#maybe its because its been fuck knows how many years since i watched 90% of c1 #but i actually find the way they're changing things up super fascinating #i have questions to be sure and i think they're all having so much fun watching people go THEY'RE NOT GONNA PERMAKILL PERCY ??#(they're obviously not going to leave percy dead)#but because so many things have been folded on top of each other to keep the pace in this several hundred hour campaign adaptation #idk! i just think it's neat! obviously we're not done with ripley yet so we'll see what happens there #also people being like “i didnt need a sad backstory for ripley” like that wasn't the most obvious vehicle to introduce the assembly #a lot of these scenes they're adding in or folding together are doing a LOT of work #the storytelling action economy is honestly astounding #like don't get me wrong i get why people are weirded out by it (i am too!
