It's just them being a big, sad tragedy because that's what they are, even before they die. I want a canon divergent fic, where they are the tragedy they're supposed to be, but none of them die.

Had an idea for a palisade scene I want.

I want Brnine to convince Gucci to stay on Palisade. I think Gucci is gonna want to leave (bc explosion, yknow) and Brnine is gonna have a whole speech about how if this revolution is worth doing it is worth getting blown up for. And crucially they are NOT going to think about valence until after. And then they're gonna ignore that thought because if they don't they'll lose it. :)
