those features a bit more prominent in their designs. If I were to assign someone to them as a starting point, Aspen I think would be best to refer to Troye Sivan. Tony is a bit easier, as I can very clearly imagine him as a very short young Anthony Ramos, love of my life. And lastly, I need you to hear me how on Yakub, because he's based on Iago who is based on a parrot which are mostly native to southern North, Central, and South Americas. Thus, imagine him as Xolo Maridueña but much taller and a bit darker, and the feather hair is a reference to the Tooth Fairy's own feather hair from Rise of the Guardians.

I'm hoping in the future I can either make the time to draw everyone on my own, or commission someone if I have spare money in the future.

Magical Mishaps, Morals, and Memories: Prologue

The puffs of smoke from the front of the Hogwarts Express clouded the front of the train, the black and red exterior sheening with what seemed like fresh polish. Returning and new students were rushing about the platform, some eagerly and some less so. Trunks were being dragged across the platform, friends were yelling and hugging, parents were waving goodbye. Another start to a schoolyear at Hogwarts, full of potential.

Inhaling deeply, the lone exchange student gripped their trunk handle tightly as they tried to avoid other students. They loaded their trunk onto the back of the train before making their way towards the compartments to find a seat. Nervously, they double checked the first empty compartment they found. Finding it truly empty, they sat down, fiddling with the ends of their sleeves and double checking their robes.

Wand? Check. Money? Check. Uniform to change into? Check.

The student sighed and relaxed a bit, smiling slightly. Just as the train was about to move, a knock on the compartment door shook them from their relaxed state.

"Hi! Everywhere else is full, mind if we join you?" The ginger boy standing in the doorway asked. The student glanced behind the boy, seeing several other boys behind him.

"Sure..." They said, shifting towards the door to provide enough seating for everyone. The boy grinned and stepped inside. He seemed pretty tall for his age and had a friendly but intense air about him. The second boy, about the same height with dark hair and blue eyes, sat next to the first boy, nodding to the student. The third boy was much shorter, with pale lilac hair and a somewhat reserved expression. He sat in the last space next to the first two boys. The fourth other student was a lot taller and kind of...scary-looking. He nodded to the student and sat across from the ginger. Lastly, a green-haired boy entered and closed the door before sitting next to the student.

"Thanks. I'm Ace Trapolla. Fourth year Gryffindor and rising Quidditch star!" The ginger said, grinning. The boy next to him rolled his eyes but still grinned a bit too.

"Deuce Space. Also a fourth year Gryffindor." He introduced, waving to the original occupant.

"Epel Felmier, Gryffindor. Unlike Ace, I'm an actual Quidditch star." He said, grinning at Ace's annoyed protests.

"Jack Howl." The fourth boy said before going back to staring out the window.

"I'm Sebek Zigvolt! I'm in Hufflepuff, which is actually way cooler than Gryffindor." The green-haired boy said, beaming smugly.

The exchange student smiled nervously before introducing themself.

"What house are you in?"

"Oh, I don't know! I just started attending...I originally went to a different magic school." They explained. The compartment erupted into noise, causing them to cover their ears a bit to avoid the yelling, Jack quickly took control of his friends, shushing them and gently shaking the student's shoulder. They hummed gratefully before turning back to the rest of their new...friends?

"Well, hopefully you'll be in Gryffindor!" Epel said, giving them a grin and a thumbs up.

"Or Slytherin. Like it or not, they've always been neck-in-neck with us for the house cup." Jack added. Epel pouted in response, crossing his arms over his chest and slumping down in his seat.

"No! You'll definitely want to be in Hufflepuff. Or Ravenclaw!" Sebek countered.

"You only like Ravenclaw because your precious Mal-Mal is in it." Ace said, snickering to himself. Deuce snorted, obviously trying not to laugh too hard. This started another round of yelling, which the student just sighed at.

Glancing out the window as best they could, they smiled slightly to themself. Maybe this would be just what they needed.

Hogwarts was known to be a great place for memory-making, after all!

{hi dorm mates! i've been meaning to start posting again, so i came up with a project that i'm excited about: a twst hogwarts au! hopefully other people will be as excited as i am about it. i'm thinking of trying to make it a choose-your-own-adventure type thing, but we'll see how that goes! i've already picked all the characters' houses, years, patronuses, etc.! hopefully tomorrow i'll have the time to get the first 2 parts out.

I still haven't decided exactly how the ship is gonna work, but I'll try my best to organize my thoughts and explain my ideas so far for you~ I'll even add Akshaya's banner. I need to make one for the ship hahah

Akshaya definitely mets Epel through either Jack or Yuu. They're the two people she sitcks to at first and she's really bad at making friends, so she just tags along with them. One of the times when the 1st year group is together is when she and Epel are introduced, most likely.

They're just acquitances from then on, but at some point Epel helps Akshaya out with something (still undecided, but in the vibe of "catching her before he falls" or "blocking a ball that was gonna hit her"). Either way, Akshaya thinks that was a cool move and tells him "Thank you, you're so cool!" or similar. "Cool" is definitely on the "manly" side of praise (you know, from Epel's basic boy gender norms perspective XDD), so Epel gets all happy about it and boasts a bit.

Akshaya takes more notice of him from then on. She mostly enjoys when he's being "himself" and not meek for Vil. And she genuinely thinks he's cool and manly and all that. Basically, she admires what she lacks (she's so shy and meek). So she tells him. And since Epel likes those kinds of comments and attention, he'd keep showing off for her at the same time.

Little by little they'll get closer and somehow(?) they end up being a couple. I haven't thought that far ahead hahahah

And now, some little things I also have in mind for them or that make me like this ship, in no particular order:

They're a really confusing couple gender-wise. For others, mostly, they each have their own gender clear. But with Epel looking so "cute/femenine" by traditional standards, and Akshaya being more in the non-binary appearance wise, dressing in a really neutral way, it's easy to mistake who is what. And you know what? Too bad, you shouldn't judge people's gender by their appearance anyway~ But yea, I find this kind of thing fun to play with~ Also, Akshaya is 1cm taller than Epel (he'd hate that forever, maybe he'll grow taller than her in a couple of years XD). It's a small difference, so they basically look the same height 😌 It's just cute!

Kula is a bit more sceptical about Epel at first. In the end, he's the most cautelous of the two and his priority is always to keep Akshaya safe. He also doesn't think Epel is as cool as Akshaya does, but mostly just rolls his eyes at her about that hahaha. He warms up to him after, and mostly does not care as long as he makes Akshaya happy. When Akshaya and Epel are having a moment or they spend time together after they become a couple, Kula will either hide himself away inside Akshaya's clothes and sleep, or go to a hidden close-by location and sleep there until they're done. At that point, he trusts Epel, so he has no worries leaving them "alone".

I like to imagine Akshaya tagging along in the Harveston event too. I did a drawing of it for Twistober this year~ But a bit more about it. Akshaya is terrible with the cold, so even if she prepared in advance and put a lot of clothes on the day they go there, she's still cold af. They give her one of the warmest outfits later when they change, and Epel keeps checking on her to make sure she's never too cold. He even will give her his poncho sometimes to help her keep warm 🤭 And well, she'd love the part about making their own little animal plushies to help with the race! She loves cross-stitching the most, but also likes sewing in general. She'll be really happy learning about the tradition and how they're used. She'd make a snake plushie for herself, of course! She'd also be interested on how the traditional outfits they wear are made and probably chat with Epel's grandma about them for a while~ She'd be extremelly awkward around her at first, tho. Akshaya is super shy after all, and she wants to make a good impression on her. But seeing how she's really sweet (usually), and she's similar to her grandson, she'd quickly warm up to her ❤

Also, regarding the song I shared yesterday, I think some of the character developement for Akshaya will come from being close to Epel. With the other 1st years as well, but since she'll end up being closest with Epel, he'd have the most influence. Just how he openly welcomes her, always includes her and is really nice to her. He'll also be patient when she's all shy or can't quite make up her mind about something because of her fears of rejection. And slowly, she'll be a bit more open and be less social awkward~ (she's still that way, though, that won't go away completely hahah but getting better slowly 😌)

On another note, because of how you worded your ask… I realized I could even add some symbolism about the apple and the snake hahaha I never thought about it but it could be fun XD If only I knew more about religion(?). Maybe I'll ask a friend of mine who know a bunch about it if she has some ideas for this C:

And I think that's all I have for them so far~ One day I wanna answer those "ship questions" I have with them~ that would be fun :D

Authors Note: According to the wiki; Neige is taller than Vil. NEIGE IS 6,3. let that sink in. 6,3. That's not possible. That's a fucking lie. These guys are SKYSCRAPERS. Anyways in the wiki it also says that Vil wears 13 CENTIMETER HEELS? That's like. 5-6 inches. Which is probably why Vil looks taller than Neige in the story...
