•Has a huge and obvious Crush on DogDay (and dreams of him lmao, even made a little plushie of him. (The mini critters / ruined critters, that but with his outfit.) and mimicked / matched a few things with him and the rest. If you put her in as background character, feel free to have that mini DogDay being carried around in my arms! I would love to see me carrying a tiny DogDay or just watching him from afar for some reason-?)

•Can also make mini plushies of other Critters that aren’t canonical and are part of the Space Riders Crew.

•Works as a BackUp for DogDays crew / the Smiling Critters if any of them are too injured to go out, or unhealthy in general.

•When not being a backup, usually helps around within the SpaceCraft by doing maintenance, cleaning, cooking, programming, nursing, gardening, experimenting, and mainly Quality of Life. (I guess you can say I’m HouseWife material-?)

Noticeable height difference.) White Jacket/Outfit,Boots,Skirt and Leg Warmers. (Leg warmers are a bit less bright of a white to distinguish between Leg Warmers and Skirt.) The belt is black.

•Uses crescent earring as a way to communicate (like an agent.) if needed.

•Often seen all around the space station, doing various tasks or multitasking, when relaxing or on break, just cuddling the Mini DogDay plushie I have. (Actually asked him to model for it, 😭🩵)

•Has a fear of the Dark and Abandonment, with severe Inner Child wounds and can break easily. In this AU it’s strengthen since people have to go in and out, as well as the dark being inescapable because it’s space.

•Contacts the leader of each crew to see if they need help on their mission, if they say yes, immediately goes out and heads on over to help for free.

•Has the power of Stars, such as moonlight, sunlight or stars in general. (Lighting up places, summoning the moon with stars for a bit, sending stars at enemies, idk if that makes sense lmao.)

au where dan and tray are librarians instead of scientists and grim is a cat

idk guys. at the start of today i hadn't thought of this at all and now i'm making a secondary au to the crystalverse, it's kind of a counterpart but they are definitely a different dan and tray

it basically goes similarly to the crystalverse, but when trayaurus gets his library job in his village he finds it's not just science that's a passion, he also finds interest in history, geography, literature and just about everything he can read about. just knowledge and learning as a whole. still, he feels like he doesn't fit in with other villagers, so he moves away into a city nearby with a huge, highly respected library where he studies to get a phd in literature.

the city happens to be the same one dan lives originally (i still haven't thought of a name for it) but by the time dan meets him for the first time trayaurus already has the degree. because of his family issues dan gets more and more reserved, distant from his friend group, ignored by everyone else and invested in learning and reading.

probably the biggest difference at this point is dan, serving as 28, sat through every lecture without any complaint, and it lead to him getting out in the allocated time, but so reserved that he's almost mute. after returing, not even straight As in his final exams earn any praise from his father and brother, so he ends up giving up getting any approval.

two moons university was BEGGING for him to attend but he still wasn't allowed to go (getting the news early), and during the summer he frequents the library and the coffee shop more than anywhere else, which is when he meets trayaurus and finds a small, but growing bond with him.

eventually dan still gets disowned with even less notice than in the crystalverse, without even a chance to pack up. the first place he thinks to go is the library and he breaks down explaining everything to trayaurus, who lets him stay at his flat, and their bond gets even stronger

the two of them are still smart and successful, but they don't go on as wild adventures, and still being based in the city means they're both more and less isolated from people.

grim was adopted by them both already as a skeleton, after another contact of theirs asked if they'd be interested in keeping the cat. nobody knows how grim became a skeleton but it might have something to do with fossils. unlike in the crystalverse where they knew grim was male before he was a skeleton, the cat grim's gender is unknown, so is referred to as they/them by dan and trayaurus, who adore them because they can bring them to the library, they don't have fur to shed hehe

another big difference is tray knew dan was trans from the beginning, he was very open about it, and of course there was no issue. dan still wears goggles even when they don't have a practical use, he says to anyone that happens to ask that they're for keeping out dust from old books, in reality they're plastic ones for a steampunk cosplay and barely functional, not that he's ever actually WORN them. not even once. he just found them in a store and thought they were neat. tray got second hand embarassment from it at first when he started wearing them in public, but now he doesn't mind

dan still draws and plays the guitar, but he doesn't post on youtube and only plays in the apartment for trayaurus. they also still play video games but they only like "retro" ones. the wii is the absolute newest console they'll even consider. while cav!dan has a 3ds he plays regularly, dbc!dan has a gba sp. he paid somebody to install a backlight mod lmao

i know i know i should really finish my other story before i start other aus but this got stuck in my head all day ajsjsjdjjd...the six of them (both trios) are absolutely going to meet at some point. it's not going to take any priority i'm just brainstorming

as mentioned before this was based on old challenge art based on the dark academia atyle. tray is still with the dark academia aesthetic but dan is closer to chaotic academia (particularly with his sneakers, and the badges on his sweater)

he still has the pencil tucked in the strap of his goggles but the picture's at an angle you can't see it. that's my story and i'm sticking to it

Hey mdzs crowd how would wwx being a bloodborne hunter sucked into a night of the hunt every full moon sound?

Maybe not a full long night, just an 'hour' of it every month, so he finishes one full hunt a year??

A qi free place, exactly like the actual game, but he has to sneak away into the moonlight portal or risk an agonising transformation into a grotesque beast himself for the duration the moon is in the sky. Cloud cover does nothing. He will try and kill everything in his path unless chained.

A choice between becoming a werewolf or the hunter, basically.

And lwj somehow following him through the portal once, to this qi less place, but as a cultivator of significant insight and an unprotected human of normal blood it goes REALLY downhill fast until wwx is able to free him, either by a high adrenaline scene getting a collapsing lwj back through the portal before it closes or by managing to drag his increasingly agonised and overwhelmed body to the sanctuary until the time is over, thus wasting valuable time and making things so much worse for wwx in the next full moons. It's a very angsty and traumatising reveal all round.

Because wwx is a whip smart guy with dangerous thoughts on resentment and the use of corpses, who went through horrifying things and emerged amazingly intact but not untouched, and I think it'd be really interesting to see the interplay of these dual lives. How the cultivation world is so, so much better in pretty much every way, but its own horrors reflective of yharnam, its capabilities for so much more than what they have.

Like, he'd be so much more desensitised to horror and gore, but it'd be matched by the stubborn drive that this is his home, his refuge from the dragging terror of the hunt, and he'd defend that to his last breath. And living a life as a (horribly fragile if lethal) mortal and still surviving the worst yharnam has to throw at him, he'd have a very different outlook on losing his core. He's already seen how, with the right tools, he can be just as dangerous if not more than the average cultivator. And in the cultivation world there's just so much more potential!

His inherent goodness, too, would not survive without damage just from the smog of hopelessness in the air. A wwx who can't keep that instinctive urge to help, but now has to choose, with every second, to remain kind (if not extremely inflammatory about it lmao).

The contemplation of demonic cultivation, too, would have a very different sort of draw. It's not just forbidden, taboo, but he's seen the very worst of it in action; the healing church, the orphan of kos, the vile bloods, the school of mensis, the feral beasts in rotten human skin roaming every street convinced they're still human.

But wwx isn't wwx without truly amazing levels of trailblazing hubris and curiosity, and he'd have the little niggling whispers in the back of his head, theories about how what they did could have been used for actual good, or at least more humanely. When he committed to the risk of demonic cultivation, he'd feel the dangerous itch to practice on things already dead, things that can't touch his home. To organise his goals, get some sort of advantage from this awful place, where the consequences (probably) can't follow him home. But yharnam is the most dangerous place possible to try messing with blood and the dead, and the knowledge of the rheumy eyes of the eldritch monstrosities above him is a heavy pressure on the back of his head.

I'd love to explore the themes of the changes wrought, these two different existences touching through wwx, but also can you imagine the yiling patriarch with a gun and a butchers knife?

ok so sanaa, a fennsang- a hybrid between a banded linsang(sort of like a weasel, theyre really cool) and a fennec fox- is like the protag of this world. she was my brainrot for a year but uh i kind of maybe lost that spark

i do not like my old art style but i love my little trans man ghjdbfjejfbr . anyways i also designed Maou/Mawu, an african moon goddess, and tried my best to do research on animals associated with her, as well as the blood moon festival. ofc, i was young and probably missed so many details, so please forgive my ignorance as i know i cant do it justice

i wrote, " in central africa, at the festival of the blood moon. Taking place every 30 years it is celebrated to welcome the Moon goddess, Mawu(Maou), from her 30-year slumber. It lasts the whole night, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. food and drinks are sold at stalls for a certain amount of bugs. Some bugs are more valuable than others." the bug part is my universe thing, obviously, theyre like a type of currency for most critters- another type is kelp or mushrooms, sort of like trading- but ofc its not exactly like real-life currency. another passage on a different page is " the moon parade, also called Mawoo, is a parade/festival celebrated all throughout Central africa, mainly in nigeria, where the canines gathered together to howl to awaken her(Mawu)" obv i put like worldbuilding there but i sort of feel like it isnt,, idk. i dont think i should have based it that closely on a real-life thing idk idk heres an old drawing

anywayswhere was i,,,, uh. ok anyways moving on ig? sanaa's parents met at this festival and they were like yea we vibe together. jakob(linsang dad) and feechi(fennec mom) ((can u tell im not good at names fjejfn)) and they settled down in south africa to have a kid and raise it properly kind of thing. sanaa grows up alright, the kind of kid that like,,, wanders around her neighborhood, picking up sticks and rocks, throwing them at the ground from the top of a tree she climbed because you stopped looking at her for 2 seconds

so lne day she meets cody, because she accidentally threw a stick at him she wasnt looking. so they were like. yeah we r friends now :)

they grow up together, get an apartment and are ROOMIE BUDDIES when they turn like 20 cos its fun. insert angst insert angst and suddenly the town is in hysteria and THATS WHERE I STOPPED WRITING NOOOO :(

Wreck

There's exactly one shot I might go back and change if I could now, but honestly this is probably my favourite of my vids. It accomplishes, imo, what I always want to accomplish with a vid, which is both being visually engaging and fitting the music in a satisfying way, and essentially being a visual essay with a thesis statement. I feel like the essay part works on multiple layers too, where the basic point (Guts' violence is self-destructive) should come across pretty clearly, but there are a lot of little nuances that reasonably only I will ever know lol.

Like for example there's a set of three shots towards the end: a monstrous arm reaching out, a sword-strike, and a monstrous arm falling severed to the ground. Those three shots form a coherent whole, but they're taken from three very different scenes, which, put together, draw a throughline between Guts' rapist, Guts' abusive father figure, and Guts' urge to fight monsters.

Ultimately I made this vid for me, and my intended audience is happy with it.

The Moon Will Sing

I feel like this one was very successful on an emotional level. Every time I watch it there are several moments that give me shivers, and it never wears off. It's a love letter to Casca, and you can feel that imo. Plus I'm very proud of just being able to make a Casca vid that's about her life and her accomplishments and disappointments, and not romance lol.

Long Black Coat

This is the earliest completed vid I still have and yk what it holds up. The song edit is smooth enough that I completely forgot I edited the song until someone mentioned how cut up it was lmao, since it's one I never listen to outside of rewatching this vid; the music is illustrated by the visuals very well imo, it has a good sense of rhythm; and while it's still pretty linear it's not completely linear lol, which was an accomplishment for me when I was like 18.

Tropic Morning News

The fugue state I went into while making this was ridiculous, and then I spent the next few days rewatching it like 50 times. The hypomanic obsession has worn off and it's not quite as perfect as I thought during that week of making it lol, but it still holds up pretty well imo, and it was a memorable experience. It's the only vid I've ever made with a constructed reality element so it's a successful experiment too. I think it comes together overall, and it's a good portrait of Hawkeye/BJ as a ship.

Waltzing Along

I'm saying this vid instead of my most recent pretty much solely because it was my first Mash vid, I feel like they're ultimately pretty equivalent. But yeah like, going in I was extremely skeptical that Mash would work as a source for me, because it lacks a certain cinematographic polish lol. It's not super visually interesting and a lot of significant moments are portrayed almost solely through dialogue. But then I started this and I was like oh okay I can work with this, nice. So I have this vid to thank for all future Mash vids, and for helping expand my resourcefulness as a vidder.

Plus I'm pretty proud of it in general, like the death verse came together so well, I love my choice to show Tommy and Henry before the lyric reaches 'death row,' to add that little retroactive realization of why they're here. And intercutting Hawkeye getting out of the bus with Hawkeye helping the North Korean dig a grave, leading into Hawkeye supporting all his friends... Hawkeye.mp4. It also has a slightly stronger emotional core than my most recent one, probably.

Also I showed it to my dad and it made him tear up lol so I consider that a win.

1000 paper cranes - supposed to be a piece of kakucho from tokyo revengers, part of his name translated to crane so i thought it would make sense to apply the legend of ‘if you fold 1000 paper cranes you’ll be granted one wish’.. he’s a very sweet boy that cares deeply about his friends and i think he’d definitely use the wish in a selfless way to better the life of another

passion and poetry - it was supposed to be a satosugu piece !!! i had an alternative title that was just ‘zero’ but that would be boring to send in lol.. the passion and poetry title came from the romantic ass shit they say to each other like it’s nothing sometimes i read over chapters from the manga where they’re talking to each other and i’m like.. u guys love each other it’s actually sickening. i ended up abandoning the wip because the composition i had in mind wasn’t working out LMAO but i might try again with a new concept.. i really wanna draw them together at least once

curse of the sun/blessing of the moon - a itafushi piece!! the title is a play on how itadori has a personality that shines as bright as the sun but he’s cursed (obv) and megumi being the moon (like he’s born on the shortest day of the year or something like that) and his name translates to blessings.. i have up on this one because again the composition was a struggle and i also ended up seeing somebody else draw a piece with a similar concept i had in mind so i was like damn.. it’ll look like i’m stealing now 🫢 but i do want to make a itafushi piece and use this title.. too good of a title to toss away

a good boy with no place - a piece of one of my OCs actually 🥳 i definitely plan on returning to this wip since i haven’t yet drawn this oc properly.. my oc universe thing is focused on the question “in what ways are people lonely and how does it affect them differently” and they’re all kinda tied together by a ghost character that’s lowkey a terrible person to turn to for advice but he’s just there to be a wicked and malicious thing lol. the oc in this piece is named dario and he’s the oldest, most gullible of my characters because he’s too nice of a person.. he’s poor and sells drugs and his romantic relationships never really go anywhere (but he’s a very sweet boy.. praying for him lol)

Sun never compared Moon and Nexus, unless Nexus himself asked him about it. Even then, Sun still didn't quite compare them. He just laid out the facts that they're different. He always saw them as different people and always made sure to let Nexus know he loves him.

He only would sometimes say "Moon used to do this or that" because unfortunately, Moon made sure Sun would be reliant on him.

Sun himself has never been incompetent or useless but Moon made him feel that way, unintentionally, but it still happens. Moon's love is expressed through action but unfortunately he never communicated to Sun correctly why he does the things he does.

Instead of saying "I want to do this for you brother because I love you and want to cherish you." He would say "you're too stupid to do this so I'll do it."

That's always how Moon has been.

So looping back to the titular fight between Sun and Nexus over star power... Sun was telling Nexus he was overworking himself and doing everything by himself again and Sun was pushed into finding something he could do to help. Before Sun could even finish his thought and reasoning he was cut off. Nexus proceeded to just constantly bring up a moment he assumed was Sun comparing Nexus to Moon.

Nexus has always just assumed Sun compared them.

I have so many thoughts and words too for the fandom and how they accuse Sun of being an abuser to Nexus... It's just awful.

But before that, I just want to address.... Sun never felt... useful... To anyone.... Until he could teach Nexus about Star power.... And the very first and only time Nexus used to was to threaten and hurt Earth...

The one thing Sun felt good about.... And it was used to harm Earth.

Like.... It's really obvious why Sun falsely calls himself a 'bad brother'.

So what I have to say about the fans who accuse Sun of being an abuser....

Tsams is one of those stories that is fraught with nuance and subterfuge. The VAs/writers while new are still very talented. They put a lot into the story especially for people to pick up on and analyze.

Tsams is also a family rated series that does draw in very young viewers and unfortunately the young viewers... This is just my opinion.... But I just don't think they're at the same level of media comprehension. I think there's a big lack of critical thinking from some fans.

Just think about it, people always tend to take what Nexus and other Villains say at face value.

Eclipse V1 and onward basically lied about a lot of stuff. The only thing he said about Sun that's true was "You might be a good person but you want to do so many bad things"

And that's just the thing, Eclipse never elaborated what those bad things are. To Sun, bad is saying bad words. It's bad to get mad and insult someone. He carries guilt over saying mean things.

The reason why Eclipse would target an insecurity like that is because he needed to keep Sun weak because I want to remind everyone, Sun fought Eclipse every second and was always getting better at it. He also fought Moon everyday when he was killing kids. Please note, Eclipse himself even admitted that Sun is a good person.

Sun is a fighter and never gives up so the villains tear him down to keep him compliant.

Then to Nexus.... Does no one remember how Sun held him and comforted him when he lost Solar? He never told him to bring Solar back but he feels guilt over it because in the moment as he watched Nexus break while Solar vanished into nothing he said "b-bring him back.".

This is why Sun feels guilty. Are we really going to use him pleading for Solar to come back in this moment as him putting pressure on Nexus to revive Solar?

But again I think the lack of critical thinking or media literacy causes people to hear what Eclipse and Nexus and other Villains say to Sun and take it at face value.

They just think for some reason every villain is just being honest all the time.

It's kind of crazy to me.

Favorite Synastry Aspects 

I figured since I did a red flags synastry post, I might as well do a post with good synastry and some opinions. These synastry aspects can be good for friendships, family members, and/or romantic relationships, unless I specify otherwise! 

💍North Node Conjunct Mercury: I feel like people with this aspect really get each other, and they teach each other a lot. This relationship is meant to teach the individuals something. They also communicate really well and communication tends to flow between them very easily. Conversations aren’t forced. Just natural. 

💍Moon in the 8th overlay: This one is more for romantic synastry, but this could be good in other types of relationships as well. This aspect is the epitome of the saying “lay all your cards on the table”. These people are very open with each other, and feel comfortable talking about anything and everything with each other, more specifically the dark side. In romantic relationships, I’ve found that this really draws two people together. There’s a tension between them, and everyone can see it. This is a strong bond. Some might consider it not good, and if you’re looking for a quick fling, be cautious with this aspect. It’s heavy, but it’s one of my favorites. 

💍Chiron positively aspecting+conjunct moon: This is a very healing placement. I personally prefer this for friendships, because in love this can get a little heavy, but if handled right, it’s great in romantic relationships. The two individuals help each other through hardships in life. They’re each other’s therapists, and they make each other better people. If things don’t work out, the pain still helps both individuals become better people. 

💍Sun in the 4th overlay: This is great for friendships and family, but also great for romantic synastry too. They’re each other’s “home” in a sense. They feel comfortable around each other, and can fully trust each other. It’s a comfortable placement, and I think of it as the two individuals sipping tea together by a fireplace baring all their secrets to each other. 

💍7th house overlays (specifically sun, moon, and Venus): This is the typical romance aspect LMAO. If you have this with someone you’re bound to feel some type of way about them (unless it’s your family member obviously or something but you know what I mean LMAO). In the romantic sense, you’re just very drawn to each other and I’ve rarely seen this play out where both individuals don’t like each other in some way. I have this with a guy and even though I know I don’t like him, there are times when sometimes I question myself, like hmm maybe I do like him? This overlay fucks with you, but in a romantic sense? Literally perfect. You want this in romantic synastry. 

💍Sun Opposition Mercury: OKAY HEAR ME OUT. It's a harsh aspect I’m aware, but they complement each other so well. They learn a lot from each other, and their different approaches to communication can help the other person see a different perspective. Also, I feel like this is so underrated, because every person I’ve had this with always understands exactly how I feel and knows exactly how to make me feel better. Different yes, but they complement each other SO well. 

💍Mars Trine Mars: This placement is just... chef’s kiss, esp for romantic synastry. You guys just feel magnetically attracted to each other, and there’s a lot of chemistry. In a non-romantic relationship, you guys both motivate each other to do the best you can and I think of a power couple type shit. There’s also a bit of a healthy competition between you guys. 

💍Venus-Mars Positive Aspects + Conjunctions: OMFFFFFFF GIRLLLL (romantic again lol). This placement is ideal. Big attraction here from both sides. Literally a perfect aspect to have. This is the typical movie star romance aspect. Typical fairytale romance. 

💍 Mars in the 8th overlay: This shit is SPICY (romantic again). Y’all will feel attracted and connected to each other for no reason. This is lust and attachment. They will be obsessed with each other and the relationship will be intense. Now, this is good for those who are in it for the long haul, but for short term flings? I’d be careful with this again. It’s more intense than Moon in the 8th because it’s more s*xual. 

💍Venus Conjunct Jupiter: This one is great for all types of relationships, I feel like people with this in synastry truly understand each other. I’ve had this with someone, and we have so much in common and we just totally get each other. They have a good time together, and with Jupiter being such a benefic planet, this aspect can override a lot of negative aspects in synastry. If you have this in a romantic relationship, this is a GREAT sign that things will work out. 

💍Moon in the 1st: I have this with my best friend, and we get each other so well. We always know exactly what the other is feeling, and we can empathize with each other. We have a very natural bond, and most people have to work to form relationships, but friendship was always so easily for us, and we’ve always felt comfortable around each other. This is great for any type of relationship. 

💍Vertex Conjunct MC: This aspect is great because both of the people change their lives for the better. They might show each other new interests and they are meant to be in each others lives. This relationship (if not family) is fated to happen. 

💍Asteroid Aphrodite #1388 Square/Opposition Sun: While this aspect sounds like it’d be bad, it’s actually not. This aspect makes the pair very protective over each other, and they constantly look out for each other. While this could manifest as being overprotective, I see it more as a good thing. They just want to keep each other safe. 

💍Asteroid DNA #55555 positive aspects/conjunctions: This is more so for family, but you could also look at this in other types of synastry to see what you have in common with that person. I have it aspecting my moms Mercury, and a lot of people say I sound like her on the phone. I also have it aspecting my dads Mercury and my mom always says we deal with our emotions in a similar way. With my best friend, we have it aspecting our Chirons, and her and I have dealt with a lot of similar painful situations and have helped each other through them. 

💍Asteroid Karma #3811 aspecting Venus and/or Mars: This one is for romance. Ooof, the connection here is STRONG. I have this with someone I’m crushing on, and my friend said she could feel the tension between us. Speaking of which, she literally messaged me today and I’ve been thinking about it all day. Ugh, I’m such a simp. 

💍Prominent Asteroid Gabriella #355: This relationship helps both people become stronger. They grow together and they also might fight for causes together. Or they might both work in a job where they help vulnerable people. 

💍Mercury Conjunct Mars: This is good for romantic relationships. They flirt alot with each other despite how long the relationship has lasted. It keeps the relationship fresh. They also like to talk in bed...if you know what I mean. They also have a mental connection and they are very open about what they’re thinking. 

💍Ceres in the 7th: This is also good for romantic relationships, as the Ceres person can see themselves marrying the 7th house person. The 7th house person makes the Ceres person feel loved and secure. Great for romantic partnerships. 

💍Moon Sextile Saturn: This softens the karmic relationship aspect of Moon Conjunct Saturn. You get the best of both worlds with this aspect. There’s a really strong bond between the two, and a lot less clashing. This is likely going to be a long lasting connection (unless it’s a family member LMAO you’re always gonna be connected) if not a life-long connection. 

💍North Node in the 3rd: This is great for platonic relationships! I have this with my friend, and I see her as a sister. We also have great conversations and we really get each other. We always say similar things and think the same way. We’re always on the same page about a lot of things, and we also love to teach each other things we’ve learned. 

💍Saturn Conjunct Ascendant: I really like this for any kind of relationship. I feel like the Saturn person looks up to the Ascendant person alot. They see them as a role model and the Ascendant person pushes the Saturn person to do their best. The Ascendant person also teaches the Saturn person how to be more mature, and helps them accomplish their goals. 

💍Sun in the 5th overlay: This is just a super fun aspect to have for any relationship. The two just have a lot of fun together, and it’s a very light-hearted aspect. They like to make each other laugh and be best friends. In a romantic relationship, they’re like each others best friends. 

💍Jupiter Conjunct Mars: For romantic relationships, this couple has ALOT of s*x. There are high libidos here and alot of passion. They are open about their love for each other. I could keep going but I think y’all get the picture. 

💍Venus positively aspecting/conjunction Uranus: Literally love at first sight in romantic relationships. The chemistry is natural and they get comfortable with each other really easily. In platonic and family synastry, they’re not afraid to show each other their weird sides and are comfortable with each other. They tell each other all their secrets. There’s a lot of excitement here.

💍Sun Trine Uranus: These two accept each others weirdness and bond over unconventional things. They also like to try new things together. They also find each other interesting and never get bored of each other. 

💍Moon-Ascendant Positive Aspects+Conjunction: This gives the two people a really strong and emotional bond. They also feel really comfortable and really familiar with each other. I literally have this aspect with most of my best friends. 

💍Venus Conjunct Ascendant or Venus in the 1st: For romantic synastry, this is love at first sight. I had this with one of my exes, and he said he fell in love with me when he saw me (I’m the Ascendant person, he’s the Venus person). Didn’t stop him from cheating though...it’s okay I was never attracted to him anyway <3

💍Ascendant Conjunct Ascendant: This works really well because both people have a similar view of life and have had similar life experiences. They understand each other really well and likely have a lot in common. They don’t have to explain anything to each other, they just know. 

💍Mars Square Ascendant: Ugh, the s*xual tension here omg. I had this with someone, and I fucking HATED her but I also wanted to fuck her at the same time. We lowkey just didn’t like each other, but I thought she was hot. In a relationship this would manifest as a strong s*xual connection, and it will always keep things interesting. Others may see this as a negative, and if the couple isn’t careful it can turn into a problematic aspect, however, any relationship can turn sour. 

💍Asteroid Destinn #6583 Conjunct Sun: You’re meant to be in each others lives. Nothing else to say here. This connection is fated. 

💍Prominent Asteroid Musa #600: The planet person will be the muse of the asteroid person. I had this with my ex, and when we broke up I wrote so many poems about the break up and how it affected me. So he was my muse, but in a more negative sense. 

My Synastry Opinions

💍Synastry can’t determine if you’re gonna marry someone, it’s more of the energy between you and the person. I look more at Composite charts and Davison Charts to determine if people will get married. 

💍Bad aspects can be neutralized by good ones depending on what they are, i.e. if you have Moon square Venus, and Moon trine Venus as a double whammy, they kind of cancel out each other if that makes sense. 

💍8th and 12th house synastry needs to be considered in relationships. I love these synastry overlays, but they’re intense. If you’re looking for a casual thing, I'd advise against doing that with someone you have this overlay with. 

💍Normally with asteroids in synastry, one or two aspects isn’t significant if it’s not a conjunction or in a prominent house like the 1st or the 10th. However if it’s three or more aspects, other aspects can be included. However, minor aspects shouldn’t really be counted in this (imo). 

💍Oppositions are challenging, but not impossible. I feel like people shit on oppositions alot, but imo, I feel like oppositions can work really well in synastry because people complement each other. Squares are another story, it really depends on what other aspects are there and what the aspect is. (i.e. Moon square Venus isn’t as bad as Mars square Pluto). 

💍6th house synastry is really nice too! People say its boring, but I think it’s a really nice synastry overlay to have. You guys make each other a part of your lives, and you guys do things for each other. This is a really nice and sweet overlay to have. 

💍 An abundance of squares should be taken with a grain of salt. While you should be wary of these, I personally think depending on the aspects themselves and others in the chart, they can be worked through. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have a lot of negative aspects, but they also have really positive ones that balance them out and they’ve been together for a REALLY long time and show no indication of breaking up. Also, my best friend and I have a lot of squares in our synastry, but we get along great because we have other aspects that balance it out. TLDR; look at all the aspects and don’t hone in on the negative ones unless they’re really bad like Nessus contacts, Mars square Mars, etc. 

💍Trines are great, but can be lazy. Too many trines in synastry isn’t a great thing either, it can make the relationship fizzle out and go stale. They’re great, but not in abundance. Ideally, you wanna look for sextiles, conjunctions, a few trines, and a few oppositions to keep things alive. 

💍Conjunctions aren’t always good, especially when it involves a malefic planet like Saturn or Mars depending on the planet and other aspects. Moon conjunct Saturn can be bad, it can be very painful and they can depend on each other too much. As for Mars, Mars conjunct Pluto can be really great if handled well, there’s a lot of passion, but it has the ability to go south because of ego clashes. So be mindful of conjunctions in synastry, and what planets they’re aspecting. 

💍Be mindful of North Nodes and Vertexes in synastry, it can tell you what purpose that person is going to serve in your life. For example, Venus Conjunct North Node, they’re likely there to be a romantic partner and if not that, they might be there to teach you self-love or teach you about your relationships with others. 

💍Use whole sign and Placidus astrology for synastry, I’ve found that both are applicable when looking at planet overlays. I typically refer to Placidus astrology for synastry, but it’s definitely worth looking into whole sign astrology as well for synastry. 

💍2nd house synastry can be really great, but I feel like it can go sour if the couple isn’t mature enough or careful enough. They can get really possessive and clingy with each other, so this definitely has to be approached with caution.

💍For soulmate connections, I’d say you need 10 or more of soulmate aspects to call someone a soulmate (I might make a post for this). Remember, not all soulmates are romantic either. They could be a platonic soulmate. However, I’d personally use composite for this, as it has more to do with the relationship itself whereas synastry just deals with the energy of the couple. But, I do think an abundance of soulmate aspects in the synastry chart is significant and should be taken seriously. So take that as you will. 

💍Honestly, just go with the flow in synastry and don’t let it determine anything. If you feel a major connection with someone, but you feel the synastry isn’t “passionate” enough, don’t let it deter you. There’s always something there with people you have personal connections with, and you can look at your Composite and Davison charts as well. 

💍I feel like this one goes without saying, but don’t do synastry charts with celebrities or people you don’t know or don’t really have a connection with (i.e. someone who's in your class but you never talked to them, honestly I don’t know how you’d even get their info anyway but you get my drift). You’ll get wrapped up in possibly having good aspects with them, and getting your hopes up. Save synastry for the people you do know and do have some sort of a connection with. 

💍I personally like to see a bigger number of aspects and have some negative ones in there, versus a smaller number of aspects with mainly positive aspects. This is because I feel like you need a good number of aspects to have a relationship or a connection with this person (this is for romantic synastry). I’ve found that people who I don’t have a lot of aspects with in synastry, my relationships with them have never gone further than a first or second date. Again, take this with a grain of salt. You may have some really powerful aspects despite not having a big number of them. 

💍Look out for double whammys in synastry, it heightens the energy of the aspects. 

💍If you’re a woman or a more feminine identifying person look to see if your partner’s Moon or Venus falls in your first house. 

💍If you’re a man or a more masculine identifying person look to see if your partner’s Sun or Jupiter falls in your first house. 

Remember these are all just my opinions, and I’m not a professional astrologer! Hope you guys enjoyed!

Sundrop & Moondrop but human

I have no idea how tumblr works but heres my designs/headcanons for human Sundrop and Moondrop lol

- Sun and Moon are brothers and work in the day care at the pizza plex, Sun working during the daytime activities and Moon working during naptime/whenever the lights go off because he literally doesn’t pay attention and thinks “lights off” means it’s time for his shift.

- They’re both really tall and flexible.

- They both have bells on their uniforms (wrists, shoes, Moon’s hat) to let blind children know where they are/ let any lost kids know where they are too.

- Moon hates his job and only works there because no one else would hire him. He almost didn’t get hired at the daycare either but Sun begged to let him get hired too so know he’s technically stuck there.

- The only reason Moon still has this job is because anytime he gets in trouble (ex; scaring kids either on purpose or accident, being mean during his shifts), Sun will beg the boss to not fire him and give some story as to why he absolutely needs the job, it works every time and Moon hates this because he wants a different job.

- Their vitiligo only really appears on their faces and have a moon shape.

- Sun is blind in one eye because a kid snuck a fazer blaster in one day and shot it directly into his eye.

- Moon has 2 different colored eyes, blue and red.

- Sun uses a ton of hairspray and Moon thinks he’s insane.

- Moon lowkey wishes the kids liked him but he also can’t stand the way kids act during his shift and how they won’t go to sleep when he tells them to.

- Moon has a good singing voice which is used to put kids to sleep with lullabies, Sun, on the other hand, has a terrible singing voice because of how much he screams during his shifts because kids find screaming funny.

- They are literally just the pizza plex clowns fr.

- Sun wears a headband to keep his hair out of his face and to prevent things like craft messes to ruin his hair.

- They’re both clean freaks which is horrible considering what their job is lmao they picked the wrong career path.

- Sun has freckles and Moon has a mole under his left eye.

- They both have tooth gaps.

- Sun is always energized and never needs sleep while Moon literally loves sleep but can never sleep. 

- Sun will cry if you make art for him but Moon will literally die on the spot if you draw him.

- Sun will say sorry about everything even if it’s not his fault because he does not want to get fired or yelled at by parents.

- They both know sign language for deaf kids but Sun kinda signs way too fast sometimes so Moon will have to take over for him.

- Sun is like super emotional like during the whole Gregory incident he legitimately thought he was gonna make a friend but then Gregory made Moon mad which caused Sun to literally break down and be like “why do u drive all my friends away omg” and then Moon would be like “oh my god stfu please he’s an intruder dumbass”.

- Sun made the banned sign by himself with a whole Regina George moment going on.

- Sun will break down if someone tells him Santa isn’t real.

- Sun does arts and crafts whenever he wants and sometimes Moon has to remind him that he should be working.

- Sun knows all the daycare drama that the kids share and gossips about it to Moon at the end of the day, these stories push Moons idea further about how kids are insane.

- During the security breach game scenario, if Moon didn't get possessed, Vanny would've told him how Gregory was out to hurt Sun and this would’ve set Moon into paranoia to watch out for Gregory.

- Gregory is like 10 and only wanted the security pass thing lol.

- Moon cares a lot for his brother and the kids he looks after even if he doesn’t act like it.

- Sun calls kids he likes “sunshine” and Moon would call the kids he’s likes “starlight”. Literally just don't poop in the ball pit or go to sleep during nap time and they’ll like you it’s that simple.

- Sun puts on puppet shows for kids and tries to get Moon to join but he never does.

Jurassic period alien interacting with key cultures and historical figures in Middle East & Asia throughout history

Like they would be protecting Jerusalem and it’s people agains the Crusaders later on. I also had the idea of the the dark matter human later on interacting with the prophets Jesus Christ and Muhammad. With Jesus they couldn’t understand why he would sacrifice himself even though the people weren’t deserving. And then Jesus taught them that you have to put other before yourself and protecting people is life’s greatest reward. And then with the prophet Muhammad, I had the idea that their interaction was a simple conversation that mirrors the one he had with the angel Jibril, that lead to the principles of Islam. Now with these ideas I understand the great importance of how not to convey Islam and I’ve been doing reasearch, but I am white and I can understand how that may look trying to write about a different religion than my own. So I guess ultimate my question is, is this ok to do? Is it ok to have an alien creature interact with religious people and historical events as important as they were? Like I said I would try to be as accurate and as respectable as possible but I know that Islam can be a touchy subject and the last thing I would want is to disrespect anyone. The main reason I wanted the dark matter being in the Middle East was because I wanted to do something different because so much has been done with European and American stuff I wanted to explore the eastern side of the world because it’s very beau and very rich with so many cultures that I want to try and represent. Stories that seek to take religious descriptions of events at face value from an areligious perspective particularly favor this approach. Thus, we have two responses:

1) No - Why You Shouldn’t Do This:

Hi! I’ll give you the short answer first, and then the extended one.

Short answer: no, this is not okay.

Extended answer. I’ll divide it into three parts.

1) Prophet Muhammad as a character:

Almost every aspect of Islam, particularly Allah (and the Qur’an), the Prophet(s) and the companions at the time of Muhammad ﷺ, are strictly kept within the boundaries of real life/reality. I’ll assume this comes from a good place, and I can understand that from one side, but seriously, just avoid it. It is extremely disrespectful and something that is not even up to debate for Muslims to do, let alone for non-Muslims. Using Prophet Muhammad as a character will only bring you problems. There is no issue with mentioning the Prophet during his lifetime when talking about his attributes, personality, sayings or teachings, but in no way, we introduce fictional aspects in a domain that Muslims worked, and still work, hard to keep free from any doubtful event or incident. Let’s call it a closed period: we don’t add anything that was not actually there.

Reiterating then, don’t do this. There is a good reason why Muslims don’t have any pictures of Prophet Muhammad. We know nothing besides what history conveyed from him. 

After this being said, there is another factor you missed – Jesus is also an important figure in Islam and his story from the Islamic perspective differs (a lot) from that of the Christian perspective. And given what you said in your ask, you would be taking the Christian narrative of Jesus. If it was okay to use Prophet Muhammad as a character (reminder: it’s not) and you have had your dark matter human interacting with the biblical Jesus, it will result in a complete mess; you would be conflating two religions.

2) Crusaders and Jerusalem:

You said this dark matter human will be defending Jerusalem against the Crusaders. At first, there is really no problem with this. However, ask yourself: is this interaction a result of your character meeting with both Jesus and Prophet Muhammed? If yes, please refer to the previous point. If not, or even if you just want to maintain this part of the story, your dark matter human can interact with the important historical figures of the time. For example, if you want a Muslim in your story, you can use Salah-Ad-Din Al-Ayoubi (Saladin in the latinized version) that took back Jerusalem during the Third Crusade. Particularly, this crusade has plenty of potential characters. 

Also, featuring Muslim characters post Prophet Muhammad and his companions’ time, is completely fine, just do a thorough research.

 3) Middle Eastern/South Asian settings and Orientalism:

The last point I want to remark is with the setting you chose for your story. Many times, when we explore the SWANA or South Asian regions it’s done through an orientalist lens. Nobody is really safe from falling into orientalism, not even the people from those regions. My suggestion is educating yourself in what orientalism is and how it’s still prevalent in today’s narrative. Research orientalism in entertainment, history... and every other area you can think of. Edward Said coined this term for the first time in history, so he is a good start. There are multiple articles online that touch this subject too. For further information, I defer to middle eastern mods.

Racism and Pseudo-Archaeology:

A gigantic, unequivocal and absolute no to all of it, lmao. 

I will stick to the bit about the proposed origin of mehendi in your WIP, it’s the arc I feel I’m qualified to speak on, Asmaa has pretty much touched upon the religious and orientalism complications. 

Let me throw out one more word: pseudoarchaeology. That is, taking the cultural/spiritual/historical legacies of ancient civilizations, primarily when it involves people of colour, and crediting said legacies to be the handiwork of not just your average Outsider/White Saviour but aliens. I’ll need you to think carefully about this: why is it that in so much of media and literature pertaining to the so-called “conspiracy theories” dealing with any kind of extraterrestrial life, it’s always Non-Western civilizations like the Aztec, the ancient Egyptians, the Harappans etc who are targeted? Why is it that the achievements of the non West are so unbelievable that it’s more feasible to construct an idea of non-human, magical beings from another planet who just conveniently swooped in to build our monuments and teach us how to dress and what to believe in? If the answer makes you uncomfortable, it’s because it should: denying the Non-West agency of their own feats is not an innocent exercise in sci-fi worldbuilding, it comes loaded with implications of racial superiority and condescension towards the intellect and prowess of Non-European cultures. 

Now, turning to specifics:

Contrary to what Sarah J. Maas might believe- mehendi designs are neither mundane, purely aesthetic tattoos nor can they be co-opted by random Western fantasy characters. While henna has existed as an art form in various cultures, I’m limiting my answer to the Indian context, (specifying since you mention ancient India). Mehendi is considered one of the tenets of the Solah Shringar- sixteen ceremonial adornments for Hindu brides, one for each phase of the moon, as sanctioned by the Vedic texts. The shade of the mehendi is a signifier for the strength of the matrimonial bond: the darker the former, the stronger the latter. Each of the adornments carries significant cosmological/religious symbolism for Hindus. To put it bluntly, when you claim this to be an invention of the aliens, you are basically taking a very sacred cultural and artistic motif of our religion and going “Well actually….extraterrestrials taught them all this.”

In terms of Ayurveda (Traditional holistic South Asian medicine)  , mehendi was used for its medicinal properties. It works as a cooling agent on the skin and helps to alleviate stress, particularly for the bride-to-be. Not really nice to think that aliens lent us the secrets of Ayurvedic science (pseudoarchaeology all over again). 

I’m just not feeling this arc at all. The closest possible alternative I could see to this is the ancient Indian characters incorporating some specific stylistic motifs in their mehendi in acknowledgement to this entity, in the same vein of characters incorporating motifs of tribute into their armour or house insignia, but even so, I’m not sure how well that would play out. If you do go ahead with this idea, I cannot affirm that it will not receive backlash.

You need to actually do the research and learn about them to determine if the story you want to tell is a good fit for the values and principles these cultures prioritize. Give Less Offense When Possible and Think Empathetically: You should try to imagine the mindsets of those you will offend and think about to what degree you can soften or ameliorate certain aspects of your plot, the creature’s characteristics, and the creature’s interactions with historical figures to make your narrative more compatible. There is no point pretending that much of areligious science fiction is incompatible with monotheist, particularly non-henotheistic, religious interpretations as well as the cultural items and rituals derived from those religious interpretations. One can’t take “There is no god, just a lonely alien” and make that compatible with “There is god, and only in this particular circumstance.” Thus:

Think about how you would feel if someone made a story where key components of your interpretation of reality are singled out as false. How does this make you feel? Are you comfortable doing that to others?

3. Is Pseudoarchaeology Appropriate Here?: Mimi makes a good point about the racial biases of pseudoarchaeology. Pseudoarchaeology is a particular weakness of Western-centric atheist sci-fi. Your proposed story is the equivalent of a vaguely non-descript Maya/Aztec/Egyptian pyramid or Hindu/ Buddhist-esque statue being the source for a Resident Evil bio weapon/ Predator nest/ Assassin’s Creed Isu relic.

Is this how you wish to draw attention to these cultures you admire? While there is no denying their ubiquity in pop-culture, such plots trivialize broad swathes of non-white history and diminish the accomplishments of associated ethnic groups. The series listed above all lean heavily into these tropes either because the authors couldn’t bother to figure out something more creative or because they are intentionally telling a story the audience isn’t supposed to take seriously.*

More importantly, I detect a lot of sincerity in your ask, so I imagine such trivialization runs counter to your expressed desire to depict Eastern cultures in a positive and accurate manner.

this is probably going to get long SO. here is a lovely read more!

so uh! for those of you who don’t know, at the end of evolution smp (at least for grian, a lot of the members continued without him), grian was chosen to become part of a group known as the watchers. his text at the end, where he becomes a watcher, is in bright, vivid red, probably because that’s his signature color.

surprisingly, despite the name, the watchers themselves don’t really appear much in this… interpretation? headcanon? au? concept? what does matter is that they are universal beings of peace and balance, and they need their balances. they’re pretty omnipresent, yet distant. the consequences of their choices are really the biggest thing to deal with here. the root of the red watcher concept is basically just tying grian’s end text color to the idea of red lives, something something a watcher of violence, something something balance keeper, something something oops now i have an entire concept and brainrot on my hands!

now i’m gonna copy-paste the explanation i wrote out on discord and sprinkle in some elaboration as needed! here we go, mario:

“the red watcher is a title, passed down between mortals and given by the watchers. each red watcher is given the full scale of watcher abilities, appearance, and an extended lifespan. in exchange, the red watchers must maintain balance for the watchers, essentially acting as a hand for the watchers to control. a pawn, of sorts.

naturally, the watchers select grian to be the next crimson-seeing at the end of third life, hence why i drew that one piece of him and scar kneeling in the lake, where he’s almost blinking back the yellow eyes that are following him. the gifts continually fuck with him throughout the course of that series (some of you might know that he was completely human before the series started), changing his appearance and basically everything about him. this interference from the watchers, grian’s rejection of said gifts, appearance, and interference, and the mutilation of the world work together to create the perfect storm of last life. the curse is spreading among the players because grian refuses to accept anything he’s been given, so restlessly, the mantle skips among the participants, never quite settling completely because the one who’s meant to take the role just *will not.*

but i mean. he’s the first victim of his own curse. the red watcher is also called the angel of violence.”

and here is a description of what exactly his defiance does to him (plus a general description of his design and its progression, including how he lost an ear!):

“okay so what changes first are the wings, obviously, uhh those grow in pretty soon after he first joins the world. the most fucked up things about 3L!grian are is slight talons, his wings, and his right ear. his right ear was blasted off in the battle of the red desert, and the wing-like replacement that grew back isn’t an ear so much as a reminder about how fucked up things are getting lmao. so this man is very hoh; him and scar invent a sort of shorthand signing system for battles where grian can’t hear him, but since he can still sort of hear with his other ear usually they talk to each other in casual situations. the talons are a formation that happens on his red life (one change per life hahaaa, wings on green, ear just before yellow, and talons on red). they’re not bird talons cos he’s a dragonfly, they’re harder and more spike-like, with better articulation than dragonfly spikes, but they’re still sort of coated in an exoskeleton because that’s sick as hell. in last life, he wakes up the same, but once they’re assigned their lives shit starts going south again, probably because he’s immediately yellow and because the watchers are impatient after being evaded for so long. his talons get longer and more armored, and as you can see his feet are now funky lil bug spikes because i think that looks neat! sorta took an inspiration from hollow knight for this design, though that’s more based on beetles. his eyes are prismatic like a dragonfly’s and it gives him a massive headache sometimes. i didn’t draw this part but! scar tore out a chunk of his wings during the finale of third life, so they shouldn’t be that complete. those wounds stayed, though eventually they might heal over, maybe. maybe.”

concepts from this also bleed into my hcs for other members! for instance, the inhuman progression isn’t necessarily limited to grian, though it works a bit differently for him. nearly everyone on the server experiences the same progression at different rates as a side effect of being on a server run by such a physically volatile being. grian’s will be near constant changes, but for the rest of the crew, it’s usually limited to life loss and change occurring then. some players— notably scott and martyn— are not human to begin with but have their inhuman features deepened over time (martyn is a moon spirit with dragon features and scott is a wind spirit with nymph-like tendencies). i have a progression planned for nearly every member because i’m a huge dork, so. if anyone’s curious! this post is the most in-depth one, though, because i am a fucking fool. this universe isn’t really connected to hc/empires or other servers, it’s self-contained! not sure if evo is even canon yet, though it probably is.

so yes! if you see me mention the red watcher concept, that’s what it is. it’s been a few times; i should make a tag for it, honestly. i get massive brainrot over this shit and i KNOW it’s overdone but MAN.
