How have you Changed this year? How do you plan to Change next year?

Ask of 24 of december omggggg... Also you probably didn't want an honest answer but I'm gonna give you an honest answer. But! First a jokey one:

I changed from a cat to a hyena and then I somehow got a star in my eye right before I started playing ISAT and got hiperfixated with Loop. I plan to change next year into a more cringe version of myself.

Now for a super long thing:

Changed last year? In regards to my art I just. I drew more fanart- It's a thing I am usually pretty anxious on? Ironically! Considering I have an entire blog JUST for fanart... But it gives me a bit of anxiety. Usually you don't do fanart just for your eyes so I tend to think my everything has to be good. Fan design, colors, lines, even sketches. I ignored it a bit with ISAT and honestly it's the healthiest i've felt with my art in ages SHAUSHU. Gotta say I got more comfortable just engaging in things I like. Although I still keep a few things just for myself- Which is good. Don't need to show everything you do.

In regards to... Me in general... Just trying to go from less communication to more. I like Loop and Siffrin a lot because we are alike- And some things other than the game (but the game did give me more of a drive to change- People won't like me less if I am just a bit more communicative, right?) just gave me a little swab to change. Also just plan on getting on better terms with my body before I can change it on my transition and stuff. Also. Just have been comming into terms with both the chance I get diagnosed with ADHD/Autism/AUDHD/BPD or not. Not that being any of these is bad and more that in my head (A thing I also plan to change in 2025) it makes more sense that I am fundamentally wrong and not that I have a disability that disabilities me.

Changing next year?

In regards to art... Well! I didn't really joke about being a more cringe version of myself. Being cringe is being happy after all.... But just. Try to finish more stuff but not forcing myself. Maybe doing more oc stuff publicly but ! that's not looking too good considering the growing lack of media literacy.... I do plan on doing more ISAT art. Always. For as long as I am living. Because even if the hiperfixation leaves I will still be in it enough to draw it from time to time

And lastly but not any less important- Still trying to communicate more. Maybe sprinkle in some more boundaries- Try to be healthier! Also trying to hit the gym or do calisthenics (or whatever that's called in english?) for both muscle and a better result if I am ever able to get top surgery. If I get into uni I just hope it isn't as ass as I believe it would be

Hmmm just gonna spit this headcanon out in text post form since A. I don't think I could exposit it well enough in image form and B. It's not actually textually/thematically substantiated and I don't like actually staking my stuff on just vibes alone*

But anyway. I'd say it's pretty evident that all the islanders forgot their names, right? King obviously. Because why the hell else would he do that, but also Siffrin No Middle Names No Last Name.

They're 'pretty sure' they've 'always' been 'Just Siffrin' 'as long as they can remember'. It's a pretty cruel twist of the knife to say that they don't even get to keep their birth name as a memento, which is why I'm saying as such.

My utterly unsubstantiated claim is I think it'd be cute to say that Sisyphus *is* the name Siffrin initially picked, assuming the myth of King Sisyphus is recontextualised as idk, just a play or something in the setting. But I like the idea of Siffrin going 'oh shit 🫵 he's just like me fr' at a tortured fictional character long before the irony kicks in.

As for how Sisyphus -> Siffrin. I think that chronic mumbler and emotional doormat Sif just did not correct people who misheard the name during their time travelling, and went through enough places with incompatible phonologies (pronounceable sounds in the language) without ever really writing it down that it just got kinda. Changed until it was unrecognisable, and Siffrin just went with it until the earlier pronunciations slipped out of their swiss-cheese brain. And they just kinda don't remember any of that.

Also, something something the horrid realisation that Siffrin also named themselves after a King. Just not as blatantly.

*(though I think there's something here about Siffrin, a guy from a belief system that seems to thoroughly disincentivise autonomy and self-motivated choice continuously having their hand forced to make changes/choices they don't want but have no choice but to... It's not solid enough to really back this up tbh, but it informs it.)

Concept design sketches for the main cast of Sonic Adventure in my superhero human AU! With both their hero personas and secret identities! (Or, in Knuckles’ case, his real identity and a casual style disguise for going about the city unbothered lol)

ALSO if you’re wondering why Tails and especially Big are still furries here… well this isn’t just a human AU, it’s also a superheroes AU so they all have the same powers that they have in canon! Tails is a shapeshifting kitsune who still uses his two tails to fly, and Big is a mutant and the local cryptid of the Mystic Ruins… but he’s still just a chill dude who likes fishing! He’s not exactly a ‘hero’ but he does have powers and likes to use them to help out his friends :)

my stp brainrot has combined with my casual interest in historical dress youtube and I decided to draw the Princess in a more historically-inspired outfit than her original design

If anyone's curious, her outfit/hairstyle is supposed to be from around 1828 ("around" bc my main reference/inspiration was definitely from 1828 but I had so many tabs open with different inspo images from nearby years and I don't remember which ones I actually used. also did you know it is surprisingly difficult to search for royal portraiture from a specific year) because based on some cursory googling, it seemed a lot of the elements of her canon base dress (off-the-shoulder, sweetheart neckline, poofy sleeves, straight waistline around the natural waist, skirt that isn't super full/poofy) seemed historically plausible for that time period

I also drew her hair in a more historically-accurate style for the period (but don't ask me exactly what's going on there because I'm not entirely sure myself) but I kept her canon tiara because it seemed plausible enough. anyway this was really fun to do!!!

Been thinking about idw1's outliers lately, and how sort of wild the whole concept is from a worldbuilding standpoint, and it struck me that most confirmed outlier abilities tend to be really useful, or flashy, or powerfully dangerous, and few to none tend to be like, really boring, or totally impractical, or even entirely useless? Which, doesn't really make sense when considering the fact that outlier abilities are seemingly random.

Surely not everyone who's born an outlier gets something useful?

And I don't mean like, "good" useful, but any sort of useful, even if that means you can kill people with your voice, or give a power boost by exploding yourself, those are still "useful".

But surely there had to be some with abilities that were totally impractical, or nonbeneficial, or at the very least just insignificant or purely aesthetic and pointless?

as for saejima, i do miss him being solo... like he's funny with majima at times, but as wack as Y4 was i still really liked his coliseum scene, and his prison adventures in Y5 were a real treat too..
