Okay so I might’ve mentioned that I’m writing a fic where the children of Percabeth, Solangelo, and Valgrace go on an epic quest to rescue their parents and the rest of the Seven from the clutches of evil and I’ve kinda been Hyperfixating on it for a while so here is the first character I would like to info-dump about.

Meet Finley Di Angelo-Solace!!!

He’s currently my favourite out of the Next-gen trio and definitely the one I have the most fun writing for. I genuinely love him sm.

Rant under the cut-

Fin is the son of Nico and Will, and was created using divine godly magic so is biologically both theirs (hey if Zeus can have a baby from his thigh this can happen)

His powers are a complex amalgamation of both of his parents: he can shadow-travel in sunlight, he can heal and talk to the dead and his main weapon is archery

He’s autistic

He has hypersensitive hearing (it could be an Apollo thing, it could be an Autism thing we don’t know. It’s probably both)

He prefers ranged combat partially because he is touch-averse and likes to keep his distance (also bc the other two characters both use melee weapons so I needed some variety)

I see your “Trans Will Solace” hc and I raise you- “Transmasc son of Solangelo who they love and support so so much”

He will INSIST on wearing a binder throughout the entire quest, rib cage be damned! (This will become a problem bc apparently you’re supposed to take breaks and you’re not supposed to do any physical exercise in them so running around chasing monsters is not gonna go well)

A big theme in the fic is gonna be “names have power- but the name you choose is so much more important than the name you were given”, a continuation of the theme from my Married Valgrace AU (which this is canon to) where Jason chooses to take Leo’s name instead of keeping the name of the mom that abandoned him. I feel like Finley would be a great character to symbolise this- someone who chose his own name.

His favourite colour is green/turquoise

Think of Nico’s scariest moment that you’ve read in canon or in a fic- where he is just a force of complete and utter darkness and death. Are you picturing it? Good. Now multiply that by ten. Now imagine someone tried to misgender his child.

The same can be applied to Will. No transphobe would dare mess with Solangelo’s boy.

He is childhood best friends with the two other main characters, Isabella and Olympia, and talks to them a lot but is kinda shy around everyone else.

He also has a major crush on Isabella- the daughter of Valgrace. I have so many cute hcs about those two y’all have no idea.

He is good with medicine and has a magic first-aid kit that acts a lot like Leo’s tool belt with replenishing supplies.

He loves Star Wars

While all the other characters’ POV chapters have regular PJO-style funny titles, all his chapter titles are TOA-esque haikus.

Silver as a Gym Leader

- a ramble from someone who’s way too autistic about pokemon and rival Silver

Silver would absolutely either be a Poison or Dark type specialist, but for this I am going for Dark, with his ace of course being Weavile

Important things to note

• Mainly giving him pokemon that are available in gen 4 considering this would probably be hgss

•Also assuming fairy types don’t exist yet, and giving his pokemon egg/tm moves

•Giving some of his pokemon hidden abilities because I think he’d def breed for them and be a mean gym leader to get through

•If this was an e4 team I’d probably fully deck out his pokemon with competitive items, but since it is just a gym leader team only two of his pokemon hold berries.

Silver’s Team

Umbreon

Silvers team usually consists of really speedy pokemon/sweepers like Crobat, and Sneasel so I think giving an umbreon would help round out his team and add a tank to take hits, though it’d be different than his usual style. I also think adding an umbreon is a nice nod to Johto, as well as a friendship evolution. Showing off his character development and growth that we see at the end of HGSS.

Ability: synchronize - inflicts status conditions onto the opponent as well if hit by one

Held item: Sitrus berry - restores 25% of max HP

Moveset

Psychic - to deal with fighting types

Dark pulse - good STAB move

Wish - good healing move for a tanky pokemon

Confuse Ray - just feel like this helps round out the set

Houndoom

Houndoom helps deal with the bug types with a good fire type STAB move, and is also a nice nod to the old official art of Gen 2 Silver with a houndoom. It’s also a solid dark type pokemon.

Ability: Early Bird - pokemon wakes up twice as fast if fallen asleep

Moveset

Flamethrower - perfect to take care of bug types

Nasty plot - great for boosting sp. attack

Torment - prevents the spamming of the same move - gives it an opportunity to land a few more attacks if it tanks a water/ground type move

Dark pulse - another dark stab move

Honchkrow

Now this is a nod to Silver in pokespe, who uses a Murkrow and eventually a Honchkrow. I think it’s a cute little reference, and also a solid team member. It’s flying type is also a great counter for bug and fighting type pokemon

Ability: Super Luck - boosts critical hit rate

Moveset

Night slash - we already know what I’m gonna say.. dark stab move..

Drill peck - great stab move for flying and bug types

Feather dance - lowers opponents attack stat by 2 stages, great for fighting types and physical attacking bug types / moves like X-Scissor

Sucker punch - more stab, also good against faster opponents since Honchkrow is kinda slow

Obviously Weavile would be his ace, having assumed he would evolve his sneasel before becoming gym leader. Sneasel is also a pokemon he has in canon, so he has to be here. Ngl, struggling to find a good moveset for this guy. Weavile doesn’t have a ton of options in gen 4. I think it’s best use would be a swords dance sweeper

Held item: Chople berry - reduces damage from super effective fighting moves to 50%

Ability: pressure - reduces opponents move PP by 2 instead of 1 each use

Ice punch - the best physical ice move Weavile gets

Swords dance - to crank up the attack

might make another post about him as an e4 member or how his gym would be designed! I definitely think he could also be a poison specialist (maybe a poison specialist in the e4) or a champion and I’d love to build up his team like fully decked out competitively for a champion style team. Thoughts on Dragons Rising Season 3 (episodes 1-5)

I put a read more underneath because some of the notes are long and I don’t want to spoil anyone who hasn’t watched it yet.

-We’re still getting new lore even to this day, huh? Remember when the show was just “long before time had a name”

-Frak is so adorable and I love how he’s a bit of a know it all but at the same time it’s probably a result of his previous conditioning by Ras which is kind of sad honestly. Also I joked to myself about Sora x Frak being a thing but I didn’t THINK THE SHOW WOULD ACTUALLY HINT AT IT WHAT. Guys Sora and Frak are both T4T and autistic trust me bro

-Kai doing that lip smacking thing in the first episode totally proves he’s canonically ADHD for real

-Speaking of the first episode and Kai why did they MAKE FUN OF HIS VOICE LIKE THAT like bro what did Vincent even do to deserve that kind of shade.

-also I was kind of expecting Kai to be an overprotective dad towards Wyldfyre and her new relationship but I love how (so far) he’s been supportive of not teasing about it, it’s so cute.

-speaking of which I don’t really know how people feel about Roby but I think he’s…fine. Like yes, his gen-z slang is annoying, and “influencer” characters are annoying, but with Roby he at least genuinely CARES about Wyldfyre and the rest of the ninja team. Like, last season he seemed like he genuinely just wanted a good, fair tournament while making it as entertaining as possible in order to pull in new audiences, but not at the risk of anyone getting injured. He was genuinely concerned when he noticed the challenges were rigged and when Lloyd was put into a coma.

-Also Roby actually LIKES Wyldfyre back so like??? Guys this could’ve been so much worse they could’ve played it as Wyldfyre constantly making moves on Roby and Roby being disgusted by her affections because she isn’t “feminine” or “attractive” or whatever but they didn’t do that HE LIKES HER FOR HER AND I LOVE THAT!!!

-Arin sweetie I know you’re upset but PLEASE go back to the ninja you are not good at being a bad guy.

-Rogue (Jay) is finally here and omg I love how the mechanical wings he has is a callback to the invention he was working on in the pilot that’s such a great detail! Honestly I’m not super invested in the plot about Jaya reuniting but I am interested to see more of Rogue. Also it’s really funny how they’re disguising Rogue’s voice even though we ALL know it’s Jay lol.

-I cannot believe this show used the word “serpent-splain” like seriously what timeline are we living in.

-And for the most hyped part of this season, Morro’s return! It’s good to see him again, I really like how his character is being handled so far and the realm he resides in is pretty cool too. I hope we see more of him in the latter five episodes. I’m SO curious how he’ll react when he finds out that Arin’s former mentor was Lloyd.

-I really hope Zane gets some better character development this season because he’s kind of done nothing so far…

-also Pixal is back! I love Pixane so much and I’ve missed them it’s so refreshing to see them back together again. Also Zane calling Pixal the “smartest and most attractive member of the team” in the first episode was WILD like why is Zane so weirdly smooth sometimes?

-Good to see the superior couple (sorry Jaya stans) fighting side by side again, also I literally started cackling like a mad man when Zane sacrificed himself and they played his death music AGAIN like it’s a running gag at this point.

-I REALLY hope Zane’s mech form isn’t a permanent thing because it’s…not great.

-The reveal that Arin’s parents are (presumably) dead is SUCH a dark note to leave on like wow I wasn’t expecting that.

-I don’t really care that much about the Forbidden Five or the Thunderfang stuff going on but maybe it’ll be more interesting as time goes along but right now it just isn’t very compelling to me despite it being the main conflict of this season.

I've got a couple posts on this that go into better detail than I could in one post, so I'm gonna put some links in here and if you need any clarification or have any other questions, feel free as always to ask them./gen

This one is short but it's something I personally wish more Exceptions realized (how high a value it means we put on you). I don't show you this in any way to put pressure on you but instead to help remind you in the moments where it might not feel like the pwASPD in your life cares (because sometimes it just doesn't come across properly) that they very, very much do:

And that is probably already a novella's worth of information. But some specific advice I don't know if I've gone into before:

Do yourself and the person in question two huge favors in this and learn about flat affect if they experience that & try to learn to be comfortable with it, and get used to checking in with both of your emotions vs making assumptions on them. That goes both ways, because low/no empathy is a big part of most people's ASPD so they will very likely struggle to notice your emotions, and also because pwASPD have an emotional state that is VERY much misread by prosocial empathy. A lot of pwASPD (and no prosocial I've ever met) have this true neutral emotional state that is kind of the default, and I and many other pwASPD have learned the hard way that this true neutral (not content, just not feeling any emotion at all) reads to empathy as livid. Like truly pissed the hell off. This leads to something that can cause extreme friction between a prosocial and someone with ASPD: this persistent "I feel like you're mad at me" or "I can tell something is wrong" when in fact we are not feeling anything at the moment. Ask this enough times in a row though, or try to tell us what we're feeling, and suddenly the majority of us would sure be feeling VERY ticked off. I'm not saying don't ask at all - like I said open communication of emotions is huge between a prosocial and a pwASPD - but if they say they aren't mad but your empathy (if you have typical empathy) is certain they are, believe them at face value. On the low chance they're lying (most of us won't hesitate to tell you that you've ticked us off), it's probably because it is not something they feel able to discuss at the moment, and because most of us have low/no empathy, we don't expect you to guess how we're feeling anyways. If we don't tell you, we usually get that you don't know and won't like pin that on you in the way prosocials might.

Also, obviously pwASPD are not all the same so the biggest thing is to communicate in general. Don't assume everything I've said in these posts are universal because with a personality disorder, the spectrum of symptoms is wide - that's just kind of how it is when you're dealing with a disorder that affects every aspect of someone's life, actions, emotions, and thoughts.

this home wrested forth (2.5k, T) gen - sidurgu from DRK quests and alaqa from WHM quests meet up and deal with some gridanian wrongdoing.

a fervent desire (111k+, E) sanson/guydelot - an incredibly in-depth retelling of the BRD quests. great work developing these characters and giving them really in-depth motivations!

and love you shall find (9.8k, E) sanson/guydelot - BRD quests, but what if sanson journals as an accommodation for short-term memory loss?

As I should have expected, my brain is going autistic mode over Pokémon thanks to the Legends ZA trailer, and is likely going to be like this for the next two months. Legit, i’m so hyper fixating on it that I made a list of Pokémon that likely be in the game’s dex. I was thinking of saving my “notes” for a video idea since I’ve been thinking about doing YouTube videos to just share my random thoughts, but since I don’t have the best technology, don’t have a lot of free time, and likely by the time I would be able to finish it, it would probably be close to the release date. I think like Legends Arceus, there will be Pokémon from the original X & Y Dex that will not be added in Legends ZA. In terms of how many, well, if we multiply the number of registered Pokémon in the Kalos Dex (457) by the amount of Pokémon removed from the Sinnoh Dex in Arceus (22), and divide by the number of registered Pokémon in the original Sinnoh Dex (210), that gives us roughly 46 Pokémon that will be removed or only roughly 411 of the Kalos Dex Pokémon will be back for Legends ZA. Right off the bat, like how every Pokémon introduced in Gen 4 appeared in Legends Arceus due to it being a game focusing on that specific gen, all of the 72 Pokémon introduced in Gen 6 will definitely return for ZA due to it being a game focusing on Gen 6.

The following Pokémon are registered in at least one of the dexs in Scarlet & Violet and were also registered in the Kalos Pokédex. So there’s a good chance they’ll show up in Legends ZA:

In terms of how many, if we multiply the number of registered Pokémon in the Hisui Dex (242) by the number of registered Pokémon in the Kalos Dex, and divide by the number of registered Pokémon in the original Sinnoh Dex, that gives us roughly 526 Pokémon that will be available in ZA or only roughly 115 Pokémon will replace the removed Pokémon from the original X & Y Dex in Legends ZA.

Like Legends Arceus and Scarlet & Violet, some of the Pokémon added will be regional forms but judging off of Scarlet & Violet, there will be more convergent forms or maybe it will just be convergent forms and regional forms will be obsolete. In terms of how many, if we multiply the 526 Pokémon by the number of regional “form” Pokémon in Scarlet & Violet (10), and divide by the number of registered Pokémon in Scarlet & Violet (677), that gives us roughly 7 regional “form” Pokémon in ZA.

If we multiply the 7 regional “form” Pokémon in ZA by the number of convergent form Pokémon in Scarlet & Violet (6), and divide by the number of regional “form” Pokémon in Scarlet & Violet, that gives us roughly 4 of those regional “form” Pokémon being convergent forms in ZA.

If we multiply the 7 regional “form” Pokémon in ZA by the number of regional form Pokémon in Scarlet & Violet (3), and divide by the number of regional “form” Pokémon in Scarlet & Violet, that gives us roughly 2 of those regional “form” Pokémon actually being regional forms in ZA.

Which leaves room for one Pokémon either being a regional evolution, another regional form, another convergent form, or a convergent evolution which would be interesting.

Like Legends Arceus and Scarlet & Violet, we will likely get cross Gen evolutions. If we multiply the 526 Pokémon by the number of cross Gen evolutions in Scarlet & Violet (7), and divide by the number of registered Pokémon in Scarlet & Violet , that gives us roughly 5 cross Gen evolutions in ZA.

Now to figure out who the remaining 103 Pokémon to be added to ZA are.

The following Pokémon are Gen 9 cross Gen evolutions, so there’s a good chance they’ll show up in Legends ZA:

Since the Tentacool line and Diglett line are likely to be added, it would make sense that their Convergent forms would show up. Those Pokémon of course being:

All of the Hisuian forms will most likely not come back for ZA, and by extension, includes Sneasler due to the fact that lore wise, they are extinct, and in Sneasler’s case it’s a Regional Hisui evolution. The only possible contradictions to that statement is Hisuian Growlithe/Arcanine showing up in The Teal Mask, and Hisuian Qwilfish/Overqwil showing up in The Indigo Disk. However, the logical explanation for why they exist in modern times is due to captive breeding, so unless there’s a character/characters in Legends ZA that owns those species, the Hisuian Forms will not return. White-Striped Basculin, and by extension Basculegion are exceptions due to the inconsistency of it being a regional form or not. Plus White-Striped Basculin are catchable in Kitakami.

The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero establishes that the cross Gen evolutions from Arceus do still exist in modern times, but are very rare. That would leave them with the possibility of being in ZA, but the methods of evolving them might prevent them from returning though. Stantler evolves into Wyrdeer after using Psyshield Bash in the agile style at least 20 times. Therein lies the problem. Agile style/Strong style moves have only been a mechanic in Legends Arceus, and is most likely not going to be used in any other game. Judging by the trailer for Legends ZA, that seems to be still the case. So Wyrdeer is out for the count.

Kleavor surprisingly does have a chance. Despite requiring an item that’s only available in Arceus, Kleavor is catchable in Blueberry Academy. So it’s not out of the realm of possibility for Kleavor to return, but it means like Scarlet/Violet, the only way to evolve Scyther into Kleavor is in Arceus. Ursaluna is similar to Kleavor, except while technically Ursaluna is catchable in Kitakami, it was a different unique form of Ursaluna. So that means that Ursaluna has a slim chance to be added.

In short, that leaves the following Pokémon to be likely added.

Not gonna lie I feel like calling Oscar’s emotional reactions an act is uncharitable. This is gonna get a little personal so forgive me, but I’m autistic and recognise a lot of myself in Oscar. I also don’t publicly react a lot and don’t know how to express my joy very wel, so I come across as deadpan or sarcastic. I don’t think it’s necessarily an act or means he doesn’t care or is trying to appear cool or whatever. Sometimes people just don’t celebrate out loud, especially in front of millions. I think from the pictures and videos at the track here and in China it’s pretty clear that Oscar is extremely happy, but he doesn’t necessarily broadcast it, like having a little scream in his helmet instead of over the radio. That doesn’t mean the calm social media stuff is some kind of gen Z act.

OP I hate to break it to you but their calm social media stuff IS a part of their performing public persona and brand building. the "useful place to start." IS him being ironic idgaf the gen Z version of the millennial "well I guess That happened🤷‍♂️" or "I did a thing." and it is one thing to not be able to react when you're in the car and the other when you're posting on socials with full control of the tone and how you want to react to your audience

I think you are projecting your own feelings onto oscar. there will be people who love him for it like yourself, and there will be people who won't!

whether you like it or not, sports is about the human aspect of performance. if it wasn't, we'd all watch simulations of robots racing the most perfect race extracting everything out of the car, instead of a person who is imperfect. that's why football players have their own signature celebration moves after scoring, why tennis players beat up their racquets out of frustration, why f1 drivers do the ☝️to signify p1. if someone doesn't, that's fine - you can't please everyone :)

Upon reflecting this past year, I’m reminded of one area as a fandom citizen that i am lacking - reading fic. And so was born an idea to canvas my fandom family and friends to share with me a fic they've written, art they've created, a podfic they've recorded in 2023 of which they are most proud.

This two part 'rec yourself' list is the result.

Part One features Drarry creations (heavily featured since that's my OTP). From there started the self-indulgent process of folding fancy things with fancier papers for this origami comic, and I couldn't have done it without Em and my lovely support team.

Even though writing is still hard for me these days, I often think about this 'verse and what life is like for Harry, Draco and Cedric after they graduated from Oxford. These three and slice of life bring me such joy. I hope to write more of them.

I am very proud of how it turned out. However, this is probably my favorite fic from 2023 simply for the fact that I had the most fun writing it!

Also, I did not know I could achieve so much spiciness and throw in so many bad pick-up lines through this medium, but hey, the more you know! XD

It's my favourite because I lived this fic. It became the entirety of my personality for a whole month because I desperately needed to get to the chapter where Regulus was riding on Padfoots back, through the forbidden forest, with only the light of the full moon to guide them, just to try and help Remus. It's also just because it's very musical and I'm very musical so that makes me love it all the more.

That was important to me, and I think I succeeded. Posting the first fic on ao3 with this triad tag doesn't hurt either.

✩ @celilasart & @wolfspurr ✩ Shifted Teen Wolf | Derek Hale x Stiles Stilinski | 25k FIC + ART | T rating | Sterek Reverse Bang This work was created for sterek reverse bang, a collaboration fest where the artists create first and the writers write second. wolfspurr and I just clicked when we talked about my art and the things that it inspired in their writer brain ;D the result is just an amazingly sweet and wholesome fic, that is still set in the teenwolf universe as we know it. but unlike many other fics which are full of violence and danger, this one starts with a bang and then it is a beautifully woven story of two people who just complete each other. also... the working title for my art was: tiny fox & sour wolf.
